souls who are discouraged,

former church members.

We are praying for those
who lost their first love.

We're praying for
those Laodicean Christians,

those who need a
little spiritual joy

in their lives.

You know, the Lord said,

"If my people humble
themselves and pray,"

condition to God's promises.

summarizes the lost

into three different categories

different parables in Luke 15.

And He says the
parable of the Lost Sheep.

And this parable
represents those who are lost,

they know that they're lost,

but they can't
find their way back.

The second parable in Luke
15 talks about the Lost Coin.

This parable
represents those who are lost,

but they don't

things that we could use.

We've been eating
manna for a long time

but now, they came with grapes,

and pomegranates, and figs.

And if you consider there,

the invitation of the
Lord was from Numbers 13.

And there in
Numbers 13:23, it says,

and cut down
from thence a branch

with one cluster of grapes,

that's how big it was,

good news to bad news.

And the bad news starts

"Nevertheless
the people be strong

that dwell in the land,

walled, and very great,

And so once they
started hearing those things,

fear came upon the people

because the
children of Anak were giants.

So now, they're
envisioning giants,

and walls, cities,

an obstacle too
great for them to overcome

from the human standpoint.

And when we look
from the human standpoint,

with human eyes,

things can seem
out of reach for us,

but not all were

in that same
category of bad news.

They continued by saying,

"The Amalekites dwell
in the land of the south,

and the Hittites,
and the Jebusites,
00:15:16.88\00:15:19.18
and the Amorites,
dwell in the mountains,
00:15:19.21\00:15:21.42
and the
Canaanites dwell by the sea,
00:15:21.45\00:15:23.92
and by the coast of Jordan."

It's like we have no
hope to get in there.
00:15:26.12\00:15:30.16
And Numbers 13:30 says,
00:15:30.19\00:15:32.66
"And Caleb stilled the
people before Moses, and said,
00:15:32.69\00:15:36.33
Let us go up at
once, and possess it,
00:15:36.36\00:15:39.53
for we are well
able to overcome it."

And so it was a bold,

courageous statement of faith,

"We are well
able to possess it."

And when God goes before us,

they had heard the
promise that the God said,

"I'm gonna give you a land

So they took God at His word.

Unfortunately,

when they were outnumbered,

the people feared...

And if you look at Numbers 14...

Actually, I would
like to read Numbers 13:32,

so you can see

how they even
went a little further

with what their statements were.

"And they brought up
an evil report of the land

which they had searched

unto the children of
Israel, saying, "The land,

through which we
have gone to search it,

is a land that eateth
up the inhabitants thereof,

and all the people that we
saw are men of great stature.

And there we saw the
giants, the sons of Anak,

terrible thing to hear.

had put on this report

there are giants in
the land, there are...

"And it's
terrible, we can't go there,

let's not do
this, this is terrible."

And their hopes
were dashed as we hear.

Now when you go into Numbers 14,

it just gets worse and worse.

Notice what Numbers 14:1,
00:17:20.14\00:17:23.30
"And all the congregation
lifted up their voice,
00:17:23.34\00:17:26.47
and cried,
00:17:26.51\00:17:27.84
and the people wept

that night."

And so it was that all night,

the people were
crying and wailing

about what they came back with.

And they even said,

"Would to God that we had died

in the land of Egypt,

or died in the wilderness!"

And so in Numbers 14:4,

they even boldly said,

"And they said one to another,

"Let us make a captain,

and let us return into Egypt."'

What was in Egypt for them?

Slavery!

They prefer to go back to that

rather than do God's will.

This is how fearful they were.

And it's wonderful to hear

that even though they heard

these reports, Caleb and Joshua,

and they were not discouraged.

They didn't despair.

Once again,
they're making appeal,

and there in 14:7,

"And they spake unto

all the company of
the children of Israel,

saying, "The land,
00:18:37.48\00:18:38.98
which we passed
through to search it,

is an exceedingly good land.

If the Lord delight in us,

bring us into this land,

When the ambulance
came, they were shocked.

that anybody survive this thing.

way with this man

and I'm gonna call him Jim.

And he was there bleeding

but he was okay.

And one of the men
from the ambulance said,

at your pickup, mister.

It's destroyed, you

He was a little drunk

but he reacted and
looked at his pickup

and he realized
that God saved his life.

And then he said this,
that surprised me, he said,

"No, you know, how I
got your phone number?"

another channel appearing."

So it caught his
attention, he began to go,

"What's going on?"

And he said, "The wicked channel

got weaker and weaker

and the other channel
got stronger and stronger

until the wicked
channel disappeared.

And all I could see

myself, "God did that."

have turned the channel

but no, he continued watching.

And he realized he needed Jesus.

So he called for prayer.

And he said, "I think,

that story, I said,
