My name is 00:00:36.37\00:00:38.61 John Lomacang, welcome back to our 3ABN audience 00:00:38.74\00:00:41.52 and if you just joining us. Hey remember this channel, 00:00:41.55\00:00:44.47 don't turn away this is the place to be. You will 00:00:44.57\00:00:47.21 discover why this program is called Wonderfully Made 00:00:47.27\00:00:49.85 and we've as our guest today. Dr. Yvonne Lewis, 00:00:50.30\00:00:52.50 who is board certified in traditional Chinese 00:00:52.64\00:00:55.11 medicine and also a naturopathic doctor and 00:00:55.24\00:00:58.79 we've been blessed that she's walked us through nine 00:00:58.96\00:01:01.36 principles to revolutionize your life and we've walked 00:01:01.49\00:01:05.16 through her book also entitled 'Great Days'. 00:01:05.35\00:01:08.12 So, let's welcome her back at this time. 00:01:08.15\00:01:09.94 Dr. Lewis good to have you back. 00:01:10.54\00:01:11.67 Thank you so much, I'm glad to be here. 00:01:11.78\00:01:13.57 I've thoroughly been educated and I've also enjoyed 00:01:13.72\00:01:17.14 everything you've talked about, I mean I've got a lot 00:01:17.17\00:01:19.29 of stuff to do to have great days ahead of me, 00:01:19.32\00:01:22.99 but I'm getting there. Amen. And I just want to kind of 00:01:23.73\00:01:27.26 recap for those who are maybe joining this episode, 00:01:27.41\00:01:30.36 and miss some of the prior programs that we cover 00:01:30.85\00:01:33.08 some dynamic topics. First of all tell us about the book 00:01:33.23\00:01:36.53 'Great Days', Well Great Days is actually an acronym 00:01:36.79\00:01:39.89 for these nine principles of health that really if we 00:01:40.06\00:01:42.76 apply them, can revolutionize our life. 00:01:43.02\00:01:45.47 G is for good nutritious food, R is for rest, 00:01:46.39\00:01:49.21 relaxation and stress reduction, E is for exercise. 00:01:49.41\00:01:52.78 And our topic today is A. Okay. For adequate 00:01:53.08\00:01:56.87 hydration. Wow, and you know when we talk about the 00:01:57.04\00:02:00.66 one's great nutritious food, rest, relaxation, 00:02:00.87\00:02:03.88 stress reduction, and exercise. Those are some 00:02:04.17\00:02:06.72 things that lot of times we think that we have, we've 00:02:06.76\00:02:09.60 all those things down pad in our lives. But sometimes 00:02:09.81\00:02:12.76 the world is like a conveyable when we get on 00:02:12.80\00:02:14.80 early in the morning and it takes as where it wants 00:02:14.98\00:02:16.65 to, and drops us back at home, after it's used up. 00:02:16.85\00:02:21.16 So true. And so you are actually challenging people 00:02:21.90\00:02:24.51 to just take responsibility for their health. 00:02:24.59\00:02:27.68 Absolutely and we have to educate ourselves, 00:02:28.17\00:02:31.43 we've to really think and at the end of program I will 00:02:31.91\00:02:35.44 talk about think, because that's an acronym too, 00:02:35.47\00:02:38.64 I like acronyms. But we need to absolutely renew 00:02:44.13\00:02:45.10 our minds. We need to educate ourselves, because 00:02:45.11\00:02:46.64 there is so much information out there. We need to 00:02:46.67\00:02:49.30 find out which things apply to us and then apply these 00:02:49.42\00:02:52.74 principles, which is why we have Great Days, 00:02:52.94\00:02:54.71 because great days actually condenses a lot of health 00:02:54.84\00:02:58.41 information into these nine principles. 00:02:58.50\00:03:01.04 And by the way, I need to mention this the book 00:03:01.22\00:03:02.60 Great Days. If those who are watching or listening to 00:03:02.84\00:03:05.65 the program contact 3ABN and we will give you the 00:03:05.70\00:03:08.64 information, you need to get a copy of this book. 00:03:08.76\00:03:10.57 So, that if you think you miss something you can 00:03:11.14\00:03:12.65 get the remainder of it, by reading and following 00:03:12.81\00:03:15.17 the book as it outlines Great Days and specifics. 00:03:15.48\00:03:19.02 Absolutely and it also gives exercises that each person 00:03:19.05\00:03:22.01 can do to apply the principles to his or her 00:03:22.16\00:03:24.87 own life. And that's really critical because a lot of 00:03:24.90\00:03:27.45 times you get information and you don't know. 00:03:27.61\00:03:29.57 Well, how does this apply to me. You know, 00:03:29.88\00:03:31.71 how can I make this work for me and the book will 00:03:31.94\00:03:33.71 explain will kind a give people exercises to do 00:03:33.99\00:03:36.86 that. Okay, so we got, had some great food, 00:03:37.00\00:03:39.04 we got some rest relaxation and reduction of stress, 00:03:39.16\00:03:41.60 exercise. But now I've walked, let me just lead 00:03:42.15\00:03:45.54 into this way. Okay. One person was told by his doctor 00:03:45.61\00:03:48.66 to walk five miles a day and at the end of one week 00:03:48.78\00:03:51.61 he calls the doctor and said I'm 35 miles away 00:03:51.80\00:03:53.61 from home. What do I do now, I think in this case, 00:03:53.70\00:03:58.11 he leads into this very next one, the first thing he 00:03:58.21\00:04:00.07 needs to do is what. Drink some water, absolutely 00:04:00.20\00:04:04.90 you know we and that's really funny but we've 00:04:05.05\00:04:07.51 really don't drink enough water. We drink everything 00:04:07.58\00:04:10.29 else, that's right you know we will drink tea or you 00:04:10.40\00:04:13.12 know herbal teas, we will drink, some people they 00:04:13.15\00:04:15.87 drink lot of sodas and juice but not water, and water 00:04:16.28\00:04:21.46 is critical because it's water that actually pegs 00:04:21.61\00:04:25.42 every function of our body. Every function of the 00:04:26.18\00:04:29.83 body has to have water and so we don't have water, 00:04:29.94\00:04:34.58 we're dehydrated. There is a Dr. F. Batmanghelidj, 00:04:34.99\00:04:38.69 who wrote a book entitled Your Bodies Many Cries 00:04:38.87\00:04:41.26 For Water and he himself had been in a prison camp, 00:04:41.38\00:04:46.95 and he treated over two thousand cases of peptic 00:04:47.25\00:04:50.69 ulcers with just water. And so he said that if every 00:04:50.78\00:04:57.03 function in the body is monitored and pegged to the 00:04:57.11\00:04:59.76 efficient flow of water, we have to drink enough water 00:04:59.85\00:05:03.44 and that's one of the things that we're not doing. 00:05:03.59\00:05:05.49 Well, and when you go, you know you pull up to the 00:05:06.27\00:05:08.28 drive through window and they said. The world is 00:05:08.46\00:05:11.78 small nowadays, doesn't apply in America. 00:05:11.89\00:05:14.13 A small drink is actually in most countries are large. 00:05:14.22\00:05:16.76 Right, right. When you say large I mean, you need 00:05:16.79\00:05:18.49 to have strength and when you say super you need 00:05:18.52\00:05:20.62 to have muscles. Right. Because it doesn't even fit 00:05:20.65\00:05:22.94 into the tray and cause any longer, what do we in 00:05:22.97\00:05:25.81 the society and how important is just add that 00:05:25.84\00:05:28.47 water to our lives. How do we break that trend of all 00:05:28.59\00:05:32.95 the artificial hydrated materials that we put into 00:05:32.98\00:05:36.34 our bodies? Well, one thing that we need to do is, 00:05:36.47\00:05:38.64 there are people who just would say I just don't like 00:05:39.02\00:05:40.92 the way water tastes. It just doesn't have any taste I 00:05:41.01\00:05:43.61 don't like it, I want some taste, I want something 00:05:43.64\00:05:45.55 sweet. So, one thing that we can do is get some 00:05:45.78\00:05:49.71 organic oranges, wash them thoroughly, rinse 00:05:49.79\00:05:52.58 them, slice them very thinly and put them in a pitcher 00:05:52.61\00:05:56.76 of purified water, not tap water, but purified water 00:05:56.97\00:06:01.20 and drink that, it will give it flavor. It's refreshing 00:06:01.33\00:06:04.14 or lemon or strawberries. We're not talking about 00:06:04.20\00:06:07.28 squeezing it into the water. No we will just get 00:06:07.46\00:06:09.49 them slice it and just let it soak in the water and 00:06:09.52\00:06:13.74 just drink it. And for those people I had a patient 00:06:13.82\00:06:16.66 that came to me that just absolutely hated water and 00:06:16.80\00:06:20.08 she just, she said I just can't drink it, and I will 00:06:20.14\00:06:22.34 suggest to this to her and she loved it. She started 00:06:22.42\00:06:25.68 taking pictures of this drink to, to her office and 00:06:25.71\00:06:29.76 sharing it with others because it really helps. 00:06:29.86\00:06:32.58 Also we need to take a look at what is your weight, 00:06:33.23\00:06:37.25 divide your weight in half and then that's how 00:06:37.86\00:06:40.43 much in ounces you should drink. So, if you weigh 00:06:40.62\00:06:43.86 150 pounds for example, you should drink about 00:06:43.98\00:06:47.14 75 ounces of water a day. And you can drink a cup 00:06:47.26\00:06:51.41 an hour or something like that, just to stay hydrated 00:06:52.53\00:06:55.34 you don't have to drink a quart at a time or pine 00:06:55.37\00:06:58.61 at a time, if you absolutely have trouble with water, 00:06:58.64\00:07:01.68 just began to integrate it into your daily regimen. 00:07:01.92\00:07:05.43 Lot of people may think man divide my body weight 00:07:05.80\00:07:08.32 by in a half and that will turn it to ounces and 00:07:08.35\00:07:10.84 you know or called the ounces. And they think 00:07:11.41\00:07:13.88 that's a lot, but if you think about it is 8 ounce 00:07:14.05\00:07:17.49 glass times ten. That's eighty ounces. Exactly. 00:07:17.66\00:07:20.96 So that's ten eight ounce glasses. If you, if you get 00:07:21.02\00:07:23.66 one of those sixteen ounce bottle. That just four 00:07:23.84\00:07:26.27 bottles a day. Exactly. And but now lets talk about 00:07:26.45\00:07:30.55 in the market and I don't want to go into marketing 00:07:30.69\00:07:33.06 aspect of the different kinds of waters. Right. 00:07:33.12\00:07:35.63 There is all kinds and names, but we are talking about 00:07:36.30\00:07:37.98 just getting water. Get some purified water, 00:07:38.06\00:07:41.46 not tap water, but purified water. I know there are 00:07:41.78\00:07:44.67 a people who are drinking alkaline water, which is 00:07:44.88\00:07:47.39 good you know there is a whole deal with that, 00:07:47.53\00:07:50.71 with alkaline water and that's good. But if you 00:07:50.74\00:07:53.60 can't do that just get some purified water or get a 00:07:53.73\00:07:57.43 water purifier attached to your counter. So, that 00:07:57.48\00:08:00.87 you don't even have to drink the water out of the 00:08:00.95\00:08:02.81 plastic bottle, I mean the key is to get purified 00:08:02.88\00:08:07.26 water into the bodies. So, that the body can do 00:08:07.47\00:08:09.71 what it needs to do effectively. Now are there 00:08:09.84\00:08:13.92 ways that the body could begin to give us signals 00:08:14.09\00:08:16.22 that it really needs water that is really dehydrated. 00:08:16.49\00:08:18.83 Oh! Yes there are some dehydration signals that, 00:08:19.11\00:08:22.90 that the body will give that kind of gives you a tip 00:08:23.10\00:08:27.87 that you really need to start drinking some water. 00:08:28.18\00:08:30.38 You know, we get the dry tongue but. 00:08:30.41\00:08:31.38 Yes, but even dyspeptic pain and we have a graphic 00:08:31.73\00:08:35.17 on that. Dyspeptic pain, rheumatoid arthritis, 00:08:35.26\00:08:38.89 anginal pain, you know chest pains, lower back 00:08:39.33\00:08:42.95 pain, intermittent claudication, which is pain 00:08:43.20\00:08:45.77 with walking, migraine and hangover headaches, 00:08:45.87\00:08:48.91 and colitis & its associated constipation. These are 00:08:49.32\00:08:52.54 all signals that the body is dehydrated and as 00:08:52.69\00:08:56.36 Dr. Batmanghelidj has said that there are many 00:08:56.46\00:08:58.52 diseases that are stated to be of unknown origin 00:08:58.63\00:09:02.44 which really are the bodies way of saying I am 00:09:02.82\00:09:06.49 thirsty, give me some water and then it can just kind 00:09:06.57\00:09:10.83 of self correct. Because you know one of the 00:09:10.86\00:09:14.06 reason why it's hard to think about water I mean 00:09:14.09\00:09:16.31 there was time and I have been around long enough 00:09:16.48\00:09:18.80 to know that there was a time they didn't not sell 00:09:19.65\00:09:21.38 bottle water. The most we would do is boil it. 00:09:21.53\00:09:25.03 Yes. And put it in the fridge and get it cold and 00:09:25.27\00:09:27.83 get our water bottles. But now water is sold and 00:09:28.45\00:09:31.61 it's been you know just to be without a water 00:09:31.70\00:09:34.27 bottle, seems like a crime nowadays. But why with 00:09:34.32\00:09:38.18 so many water bottles being sold and so much 00:09:38.53\00:09:40.47 water being sold. Where is all this water going 00:09:40.63\00:09:43.83 could it be, that some of our practices actually rob 00:09:43.98\00:09:47.57 our bodies of moisture that it has. Oh! Yes and 00:09:47.64\00:09:51.00 some even drinking tea can make you thirsty; 00:09:51.39\00:09:55.08 it can cause you to be dehydrated because tea is, 00:09:55.12\00:09:58.43 tea has a tendency regular tea, caffeinated tea has 00:09:59.06\00:10:02.38 a tendency to dehydrate. So we need to again don't 00:10:02.41\00:10:05.91 substitute other fluids for water. Many times people 00:10:06.10\00:10:11.26 would drink soda you know and because they like 00:10:11.29\00:10:14.60 the taste, but again takes something put it in your 00:10:14.63\00:10:18.13 water a nice piece of fruit. You know organic 00:10:18.18\00:10:20.47 fruit again and give it some flavor. But definitely 00:10:20.59\00:10:24.90 you have to include water into the dietary. 00:10:25.30\00:10:29.36 You have to change from drinking all these other 00:10:29.44\00:10:32.12 fluids to water. And it's a lot less expensive if you 00:10:32.21\00:10:36.20 think about it. It is, it is especially if its', if it's 00:10:36.30\00:10:40.24 purified water from let's say you have the water 00:10:40.96\00:10:43.87 purifier in your home, then you are not buying the 00:10:43.90\00:10:46.75 bottle of water, because with the bottle of water 00:10:46.78\00:10:49.53 you have the problem of the plastics. You know, 00:10:49.59\00:10:51.97 the leaching of the plastic into the water and the 00:10:52.01\00:10:55.08 toxins, environmental toxins as the result of the 00:10:55.95\00:10:58.55 plastic getting in the water. So you have to be 00:10:58.64\00:11:01.13 careful with that, but it's so important to just drink 00:11:01.24\00:11:05.24 that water get that purified water from that, 00:11:05.39\00:11:07.84 purifier from your home, and put it a non leaching 00:11:08.10\00:11:12.58 plastic bottle, if you have to go out and then you 00:11:13.02\00:11:15.64 have water to drink, but not with your meals, 00:11:15.68\00:11:18.54 I need to say that. Okay, we'll go and talk about 00:11:18.62\00:11:20.49 that. Well, we tend to drink with our meals and 00:11:20.70\00:11:23.98 that's really not good because it dilutes the 00:11:24.01\00:11:26.02 hydrochloric acid in the stomach, causing the body 00:11:26.09\00:11:29.37 not the stomach not to be able to digest the food 00:11:29.42\00:11:32.37 properly. So we shouldn't drink with our meals. 00:11:32.50\00:11:35.20 If you drink we should drink a half hour before or two 00:11:35.31\00:11:38.23 and half hours after the meal. And that's, that's so 00:11:38.26\00:11:42.71 the digestion can accomplish it's task. 00:11:42.88\00:11:45.74 You know, what that would do to the restaurant 00:11:46.12\00:11:47.65 industry and the fast food chains. No, they wouldn't 00:11:47.71\00:11:50.35 be happy with me right now. Because it's a what 00:11:50.55\00:11:52.63 that you know sandwich only there as we want a 00:11:52.86\00:11:55.67 meal. Yeah. And, but that really does, come down to 00:11:55.86\00:12:00.16 two basic questions, are you more concerned about 00:12:00.28\00:12:02.50 the profits of the restaurant or the profits 00:12:02.53\00:12:05.75 to the physical benefits that you would get by 00:12:05.95\00:12:09.05 saying what's best for me. You mentioned something 00:12:09.20\00:12:12.54 a moment ago about the bottled water. I also heard 00:12:12.57\00:12:15.63 person said be careful in hot weather try not to 00:12:16.54\00:12:19.88 keep that bottle water in the car. That's right. 00:12:20.05\00:12:22.47 Because that's one of the quickest ways of it, 00:12:22.50\00:12:23.90 I forgot the terminology used. The plastic that 00:12:24.12\00:12:27.64 leaches into the water from heat. And you drink 00:12:27.76\00:12:31.87 the toxins. And you drink the toxins, daily. 00:12:32.07\00:12:35.20 So, now help them to, how do they make this to jump 00:12:35.88\00:12:39.56 from got to I've my Pepsi to mineral water. Yes, you 00:12:39.65\00:12:44.29 know one of the things that happens with the sodas 00:12:44.32\00:12:46.54 and I have an example of this in my book. 00:12:47.55\00:12:50.81 With the sodas you get kind of addicted to the 00:12:52.05\00:12:53.79 sodas and the taste and but all kinds of things 00:12:53.93\00:12:57.90 happen as a result of it, the skin can break out. 00:12:58.01\00:13:00.62 You don't feel that well, because you're getting 00:13:01.53\00:13:03.23 either a lot of the sugar that's in the sodas or you 00:13:03.36\00:13:07.29 are getting the artificial sweeteners if you get the 00:13:07.32\00:13:11.05 sugar free. So and the acids if you. If you read 00:13:11.15\00:13:14.65 the label, I want to challenge the viewers to 00:13:14.83\00:13:17.12 read the label that's on sodas. You're gonna find 00:13:17.28\00:13:20.65 water yeah, but it's all kinds of acid, sugar, 00:13:20.83\00:13:25.92 there is nothing. There is no food substance in it, 00:13:26.46\00:13:29.45 so its nothing but flavorings and sugar and 00:13:30.17\00:13:34.74 it tastes good, but it's harming the body and we 00:13:34.77\00:13:36.97 have to began to say. How we're gonna take care of 00:13:37.00\00:13:39.70 these temples? Are you we're gonna be good 00:13:39.86\00:13:41.44 stewards of these temples? What do we need to do 00:13:41.60\00:13:44.43 to honor God with these temples and so the water 00:13:45.07\00:13:48.52 situation is really critical. There was Dr. Jacqueline 00:13:49.20\00:13:54.19 Chan from Loma Linda, who has an article and she 00:13:54.44\00:13:59.58 did some research in the American Journal 00:13:59.70\00:14:01.31 of Epidemiology. She says and I quote 'Drinking high 00:14:01.47\00:14:05.26 amounts of water, plain water is as important as 00:14:05.41\00:14:08.10 exercise, diet or not smoking in preventing 00:14:08.37\00:14:11.62 coronary heart disease. Basically, not drinking 00:14:11.69\00:14:14.59 enough water can be as harmful to your heart as 00:14:14.72\00:14:17.23 smoking. This is something we don't think about, 00:14:17.47\00:14:20.50 we don't think that water is as important as not 00:14:20.74\00:14:24.96 smoking in taking care of heart. So, that is an, 00:14:25.24\00:14:29.30 she had this article in the American Journal 00:14:31.01\00:14:33.10 of Epidemiology. I mean, you never those are 00:14:33.13\00:14:36.02 so contrasting in our minds. It's hard to think that 00:14:36.13\00:14:39.48 you know I could be just as dangerous as the 00:14:39.82\00:14:41.45 person who is smoking. Yes, yes, yes. Also there 00:14:41.99\00:14:45.35 is some more research that says that increased water 00:14:45.38\00:14:48.29 consumption reduces degenerative disease, 00:14:48.48\00:14:51.54 mortality risk by half or more. In another words if 00:14:51.76\00:14:54.33 we increase our water, we can cut our risk of dying 00:14:54.52\00:14:57.37 by half or more from degenerative disease. 00:14:57.63\00:15:02.29 Also, this risk reduction equals more than other 00:15:02.80\00:15:06.00 preventive measures including exercise, 00:15:06.27\00:15:08.78 maintaining ideal weight, smoking sensation, 00:15:08.82\00:15:11.26 and lowering cholesterol levels. So, we don't need 00:15:11.74\00:15:15.74 to assume that drinking water is not that important. 00:15:16.27\00:15:19.65 It is critical for our health and that's why it's 00:15:20.04\00:15:22.89 one of the nine principles in Great Days. And you 00:15:23.06\00:15:26.36 know, just to add a little caveat out here or more 00:15:26.39\00:15:31.06 specifically not a caveat, but just in addition to this, 00:15:31.23\00:15:33.48 I also heard that one doctor said many of us think 00:15:33.88\00:15:36.80 that we have to take in oils for our joints to be 00:15:36.89\00:15:40.28 lubricated, but in fact the water lubricates our joints. 00:15:40.45\00:15:44.40 Yes and our backs, you know even people talk about 00:15:44.48\00:15:46.68 disk problems and all that and again drinking enough 00:15:46.80\00:15:50.91 water is critical for keeping lubrication in the disks, 00:15:51.08\00:15:55.27 so we will done. Now, as we go from the water, 00:15:56.45\00:15:59.39 what I like about this four points, good nutritious 00:16:00.12\00:16:02.35 food, rest, relaxation, stress reduction, exercise 00:16:03.12\00:16:05.70 water, but all of the sudden, the body starts to 00:16:05.84\00:16:09.08 respond in what ways can we see the benefits. 00:16:09.19\00:16:12.61 From all of these combined practices, well we began 00:16:13.37\00:16:17.52 to see. We feel better, we are sleeping better, 00:16:17.60\00:16:20.44 we have more energy and then we begin to have 00:16:21.08\00:16:25.86 thoughts that are positive. We must really cultivate 00:16:26.16\00:16:31.36 positive thoughts; there was something really 00:16:31.51\00:16:34.96 exciting to me as I was doing the research for the 00:16:35.03\00:16:37.98 book. I read Dr. Caroline Leaf, who was a Christian, 00:16:38.14\00:16:41.60 she is out at Texas too. She wrote the book called 00:16:42.60\00:16:44.35 'Who Switched Off My Brain', and she says that 00:16:44.65\00:16:47.19 thoughts have an actual anatomical representation in 00:16:47.37\00:16:51.29 the laboratory and that toxic thoughts have little 00:16:51.42\00:16:57.00 thorn like appendages on them. And that when we 00:16:57.31\00:17:01.55 think toxic thoughts, when we visit these thoughts 00:17:01.65\00:17:04.73 there, there are toxins in these thorn like appendages 00:17:05.50\00:17:08.94 that shoot off toxic substances into the brain, 00:17:09.05\00:17:14.03 which gets into the blood stream. Wow, 00:17:14.06\00:17:16.30 and this travels throughout our bodies and we 00:17:16.33\00:17:20.08 become sick, we're unhappy all these things are result 00:17:20.14\00:17:24.90 of toxic thoughts. But she says one of the things 00:17:24.93\00:17:28.64 that gets rid of the thorns that helps us to 00:17:28.67\00:17:31.48 reprogram our neurocircuitry is 00:17:31.63\00:17:34.41 forgiveness. So, not only when Jesus told us to 00:17:34.63\00:17:38.24 forgive seventy times seven, it wasn't just for 00:17:38.53\00:17:42.39 someone else, it was because by forgiving we get rid 00:17:42.42\00:17:46.63 of these toxic chemicals in our brains. And we can 00:17:46.66\00:17:50.92 rewire the neurocircuitry. It's just a really 00:17:51.08\00:17:53.46 fascinating thing to see how the Bible and science 00:17:53.57\00:17:57.41 can coexist. You mentioned in the text earlier I believe 00:17:58.16\00:18:01.78 it's by being transformed by the renewing of your 00:18:01.89\00:18:06.06 mind and also another one that came to my mind 00:18:06.17\00:18:08.55 when you mention that is our thoughts 00:18:08.71\00:18:12.67 really predetermined who we're as a man think is. 00:18:13.23\00:18:16.92 So is he. One person point out an eagle looks down, 00:18:16.95\00:18:20.02 a buzzard looks up. What's the difference there to 00:18:20.15\00:18:22.34 both birds. But it's the focal point, we could look 00:18:22.41\00:18:26.25 through the people or we could look at the entire 00:18:26.31\00:18:28.58 room of the focal point determines often times what 00:18:28.69\00:18:32.96 goes into our minds and so that's, so our focus really 00:18:33.05\00:18:36.69 is a large part of what's happening in our minds. 00:18:36.92\00:18:40.12 Yes, absolutely and that's the thing is that we can 00:18:40.15\00:18:44.86 impact our physical health by the way we think, 00:18:45.18\00:18:48.50 because again if we're harboring ill feelings toward 00:18:49.39\00:18:53.14 our brother or sister and we have no, we have 00:18:53.17\00:18:55.55 unforgiveness toward someone. That has 00:18:55.74\00:18:57.96 physiological manifestations and so we want to honor 00:18:58.04\00:19:02.54 God by thinking thoughts that are positive by 00:19:02.76\00:19:05.90 focusing on whatever is pure, whatever is holy, 00:19:06.06\00:19:09.33 whatever is a good report think on these things? 00:19:09.49\00:19:12.19 Because that's what can really change our health 00:19:12.59\00:19:15.21 status as well not just, I'm not saying this an 00:19:15.36\00:19:18.57 isolation, right can change our health status but 00:19:18.67\00:19:21.65 this in combination with the other principles can 00:19:22.20\00:19:25.40 really make a difference we need to forgive if 00:19:25.53\00:19:28.04 anybody is harboring, holding anger, and 00:19:28.08\00:19:30.77 bitterness. We need to let go of that and 00:19:30.82\00:19:35.22 think thoughts that are positive, pray for our 00:19:35.72\00:19:38.00 enemies. You know do good to them that hurt us and 00:19:38.20\00:19:41.89 so if we, if we can do that we can have a difference 00:19:41.92\00:19:46.55 in our health status. Now also the other thing 00:19:46.69\00:19:48.99 that impacts our thoughts is not only our environment 00:19:49.04\00:19:52.12 because our environment is a huge contributing factor 00:19:52.20\00:19:55.23 toward our books or reading or music, everything, 00:19:55.30\00:19:58.32 our Bibles whether or not it is included in our lives. 00:19:58.90\00:20:01.70 Yes. So, plus thus break that egg open and fry it 00:20:01.93\00:20:05.28 so to speak. Well, the thing is, is that, 00:20:05.46\00:20:07.82 there are so many ways to impact the way we think 00:20:08.51\00:20:12.88 play music that lead you to the throne of God and 00:20:13.28\00:20:17.27 there is some music from me and I had mention this 00:20:17.30\00:20:20.23 to you during, before we started that. I'm so blessed 00:20:20.43\00:20:24.15 by your music, that there is an anointing there. 00:20:24.28\00:20:27.12 When you come into the presence of the Lord. 00:20:29.44\00:20:31.88 For me, I mean when I'm in his presence, I began 00:20:32.04\00:20:34.85 to cry sometimes because I can sense it and music 00:20:34.88\00:20:38.09 there is certain songs, there are certain, there are 00:20:38.23\00:20:40.40 certain music that just kind of ushers me into the 00:20:40.43\00:20:42.67 throne and so that is it reading our Bibles, 00:20:42.85\00:20:46.65 you know finding scripture that ministers to your 00:20:47.23\00:20:50.87 heart. That also was important and also reading, 00:20:50.90\00:20:54.37 reading books the Desire Of Ages for me just brings 00:20:54.91\00:20:58.14 me into such close fellowship with the Lord 00:20:58.21\00:21:01.53 because you can, it paints such a wonderful picture 00:21:01.68\00:21:05.43 of who Christ was and is. So, if we read things, 00:21:05.56\00:21:09.42 we listen to music, we think thoughts that are 00:21:09.51\00:21:12.29 positive, we pray and ask God to give us what we 00:21:12.55\00:21:15.88 need in our hearts. To fix us, create in us, clean 00:21:16.33\00:21:20.06 hearts and renew our spirits within us. I think 00:21:20.16\00:21:22.25 God will do that. You know because people 00:21:22.45\00:21:24.18 sometimes are covered under a mountain of regrets. 00:21:24.26\00:21:28.28 Yes. And some people get to the point in their 00:21:28.44\00:21:31.31 lives where they feel, there is so much against me, 00:21:31.46\00:21:34.46 so much on me, so much I have to correct, 00:21:34.56\00:21:36.93 that I just might as well give up. Yes. 00:21:37.86\00:21:40.65 And I heard a person go to book talk about the 00:21:40.75\00:21:44.04 difference between our death day and our burial 00:21:44.30\00:21:46.43 date. Some people die, but they're still walking the 00:21:46.58\00:21:49.53 earth and I think that's what Jesus Menomonee 00:21:49.56\00:21:51.91 says, awake he had sleep in the dust. And so there 00:21:52.03\00:21:54.88 are some individuals who are living a dusty life, 00:21:54.91\00:21:57.21 because their thoughts have become their daily 00:21:57.31\00:22:00.40 jail. And they're not incarcerated, but they're 00:22:00.67\00:22:02.41 in their mind. So, true, and that's, that's such good 00:22:02.44\00:22:05.25 point. We, who we can set up our own prisons and 00:22:05.33\00:22:09.66 still be supposedly free, but we can be enslaved by 00:22:09.83\00:22:13.45 certain things, sin can enslave us. But we, we have 00:22:13.64\00:22:17.81 victory, victory at the health, in our thoughts 00:22:18.40\00:22:22.88 we have victory through Christ and that is such a 00:22:23.08\00:22:25.77 wonderful thing. Wow, that's I mean. Such a 00:22:25.84\00:22:27.73 wonderful thing. Change the way you think. 00:22:27.86\00:22:30.24 Change the way you think, changing the way we 00:22:30.40\00:22:32.83 think is one of the most powerful things we have 00:22:32.94\00:22:36.49 that, one of most powerful things that we can do 00:22:36.61\00:22:39.06 to improve our health. But what about those people 00:22:39.18\00:22:41.60 that say well you know my mom did this way and 00:22:41.79\00:22:44.92 my mom's mom did it that way and we kind of 00:22:45.13\00:22:47.52 become traditional, traditionally chronic in our 00:22:47.94\00:22:52.42 thinking and sometimes you met people. 00:22:52.60\00:22:55.00 When we talk about people though. You have 00:22:55.72\00:22:57.21 in your office who, who come from this long line 00:22:57.28\00:22:59.82 of people who look down. That is life is terrible for 00:22:59.85\00:23:04.86 me and never had it easy and they just live this, 00:23:04.89\00:23:08.83 the heaping coals on their own head because 00:23:09.31\00:23:11.82 they just have not found a reason to break away 00:23:11.89\00:23:13.92 from, how do we help them? Well, we have to 00:23:14.13\00:23:16.23 know that negative thinking has effects on the body 00:23:16.40\00:23:20.80 and on the spirit. So, we have to reduce the results 00:23:20.94\00:23:27.85 of negative thinking. Negative thinking actually 00:23:27.90\00:23:31.14 reduces the effectiveness of the immune system. 00:23:31.27\00:23:33.71 It increases "negative" hormones in the body. 00:23:34.41\00:23:36.81 And accelerates aging, you know people who think 00:23:36.93\00:23:39.33 negatively look old. It interferes with the 00:23:39.60\00:23:42.23 acid alkaline balance and actually stimulates the 00:23:42.64\00:23:44.94 production of certain harmful acids in the body. 00:23:45.10\00:23:47.87 So, we know that negative thinking can have 00:23:48.26\00:23:52.04 physiological effects on the body can actually lead to 00:23:52.30\00:23:56.16 accelerating aging. But if we think positively then 00:23:56.78\00:24:00.65 we can have the benefits of positive thinking and 00:24:00.91\00:24:03.69 those are, it slows down aging, stimulates the 00:24:03.93\00:24:07.59 release of endorphins. You've a better social life. 00:24:07.71\00:24:11.00 It tends to attract success. And it also reduces the 00:24:11.57\00:24:14.00 risk for degenerative disease. I also think that 00:24:14.13\00:24:17.15 people that find ways to have their minds sort of 00:24:17.40\00:24:20.57 speak changed need to really focus on something 00:24:20.83\00:24:24.62 that they know is elevating. As a Pastor the word of 00:24:24.72\00:24:27.71 God elevating, if you wanna really look at things 00:24:28.16\00:24:31.09 that could come directly at you, look at the life 00:24:31.14\00:24:33.66 of Christ, but then sometimes you just wanna 00:24:33.76\00:24:35.24 read the book of Proverbs. That's a wisdom you know, 00:24:35.29\00:24:38.85 little nuggets of wisdom. Yes. That will just say to 00:24:39.05\00:24:41.38 you. You know things that will just get you to 00:24:41.41\00:24:44.38 think. And I think that we were talking about here 00:24:44.42\00:24:46.53 open and tend is how to stimulate thinking. 00:24:47.22\00:24:49.77 Yes. Something that people don't really do very 00:24:50.05\00:24:52.03 much. Well because we are so caught up in the day 00:24:52.07\00:24:54.17 to day, you know, our routines swallow us up, 00:24:54.20\00:24:57.48 our routines kind of distract us from really 00:24:57.77\00:25:00.62 thinking. And then we have you know, we want 00:25:01.16\00:25:03.49 to wedge out, so we turn on the TV just to relax. 00:25:03.52\00:25:06.76 Somebody else thinks for us. And somebody else 00:25:06.94\00:25:08.84 thinks for us. We are not really thinking through 00:25:08.97\00:25:12.48 some things, and we really do in order to change our 00:25:12.61\00:25:15.54 results, we have to change our behaviors? And so, 00:25:15.57\00:25:18.57 if we began to think more about how we're living and 00:25:18.81\00:25:22.78 what that expects of us, and how we can serve him 00:25:22.83\00:25:25.68 better then, then we can you know, actually change 00:25:25.86\00:25:30.96 the picture, change our health outlook and that's 00:25:31.52\00:25:34.25 what we want to do. Some people think the, 00:25:34.28\00:25:36.29 or the things in life will never workout for them, 00:25:36.37\00:25:39.67 when in fact, they have the responsibility to change 00:25:40.05\00:25:42.55 the way they think. Yes. To change the end result. 00:25:42.62\00:25:45.58 That's right. And what about those who are 00:25:45.72\00:25:47.29 just thinking is gonna happen without any effort 00:25:47.54\00:25:49.42 at all. Then they're delusional because we have 00:25:49.70\00:25:54.05 to take charge of our own health and we have to, 00:25:54.08\00:25:57.39 we have to make decisions. The life is about series 00:25:58.02\00:26:01.73 of choices. We can choose life or we can 00:26:02.26\00:26:04.49 choose death. If we choose to change the road, 00:26:04.63\00:26:07.86 the path that we are on, then we have different 00:26:08.02\00:26:10.73 outcomes. I tell people, if you just have the salad 00:26:10.88\00:26:13.38 once a week then that's not gonna do any good, 00:26:13.81\00:26:17.22 if you have a piece of cake occasionally that's 00:26:17.36\00:26:20.05 not gonna hurt you. Is the path that you're on? 00:26:20.08\00:26:23.22 Okay. That's important, not the occasional digression, 00:26:23.26\00:26:26.76 either way that makes a difference. And so, thinking 00:26:26.88\00:26:30.68 is something that has to be done intentionally. 00:26:30.89\00:26:33.18 That's right. Not incidentally. That's right. 00:26:33.66\00:26:35.71 And so, when, when our minds keep going, then our 00:26:35.75\00:26:38.64 bodies begin to response to that once it's positive. 00:26:38.69\00:26:41.77 Yes, that's correct. So we have talk about adequate 00:26:42.40\00:26:45.91 hydration and positive thinking with the entire 00:26:45.97\00:26:50.63 package good nutritious food, rest relaxation, 00:26:50.73\00:26:53.63 stress reduction our exercise and 00:26:53.79\00:26:56.62 all comes together. And God didn't 00:27:53.50\00:27:56.99 create you to be a failure, if he is the creation, 00:27:57.26\00:27:59.85 if he is the creator and you are his child, he has a 00:28:00.20\00:28:03.36 plan to make your life wonderfully made.
