and somehow there
was the spark of life.

And that is how they
explain your existence.

But you know, the Bible
has a message for us today.

When you look at the earth

and the perfect revolution

it makes around the sun,

it doesn't get too close

so that we don't burn up,

it doesn't go too far away

don't freeze to death.

It is perfectly fine tuned.

benefit of humanity

that vegetation grows

Everywhere you go in nature,

you will see design as
if someone was involved

in the process of making things

just the way they need to be.

even beauty in nature that

tell you that somebody went

and every aspect of it.

and we're going

Then God said, 'Let
Us make man in Our image,

according to Our likeness,

let them have dominion
over the fish of the sea,

and over the cattle,

fill the earth and subdue it.

that moves on the earth."

Everything adapted to our needs,

This is what the Bible tells us,

Notice verse 17, "The Lord

And so you see,

that the Lord is gracious,

You know, it's interesting
that you look at the earth

and there are

the different
seasons of the year

and they all have
their particular beauty.

And every season
you can expect that

eventually spring will come.

Sometimes it seems
like it's going to delay

because of the snow, but
eventually the spring comes

and the summer comes,

and the fall comes
and the winter comes.

They have their seasons.

The Bible says that

He is the one that
established the seasons

and so it's not that

the earth does
whatever it wants to be.

You see, God created the heavens

and the earth and
He is there sustaining.

He is there taking care of it

to make sure it
works in perfect order.

Marvelous is the Lord.

But you see, I
mentioned that eventually sin

came into the world, we
don't have time to detail

all how Satan came
to tempt Adam and Eve

and the process that took place,

how he tried to persuade Eve
to eat of the forbidden fruit

and lie to her, but
eventually they ate.

You see, Satan
plans to do you harm.

You may have
already noticed that.

You may have already suffered

because of some
things he has done.

But Satan plans to do you harm.

And I'm going
now to John Chapter 8

and we're going to
read verses 42 through 44.

John 8:42-44, join me now.

And notice what the Bible says,

this is Jesus
talking to the scribes

and the Pharisees

and He says something about them

because they were confused

and they were trying to trap him

to try to find
something wrong with Him.

And here in verse
42, Jesus said to them,

"If God were your
Father, you should love Me,

for I proceeded
forth and came from God,

nor have I come of
myself, but He sent me.

Why do you not
understand my speech,

because you are not
able to listen to my word?

You are of your father,

the devil and the desires

of your father you want to do.

He was a murderer
from the beginning

and does not stand in the truth

because there
is no truth in him.

When he speaks a lie,

he speaks from
his own resources,

for he is a liar
and the father of it."

Now this is Jesus
talking about the devil

and he says
that he is a murderer

and a liar and he has lied to

each and every one of us

and many of us have
been deceived by his lies.

And it is time to realize that

we may be heading,

you may be
heading down the wrong way

that's going to
lead to destruction.

And I encourage you,

I invite you to leave that way

and go and follow Jesus

because in Jesus is
life and He will deliver you

from the snares of the devil
and the deception of the devil.

Satan plans to do you harm.

He may be giving you gifts,
00:13:35.81\00:13:38.35
he may be giving
you a job, money,
00:13:38.38\00:13:41.58
or enticing you to
follow some woman or some man,

but it's a person that
Satan is using to deceive you

and lead you astray.
00:13:51.19\00:13:53.73
And I encourage you

to accept the
invitation of Jesus

to be rescued from
this horrible deceiver,

the devil.

Notice what it
says in 1 Peter 5:8,

"Be sober, be vigilant

because your adversary,
the devil walks about,

like a roaring lion seeking
00:14:14.08\00:14:16.58
whom he may devour."

A lion goes around
seeking for prey to devour,

and tries to find weakness,

and tries to find the
right moment to attack.

I have seen
those nature programs

where the lion sneaks around,
00:14:35.47\00:14:37.87
finds the moment and rushes in
00:14:37.91\00:14:40.51
and attacks the victim
00:14:40.54\00:14:43.41
and the same way
the devil does to us.
00:14:43.45\00:14:47.62
We can learn a lot from nature
00:14:47.65\00:14:49.62
about how God is and even
about how the devil works.
00:14:49.65\00:14:53.15
And the Bible uses the word lion
00:14:53.19\00:14:55.86
to describe the
actions of the devil.
00:14:55.89\00:14:58.99
But notice that it says,
00:14:59.03\00:15:00.46
be sober, be vigilant,
God is willing to help us.

God wants to help us.
00:15:04.37\00:15:05.70
He wants to rescue us,

but we also must do our part
and be sober and be vigilant.

Why?

Because your adversary,

the devil is
trying to destroy you.

But Jesus came
to seek and to save.

that have been delivered.

Let's go quickly
to Genesis Chapter 3.

This is after
Adam and Eve has sinned

and after they had
sinned, they realized something.

They began to realize that

they have lost things

and they began
to experience things

that were not favorable.

Notice in Genesis
Chapter 3, beginning in verse 7.

The Bible says, "And they heard

the sound of the Lord God

walking in the garden
in the cool of the day,
00:16:04.33\00:16:07.20
and Adam and his
wife hid themselves
00:16:07.23\00:16:09.86
from the
presence of the Lord God
00:16:09.90\00:16:13.44
among the trees of the garden.
00:16:13.47\00:16:16.24
Then the Lord called
to Adam and said to him,

'Where are you?'"

The message that God
had for Adam and Eve is,

where are you?

And you know, it's
very interesting that

they began to
experience something

that they had
never experienced before.

Verse 10, says, "So he said,

'I heard your
voice in the garden."

Question, did Adam know God?

Yes. He says, I
heard your voice.

It's like saying,
I know who you are.

I heard you.
00:16:56.08\00:16:57.98
And then it says,
"And I was afraid,

because I was
naked and I hid myself."

Never before had
Adam been afraid,

never before had
he hid from the Lord.
00:17:09.66\00:17:14.10
He heard the Lord
walking in the past,

he will go out to meet Him
00:17:16.16\00:17:17.57
because as the
Lord spoke to him,

I'm sure he heard words
00:17:20.70\00:17:23.44
that helped him to
learn more about himself,
00:17:23.47\00:17:25.97
helped him to
learn more about nature,
00:17:26.01\00:17:27.91
helped him to learn
more about God and he,

I'm sure looked forward
00:17:30.48\00:17:32.35
to spending time with God.
00:17:32.38\00:17:33.72
But now, because of sin,
he began to experience fear,
00:17:33.75\00:17:37.52
he began to realize that
00:17:37.55\00:17:40.46
he was not as
before, now, he was naked.

And, of course,
you know the story,

the Lord told Adam and Eve

not to eat of the forbidden tree

because when they ate
of the forbidden tree,

then they were subject to death.

But Romans 6:16
has a message for us.

And I want to make sure that

It says here,
"Do you not know that

to whom you present
yourselves slaves to obey,

you are the one's slaves

whom you obey,
