in today's message.

"A Prophetic Panorama."

the panorama feature,

you can take in an
entire scene from left to right,

all in just one clip,
and it shows a panoramic view

and brings everything into view.

Well, today, prophetic panorama,

what we're gonna be talking
about is we're gonna be looking

at the events of the end times.

What's gonna happen
between right now where we are,

and the Second Coming of Jesus?

Many people have ideas,
many people have theories

and different perspectives
as to what we can expect

coming in the near future.

But today, we're gonna
dive deep into the Word of God,

and into the writings
of the Spirit of Prophecy.

We're gonna use
both of these powerful

sources to pull
together a timeline
00:01:58.45\00:02:02.02
of events that will happen
between right now our time,
00:02:02.05\00:02:05.55
and, of course, this great,
amazing event that we know

as the Second Coming
of Jesus in which Jesus
00:02:08.22\00:02:10.33
is gonna return and
bring in into this world.

Now before we pray, I
just want to give kind
00:02:13.09\00:02:14.83
of a disclaimer here.

You know, this timeline
that we're gonna be bringing up

in just a few moments,
as we're working our way

through this journey together.

Perhaps some of these
events overlap each other,

we're not gonna stick or
marry ourselves to a particular,

you know, sequence of events
in the sense that I'm certainly

not trying to say that these
are gonna happen in the exact

order that I'm
gonna present them today.

But I believe
that this timeline,

this prophetic
panoramic view of the end time

Bible prophecy
events, that I believe

that we're going
to see them unfold

very similar to what we're

We certainly know that
these events will happen.

And that's the main thing.

events are going to happen

we're gonna talk about,

will indeed happen prior
to the Second Coming of Jesus.

up a timeline in just

a few moments as we
work through this in a very

systematic and methodical way.

what Your Word has to
say about these powerful

end time events, so
that we can be prepared

ultimately for the

Your Holy Spirit to dwell in us,

I don't think
anyone's going to deny

the fact that if
you open your eyes

and have been paying
attention to the things

that are happening around
us all around the world over

the past couple
of decades, at least,

and you can even
extend it beyond that,

probably the past few decades,
00:04:52.75\00:04:54.69
maybe even the past
couple of 100 years,

but for sure in our
time over the past couple

of decades or so, I
don't think anyone's gonna
00:05:00.36\00:05:03.00
deny that we
have indeed seen signs
00:05:03.03\00:05:06.90
of the times in
large biblical proportion.

Of course, we
read about these signs
00:05:11.14\00:05:12.54
of the times in
multiple different
00:05:12.57\00:05:13.91
passages in the gospels,
00:05:13.94\00:05:15.28
more specifically
Matthew Chapter 24.
00:05:15.31\00:05:18.21
Also we can get
dive into Mark 13,
00:05:18.25\00:05:20.48
and Luke 17,
and Luke Chapter 21.
00:05:20.52\00:05:23.12
And as you just
kind of, you know,
00:05:23.15\00:05:24.49
go across those gospel passages.
00:05:24.52\00:05:27.16
And again, the signs of
the times are not just found
00:05:27.19\00:05:30.06
just in those gospel passages,
over into the writings of Paul,
00:05:30.09\00:05:33.60
and in the writings of
John, and Peter, and James,
00:05:33.63\00:05:37.03
and all the way across
the New Testament writers.
00:05:37.07\00:05:40.07
And also even in
some of the Old Testament
00:05:40.10\00:05:42.10
books as well, we find multiple
passages, deep prophetic
00:05:42.14\00:05:46.21
passages that show us and
tell us of all of the signs
00:05:46.24\00:05:49.51
of the times that
are going to unfold
00:05:49.54\00:05:51.11
and happen on this planet
prior to the Second Coming
00:05:51.15\00:05:54.25
of Jesus.
00:05:54.28\00:05:55.62
What I would like to
do is start in the Book
00:05:55.65\00:05:57.55
of 1 Thessalonians Chapter 5,
00:05:57.59\00:05:59.65
and we're gonna read the
first three verses to start out
00:05:59.69\00:06:02.29
our presentation.
00:06:02.32\00:06:03.66
And I want you to focus in
on what Paul is saying here,
00:06:03.69\00:06:05.66
because this is crucial.
00:06:05.69\00:06:07.03
And this is gonna help set us
up for our prophetic panoramic
00:06:07.06\00:06:10.43
view of Bible prophecy.
00:06:10.47\00:06:12.70
Again, 1 Thessalonians 5:1-3.
00:06:12.73\00:06:16.20
Notice what Paul says,
00:06:16.24\00:06:18.37
he says, "But concerning
the times and seasons,
00:06:18.41\00:06:20.34
brethren, you have no need
that I should write to you.
00:06:20.38\00:06:23.65
For you yourselves
know perfectly that the day
00:06:23.68\00:06:25.71
of the Lord so comes
as a thief in the night.
00:06:25.75\00:06:29.68
For when they say,
'Peace and safety!'
00:06:29.72\00:06:32.95
Then sudden
destruction comes upon them,
00:06:32.99\00:06:35.32
as labor pains
upon a pregnant woman.
00:06:35.36\00:06:37.99
And they shall not escape."

Of course, this is one of
those great passages describing
00:06:42.13\00:06:45.57
the end times, in fact,
the moments that will happen
00:06:45.60\00:06:48.84
prior to and
leading up to this great
00:06:48.87\00:06:51.37
Second Coming event,
00:06:51.41\00:06:52.74
the great
return of Jesus Christ.
00:06:52.77\00:06:54.71
And I just want to highlight
00:06:54.74\00:06:56.08
a few details from
this particular passage.
00:06:56.11\00:06:58.05
It's interesting that he goes
on to describe two different
00:06:58.08\00:07:00.72
groups of people.
00:07:00.75\00:07:02.08
He describes a group of people
that he's referring to as they,
00:07:02.12\00:07:06.02
and then he is addressing
00:07:06.05\00:07:07.62
a group of people
that he refers to as you.
00:07:07.66\00:07:10.46
And it's interesting,
because the you he's addressing
00:07:10.49\00:07:12.89
is very clear, he's writing
to the church at Thessalonica,
00:07:12.93\00:07:16.16
hence why this book is
called 1 Thessalonians.
00:07:16.20\00:07:18.77
And, of course,
there's a second letter
00:07:18.80\00:07:20.30
that he wrote to the
church of Thessalonica, as well.
00:07:20.34\00:07:23.34
But when he says to
them, or to the church,
00:07:23.37\00:07:26.27
he says to you,
00:07:26.31\00:07:27.64
and he's
referring to them as you,
00:07:27.68\00:07:29.34
he talks about
the secondary group,
00:07:29.38\00:07:30.88
and he refers to them as they.
00:07:30.91\00:07:32.61
They, of course,
being those who are not
00:07:32.65\00:07:35.08
prepared for the
Second Coming of Christ.
00:07:35.12\00:07:37.19
And, in fact, it approaches
them and comes upon them
00:07:37.22\00:07:40.16
as a thief in the night.
00:07:40.19\00:07:41.69
But verse 3 is what
really sticks out to me.
00:07:41.72\00:07:44.23
It says, "For when they
say, 'Peace and safety!'
00:07:44.26\00:07:47.20
Then sudden destruction
comes upon them as labor
00:07:47.23\00:07:50.47
pains upon a pregnant woman.'"
00:07:50.50\00:07:52.50
And then Paul uses an
interesting double negative
00:07:52.53\00:07:54.80
here in the
original Greek language.
00:07:54.84\00:07:56.30
He says, "And they
shall no, not escape."
00:07:56.34\00:08:00.81
There's an
emphasis provided there.
00:08:00.84\00:08:03.18
God is wanting to
emphasize through Paul,
00:08:03.21\00:08:06.18
the gospel writer
here, as He's wanting to,
00:08:06.21\00:08:08.58
He's wanting to
emphasize through him that there
00:08:08.62\00:08:11.42
is coming a time in
which these two groups
00:08:11.45\00:08:15.02
of people will be
present on planet earth.
00:08:15.06\00:08:17.53
Some of them will
indeed be prepared.
00:08:17.56\00:08:19.69
We'll see that in just a moment.
00:08:19.73\00:08:21.06
We'll talk about the you group
in just a few moments toward
00:08:21.10\00:08:24.03
the end of this presentation.

But nonetheless, he's
referring to them, they he says,

they, "When they
say, 'Peace and safety!'
00:08:28.64\00:08:32.04
Then sudden destruction comes
upon them as labor pains upon
00:08:32.07\00:08:34.78
a pregnant woman, and
they shall no, not escape."

Now, referring to
this peace and safety time.
00:08:38.21\00:08:41.12
This, of course, is a
communication from Paul
00:08:41.15\00:08:43.25
in which again,
by the Holy Spirit,
00:08:43.28\00:08:45.29
he's being led to
write to these church members
00:08:45.32\00:08:47.19
to tell them
that in the last days,
00:08:47.22\00:08:49.16
even among the church,
there will be some people
00:08:49.19\00:08:52.29
who were just
living life as if there...
00:08:52.33\00:08:54.33
As if there is no God,
00:08:54.36\00:08:55.70
they'll be living
life vicariously just,
00:08:55.73\00:08:58.40
you know, completely oblivious
to the signs of the time,
00:08:58.43\00:09:01.37
saying peace and
safety, everything's okay.
00:09:01.40\00:09:04.11
And then sudden
destruction comes upon them.
00:09:04.14\00:09:06.88
And notice what he
says here, as labor pains,
00:09:06.91\00:09:10.78
labor pains on a pregnant woman.
00:09:10.81\00:09:12.81
Now, that's an
interesting way to describe it,
00:09:12.85\00:09:14.72
because the signs of the
times that we're talking about,
00:09:14.75\00:09:18.05
well, if you go back and study
them in Matthew Chapter 24,
00:09:18.09\00:09:20.69
we know that Jesus list quite
a few of them talking about
00:09:20.72\00:09:23.86
earthquakes in various
places, and there's gonna be,
00:09:23.89\00:09:27.53
you know, there's gonna
be destruction in Jerusalem,
00:09:27.56\00:09:30.57
destruction all over the world.
00:09:30.60\00:09:32.37
There's gonna be these
different signs in the heavens,
00:09:32.40\00:09:35.14
there's gonna be pestilences,
and wars and rumors of wars,
00:09:35.17\00:09:38.47
and all of these many, many
different signs that he lists.
00:09:38.51\00:09:41.31
But it's interesting
that in Matthew 24:8,
00:09:41.34\00:09:44.88
after he's
already listed several
00:09:44.91\00:09:46.75
of these different
signs of the times.
00:09:46.78\00:09:49.38
Notice what Jesus
says in verse 8, He says,
00:09:49.42\00:09:51.92
"All these are the
beginning of sorrows."
00:09:51.95\00:09:56.83
Now that's interesting
because the word sorrows
00:09:56.86\00:09:59.43
there in the original
Greek is the same word that Paul
00:09:59.46\00:10:03.77
uses over in 1 Thessalonians
Chapter 5 when he says,
00:10:03.80\00:10:07.47
when they say peace and safety,
00:10:07.50\00:10:08.84
then destruction comes upon
them as, notice, labor pains,
00:10:08.87\00:10:11.91
same word labor pains
used here where Christ says,
00:10:11.94\00:10:15.51
"All of these are the
beginning of sorrows."
00:10:15.54\00:10:17.91
In fact, other translations say,
00:10:17.95\00:10:19.45
"All of these are the
beginning of birth pains."
00:10:19.48\00:10:23.52
Now, that shouldn't surprise us.
00:10:23.55\00:10:25.12
In fact, many
people have questioned
00:10:25.15\00:10:27.19
the validity of the Scripture
00:10:27.22\00:10:28.56
when it comes to these signs
because they say, you know,
00:10:28.59\00:10:30.73
it's making it out to be like,
all of these signs are new,
00:10:30.76\00:10:33.96
that they've just come
about in the last days.
00:10:34.00\00:10:35.86
And you know,
that we're seeing all
00:10:35.90\00:10:37.37
of these new
afresh for the first time,
00:10:37.40\00:10:39.33
when in reality,
there's always been earthquakes,
00:10:39.37\00:10:41.90
there's always been war,
there's always been famines,
00:10:41.94\00:10:44.67
there's always been pestilences,
00:10:44.71\00:10:46.21
there's always been, you know,
stars falling from the sky,
00:10:46.24\00:10:48.84
and all these
different heavenly signs.
00:10:48.88\00:10:50.75
And so, hey, you know
what the Bible can't be really
00:10:50.78\00:10:52.98
taken seriously in this
sense, because we always
00:10:53.01\00:10:55.82
had these things.
00:10:55.85\00:10:57.39
But that's not what Jesus
was trying to communicate.
00:10:57.42\00:10:59.82
He's not trying to say
that these are necessarily new,
00:10:59.85\00:11:02.49
or that we
should watch for them,
00:11:02.52\00:11:04.16
because it's gonna be
something new to come upon
00:11:04.19\00:11:06.13
the earth that we've
seen for the first time.
00:11:06.16\00:11:08.60
No, the key to
this is understanding it
00:11:08.63\00:11:10.47
from what Paul is saying,
and what Christ is saying,
00:11:10.50\00:11:13.23
that they shall come
upon you as labor pains,
00:11:13.27\00:11:16.37
Paul or Jesus says, "All
of these are the beginning
00:11:16.40\00:11:18.77
of labor pains."
00:11:18.81\00:11:20.34
You see, when you think
about labor pains, you think,
00:11:20.38\00:11:22.94
and of course, I can't
speak on this personally.
00:11:22.98\00:11:24.88
But I have women in my
life who have had babies.
00:11:24.91\00:11:28.02
And it's interesting
that when they get that first
00:11:28.05\00:11:30.52
contraction, that
first labor pain, it's sharp,
00:11:30.55\00:11:33.25
it's painful, right?
00:11:33.29\00:11:34.62
Ladies, you know
what I'm talking about,
00:11:34.66\00:11:36.16
as I'm talking about this,
but again, the first one comes,
00:11:36.19\00:11:39.13
and then, you know, it may
not be as bad as the second one,
00:11:39.16\00:11:42.13
the second one's gonna be
a little bit more intense.
00:11:42.16\00:11:44.17
And then the third one comes,
it's a little bit more intense.
00:11:44.20\00:11:46.53
And then the fourth
one is much more intense.
00:11:46.57\00:11:47.90
And as the baby gets closer
to coming into this world,
00:11:47.94\00:11:51.04
those labor pains,
00:11:51.07\00:11:52.41
those contractions
become so much more intense.
00:11:52.44\00:11:54.61
And what's also interesting
is the time interval,
00:11:54.64\00:11:58.48
the interval of time between
the first and the second,
00:11:58.51\00:12:02.65
and the third, and
the fourth labor pain,
00:12:02.68\00:12:04.79
that time is
getting shorter and shorter,
00:12:04.82\00:12:06.76
they're
happening more frequently.
00:12:06.79\00:12:09.36
I believe, my
friends, that indeed
00:12:09.39\00:12:11.66
is what we are seeing
00:12:11.69\00:12:13.03
and what we are
seeing that Jesus
00:12:13.06\00:12:14.60
and Paul was talking about,
that these signs of the times,
00:12:14.63\00:12:17.63
it's nothing new.
00:12:17.67\00:12:19.10
But what's
happening in our time,
00:12:19.13\00:12:20.47
much different than
any other time before us
00:12:20.50\00:12:22.97
is that all of these
events, all of these signs
00:12:23.00\00:12:25.67
of the times that are
indications that Jesus
00:12:25.71\00:12:27.94
is coming back soon.
00:12:27.98\00:12:29.31
They're
happening more frequently,
00:12:29.34\00:12:31.48
and they are much more
intense than in many years
00:12:31.51\00:12:34.68
and decades past.
00:12:34.72\00:12:38.55
In fact, I said
earlier that the signs
00:12:38.59\00:12:40.89
of the times are not only
in the gospel record insofar
00:12:40.92\00:12:44.33
as the gospels,
Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John,
00:12:44.36\00:12:46.09
but they're found in many other
places of Scripture as well.

Let me give you an
example of another sign
00:12:48.93\00:12:50.77
of the time that many
people may not consider.
00:12:50.80\00:12:52.97
Let's go to 2 Timothy 4:2-4.
00:12:53.00\00:12:57.17
This indeed is
another sign of the times.
00:12:57.21\00:12:59.87
In other words,
something that will
00:12:59.91\00:13:01.41
happen that's an
indication that Jesus
00:13:01.44\00:13:03.58
is indeed coming back very soon.
00:13:03.61\00:13:06.11
2 Timothy 4:2-4.
Notice what the Bible says.
00:13:06.15\00:13:10.25
Paul is writing, he
says, "Preach the word,
00:13:10.29\00:13:13.32
be ready in season
and out of season."
00:13:13.36\00:13:15.82
And King James Version
says, "Be instant in season
00:13:15.86\00:13:18.63
and out of season,
reprove, rebuke, exhort with
00:13:18.66\00:13:21.83
all long suffering and doctrine.
00:13:21.86\00:13:23.80
For the time will
come when they," notice,
00:13:23.83\00:13:27.07
"when they shall not
endure sound doctrine."
00:13:27.10\00:13:31.44
And he goes on to say,
"But after their own lusts
00:13:31.47\00:13:34.14
shall they heap to
themselves, teachers,
00:13:34.18\00:13:36.34
having itching ears, and
they shall turn away their
00:13:36.38\00:13:39.51
ears from the truth,
00:13:39.55\00:13:40.88
and they shall be
turned into fables."

You see that, indeed, my
friends is a sign of the times.
00:13:44.49\00:13:47.76
That's an indication
that we are fast approaching
00:13:47.79\00:13:50.26
the Second Coming of Jesus.

When people in this day,
at a time when the gospel
00:13:51.86\00:13:54.96
is more available, more
readily available than any other
00:13:55.00\00:13:57.87
generation and any
other people before us,

any other time before us.

We are seeing very
clearly, that when we have
00:14:02.24\00:14:04.84
more information available
to us about who Jesus is,

and the Gospel of Jesus Christ,

more and more people in our
time are rejecting that truth.
00:14:09.48\00:14:14.58
They're not
listening to sound doctrine.
00:14:14.62\00:14:16.82
And notice Paul is
writing about the church.

He's writing about a people
who have been exposed to this,
00:14:19.95\00:14:23.43
they're hearing it, but
yet they have turned their ears
