that the Bible talks
about in Revelation Chapter 12,

that says that old serpent
called the devil there came

to the Garden of
Eden to tempt first Eve

and continued by
using Eve to tempt Adam.

And the Bible

So we see that because of
sin entering into this world,

there was a need for a Savior.

and that Savior is Jesus Christ.

that He is the
Lamb that was slain

from the
foundation of the world.

In other words,
God saw ahead of time

and knew that the
emergency would come,

formulated a plan of salvation

and He had a
plan already in place.

Let's go to the Book of Genesis,

to go to Chapter 3

and see the promise
when it was first revealed.

In Genesis 3:15,

the Bible says,
"And I will put enmity

between you and the woman."

This is God
talking to the serpent,

in the hearing of Adam and Eve,

"Between you and the woman

and between your
seed and her Seed.

He shall bruise your head,"

that is Jesus will
bruise the head of the serpent,

"and you shall bruise his heel."

Here we have the promise

that the Seed of the woman

would bruise the serpent's head.

And we have that
blessed hope of salvation

through Jesus Christ.

And it was hoped by Eve

and by just about
every woman after her,

that her child
would be the Messiah,

the Savior of the world.

This is why when Cain was born,

Eve said, "I have
gotten a man from the Lord,"

with hope that
Cain, her first born son
00:04:57.09\00:05:00.10
would be the Messiah.
00:05:00.13\00:05:02.06
Unfortunately, we
know that they, he was not.
00:05:02.10\00:05:06.10
Now, you may see
00:05:06.13\00:05:09.10
that Cain and Abel
00:05:09.14\00:05:14.54
were taught by Adam and
Eve to offer sacrifice to God.
00:05:14.58\00:05:18.75
Now, I want to
point out something to you
00:05:18.78\00:05:21.35
because as soon as
there was a sinner,
00:05:21.38\00:05:23.45
there was a Savior.
00:05:23.49\00:05:24.82
And from the very beginning,
00:05:24.85\00:05:26.32
God wanted to teach Adam and Eve
00:05:26.35\00:05:29.46
that death is the result of sin.
00:05:29.49\00:05:32.39
So in Genesis Chapter 3,
we are now going to verse 21.
00:05:32.43\00:05:36.46
Notice what the Bible says,
"Also for Adam and his wife,
00:05:36.50\00:05:41.14
the Lord God made tunics of skin
00:05:41.17\00:05:44.67
and clothed them."
00:05:44.71\00:05:46.44
So if God made tunics of skin,
00:05:46.47\00:05:49.64
this must mean
that animals died.
00:05:49.68\00:05:52.78
And so the sacrifice was made
00:05:52.81\00:05:56.48
and the skin was used
to clothed Adam and Eve,
00:05:56.52\00:06:00.16
and this was
the first sacrifice,
00:06:00.19\00:06:02.99
that sacrifice.

Now remember,

all the animals that typified
00:06:05.76\00:06:08.70
Jesus Christ had to be
without spot or blemish.

And in the Garden
of Eden in the earth

made that newly created
00:06:15.04\00:06:17.67
all the animals were
without spot or blemish.
00:06:17.71\00:06:21.31
So this animal was
sacrificed. The blood was shed.
00:06:21.34\00:06:25.85
And by the means of
the blood of that animal,
00:06:25.88\00:06:28.88
the symbol meant that
00:06:28.92\00:06:32.52
the death of the
Savior would be typified,
00:06:32.55\00:06:36.09
was typified by the sacrifice.
00:06:36.12\00:06:38.33
So Adam and Eve
understood that Jesus Christ,
00:06:38.36\00:06:41.70
the Son of God would come
00:06:41.73\00:06:43.57
to rescue them and
to pay for their sins.
00:06:43.60\00:06:47.94
And so Cain and Abel,
as you notice in the Bible,
00:06:47.97\00:06:51.37
were taught how to
bring sacrifices to the Lord.
00:06:51.41\00:06:56.01
And, you can see,
you can follow the Bible
00:06:56.04\00:06:59.08
and see that
Abraham offered sacrifices
00:06:59.11\00:07:01.85
and Jacob offered
sacrifices and on and on.
00:07:01.88\00:07:06.05
Now we go to the
Book of Exodus 25:8,
00:07:06.09\00:07:09.52
when God instructs
the people of Israel
00:07:09.56\00:07:12.56
to build a sanctuary.
00:07:12.59\00:07:14.10
Let us go to Exodus 25:8.
00:07:14.13\00:07:17.07
And God said to Moses,
00:07:17.10\00:07:18.97
"And let them
make Me a sanctuary,
00:07:19.00\00:07:21.80
that I may dwell among them."
00:07:21.84\00:07:24.41
The sanctuary was the place
00:07:24.44\00:07:27.01
that God said His
presence would be in,
00:07:27.04\00:07:30.21
in the Most Holy Place.

And we're going
to talk about this

and all this has to do
with the final cleansing.

So pay close attention,

because this is
very important for you

which are the Ten Commandments,

and above it were
the cherubim of glory

overshadowing the mercy seat.

Of these things we
cannot now speak in detail."

So let's take a look at

Then the next thing you see,
as you move towards the left,

in the Book of

there also was the
golden pot that had manna,

And, of course, it

but the laws
containing ordinances

were on the side of the ark.

And this all typified
the work of the high priest

that were sacrifices
were offered daily there.

As a matter of fact,

every evening and
morning there was a sacrifice.

Let's go to the Book
of Exodus Chapter 29.

And let us read quickly there,

as you will notice
in Exodus Chapter 29,

and we're going
to read verse 39.

This is what the Bible, says,

"One lamb you shall
offer in the morning,

and the other lamb you
shall offer at twilight,"

or at evening as
some Bible version say.

So one lamb in the morning,

and one lamb in the evening
was offered every single day
00:11:00.09\00:11:04.33
to typify that
God was their Savior.

The lamb was a symbol of
Jesus Christ in the morning
00:11:08.70\00:11:12.53
and in the evening,
00:11:12.57\00:11:13.90
know, to let them
know that they depended
00:11:13.94\00:11:17.34
on Jesus Christ.
00:11:17.37\00:11:18.84
They depended on the Lord.
00:11:18.87\00:11:20.41
But also, as you
notice in the Bible,

you will notice that
there was a need for people

when they send to bring
a lamb or another animal
00:11:27.72\00:11:31.65
as registered there
in the Book of Leviticus,
00:11:31.69\00:11:36.83
you will notice that
details are given to us
00:11:36.86\00:11:40.06
as to what animal for what sin
00:11:40.10\00:11:42.86
and for what
person are to be offered.
00:11:42.90\00:11:44.83
Let's look to
Leviticus 5:6-7 really quick.
00:11:44.87\00:11:48.70
And we have here,
00:11:48.74\00:11:50.07
"And he shall bring
00:11:50.11\00:11:52.57
his trespass offering
to the Lord for his sin
00:11:52.61\00:11:56.41
which he has committed,
a female from the flock,
00:11:56.44\00:12:00.45
a lamb or a kid of the
goats as a sin offering.
00:12:00.48\00:12:04.15
So shall the priest
make atonement for him
00:12:04.19\00:12:08.02
concerning his sin."
00:12:08.06\00:12:09.66
Now notice how God

is considerate of
people's finances.

If he's not
able to bring a lamb,

then he should bring to
the Lord for his trespass,

which he has
committed two turtledoves

or two young pigeons,

one as a sin offering

and the other as
a burnt offering.

And every person that sinned,

which is, which was every
one of the people of Israel

had to bring an animal.

When the animal was brought,
and I want to illustrate here

just by the use of
this that I have before me,

that when an animal was brought,

the sinner had to put his
hand over the head of the animal
00:12:41.76\00:12:46.59
and there confess his sin
on the head of the animal.

This was a symbol
00:12:51.00\00:12:52.53
that he was transferring
his sin to the animal.
00:12:52.57\00:12:56.97
The animal then died
in the sinner's place.

His blood was shed.

And the Bible says that
without the shedding of blood,

there's no remission of sin.

This was all symbolic
typifying that Jesus Christ,

the Son of God would
come to take away our sins.

And so this daily took place by,

then the blood was
taken into the Holy Place
00:13:19.19\00:13:22.06
and also put on the
horns of the altar sacrifice.

This meant that the sin
was symbolically transferred

to the Holy Place.

And so, this went on day by day,

but notice what the Bible says

concerning the sin

and the cleansing of the people.

We now move to a day

that was typified
would come every single year,

because the Bible declares

that the sins were
brought again to remembrance.

This is called
the Day of Atonement.

The Day of Atonement,

the word atonement

is not a word we
use every single day.

Notice, "This shall be

you shall afflict your souls,

and do no work at all,

of your own country

So, on the Day of Atonement,

and the cleansing of

And we're going to
talk about that in a moment.

But notice what the
Book of Hebrews reveals,

because like we said,

these were all
symbolic of Jesus Christ.

"For the law,

the good things to come,

and not the very
image of the things,

which they offer
continually year by year,

make those who approach perfect.

For then would they not
have ceased to be offered?

For the
worshipers, once purified,

more consciousness of sins.

But in those sacrifices

reminder of sins every year.

the animal sacrifices were not,

for those sacrifices

They were symbolic

till the time that
Jesus Christ would come

redeem us from destruction,

go to the Book of John,

John, there is a scripture

that was mentioned
by John the Baptist.

One day, he
pointed to Jesus Christ

in the midst of the people

that was walking
amongst the people

and there in John 1:29,

he said, behold,

"The next day John saw
Jesus coming toward him,

and said, 'Behold!

The Lamb of God
00:17:08.59\00:17:10.53
