there in West Frankfort

and they decided almost to
just close off almost a whole,

you know, one or two miles

and it's really
kind of aggravating.

And so first thing I began to do

is look for shortcuts.

I began to try to
turn off on another street

and whatever it might take.

And so I kind of felt
for this man here and,

you know, long lines,

slow moving cars
and he was in a hurry.

And he actually saw a big sign
at the beginning of the bridge

unlawful to pass on the bridge.

Well, he was in a hurry.

Like we would all say,
well, I was in a hurry.

And he's anxious to
travel a little bit faster

to stop, pull over.

Let's start with this
because it has something to do

that's quite potent.

When you look at it here,

we have no great men among us.

That might be
different than some men

are thinking today
because they might think

that they're pretty great.

They might think, oh,
well we have a big work.

We have a big ministry.

We have whatever it might be.

We're doing a
lot of good things.

And people tell you

how great that
you are all the time.

But notice here
we have no great men,

and don't try to
make yourself one.

We need to look at the approach
here at that we are little men

handling great messages.

If we keep that balance,

I believe God
will be able to use us

in a very special way.

We need to learn
to guard the message

that God has
given us as His people.

You know, in His
commission to His disciples.

And I love it. Jesus always,

He talked to His disciples

and He told them
what was taking place

and what was going to take place

and how they could be ready.

That kind of
interesting, you know,

when we think about
here, Jesus even outlined,

He outlined

that what He would have
the disciples to be doing

should be doing today.

First of all, and
this is very simple,

He outlined their work.

As today, He outlines our work.

What He wants us to be doing.

gave them their message.

But Jesus made it very simple.

There's an encouragement

If He's given us our

We're fearful of the outcome.

but sometime they try
to think they're big men

backwards in my opinion.

Jesus now opens the gospel
door wider for the disciples.

Why?

Because they had
relied upon Him bodily.

See the disciples,
they followed Jesus.

not always be with them.

want this to be a bad thing,

the older dog leads out,

and what happens?

The puppy follows everything
that the older dog does

little ones are watching

and seeing the flutter, oh,
this is the way that it's done.

the little ones are excited

they're fluttering their wings,

trying to encourage you

to go do something
for the cause of Christ.

Get involved, get involved
in ministry, do something.

The gift that God has
given you is exciting.

Here what Christ was doing was

or just go to church every week.

compel them to come in.

We need to be fluttering
as it were stirring things up.

And He stirred up the disciples
to get them out of the nest
