Hello, I'm Shelley Quinn 00:00:28.86\00:00:30.19 and we welcome you to 3ABN Worship Hour. 00:00:30.23\00:00:33.40 Let me ask you. 00:00:33.43\00:00:34.76 When you think of an angel, what comes to mind? 00:00:34.80\00:00:38.10 Typically we think of angels as winged ministering spirits, 00:00:38.13\00:00:42.80 and while the Bible clearly identifies 00:00:42.84\00:00:46.51 an order of created beings that fit this description. 00:00:46.54\00:00:51.38 Did you know that most people's concept 00:00:51.41\00:00:54.28 of angels is not biblical? 00:00:54.32\00:00:57.09 In the Greek and in the Hebrew, 00:00:57.12\00:01:00.42 the original languages of the Bible, 00:01:00.46\00:01:04.89 what we translate the words that we translate 00:01:04.93\00:01:09.50 angel are also translated "messenger." 00:01:09.53\00:01:13.97 In fact that's what they denote 00:01:14.00\00:01:17.01 and is used of ordinary people, priests, prophets 00:01:17.04\00:01:20.14 and even a special heavenly messenger 00:01:20.18\00:01:25.61 of deity. 00:01:25.65\00:01:26.98 Our Bible study today, 00:01:27.02\00:01:28.35 we're going to answer three questions. 00:01:28.38\00:01:31.15 One, what does angel mean 00:01:31.19\00:01:34.22 in the original Hebrew and Greek? 00:01:34.26\00:01:36.96 Two, who is the Angel of the Lord, 00:01:36.99\00:01:40.16 also known as the Angel of His presence? 00:01:40.20\00:01:42.86 The Angel of the covenant. 00:01:42.90\00:01:45.07 And three, 00:01:45.10\00:01:46.63 who is the only Archangel 00:01:46.67\00:01:50.81 that is named in the Bible? 00:01:50.84\00:01:54.64 You're going to find that our message today 00:01:54.68\00:01:58.58 which is titled "Heavens Archangel" 00:01:58.61\00:02:02.68 is a study that can erase folklore, 00:02:02.72\00:02:07.62 erase myths that are popular about angels 00:02:07.66\00:02:11.83 and we're going to go to the scripture 00:02:11.86\00:02:14.86 and let the Bible give us the answers. 00:02:14.90\00:02:17.93 I sure hope that you have a pencil and a paper 00:02:17.97\00:02:21.70 so that you can jot down the scripture references 00:02:21.74\00:02:24.34 and double check me on your own. 00:02:24.37\00:02:26.51 We're gonna go very fast, but first let's pray. 00:02:26.54\00:02:29.84 Heavenly Father, we come before You 00:02:29.88\00:02:31.45 in the name of Jesus 00:02:31.48\00:02:33.18 and, Lord, we thank You for our Lord Jesus. 00:02:33.21\00:02:36.75 We thank You for the Word and the Holy Spirit, 00:02:36.79\00:02:38.82 please send the Holy Spirit now 00:02:38.85\00:02:41.59 to be our teacher 00:02:41.62\00:02:44.83 as we look at Your Word in Jesus' name. 00:02:44.86\00:02:47.96 Amen. 00:02:48.00\00:02:49.86 What does angel mean 00:02:49.90\00:02:52.93 in the original Bible's languages? 00:02:52.97\00:02:55.84 There's two words, 00:02:55.87\00:02:57.21 the Hebrew word is "malak" 00:02:57.24\00:03:02.01 and the Greek word is "angelos," 00:03:02.04\00:03:05.01 you can see where we got angel from. 00:03:05.05\00:03:07.42 The Greek word is angelos. 00:03:07.45\00:03:09.75 These original words were translated 00:03:09.78\00:03:14.02 into English 00:03:14.06\00:03:15.79 most often as messenger or angel, 00:03:15.82\00:03:21.23 but in the original languages they signified messenger. 00:03:21.26\00:03:27.50 It seems that English translators 00:03:27.54\00:03:30.51 generally took malak or angelos. 00:03:30.54\00:03:34.54 And if it was talking about an earthly messenger, 00:03:34.58\00:03:37.88 then they called it messenger 00:03:37.91\00:03:39.91 but if it was talking about a heavenly being, 00:03:39.95\00:03:42.48 they most frequently called it an angel. 00:03:42.52\00:03:46.32 When we think of an angel, 00:03:46.35\00:03:50.06 we're thinking of the nature of a being, 00:03:50.09\00:03:52.29 but an angel does not describe, 00:03:52.33\00:03:54.30 the word does not describe the nature 00:03:54.33\00:03:57.13 but they offers the position of the power 00:03:57.17\00:04:00.40 and the authority as a messenger of God. 00:04:00.44\00:04:03.44 He sends forth these messengers to do His bidding, 00:04:03.47\00:04:09.01 as His agents to fulfill His purposes. 00:04:09.04\00:04:12.71 Now as I said, the Bible clearly does identify 00:04:12.75\00:04:17.62 an order of beings that fits our typical understanding, 00:04:17.65\00:04:23.53 but scripture describes seraphim, 00:04:23.56\00:04:28.20 cherubim as winged creatures, 00:04:28.23\00:04:32.30 but did you know not all angels have wings 00:04:32.33\00:04:36.20 and contrary to popular images 00:04:36.24\00:04:39.67 that we see of women angelic angels, 00:04:39.71\00:04:43.88 women and baby cherubs with little fat cheek. 00:04:43.91\00:04:47.95 In the Bible angels were always men. 00:04:47.98\00:04:52.45 They do have different ranks of dignity and power, 00:04:52.49\00:04:56.69 but they are not to be worshiped. 00:04:56.73\00:04:59.19 In Revelation 19.10 00:04:59.23\00:05:00.86 when the Apostle John 00:05:00.90\00:05:02.86 fell at the feet of an angel to worship him, 00:05:02.90\00:05:05.90 do you know what the angel said to him? 00:05:05.93\00:05:07.87 "See that you do not do that, I'm your fellow servant, 00:05:07.90\00:05:11.94 worship God." 00:05:11.97\00:05:13.78 So angels are not be worshiped. 00:05:13.81\00:05:18.28 The Hebrew word "malak," 00:05:18.31\00:05:21.72 the same word that is translated 00:05:21.75\00:05:24.02 messenger or angel, 00:05:24.05\00:05:25.79 is used to describe ordinary messengers, 00:05:25.82\00:05:29.52 human messengers. 00:05:29.56\00:05:30.96 Let me give you a couple of examples, 00:05:30.99\00:05:33.29 in 1 Samuel 11.3, 00:05:33.33\00:05:35.50 1 Samuel 11.3, 00:05:35.53\00:05:37.57 the elders of Jabesh came to Samuel 00:05:37.60\00:05:40.30 and they said, "Hold off for seven days, 00:05:40.34\00:05:42.94 that we may send messengers." 00:05:42.97\00:05:45.01 Malak, 00:05:45.04\00:05:46.37 it could have been translated angels. 00:05:46.41\00:05:48.08 "To all the territory of Israel. 00:05:48.11\00:05:50.35 And then, if there is no one to save us, 00:05:50.38\00:05:53.31 we will come out to you." 00:05:53.35\00:05:54.82 And then in Luke 9:52, when Jesus... 00:05:54.85\00:05:57.85 It came time for Jesus to be received up to heaven, 00:05:57.89\00:06:01.52 he said his face determinedly to go to Jerusalem. 00:06:01.56\00:06:06.33 And Luke 9:52 said, "He sent messengers." 00:06:06.36\00:06:11.13 In the Greek, angelos, 00:06:11.17\00:06:13.57 but these were human messengers, 00:06:13.60\00:06:15.70 so they didn't get translated into English as angels. 00:06:15.74\00:06:20.84 "He sent messengers before His face. 00:06:20.88\00:06:22.91 And as they went, 00:06:22.94\00:06:24.28 they entered a village of the Samaritans, 00:06:24.31\00:06:26.35 to prepare for Him." 00:06:26.38\00:06:28.62 Malak, same word translated as angel 00:06:28.65\00:06:32.35 is used to describe prophets. 00:06:32.39\00:06:34.59 Listen to this, Haggai 1:13, 00:06:34.62\00:06:37.06 "Then Haggai, the Lord's messenger. 00:06:37.09\00:06:40.23 His malak spoke 00:06:40.26\00:06:42.46 the Lord's message to the people. 00:06:42.50\00:06:45.50 And in Luke 7:27, 00:06:45.53\00:06:47.80 Jesus was speaking of John the Baptist 00:06:47.84\00:06:50.97 and it repeats and says, 00:06:51.01\00:06:53.88 "Behold, I send My messenger." 00:06:53.91\00:06:57.25 In the Greek that's angelos, messenger. 00:06:57.28\00:07:00.08 It could have been translated 00:07:00.12\00:07:02.45 according to our English translated, 00:07:02.48\00:07:04.55 it could have said, "Behold, I send My angel." 00:07:04.59\00:07:07.16 But it was translated as messenger 00:07:07.19\00:07:11.13 who's going to go before you to prepare the way for you. 00:07:11.16\00:07:15.26 Malak is used to describe priests. 00:07:15.30\00:07:21.10 In Malachi 2.7, 00:07:21.14\00:07:23.04 it says, "The lips of a priest should keep knowledge, 00:07:23.07\00:07:26.68 for he is the messenger, the malak of the Lord." 00:07:26.71\00:07:32.51 So who is the Angel of the Lord, 00:07:32.55\00:07:38.89 the Angel of His presence, 00:07:38.92\00:07:41.29 the Angel of the covenant? 00:07:41.32\00:07:44.09 Old Testament, 00:07:44.13\00:07:45.53 when you see in the Old Testament 00:07:45.56\00:07:48.36 sometimes it will say, "An angel appeared," 00:07:48.40\00:07:51.13 that's an ordinary created winged being, 00:07:51.17\00:07:54.44 but when you see that the Scripture says, 00:07:54.47\00:07:58.37 "The Angel of the Lord." 00:07:58.41\00:08:01.58 This is without a doubt 00:08:01.61\00:08:04.51 a manifestation of God's divine presence, 00:08:04.55\00:08:10.15 and we're gonna prove that from Scripture 00:08:10.19\00:08:12.29 in just a moment. 00:08:12.32\00:08:14.46 God came as the angel, 00:08:14.49\00:08:17.59 the messenger of the Lord 00:08:17.63\00:08:20.63 and reveal to humans 00:08:20.66\00:08:24.07 who He was without exposing His full glory. 00:08:24.10\00:08:28.70 Every time that God took on a visible form 00:08:28.74\00:08:34.01 in the Old Testament, 00:08:34.04\00:08:35.64 this was foreshadowing 00:08:35.68\00:08:39.38 the incarnation of God 00:08:39.41\00:08:43.69 when God, the second person of the Godhead 00:08:43.72\00:08:46.82 came down and became a man 00:08:46.86\00:08:49.16 in the person of Jesus Christ 00:08:49.19\00:08:51.99 and lived among us as Immanuel, God with us. 00:08:52.03\00:08:57.03 But even when Christ came to earth, 00:08:57.07\00:09:00.54 His deity was not fully exposed, 00:09:00.57\00:09:05.21 His glory was veiled with flesh. 00:09:05.24\00:09:09.38 No one has seen the unveiled glory of God. 00:09:09.41\00:09:13.65 Paul says in 1 Timothy 6.16, 00:09:13.68\00:09:17.35 "God alone has immortality, 00:09:17.39\00:09:20.96 dwelling in unapproachable light, 00:09:20.99\00:09:24.79 whom no man has seen or can see." 00:09:24.83\00:09:30.67 So here's the question. 00:09:30.70\00:09:32.53 Have you ever heard the word Christophany? 00:09:32.57\00:09:35.80 That's a big word, Christophany. 00:09:35.84\00:09:38.77 It's C-H-R-I-S-T 00:09:38.81\00:09:41.24 Christ O-P-H-A-N-Y. 00:09:41.28\00:09:45.21 Bible scholars used that term 00:09:45.25\00:09:48.25 to describe 00:09:48.28\00:09:50.39 when the pre-incarnate appearances 00:09:50.42\00:09:54.16 of Jesus Christ. 00:09:54.19\00:09:55.69 In other words, 00:09:55.72\00:09:57.06 when the second person of the Godhead 00:09:57.09\00:09:59.79 came down in a visible manifestation 00:09:59.83\00:10:04.30 where people could see Him, touch Him, talk to Him, 00:10:04.33\00:10:08.77 these were actually appearances 00:10:08.80\00:10:12.71 in the Old Testament of Jesus Christ 00:10:12.74\00:10:15.54 before He was incarnated. 00:10:15.58\00:10:18.35 And we're gonna see in a moment, 00:10:18.38\00:10:20.65 when the Angel of the Lord showed up on this scene, 00:10:20.68\00:10:23.89 it was our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 00:10:23.92\00:10:27.82 The Angel of the Lord appeared regularly 00:10:27.86\00:10:31.49 in the Old Testament, 00:10:31.53\00:10:33.09 but after Jesus was incarnated and became a man, 00:10:33.13\00:10:38.17 there are no more appearances of the Angel of the Lord. 00:10:38.20\00:10:41.84 Jesus, God, 00:10:41.87\00:10:44.77 the second person of the Godhead, 00:10:44.81\00:10:46.71 get this in your mind, came to earth, took on flesh, 00:10:46.74\00:10:51.71 God became a man. 00:10:51.75\00:10:53.88 He became the Son of man 00:10:53.92\00:10:55.55 and the covenant Son of God 00:10:55.58\00:10:58.72 but never doubt 00:10:58.75\00:11:00.79 that Jesus Christ was eternal God. 00:11:00.82\00:11:04.23 We can see that in scripture John 1:1-3 says, 00:11:04.26\00:11:07.23 "In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, 00:11:07.26\00:11:09.73 and the Word was God. 00:11:09.76\00:11:12.27 He was in the beginning with God. 00:11:12.30\00:11:15.20 And all things were made through Him, 00:11:15.24\00:11:17.64 nothing was made except through Him." 00:11:17.67\00:11:20.18 And then in John 1.14, he says, 00:11:20.21\00:11:22.14 "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us." 00:11:22.18\00:11:25.98 Paul writing of Jesus said in Philippians 2:6-7, 00:11:26.01\00:11:30.99 "That though he was in the form of God, 00:11:31.02\00:11:33.22 He did not count equality with God, 00:11:33.25\00:11:37.16 something to be grasped." 00:11:37.19\00:11:38.56 That means something to hold on to. 00:11:38.59\00:11:40.73 "But He emptied Himself by taking the form of a servant 00:11:40.76\00:11:44.57 being born in the likeness of man." 00:11:44.60\00:11:48.37 God became a man. 00:11:48.40\00:11:51.31 Micah 5:2 speaking 00:11:51.34\00:11:54.48 of Jesus' birthplace in Bethlehem, 00:11:54.51\00:11:56.98 says, "Out of you shall come forth to Me 00:11:57.01\00:11:59.71 the One to be Ruler in Israel, 00:11:59.75\00:12:03.08 whose goings forth are from of old, 00:12:03.12\00:12:06.19 from everlasting." 00:12:06.22\00:12:07.62 From eternity past Jesus existed. 00:12:07.66\00:12:11.36 And in John 10:30, He says, "I and the Father are one." 00:12:11.39\00:12:15.50 And in John 14 and He told Philip, 00:12:15.53\00:12:17.60 "If you've seen Me, you've seen the Father." 00:12:17.63\00:12:21.40 Now here's one that I just have to include. 00:12:21.44\00:12:24.87 Colossians 1:15, speaking of Jesus, it says, 00:12:24.91\00:12:28.81 "He is the image of the invisible God, 00:12:28.84\00:12:32.18 the firstborn over all creation." 00:12:32.21\00:12:35.62 Oh, some people say, "Uh-huh, see He was born." 00:12:35.65\00:12:39.32 No, no, no, no, 00:12:39.35\00:12:40.69 firstborn does not mean that Jesus was born, 00:12:40.72\00:12:44.26 just as the original language malak 00:12:44.29\00:12:48.33 can be translated and understood in two ways, 00:12:48.36\00:12:51.87 a messenger or angel. 00:12:51.90\00:12:54.24 The word firstborn and the word begotten 00:12:54.27\00:12:59.04 also have two meanings. 00:12:59.07\00:13:01.68 Firstborn can mean the order of birth, 00:13:01.71\00:13:05.58 but it's also a covenant term 00:13:05.61\00:13:09.28 that signifies preeminence, 00:13:09.32\00:13:11.72 superiority, being above all others 00:13:11.75\00:13:15.42 and the word begotten, 00:13:15.46\00:13:17.09 it can mean 00:13:17.13\00:13:18.46 that you've been given birth to, 00:13:18.49\00:13:21.46 but in covenant language 00:13:21.50\00:13:23.87 it means chosen for a covenant purpose. 00:13:23.90\00:13:28.00 Let me prove that with one example. 00:13:28.04\00:13:30.21 The nation of Israel is called God's first born son 00:13:30.24\00:13:35.21 in Exodus 4:22-23 00:13:35.24\00:13:38.88 and was said to be begotten of God 00:13:38.91\00:13:42.85 in Deuteronomy 32:18. 00:13:42.88\00:13:46.29 So let's continue now. 00:13:46.32\00:13:48.06 Colossians 1:16 says, 00:13:48.09\00:13:50.73 "For by Him all things were created 00:13:50.76\00:13:53.80 that are in heaven and that are on earth, 00:13:53.83\00:13:55.46 visible and invisible." 00:13:55.50\00:13:58.03 The Lord, Jesus Christ, 00:13:58.07\00:14:01.24 the Angel of the Lord is no ordinary angel. 00:14:01.27\00:14:06.51 He is not a created being. 00:14:06.54\00:14:09.14 He is God Himself, 00:14:09.18\00:14:11.01 the divine messenger. 00:14:11.05\00:14:15.22 Now, we're gonna look at some Christophanies real quickly 00:14:15.25\00:14:18.75 and this is all gonna string together, 00:14:18.79\00:14:20.92 so that you will understand who is heaven's Archangel. 00:14:20.96\00:14:26.16 Many commentators believed in Genesis 18, 00:14:26.19\00:14:30.20 it is a pre-incarnate, 00:14:30.23\00:14:32.43 that means before Jesus came and took flesh, 00:14:32.47\00:14:35.44 it's a pre-incarnate appearance of Christ. 00:14:35.47\00:14:40.44 What happens, Genesis 18:1, 00:14:40.48\00:14:43.28 it says, "Then the Lord appeared to him," 00:14:43.31\00:14:46.01 speaking of Abraham, 00:14:46.05\00:14:47.38 "by the terebinth trees of Mamre, 00:14:47.42\00:14:49.48 as he was sitting in the tent door 00:14:49.52\00:14:51.22 in the heat of the day. 00:14:51.25\00:14:52.75 So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, 00:14:52.79\00:14:56.12 three men were standing by him." 00:14:56.16\00:14:58.66 And one turns out to be the Lord. 00:14:58.69\00:15:00.66 "And when he saw them, 00:15:00.70\00:15:02.03 he ran from the tent door to meet him, 00:15:02.06\00:15:03.93 and he bowed himself to the ground." 00:15:03.97\00:15:06.27 And then as he should have, 00:15:06.30\00:15:07.80 he gave some refreshments. 00:15:07.84\00:15:09.57 God had come down to tell Abraham, 00:15:09.60\00:15:12.34 Sarah's gonna have a son. 00:15:12.37\00:15:14.21 I told you that you were gonna be 00:15:14.24\00:15:16.64 the father of many nations. 00:15:16.68\00:15:18.31 Sarah is way too old to have a son, 00:15:18.35\00:15:21.85 but we see now that one of these men 00:15:21.88\00:15:24.99 when it says, "The Lord appear to him." 00:15:25.02\00:15:27.66 Genesis 18:13 says, 00:15:27.69\00:15:29.59 "The Lord said to Abraham." 00:15:29.62\00:15:32.26 Why did Sarah laugh, saying, 00:15:32.29\00:15:34.36 "Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?" 00:15:34.40\00:15:38.80 And then the Angel of the Lord, Jesus Christ says, 00:15:38.83\00:15:43.81 "Is anything too hard for the Lord? 00:15:43.84\00:15:48.31 At the appointed time I will return to you 00:15:48.34\00:15:51.38 and Sarah shall have a son." 00:15:51.41\00:15:54.82 Now Genesis 32 reveals another Christophany. 00:15:54.85\00:15:59.22 This is when Jacob wrestled with what appeared to be a man 00:15:59.25\00:16:04.09 but was actually God and they wrestled all night. 00:16:04.13\00:16:07.43 Genesis 32:26 says 00:16:07.46\00:16:09.63 that the man that Jacob is wrestling with says, 00:16:09.66\00:16:12.93 "Let Me go, for the day breaks." 00:16:12.97\00:16:15.20 But Jacob says, 00:16:15.24\00:16:16.57 "I will not let You go unless You bless me!" 00:16:16.60\00:16:20.04 And then the man 00:16:20.08\00:16:21.41 that Jacob is wrestling with asks, 00:16:21.44\00:16:24.51 "What's your name?" 00:16:24.55\00:16:25.88 Not that he didn't know, 00:16:25.91\00:16:27.55 the man knew what his name was, 00:16:27.58\00:16:30.65 but he wanted Jacob to say, "My name's Jacob." 00:16:30.69\00:16:33.15 which means deceiver and then he says, 00:16:33.19\00:16:36.42 the man says, 00:16:36.46\00:16:38.53 "Your name shall no longer be called 00:16:38.56\00:16:41.70 Jacob but Israel." 00:16:41.73\00:16:43.63 He gives him a new spiritual name. 00:16:43.67\00:16:46.13 He says, "Because you have struggled 00:16:46.17\00:16:49.17 with God and have prevailed." 00:16:49.20\00:16:52.11 He was wrestling all night with God. 00:16:52.14\00:16:54.84 And then in verse 29, it says, "He blessed Jacob there," 00:16:54.88\00:16:59.55 and Jacob recognizes this man was God 00:16:59.58\00:17:03.08 and he exclaims in verse 30, 00:17:03.12\00:17:05.62 "I have seen God face to face, 00:17:05.65\00:17:09.76 and my life is preserved." 00:17:09.79\00:17:12.39 You know, when Hosea recounts this story 00:17:12.43\00:17:15.26 in Hosea 12:4, 00:17:15.30\00:17:17.17 listen how he describes this man. 00:17:17.20\00:17:20.37 He says, 00:17:20.40\00:17:21.74 "Jacob struggled with the angel and prevailed." 00:17:21.77\00:17:26.78 It was the Angel of God, heaven's messenger 00:17:26.81\00:17:31.35 who struggled with Jacob. 00:17:31.38\00:17:33.35 Now in Exodus 3-4, 00:17:33.38\00:17:37.29 God appeared to Moses in a burning bush 00:17:37.32\00:17:41.26 and undoubtedly this reveals 00:17:41.29\00:17:44.03 that the Angel of the Lord is our Lord and Savior, 00:17:44.06\00:17:49.30 Jesus Christ, a Christophany. 00:17:49.33\00:17:52.50 Exodus 3:2 says this, 00:17:52.53\00:17:55.27 "And the Angel of the Lord appeared to Moses." 00:17:55.30\00:17:58.37 Now I wanna stop, 00:17:58.41\00:17:59.77 Young's Literal Translation says, 00:17:59.81\00:18:02.88 "The messenger of Jehovah appeared to Moses," 00:18:02.91\00:18:07.05 but anyway, 00:18:07.08\00:18:08.42 "The Angel of the Lord appeared to Moses 00:18:08.45\00:18:10.02 in a flame of fire from the midst of the bush." 00:18:10.05\00:18:12.62 So Moses beholds that the bush is burning 00:18:12.65\00:18:16.06 and that it is not consumed. 00:18:16.09\00:18:19.49 And then he says to himself, 00:18:19.53\00:18:21.36 "Hey, I'm gonna turn aside and see this great sight, 00:18:21.40\00:18:26.77 why the bush does not burn?" 00:18:26.80\00:18:29.94 And God called him from the midst of the bush, 00:18:29.97\00:18:33.88 this is verse 4, "God called to him" 00:18:33.91\00:18:37.95 who's in the midst of the bush? 00:18:37.98\00:18:39.65 The Angel of the Lord. 00:18:39.68\00:18:41.68 And now it says, it identifies him as God, 00:18:41.72\00:18:44.55 "God called to him from the midst of the bush." 00:18:44.59\00:18:47.42 So here the Angel of the Lord is identified 00:18:47.46\00:18:50.79 as God and he says, "Moses, Moses!" 00:18:50.83\00:18:53.09 And Moses says, "Here I am." 00:18:53.13\00:18:55.76 Then the Angel of the Lord said to him, 00:18:55.80\00:18:59.77 "Do not draw near this place. 00:18:59.80\00:19:01.77 Take your sandals off your feet, 00:19:01.80\00:19:03.81 for the place where you stand is holy ground." 00:19:03.84\00:19:08.54 Moreover he said, 00:19:08.58\00:19:10.98 this is the Angel of the Lord still speaking, 00:19:11.01\00:19:13.88 "I am the God of your father, 00:19:13.92\00:19:15.58 the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, 00:19:15.62\00:19:17.75 and the God of Jacob. 00:19:17.79\00:19:19.65 And Moses hid his face, 00:19:19.69\00:19:22.36 for he was afraid to look upon God." 00:19:22.39\00:19:26.46 Now further in Exodus, 00:19:26.49\00:19:28.53 we see in Exodus 13:21 00:19:28.56\00:19:32.87 that "The Lord went before the Hebrew children 00:19:32.90\00:19:36.20 in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them 00:19:36.24\00:19:40.14 and a pillar of fire by night to give them light." 00:19:40.18\00:19:45.88 Who was in this pillar of fire and the pillar of cloud? 00:19:45.91\00:19:50.49 Well Exodus 33:14, 00:19:50.52\00:19:53.42 God said, "My presence will go with you, 00:19:53.46\00:19:57.93 and I will give you rest." 00:19:57.96\00:20:00.16 So let's consider this, 00:20:00.20\00:20:03.77 the Angel of the Lord is also identified 00:20:03.80\00:20:07.84 as the Angel of His presence. 00:20:07.87\00:20:10.07 In Isaiah 63:8-9, 00:20:10.11\00:20:13.04 God said, "Surely they are My people" 00:20:13.07\00:20:16.21 and then it says, "So He became their Savior. 00:20:16.24\00:20:18.81 In all their affliction He was afflicted, 00:20:18.85\00:20:21.92 and the Angel of His presence saved them. 00:20:21.95\00:20:24.92 In His love and in His pity He redeemed them. 00:20:24.95\00:20:28.96 And He bore them and carried them 00:20:28.99\00:20:31.53 all the days of old." 00:20:31.56\00:20:33.53 Many commentators believed 00:20:33.56\00:20:36.36 that the Angel of His presence 00:20:36.40\00:20:37.97 was none other than the second person 00:20:38.00\00:20:40.60 of the Godhead, 00:20:40.64\00:20:42.07 who we know as the person of Jesus Christ. 00:20:42.10\00:20:45.34 He is so closely related to His people that, 00:20:45.37\00:20:48.58 their suffering was like His own suffering. 00:20:48.61\00:20:52.91 In all of their afflictions He was afflicted 00:20:52.95\00:20:56.22 and this covenant God, the Redeemer, the Savior, 00:20:56.25\00:21:00.99 the Messiah carried 00:21:01.02\00:21:03.86 and cared for His people. 00:21:03.89\00:21:07.10 Now in Malachi 3:1, 00:21:07.13\00:21:09.53 there is a prophecy of two messengers, 00:21:09.56\00:21:13.70 both words are malak, 00:21:13.74\00:21:15.54 could have said messenger or angel in English, 00:21:15.57\00:21:18.87 but here's what it says, Malachi 3:1, 00:21:18.91\00:21:21.74 Behold, I send My messenger, my malak, 00:21:21.78\00:21:24.88 and he will prepare the way for Me." 00:21:24.91\00:21:26.95 This is a prophecy about John the Baptist, 00:21:26.98\00:21:29.85 the voice that is crying in the wilderness. 00:21:29.88\00:21:32.79 Isaiah foretold it 00:21:32.82\00:21:34.32 and it is fulfilled in the gospels. 00:21:34.36\00:21:36.73 But then it continues on in Malachi 3:1 00:21:36.76\00:21:40.26 and it introduces a second messenger. 00:21:40.30\00:21:44.37 "And the Lord, whom you seek, 00:21:44.40\00:21:46.63 will suddenly come to His temple, 00:21:46.67\00:21:49.90 even the Messenger of the covenant." 00:21:49.94\00:21:54.04 Messenger, malak, 00:21:54.08\00:21:56.04 a word that's translated messenger or angel. 00:21:56.08\00:22:00.15 "Even the Messenger of the covenant, 00:22:00.18\00:22:02.98 in whom you delight. 00:22:03.02\00:22:04.59 Behold, He is coming," says the Lord of hosts.'" 00:22:04.62\00:22:08.49 So this second messenger 00:22:08.52\00:22:10.76 who is gonna come in to His temple 00:22:10.79\00:22:12.96 is a prophecy of the appearing of the Messiah Himself. 00:22:12.99\00:22:19.23 Now, if you're a Protestant pastor, 00:22:19.27\00:22:23.27 most likely in your library, 00:22:23.30\00:22:25.57 you have a copy of Matthew Henry's commentary. 00:22:25.61\00:22:30.65 I want to read his commentary 00:22:30.68\00:22:33.82 on Malachi 3:1 00:22:33.85\00:22:37.19 about the messenger 00:22:37.22\00:22:39.49 that is coming into His temple. 00:22:39.52\00:22:44.26 "He is the messenger of the covenant 00:22:44.29\00:22:46.49 or the angel of the covenant. 00:22:46.53\00:22:48.26 That blessed one 00:22:48.30\00:22:49.63 that was send from heaven to negotiate a peace 00:22:49.66\00:22:51.60 and settle a correspondence between God and man. 00:22:51.63\00:22:54.80 He is the Angel, the Archangel, 00:22:54.84\00:23:00.41 the Lord of the angels 00:23:00.44\00:23:02.71 who received commission from the Father 00:23:02.74\00:23:04.98 to bring man home to God by a covenant of grace." 00:23:05.01\00:23:10.99 You know it's interesting that Matthew Henry 00:23:11.02\00:23:14.16 here refers to Christ as the Archangel. 00:23:14.19\00:23:19.63 We've already established that Jesus is the God. 00:23:19.66\00:23:23.73 He is our creator, the creator of all things. 00:23:23.77\00:23:27.70 He certainly not a created being. 00:23:27.74\00:23:31.11 We've established that in Greek and Hebrew that angel, 00:23:31.14\00:23:36.04 that messenger describes not the nature of a being 00:23:36.08\00:23:39.55 but the office of the being 00:23:39.58\00:23:41.22 and it can refer to ordinary messengers, 00:23:41.25\00:23:43.49 priests, prophets, 00:23:43.52\00:23:45.15 even our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 00:23:45.19\00:23:50.23 But what does "Arch" mean? 00:23:50.26\00:23:52.83 In the original language Arch means chief, 00:23:52.86\00:23:57.93 principal, greatest, highest. 00:23:57.97\00:24:01.27 So archangel in the original language 00:24:01.30\00:24:05.17 is the highest 00:24:05.21\00:24:07.44 or greatest messenger 00:24:07.48\00:24:11.21 that's why Matthew Henry said, "He is the Archangel." 00:24:11.25\00:24:14.98 So let's look at our third question. 00:24:15.02\00:24:17.65 Who is the only Archangel mentioned in the Bible? 00:24:17.69\00:24:23.02 This is gonna surprise you. 00:24:23.06\00:24:25.36 First let's see who is not. 00:24:25.39\00:24:28.13 Canonical scriptures that's the authorized books 00:24:28.16\00:24:31.63 of the Bible that have... 00:24:31.67\00:24:33.87 are accepted to be genuine. 00:24:33.90\00:24:37.71 In Canonical scripture 00:24:37.74\00:24:39.64 there's only three named messengers 00:24:39.67\00:24:43.01 in the Bible 00:24:43.04\00:24:44.38 who are referred to as angels. 00:24:44.41\00:24:46.92 One is Gabriel, 00:24:46.95\00:24:48.68 he's mentioned by name twice in Daniel 00:24:48.72\00:24:51.69 and twice in Luke. 00:24:51.72\00:24:53.29 In Luke 1:19, Gabriel says, 00:24:53.32\00:24:55.46 "I am Gabriel, 00:24:55.49\00:24:57.03 who stands in the presence of God." 00:24:57.06\00:24:59.96 Gabriel was a covering cherub 00:25:00.00\00:25:04.27 at the throne of God, 00:25:04.30\00:25:05.97 a created being. 00:25:06.00\00:25:07.34 Remember when the temple was made, 00:25:07.37\00:25:10.11 it was made according to the pattern 00:25:10.14\00:25:11.87 of the heavenly sanctuary 00:25:11.91\00:25:13.91 and the ark in the Most Holy Place 00:25:13.94\00:25:17.45 was the throne of God and above the ark, 00:25:17.48\00:25:20.98 the mercy seat is on the ark and there's two cherubim, 00:25:21.02\00:25:24.62 two cherubs, plural always is cherubim, 00:25:24.65\00:25:28.16 who have their wing spread over the mercy seat. 00:25:28.19\00:25:31.63 Well, that's what Gabriel's office 00:25:31.66\00:25:33.90 is in heaven. 00:25:33.93\00:25:35.46 And the second named created angel is Lucifer, 00:25:35.50\00:25:41.50 also known as Satan or the Devil, the fallen angel. 00:25:41.54\00:25:47.11 And guess what? 00:25:47.14\00:25:48.68 Did you know that God tells us 00:25:48.71\00:25:51.21 what Lucifer's position was in heaven 00:25:51.25\00:25:54.88 before he rebelled? 00:25:54.92\00:25:56.58 In Ezekiel 28:14, 00:25:56.62\00:25:58.75 he says, "You were the anointed 00:25:58.79\00:26:02.42 cherub who covers." 00:26:02.46\00:26:05.29 He says, "I established you." 00:26:05.33\00:26:08.60 So Lucifer was at one time 00:26:08.63\00:26:10.97 on one side of the throne, 00:26:11.00\00:26:12.60 Gabriel was on the other 00:26:12.63\00:26:14.30 and evidently being a covering cherub 00:26:14.34\00:26:18.11 is the highest position of authority 00:26:18.14\00:26:22.44 that an angel can attain. 00:26:22.48\00:26:27.08 Gabriel and Lucifer are two of the only three 00:26:27.12\00:26:32.95 named angels in the Bible. 00:26:32.99\00:26:36.89 The third is the Archangel. 00:26:36.93\00:26:39.29 So who is heaven's Archangel? 00:26:39.33\00:26:42.86 You recalled, 00:26:42.90\00:26:44.27 Archangel means highest or greatest messenger. 00:26:44.30\00:26:49.74 In Hebrews 2:10, 00:26:49.77\00:26:53.64 Christ is called the Captain of our salvation, 00:26:53.68\00:26:58.25 He's our Creator, the Author, the source of our salvation. 00:26:58.28\00:27:01.38 He's the head of the Church, the Commander-in-Chief. 00:27:01.42\00:27:04.65 He leads the army of... 00:27:04.69\00:27:07.99 God's army of His covenant people 00:27:08.02\00:27:10.73 on earth. 00:27:10.76\00:27:12.09 Christ, the angel messenger 00:27:12.13\00:27:14.63 who manifested Himself to Abraham, 00:27:14.66\00:27:17.93 to Moses in the burning bush, 00:27:17.97\00:27:20.04 who came as the Angel of the Lord 00:27:20.07\00:27:22.87 is also called the Captain 00:27:22.90\00:27:26.78 or Commander of the Lord's host, 00:27:26.81\00:27:30.91 the heavenly army of created angels. 00:27:30.95\00:27:34.12 Let's look at Joshua 5:13, 00:27:34.15\00:27:39.35 Joshua 5:13. 00:27:39.39\00:27:41.42 Joshua is by Jericho 00:27:41.46\00:27:44.33 and he looks before this great battle, 00:27:44.36\00:27:47.63 he looks up and he sees a man. 00:27:47.66\00:27:51.83 And in verse 13, it says, 00:27:51.87\00:27:53.74 "Behold, a Man stood opposite him 00:27:53.77\00:27:56.57 with His sword drawn in His hand. 00:27:56.60\00:27:58.64 And Joshua said to Him, 00:27:58.67\00:28:01.21 'Are You for us or for our adversaries?' 00:28:01.24\00:28:05.65 So then this man said, 'No.'" 00:28:05.68\00:28:10.29 But as Commander, 00:28:10.32\00:28:12.35 Captain of the army of the Lord, 00:28:12.39\00:28:14.59 Commander of the army of the Lord, 00:28:14.62\00:28:17.06 "I have now come." 00:28:17.09\00:28:19.43 And Joshua fell on his face 00:28:19.46\00:28:21.86 to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, 00:28:21.90\00:28:25.33 "What does my Lord say to His servant?" 00:28:25.37\00:28:28.27 And then in verse 15, it says, 00:28:28.30\00:28:31.11 "Then the Commander of the Lord's army 00:28:31.14\00:28:34.14 said to Joshua, 00:28:34.18\00:28:35.81 'Take your sandal off your foot, 00:28:35.84\00:28:38.68 for the place where you stand is holy.'" 00:28:38.71\00:28:41.92 And Joshua did so. 00:28:41.95\00:28:44.05 Who is this Commander of the Lord's army? 00:28:44.09\00:28:48.32 Well, I believe it was the Angel of the Lord. 00:28:48.36\00:28:51.89 I believe 00:28:51.93\00:28:53.26 this is a pre-incarnate appearance 00:28:53.29\00:28:56.13 of Jesus Christ 00:28:56.16\00:28:57.50 and many noted Protestant commentators 00:28:57.53\00:29:01.50 agree with this, 00:29:01.54\00:29:03.17 including McArthur and Matthew Henry, 00:29:03.20\00:29:06.04 that this was a Christophany and Joshua... 00:29:06.07\00:29:10.35 And here's why Joshua knew this man was God, 00:29:10.38\00:29:14.02 he worshiped the Commander of the Lord's army, 00:29:14.05\00:29:17.35 this divine being accepted worship. 00:29:17.39\00:29:20.89 He did not stop Joshua from worshiping Him. 00:29:20.92\00:29:24.13 He encouraged it and created angels 00:29:24.16\00:29:28.10 are not allowed to receive worship. 00:29:28.13\00:29:31.73 Remember Revelation 19:10, 00:29:31.77\00:29:34.90 when John Paul is at the feet of the angel 00:29:34.94\00:29:38.07 and the angel says to him, 00:29:38.11\00:29:39.91 "Stop, don't do that. 00:29:39.94\00:29:42.44 I'm your fellow servant, worship God." 00:29:42.48\00:29:46.85 The Commander-in-chief of the created angels, 00:29:46.88\00:29:50.72 Jesus Christ means 00:29:50.75\00:29:54.32 He is the Archangel. 00:29:54.36\00:29:56.83 He is above all whom He created. 00:29:56.86\00:30:00.23 He is not a created being, He is Lord over all. 00:30:00.26\00:30:04.80 Now we've already established 00:30:04.83\00:30:06.30 that Bible scholars see the Angel of the Lord, 00:30:06.33\00:30:09.10 the Angel of God 00:30:09.14\00:30:10.47 as pre-incarnate experiences of Christ. 00:30:10.51\00:30:13.74 This special messenger, 00:30:13.78\00:30:15.98 the Angel of the Lord 00:30:16.01\00:30:17.35 appeared to Hagar, Abraham, Jacob, Baalam, 00:30:17.38\00:30:19.75 Gideon, Manoah, Zechariah, 00:30:19.78\00:30:21.98 and let Israel through the wilderness 00:30:22.02\00:30:24.39 in a pillar of cloud and a pillar of fire. 00:30:24.42\00:30:29.02 Here's what's important for you to understand. 00:30:29.06\00:30:32.93 If you look up 00:30:32.96\00:30:34.93 any of these passages in context 00:30:34.96\00:30:40.04 when the Angel of the Lord was speaking, 00:30:40.07\00:30:43.81 it was always Yahweh who was speaking. 00:30:43.84\00:30:47.78 Jehovah, the covenant God 00:30:47.81\00:30:51.38 who was speaking. 00:30:51.41\00:30:54.95 Okay. 00:30:54.98\00:30:56.72 Now, I'm gonna tell you something 00:30:56.75\00:30:58.99 that might surprise you. 00:30:59.02\00:31:01.46 We hear so much about archangels. 00:31:01.49\00:31:04.03 Did you know that the term Archangel 00:31:04.06\00:31:07.76 is only used twice in the Bible, only twice? 00:31:07.80\00:31:12.93 Please don't pay attention 00:31:12.97\00:31:14.74 to all the falsehoods that you see on the internet. 00:31:14.77\00:31:17.74 I got on the internet and look it's amazing 00:31:17.77\00:31:20.01 what some people teach and believe 00:31:20.04\00:31:22.24 about the angels and the archangels. 00:31:22.28\00:31:24.98 It is only mentioned twice in the Bible 00:31:25.01\00:31:29.35 and we're going to look at these only two times 00:31:29.38\00:31:32.92 that mentions the Archangel. 00:31:32.95\00:31:35.46 The first is 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 00:31:35.49\00:31:39.89 it says, 00:31:39.93\00:31:41.26 "The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, 00:31:41.30\00:31:44.20 with the voice of an archangel" 00:31:44.23\00:31:46.43 and by the way 00:31:46.47\00:31:47.80 Young's Literal Translation says, 00:31:47.84\00:31:50.27 "He's gonna descend with in a shout, 00:31:50.31\00:31:53.88 in the voice of a chief-messenger, 00:31:53.91\00:31:57.55 and with the trumpet of God and the dead in Christ 00:31:57.58\00:32:00.78 will rise first at His return." 00:32:00.82\00:32:04.25 Jesus Christ, the Commander of the Lord's army 00:32:04.29\00:32:08.82 will shout with the voice of the chief-messenger, 00:32:08.86\00:32:12.29 the voice of the mighty conquering king 00:32:12.33\00:32:15.66 and the dead in Christ will rise first. 00:32:15.70\00:32:19.47 Jesus said in John 5:28-29, 00:32:19.50\00:32:23.07 "Do not marvel at this, 00:32:23.10\00:32:24.61 for the hour is coming 00:32:24.64\00:32:26.04 in which all who are in the graves 00:32:26.07\00:32:28.01 will hear My voice and come forth 00:32:28.04\00:32:30.95 those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, 00:32:30.98\00:32:35.22 and those who have done evil, 00:32:35.25\00:32:37.59 to the resurrection of condemnation." 00:32:37.62\00:32:41.82 Now, that's the first of two references 00:32:41.86\00:32:47.40 to the Archangel. 00:32:47.43\00:32:49.10 Let's look at the second one. 00:32:49.13\00:32:51.20 And I'm just gonna have to tell you upfront, 00:32:51.23\00:32:53.67 this one muddies the water for many. 00:32:53.70\00:32:58.37 Jude 1:9, 00:32:58.41\00:33:00.81 there's only one chapter in Jude 00:33:00.84\00:33:02.41 so I could say just Jude 9, 00:33:02.44\00:33:05.18 it says, "Yet Michael the Archangel, 00:33:05.21\00:33:10.39 in contending with the devil, 00:33:10.42\00:33:11.75 when he disputed about the body of Moses, 00:33:11.79\00:33:14.36 dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, 00:33:14.39\00:33:19.76 but said, 'The Lord rebuke you!'" 00:33:19.79\00:33:24.33 We've learned the voice of the Archangel, 00:33:24.37\00:33:28.24 the victorious shout 00:33:28.27\00:33:30.04 of the Commander of the Lord's army, 00:33:30.07\00:33:32.17 the chief and greatest messenger 00:33:32.21\00:33:35.14 when he return sets the voice of Jesus Christ 00:33:35.18\00:33:38.78 but now if that's the Archangel, hmm, 00:33:38.81\00:33:43.72 the Archangel is given a name, Michael, 00:33:43.75\00:33:46.82 which means who is like God. 00:33:46.86\00:33:50.16 It's both a question and a challenge. 00:33:50.19\00:33:53.90 Is it possible this name Michael 00:33:53.93\00:33:58.27 is just another title 00:33:58.30\00:34:00.70 for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, 00:34:00.74\00:34:02.97 like the Word of God, 00:34:03.00\00:34:04.37 the Lamb of God, the Bread of Life, 00:34:04.41\00:34:06.64 the Door of the Sheep, The True Vine? 00:34:06.68\00:34:10.41 Some think 00:34:10.45\00:34:12.21 because the Archangel Michael says, 00:34:12.25\00:34:16.05 "The Lord rebuke you" that it cannot be Jesus. 00:34:16.08\00:34:19.75 Well, if we study Zechariah 3, 00:34:19.79\00:34:23.39 we clearly see the Angel of the Lord, 00:34:23.43\00:34:26.93 the pre-incarnate Jesus Christ 00:34:26.96\00:34:31.83 use these exact words 00:34:31.87\00:34:35.90 when He was disputing with Satan about Joshua. 00:34:35.94\00:34:40.18 Let's look at it. 00:34:40.21\00:34:41.71 Zechariah 3:1-2, 00:34:41.74\00:34:44.31 "Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing 00:34:44.35\00:34:47.45 before the Angel of the Lord." 00:34:47.48\00:34:50.15 Who's that? 00:34:50.19\00:34:51.52 That's the pre-incarnate Christ. 00:34:51.55\00:34:53.32 "And Satan standing at his right hand 00:34:53.36\00:34:55.72 to oppose him." 00:34:55.76\00:34:57.89 Now listen what the Angel of the Lord says. 00:34:57.93\00:35:00.50 "The Lord said to Satan, 00:35:00.53\00:35:02.76 'The Lord rebuke you, Satan!'" 00:35:02.80\00:35:06.80 Christ uses the exact same words 00:35:06.84\00:35:10.64 as the Michael, 00:35:10.67\00:35:12.51 the Archangel said in Jude 9. 00:35:12.54\00:35:15.98 Hmm. 00:35:16.01\00:35:17.55 We need more study on this mysterious Michael. 00:35:17.58\00:35:22.28 There are five references in the Bible 00:35:22.32\00:35:27.32 to a heavenly being named Michael. 00:35:27.36\00:35:30.16 Two are in The New Testament 00:35:30.19\00:35:31.96 and three are in the Book of Daniel. 00:35:31.99\00:35:35.26 We just read the first reference to Michael 00:35:35.30\00:35:38.50 referring to him as the Archangel in Jude 9. 00:35:38.53\00:35:43.81 Now, let's look at Michael, 00:35:43.84\00:35:47.98 the second reference in the New Testament. 00:35:48.01\00:35:52.38 Revelation 12:7 says, "And war broke out in heaven: 00:35:52.41\00:35:56.72 Michael and his angels fought with the dragon 00:35:56.75\00:36:00.99 and the dragon and his angels fought." 00:36:01.02\00:36:03.29 Let me do a sidebar here. 00:36:03.32\00:36:05.06 This, what we're seeing here 00:36:05.09\00:36:06.83 is the origin of the great controversy 00:36:06.86\00:36:09.86 between Jesus Christ and Satan, Lucifer. 00:36:09.90\00:36:14.04 He was a... 00:36:14.07\00:36:15.40 Lucifer was a created being 00:36:15.44\00:36:17.87 who was the covering cherub at the God's throne 00:36:17.91\00:36:22.64 and you know what happened? 00:36:22.68\00:36:24.15 Ah, poor Lucifer, 00:36:24.18\00:36:26.58 he got filled with pride 00:36:26.61\00:36:29.15 and he wanted to be worshiped like the Lord, 00:36:29.18\00:36:33.96 he envied that worship. 00:36:33.99\00:36:35.92 In Daniel 14:13-14, 00:36:35.96\00:36:38.93 referring to Lucifer, he says, 00:36:38.96\00:36:41.23 "I will ascend into heaven, 00:36:41.26\00:36:43.40 I will exalt my throne above the star of God. 00:36:43.43\00:36:47.47 I will be like the Most High." 00:36:47.50\00:36:50.21 And in Daniel 8:11, it says, 00:36:50.24\00:36:52.41 "He even exalted himself 00:36:52.44\00:36:54.11 as high as the Prince of the host." 00:36:54.14\00:36:59.11 You know what that word Prince means? 00:36:59.15\00:37:00.72 The Commander, the Chief of the Host, 00:37:00.75\00:37:03.99 who have we seen as the chief of the Lord's army, 00:37:04.02\00:37:07.92 the Commander of the angels? 00:37:07.96\00:37:10.39 And in Daniel 8:25, says of Satan, 00:37:10.43\00:37:15.83 "He shall exalt himself in his heart. 00:37:15.86\00:37:18.67 He shall even rise 00:37:18.70\00:37:21.37 against the Prince of princes. 00:37:21.40\00:37:25.61 But he shall be broken without human means." 00:37:25.64\00:37:30.88 Prince is a Messianic title for Jesus Christ. 00:37:30.91\00:37:35.05 Isaiah 9:6 says, "He is Wonderful, Counselor, 00:37:35.08\00:37:39.75 Mighty God, Everlasting Father, 00:37:39.79\00:37:43.66 Prince of Peace." 00:37:43.69\00:37:46.76 Michael, the Chief Messenger 00:37:46.80\00:37:49.96 and Commander-in-Chief over the created angels 00:37:50.00\00:37:53.60 battled with Satan and prevail. 00:37:53.64\00:37:55.34 Let's read a little more through there, 00:37:55.37\00:37:57.84 Revelation 12:7-9, "War broke out in heaven: 00:37:57.87\00:38:01.58 Michael and his angels 00:38:01.61\00:38:02.94 fought with the dragon and the dragon 00:38:02.98\00:38:04.61 and his angels fought, 00:38:04.65\00:38:06.11 but they did not prevail, 00:38:06.15\00:38:07.85 nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 00:38:07.88\00:38:11.59 So the great dragon was cast down, 00:38:11.62\00:38:14.59 that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, 00:38:14.62\00:38:18.59 who deceives the whole world. 00:38:18.63\00:38:20.80 He was cast to the earth, 00:38:20.83\00:38:23.03 and his angels were cast out with him." 00:38:23.06\00:38:28.80 Angels in heaven were called Michael's angels. 00:38:28.84\00:38:34.14 Michael as their Commander, 00:38:34.18\00:38:37.45 as the Archangel leads his angels 00:38:37.48\00:38:41.78 in battle against the Devil. 00:38:41.82\00:38:45.09 You will recall Joshua 5, 00:38:45.12\00:38:48.39 when Joshua saw the heavenly man who said, 00:38:48.42\00:38:51.73 "I'm the Commander of the Lord's army," 00:38:51.76\00:38:54.13 and then Joshua worshiped that being 00:38:54.16\00:38:57.67 and the being accepted worship. 00:38:57.70\00:39:02.70 We know this was our Lord Jesus Christ. 00:39:02.74\00:39:05.97 So it's interesting 00:39:06.01\00:39:09.74 the name Michael 00:39:09.78\00:39:12.25 only appears in the Bible five times, 00:39:12.28\00:39:16.89 but it's always in a apocalyptic sense 00:39:16.92\00:39:22.69 when the Angel of the Lord 00:39:22.72\00:39:26.23 or when Michael is in direct conflict 00:39:26.26\00:39:31.10 with Satan. 00:39:31.13\00:39:32.47 So that's the two New Testament references to Michael. 00:39:32.50\00:39:37.21 Now, let's look at the three remaining 00:39:37.24\00:39:39.97 that are in Daniel 00:39:40.01\00:39:41.48 where Michael is referred to as The Great Prince, 00:39:41.51\00:39:45.15 a Messianic title. 00:39:45.18\00:39:46.75 Daniel 10:5-6, 00:39:46.78\00:39:49.38 Daniel sees a vision of Christ, 00:39:49.42\00:39:51.79 and a certain man he sees, it says in verse 5. 00:39:51.82\00:39:57.26 Daniel 10:5, 00:39:57.29\00:39:58.79 he sees, "A certain man clothed in linen, 00:39:58.83\00:40:02.00 whose waist was girded with gold. 00:40:02.03\00:40:05.03 His body was like beryl, 00:40:05.07\00:40:07.40 his face like the appearance of lightning, 00:40:07.44\00:40:11.27 his eyes like torches of fire, 00:40:11.31\00:40:14.91 his arms and his feet like burnished bronze in color, 00:40:14.94\00:40:20.85 and the sound of his words 00:40:20.88\00:40:24.79 like the voice of a multitude." 00:40:24.82\00:40:27.99 Who is this that Daniel is seeing? 00:40:28.02\00:40:32.13 This so closely resembles 00:40:32.16\00:40:35.50 John's description of Jesus Christ 00:40:35.53\00:40:38.93 in Revelation 1:13. 00:40:38.97\00:40:43.64 So what happens? 00:40:43.67\00:40:45.04 Daniel has this vision, he passes out. 00:40:45.07\00:40:47.71 Boy, he gets the vapors. 00:40:47.74\00:40:49.48 It's like, "Oh, Oy veh!" He passes out, 00:40:49.51\00:40:53.62 then an angel comes and taps him on the shoulder 00:40:53.65\00:40:56.75 and this is most likely the Angel Gabriel 00:40:56.79\00:40:59.02 because Gabriel had been communicating 00:40:59.05\00:41:02.09 with him, 00:41:02.12\00:41:03.46 identified as Gabriel, the angel in Chapters 8 and 9. 00:41:03.49\00:41:07.80 But he tells Daniel, 00:41:07.83\00:41:10.50 he says, 00:41:10.53\00:41:11.87 "As soon as you prayed, we heard, 00:41:11.90\00:41:13.74 God sent me to answer your prayer." 00:41:13.77\00:41:16.04 But, boy, there's been a 21 day battle 00:41:16.07\00:41:18.97 in the heavenlies. 00:41:19.01\00:41:20.74 He was battling with the Prince of power, 00:41:20.78\00:41:24.41 the powers of the heir, 00:41:24.45\00:41:26.28 God's angels were, 00:41:26.31\00:41:28.45 and Gabriel had let this down and he said, 00:41:28.48\00:41:31.99 "We've come to answer your prayer." 00:41:32.02\00:41:34.72 In Daniel 10:13, 00:41:34.76\00:41:37.69 the angel tells Daniel 00:41:37.73\00:41:39.89 that, "Michael, one of the chief princes, 00:41:39.93\00:41:42.80 came to help me." 00:41:42.83\00:41:44.27 Now people will say, "One"? 00:41:44.30\00:41:46.97 Well first of all the word there is echad 00:41:47.00\00:41:51.21 which is a uniplural word, 00:41:51.24\00:41:54.14 this is, that word one is applied. 00:41:54.18\00:41:58.75 It means to have several parts 00:41:58.78\00:42:01.75 that are unified as one and it is applied to God 00:42:01.78\00:42:05.22 in Deuteronomy 6:4 00:42:05.25\00:42:06.92 when He says, "Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one." 00:42:06.96\00:42:10.99 But listen how Young's Literal Translation 00:42:11.03\00:42:16.13 says this, the angel tells Daniel that, 00:42:16.16\00:42:19.20 "Michael the first of the chief heads 00:42:19.23\00:42:23.81 came to help me." 00:42:23.84\00:42:25.17 Sometimes I wonder 00:42:25.21\00:42:26.54 if we lose things in translation, 00:42:26.57\00:42:29.68 little nuances that help us understand better. 00:42:29.71\00:42:33.52 Daniel 10:21, the angel Gabriel tells Daniel, 00:42:33.55\00:42:37.95 "No one upholds me against these" 00:42:37.99\00:42:41.76 against these powers of principalities 00:42:41.79\00:42:43.83 that I'm fighting with 00:42:43.86\00:42:45.63 "except Michael your prince." 00:42:45.66\00:42:50.37 Michael is the one 00:42:50.40\00:42:52.47 who came to help Gabriel and the angels, 00:42:52.50\00:42:55.07 Michael is the Commander-in-Chief 00:42:55.10\00:42:57.97 of the angels. 00:42:58.01\00:42:59.34 He is the champion of the cosmic conflict 00:42:59.37\00:43:02.64 against good and evil. 00:43:02.68\00:43:04.68 Oh, please listen to this, I found this fascinating. 00:43:04.71\00:43:08.38 Have you ever heard of The Talmud? 00:43:08.42\00:43:10.49 The Talmud is a large collection 00:43:10.52\00:43:13.29 of Jewish writings 00:43:13.32\00:43:15.12 and it identifies Michael 00:43:15.16\00:43:19.96 with the angel of Jehovah. 00:43:20.00\00:43:24.13 The Talmud says, 00:43:24.17\00:43:25.83 "Michael is the Angel of Jehovah" 00:43:25.87\00:43:29.27 Now, of course, they don't believe 00:43:29.30\00:43:30.81 in Jesus Christ 00:43:30.84\00:43:32.17 but who have we seen in The Old Testament? 00:43:32.21\00:43:35.48 Who is the Angel of God? 00:43:35.51\00:43:37.21 The Angel of the Lord is Jesus Christ, 00:43:37.25\00:43:40.02 but the Talmud describes Michael 00:43:40.05\00:43:42.92 as the true representative of God 00:43:42.95\00:43:45.22 who vindicated Israel against Satan's accusations. 00:43:45.25\00:43:49.66 So now, let's look at the last reference 00:43:49.69\00:43:52.89 to Michael. 00:43:52.93\00:43:54.26 Boy, I think this one is really revealing. 00:43:54.30\00:43:56.90 Daniel 12:1-2, 00:43:56.93\00:44:00.34 Daniel is speaking of the end times 00:44:00.37\00:44:03.67 or the angel is speaking of the end of the world. 00:44:03.71\00:44:06.64 And here's what he says, 00:44:06.68\00:44:08.41 Daniel 12:1, 00:44:08.44\00:44:10.18 "At that time," 00:44:10.21\00:44:12.01 when the end of the world comes, 00:44:12.05\00:44:14.02 "Michael shall stand up, that great Prince who stands 00:44:14.05\00:44:18.75 watch over the sons of your people. 00:44:18.79\00:44:20.96 And there shall be a time of trouble, 00:44:20.99\00:44:23.39 such as never was. 00:44:23.43\00:44:25.53 And at that time, when Michael stands up, 00:44:25.56\00:44:29.90 your people shall be delivered, 00:44:29.93\00:44:32.23 everyone who is found written in the book. 00:44:32.27\00:44:38.47 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth 00:44:38.51\00:44:43.48 shall awake, some to everlasting life, 00:44:43.51\00:44:48.88 some to shame and everlasting contempt." 00:44:48.92\00:44:54.79 Doesn't this remind you 00:44:54.82\00:44:57.96 of what Jesus said? 00:44:57.99\00:45:00.70 Let me repeat, in John 5:28, 00:45:00.73\00:45:04.70 he says "The hour is coming 00:45:04.73\00:45:07.10 when all who are in their graves 00:45:07.14\00:45:10.71 will hear My voice 00:45:10.74\00:45:13.58 and they will come forth, 00:45:13.61\00:45:17.15 those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, 00:45:17.18\00:45:21.38 and those who have done evil, 00:45:21.42\00:45:23.92 to the resurrection of condemnation." 00:45:23.95\00:45:26.96 Now we don't have time to study this, 00:45:26.99\00:45:29.46 but I pray that you'll take some time. 00:45:29.49\00:45:33.09 If you have Strong's Concordance, 00:45:33.13\00:45:35.40 look in Revelation, there's four times 00:45:35.43\00:45:39.30 that it talks about the second death 00:45:39.33\00:45:44.61 and the second resurrection. 00:45:44.64\00:45:48.28 So there's gonna be two resurrections. 00:45:48.31\00:45:51.28 Jesus is gonna stand up 00:45:51.31\00:45:53.95 and He's going to say those who are righteous, 00:45:53.98\00:45:57.49 let them be righteous still, 00:45:57.52\00:45:58.95 those who are wicked, let them be wicked still. 00:45:58.99\00:46:02.66 I'm on my way 00:46:02.69\00:46:04.29 and when He comes and descends with a shout, 00:46:04.33\00:46:07.93 with the voice of the Archangel of God, 00:46:07.96\00:46:11.10 the greatest and highest messenger, 00:46:11.13\00:46:13.64 all who are dead in Christ will rise first. 00:46:13.67\00:46:18.57 This is the first resurrection and then it says, 00:46:18.61\00:46:21.38 "And those who are alive and remain," 00:46:21.41\00:46:24.08 this is 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, 00:46:24.11\00:46:27.55 "will be caught up in the air." 00:46:27.58\00:46:29.12 Hallelujah. 00:46:29.15\00:46:30.72 This is exciting, 00:46:30.75\00:46:33.42 the second resurrection not so. 00:46:33.46\00:46:36.73 The second resurrection is after the 1000 years 00:46:36.76\00:46:41.96 and those come up as Jesus said 00:46:42.00\00:46:45.43 to the resurrection of condemnation, 00:46:45.47\00:46:48.27 those are the ones who will be destroyed in hell. 00:46:48.30\00:46:52.24 But what we see here 00:46:52.27\00:46:55.54 is that Michael watches over Israel 00:46:55.58\00:47:01.25 and he leads the holy created angels 00:47:01.28\00:47:05.52 as their Commander-in-Chief, 00:47:05.55\00:47:08.52 thus the Seventh-day Adventist 00:47:08.56\00:47:12.26 Bible commentary concludes 00:47:12.29\00:47:16.26 that Michael is another title for Jesus 00:47:16.30\00:47:21.57 and that Jesus Christ is Michael, 00:47:21.60\00:47:25.27 the Archangel. 00:47:25.31\00:47:27.88 Remember there's only two references 00:47:27.91\00:47:30.21 to archangel in the Bible. 00:47:30.25\00:47:34.52 Seventh-day Adventist commentary, 00:47:34.55\00:47:36.79 volume four, page 860 says this, 00:47:36.82\00:47:42.26 "The name Michael as the name of a heavenly being," 00:47:42.29\00:47:46.96 this is a quote, 00:47:47.00\00:47:48.33 "the name Michael 00:47:48.36\00:47:49.70 as the name of the heavenly being appears in the Bible 00:47:49.73\00:47:53.40 only in apocalyptic passage 00:47:53.44\00:47:57.61 then they give the reference of Daniel 10:13-21, 12:1, 00:47:57.64\00:48:02.74 Jude 9 and Revelation 12:7, 00:48:02.78\00:48:05.81 the five times when Michael is mentioned. 00:48:05.85\00:48:09.42 In instances 00:48:09.45\00:48:11.25 where Christ is in direct conflict 00:48:11.29\00:48:16.22 with Satan, 00:48:16.26\00:48:17.89 the name in Hebrew signifying 00:48:17.93\00:48:21.96 who is like God is at once a question 00:48:22.00\00:48:25.23 and a challenge. 00:48:25.27\00:48:27.04 Now continuing with the quote, it says this, 00:48:27.07\00:48:30.31 "In view of the fact 00:48:30.34\00:48:32.27 that Satan's rebellion is essentially an attempt 00:48:32.31\00:48:36.75 to install himself on the throne of God 00:48:36.78\00:48:39.85 and be like the Most High." 00:48:39.88\00:48:42.65 We saw that in Isaiah 14:14, 00:48:42.68\00:48:45.49 "The name Michael 00:48:45.52\00:48:47.22 is a most fitting one for Him, 00:48:47.26\00:48:52.39 referring to the Messiah, 00:48:52.43\00:48:54.23 who is undertaken to vindicate the character of God 00:48:54.26\00:48:57.87 and disprove Satan's claims." 00:48:57.90\00:49:03.41 Likewise, Matthew Henry, 00:49:03.44\00:49:06.71 that great Protestant commentator 00:49:06.74\00:49:10.61 concludes that Michael is Jesus, 00:49:10.65\00:49:16.48 the Archangel. 00:49:16.52\00:49:18.25 Listen to this. 00:49:18.29\00:49:20.22 Matthew Henry, quote "Michael, our Prince, 00:49:20.26\00:49:25.09 the eternal word, 00:49:25.13\00:49:28.00 the Angel of the covenant 00:49:28.03\00:49:30.73 who is indeed the Lord of the angels 00:49:30.77\00:49:35.17 who often appeared in a human shape 00:49:35.20\00:49:39.04 before He assumed 00:49:39.07\00:49:41.74 the human nature. 00:49:41.78\00:49:45.18 Oh, I feel like 00:49:45.21\00:49:47.58 I have just given you so much 00:49:47.62\00:49:54.46 to think on, 00:49:54.49\00:49:56.36 and I wanna take just a moment to review 00:49:56.39\00:50:00.20 because we went through this rapidly, 00:50:00.23\00:50:02.60 I want to encourage you 00:50:02.63\00:50:04.13 if you weren't able to write down 00:50:04.17\00:50:06.53 all the references 00:50:06.57\00:50:07.90 you can go to YouTube 00:50:07.94\00:50:09.27 and there you can listen to this message and pause it 00:50:09.30\00:50:12.87 where you want to write down something. 00:50:12.91\00:50:15.34 But what did we see? 00:50:15.38\00:50:17.25 Both in Hebrew, 00:50:17.28\00:50:20.08 the word in Hebrew that is translated messenger 00:50:20.12\00:50:24.49 or angel 00:50:24.52\00:50:26.89 that word is malak and then in Greek it's angelos 00:50:26.92\00:50:32.36 that is translated malak. 00:50:32.39\00:50:36.70 Excuse me, angelos that is translated messenger 00:50:36.73\00:50:39.77 or angel. 00:50:39.80\00:50:41.14 So don't be... 00:50:41.17\00:50:45.57 When you look at the word messenger 00:50:45.61\00:50:47.84 in the Bible 00:50:47.88\00:50:49.21 or you look at the word angel in the Bible, 00:50:49.24\00:50:51.75 you have to remember, 00:50:51.78\00:50:53.68 this is not describing the nature of the being, 00:50:53.72\00:50:58.65 it is describing the position of the authority 00:50:58.69\00:51:02.52 as a messenger of God. 00:51:02.56\00:51:05.49 So, that's the meaning for angel, 00:51:05.53\00:51:08.40 a messenger of God. 00:51:08.43\00:51:10.40 The meaning of arch means to be the chief, 00:51:10.43\00:51:14.34 the highest, the commander, the greatest. 00:51:14.37\00:51:18.57 So we put arch-angel together 00:51:18.61\00:51:21.88 and the meaning of archangel is to be the highest 00:51:21.91\00:51:27.62 or the greatest messenger. 00:51:27.65\00:51:31.25 That's why the Seventh-day Adventist Church 00:51:31.29\00:51:34.46 of which I am a member believes that Michael, 00:51:34.49\00:51:39.19 the Archangel is Jesus Christ 00:51:39.23\00:51:41.73 just as many other Protestants believe. 00:51:41.76\00:51:47.20 Michael is another title 00:51:47.24\00:51:51.97 for our Eternal God, 00:51:52.01\00:51:54.44 He is also called Faithful and True. 00:51:54.48\00:51:59.31 I wanna read this to you 00:51:59.35\00:52:01.38 from Revelation 19:11-16. 00:52:01.42\00:52:07.19 John writes, he's gonna describe 00:52:07.22\00:52:09.69 his vision to us 00:52:09.72\00:52:11.19 and he says, "Now I saw heaven opened, 00:52:11.23\00:52:14.46 and behold, a white horse. 00:52:14.50\00:52:17.03 And He who sat on him 00:52:17.07\00:52:19.93 was called Faithful and True, 00:52:19.97\00:52:23.37 and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 00:52:23.41\00:52:28.24 His eyes were like a flame of fire, 00:52:28.28\00:52:31.01 and on His head were many crowns. 00:52:31.05\00:52:34.62 He had a name written 00:52:34.65\00:52:37.02 that no one knew except Himself. 00:52:37.05\00:52:40.46 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, 00:52:40.49\00:52:45.09 and His name is called The Word of God." 00:52:45.13\00:52:49.83 Let me pause, these just sounds to me 00:52:49.86\00:52:52.43 like what John wrote in his gospel. 00:52:52.47\00:52:54.80 In John 1:1, when he said, 00:52:54.84\00:52:56.67 "In the beginning was the Word, 00:52:56.71\00:52:58.14 and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." 00:52:58.17\00:53:01.04 He was in the beginning with God. 00:53:01.08\00:53:04.11 He is not a created being 00:53:04.15\00:53:06.58 because John said in 1 John 1:3 00:53:06.61\00:53:10.22 that, "He made all things, nothing was made" 00:53:10.25\00:53:15.09 visible or invisible unless Jesus Christ made it 00:53:15.12\00:53:20.40 and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. 00:53:20.43\00:53:24.27 Jesus Christ was, is, 00:53:24.30\00:53:28.34 and ever will be 00:53:28.37\00:53:31.71 the living Word of God. 00:53:31.74\00:53:34.81 Now going back to John 19, 00:53:34.84\00:53:38.51 he says in verse 14, 00:53:38.55\00:53:40.65 catch this, "And the armies in heaven, 00:53:40.68\00:53:45.85 clothed in fine linen, 00:53:45.89\00:53:49.32 white and clean, 00:53:49.36\00:53:51.63 followed Him on white horses." 00:53:51.66\00:53:55.96 Who is the Archangel? 00:53:56.00\00:53:59.00 Who is the Commander of the Lord's army? 00:53:59.03\00:54:03.61 From Joshua 5, 00:54:03.64\00:54:05.61 Jesus Christ and the armies of heaven 00:54:05.64\00:54:08.38 are following Him. 00:54:08.41\00:54:10.51 And in verse 15, he says. 00:54:10.55\00:54:13.18 "Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, 00:54:13.21\00:54:17.75 that with it He should strike the nations." 00:54:17.79\00:54:20.89 Let me pause there because the Bible says 00:54:20.92\00:54:24.93 that, "The Word of God is like a double edged sword, 00:54:24.96\00:54:29.90 it divides even to cutting us into bones and marrow 00:54:29.93\00:54:35.50 and the intense of our heart." 00:54:35.54\00:54:38.14 So this double edge sword, 00:54:38.17\00:54:41.38 the Word of God is speaking, Jesus said, 00:54:41.41\00:54:46.21 "It is My word that will judge you. 00:54:46.25\00:54:50.49 So again with verse 15, 00:54:50.52\00:54:53.32 "Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, 00:54:53.36\00:54:56.56 that with it He should strike the nations." 00:54:56.59\00:54:59.19 And it's talking about His Word. 00:54:59.23\00:55:01.96 And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. 00:55:02.00\00:55:05.50 He Himself treads the winepress 00:55:05.53\00:55:08.74 of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 00:55:08.77\00:55:13.38 And He has on His robe 00:55:13.41\00:55:17.25 and on His thigh a name written, 00:55:17.28\00:55:21.45 King of kings and Lord of lords. 00:55:21.48\00:55:27.42 So let's do a quick review, 00:55:27.46\00:55:32.03 today's title is Heaven's Archangel. 00:55:32.06\00:55:36.03 We have seen, we answered three questions, 00:55:36.06\00:55:39.63 what does the word angel mean in the original languages. 00:55:39.67\00:55:45.14 The Bible was written, the Old Testament in Hebrew, 00:55:45.17\00:55:47.71 the New Testament in Greek. 00:55:47.74\00:55:49.28 In the Old Testament, 00:55:49.31\00:55:50.65 the word is malak 00:55:50.68\00:55:54.28 and it is translated both messenger and angel 00:55:54.32\00:56:00.22 by English translators. 00:56:00.26\00:56:02.19 In the Greek the word 00:56:02.22\00:56:05.19 also is translated as angel or messenger 00:56:05.23\00:56:09.40 and the word is angelos. 00:56:09.43\00:56:12.93 So, what it actually meant 00:56:12.97\00:56:16.44 was an angel 00:56:16.47\00:56:18.74 did not describe the nature of the being, 00:56:18.77\00:56:22.71 but the office of the being, 00:56:22.74\00:56:24.68 their position of authority as messengers of God. 00:56:24.71\00:56:27.98 Who is the Angel of the Lord 00:56:28.02\00:56:30.39 who appeared to Abraham, to Moses in the burning bush, 00:56:30.42\00:56:34.62 to Joshua, 00:56:34.66\00:56:35.99 to all of these Old Testament's saints? 00:56:36.02\00:56:38.86 It was none other than Jesus Christ Himself. 00:56:38.89\00:56:42.26 It's what Bible scholars called a Christophany, 00:56:42.30\00:56:45.83 where He appeared in His pre-incarnate nature. 00:56:45.87\00:56:50.74 And who is the only Archangel in the Bible? 00:56:50.77\00:56:53.68 There is only two references that says archangel, 00:56:53.71\00:56:57.11 five of that mentioned Michael 00:56:57.15\00:56:59.08 and as we have seen from Scripture, 00:56:59.11\00:57:02.68 God in the person, 00:57:02.72\00:57:05.19 the second person of the Godhead 00:57:05.22\00:57:07.79 who we know is Jesus Christ fits the description. 00:57:07.82\00:57:12.96 So why did I do this today? 00:57:12.99\00:57:16.63 Because there's so much misinformation 00:57:16.67\00:57:18.83 out there on angels, 00:57:18.87\00:57:20.20 and we need to know to look only to the Word of God. 00:57:20.24\00:57:25.07 Thank you for joining us. 00:57:25.11\00:57:26.68 Join
