the signs of the end,

Let me begin with a story.

He gained in his popularity
until he moved his congregation

there you can see him
preaching to his congregation

with its activities
in the San Francisco area

and also the tensions grew,

Some say Kool-Aid,
some say fruit punch.

The fact of the matter

deceive more than 900 people.

was set up as a cult leader.

them to accept him

into rejecting any warnings.

deception is perpetuated

People have an overwhelming
desire to believe in something.

And cult leaders become
the focal point of that desire.

And then begin to
manipulate their minds.

Cult leaders distract
their followers from the truth.

They tell them only

what they want their
followers to believe.

But when you think about that,

It says, "Now the

which the Lord God had made.

woman, 'Has God indeed said,

you shall not eat of
every tree of the garden.'"

He began by saying to Eve,

God is not really
squaring up with you.

Is God limiting you from eating
from every tree of the garden.

While the fact was, God
was only limiting one tree.

Now what happens to
a person that's simple.

You know, the Bible removes
the simplicity in our minds.

The entrance of
God's Word gives light.

If we allow God's
Word to be our guide,

Not that simplicity
is a difficult thing

It's good when you
have a simple diet,

it, you are in their grasp.

That's why Jesus warned
through the Apostle Paul,

that deception would
be Satan's master weapon.

Look at 2 Corinthians 11:3.

Paul the Apostle warns us again.

He says, "But I fear,

lest somehow as the serpent
deceived Eve by his craftiness,

so your minds may be
corrupted from the simplicity

that is in Christ."

There's that word
again, the simplicity

that is in Christ.

In other words,
when you're following

simplicity that Jesus gives us,

he says, it's not difficult.

It's not complicated.
It's not hard to understand.

that he takes advantage of is,

and he pours into it something

you away from the truth

about where the world is headed.

deception that is talked about

is describing a deception

that is about to be
unleashed on the world

when such unimaginable magnitude

that only those
kept by the Word of God

will be safe.

Look at Matthew 24:24.

Again, the words of
Jesus concerning the end times.

He says, "For false
christs and false prophets

will rise and show great
signs and wonders to deceive,

if possible, even the elect."

It's going to be amazing.

In other words, if you
are not a part of the elect,

those whose minds are
guarded by God's Word,

have been furnished

by the truth in God's Word.

If you are not a

you are going to be deceived.

The elect will be
shielded by God's Word.

is to gather them together

spirits of demons be at work.

how the devil is

For Satan himself

transforms himself
into an angel of light."
