I could say countless times.

I had a chance the other day

to look through some videotapes,

preaching scriptures

that seem to have been
a part of my vocabulary

But one of the vulnerabilities

a particular Bible verse

historical surrounding.

We're going to talk
about dominion today.

We are living at the end

of what has been
under construction,

almost 6,000 years.

We are in the midst

of what's called
the Great Controversy.

And there are only
two sides, good and evil,

Christ and Satan,
darkness and light.

And the battle is
over every human being

And the battle did
not begin on this planet,

the battle began in heaven.

And as we are going to
follow the Bible today,

we'll discover
there's a consistency

throughout the scriptures today,

because Satan's initial desire
is still his desire today.

Look at the first attempt
at overthrowing God's dominion.

Michael and his angels
fought with the dragon,"

Michael is Christ,

"and the dragon
and his angels fought,

but they did not prevail,

nor was a place found for
them in heaven any longer.

So the great dragon was cast out

that serpent of old,
called the Devil and Satan,"

notice what it says,

"who deceives the whole
world, he was cast to the earth,

and his angels
were cast out with him."

Let's follow that carefully.

This battle
that began in heaven,

the Bible makes it very clear
that Satan lost his dominion,

but let me suggest you today
he may have lost his dominion,

but he did not lose his desire.
00:09:41.94\00:09:44.38
His aspiration to
replace the government of God
00:09:44.41\00:09:49.55
was followed by the
desires of his heart.
00:09:49.58\00:09:52.72
He made it very
clear in his statements

in Isaiah Chapter 14,
what his initial objective was,
00:09:55.32\00:09:59.43
and although he lost his domain,
00:09:59.46\00:10:02.56
he did not lose his desire.

What was his desire?

Look at Isaiah Chapter
14, beginning with verse 13.

The devil said,
"For you have said,"
00:10:10.34\00:10:11.87
God is saying,
00:10:11.91\00:10:13.24
"For you have
said in your heart,"
00:10:13.27\00:10:15.11
here is Lucifer's words,
"I will ascend into heaven,
00:10:15.14\00:10:18.88
I will exalt my throne
above the stars of God,
00:10:18.91\00:10:22.38
I will also sit on the
mount of the congregation
00:10:22.42\00:10:25.29
On the farthest
sides of the north.
00:10:25.32\00:10:28.32
I will ascend above
the heights of the clouds,"
00:10:28.36\00:10:32.46
and get this, "I will
be like the Most High.'"
00:10:32.49\00:10:36.23
That's a statement of divinity.
00:10:36.26\00:10:37.67
I will be like the Most High.

From that day to
the very present,

my friends,

every power that has opposed God

and His government

has sought to accomplish
the very same purpose.

But when Satan was
cast out from heaven,

when Satan lost
his dominion in heaven,

he continued to
pursue his initial intent.

And that initial
intent was pursued

in the Garden of Eden.

The Bible makes
it very, very clear

that in order for
Satan's accomplishments,

his desires to be accomplished,

there was someone
he had to come after.
00:11:10.50\00:11:13.07
And I can suggest
to you very clearly,

his name was Adam,
00:11:15.14\00:11:16.47
because God gave Adam
something that Satan wanted.
00:11:16.50\00:11:20.38
Let's go to Genesis 1:26,
00:11:20.41\00:11:22.91
to see the why and
the what of Satan's aims.
00:11:22.94\00:11:25.78
And the Bible
will make it very clear
00:11:25.81\00:11:27.72
what the why is
and what the what is.
00:11:27.75\00:11:29.82
Genesis 1:26, "Then God
said," this is speaking to Adam,
00:11:29.85\00:11:35.79
"Let us make man in Our image,
according to Our likeness,
00:11:35.82\00:11:40.00
let them have dominion
over the fish of the sea,
00:11:40.03\00:11:44.13
over the birds of the
air, and over the cattle,
00:11:44.17\00:11:48.30
over all the earth and
over every creeping thing
00:11:48.34\00:11:51.57
that creeps on the earth."
00:11:51.61\00:11:55.38
Very important for Satan
00:11:55.41\00:11:58.25
to have dominion over the earth,
00:11:58.28\00:12:01.08
he had to go through Adam.
00:12:01.12\00:12:02.98
You see, when the
serpent challenged Eve

on the basis of God's Word,
00:12:05.25\00:12:07.39
he knew that
allegiance to God's Word
00:12:07.42\00:12:10.16
was her protection.
00:12:10.19\00:12:11.79
He knew that in order
00:12:11.83\00:12:13.16
to be able to
gain access to Adam,

he couldn't do it directly
00:12:15.00\00:12:16.50
because his
intentions will be so obvious.

And there's such an
amazing spiritual parallel
00:12:19.50\00:12:22.20
and when you look at
how the devil did it.

He found a woman
00:12:24.91\00:12:28.04
through whom he can
make an appeal to Adam.
00:12:28.08\00:12:30.71
We pick up the story
in Genesis Chapter 3,
00:12:30.75\00:12:33.15
the woman straying
from the side of her husband
00:12:33.18\00:12:36.12
questioned whether or not God
could rightfully prohibit her
00:12:36.15\00:12:39.89
from accessing the
tree of the knowledge
00:12:39.92\00:12:42.09
of good and evil.
00:12:42.12\00:12:43.56
And speaking these words,
00:12:43.59\00:12:45.26
she ran into
someone that she had no idea
00:12:45.29\00:12:48.70
was far greater
and more tenacious,
00:12:48.73\00:12:51.00
and more deceptive, and
more cunning than she was.
00:12:51.03\00:12:53.97
But when the
devil challenged her
00:12:54.00\00:12:55.60
on the basis of God's Word,

he said to her, "You
will not surely die."
00:12:57.11\00:12:59.84
And then he
succeeded to question her

about her allegiance to God.

And her response is
a very telling response

as to how Eve opened the
door to Satan's deceptions.

Notice Genesis 3:2 and 3.

Here's how the Bible reveals
how the door was opened up.

"And the woman
said to the serpent,
00:13:18.66\00:13:20.43
'We may eat of the fruit
of the trees of the garden,
00:13:20.46\00:13:23.20
but of the fruit of the tree
00:13:23.23\00:13:24.57
which is in the
midst of the garden,"
00:13:24.60\00:13:26.74
notice this, "God has
said," that's what Eve said,
00:13:26.77\00:13:30.01
"God has said,
'You shall not eat it,
00:13:30.04\00:13:34.14
nor shall you
touch it, lest you die.'"

I want you to grab that.
00:13:38.35\00:13:39.68
She said, "God said."

Right away, Eve contributed
her following statements.

She said, "This
is what God said."
00:13:45.52\00:13:47.19
In other words, this
is what God's Word says.

And then she added,
"Nor shall you touch it,
00:13:50.19\00:13:53.36
lest you die."

When Eve included
what God never said,

Satan gained access to her.

You see, it was one
thing for Eve to be deceived,

but Adam would
have not lost dominion
00:14:05.91\00:14:08.44
if he did not get this,
00:14:08.48\00:14:10.81
swallow what the
woman gave him to eat.
00:14:10.85\00:14:15.42
And the Bible gives us
this little small verse

in Genesis 3:6.
00:14:17.99\00:14:20.26
And the Bible says,

"She also gave to
her husband with her,
00:14:21.66\00:14:25.49
and he ate."

Amazing.

Three small words "and he ate".

Those three words allowed Adam

to lose control of the dominion

that God had given to him.

Satan gained access to
Adam by those three words

"and he ate".

But there's an application
here that's very powerful.

You see, the woman in
prophecy represents the church.

Adam, in this
particular scenario

represents those that
God has given dominion,

those that God has given
rulership over the earth.

And today we live in a society,

the woman
represents the church today.

Adam represents world leaders

and on every corner of
our globe, in every society,

there are those that
have been given dominion,

governmental dominion,
00:15:15.31\00:15:17.05
power and
authority over the earth.

The woman
represented the church.
00:15:19.21\00:15:21.28
Let me make a suggestion here.

Let me make an amazing parallel.

When the leaders of God's Church

abandon a plain
thus sayeth the Lord,

they become
complicit in Satan's campaign

to wrestle control of the world,

from the political
and religious leaders

that are governing the
dominions of the earth.

Now this is important,

because Revelation takes Genesis

and puts it
again at the very end,

but gives it an expanded light.

In the Book of Genesis, we
find a woman and a serpent.

In the Book of
Revelation, we find again,

a woman and a serpent.

We'll consider

the woman represents the church.

There are leaders around
the world that are under,

correct word here,

that are on dangerous ground

when they lend
their ear to those

proliferate her ideology

governments of the earth.

us what will happen.

abundance of her luxury."

maybe your place of worship.

They are sincere people
today looking for answers

in this somewhat confusing
confusion of societies,

reconstruction out of something

that was so chaotic.

How do we get back to
normal people have asked,

"Will we ever
get back to normal?"

Well, we may get back
to some sense of normalcy,

but don't look for things
to be the way they used to be.

The voice of God
today is being proclaimed

the noise of this world,

above a confused society,

racked by sin and chaos,

and disease and suffering,

to pleasure and darkness,

and things that are
temporal in their appeasement

a world crumbling

and a foundation that
cannot last eternally.

God is extending a
call to His people.

And I believe that because
the Lord loves us so much,

there are those who
will hear the voice of God

as Babylon is being formed,

those in the system of Babylon.

is coming together,

Those in America that
claim allegiance to God's word,

while people are dying
for the want of the gospel.

This is the
world that Jesus sees,

dying of hunger every day,

water is hard to find

in so many parts of the world,

This is the

A world of wars
and rumors of wars,

This is the
world that Jesus sees.

And He's saying to
this kind of world,

"I'm calling My

I'm going to destroy Babylon,

and all the evil
attempts that Satan has made

will go down in
