Book of Matthew Chapter 24.

And I take you
through the scenes

that when Jesus

and His disciples
were in the temple

that they were so
impressed with the buildings

and the stones, it
was an awesome sight.

And in Matthew Chapter
24 beginning in verse 1,
00:08:29.14\00:08:31.87
we have these words.
00:08:31.91\00:08:33.24
"Then Jesus went out and
departed from the temple,
00:08:33.27\00:08:36.44
and His disciples came up
00:08:36.48\00:08:37.95
to show Him the
buildings of the temple.
00:08:37.98\00:08:42.08
And Jesus said to them,
00:08:42.12\00:08:44.12
'Do you not see
all these things?
00:08:44.15\00:08:46.82
Assuredly, I say to you,
00:08:46.86\00:08:48.59
not one stone shall be
left here upon another,
00:08:48.62\00:08:52.79
that shall not be thrown down.'"

Now in Matthew 24:3,

something interesting happens
00:09:02.04\00:09:04.07
because the disciples
wanted to know about this.

They said...
00:09:07.94\00:09:09.28
Verse 3, "Now as He
sat on the Mount of Olives,
00:09:09.31\00:09:11.51
the disciples
came to Him privately,
00:09:11.55\00:09:13.45
saying, 'Tell us,
when shall these things be?
00:09:13.48\00:09:18.42
And what shall be
the sign of Your coming,
00:09:18.45\00:09:22.99
and of the end of the age?'"
00:09:23.02\00:09:25.56
Here the
disciples wanted to know
00:09:25.59\00:09:28.26
what does all this mean?
00:09:28.30\00:09:31.13
To them, the fact
that the temple stones
00:09:31.17\00:09:35.70
and the buildings
will be thrown down
00:09:35.74\00:09:37.71
meant to them that
00:09:37.74\00:09:39.07
that would be
the end of the world.
00:09:39.11\00:09:42.54
And Jesus mercifully blended
00:09:42.58\00:09:47.52
the destruction of
the temple in Jerusalem
00:09:47.55\00:09:50.29
with the signs of the end
00:09:50.32\00:09:52.49
and of His coming
in His explanation.

So as we look at some verses

here in the Book
of Matthew Chapter 24,

we're not gonna
focus a lot on the signs
00:10:01.30\00:10:03.47
and every detail of the signs
00:10:03.50\00:10:06.30
because there is something here
00:10:06.33\00:10:08.47
that people miss,
00:10:08.50\00:10:09.84
I believe to their detriment
00:10:09.87\00:10:12.01
because they
focus in on the signs
00:10:12.04\00:10:13.91
and the signs and the signs.
00:10:13.94\00:10:15.61
And there's a message here
00:10:15.64\00:10:17.68
from Jesus that we
all need to understand.

And I hope that
today it is my prayer
00:10:21.32\00:10:24.69
that you will see
this as we study together.

Now wouldn't you love
to have the opportunity

that the
disciples had to ask Jesus

the same question?

When shall these things be?

the sign of Your coming?

Lord, we're
going through this now.

What was gonna happen next?

You know the invitation of Jesus

is still open for us today.

Remember, Jesus said,
"Ask and you shall receive."

But let's go to
Matthew 11:28-30.
00:10:53.98\00:10:58.29
Actually, Matthew 11:28-30.

And we're going to see
there an invitation from Jesus
00:11:01.96\00:11:04.46
that is for us today as well.
00:11:04.49\00:11:07.16
Notice, "Come to Me,
00:11:07.20\00:11:09.96
all you who labor
and are heavy laden,
00:11:10.00\00:11:12.23
and I will give you rest.
00:11:12.27\00:11:15.27
Take My yoke upon
you and learn from Me,
00:11:15.30\00:11:17.67
for I am gentle
and lowly in heart,
00:11:17.71\00:11:20.61
and you will find
rest for your souls."
00:11:20.64\00:11:24.48
Notice this,
"Take My yoke upon you
00:11:24.51\00:11:28.28
and learn from
Me, for I am gentle

and lowly in heart,

and you will find
rest for your souls."

And the next verse says,

"For My yoke is easy
and My burden is light."

You see in this
scripture Jesus tell us that
00:11:39.13\00:11:43.06
we can come to
Him and learn from Him
00:11:43.10\00:11:47.20
because He is meek
and lowly of heart.
00:11:47.24\00:11:50.57
He says, "Learn from Me,
00:11:50.61\00:11:51.94
for I am gentle
and lowly of heart."
00:11:51.97\00:11:54.94
So yes, we can come
to Jesus and ask Him,
00:11:54.98\00:11:57.21
says, "Teach me, Jesus.
00:11:57.25\00:11:58.91
Teach me."
00:11:58.95\00:12:01.08
Another promise is found to us
00:12:01.12\00:12:03.65
in the Book of
Jeremiah Chapter 33.
00:12:03.69\00:12:07.09
And in Jeremiah Chapter 33,
00:12:07.12\00:12:10.03
we have these
wonderful words in verse 3,
00:12:10.06\00:12:13.19
"Call to Me, and
I will answer you,
00:12:13.23\00:12:16.46
and show you
great and mighty things,
00:12:16.50\00:12:19.03
which you do not know."
00:12:19.07\00:12:21.24
So the Lord gives
us an open invitation
00:12:21.27\00:12:24.24
to learn from
Him to call upon Him,
00:12:24.27\00:12:26.88
and He will indeed show
us great and mighty things

that we do not know,
00:12:29.78\00:12:31.41
but we must come
just as Jesus is humble
00:12:31.45\00:12:37.29
with a learning
spirit and a learning desire,

asking the Lord to
help us understand.

Let's go to the
Matthew Chapter 24 again
00:12:44.59\00:12:47.73
and take up the reading there.
00:12:47.76\00:12:50.57
In Matthew Chapter 24,
let's continue in verse 6.
00:12:50.60\00:12:54.80
Verse 6, "And you will
hear of wars and rumors of wars.
00:12:54.84\00:12:58.67
See that you are not troubled,
00:12:58.71\00:13:00.81
for all these
things must come to pass,
00:13:00.84\00:13:03.51
but the end is not yet.
00:13:03.55\00:13:06.28
For nation will
rise against nation,
00:13:06.31\00:13:08.48
and kingdom against kingdom.
00:13:08.52\00:13:09.85
And there will be famines,
00:13:09.88\00:13:12.32
pestilences and
earthquakes in various places."
00:13:12.35\00:13:18.09
Notice here, that
the next verse says,
00:13:18.13\00:13:21.50
"All these are
00:13:21.53\00:13:24.53
the beginning of sorrows."
00:13:24.57\00:13:28.17
So, brothers and sisters,
00:13:28.20\00:13:29.54
we have a message from Jesus
that wars and rumors of wars,
00:13:29.57\00:13:34.04
pestilences and all these things
00:13:34.08\00:13:37.35
are the beginning of sorrows.
00:13:37.38\00:13:40.02
And we have entered
into this throughout history.
00:13:40.05\00:13:43.08
Even before the
destruction of Jerusalem,
00:13:43.12\00:13:46.25
there were wars
and rumors of wars.
00:13:46.29\00:13:48.26
There were famines.
00:13:48.29\00:13:49.62
There were earthquakes.
00:13:49.66\00:13:52.53
All these things that
Jesus said will happen,
00:13:52.56\00:13:54.56
happened before the
destruction of Jerusalem.
00:13:54.60\00:13:56.80
And Jerusalem was
destroyed in 70 AD,
00:13:56.83\00:14:00.44
but you see these same signs
00:14:00.47\00:14:04.31
are repeated in
the time of the end
00:14:04.34\00:14:06.31
because Jesus combined the two
00:14:06.34\00:14:08.04
and many things like happened
00:14:08.08\00:14:10.45
before the
destruction of Jerusalem
00:14:10.48\00:14:12.08
happens for us
in these last days
00:14:12.11\00:14:15.92
that we're living in.
00:14:15.95\00:14:18.55
So when you
consider these things,
00:14:18.59\00:14:22.69
these are the
beginning of sorrows.

We have been in the time
of sorrows for many years.

You may be able
to look in history.

I don't know how old you are,
but think back 10, 20, 30 years

and you have seen an increase
in tornadoes, and hurricanes,

earthquakes, fires
in different places.

We're living in
the time of the end.

We don't have
enough time to show you
00:14:45.21\00:14:47.52
how prophetically we
are living in the last days,

but the signs that
Jesus spoke in Matthew 24
00:14:50.85\00:14:54.19
nearly all are fulfilled.
00:14:54.22\00:14:57.86
And we're living
in the last days.
00:14:57.89\00:15:01.46
And, of course, some right now

you may be in your home
because of the Coronavirus

and this pandemic that is,

it's incredible
what has taken place.

Virtually about
00:15:13.94\00:15:15.74
over 180 countries
00:15:15.78\00:15:20.68
already have
infections of the Coronavirus,
00:15:20.72\00:15:24.72
180, more than 180
countries actually.
00:15:24.75\00:15:28.92
Thousands have died
00:15:28.96\00:15:31.53
and we are
living in the last days,

but I like to point out
to you that this Coronavirus

is but a wake-up
call to help God's people

understand that we are
living in the last days.
00:15:40.97\00:15:45.61
Now I want to go to
one of my favorite Psalms
00:15:45.64\00:15:48.88
and read to you from Psalms 46.
00:15:48.91\00:15:52.51
In Psalms 46, we have a message
00:15:52.55\00:15:56.38
from the Lord
that is very powerful
00:15:56.42\00:15:59.42
and we should understand
that God has a message for us.
00:15:59.45\00:16:04.03
Notice these words, verse 1-2,
00:16:04.06\00:16:06.03
"God is our refuge and strength,
00:16:06.06\00:16:08.76
a very present help in trouble.
00:16:08.80\00:16:11.87
Therefore we will not fear,
00:16:11.90\00:16:14.87
even though the
earth be removed,
00:16:14.90\00:16:17.01
and though the mountains
00:16:17.04\00:16:19.04
be carried into
the midst of the sea."
00:16:19.07\00:16:23.04
Let's go to verse 3
also, "Though its waters roar
00:16:23.08\00:16:26.65
and be troubled,
00:16:26.68\00:16:28.92
though the mountains
shake with its swelling."
00:16:28.95\00:16:33.59
So, brothers and sisters,

we can take refuge
in God and don't let it,

don't be carried away
00:16:39.59\00:16:40.93
with the fears of the world

because God has exceeding
great and precious promises.

These are times for you and I

to get closer to the Lord

and have the assurance
that what Jesus said is true.

He said, "I will
be with you always

even until the
end of the world."

I like to point to
you another scripture

that is of encouragement.

found in Isaiah 41:10.

In Isaiah 41:10,
the Bible tells us,

"Fear not, for I am with you.

Be not dismayed,
for I am your God.

I will strengthen
you, yes, I will help you,

I will uphold you with
My righteous right hand."

This is the God that we serve.

This is the almighty God,

and I encourage you to trust Him

with all your heart.

Matthew 24, it's a
powerful book to read,

and we can learn
many things there,

but I wanna show you
another wonderful promise.

In Isaiah 26:3-4.

Some people have this memorized.

Notice these wonderful
words in Isaiah 26:3-4.

"You will keep
him in perfect peace,

whose mind is stayed on
You, because he trusts in You.

Trust in the Lord forever.
00:18:16.06\00:18:18.13
For in Jehovah, the
Lord, is everlasting strength."

Praise God. He is
our everlasting strength.

We don't have to fear
as long as we understand
00:18:28.57\00:18:32.27
and believe that
Jesus is with us.

So I encourage you to believe,

get familiar with
the promises of God.

This is a marvelous
opportunity for you and I

to stink deep
into the Word of God

assurance in our hearts that
