be paying attention

interesting public statement

mayor in Ontario, Canada.

He's a politician.

And obviously he
has some influence.

And he released

We see this often occur

officials' article statements

by religious leaders
or influential people

around our world that we're
seeing more and more of this,

especially over
the past few decades

of people talking about
00:10:08.87\00:10:10.31
the importance
of observing Sunday.
00:10:10.34\00:10:13.64
And I just want to
state for the record,

we as Seventh-day Adventists,
00:10:16.18\00:10:17.51
I know me as a
Seventh-day Adventists
00:10:17.55\00:10:18.88
I believe in worshiping
the Lord every single day.
00:10:18.91\00:10:22.45
And we want to make
that very, very, very clear.
00:10:22.48\00:10:25.25
The Sabbath is
indeed in the Bible,
00:10:25.29\00:10:27.36
the seventh day of the week.
00:10:27.39\00:10:28.72
And we also want
to make that clear
00:10:28.76\00:10:30.63
that while we should
worship God every single day,
00:10:30.66\00:10:33.43
as we're going
to talk about today,
00:10:33.46\00:10:34.96
we know that the
biblical seventh day Sabbath
00:10:35.00\00:10:37.67
is Saturday and not Sunday,
00:10:37.70\00:10:40.50
but yet there seems
to be this gradual move,

there seems to be
this movement occurring,
00:10:43.71\00:10:45.77
kind of behind closed
doors or underneath the surface
00:10:45.81\00:10:49.01
that has people
thinking in the direction
00:10:49.04\00:10:51.51
of maybe
bringing about a movement,
00:10:51.55\00:10:54.05
legislation laws that
will put this into place
00:10:54.08\00:10:57.82
in which everyone
must observe Sunday
00:10:57.85\00:11:01.59
as a day of rest, as a
holy day of observance.
00:11:01.62\00:11:06.26
Now, the reason why I feel that
00:11:06.29\00:11:07.73
this is important to talk
about is because first of all,
00:11:07.76\00:11:11.17
I feel personally convicted
00:11:11.20\00:11:12.63
that all of these
prophetic themes in the Bible,
00:11:12.67\00:11:15.17
not just this
one but all of them
00:11:15.20\00:11:16.54
should be declared
in these last days.
00:11:16.57\00:11:18.44
We know that the
three angels' messages
00:11:18.47\00:11:20.24
of Revelation 14 are
going to the entire world
00:11:20.28\00:11:23.81
and God's remnant people
00:11:23.85\00:11:25.28
who are full of the
Holy Spirit in the last days,
00:11:25.31\00:11:27.35
they will rise up
00:11:27.38\00:11:28.72
and they will
preach this message,
00:11:28.75\00:11:30.25
including giving out the warning
00:11:30.29\00:11:32.52
and the clear message
that there are Sunday laws
00:11:32.55\00:11:35.16
that will come
that will be passed
00:11:35.19\00:11:37.53
and we will have to
make a decision otherwise.
00:11:37.56\00:11:40.03
In fact, I want to
read a statement right now.
00:11:40.06\00:11:42.40
This is found in the Review
and Herald, December 24, 1889.

Notice this very
powerful statement.

It says, "There are
many who are at ease,
00:11:51.07\00:11:54.71
who are, as it were, asleep.
00:11:54.74\00:11:57.71
They say, 'If prophecy
00:11:57.75\00:11:59.41
has foretold the enforcement
of Sunday observance,
00:11:59.45\00:12:03.18
the law will surely be enacted,'
00:12:03.22\00:12:05.95
and having come
to this conclusion,
00:12:05.99\00:12:07.69
they sit down in a calm
expectation of the event,
00:12:07.72\00:12:12.73
comforting themselves
with the thought that God
00:12:12.76\00:12:15.56
will protect His
people in the day of trouble.
00:12:15.60\00:12:19.43
But God will not save us

if we make no
effort to do the work

He has committed to our charge."

And then it goes on to
say, "As faithful watchman,

you should see the sword coming

and give the warning,

that men and women
may not pursue a course

through ignorance
that they would avoid

if they knew the truth."

And so, again, as I
said before while, yes,

we have men and
women and brethren

within our
movement that have risen up,

that are teaching this message.

Some are a little hesitant
to declare such a message

or to talk about this Sunday law
00:12:54.20\00:12:55.90
because when you start
talking about Sunday laws
00:12:55.94\00:12:58.17
that haven't yet
take place, obviously,
00:12:58.21\00:13:00.88
there's going to
be some speculation
00:13:00.91\00:13:02.34
from others around you.
00:13:02.38\00:13:03.71
Perhaps maybe we have visitors
00:13:03.75\00:13:05.11
who are sitting
in our congregations
00:13:05.15\00:13:07.08
from Sabbath to Sabbath,
00:13:07.12\00:13:08.45
and we just choose not
to talk about this subject
00:13:08.48\00:13:10.22
because we don't
want to offend someone,
00:13:10.25\00:13:12.15
or we don't want
to bring about a fear,
00:13:12.19\00:13:15.89
or maybe make people think that
00:13:15.92\00:13:17.79
we're weird by
talking about such things.
00:13:17.83\00:13:19.93
But nonetheless, my friends,
00:13:19.96\00:13:21.30
we are counseled in
the Spirit of Prophecy,
00:13:21.33\00:13:23.67
that we are to
raise the banner of truth,
00:13:23.70\00:13:25.70
that we are to sound the alarm,
00:13:25.73\00:13:27.34
and that now while
we have an opportunity
00:13:27.37\00:13:30.44
during this time of peace,
00:13:30.47\00:13:31.84
and I know that kind
of sounds contradicting
00:13:31.87\00:13:34.18
or counteractive to
talk about a time of peace
00:13:34.21\00:13:36.61
with all of this COVID-19
00:13:36.64\00:13:38.18
and all this
happening around us,
00:13:38.21\00:13:39.61
but yet we know
we are not living
00:13:39.65\00:13:41.58
in what the Bible
calls the time of trouble,
00:13:41.62\00:13:44.19
that will be so
much far worse than
00:13:44.22\00:13:45.89
what we are going through now.
00:13:45.92\00:13:47.36
Again, that is
not to spark fear.
00:13:47.39\00:13:49.59
That is not to spark anxiety
or worry into the hearts,
00:13:49.62\00:13:52.39
but rather bring about
an awakening of God's people
00:13:52.43\00:13:55.86
that we may be awake
and aware of the times
00:13:55.90\00:13:58.43
that we're
living in, that we make
00:13:58.47\00:13:59.87
keep a watchful
eye of the things
00:13:59.90\00:14:01.50
that are happening around us,

so that when we see
these things happening,

as Jesus said, we will know that
00:14:04.57\00:14:06.24
His coming is very near.

Now, before we go any further,

I just want to establish
some prophetic foundation

for what I'm going to
be talking about today.

Many of you may
consider this to be reviewed,

many of you may
consider this to be something
00:14:19.12\00:14:20.46
that you already know.

But there may be someone
watching right now that says,

"You know what?

I'm hearing this for
the very first time."

And as I said in the
beginning of this sermon,

this message is for everyone.

The message of a
coming Sunday law
00:14:31.17\00:14:34.34
and the cloudy times
that we're living in,
00:14:34.37\00:14:36.71
we know that this is not
just for Seventh-day Adventists.
00:14:36.74\00:14:40.24
This is for the entire world
as the three angels' messages
00:14:40.28\00:14:43.31
go to the entire world,
00:14:43.35\00:14:45.31
all nations,
languages and tongues.
00:14:45.35\00:14:48.45
And so I want to begin talking
about the prophetic skeleton,
00:14:48.48\00:14:52.02
the very foundation of
how we come to this message
00:14:52.05\00:14:55.69
and where we are in declaring
this Sunday law movement
00:14:55.72\00:14:58.79
that will be up on us very soon.
00:14:58.83\00:15:01.03
I want to start in the
Book of Daniel Chapter 7.
00:15:01.06\00:15:04.50
And it's very interesting
when you start reading
00:15:04.53\00:15:06.30
the opening verses of Daniel 7
00:15:06.33\00:15:07.80
because Daniel
obviously is in vision,
00:15:07.84\00:15:10.04
and he sees some
rather interesting things.
00:15:10.07\00:15:12.51
He sees as he's
standing on the edge of the sea,
00:15:12.54\00:15:15.04
and he's looking out
on the embankment there.
00:15:15.08\00:15:17.28
He's looking out at the sea,
and he sees this lion come up
00:15:17.31\00:15:20.75
out of the water,
00:15:20.78\00:15:22.62
with obviously a
double or a set of wings.
00:15:22.65\00:15:25.62
So a one winged lion,
rather interesting figure.
00:15:25.65\00:15:28.62
But as this lion
begins to fade away coming up,
00:15:28.66\00:15:31.33
out of that same water
00:15:31.36\00:15:32.69
comes a bear with
three ribs in its mouth,
00:15:32.73\00:15:35.36
and it's raised up on one side.
00:15:35.40\00:15:38.83
And then, of course,
00:15:38.87\00:15:40.20
as that bear's
fading away in the distance,
00:15:40.24\00:15:42.14
there comes another interesting
00:15:42.17\00:15:43.94
creature up out
of that same water,
00:15:43.97\00:15:45.67
a four headed leopard,
a leopard with four heads,
00:15:45.71\00:15:50.31
and it has not
just a pair of wings,
00:15:50.35\00:15:52.18
but a double set of wings.
00:15:52.21\00:15:54.98
And then as that third animal
00:15:55.02\00:15:57.85
or beast is
fading in the distance,
00:15:57.89\00:16:01.12
we see a fourth
beast come about.
00:16:01.16\00:16:07.26
Daniel isn't
even able to describe
00:16:07.30\00:16:09.16
or actually give a proper
name to this fourth beast.
00:16:09.20\00:16:12.43
He just describes him as
being terrible, dreadful,
00:16:12.47\00:16:15.24
more powerful
00:16:15.27\00:16:16.60
than any other beast before him,
00:16:16.64\00:16:18.91
destroying all the others
in its path and, of course,
00:16:18.94\00:16:22.08
bringing about a
world dominant movement
00:16:22.11\00:16:25.01
that would change
the world forevermore.
00:16:25.05\00:16:27.72
Now, we need not
go very far as to know
00:16:27.75\00:16:29.38
what these beasts represent
00:16:29.42\00:16:31.02
because right there in
the 7th Chapter of Daniel,
00:16:31.05\00:16:33.05
we're told that these
beasts represent kings
00:16:33.09\00:16:35.49
which obviously have kingdoms.
00:16:35.52\00:16:37.43
So these are powerful
world dominant empires
00:16:37.46\00:16:41.10
from Daniels'
day all the way down
00:16:41.13\00:16:43.20
to the very end of the world.
00:16:43.23\00:16:45.33
And we know that lion to
simply represent the kingdom
00:16:45.37\00:16:47.94
of Babylon,
00:16:47.97\00:16:49.30
because it
makes very clear to us
00:16:49.34\00:16:51.07
in constitution
with or in parallel
00:16:51.11\00:16:53.71
with Daniel
Chapter 2, we know that
00:16:53.74\00:16:55.28
the head of gold
00:16:55.31\00:16:56.64
was indeed the
kingdom of Babylon.
00:16:56.68\00:16:58.31
Also coming after
Babylon represented by the chest
00:16:58.35\00:17:01.78
and arms of silver in Daniel 2,
00:17:01.82\00:17:03.52
as well as the bear
with three ribs in its mouth
00:17:03.55\00:17:07.89
coming up would obviously
be the kingdom of Medo-Persia.
00:17:07.92\00:17:11.66
And then, of course,
we have the third kingdom
00:17:11.69\00:17:13.46
that came after the
Medes and the Persians,
00:17:13.50\00:17:15.36
which was the kingdom of Greece,
00:17:15.40\00:17:17.00
which is
represented by the belly
00:17:17.03\00:17:18.90
and thighs of
bronze in Daniel Chapter 2,
00:17:18.93\00:17:20.94
as well as the four
headed beast there in,
00:17:20.97\00:17:25.17
or the four headed
leopard in Daniel Chapter 7.
00:17:25.21\00:17:27.88
And then interestingly enough,
00:17:27.91\00:17:29.41
you come in Daniel
Chapter 2 to these legs of iron,
00:17:29.44\00:17:32.41
which proceeded to the feet.
00:17:32.45\00:17:34.35
And then, of course,
obviously in Daniel Chapter 7,
00:17:34.38\00:17:37.09
this horrible, dreadful,
00:17:37.12\00:17:38.85
terrible beast
that has iron teeth.
00:17:38.89\00:17:41.02
There's no doubt
which nation came
00:17:41.06\00:17:43.22
after the nation of Greece
as a world dominant empire.

after this fourth beast

brought to the head

of this fourth beast.

It's almost as if God hits
the zoom button on the camera,

he zooms in on the
head of this fourth beast

and he sees a little horn.

Notice Daniel
7:8, the Bible says,

"I was considering the horns,
and there was another horn,
00:18:15.02\00:18:18.29
a little one
coming up among them,
00:18:18.33\00:18:21.50
before whom three
of the first horns
00:18:21.53\00:18:23.43
were plucked out by the roots.
00:18:23.47\00:18:25.83
And there, in the horn,
00:18:25.87\00:18:27.24
were the eyes
like the eyes of a man,
00:18:27.27\00:18:29.07
and a mouth speaking,
pompous words" or great things.

And so it's very interesting

a small kingdom.

this is vitally important

as we consider and talk about

this coming Sunday law movement,

this legislation that we're told

is going to happen.

We must understand this

at its roots, at its foundation.

Notice what
Daniel also says about

this little horn in Daniel 7:25.

He says, "He shall
speak pompous words

against the Most High,

and shall persecute the
saints of the Most High,
00:19:16.42\00:19:19.05
and shall intend to
change times and law.

Then the saints shall be
given into his hand for a time

and times and half a time."

So very
interestingly here, you see that

there's a little bit more detail

given about this little horn.

He's speaking great
words against the Most High,

that would be Jesus,
that would be God, right?

Obviously, he's
going on to persecute

the saints of God's
people, obviously, God's people,
00:19:44.31\00:19:47.35
the saints, he's
persecuting them.

And then it goes on
to say that he intends
00:19:49.25\00:19:51.39
or thinks to
change times and law,
00:19:51.42\00:19:53.49
and we do not need to wonder
00:19:53.52\00:19:54.86
as to what type
of times and laws

or law this is talking about
00:19:56.66\00:19:58.09
because the
theme of this chapter,

of course, is God,
he's attacking God,

he's speaking
against God, he's wearing out

and persecuting
the saints of God.

And therefore, it begs
for us to conclude that

this law that he thinks
he has the power to change
00:20:10.04\00:20:12.87
is none other
than God's holy law,

the Ten Commandments.

And there just happens to be

a special
commandment within those ten,

not more important
than any of the others,

but it just so
happens to deal with time.

And, of course, that would
be the Sabbath commandment,

the fourth commandment
of the Ten Commandments.

Now, the reason why
I'm bringing this out

We've seen there,
desecrating the temple

and casting truth to the ground.
00:20:49.21\00:20:51.48
Most biblical scholars
today and theologians agree

that this
little horn is no doubt
00:20:54.62\00:20:56.38
the Antichrist
of Bible prophecy.

Now, they may not agree
00:20:59.49\00:21:00.82
on the identity
of that little horn.

But there's no
doubt in their mind that

this little horn power

is the Antichrist
of Bible prophecy.

is an Antichrist power

Notice what the Bible says here.

up on the sand of the sea,"

just as Daniel did.

"And I saw a beast,"

"rising up out of the sea,"

heads and ten horns,

Now the beast which I

because we have,
again, a lion, a bear
00:22:23.57\00:22:25.81
and a leopard
mentioned there in Daniel 7

of which this one beast
00:22:27.68\00:22:29.18
in Revelation
13 is comprised of.

And so that being said,

if you continue on, you
start to, you kind of just,

you're able to dial in
the identity of who this is,

"and to overcome them.

And authority was
given him over every tribe,

tongue, and nation.

All who dwell on the
earth will worship him,

whose names have not been

written in the Book

So, my friends, this
power is not some little

willy-nilly
little system on a corner

of some street somewhere,

we're talking about a
world dominant system.

And again, most
biblical scholars

and theologians would agree that

this power is
no doubt a replica,

an extension of
what we see in Daniel 7

in this little horn.

We're talking about

the Antichrist
of Bible prophecy.

who this power is,
because we are no doubt

Roman papal church state.

Catholic Church system.

about people necessarily.

system that is carried out,

But this system is counterfeit
to God's kingdom agenda.

given a deadly wound.

deadly wound was given,

we know that that
was in and around 1798,

when the Pope of Rome

captive and arrested by

Napoleon

and we read there in history

and we see that
the Catholic Church,

their political
authority was taken away.

Their great worldwide

dominant
influence was taken away

for a moment in time,

and they were simply
just another church system.

But when you get to
verse 11 of Revelation 13,

and you see the second beast
coming up out of the earth,

you start to see
another world dominant power

come into existence.

And I'm not even
going to hide this at all,

because we know
very clearly that

this is none other
according to the timeframe

one coming up out of the earth,
a sparsely populated area,

none other than the nation,

the worldwide empire

of the United States of America.

And here's where it
gets even more interesting.

speaking of this second beast,

the United States superpower.

beast in his presence,

and causes the earth

it to worship the first beast,

Now, I have to
say for the record,

that deadly
wound, even as I speak,

completely healed as of yet,

but it has been
healing since 1929

when the Italian

gave back to the
Catholic Church system

their religio-political
influence and power.

In other words, they
became another great state,

another empire
to be able to rule

and to give great
influence among our world.

Chapter 13 tells us

very clearly that the
United States of America

and the papacy,

the first beast

Antichrist of Bible prophecy,

they're going to
unite in the last days,

they're going to
create an alliance.

And we know very clearly that
they're going to work together

to enforce worship,
a system of worship.

speaking of the second beast,
