hear the words warning

people of such things,

it comes with
fear, it sparks anxiety,

it sparks worry, and then fear,

but we don't want that
to be the case this morning

because as long as
we know Jesus Christ

we have nothing to fear about.

And I'm not going
to read all of it but,

of course, this is the
famous Olivet Discourse,

Jesus approximately one week

before His death on a cross

would share some
of the final events

of Bible prophecy,

events of our time

transpire before He returns.

He says, "For nation
will rise against nation,

And there will be famines,
pestilences, and," there it is,

"earthquakes in various places.

All these are the
beginning of sorrows."

are the beginning of birth pains

because like a woman

I think we are seeing
many of these signs play out

is going on around us

this virus that is,

seems to be taking control

of the world in our societies

and sparking fear and anxiety

and all of the
emotions that come with that.

We know that we are definitely
living in the last days,

but I did not bring
you here to this morning

to talk about an earthquake

because we know that

there will
always be earthquakes,
00:15:19.65\00:15:21.55
but we are
counseled in scripture.

We are told that
00:15:23.79\00:15:25.15
there will be a church
quake in the last days,
00:15:25.19\00:15:28.72
we are told that
there is going to be
00:15:28.76\00:15:30.76
some shaking that will occur.
00:15:30.79\00:15:32.76
And I want to preach today,

I want to
declare the message today
00:15:34.16\00:15:35.83
about this great
shaking time period
00:15:35.86\00:15:38.20
that we are living in
00:15:38.23\00:15:39.57
and will
continue to live through
00:15:39.60\00:15:40.94
as the day's progress.

I wanna read a quote

the Testimonies, page 15.

We are told,

"Soon the battle
will be waged fiercely

and those who serve Him not.

be shaken will be shaken,

that those things

So we are told that

there will be indeed
a shaking time period.

And I believe with all my heart

that we are starting to see
the results of that shaking.

Now again, I just
want to re-emphasize

that this is not a time
in which we should fear,

this message should
not spark anxiety or worry,

but certainly
bring about an awakening

in which she was
shown that God's people

would endure and
experience a shaking,

a shaking that
would dramatically

change the church as we know it,

that would determine

whether or not you
are a genuine believer

or a non-genuine believer.

of the shaking that I had seen,

caused by the straight testimony

counsel of the True Witness

to the Laodiceans.

This will have its effect
upon the heart of the receiver,

and will lead him
to exalt the standard

and pour forth
the straight truth.

Some will not bear
this straight testimony.

asking why such a message

living in dealing with the virus

and the diseases
and all of the plagues

everything that seems

to be going on
around us at the moment,

why warning such as this,
but I believe, my friends,

with all my heart that
while the devil has gripped

many hearts and fear, anxiety,

and worry about such diseases

where there was
a greater disease

that we must be worried about,

not necessarily,
but certainly concerned,

a greater disease,
a greater infection,

a greater viral contagion,

that we all have
been affected by.

And, of course,
Jesus wants to give us

deliverance from
in these last days.

We know this to be sin.

We know this to be the one thing

that separates us from God.

question in these last days

spirit of fear, anxiety,

This message is
indeed to Laodicea

the last Church
Age of this earth.

This is to us.

We are that
these last generations

that live on this planet.
00:20:53.75\00:20:55.08
No other generation before us

has been able to see

and experience
what we are seeing

and experiencing, my friends.

We are indeed
living an interesting

and complicated
challenging times,

but again, we look
to God for our answers.

when you consider this

because as I think through this,

and I ask myself, Lord,

why is it that
you would rather us

be cold or hot perhaps maybe

you would prefer
us to be hot or cold,

but He says, "No,

one or the other I
can work with that."

And if you really consider that,

day and it makes perfect sense.

You see, when a person is

cooler. They're uncomfortable.

receive assistance from someone

because we are in
need of something.

being in a cold state.

the straight testimony

called forth by the counsel

of the True
Witness to the Laodiceans."

Now I was
baffled when I saw this

because essentially

what she's
saying is this last day,

great shaking, that is
gonna shake the church,

that is going to bring
about a great awakening,

it's gonna be brought to us that

the cause of this is
going to be the message

given by Jesus to
Laodicea in His counsel.

And so when you go

Jesus does indeed
give us a counsel.

It's the solution to our virus.

true godly faith,
the faith of Jesus.

And we look at our
next point of counsel,

Notice the second point,

the next thing He wants
us to purchase from Him.

He says, "And white garments,
that you may be clothed,

that the shame of your nakedness

may not be revealed."

This is powerful. He
wants us to buy a garment.

He wants us to purchase

not just any
old kind of garment,

but a special white garment.

with the robe of righteousness."

So notice, that white garment
is a robe of righteousness.

Now many of us as Christians,
we know these things.

It's like, "Oh,
that makes sense.

I've heard that connection,

that symbolic

But notice how Jesus
is counseling Laodicea

in the sick state that they are

and what did Mrs. White say?

counsel would bring about

a shaking among God's people.

So there's something
about that faith of Jesus.

about this white garment

that is going to
bring about a shaking

be able to stand firm

the first century AD,

now, and while we know

we're living in this
last Church Age of Laodicea,

there was actually truthfully
and literal ancient city
00:33:54.56\00:33:58.03
called Laodicea
over in Asia Minor
00:33:58.07\00:34:00.10
in the Middle East.
00:34:00.14\00:34:01.50
And it's very
interesting to note that

back in those days
when Jesus would have
00:34:03.94\00:34:06.47
given this
counsel to John, Laodicea,
00:34:06.51\00:34:08.71
the city of
Laodicea was famously
00:34:08.74\00:34:11.65
known for their
medical breakthroughs
00:34:11.68\00:34:13.55
and their medical sciences,
00:34:13.58\00:34:14.92
and their medical
schools, and hospitals.
00:34:14.95\00:34:17.92
And one of the things
that they were most famously
00:34:17.95\00:34:19.92
known for was their
famous medical eyesalve.
00:34:19.95\00:34:24.23
And so ironic as it
is, Jesus would tell them,

you need to put
some of your own eyesalve

on that while you think
00:34:30.40\00:34:32.37
that you are
ahead of your times,

while you think you
are in need of nothing.

answers within your grasp.

the king of Israel

of the Syrian armies.

And it's
powerful to consider that

the Syrian armies
find out that Elisha
00:36:12.43\00:36:14.57
has been given special counsel
and understanding to the king
00:36:14.60\00:36:19.34
about their whereabouts.
00:36:19.37\00:36:20.71
And so they finally
send an army after him.
00:36:20.74\00:36:22.54
And of course,
one of his servants,
00:36:22.58\00:36:24.68
that's Elisha's servants

gets up one
morning walks outside

and he sees all of these
Syrian armies round about.

And it's interesting that
he comes back in and says,

we're locked in, we're
closed in on all sides.

We're done for, and of course,
Elisha says, "Hey, don't worry.

There's more of us
than there are of them."

And Elisha it says here
in 2 Kings 6:17, it says,

"And Elisha
prayed, and said, 'Lord,

needs to be our prayer today.

within the hearts

causing them to look
to the earthly things,

causing them to go
about finding answers

in the grocery stores
and in the doctor's offices

and in the
hospitals, when in reality,

we simply need to
be praying out, Lord,

open my eyes that I may see.

see their condition

Lord during these times.

and you consider the counsel.

because we've heard so
many sermons on Laodicea

and the lukewarm
church, the hot or cold church,

but nonetheless,
when we read this counsel,

there is something
within this counsel

that Jesus is saying, wake up.

Allow me to awaken you.

Allow me to stir your heart,

so that I can come in
and make a permanent change.

Faith of Jesus,

I counsel you to buy from

in these last days.

If any minister in
these last days exercises

in any manner,
it's looked down upon,

but yet, that's exactly
what the Bible tells us.

spiritually complacent state,

bear this straight testimony,

that growing up in school

about our communities.

It's just a
natural response of people

that when we are doing
drills for such an earthquake,

we are preparing
for such an earthquake,

which, of course,
how do you really prepare

for an earthquake, right?

It's not like
there's much of a warning

or many signs, it kind
of strikes immediately,

and then you're just
kind of in the situation,

have to be prepared

when an earthquake
happens, what are we told to do

in the moments of an earthquake?

We are told to take shelter.

And we during
this time of shaking,

quake that has come upon us,

we also have the same counsel,

to be taking shelter.

And so you might ask,
where do we take shelter?

Well, obviously this
is a spiritual message.

can go hide ourselves

So we place

the signs of the times
that Jesus warned us off

pestilences and

that would take place

these things occurring,

Jesus' says, "Hey,

that My coming is soon.

That My coming is
even at the door."
