Jesus still has not come... 00:54 I have been researching some of the counsels 00:59 from Sister White... 01:00 I can really be blessed if you'd share that with me 01:04 it's very hard to read... "For 40 years... the unbelief, 01:10 murmuring and rebellion shut out ancient Israel 01:15 from the Land of Canaan... in neither case... 01:19 were the promises of God at fault... 01:21 it is the unbelief, the worldliness, un-consecration 01:25 and strife among the Lord's professed people 01:29 that have kept us in this world of sin and sorrow 01:32 for so many years... " 01:33 Well the servant of the Lord 01:35 is straight forward 01:37 concerning God's people... unbelief, worldliness, 01:42 un-consecration and strife... this delay... is our fault... 01:48 well... my fault... 01:52 It is... let me share something I found that she wrote 01:56 just 36 months ago, this one's really kind of 02:01 shocking especially to me since it's during my term in office... 02:04 "Had the Church of Christ done her appointed work... 02:09 as the Lord ordained... the whole world 02:13 would have been warned... 02:15 the Lord Jesus would have come 02:19 to earth in power and great glory... " 02:22 She wrote that 36 months ago during my term as President... 02:27 It is our fault... we have let God down, my Brother 02:35 we as leaders... have let God down... 02:39 we must humble ourselves... 02:42 we must become living examples of what a leader could be 02:47 when Jesus is in his heart... I don't even know how to 02:53 pray it anymore... how can we beg God to shake away 02:59 this Laodicean slumber? 03:03 I could not agree more... I have been experiencing 03:08 the same burden of heart as I perceive you are... 03:13 let's seek God's help right now... 03:18 Together... together... oh my brother 03:21 "Lord of glory... you have been ready to come 03:27 for so very long time... and yet You 03:31 have been waiting for us please... forgive us... 03:36 and help us as Leaders... to surrender all of self to you" 03:42 "Yes Lord... you know this sin lies 03:45 at our door... change us... help us... die the death of self 03:51 and live in You... please take our lives today. " 04:00 Brother Butler... I feel that the Lord is going to do 04:08 something wonderful among us, 04:10 I'm looking forward to this session... 04:12 for months now... He has been speaking to my heart 04:15 through my private sessions of study and prayer... 04:18 I couldn't agree with you more Brother Haskell... 04:21 I sense His leading in my life, He's been revealing to me 04:27 that although I believed I was humble... 04:30 it's not the case... I have been very arrogant... 04:33 He's leading me to die a greater death to self 04:36 than ever before... I cannot explain it... 04:39 but I know... that I must change dramatically... 04:43 Congregation singing... Worthy the Lamb... 04:52 for He was slain... 04:59 walking to the pulpit 05:11 Please join with me as I read a portion of Psalm 106 05:16 "We have sinned with our fathers, 05:22 we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly. 05:26 Our Fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; 05:30 they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; 05:34 but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red Sea. 05:39 Nevertheless... He saved them for His name's sake, 05:44 that He might make His mighty power to be known. 05:48 They soon forgot His works... they waited not for His counsel, 05:54 but murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice 06:00 of the Lord. 06:02 Save us, O LORD our God, 06:08 and gather us from among the heathen, 06:11 to give thanks unto thy holy Name, 06:14 and to triumph in thy praise. Blessed be the LORD God 06:20 of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: 06:24 and let all the people say, Amen. 06:28 "Praise ye the Lord. " 06:43 Fellow believers... please join me 06:46 as we kneel for prayer... 07:01 Lord, how desperately we need you... 07:04 we cannot continue as we have... 07:07 we must learn humility before you... 07:10 teach us humility I pray... 07:12 help us die to self and surrender all to thee... 07:17 let us be led as little children by thy hand... 07:21 walk among us in these meetings... 07:24 help us put away all strife among us... 07:27 O Holy Father... we pray for a manifestation 07:33 of thy power... we ask thee to forgive our sins, 07:36 our neglect to follow as we should have in the past... 07:41 Lord, help us to follow in thine opening providence 07:45 and understand the mind of thy Spirit... 07:48 in Jesus' name come quickly... 07:52 Amen... Amen... 08:05 The time has come for the opening 08:08 of the General Conference the 34th Session of this body... 08:13 I believe... this Conference... will be the most important 08:19 ever held... by the Seventh-day Adventist people 08:23 Amen... in light of the Scripture 08:26 reading... I believe that it is essential 08:30 for each of us... to call on God for forgiveness 08:36 and to seek for the powerful presence 08:42 of the indwelling Holy Spirit in our lives... 08:47 please... today... seek God with all your being... 08:55 confess sins one to another... and may we... 09:02 during this Conference discover oneness of heart... 09:09 may this Conference... be a time when we can truly 09:16 be woven together... in His grace... 09:30 The light given me is that this people should stand 09:35 higher than any other people on the face of the earth... 09:39 we should be a loyal people, a people who will 09:46 rightly represent the truth, the sanctifying power 09:52 of the truth... revealed in our lives... 09:56 will distinguish us from the world... 10:00 we should stand in moral dignity... 10:05 having such a close connection to heaven... 10:10 that the Lord God of Israel can give us a place 10:14 in the earth... year after year... 10:20 the same acknowledgement has been made... 10:24 but the principles 10:26 which exalt a people 10:28 have not been woven into the work... 10:31 God has given us clear light as to what we should do 10:39 and what we should not do... 10:43 but we have departed 10:46 from that light... and it is a marvel to me... 10:49 that we stand in as much prosperity 10:53 as we do today... it is because 10:57 of the great mercy of our God... 11:00 not because of our righteousness but that His name 11:06 should not be dishonored in the world... 11:11 The Word of God should be our guide... 11:15 have you given heed to the Word? 11:19 My writing should in no way take the place of the Bible 11:26 they are to bring you to that neglected Word... 11:29 that you may eat the words of Christ 11:32 that you may feed upon them... that by living faith 11:37 you might be built up upon that which you feed... 11:42 if you live in obedience to Christ's Word... 11:47 you are eating the leaves of the tree of life... 11:51 that are for the healing of the Nations 11:56 let us... right here... at this meeting... 12:01 see that the converting power of God is essential 12:06 if we take hold of the Master... 12:11 take hold of all the power He has given us... 12:15 the salvation of God will be revealed... 12:20 Amen... 12:28 In the past... in the past... 12:32 I have not been in union with some of you... 12:36 and today... I see myself more and more 12:40 as God must see me... for in His Word... 12:45 let's read together... 12:48 "Because thou sayest I am rich, 12:51 and increased with goods, 12:53 and have need of nothing;" 12:56 Oh my! in my self-sufficiency... 13:01 I have been just like that... 13:05 "and knowest not 13:08 that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, 13:12 and blind, and naked:" I now see that this is my 13:18 condition... not someone else's but mine... 13:22 my eyes... my eyes are being opened... 13:28 my spirit has been harsh, it has been unjust... 13:35 and I have thought myself righteous... 13:38 and yet... today... my heart is breaking... 13:43 for I sense that I am desperately in need 13:46 of the counsel of the one who has searched me, listen... 13:51 "I counsel thee to buy of me 13:56 gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; 14:00 in white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, 14:04 and that the shame of thy nakedness 14:08 do not appear; and anoint thine eyes 14:10 with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. " 14:17 My Brother... please forgive me, I have made of your life 14:26 a living hell... 14:35 I have been arrogant... it is my fault as well... 14:40 please forgive me... 14:52 Brothers and Sisters... we have received a great light 14:57 from the Lord... it is time... we believe 15:00 and walk in that light... Amen... 15:05 we have something to do... 15:09 we must repent of our sins... and humble our hearts 15:16 before God... I have found it difficult... 15:21 as a leader... to detach from the clutches 15:26 of the world... and to get rid of self... 15:33 with so many eyes upon me I know I must 15:41 please forgive my angry words my actions against you... 15:48 I do forgive you... but it is not just you... 15:55 it has been me... my self-seeking... 16:01 I tried to influence others against you... 16:05 can you ever forgive me? 16:08 We are brothers... united in Christ... 16:13 the answer is "yes" yes... 16:17 Amen... 16:30 I must ask forgiveness of you... 16:32 I am so very sorry... you are my brother... 16:37 but I have not loved you as my own flesh and blood 16:40 I must ask God to give me the love for you 16:44 that I profess for Christ... Amen... 16:49 And I... I must fall in line with God's will 16:55 and calling... forgive me my Brother 16:59 for talking behind in committee and behind your back 17:05 I cannot love Christ 17:08 if I don't love you... 17:11 I'm so sorry my brother... I'm so sorry... 17:15 Amen... Blest be the tie that binds 17:24 our hearts in Christian love, 17:31 the fellowship of kindred minds 17:38 is like to that above... 17:52 Ellen... Ellen... 18:00 Where am I? You are in a vision... 18:09 the Lord wanted to show you what might have been... 18:13 what might... have happened at the General Conference Session 18:18 What I saw wasn't real? I'm afraid not... 18:25 the Father was ready to pour out His spirit upon the assembly... 18:30 and finish the work in this world and cut it short 18:34 in righteousness... but the delegates would not 18:37 humble themselves... had they... in humility of soul 18:42 led out in the work of confessing and consecration 18:46 giving evidence that they had received 18:48 the counsels and warnings sent by the Lord 18:51 to correct their mistakes... 18:52 there would have been one of the greatest revivals 18:56 that there has been since the day of Pentecost... 19:01 It never happened... 19:18 Ellen White was heartbroken... because I revealed to her 19:21 that within the past history 19:22 of the Seventh-day Adventist Church 19:24 God was ready to return to earth and take His children home... 19:28 ending this long night of strife and sadness... 19:31 but like Israel of old... you refused to enter Canaan... 19:38 you would not follow after God and trust in Him... 19:41 you became a rebellious people... 19:44 the Lord's messenger has been witness 19:47 to the glory of heaven and has experienced the joy 19:50 of walking with Jesus, this... is why 19:53 her heart was broken... 20:09 The Angel said of the vision... it was what "might have been" 20:14 Ellen White said of the delegates in that meeting... 20:19 "Had they in humility of soul, led out in the work of 20:23 confession and consecration, giving evidence 20:26 that they received the counsels and warnings 20:28 sent by the Lord to correct their mistakes 20:31 there would have been one of the greatest 20:34 revivals that there has been since the day of Pentecost... 20:38 but the work that all heaven was waiting to do... 20:42 as soon as men prepared the way, was not done... 20:47 for the Leaders in there were and closed and bolted the door 20:51 against the Spirit's entrance, there was a stopping short 20:56 of entire surrender to God, 20:59 if we cooperate with God, and humble ourselves... 21:03 standing upon the heavenly shores will soon 21:07 become a reality... I've been a Pastor, 21:10 Teacher and Administrator throughout my career, 21:14 I'm retiring this year and I want to go home... 21:18 not to an earthly home... but to our eternal home... 21:23 the Lord is waiting with open arms... 21:26 for us to surrender every bit of self... 21:29 but even surrender is impossible 21:32 without God's help and strength... 21:34 please join me... in praying this prayer... 21:39 "Lord, make me willing to be made willing... " 21:44 if asked in sincerity... God will answer you... 21:49 and the results will reach to eternity... 21:53 Brothers and Sisters... in this world... 21:56 the Promise Land is waiting, let's go home... 22:02 I, like Dr. Schoun, 22:06 am retiring this year... 22:08 and I thought that I will see Jesus come 22:11 before now... but like Israel of old... 22:13 we have become attached to this world... 22:16 yes... I'm not immune either we sing the song, 22:21 "Turn your eyes upon Jesus and look full 22:25 in His wonderful face... and the things of earth 22:29 will grow strangely dim... in the light of His 22:32 glory and grace... " Brothers and Sisters... 22:36 it is time to put into practice what we sing... 22:40 please... join with me... and all of God's people 22:44 around the world... and behold Him 22:46 our strength and power, the One who can change 22:51 and transform us... then... what might have been 22:56 can be... 22:58 Our pathway home has been made very plain... 23:02 someone once said, "It only took God 23:05 one night to take Israel out of Egypt 23:07 but it took 40 years to get Egypt out of Israel... " 23:12 we must allow God to separate us from this world 23:16 and all it pretends to offer... 23:19 Far too many of us are dying in the desert 23:22 of this sin-choked world... 23:25 now the key to victory for Israel was humility 23:29 and 100 percent trust in God... the same holds true 23:34 for us today... one of Ellen White's prayers 23:37 found in Christ's Object Lessons page 159... 23:41 has been stirring my heart for some time... 23:44 allow me to share it with you... "Lord, take my heart... 23:50 for I cannot give it... it is thy property... 23:55 keep it pure... for I cannot keep it for thee... 23:59 save me in spite of myself... my weak un-Christ-like self... 24:06 mold me... fashion me... 24:09 raise me into a pure 24:12 and holy atmosphere where the rich current 24:16 of thy love... can flow through my soul... " 24:20 My friends... I desperately want to change 24:24 and become what God wants me to become... 24:28 and I know you do too... 24:30 this is a prayer God will answer... 24:33 and I invite you to make it your prayer as well... 24:37 Let's join together and plead with God 24:41 to make us willing to be made willing... 24:45 We need to make this our very first work each day 24:50 if we humble ourselves and seek oneness... 24:53 with our fellow church members and workers... 24:56 as God revealed to Ellen White, 24:59 He will fill us with the Holy Spirit, 25:02 the Loud Cry will radiate to the world 25:06 and very soon... Jesus Christ will come... 25:09 that is His plan... it is within our very grasp 25:15 we choose our destiny... we can look back 25:19 at what might have been or we can choose 25:25 what will be... let us go forward boldly 25:30 in Jesus Christ... 25:33 Some of you may not have been aware of Ellen White's 25:37 vision... given by the Angel, it is exciting and disconcerting 25:43 at the same time... just think... 25:45 our Lord was ready to come in our past... 25:48 to break us free from the clutches of the devil, 25:51 and to take us home... and we failed... 25:55 God will never force anyone against their will 25:59 to face the giants of Canaan... I am urging you 26:02 to lift up every Church Leader to God in prayer... 26:06 especially... those who will be in attendance 26:09 at the upcoming General Conference Session 26:12 in San Antonio, Texas... according to God's prophetic 26:16 voice... I believe that this session can become the 26:20 launching pad toward eternity, for God's people... 26:24 you and me... but your prayers will be 26:29 the fuel... the power... to start the engine... 26:32 please pray as you have never prayed before... 26:36 for revival and reformation in the Seventh-day Adventist Church 26:40 pray every day... for yourself... 26:43 your families, your pastors and Conference Leaders, 26:47 make a list of their names and ask God 26:51 to give them a heart bathed in the Holy Spirit... 26:55 Thank you for your prayerful intervention and participation 27:03 in what may be the most important moment 27:07 in our Church history... because... |
