What if someone was willing to do the time 00:00:01.36\00:00:02.70 for the crime that you committed? 00:00:02.73\00:00:04.27 Would you be loyal to them? 00:00:04.30\00:00:05.93 Stay tuned to learn about the death row volunteer. 00:00:05.97\00:00:09.30 They try to change us from the outside in, 00:00:13.98\00:00:16.31 and that's never going to work. 00:00:16.34\00:00:19.65 Because I know that no matter 00:00:19.68\00:00:21.05 how hard and cold the exterior may seem, 00:00:21.08\00:00:24.62 I know that inside we hurt. 00:00:24.65\00:00:27.79 So we just want to come and share some hope with you 00:00:27.82\00:00:30.66 and let you know that we love you, 00:00:30.69\00:00:32.56 and that Jesus loves you 00:00:32.59\00:00:35.06 beyond anybody in this world. 00:00:35.10\00:00:39.03 I'm not here today to judge you or condemn you, 00:00:39.07\00:00:41.04 we're today to tell you that we love you 00:00:41.07\00:00:42.70 and we understand the situation that you're in. 00:00:42.74\00:00:45.51 Hello. 00:00:52.28\00:00:53.62 I'm Jason Bradley, just want to thank you 00:00:53.65\00:00:55.02 for joining us once again as you always do. 00:00:55.05\00:00:57.49 I'm here with my brother Lemuel Vega, 00:00:57.52\00:00:59.62 my brother in Christ. 00:00:59.65\00:01:00.99 Lemuel, we've experienced a lot together behind bars. 00:01:01.02\00:01:04.43 We get out the same day. 00:01:04.46\00:01:06.26 But we've been able to minister quite often behind bars. 00:01:06.29\00:01:09.93 But you're still getting packages into prison. 00:01:09.96\00:01:11.60 Thousands and thousands of packages. 00:01:11.63\00:01:13.94 You want to talk a little bit about that death row volunteer? 00:01:13.97\00:01:16.54 Oh, absolutely. 00:01:16.57\00:01:17.91 You know, we've all been handed down 00:01:17.94\00:01:19.84 a death sentence as the human race. 00:01:19.87\00:01:21.68 Amen. 00:01:21.71\00:01:23.04 You know, once sin entered the world, 00:01:23.08\00:01:25.41 we entered into that death sentence. 00:01:25.45\00:01:27.72 But thank God 00:01:27.75\00:01:29.08 that he sent His only begotten Son to die for us. 00:01:29.12\00:01:31.75 His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, 00:01:31.79\00:01:33.66 to die on the cross for our sins, 00:01:33.69\00:01:37.46 so that we could have a shot at eternal life. 00:01:37.49\00:01:39.43 Amen. 00:01:39.46\00:01:40.80 It's a promise. 00:01:40.83\00:01:42.16 It's a promise. 00:01:42.20\00:01:43.53 It says in John 3:16, it says, 00:01:43.57\00:01:45.63 "For God so loved the world's humanity 00:01:45.67\00:01:50.01 that He gave His only begotten Son, 00:01:50.04\00:01:53.91 the death row volunteer, 00:01:53.94\00:01:55.88 that whosoever," I love this brother, 00:01:55.91\00:01:57.98 "whosoever," every nation, color, 00:01:58.01\00:02:00.62 kindred, tongue, people, that's inclusive. 00:02:00.65\00:02:04.02 "For God so loved the world 00:02:04.05\00:02:05.59 that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever," 00:02:05.62\00:02:08.56 that's all of humanity, that whosoever what? 00:02:08.59\00:02:11.99 Believe. 00:02:12.03\00:02:13.36 "Believeth in Him should not perish, 00:02:13.40\00:02:17.27 but have everlasting life." 00:02:17.30\00:02:20.44 And the beauty of the gospel is this, 00:02:20.47\00:02:23.10 "For God sent not His son into the world to..." 00:02:23.14\00:02:27.98 To condemn the world. 00:02:28.01\00:02:29.34 "Condemn the world." 00:02:29.38\00:02:30.75 What condemns us? 00:02:30.78\00:02:32.65 Sin. 00:02:32.68\00:02:34.02 We're born with this handicap called sin. 00:02:34.05\00:02:35.55 So it's sin that condemns us, 00:02:35.58\00:02:37.22 it separates us from our heavenly Father, 00:02:37.25\00:02:39.59 so God sent His only begotten Son, 00:02:39.62\00:02:41.92 death row volunteer, I love that, into the world, 00:02:41.96\00:02:46.09 but that the world through Him, 00:02:46.13\00:02:49.76 death row volunteer, might be saved. 00:02:49.80\00:02:52.27 Yes. 00:02:52.30\00:02:53.64 What is sin? 00:02:53.67\00:02:55.00 Transgression of God's law. 00:02:55.04\00:02:56.74 God's love letter to humanity. 00:02:56.77\00:02:58.64 He wants us, He beckons us, 00:02:58.67\00:03:00.11 He woos us to follow Him 00:03:00.14\00:03:01.81 in His transgression of the law. 00:03:01.84\00:03:04.25 There's an analogy that I've used, 00:03:04.28\00:03:06.28 we've used in the past 00:03:06.31\00:03:07.65 and we actually have a volunteer, 00:03:07.68\00:03:09.02 a group of inmates to come up, but let's talk about sin. 00:03:09.05\00:03:14.26 Let's talk about the variations of sin. 00:03:14.29\00:03:16.06 Okay. 00:03:16.09\00:03:18.59 Now, so what do we... We have sheets here. 00:03:18.63\00:03:21.56 We have sheets. 00:03:21.60\00:03:22.93 We have three sheets, we have three different colored sheets. 00:03:22.96\00:03:25.13 We'll go and put that one up there 00:03:25.17\00:03:27.70 and then I'll hang this one up there 00:03:27.74\00:03:29.27 and this is to represent the degradation of sin. 00:03:29.30\00:03:33.24 So in our world today, we rate sin, 00:03:33.27\00:03:36.14 if you do something really bad, 00:03:36.18\00:03:37.58 you go to prison, you go to death row. 00:03:37.61\00:03:40.25 If you didn't do something so bad, 00:03:40.28\00:03:41.92 you're just drunk driving, 00:03:41.95\00:03:43.79 then you go to jail just for a little bit 00:03:43.82\00:03:46.39 or you get some called probation or something. 00:03:46.42\00:03:48.42 So in our world we vary in sin, 00:03:48.46\00:03:50.73 we give it different names, different meanings. 00:03:50.76\00:03:52.99 But, Jason, if you were going to say that one of these, 00:03:53.03\00:03:56.83 these all represent sin, 00:03:56.87\00:03:58.20 if you were to say that one of these is worse than another, 00:03:58.23\00:04:01.54 which one would be the worse? 00:04:01.57\00:04:03.94 You know, that's a hard thing 00:04:03.97\00:04:05.57 because the wages of sin is death. 00:04:05.61\00:04:07.08 Amen. 00:04:07.11\00:04:08.44 So all of them are the same. 00:04:08.48\00:04:10.45 If we look at Romans 6:23, it say, 00:04:10.48\00:04:13.08 "For the wages of sin is death, 00:04:13.11\00:04:15.22 but the gift of God is eternal life 00:04:15.25\00:04:18.15 in Christ Jesus our Lord." 00:04:18.19\00:04:20.16 So whether it's the individual 00:04:20.19\00:04:21.52 that kills somebody and is on death row perhaps 00:04:21.56\00:04:23.63 or whether it's somebody that's just robbed a bank 00:04:23.66\00:04:26.13 or robbed a Brink's truck or whatever 00:04:26.16\00:04:27.90 or whether it's a white collar person 00:04:27.93\00:04:30.20 that their life is perhaps and they think it's not so bad. 00:04:30.23\00:04:34.04 Society might say, "This is the worst." 00:04:34.07\00:04:37.41 Or, "This might be second. 00:04:37.44\00:04:38.77 This might be third." But you know what, Brother? 00:04:38.81\00:04:40.68 The Word of God said that... 00:04:40.71\00:04:42.41 "The wages of sin are death." 00:04:42.44\00:04:44.25 Is death. 00:04:44.28\00:04:45.61 Yeah. 00:04:45.65\00:04:46.98 And the volunteer, the willing volunteer, 00:04:47.02\00:04:49.48 death row volunteer. 00:04:49.52\00:04:50.85 Death row volunteer, yes. 00:04:50.89\00:04:52.42 Now, I want to share something with you though too 00:04:52.45\00:04:55.59 because it says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, 00:04:55.62\00:04:59.33 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, 00:04:59.36\00:05:01.50 he is a new creation, old things have passed away, 00:05:01.53\00:05:05.17 behold, old things have become new." 00:05:05.20\00:05:07.80 So there's hope. 00:05:07.84\00:05:09.17 There's a transformation. 00:05:09.20\00:05:10.54 There's a transformation. 00:05:10.57\00:05:11.91 How did that transformation take place? 00:05:11.94\00:05:13.27 'Cause we got a lot of problems right here. 00:05:13.31\00:05:14.64 Oh, we have a lot of problems, 00:05:14.68\00:05:16.01 but we also have the problem solver. 00:05:16.04\00:05:18.08 And the problem solver upon the cross of Calvary 00:05:18.11\00:05:21.95 brought humanity back. 00:05:21.98\00:05:24.59 Yes. 00:05:24.62\00:05:25.95 That whosoever... 00:05:25.99\00:05:27.32 Believeth in him shall not perish. 00:05:27.36\00:05:30.83 Shall not perish. 00:05:30.86\00:05:32.19 But have everlasting life. 00:05:32.23\00:05:34.56 So He cleanses at the cross of Calvary, 00:05:34.60\00:05:37.70 that's the beginning point for all of humanity. 00:05:37.73\00:05:39.97 Mm-hmm.
