00:03:54.93\00:03:57.07 So that is a form of sacrificial giving. 00:03:57.10\00:03:59.23 He gave up his bag 00:03:59.27\00:04:01.84 and then that Muslim man thanked the Christians 00:04:01.87\00:04:05.67 and the Christian's God, our God. 00:04:05.71\00:04:08.88 And our heavenly Father gave up His only begotten Son Jesus, 00:04:08.91\00:04:11.61 to die upon the cross of Calvary 00:04:11.65\00:04:13.72 that we have the opportunity to proclaim the gospel. 00:04:13.75\00:04:16.18 Today we have some food here, 00:04:16.22\00:04:17.59 this is a little podium, makeshift podium. 00:04:17.62\00:04:19.12 Our prison podium? 00:04:19.15\00:04:20.49 Prison podium. 00:04:20.52\00:04:21.86 All right. 00:04:21.89\00:04:23.22 And we got some things here 00:04:23.26\00:04:24.59 and I'd like to talk about the apples. 00:04:24.63\00:04:25.96 Okay. 00:04:25.99\00:04:27.33 Is there a scripture that would tie in with that? 00:04:27.36\00:04:29.00 I think there is. 00:04:29.03\00:04:30.37 I think we can find one right here in Psalm Chapter 34:8. 00:04:30.40\00:04:34.70 "O taste and see that the Lord is good: 00:04:34.74\00:04:37.61 blessed is the man who trusts in him. 00:04:37.64\00:04:41.11 O taste and see that the Lord is good." 00:04:41.14\00:04:46.01 You know, I have something in my hand 00:04:46.05\00:04:48.95 and I'm going to ask the audience what this is. 00:04:48.98\00:04:51.52 What is this here? 00:04:51.55\00:04:52.89 I mean, if you look at this, what would you think this is? 00:04:52.92\00:04:55.12 You perceive this is something. 00:04:55.16\00:04:58.03 Brother, I'm gonna ask you... I'm going to give this to you 00:04:58.06\00:05:00.13 and I'd like you to tell our audience 00:05:00.16\00:05:01.96 and tell me what that is? 00:05:02.00\00:05:04.20 It's an apple. 00:05:04.23\00:05:06.40 You can tell by the way it looks, 00:05:06.43\00:05:08.47 by the way it smells. 00:05:08.50\00:05:09.84 Okay. 00:05:09.87\00:05:11.21 It looks and smells like an apple. 00:05:11.24\00:05:12.57 Okay. 00:05:12.61\00:05:13.94 Well, you think that's an apple. 00:05:13.98\00:05:15.31 There's a lot of fake things in the world today, 00:05:15.34\00:05:16.68 they got plastic apples all, what is that? 00:05:16.71\00:05:18.05 Well, that's another apple, the different kind. 00:05:18.08\00:05:20.35 Another apple. 00:05:20.38\00:05:21.72 Again, it looks like an apple. 00:05:21.75\00:05:23.28 It looks like an apple, but until we do, 00:05:23.32\00:05:26.12 so what was the scripture, Brother? 00:05:26.15\00:05:27.76 O taste and see that the Lord is good. 00:05:27.79\00:05:30.53 How can we tell whether this really an apple or not? 00:05:30.56\00:05:32.39 If you taste it. 00:05:32.43\00:05:33.76 Taste it. 00:05:33.80\00:05:35.13 How's it taste? 00:05:37.70\00:05:39.03 Man, that is a good apple and that is sweet. 00:05:39.07\00:05:43.07 What I like to tell the world today, 00:05:43.10\00:05:47.78 we need to taste and see that God is really good 00:05:47.81\00:05:52.78 and as we begin to experience of who He is in our lives, 00:05:52.81\00:05:57.22 we begin to find comfort, peace, hope. 00:05:57.25\00:06:00.79 You have an apple. 00:06:00.82\00:06:02.46 I hope you enjoy your apple. 00:06:02.49\00:06:03.83 Thank you. 00:06:03.86\00:06:05.19 You're very welcome. 00:06:05.23\00:06:06.56 Oh, you've got another apple. 00:06:06.59\00:06:07.93 Thank you very much. 00:06:07.96\00:06:09.30 Nice. Nice. 00:06:09.33\00:06:10.67 Brother, what would you say about the tasting aspect, 00:06:10.70\00:06:12.47 about a relationship with Jesus? 00:06:12.50\00:06:14.07 What would you share with the world 00:06:14.10\00:06:16.20 about how that became real in your life 00:06:16.24\00:06:19.24 and promise them wherever they are on this spectrum 00:06:19.27\00:06:21.41 that there's hope for their life 00:06:21.44\00:06:22.78 if they continue on? 00:06:22.81\00:06:24.15 I would say that a relationship with Christ 00:06:24.18\00:06:25.85 is the most important, most impactful relationship 00:06:25.88\00:06:29.08 that a human being could ever have. 00:06:29.12\00:06:31.49 You know, I like to eat, right? 00:06:31.52\00:06:33.79 So I love food, 00:06:33.82\00:06:35.16 but I don't just want to watch people eat, 00:06:35.19\00:06:37.43 I don't want to... Have it. 00:06:37.46\00:06:38.79 No. 00:06:38.83\00:06:41.23 But I don't want to just watch people eat, right? 00:06:41.26\00:06:43.90 I want to partake of that myself. 00:06:43.93\00:06:46.13 Amen. 00:06:46.17\00:06:47.50 So when I hear about what God has done for the human race, 00:06:47.54\00:06:51.67 how Jesus came and died on the cross for us 00:06:51.71\00:06:55.34 that while we were yet sinners, 00:06:55.38\00:06:57.15 like, He still came and died for us. 00:06:57.18\00:06:59.28 If it were just you, 00:06:59.31\00:07:00.65 He would have died for just you. 00:07:00.68\00:07:02.02 Amen. 00:07:02.05\00:07:03.39 If it were just me, He would have died for just me. 00:07:03.42\00:07:04.75 And if it were you at home, 00:07:04.79\00:07:06.12 He would have died for just you. 00:07:06.15\00:07:07.49 And I think that is one of the most powerful things, 00:07:07.52\00:07:10.46 most powerful forms of love. 00:07:10.49\00:07:12.56 And so that relationship with Christ 00:07:12.59\00:07:15.50 is above all other relationships. 00:07:15.53\00:07:18.60 And He accepts us just as we are. 00:07:18.63\00:07:20.74 We don't get all polished up first. 00:07:20.77\00:07:22.80 He accepts us just as we are and then we get polished up, 00:07:22.84\00:07:26.51 cleansed up and then we're able to be a blessing and fruit 00:07:26.54\00:07:28.84 to somebody else for His kingdom. 00:07:28.88\00:07:30.21 That's right. 00:07:30.25\00:07:31.58 And He wants us to abide in Him. 00:07:31.61\00:07:32.95 Abide in Him. 00:07:32.98\00:07:34.32 Yes. 00:07:34.35\00:07:35.68 So if we go to John 15:1-2 00:07:35.72\00:07:37.59 and then we'll jump down to verse 4, it says, 00:07:37.62\00:07:39.62 "I am the true vine," this is Jesus speaking, 00:07:39.65\00:07:42.62 "and my Father is the vine dresser. 00:07:42.66\00:07:44.96 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, 00:07:44.99\00:07:47.73 He takes away, and every branch that bears fruit, 00:07:47.76\00:07:51.30 He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 00:07:51.33\00:07:55.14 Abide in Me, and I in you. 00:07:55.17\00:07:57.61 As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, 00:07:57.64\00:08:00.41 unless it abides in the vine, 00:08:00.44\00:08:02.41 neither can you unless you abide in Me." 00:08:02.44\00:08:05.45 Amen. 00:08:05.48\00:08:06.82 So it talks about the vine 00:08:06.85\00:08:08.18 and it talks about the vine as Jesus? 00:08:08.22\00:08:09.72 Yes. 00:08:09.75\00:08:11.09 So here's the vine 00:08:11.12\00:08:12.69 and so we begin to produce fruit. 00:08:12.72\00:08:14.96 You talked about something that He purges in, 00:08:14.99\00:08:17.26 He pruneth it. 00:08:17.29\00:08:18.63 He pruneth it and so as we come to Christ, 00:08:18.66\00:08:21.66 we grow with Christ, then He begins to prune things, 00:08:21.70\00:08:25.13 like a tree gets pruned 00:08:25.17\00:08:26.50 and sometimes that can be hurtful 00:08:26.53\00:08:28.04 at the time. 00:08:28.07\00:08:29.40 But the pruning process helps us 00:08:29.44\00:08:30.91 to produce more fruit. 00:08:30.94\00:08:32.27 That's right. 00:08:32.31\00:08:33.64 So as we come to Christ, we can't just say, 00:08:33.68\00:08:35.01 "Hey, I'm a Christian now and I'm going to abide alone." 00:08:35.04\00:08:37.91 He wants us to stay engrafted into the family of Christ. 00:08:37.95\00:08:40.55 Amen? 00:08:40.58\00:08:41.92 Amen. 00:08:41.95\00:08:43.28 So as far as on this journey wherever you are, 00:08:43.32\00:08:45.12 Christ wants to engraft us into the vine, 00:08:45.15\00:08:49.12 that we may have a relationship with our heavenly Father 00:08:49.16\00:08:51.49 through Jesus. 00:08:51.53\00:08:52.86 Amen? Amen. 00:08:52.89\00:08:54.23 What would you share brother in closing on this journey, 00:08:54.26\00:08:56.77 and how it's so worthwhile? 00:08:56.80\00:08:58.83 Well, I would say that, 00:08:58.87\00:09:00.20 you know, when we abide in Christ, 00:09:00.24\00:09:02.64 we have a place to put our cares, 00:09:02.67\00:09:05.74 to cast our burdens, 00:09:05.77\00:09:07.91 a person to give our anxiety to. 00:09:07.94\00:09:10.95 We don't need to worry about 00:09:10.98\00:09:12.31 what's going to happen the next day, 00:09:12.35\00:09:13.82 God provides for all of our needs. 00:09:13.85\00:09:16.25 And so He wants us to come to Him 00:09:16.28\00:09:18.72 with whatever we're going through, 00:09:18.75\00:09:20.09 with whatever we're struggling with. 00:09:20.12\00:09:21.69 You know, this is a time of isolation, 00:09:21.72\00:09:23.69 a time of loneliness, 00:09:23.73\00:09:25.06 a time of people being in quarantine 00:09:25.09\00:09:27.43 and all of these things and solitary confinement 00:09:27.46\00:09:30.70 and inmates not being able to come out and all of that. 00:09:30.73\00:09:34.70 But God still wants to speak with each and every one of us 00:09:34.74\00:09:37.87 and I think that's crucial, 00:09:37.91\00:09:39.24 especially in a time such as this. 00:09:39.27\00:09:41.11 I like what you said about abiding in Him today 00:09:41.14\00:09:44.55 and holding on to today, 00:09:44.58\00:09:46.05 'cause if we worry about cares of tomorrow. 00:09:46.08\00:09:47.45 Yeah. 00:09:47.48\00:09:48.82 If we worry about the past and the burdens of yesterday, 00:09:48.85\00:09:51.69 then we lose today and that's what we have today. 00:09:51.72\00:09:54.49 We've been granted this day 00:09:54.52\00:09:56.16 to grow in a personal relationship with Him. 00:09:56.19\00:09:57.96 This is awesome 00:09:57.99\00:09:59.33 to be able to share with our viewers 00:09:59.36\00:10:00.70 what we do do behind bars to share hope 00:10:00.73\00:10:03.33 with people that are hurting. 00:10:03.37\00:10:05.87 I grew up with alcoholic parents 00:10:05.90\00:10:08.17 and my father was in and out of our home. 00:10:08.20\00:10:11.21 But at age 16, 00:10:11.24\00:10:12.64 I started experiencing with marijuana 00:10:12.67\00:10:17.15 and then it lead into cocaine and then it lead into crack. 00:10:17.18\00:10:21.75 I ended up quitting school my senior year, 00:10:21.78\00:10:24.45 September of my senior year. 00:10:24.49\00:10:26.25 At age 26, I started doing meth. 00:10:26.29\00:10:29.79 I'm a bigger girl so I lost weight, 00:10:29.82\00:10:32.09 so it became very addictive very fast. 00:10:32.13\00:10:35.26 I've been in out of jail. 00:10:35.30\00:10:37.17 I honestly can't even tell you how many times, it's a lot. 00:10:37.20\00:10:41.27 When Christmas Behind Bars came in, 00:10:41.30\00:10:44.57 I actually was still in bed 00:10:44.61\00:10:47.18 and I just kept hearing him 00:10:47.21\00:10:51.38 talk about how God had changed his life. 00:10:51.41\00:10:54.48 And, I mean, I've never seen it, 00:10:54.52\00:10:57.72 I've never heard your story and it really gives us hope. 00:10:57.75\00:11:02.09 And I instantly had to come to my door 00:11:02.12\00:11:06.26 and I didn't want to interrupt, 00:11:06.29\00:11:07.63 so I just stood at my door and listened 00:11:07.66\00:11:09.46 and it was such an inspiring story. 00:11:09.50\00:11:12.93 This time in my incarceration, I have never been more serious 00:11:12.97\00:11:18.54 than other of my other incarcerations. 00:11:18.57\00:11:21.31 I have really just dove into the Bible, I've been, 00:11:21.34\00:11:24.95 you know, praying for the Holy Spirit 00:11:24.98\00:11:27.35 and it all started 00:11:27.38\00:11:28.72 with Christmas Behind Bars, really. 00:11:28.75\00:11:32.05 So your story was really amazing 00:11:32.09\00:11:34.79 and then the gifts was awesome too, so thank you. 00:11:34.82\00:11:40.16 How have you seen it make an impact? 00:11:40.20\00:11:43.00 Maybe share another story 00:11:43.03\00:11:44.93 about a life that has been touched? 00:11:44.97\00:11:46.53 You know, there was this lady, she was in the county jail 00:11:46.57\00:11:50.04 and she'd gotten arrested. 00:11:50.07\00:11:51.64 And so she's in the jail just like we are today 00:11:51.67\00:11:54.64 and she got arrested 00:11:54.68\00:11:56.01 and someone told her about the Sabbath. 00:11:56.04\00:11:58.88 Someone told her about the Sabbath, said, 00:11:58.91\00:12:00.25 hey, you know, da-da-da, da-da. 00:12:00.28\00:12:01.82 She's like, "Oh, wow." 00:12:01.85\00:12:03.18 Okay, I don't know if first she heard that. 00:12:03.22\00:12:04.55 But she'd gotten into some trouble 00:12:04.59\00:12:05.99 and then they put her in solitary confinement. 00:12:06.02\00:12:08.36 Cell by yourself, no contact with nobody else, 00:12:08.39\00:12:11.09 and lo and behold brother, you know what?
