When I was just the
tender age of three months old,

my mom left me at a babysitter

and that's where I
became familiar with the Lord

because the lady
who was raising me

was a Seventh-day
Adventist Christian,

and that began to mold
and shape my background.

My sister was also raised there.

She was three years old
and I was three months old

when we experienced
abandonment as children.

But I was raised in a
home right there in Brooklyn

and at the fragile age
of 13, I left the church.

I was raised in the church.

The lady raising
me died when I was 12.

So I went out into the world
and got involved in partying,

gambling, pool hustling,
just living for the world,

not living for the Lord,
but the Lord never left me.

produced a number of years ago

So it's been
from 87 to the present

How was it that God
grabbed a hold of your life?

Well, what happened was in truly

the Lord sent a
young lady into my life,

you know, a single young man,

women have an influence in a way

that sometimes
other people can't

and we could, you
know, I went to church,

the pastor was preaching.

I would just have
come home from a party

early Saturday morning

and I would end up in church,

but I'd sleep
through the sermon.

But I met Angie
when I was 16, Angela,

and she really pulled
me back into the church.

She invited me
over for family worship.

really ignited my passion

And I found out that
when I came to the Lord,

I was trying to
hold on to the world

and still be saved.

I went to different
churches trying to figure out,

can I still be a disc jockey
and make it to the kingdom?

And I found out
the answer is no.

So one Sunday I said,

okay, Lord, I'm
going to just do this

one more time.

And that Sunday

a wedding reception,

my wife, who was my
girlfriend at the time

we were in a car and
we had a car accident.

And I knew in my mind that
if I had lost my life then,

I would have been lost.

Wow. That's all I needed.

I got rid of all my records.

Got rid of my turntables,
just gave up everything.

And that was my turning point.

I recognized, wait a minute,

this is not worth
losing my salvation over.

So that started to turn

and the turn is really
what the Lord begins to work.

The turning point
is where God says,

to go in a different direction,

through the Holy Spirit.

And so that time my
wife, you know her very well.

for family worship.

And I was still little uneasy

until one Friday night,
she introduced me to the book,

The Great Controversy

about the time of trouble

that woke me up.

Lord to forgive me

and the Great Controversy.

I was looking for people

to give Bible studies too,

the turnaround was.

the Bible taught.

the Matthew 24:14 verse

when Jesus says and
this gospel of the kingdom

shall be
preached in all the world

as a witness to all nations,

and then the end will come.

Well, people say, okay,
then what is that gospel?

talks about the
everlasting gospel

that is being proclaimed.

So this everlasting gospel

has to be a part
of that statement

When the everlasting gospel
is proclaimed to the world,

about the everlasting gospel

The judgment hour message

had not yet been fully developed

because it's a specific hour,

a time frame that
the Bible makes clear

judgment hour would begin,
