live in a spirit world.

And, I know sometimes,

you know, we may have
our little kind of qualms

or ideas or even
discomfort around

maybe the word
spiritual wellness,

but I just want
to just comfort you

because the truth is,

I had no idea
what that was myself.

I never intended to
ever be in a space like that,

but it was through prayer.

One day I was working on

my certified
prayer counselor class.

I was preparing to
launch that in 2018.

And while I was
praying for clarity on it,

I heard a whisper like
spiritual wellness coach,

like two, three times.

And I was like, what
am I doing with that?

I simply wrote down that name.

I didn't know what to
do with it for a few days.

I was on my way to Kenya,

and that was like
two days before that.

And so I was getting
ready for the airport

and I was having a
meeting with one of my coaches,

and I said to her, you know,

the Holy Spirit actually told me

and I don't know
what to do with that.

And so, and she said,

"Why don't you
check out the domains?"

And so I checked out the domain,

such a spiritual kind of world,

And so, of course, I
had to go back to God

to help me define what that is.

And, so what I can say is

based on the work
that I'm doing with women

for the past few years,

as a spiritual
wellness coach is helping women

to really uncover
what their true purpose is.

But we're using
biblical principles.

We're using prayer as the avenue

through which we can
uncover our true purpose

that God was leading me,

I was being prepared to do this

maybe for my entire life.

I just didn't know it yet.

You know, it
happened that, for example,

I was in the UK on vacation

after I finished off my PhD

and after I had chilled
out in Asia for a little bit,

and now I was on vacation

and a pastor
calls and says to me,

Can you speak on
Sabbath for communion?

And I thought to myself, what?

I'm like, I just
finished a PhD in education

and not theology.

Yeah.

And so, I had to go through
my little struggle with God,

but he eventually
answered and said,

I had no idea

because I'm like,
what am I going to do?

It's not even a Wednesday night,

And so I had, what's a God

and I had to of
course respond first,

then go to him

instructions on what to do.

And that happened.

I went to
another church to sing.

While I was at that church,

a lady came up to me after

and she said we were having

our women's
ministries weekend next month,

I would like you to sing for us.

So, I said, I'm
actually on vacation

heading to the US next week.
00:07:53.10\00:07:55.00
She took my
details and she said,

"I'll get in touch
with you. I have to leave."

And that lady began to call
me and email me and text me.

And she said,

"Nadine, God said,
it's your time to speak."

So we're talking
about how did I know that

he asked me to
really focus on prayer.

So it so happened at that church

that I sang at in London,

the following year

they asked me to come
and do attendees of prayer.

I'm like, what?

So, that was the beginning of me

going into that direction

as if God was
directly leading me

to actually get
into that space of prayer

and everything that I'd
been learning over the years

and all of the principles

that I was learning through
my own personal prayer life.

When I went off to college,
when I took God at His Word,

when I began to trust Him.

And when I didn't
know what was happening,

every single principle
that I now teach on prayer

comes from my
personal experience

and my relationship
with God over the years,

how it has been developing.

And so then God said,

the names of the books

that he wanted me
to write on prayer.

It was through his direction

also that I reach out
to your mom when I did,

because all of that was
part of his instruction for me.

One year when I was
fasting and praying, he said,

"I want you to focus on prayer.

I need you to
write books on prayer.

And I also want

All of that came through
the instructions of pray,

find it so strange,

God about something

through that moment with Him

and I'm spending time
seeking Him in prayer,

even when I have
not had the answer,

even when I feel,

I'm not sure if
You've heard me right now,

even when I have these moments,

I still find myself

going and talk
right back to Him.

comes to that calling,

feeling my best today.

today feeling like,

"Oh, I'm on top of the world

and I'm ready
to make it happen."

But as soon as I get on the call

with one of clients,

it's almost as if, just
as if, when I go to speak,

that I'm not able to do this,

an out of body experience

I don't have that
capacity right now,

but I'm just seeing God show up.

just helps me to confirm that

I am doing what God
has called me to do that.

I'm in my place of purpose

I'm meant to do for now.

And so I may doubt
many things in life,

but one thing I
cannot doubt is the calling

that God has given me to
really help empower people

and inspire them

to have a more
effective prayer life

and everything else that I do.

For example,
the work of purpose,

helping women to
uncover their purpose,

helping women to
build successful ministries

and brands and businesses,

all of it stemmed in prayer

because without
prayer, I say to my clients,

I cannot do any of these things

because prayer is

my number one business strategy.

Without it, there is nothing.

walking in your purpose

showing up all of the time.

I said, "This is all God."

And I remember had a meeting
with the client recently.

And she said to me,

"You just
changed my life today."

I said, "No, it's
not me. It's God."

And so, just knowing every day

that I am able
to make a difference

in the life of women.

At this point every day,

school and get good grades

and then get a great
job and you're successful.

and you have kids.

And so many of us grew
up both male and female

with the idea

that if I go to school
and I get that good education

job and I'm making money,

then I'm successful.

But purpose is not
defined by any of these things.

It's really
defined by that one thing
