Sounds good. 00:01:16.64\00:01:17.97 So we're here to talk about your book, 00:01:18.01\00:01:19.34 "Glimpses of His glory." 00:01:19.37\00:01:21.94 This is a powerful book, 00:01:21.98\00:01:23.31 I started reading it, you know, while you were writing it, 00:01:23.35\00:01:25.85 and then I started reading it once it came out. 00:01:25.88\00:01:28.82 And it's amazing 00:01:28.85\00:01:31.69 how there's so many different names for God. 00:01:31.72\00:01:34.92 I had no clue that there were so many names. 00:01:34.96\00:01:38.79 What inspired you to write this book? 00:01:38.83\00:01:41.80 Well, okay. 00:01:41.83\00:01:43.16 So, you know, a lot of times, 00:01:43.20\00:01:45.97 whether you're in ministry or not, 00:01:46.00\00:01:47.50 as a Christian, sometimes you just need some inspiration, 00:01:47.54\00:01:51.44 you need to have your prayer life 00:01:51.47\00:01:53.68 turned up, you need that relationship 00:01:53.71\00:01:55.74 with the Lord to get turned up some 00:01:55.78\00:01:58.35 as opposed to just being mundane or routine. 00:01:58.38\00:02:02.72 And so I was reading this book 00:02:02.75\00:02:05.09 about how to improve your prayer life. 00:02:05.12\00:02:08.49 And the author had said 00:02:08.52\00:02:10.46 that she studied the names of God. 00:02:10.49\00:02:14.00 And I thought, I think I'll look into that. 00:02:14.03\00:02:17.37 So I did. 00:02:17.40\00:02:18.73 And, man, what an incredible study it is. 00:02:18.77\00:02:22.24 Because it just opens up various aspects 00:02:22.27\00:02:26.57 of God's character to you. 00:02:26.61\00:02:28.64 Because each title, it's more, 00:02:28.68\00:02:32.21 these are more titles than names. 00:02:32.25\00:02:33.82 But each title gives you 00:02:33.85\00:02:36.79 just a little glimpse of who He is, 00:02:36.82\00:02:39.29 hence the name Glimpses of His glory. 00:02:39.32\00:02:41.26 Yes. 00:02:41.29\00:02:42.62 Each title just gives you a little glimpse 00:02:42.66\00:02:44.93 of who He is, and how He is, and how He loves us. 00:02:44.96\00:02:49.60 And, you know, Satan is always trying 00:02:49.63\00:02:51.47 to distort the character of God. 00:02:51.50\00:02:53.94 He's trying, he tries to make God seem so harsh 00:02:53.97\00:02:57.61 and mean and this cosmic killjoy, 00:02:57.64\00:03:01.18 but God is loving, and kind and just. 00:03:01.21\00:03:04.81 No joke. That is no joke. 00:03:04.85\00:03:07.35 And He's strong and powerful and kind 00:03:07.38\00:03:10.05 and all of these things. 00:03:10.09\00:03:11.72 And each title just kind of gives you 00:03:11.75\00:03:15.69 a little aspect of that. 00:03:15.72\00:03:17.76 Yeah. 00:03:17.79\00:03:19.13 So it gives you a glimpse into His character. 00:03:19.16\00:03:21.20 Exactly. 00:03:21.23\00:03:22.56 And the different aspects of His character. 00:03:22.60\00:03:24.17 That's right. 00:03:24.20\00:03:25.53 And they're all, they're not mutually exclusive. 00:03:25.57\00:03:27.90 I mean, while He is El Shaddai, God Almighty, 00:03:27.94\00:03:32.04 He's also Adonai Tzidkenu, the Lord our Righteousness. 00:03:32.07\00:03:37.55 So He's all these things at once. 00:03:37.58\00:03:39.31 These titles work complementarily, 00:03:39.35\00:03:41.95 they don't work in isolation but it's just, 00:03:41.98\00:03:45.55 they all kind of exemplify His love and power. 00:03:45.59\00:03:50.16 So, you know, when you share some of these 00:03:50.19\00:03:54.46 other names, right? 00:03:54.50\00:03:55.83 And you said that they all work at once. 00:03:55.86\00:03:57.93 So He can be loving, 00:03:57.97\00:03:59.67 He can be just all of those things. 00:03:59.70\00:04:01.80 I think of a time when I was a little kid, 00:04:01.84\00:04:03.91 and we go to the grocery store, and you loved me, 00:04:03.94\00:04:07.28 but it used to drive me crazy 00:04:07.31\00:04:08.74 when you would pick up with something 00:04:08.78\00:04:11.11 that I was trying to get something 00:04:11.15\00:04:12.91 and it had a lot of sugar in it, 00:04:12.95\00:04:14.62 it had a lot of chemicals in it, all this stuff. 00:04:14.65\00:04:17.35 And I knew that if you read the ingredients, 00:04:17.39\00:04:20.76 you're gonna tell me to put it back 00:04:20.79\00:04:22.32 and you're gonna find a substitution. 00:04:22.36\00:04:24.06 That's true. 00:04:24.09\00:04:25.43 But God has a health message for us. 00:04:25.46\00:04:26.80 Yes. 00:04:26.83\00:04:28.16 And He loves us and gives us 00:04:28.20\00:04:29.53 that health message for our benefit. 00:04:29.56\00:04:32.33 You weren't doing that when I was a little kid 00:04:32.37\00:04:34.40 to, you know, I guess disappoint me, 00:04:34.44\00:04:38.01 but you were doing that to protect me. 00:04:38.04\00:04:39.44 Exactly. 00:04:39.47\00:04:40.81 So we see in the book where, you know, 00:04:40.84\00:04:42.61 different aspects of His character 00:04:42.64\00:04:46.98 show how He wants to protect us, 00:04:47.02\00:04:48.75 how He loves us, how all of those things. 00:04:48.78\00:04:51.29 Yes, yes, He manifests Himself 00:04:51.32\00:04:54.79 in so many different ways. 00:04:54.82\00:04:59.06 His personality, you know, you get to know who He is. 00:04:59.09\00:05:03.47 And other thing, Jason, is when you talk to someone, 00:05:03.50\00:05:08.70 and you use their name versus just some general thing, like, 00:05:08.74\00:05:13.78 you're the general manager of Dare to Dream, 00:05:13.81\00:05:16.88 but you are Jason. 00:05:16.91\00:05:18.28 Yeah. 00:05:18.31\00:05:19.65 So there's something so much more intimate 00:05:19.68\00:05:21.88 about calling you by your name 00:05:21.92\00:05:24.42 than calling you by, you know, that work title. 00:05:24.45\00:05:28.26 And so it is with this, 00:05:28.29\00:05:30.83 that we learn more of God, 00:05:30.86\00:05:34.30 more of who He is through these titles, 00:05:34.33\00:05:36.46 through His names and titles. 00:05:36.50\00:05:38.27 Now, what's the significance? 00:05:38.30\00:05:40.60 Because, you know, back in the Bible days, 00:05:40.64\00:05:43.81 there was a different approach to naming people 00:05:43.84\00:05:46.78 than we have today. 00:05:46.81\00:05:48.21 I mean, today, you see some names, 00:05:48.24\00:05:49.78 and you're just like, 00:05:49.81\00:05:51.15 "What were their parents thinking?" 00:05:51.18\00:05:52.51 I know. 00:05:52.55\00:05:53.88 And you see some names, you know, 00:05:53.92\00:05:55.25 back in the Bible days, where you're like, 00:05:55.28\00:05:56.65 well, what were they thinking? 00:05:56.69\00:05:58.02 But there was a significance to that one, you know, 00:05:58.05\00:06:00.36 a meaning that went along with that. 00:06:00.39\00:06:02.19 What's the difference? 00:06:02.22\00:06:03.56 Yes. 00:06:03.59\00:06:04.93 Well, back in Bible times, 00:06:04.96\00:06:06.29 when parents named their children 00:06:06.33\00:06:08.06 it would often actually signify some kind of purpose 00:06:08.10\00:06:12.40 and direction for their lives. 00:06:12.43\00:06:15.50 So Jesus, really His name was Yeshua. 00:06:15.54\00:06:19.17 He wasn't called Jesus as a child 00:06:19.21\00:06:21.54 because there was no J in Hebrew. 00:06:21.58\00:06:24.11 So He was called Yeshua. 00:06:24.15\00:06:26.45 And that means Y-H-W-H, is salvation. 00:06:26.48\00:06:31.65 Y-H-W-H is the name that God told Moses, 00:06:31.69\00:06:37.26 when Moses asked God in Exodus 3, 00:06:37.29\00:06:40.76 who shall I say, 00:06:40.80\00:06:42.40 is sending me, you know, 00:06:42.43\00:06:43.77 to deliver the children of Israel? 00:06:43.80\00:06:46.00 And God said, "Tell them Y-H-W-H." 00:06:46.03\00:06:50.41 Now there was a pronunciation for that. 00:06:50.44\00:06:54.58 We don't really know what that pronunciation is. 00:06:54.61\00:06:57.28 The Y-H-W-H is called the tetragrammaton. 00:06:57.31\00:07:00.68 It's the four letters because back in Bible times 00:07:00.72\00:07:04.59 Hebrew had no vowels. 00:07:04.62\00:07:08.22 So it's all consonants. 00:07:08.26\00:07:10.13 So Y-H-W-H was the name that God said 00:07:10.16\00:07:15.20 that He was sending Moses. 00:07:15.23\00:07:18.33 And He also said, "I am who I am." 00:07:18.37\00:07:23.07 Ehyeh 'aer 'ehyeh. 00:07:23.10\00:07:25.67 And that meant I am who I am, or I am, that I am. 00:07:25.71\00:07:31.28 And so He is the self existent one, 00:07:31.31\00:07:35.05 the one for whom there is no beginning and no end. 00:07:35.08\00:07:40.82 I mean, it's just, 00:07:40.86\00:07:42.19 there's so much richness in it that, 00:07:42.22\00:07:45.39 you know, you just as you learn these different names, 00:07:45.43\00:07:48.76 and you hear these different names, 00:07:48.80\00:07:50.70 it's like, wow, like, because, for example, like, 00:07:50.73\00:07:54.30 Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning," 00:07:54.34\00:07:57.64 our King James, or New King James, or NIV, 00:07:57.67\00:08:00.78 or whatever that version will say, 00:08:00.81\00:08:03.04 "In the beginning, 00:08:03.08\00:08:04.41 God created the heavens and the earth." 00:08:04.45\00:08:06.11 Right? 00:08:06.15\00:08:07.52 And that's what, that's what we read, 00:08:07.55\00:08:09.95 that's what we know. 00:08:09.98\00:08:11.32 But the Hebrew, the original Hebrew is, 00:08:11.35\00:08:15.66 it's transliterated into, "In the beginning, Elohim, 00:08:15.69\00:08:19.79 created the heavens and the earth." 00:08:19.83\00:08:21.70 Now that word Elohim is, 00:08:21.73\00:08:25.33 it's plural, but yet it had, 00:08:25.37\00:08:29.14 it's followed by a singular verb. 00:08:29.17\00:08:31.04 So it's like Elohim implies the Trinity. 00:08:31.07\00:08:36.34 Okay. Okay. 00:08:36.38\00:08:37.71 So we don't see 00:08:37.75\00:08:39.31 that when we read in the beginning, 00:08:39.35\00:08:41.72 God created the heavens and the earth, 00:08:41.75\00:08:43.92 but in the Hebrew Elohim is a plural noun. 00:08:43.95\00:08:47.66 Yes. 00:08:47.69\00:08:49.02 So it represents and implies God, 00:08:49.06\00:08:51.99 the Father was there, God, 00:08:52.03\00:08:53.96 the Son was there, God, the Holy Spirit was there. 00:08:54.00\00:08:56.16 Yes. 00:08:56.20\00:08:57.53 And that also within the Godhead, 00:08:57.57\00:09:01.67 there is a covenant relationship 00:09:01.70\00:09:03.91 that can't be broken. 00:09:03.94\00:09:05.74 So all of this stuff is in that name 00:09:05.77\00:09:10.45 that we don't know. 00:09:10.48\00:09:11.88 If we just see, "In the beginning God created 00:09:11.91\00:09:14.48 the heavens and the earth." 00:09:14.52\00:09:15.85 That's deep. 00:09:15.88\00:09:17.22 And so, where do you go to study 00:09:17.25\00:09:19.39 further on that like, 00:09:19.42\00:09:20.76 because it's not in the New King James 00:09:20.79\00:09:22.42 it's not in NIV, it's not in the King James Version, 00:09:22.46\00:09:25.79 so where can we study that? 00:09:25.83\00:09:27.83 I mean, yes, of course, we need to read this book. 00:09:27.86\00:09:30.57 But when we want to go even beyond that, 00:09:30.60\00:09:32.80 and see it in Scripture and continue down that path, 00:09:32.83\00:09:36.47 where do we go to find that? 00:09:36.50\00:09:37.84 Yeah, I have, I ordered this Bible, 00:09:37.87\00:09:41.28 this is the names of God Bible. 00:09:41.31\00:09:44.61 And it's the God's word translation 00:09:44.65\00:09:47.78 and it has some of the different titles now 00:09:47.82\00:09:50.82 it has Yahweh as YHWH instead of YHWH. 00:09:50.85\00:09:56.83 I don't use Yahweh because that name 00:09:56.86\00:10:02.00 was made out of taking the vowels 00:10:02.03\00:10:06.33 from another title of God and then it made that. 00:10:06.37\00:10:10.87 So that's kind of the name that many scholars say 00:10:10.91\00:10:15.18 that that's God's name, 00:10:15.21\00:10:16.54 that that's how you would pronounce the Y-H-W-H. 00:10:16.58\00:10:19.65 But you really don't know that. 00:10:19.68\00:10:21.08 And I had the privilege of having Dr. Roy Gane, 00:10:21.12\00:10:25.82 who is with Andrews University. 00:10:25.85\00:10:27.86 He is a professor of Near Eastern Biblical Languages. 00:10:27.89\00:10:32.26 I hope I'm not messing up the title, Dr. Gane. 00:10:32.29\00:10:35.10 He has a long title. 00:10:35.13\00:10:36.93 But he kind of cleared that up for me, 00:10:36.97\00:10:39.30 and I have it in the appendix of the book, 00:10:39.33\00:10:41.50 why I don't use Jehovah or Yahweh, 00:10:41.54\00:10:44.64 why I use Y-H-W-H 00:10:44.67\00:10:46.91 when writing and when speaking Adonai, 00:10:46.94\00:10:50.21 because that's the Lord. 00:10:50.25\00:10:52.35 So I use Adonai when speaking. 00:10:52.38\00:10:54.78 Okay. 00:10:54.82\00:10:56.15 Let's talk about the structure of the book. 00:10:56.18\00:10:57.52 How is the book structured? 00:10:57.55\00:10:59.12 Well, each chapter has first the title of God, 00:10:59.15\00:11:04.19 and then the pronunciation because... 00:11:04.23\00:11:06.03 That's important. 00:11:06.06\00:11:07.40 It is important, because if you're going 00:11:07.43\00:11:08.76 to be calling on the name of the Lord, 00:11:08.80\00:11:10.13 you do want to have a good pronunciation. 00:11:10.17\00:11:11.50 Yes. 00:11:11.53\00:11:12.87 And some of these are hard to pronounce. 00:11:12.90\00:11:14.97 So you want to make sure you can say it properly. 00:11:15.00\00:11:17.61 Then there's a scripture, 00:11:17.64\00:11:18.97 either the first time that name is introduced, 00:11:19.01\00:11:22.24 or scripture that really demonstrates that name. 00:11:22.28\00:11:26.31 Then there's the biblical context 00:11:26.35\00:11:28.98 for the name. 00:11:29.02\00:11:31.09 And then there's a testimony 00:11:31.12\00:11:34.72 of a modern day person 00:11:34.76\00:11:37.93 in whose life God demonstrated that aspect of His character. 00:11:37.96\00:11:42.76 So for example, with Elohim, we'll go back to Elohim. 00:11:42.80\00:11:47.30 The God continues, He is the creator of life. 00:11:47.34\00:11:53.14 And He continues to create, 00:11:53.17\00:11:55.04 as He recreates us in His image. 00:11:55.08\00:11:59.18 And so we look at the parallel 00:11:59.21\00:12:03.89 between creation and recreation. 00:12:03.92\00:12:06.62 And then I have a story of Chris Hudson, 00:12:06.65\00:12:10.63 the forerunner from the Forerunner Chronicles. 00:12:10.66\00:12:13.19 And he was that entertainment writer, 00:12:13.23\00:12:16.77 who was seeking the dark side, 00:12:16.80\00:12:19.83 actually literally seeking fellowship communion 00:12:19.87\00:12:24.31 with the dark side, 00:12:24.34\00:12:25.67 so he could write his entertainment scripts, 00:12:25.71\00:12:27.88 and the Lord got a hold of him. 00:12:27.91\00:12:29.31 And you got to read the book to find out how he did it. 00:12:29.34\00:12:31.88 That's right. 00:12:31.91\00:12:33.25 But he did. 00:12:33.28\00:12:34.62 And so, and then at the end, after the testimony, 00:12:34.65\00:12:37.42 there's a prayer. 00:12:37.45\00:12:38.79 I love that part too. 00:12:38.82\00:12:40.16 Praise the Lord. And that prayer that... 00:12:40.19\00:12:44.26 A few years ago, well, more than a few, 00:12:44.29\00:12:46.03 there's several years ago, 00:12:46.06\00:12:47.40 I was going through a really hard time about something. 00:12:47.43\00:12:49.80 And I read this book, and at the end of each chapter, 00:12:49.83\00:12:53.07 there was a prayer that you could pray aloud. 00:12:53.10\00:12:54.67 And I thought, "Wow, it really helped me 00:12:54.70\00:12:58.04 to pray that prayer aloud." 00:12:58.07\00:12:59.67 So I thought, well, let's have a prayer 00:12:59.71\00:13:02.78 using that particular title of God. 00:13:02.81\00:13:05.85 And talking to him about that aspect of His character 00:13:05.88\00:13:10.79 in that prayer, and you read it out loud, 00:13:10.82\00:13:13.62 you say it out loud to Him. 00:13:13.66\00:13:15.66 And during your worship time, 00:13:15.69\00:13:17.23 during your quiet time with the Lord. 00:13:17.26\00:13:19.49 It's so enriching to be able 00:13:19.53\00:13:22.63 to call Him by that title 00:13:22.66\00:13:25.67 and to pray to Him using that title. 00:13:25.70\00:13:29.84 I mean, you have to try it. 00:13:29.87\00:13:31.21 It's just, it's beautiful. 00:13:31.24\00:13:32.57 It does. 00:13:32.61\00:13:33.94 It's so rich. 00:13:33.98\00:13:35.31 I love that you said that God recreates. 00:13:35.34\00:13:36.68 Yeah. 00:13:36.71\00:13:38.05 You know, He recreates us because when you think about 00:13:38.08\00:13:40.28 sanctification, sanctification is the work of a lifetime. 00:13:40.32\00:13:42.78 Exactly. 00:13:42.82\00:13:44.15 So that's. Yeah, that is huge. 00:13:44.19\00:13:47.82 How has this book impacted your spiritual life? 00:13:47.86\00:13:52.13 Well, I'm telling you, Jay, it for me, 00:13:52.16\00:13:57.47 it has just brought me so much closer to the Lord. 00:13:57.50\00:13:59.93 Because, again, you know, I'm in ministry, 00:13:59.97\00:14:02.44 I'm in full time ministry. 00:14:02.47\00:14:04.47 And so, you know, you can get caught up 00:14:04.51\00:14:07.41 in, that's your job. 00:14:07.44\00:14:09.51 But you must, 00:14:09.54\00:14:10.88 in order to do that you must have a relationship 00:14:10.91\00:14:15.28 with the Lord that's meaningful, 00:14:15.32\00:14:16.65 otherwise it is just the job. 00:14:16.69\00:14:18.19 Yes. 00:14:18.22\00:14:19.55 You don't want that to be just your job, 00:14:19.59\00:14:21.82 you want to have a deeper, 00:14:24.13\00:14:26.19 more meaningful relationship with the Lord. 00:14:26.23\00:14:27.80 And I was seeking that. 00:14:27.83\00:14:29.43 And again, reading that book, you know, 00:14:29.46\00:14:32.07 just kind of led me into studying the names. 00:14:32.10\00:14:35.10 And then I guess the Lord just laid on my heart 00:14:35.14\00:14:38.57 that I should write it. 00:14:38.61\00:14:39.94 And then showing me, you know, 00:14:39.97\00:14:42.74 the connection of the modern day application, 00:14:42.78\00:14:45.65 because it's not just for Bible times. 00:14:45.68\00:14:48.22 You know, we think that these names, 00:14:48.25\00:14:50.45 oh, man, they're so outdated that's just for them. 00:14:50.49\00:14:52.95 No, He continues to be the Creator. 00:14:52.99\00:14:55.82 Elohim. 00:14:55.86\00:14:57.19 He continues to be El M' Kaddesh, 00:14:57.23\00:14:58.76 the God who sanctifies us. 00:14:58.79\00:15:00.50 He continues to be El Tsur, our Rock. 00:15:00.53\00:15:03.77 He continues to be Adonai Tzidkenu, 00:15:03.80\00:15:07.80 the Lord our Righteousness. 00:15:07.84\00:15:09.17 He continues to be just the one 00:15:09.20\00:15:12.11 that we can call on in every situation. 00:15:12.14\00:15:14.91 Amen. 00:15:14.94\00:15:16.28 So I don't know if I might have repeated 00:15:16.31\00:15:18.01 the Lord our Righteousness. 00:15:18.05\00:15:19.38 I don't know. 00:15:19.41\00:15:20.75 But anyway, if I did, He continues to be that. 00:15:20.78\00:15:22.48 I think you're preaching right now. 00:15:24.29\00:15:25.72 I know it. 00:15:25.75\00:15:27.09 I get excited because I know 00:15:27.12\00:15:30.79 what this has done for me. 00:15:30.83\00:15:33.53 And I feel as though, you know, 00:15:33.56\00:15:35.56 if you feeling like you're in a rut, 00:15:35.60\00:15:37.50 or you feeling like 00:15:37.53\00:15:38.87 your spiritual life needs a little fire, 00:15:38.90\00:15:40.24 we all need some revival, sometimes. 00:15:40.27\00:15:42.57 This book is definitely a blessing for that. 00:15:42.60\00:15:45.37 And it's also great to give to someone. 00:15:45.41\00:15:48.11 Yes. 00:15:48.14\00:15:49.48 You know, your friends, 00:15:49.51\00:15:50.85 whether they're Christian or not, 00:15:50.88\00:15:52.21 I actually have the sinners prayer in here. 00:15:52.25\00:15:54.28 So that for those who are not Christian, 00:15:54.32\00:15:57.89 but they decide after reading this that they want a deeper 00:15:57.92\00:16:01.36 relationship with the Lord, 00:16:01.39\00:16:02.99 or they want to accept Jesus as their Savior. 00:16:03.02\00:16:04.96 It's in here. 00:16:04.99\00:16:06.33 Information about righteousness by faith that's in here through 00:16:06.36\00:16:09.36 one of the stories. 00:16:09.40\00:16:10.73 So, you know, the Sabbath. 00:16:10.77\00:16:12.30 So all of these things are in the book 00:16:12.33\00:16:14.60 without it being a heavy doctrinal book, 00:16:14.64\00:16:17.64 but yet, we introduced them to certain truths of the Bible. 00:16:17.67\00:16:21.78 And so, yeah, I'm excited. 00:16:21.81\00:16:24.05 It's very informative. 00:16:24.08\00:16:25.61 It helps them fall in love with Jesus. 00:16:25.65\00:16:27.88 Yes. 00:16:27.92\00:16:29.25 And then it also shows them that practical application 00:16:29.28\00:16:32.95 in the life of a modern day person. 00:16:32.99\00:16:35.29 Yes. 00:16:35.32\00:16:36.66 That hitman from the drug cartel, 00:16:36.69\00:16:38.03 former hitman from the drug cartel. 00:16:38.06\00:16:39.69 Yeah, former. 00:16:39.73\00:16:41.06 You know, that script writer, all of those examples. 00:16:41.10\00:16:45.40 Yes. 00:16:45.43\00:16:46.77 I like the, I think it was Goel. 00:16:46.80\00:16:48.80 Yes. 00:16:48.84\00:16:50.17 With Job, were you talking about Job 00:16:50.21\00:16:51.91 and all of that. 00:16:51.94\00:16:53.27 Oh, yeah. 00:16:53.31\00:16:54.64 And Boaz, and the kinsman redeemer, 00:16:54.68\00:16:56.38 and all of these are powerful examples. 00:16:56.41\00:16:59.95 And I've heard feedback from people 00:16:59.98\00:17:01.85 who have read the book, 00:17:01.88\00:17:03.39 and they love it. 00:17:03.42\00:17:05.02 They said that they're so glad 00:17:05.05\00:17:06.65 that you took the time to write it, 00:17:06.69\00:17:09.39 and that it has blessed them and help them grow spiritually. 00:17:09.42\00:17:12.29 Praise the Lord. 00:17:12.33\00:17:13.66 I'm thankful for that. 00:17:13.70\00:17:15.03 It's been a privilege for me to have written it. 00:17:15.06\00:17:17.83 Because I'm telling you, as I was writing it, 00:17:17.87\00:17:19.97 there would be times when, like, 00:17:21.77\00:17:24.47 I would start reading a scripture or something, 00:17:24.51\00:17:27.24 and that would refer me to another scripture. 00:17:27.28\00:17:30.85 And then I would put it in there, 00:17:30.88\00:17:32.41 or I would say, 00:17:32.45\00:17:33.78 "Lord I need something here to, 00:17:33.82\00:17:38.29 you know, to pull this together, 00:17:38.32\00:17:39.82 or I need something to help me with this particular section." 00:17:39.85\00:17:44.13 And then the Lord would impress something on my heart. 00:17:44.16\00:17:47.16 And, you know, and you can include this, 00:17:47.20\00:17:49.33 or you can put that, and I was like, "Wow!" 00:17:49.36\00:17:51.97 I mean, when I read it myself, I'm amazed. 00:17:52.00\00:17:54.90 Because, not because I'm thinking 00:17:54.94\00:17:56.77 I'm all that, 00:17:56.81\00:17:58.14 but because God impressed all of this. 00:17:58.17\00:18:01.64 Yes. 00:18:01.68\00:18:03.01 And so, you know, it's just to give Him glory 00:18:03.04\00:18:05.61 and to let people know 00:18:05.65\00:18:09.08 who He is and how He is, 00:18:09.12\00:18:11.99 and how much He loves us, 00:18:12.02\00:18:13.76 because it's all about love. 00:18:13.79\00:18:15.89 It's all about love. 00:18:15.92\00:18:17.43 And that's evident through and through this book. 00:18:17.46\00:18:20.96 How long did it take you to write this? 00:18:21.00\00:18:23.90 You know, I don't know when I started, 00:18:23.93\00:18:26.80 I think it took me about a year. 00:18:26.84\00:18:28.60 Because I had started writing it and then it's funny 00:18:28.64\00:18:34.01 because I sent Brian, 00:18:34.04\00:18:37.45 my cousin Brian, 00:18:37.48\00:18:40.22 a couple of chapters, 00:18:40.25\00:18:41.92 and he gave me some really, you know, strong criticism, 00:18:41.95\00:18:45.32 but he critiqued it for me. 00:18:45.35\00:18:47.29 And so I kind of had to go back in and rework a lot of it. 00:18:47.32\00:18:50.99 But I'm glad he did. 00:18:51.03\00:18:52.63 I'm glad that he, you know, shared that with me, 00:18:52.66\00:18:55.43 and so I had to get back in there and do it. 00:18:55.46\00:19:00.80 And I also talked to different people about 00:19:00.84\00:19:06.21 the names and like one of my friends 00:19:06.24\00:19:08.34 from music business, who was a secular Jew, 00:19:08.38\00:19:12.51 but he was the son of a Rabbi. 00:19:12.55\00:19:15.42 And he also studied with one of the top cantors in New York 00:19:15.45\00:19:20.19 and great singer, and he decided to sing 00:19:20.22\00:19:23.63 commercials and stuff, but he helped me 00:19:23.66\00:19:26.26 too with some of the pronunciations. 00:19:26.29\00:19:29.03 He's Jewish, so he helped me with that. 00:19:29.06\00:19:31.37 And then, of course, Dr. Roy Gane. 00:19:31.40\00:19:34.17 So all of these, you know, 00:19:34.20\00:19:36.04 talking back and forth and research, 00:19:36.07\00:19:38.21 the research took a lot of time. 00:19:38.24\00:19:40.41 And then the contributors, 00:19:40.44\00:19:42.08 most of
