Yes. 00:01:35.82\00:01:37.16 So why don't you tell us 00:01:37.19\00:01:38.53 a little bit about your background? 00:01:38.56\00:01:39.89 Where are you from? 00:01:39.93\00:01:41.26 And, you know, just tell us a little bit about yourself. 00:01:41.30\00:01:45.93 Okay, well, 00:01:45.97\00:01:47.30 I was born and raised in the Island of Montreal. 00:01:47.34\00:01:49.80 Okay. 00:01:49.84\00:01:51.17 And I was raised by a single mother, 00:01:51.21\00:01:55.44 beautiful mother, 00:01:55.48\00:01:56.81 and I want to say hello to mom, if you're watching. 00:01:56.85\00:01:59.98 She watches 3ABN very religiously. 00:02:00.02\00:02:03.28 And I have three brothers as well. 00:02:03.32\00:02:06.22 And I wasn't always a Christian growing up, 00:02:06.25\00:02:09.66 so I grew up in Montreal. 00:02:09.69\00:02:12.19 That's right. Okay. 00:02:12.23\00:02:13.70 So you said you weren't always a Christian growing up. 00:02:13.73\00:02:16.63 At what point did you become a Christian 00:02:16.67\00:02:19.23 and what was your life like prior to Christianity? 00:02:19.27\00:02:22.37 Let's start there. 00:02:22.40\00:02:24.27 Okay, so growing up, I was, believe it or not, 00:02:24.31\00:02:28.41 I was a tomboy. 00:02:28.44\00:02:29.78 Okay. I was not religious. 00:02:29.81\00:02:32.48 I was an athlete, a jock. 00:02:32.51\00:02:35.78 I used to rap. 00:02:35.82\00:02:37.75 And I was a lyricist. 00:02:37.79\00:02:39.65 Yeah. And so forth. 00:02:39.69\00:02:41.02 And grew up in a very strong urban community. 00:02:41.06\00:02:46.46 And so I was exposed to, you know, 00:02:46.49\00:02:49.80 if you will all kinds of things that you would think that, 00:02:49.83\00:02:55.60 you know, 00:02:55.64\00:02:56.97 where would I be today if it weren't for Christ? 00:02:57.01\00:02:58.87 Yes, yes. 00:02:58.91\00:03:00.74 So then, at what point did that transition... 00:03:00.78\00:03:03.88 When did and how did Christ grab a hold of your life? 00:03:03.91\00:03:09.15 Right. So it was at the age of 18. 00:03:09.18\00:03:12.55 I remember my mom would tell me when I was a child, you know, 00:03:12.59\00:03:15.02 "Sheldine, it's important 00:03:15.06\00:03:16.39 to go to church, go to church, " 00:03:16.42\00:03:17.76 and so forth. 00:03:17.79\00:03:19.13 She was always a firm believer of God. 00:03:19.16\00:03:21.06 And we can never underestimate a praying mother. 00:03:21.10\00:03:25.13 That's the truth. 00:03:25.17\00:03:26.50 And so at 18, 00:03:26.53\00:03:28.17 I remember I was going to the arcade, 00:03:28.20\00:03:29.74 you know, I was bored. 00:03:29.77\00:03:31.11 I felt the void and emptiness. 00:03:31.14\00:03:32.47 And one day, 00:03:32.51\00:03:33.84 I ran to friends as I was heading back home 00:03:33.88\00:03:36.34 from the arcades. 00:03:36.38\00:03:38.05 And they gave me a pamphlet. 00:03:38.08\00:03:39.61 So they invited me to church, they gave me an invitation. 00:03:39.65\00:03:43.42 So we cannot downplay on evangelism. 00:03:43.45\00:03:46.62 I was evangelized too. 00:03:46.65\00:03:48.56 And I went to this youth program, 00:03:48.59\00:03:51.39 [speaking in French] it was in French 00:03:51.43\00:03:52.76 and French was not... 00:03:52.79\00:03:54.13 I couldn't speak a word of French. 00:03:54.16\00:03:55.76 That's another miracle by itself. 00:03:55.80\00:03:57.17 That's another story by itself. 00:03:57.20\00:03:59.77 I attended, and I fell in love with the... 00:03:59.80\00:04:03.14 I said, "Wow, I had never heard of this before, " 00:04:03.17\00:04:04.51 and I was asking questions, and I was really ripe. 00:04:04.54\00:04:08.74 I felt a void 00:04:08.78\00:04:10.11 and I felt a need of change in my life. 00:04:10.15\00:04:12.05 I needed a shift in my life. 00:04:12.08\00:04:13.42 I realized that at 18 years old. 00:04:13.45\00:04:14.95 Wow! 00:04:14.98\00:04:16.32 And since then, 00:04:16.35\00:04:18.55 I started asking questions about the Bible, 00:04:18.59\00:04:22.86 about healthy form, about modesty, 00:04:22.89\00:04:28.46 not just about dress but how we conduct ourselves 00:04:28.50\00:04:30.90 with the opposite sex, 00:04:30.93\00:04:32.73 taste for music, 00:04:32.77\00:04:35.50 and even just all aspects of life, 00:04:35.54\00:04:39.01 my perception and view has totally changed 00:04:39.04\00:04:42.34 when I started to have an encounter. 00:04:42.38\00:04:43.98 Now I could really say my true encounter with Christ 00:04:44.01\00:04:46.55 because we could be baptized 00:04:46.58\00:04:47.98 but not have a full encounter with Christ... 00:04:48.02\00:04:50.29 Unpack that. Yeah. 00:04:50.32\00:04:52.62 So, you know, you become jealous 00:04:52.65\00:04:55.22 I was baptized like six months in 00:04:55.26\00:04:56.86 after I was exposed to the truth 00:04:56.89\00:05:00.60 that I found in God's Word. 00:05:00.63\00:05:03.03 And, you know, 00:05:03.06\00:05:05.27 you get jealous, you get so excited, 00:05:05.30\00:05:07.04 but then you still had some tuning and learning to do 00:05:07.07\00:05:09.14 and unlearning to do. 00:05:09.17\00:05:10.51 So that's what I had to learn to do. 00:05:10.54\00:05:13.07 And I was always in the church. 00:05:13.11\00:05:15.24 I never left the church, 00:05:15.28\00:05:16.61 but we could be physically in the church 00:05:16.64\00:05:17.98 but mentally in the world. 00:05:18.01\00:05:19.35 Yes. 00:05:19.38\00:05:20.72 So I had some... 00:05:20.75\00:05:22.08 The Lord had some chiseling in my life 00:05:22.12\00:05:23.45 in my Christian walk, 00:05:23.49\00:05:24.82 in my walk in the event of His faith. 00:05:24.85\00:05:27.89 And I could truly say, 00:05:27.92\00:05:30.13 the last five years or so was really, 00:05:30.16\00:05:32.76 I truly encountered Christ, 00:05:32.79\00:05:34.56 like a one-on-one 00:05:34.60\00:05:35.93 and learning how to have deeper devotional life 00:05:35.96\00:05:38.40 with the Lord, 00:05:38.43\00:05:39.80 learning the aspects of heart reform 00:05:39.83\00:05:41.90 because we can have all these reforms 00:05:41.94\00:05:44.27 but be deformed in everything else. 00:05:44.31\00:05:47.18 Even the facade of dress reform, diet reform, 00:05:47.21\00:05:51.01 and all these reforms are nothing 00:05:51.05\00:05:53.35 if we don't have heart reform. 00:05:53.38\00:05:55.42 Amen. 00:05:55.45\00:05:56.79 So that's what... 00:05:56.82\00:05:58.15 And I'm still learning every day. 00:05:58.19\00:05:59.52 Yes. 00:05:59.55\00:06:00.89 So in other words, it's a journey. 00:06:00.92\00:06:02.26 It's a journey. That's right. 00:06:02.29\00:06:04.19 I just felt sanctification. Absolutely. 00:06:04.23\00:06:06.56 And sanctification is the work of a what? 00:06:06.59\00:06:09.03 A lifetime. A lifetime. 00:06:09.06\00:06:10.57 That's right. That's right. 00:06:10.60\00:06:12.03 I think we're about to have church in here. 00:06:12.07\00:06:17.34 I like the... 00:06:17.37\00:06:19.37 You said... What did you say? 00:06:19.41\00:06:21.54 I'd rather teach than preach? 00:06:21.58\00:06:22.91 I'm not much of a preacher. 00:06:22.94\00:06:24.28 Yes. 00:06:24.31\00:06:25.65 I hear you. 00:06:25.68\00:06:27.02 So when did God lead you into full time ministry? 00:06:27.05\00:06:31.35 Wow. 00:06:31.39\00:06:32.72 I remember when I attended GYC, back in 2009. 00:06:32.75\00:06:37.53 That's when I was first exposed to GYC, 00:06:37.56\00:06:39.16 I never heard about GYC. 00:06:39.19\00:06:40.53 And I was like, "Wow!" 00:06:40.56\00:06:41.90 So inspired, a lot of army of youth, 00:06:41.93\00:06:43.97 who want to work for God 00:06:44.00\00:06:45.80 and fight for God and just want to do His will. 00:06:45.83\00:06:48.80 It was so beautiful to see a lot of youth. 00:06:48.84\00:06:51.27 I've attended like at least five years in a row, 00:06:51.31\00:06:53.78 since then, the first time. 00:06:53.81\00:06:55.34 And I remember, you know, 00:06:55.38\00:06:57.81 meeting different people 00:06:57.85\00:07:00.02 who are in full time ministry and how fulfilled they were, 00:07:00.05\00:07:02.45 how happy they were. 00:07:02.48\00:07:04.09 And I think of Jesus 00:07:04.12\00:07:05.72 when he was engaged in full time ministry. 00:07:05.75\00:07:08.42 He was about his father's business. 00:07:08.46\00:07:10.59 And when I think of Paul who was a tent maker, 00:07:10.63\00:07:13.03 he used that to support his ministry, 00:07:13.06\00:07:14.86 he was an entrepreneur, 00:07:14.90\00:07:16.23 and he used that to support financially his ministry. 00:07:16.26\00:07:19.47 And that's where the Lord has led me 00:07:19.50\00:07:21.34 to where I am today. 00:07:21.37\00:07:22.94 Nice. Nice. 00:07:22.97\00:07:24.77 So you got led into full time ministry. 00:07:24.81\00:07:28.98 We'll start back, okay? 00:07:29.01\00:07:30.65 So you weren't a Christian growing up, 00:07:30.68\00:07:32.51 you had that encounter with Christ, 00:07:32.55\00:07:34.32 God led you into full time ministry, 00:07:34.35\00:07:38.12 and now when did you move into the country? 00:07:38.15\00:07:43.76 Well, 00:07:43.79\00:07:46.53 I started moving fully officially 00:07:46.56\00:07:48.66 into the country this year in July first. 00:07:48.70\00:07:52.13 And the strong impression of country 00:07:52.17\00:07:56.24 living was back in 2015, though, 00:07:56.27\00:07:59.31 2016, I would say. Okay. 00:07:59.34\00:08:01.24 I [distorted audio] 00:08:01.28\00:08:02.94 moved back to Quebec 00:08:02.98\00:08:04.31 and run into some friends who... 00:08:04.35\00:08:05.91 And I always pray and ask God 00:08:05.95\00:08:07.82 to send me to likeminded individuals, 00:08:07.85\00:08:09.85 Christians, 00:08:09.88\00:08:11.25 who seek to do His will 00:08:11.29\00:08:14.32 and do what is right in the sight. 00:08:14.36\00:08:16.73 And not just that, 00:08:16.76\00:08:18.43 to seek a richer, higher experience. 00:08:18.46\00:08:21.33 And so I learned about the beauties of country living, 00:08:21.36\00:08:25.03 especially, I have a son and so forth, 00:08:25.07\00:08:26.84 and the importance of not having him around 00:08:26.87\00:08:29.87 knowing growing up in the city myself as a young child. 00:08:29.90\00:08:33.51 I didn't want that for my son. 00:08:33.54\00:08:35.94 So that really struck a chord in my heart, 00:08:35.98\00:08:39.15 and the strong impression rule 00:08:39.18\00:08:41.82 more and more as the years came, 00:08:41.85\00:08:43.52 I went from city to suburb, and then by faith, 00:08:43.55\00:08:48.36 didn't know where I was going packed my bags. 00:08:48.39\00:08:51.43 But the Lord told me, 00:08:51.46\00:08:52.79 "Sheldine, you need to move now." 00:08:52.83\00:08:55.03 And I said, "Okay, Lord," 00:08:55.06\00:08:57.83 and I shared my testimony on my channel on YouTube. 00:08:57.87\00:09:01.37 And basically, I had no vehicle, 00:09:01.40\00:09:05.04 I had no idea where I was going. 00:09:05.07\00:09:06.68 I was searching for options for purchase, 00:09:06.71\00:09:09.68 even for rent, 00:09:09.71\00:09:11.31 I was open for options. 00:09:11.35\00:09:13.98 I said, 00:09:14.02\00:09:15.35 "Lord, you decide where you want me to go, 00:09:15.38\00:09:17.99 but I trust You. 00:09:18.02\00:09:19.52 You lead the way." 00:09:19.55\00:09:20.96 And let me tell you, 00:09:20.99\00:09:22.32 when you surrender all, not some but all to him, 00:09:22.36\00:09:25.93 god does miraculous things in your life? 00:09:25.96\00:09:28.70 I was able to [distorted audio]. 00:09:28.73\00:09:31.03 I was able to even my previous lover 00:09:31.07\00:09:34.07 who was able to take care of all that for me, 00:09:34.10\00:09:37.87 don't mind, it just moving 00:09:37.91\00:09:39.24 you have to break the lease, 00:09:39.27\00:09:40.61 and I'm not used to doing that at all. 00:09:40.64\00:09:43.38 And so my encouragement is that... 00:09:43.41\00:09:45.05 And he took care of it. 00:09:45.08\00:09:46.41 He took care of everything. Yeah. 00:09:46.45\00:09:47.98 So [distorted audio] I'll take care of it. 00:09:48.02\00:09:49.78 So Lord provided for me to get a place 00:09:49.82\00:09:51.69 provided a tenant to take over where I was. 00:09:51.72\00:09:55.09 So there was no issue there. 00:09:55.12\00:09:56.62 And God provided a vehicle 00:09:56.66\00:09:58.09 when I settled into the new place. 00:09:58.13\00:09:59.86 Wow! 00:09:59.89\00:10:01.23 And the first pivotal thing I asked the Lord was, 00:10:01.26\00:10:04.60 "Send me where You want me to minister 00:10:04.63\00:10:06.57 and where I could be ministered onto." 00:10:06.60\00:10:08.87 Sometimes we get caught up in ministering other people, 00:10:08.90\00:10:11.01 but we need to be ministered on to as well a man. 00:10:11.04\00:10:14.14 So when see God's will first, He will fulfill the rest. 00:10:14.18\00:10:19.48 Because it's His desire, it's His will, 00:10:19.51\00:10:21.25 so He will take care of it. 00:10:21.28\00:10:22.62 That's right. Where He leads, He provides. 00:10:22.65\00:10:25.65 And He provided a vehicle 00:10:25.69\00:10:27.02 when I got settled in 00:10:27.06\00:10:28.39 and everything else came in through. 00:10:28.42\00:10:29.76 That's huge. 00:10:29.79\00:10:31.13 You took that step out on faith and God blessed that, 00:10:31.16\00:10:33.26 God honored that. 00:10:33.29\00:10:35.56 Your ministry is entitled rest... 00:10:35.60\00:10:37.73 It's called Restor8tion Ministries. 00:10:37.77\00:10:40.17 How did you come up with that name? 00:10:40.20\00:10:43.47 So it's based from Psalms 51:12. 00:10:43.51\00:10:46.68 "Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, 00:10:46.71\00:10:49.24 and uphold me with thy free spirit." 00:10:49.28\00:10:51.01 And so God wants to restore us back to Eden. 00:10:51.05\00:10:54.98 And not just physically but mentally, emotionally, 00:10:55.02\00:10:59.65 and most importantly spiritually. 00:10:59.69\00:11:02.09 Hence that's where 00:11:02.12\00:11:03.46 the Restor8tion Ministries came from. 00:11:03.49\00:11:05.29 Got you. Nice. 00:13:17.43\00:13:18.76 And you have scriptures in there. 00:13:18.79\00:13:21.10 And yes, scriptures. Yeah. 00:13:21.13\00:13:22.60 He's a great physician, 00:13:22.63\00:13:23.97 and I lean on Him for everything. 00:13:24.00\00:13:25.57 Amen. Amen. 00:13:25.60\00:13:26.94 Now, you said something about emotional eating. 00:13:26.97\00:13:30.64 Why don't you break that down? 00:13:30.67\00:13:32.01 What is emotional eating?
