Did you know that 00:00:01.36\00:00:02.70 you could study the Bible in 5D? 00:00:02.73\00:00:04.33 Stay tuned to find out about a unique system 00:00:04.37\00:00:06.80 that you can implement that will help you 00:00:06.84\00:00:08.87 see the Bible like never before. 00:00:08.90\00:00:11.17 My name is Jason Bradley, 00:00:11.21\00:00:12.81 and you're watching Urban Report. 00:00:12.84\00:00:14.98 Hello and welcome to Urban Report. 00:00:37.23\00:00:39.53 My guest today is Pastor Ivor Myers, 00:00:39.57\00:00:41.94 Speaker and Director of Power of the Lamb Ministries 00:00:41.97\00:00:45.04 and he is also the co-host of Dare to Dream Networks, 00:00:45.07\00:00:48.68 Salvation in Symbols and Signs. 00:00:48.71\00:00:51.31 Welcome to Urban Report, Pastor Myers. 00:00:51.35\00:00:56.22 Thank you, Jason. Thanks for having me. 00:00:56.25\00:00:59.25 I'm looking forward to this program today. 00:00:59.29\00:01:02.02 I think we had a good 00:01:02.06\00:01:05.93 study in our last session. 00:01:05.96\00:01:08.53 And I know we're continuing on 00:01:08.56\00:01:10.07 so I'm looking forward to start getting deep into it. 00:01:10.10\00:01:12.97 Absolutely, absolutely. 00:01:13.00\00:01:14.47 And, you know, you've taken it five dimensions deep. 00:01:14.50\00:01:19.87 I mean, you with this photo theology thing, 00:01:19.91\00:01:22.14 we're going five dimensions deep. 00:01:22.18\00:01:24.51 So, you know, for our viewers 00:01:24.55\00:01:26.31 that haven't seen part one, 00:01:26.35\00:01:29.12 why don't you give us a little recap 00:01:29.15\00:01:31.12 of what photo theology is, 00:01:31.15\00:01:33.22 and then also touch on the five dimensions? 00:01:33.25\00:01:38.36 Okay, so basically, 00:01:38.39\00:01:41.26 photo theology is a term 00:01:41.30\00:01:44.60 that I've coined, and that term is the phrase 00:01:44.63\00:01:47.87 that I use to describe my method of Bible study. 00:01:47.90\00:01:51.97 Photo theology is the art of studying 00:01:52.01\00:01:54.88 the Bible through the use of images. 00:01:54.91\00:01:57.91 We've all heard that seeing a picture 00:01:57.95\00:01:59.75 is worth 1000 words. 00:01:59.78\00:02:02.95 So I take that philosophy and apply it to the scriptures. 00:02:02.98\00:02:08.52 So I'm basically teaching my students 00:02:08.56\00:02:11.63 how to see the Bible in pictures. 00:02:11.66\00:02:14.40 And then how to take these pictures 00:02:14.43\00:02:15.90 and learn to create storylines 00:02:15.93\00:02:19.10 with the different pictures, 00:02:19.13\00:02:20.74 do different things with the different images 00:02:20.77\00:02:23.81 and I found is that 00:02:23.84\00:02:27.51 it just 10xes 00:02:27.54\00:02:30.71 your ability to understand scripture. 00:02:30.75\00:02:35.38 Kids are using it, 00:02:35.42\00:02:36.75 people who have been studying for years, you know, 00:02:36.79\00:02:39.95 from whether they're young or old. 00:02:39.99\00:02:42.52 Using this system, they're beginning to see 00:02:42.56\00:02:45.39 and get so much more out of their Bible study. 00:02:45.43\00:02:48.76 And so that's what 00:02:48.80\00:02:50.13 we're going to be talking about today. 00:02:50.17\00:02:51.50 That is a bird's eye view or I should say 00:02:51.53\00:02:54.47 a nutshell description of what photo theology is. 00:02:54.50\00:02:56.57 Got you. 00:02:56.60\00:02:57.94 So now when you say you teach your students 00:02:57.97\00:03:00.38 to draw other like pictures from the stories, how do you? 00:03:00.41\00:03:06.18 Do you mean like you help them to see parallels? 00:03:06.21\00:03:09.08 So like, give us an example 00:03:09.12\00:03:11.75 of some parallels that you can see? 00:03:11.79\00:03:16.62 So the idea and we talked a little bit 00:03:16.66\00:03:20.93 about this in the last program. 00:03:20.96\00:03:23.83 Before I do that, 00:03:23.87\00:03:26.53 let me give a little bit of foundation. 00:03:26.57\00:03:28.17 So we were talking about the photo theology palace. 00:03:28.20\00:03:31.31 And remember that we discussed this, you know, 00:03:31.34\00:03:34.24 this imaginary palace that has 24 different rooms, 00:03:34.28\00:03:39.58 right, six floors, 24 rooms. 00:03:39.61\00:03:42.78 Each room is a different principle 00:03:42.82\00:03:47.66 in photo theology. 00:03:47.69\00:03:49.86 So one of the rooms that we discussed 00:03:49.89\00:03:52.46 on our last program 00:03:52.49\00:03:56.43 was the concentration 00:03:56.46\00:03:58.90 which is one of the foundational rules 00:03:58.93\00:04:03.51 or principles when it comes to photo theology. 00:04:03.54\00:04:06.41 It is the art of taking images 00:04:06.44\00:04:08.91 or pictures and looking for a match, 00:04:08.94\00:04:11.71 looking for the comparison 00:04:11.75\00:04:15.85 with Christ in particular. 00:04:15.88\00:04:17.95 So I don't know if I shared this 00:04:17.99\00:04:19.99 or not in the last program, we talked about Waldo. 00:04:20.02\00:04:23.36 Or I'll often share that analogy of those little books, 00:04:23.39\00:04:26.83 Waldo, Finding Waldo. 00:04:26.86\00:04:30.43 You know, in those books, 00:04:30.47\00:04:32.57 the object is to find 00:04:32.60\00:04:34.17 Waldo on every page of the book. 00:04:34.20\00:04:36.50 Right, no matter how much detail 00:04:36.54\00:04:39.17 is on the page, you know, 00:04:39.21\00:04:40.88 Waldo is somewhere on the page. 00:04:40.91\00:04:43.38 And so photo theology 00:04:43.41\00:04:44.98 approaches the Bible with that idea in mind 00:04:45.01\00:04:48.78 that Christ is on every page of the scriptures. 00:04:48.82\00:04:53.56 So when you begin to look at stories 00:04:53.59\00:04:56.56 with that idea of where is Christ, right? 00:04:56.59\00:05:00.50 With that concept of where is Christ in the story, 00:05:00.53\00:05:03.60 where is He in the text? 00:05:03.63\00:05:04.97 Where is He in the parable? 00:05:05.00\00:05:07.07 That's when things begin to jump off the page. 00:05:07.10\00:05:09.50 So one example 00:05:09.54\00:05:10.87 that I would give is the story 00:05:10.91\00:05:14.11 of Elijah and Elisha. 00:05:14.14\00:05:17.41 Okay, I do not know 00:05:17.45\00:05:18.88 if I shared this on the last program or not. 00:05:18.91\00:05:21.62 But Elijah 00:05:21.65\00:05:26.96 came before Elisha. 00:05:26.99\00:05:30.26 Elijah, there is a transition of power 00:05:30.29\00:05:34.83 from Elijah to Elisha after Jordan. 00:05:34.86\00:05:39.60 Elijah is then taken off the scene 00:05:39.63\00:05:44.31 and the disciples of Elijah 00:05:44.34\00:05:47.18 go on to follow Elisha. 00:05:47.21\00:05:51.08 Elisha has a double portion of the power that Elijah had. 00:05:51.11\00:05:56.32 I think I see where you're going with this. 00:05:56.35\00:05:58.45 Okay. 00:05:58.49\00:06:00.69 And Elijah... 00:06:00.72\00:06:02.36 Elisha's first miracle after crossing the Jordan, 00:06:02.39\00:06:08.13 was he provided what, 00:06:08.16\00:06:10.07 he provided drink for the thirsty. 00:06:10.10\00:06:14.10 All right, so you just said, 00:06:14.14\00:06:16.50 "I think I see 00:06:16.54\00:06:17.87 where you're going with this," right? 00:06:17.91\00:06:20.58 For those that are listening, 00:06:20.61\00:06:22.61 you may be, in your minds right now like, 00:06:22.64\00:06:24.98 wait, what? 00:06:25.01\00:06:26.41 And that's probably 00:06:26.45\00:06:27.78 because as I was giving you that picture, 00:06:27.82\00:06:30.39 you started playing the concentration game, right? 00:06:30.42\00:06:34.09 We described 00:06:34.12\00:06:35.52 in the last program concentration game. 00:06:35.56\00:06:37.86 We have all the cards facing down. 00:06:37.89\00:06:40.10 There was a card game I played when I was little. 00:06:40.13\00:06:42.10 I have all the cards put facing down. 00:06:42.13\00:06:44.40 And the objective is to find matching cards. 00:06:44.43\00:06:47.80 You have to remember 00:06:47.84\00:06:49.17 where you saw the matching card, 00:06:49.20\00:06:51.11 and when you find it, you know, 00:06:51.14\00:06:52.91 that's a point or that's a victory, 00:06:52.94\00:06:54.44 whatever it, you have them describe it. 00:06:54.48\00:06:56.75 This is the same thing. 00:06:56.78\00:06:58.61 When I describe this 00:06:58.65\00:07:00.55 many of you perhaps began to think, 00:07:00.58\00:07:03.28 wait a minute, that reminds me 00:07:03.32\00:07:07.09 of Jesus and John the Baptist. 00:07:07.12\00:07:11.03 Why? 00:07:11.06\00:07:12.53 Because there's a transition of power 00:07:12.56\00:07:15.06 from John the Baptist to Jesus at the Jordan. 00:07:15.10\00:07:20.27 After that transition of power, 00:07:20.30\00:07:22.37 John the Baptist is taken off the scene 00:07:22.40\00:07:26.07 and Jesus continues on. 00:07:26.11\00:07:29.34 Just as Elisha was more powerful than Elijah. 00:07:29.38\00:07:33.01 So John the Baptist said, 00:07:33.05\00:07:34.48 "I must decrease and He must increase." 00:07:34.52\00:07:40.09 The disciples of John the Baptist 00:07:40.12\00:07:43.32 go on to follow Jesus. 00:07:43.36\00:07:47.83 And Jesus' first miracle after crossing the Jordan, 00:07:47.86\00:07:52.20 is He turns water to wine. 00:07:52.23\00:07:56.07 So basically, all we did just now 00:07:56.10\00:08:00.38 was we just studied the Bible using images, 00:08:00.41\00:08:05.18 using pictures and stories 00:08:05.21\00:08:07.05 that most everyone who's ever studied the Bible 00:08:07.08\00:08:10.15 is already familiar with. 00:08:10.19\00:08:11.62 We just played a matching game. 00:08:11.65\00:08:13.62 And now we're like, "Wait a minute, what?" 00:08:13.66\00:08:15.62 Yes. Yes. 00:08:15.66\00:08:18.23 That excitement begins... 00:08:18.26\00:08:20.13 The story jumps off the page, 00:08:20.16\00:08:23.10 because you're studying it not just through words, 00:08:23.13\00:08:26.77 I'm not saying we do away with words, 00:08:26.80\00:08:28.77 but what's happening that you're bringing 00:08:28.80\00:08:30.81 a visual element to the stories. 00:08:30.84\00:08:33.74 And when you do that, things suddenly come to light. 00:08:33.78\00:08:38.31 Yeah, just jumps off the page at you. 00:08:38.35\00:08:40.95 So touch on the five dimensions, 00:08:40.98\00:08:44.72 because I remember you telling us that, you know, 00:08:44.75\00:08:48.86 we study in 2D as opposed to 5D. 00:08:48.89\00:08:51.89 Right. 00:08:54.96\00:08:56.30 So to recap about this five dimension... 00:08:56.33\00:08:59.83 By the way, the 5D room is short 00:08:59.87\00:09:02.90 for five dimensions is one of the rooms 00:09:02.94\00:09:06.01 in the photo theology palace. 00:09:06.04\00:09:10.25 And basically what that principle 00:09:10.28\00:09:12.65 does is it allows us to see the scriptures 00:09:12.68\00:09:14.98 in five dimensions, 00:09:15.02\00:09:16.35 those five dimensions are in order, 00:09:16.38\00:09:18.95 the literal dimension, and then the Christ dimension, 00:09:18.99\00:09:23.06 and then the me dimension, 00:09:23.09\00:09:24.89 and then the church dimension, and then the heaven dimension. 00:09:24.93\00:09:28.86 So the question you would ask in each dimension is, 00:09:28.90\00:09:33.00 how does this relate, you know, what am I studying? 00:09:33.03\00:09:35.30 What is the text saying, literally? 00:09:35.34\00:09:37.11 That's the literal dimension. 00:09:37.14\00:09:38.74 Then where is Jesus in the text or story? 00:09:38.77\00:09:41.64 That's the second dimension. 00:09:41.68\00:09:43.04 Then how does it relate to me? 00:09:43.08\00:09:44.41 That's the third dimension. 00:09:44.45\00:09:45.78 How does it relate to the church? 00:09:45.81\00:09:47.32 The fourth dimension. 00:09:47.35\00:09:48.68 How does it relate to heaven? Fifth dimension. 00:09:48.72\00:09:51.32 So I think last week we talked about the sanctuary. 00:09:51.35\00:09:55.66 And how in each, you know, there's literal sanctuary, 00:09:55.69\00:09:58.73 then Christ Himself as a temple is a sanctuary. 00:09:58.76\00:10:03.03 Destroy this temple, I will raise in three days. 00:10:03.06\00:10:05.47 Then I am a temple, then as a church 00:10:05.50\00:10:08.70 we are the temple of body of Christ, 00:10:08.74\00:10:10.74 and then there's a heavenly sanctuary. 00:10:10.77\00:10:12.91 We can do that 00:10:12.94\00:10:14.28 for different things in the scriptures, 00:10:14.31\00:10:15.64 we can do it for the priesthood. 00:10:15.68\00:10:17.35 In the Old Testament there was a literal priesthood, right? 00:10:17.38\00:10:19.91 That's the literal dimension. 00:10:19.95\00:10:21.52 And the second dimension, Christ is our high priest. 00:10:21.55\00:10:26.05 In the third dimension I am called to be a priest 00:10:26.09\00:10:29.22 and maybe the priests of my own household. 00:10:29.26\00:10:32.03 In the fourth dimension, we are a royal priesthood. 00:10:32.06\00:10:36.46 And the fifth dimension 00:10:36.50\00:10:38.03 we will be kings and priests with Him 00:10:38.07\00:10:40.80 for thousand years in heaven, right? 00:10:40.84\00:10:43.67 So basically, you're learning to see one text 00:10:43.71\00:10:48.44 in five different dimensions, one verse, one story, 00:10:48.48\00:10:52.61 five different dimensions. 00:10:52.65\00:10:54.42 This opens up, right, 00:10:54.45\00:10:57.09 the way that you study the scriptures 00:10:57.12\00:10:58.65 because as I said, 00:10:58.69\00:11:00.82 most people study the Bible in two dimensions. 00:11:00.86\00:11:05.23 That's the literal and then how does it relate to me? 00:11:05.26\00:11:09.36 I know, Jason, we also talked about the question room 00:11:09.40\00:11:13.77 when we were talking about asking the text questions. 00:11:13.80\00:11:15.64 I don't know if I mentioned this 00:11:15.67\00:11:17.21 when we talked last 00:11:17.24\00:11:19.27 but we talked about the challenge of, 00:11:19.31\00:11:22.61 you know, opening or asking questions, 00:11:22.64\00:11:25.98 as many questions as you can with the text, 00:11:26.01\00:11:28.85 50 questions, or 100 questions. 00:11:28.88\00:11:31.65 And then again, I don't remember 00:11:31.69\00:11:33.02 if we'd discuss this, 00:11:33.05\00:11:34.39 but we did that first and then 00:11:34.42\00:11:38.66 what I what I want to demonstrate 00:11:38.69\00:11:40.60 is that when most people, 00:11:40.63\00:11:42.06 when I need my students to ask the text questions, 00:11:42.10\00:11:44.80 this is before we do the dimensions room. 00:11:44.83\00:11:47.04 So when they get like 50 or 100 questions from the text, 00:11:47.07\00:11:51.14 and then I introduce them to the dimensions room, 00:11:51.17\00:11:54.08 and I'm like "Now, 00:11:54.11\00:11:55.44 you were only asking questions in one dimension." 00:11:55.48\00:11:59.28 Wow! 00:11:59.31\00:12:01.95 That's when their mind opens. Yeah. 00:12:01.98\00:12:03.82 And that's 50 to 100 questions 00:12:03.85\00:12:05.69 and in only one dimension 00:12:05.72\00:12:09.02 but yet there's five dimensions. 00:12:09.06\00:12:12.59 And there's five dimensions. 00:12:12.63\00:12:15.76 So the reason that I try to encourage my, 00:12:15.80\00:12:19.53 you know, my students ask the text questions, 00:12:19.57\00:12:21.80 because what happens is, 00:12:21.84\00:12:24.01 when you ask the text questions, 00:12:24.04\00:12:25.87 you begin to think about things about that text 00:12:25.91\00:12:28.61 that you maybe would never have thought 00:12:28.64\00:12:30.51 about before, right? 00:12:30.55\00:12:32.85 So our goal in the question room 00:12:32.88\00:12:35.68 is to learn how to become good detectives, 00:12:35.72\00:12:39.32 asking questions that 00:12:39.35\00:12:40.69 other people didn't even think about. 00:12:40.72\00:12:42.06 Yes. 00:12:42.09\00:12:43.43 And when you ask those questions, 00:12:43.46\00:12:44.79 they tend to lead you on thought patterns 00:12:44.83\00:12:46.96 where you're like, "Wait a minute, wait a minute. 00:12:47.00\00:12:48.96 I never thought about that before. 00:12:49.00\00:12:50.33 Well, if this happened because of this, 00:12:50.37\00:12:53.74 then oh, oh," 00:12:53.77\00:12:57.54 and that's when you get those ah-ah moments. 00:12:57.57\00:12:59.57 Got you. 00:12:59.61\00:13:00.94 So we actually have several graphics 00:13:00.98\00:13:05.35 that we didn't have a chance to get through last time. 00:13:05.38\00:13:09.32 Why don't you kind of touch on 00:13:09.35\00:13:13.05 what the importance 00:13:13.09\00:13:14.49 or significance of these graphics? 00:13:14.52\00:13:18.36 Okay. 00:13:18.39\00:13:21.50 So one of the rooms we talked about, 00:13:21.53\00:13:24.37 and this room was on the ground floor. 00:13:24.40\00:13:27.87 We talked about the 24 frames per second room, 00:13:27.90\00:13:31.77 we talked about the importance 00:13:31.81\00:13:33.14 of memorizing the themes of each chapter, 00:13:33.17\00:13:35.94 because that's how you're going to populate, 00:13:35.98\00:13:39.45 if you will, or furnish your photo theology palace. 00:13:39.48\00:13:44.32 The more pictures 00:13:44.35\00:13:45.69 you have in your photo theology palace, 00:13:45.72\00:13:47.66 the more effective your Bible study becomes. 00:13:47.69\00:13:51.49 So we basically created 00:13:51.53\00:13:54.36 this method of memorizing 00:13:54.40\00:13:59.93 the different themes of the chapters. 00:13:59.97\00:14:03.74 So the picture you were just sharing 00:14:03.77\00:14:06.71 is picture of planet earth with a 1 on top of it. 00:14:06.74\00:14:12.68 And that picture, when you see that picture, 00:14:12.71\00:14:16.15 the idea is to remember that 00:14:16.18\00:14:19.25 that is what is found in Genesis Chapter 1, 00:14:19.29\00:14:22.46 the creation of the earth. 00:14:22.49\00:14:25.69 And so when we see that image of creation of the earth 00:14:25.73\00:14:28.23 and we see the earth with a big 1 on it. 00:14:28.26\00:14:31.30 We're always gonna remember Genesis Chapter 1, creation. 00:14:31.33\00:14:34.90 That's supposed to be locked into our minds. 00:14:38.97\00:14:40.91 Yeah. 00:14:40.94\00:14:42.28 All right, what is the next picture? 00:14:42.31\00:14:43.65 Let's put the next one up. 00:14:43.68\00:14:47.32 That's the Genesis Chapter 1. 00:14:47.35\00:14:49.22 Let's put the... 00:14:49.25\00:14:50.79 Yeah, there we go. 00:14:50.82\00:14:53.96 So that looks to me, I'm picturing Adam and Eve. 00:14:53.99\00:14:57.49 Okay. 00:15:00.60\00:15:02.10 That image I can't... 00:15:02.13\00:15:03.47 For some reason I can't see it on my screen, 00:15:03.50\00:15:04.83 but I'll... There we go. 00:15:04.87\00:15:06.20 So here you have a picture of Adam and Eve. 00:15:06.23\00:15:09.64 Now I'm going to show you 00:15:09.67\00:15:11.97 something that you did not notice in this picture. 00:15:12.01\00:15:13.68 So look at Eve's hair, what do you see? 00:15:13.71\00:15:15.48 You said Eve's hair? Yes. 00:15:15.51\00:15:19.28 It seems... What it did tell us? 00:15:19.31\00:15:22.48 Oh, number two. Very good. 00:15:22.52\00:15:27.22 So I'm going to always remember that 00:15:27.26\00:15:30.86 when I think about 00:15:30.89\00:15:34.06 the Eve's hair in the shape of a 2, 00:15:34.10\00:15:36.63 I'm always gonna remember, 00:15:36.67\00:15:38.00 yeah, that's Genesis Chapter 2, 00:15:38.03\00:15:40.27 that's where we focus in on Adam and Eve. 00:15:40.30\00:15:42.67 Wow! Right. 00:15:42.70\00:15:45.87 You're using memory devices, 00:15:45.91\00:15:49.31 using images to help you 00:15:49.34\00:15:51.75 remember the theme of each chapter, 00:15:51.78\00:15:54.55 right, so the next one. 00:15:54.58\00:15:56.28 All right. 00:15:56.32\00:15:57.65 We'll put the next picture up here. 00:15:57.69\00:16:01.56 Okay, so there you see the serpent 00:16:01.59\00:16:06.09 and you will notice that the serpent looks like 00:16:06.13\00:16:08.66 he's in the shape of a 3. 00:16:08.70\00:16:10.63 You also see that 00:16:10.67\00:16:12.00 the tree looks like it's in the shape of a 3. 00:16:12.03\00:16:16.81 So I'm connecting the serpent and the tree with the number 3 00:16:16.84\00:16:22.34 to always remember when I get to Genesis 3, 00:16:22.38\00:16:25.51 that's the story of the tree, 00:16:25.55\00:16:28.18 that's the story of the serpent. 00:16:28.22\00:16:32.22 When I do this, what begins to happen is 00:16:32.25\00:16:35.72 I'm now depending on these images, right, 00:16:35.76\00:16:38.86 to wake up my memory. 00:16:38.89\00:16:42.70 So now I'm thinking planet earth, 00:16:42.73\00:16:46.87 I'm thinking Eve's hair, 00:16:46.90\00:16:48.50 I'm thinking the tree in the shape of a 3 00:16:48.54\00:16:52.07 and I begin to be able to go move rapidly 00:16:52.11\00:16:55.14 through these chapters going "Yeah, 00:16:55.18\00:16:57.45 Genesis 1, creation, Genesis 2, Adam and Eve, Genesis 3, 00:16:57.48\00:17:01.42 that's the tree, Genesis 4, 00:17:01.45\00:17:03.08 the picture that you see on your screen now 00:17:03.12\00:17:05.12 is the story of Cain killing his brother. 00:17:05.15\00:17:08.96 I see blood on the rock, the blood is in the shape of 4. 00:17:08.99\00:17:14.70 I'm going to always remember 00:17:14.73\00:17:16.20 whenever I see that image in my mind, 00:17:16.23\00:17:18.90 I'm gonna remember that 00:17:18.93\00:17:20.27 Genesis Chapter 4 is the story of Cain killing Abel. 00:17:20.30\00:17:24.31 Wow. 00:17:24.34\00:17:26.14 And we have two more pictures. 00:17:26.17\00:17:30.51 All right, so this is Genesis Chapter what? 00:17:30.55\00:17:34.28 Is that 6? Should be obvious right there. 00:17:34.32\00:17:37.45 That's 6, the 6 has been tripped on 00:17:37.49\00:17:40.06 its side to be in the shape of a boat. 00:17:40.09\00:17:44.99 I'm always gonna remember when I see that 6 mentally, 00:17:45.03\00:17:48.70 that that is a story of Noah building the ark. 00:17:48.73\00:17:51.83 Yes. Yes. 00:17:51.87\00:17:54.00 And our sixth picture. Okay. 00:17:54.04\00:17:59.81 Now what is this? Now this is... 00:17:59.84\00:18:03.14 Yeah, this is Genesis Chapter 17. 00:18:03.18\00:18:04.68 Okay. 00:18:04.71\00:18:07.28 And Genesis Chapter 17, 00:18:07.32\00:18:10.79 the 17 is in the shape of a scissor. 00:18:10.82\00:18:16.79 This is a painful chapter. 00:18:16.83\00:18:20.93 This is where Abraham is circumcised. 00:18:20.96\00:18:24.33 Oh, yeah, that is a painful chapter. 00:18:24.37\00:18:28.24 That's right. 00:18:28.27\00:18:29.60 You will never forget that Genesis 17 is a chapter 00:18:29.64\00:18:32.34 that Abraham is circumcised 00:18:32.37\00:18:33.74 because we see the 1 00:18:33.78\00:18:35.34 and the 7 in the shape of a pair of scissors. 00:18:35.38\00:18:40.38 That will remind me "Oh, yeah, that's a painful chapter." 00:18:40.42\00:18:43.82 Like, think about it, feel the pain, right? 00:18:43.85\00:18:46.15 Like, everything that you can, 00:18:46.19\00:18:48.16 when we're talking about these chapters 00:18:48.19\00:18:50.96 you want to bring every sense 00:18:50.99\00:18:52.93 you possibly can into it, right? 00:18:52.96\00:18:54.93 So when you're talking about Cain or the tree in Genesis 3, 00:18:54.96\00:19:00.74 think of the taste of the fruit. 00:19:00.77\00:19:02.97 Think of every... 00:19:03.00\00:19:04.51 employ every sense 00:19:04.54\00:19:07.24 to make that image stick in your mind. 00:19:07.28\00:19:10.81 So the reason that we're doing this, 00:19:10.85\00:19:12.91 Jason, is because again, 00:19:12.95\00:19:15.08 we're training our minds how to think in pictures. 00:19:15.12\00:19:18.32 Got you. Got you, photo theology. 00:19:18.35\00:19:21.02 Now okay, I know some people 00:19:21.06\00:19:23.53 have seen you preach and all of that stuff, 00:19:23.56\00:19:25.79 and they have to be wondering, 00:19:25.83\00:19:27.73 how do you prepare your sermons? 00:19:27.76\00:19:32.37 Yeah. 00:19:32.40\00:19:34.47 So this is, to me, 00:19:34.50\00:19:39.14 this is a huge advantage to photo theology. 00:19:39.17\00:19:42.71 Let me address another issue here while we're at this. 00:19:46.61\00:19:51.12 So one of the problems that I hear most often 00:19:51.15\00:19:54.29 when people say, you know, 00:19:54.32\00:19:55.66 "Hey, this is my struggle 00:19:55.69\00:19:57.06 with Bible study is the issue of time." 00:19:57.09\00:19:59.76 Okay. 00:19:59.79\00:20:01.83 "I don't have time to Bible study." 00:20:01.86\00:20:03.70 Right? 00:20:03.73\00:20:05.93 I don't know if you run into that issue, Jason. 00:20:05.97\00:20:09.50 "We're so busy. 00:20:09.54\00:20:11.37 We don't have time to study" 00:20:11.41\00:20:12.91 and that is, you know, a huge component. 00:20:12.94\00:20:16.28 So photo theology 00:20:16.31\00:20:18.28 totally destroys that. 00:20:18.31\00:20:22.38 I'm not gonna say an excuse, 00:20:22.42\00:20:24.79 but it moves that out of the way. 00:20:24.82\00:20:26.32 It answers that problem. 00:20:26.35\00:20:28.79 I'm gonna say it that way because it's a genuine problem. 00:20:28.82\00:20:30.76 People are busy, 00:20:30.79\00:20:32.13 they got a lot of things going on, 00:20:32.16\00:20:33.50 things, da-da-da. 00:20:33.53\00:20:34.86 Right? 00:20:34.90\00:20:36.23 Photo theology answers the problem. 00:20:36.26\00:20:40.14 Why? 00:20:40.17\00:20:42.07 Because when I have Genesis 6 00:20:42.10\00:20:46.61 and Genesis 5, and Genesis 4, 00:20:46.64\00:20:48.94 and Genesis 3, and Genesis 17, 00:20:48.98\00:20:51.91 when I have those stories 00:20:51.95\00:20:53.75 locked in my mind, 00:20:53.78\00:20:58.35 I can now do Bible study in my mind 00:20:58.39\00:21:03.96 while I'm driving, 00:21:03.99\00:21:06.66 while I'm doing the dishes, while I'm out exercising, 00:21:06.70\00:21:12.10 my Bible study is no longer limited to, 00:21:12.13\00:21:15.60 "Okay, it is now time to sit down 00:21:15.64\00:21:18.07 and open my Bible so that I can Bible study." 00:21:18.11\00:21:21.31 I got you. Do you catch what I'm saying? 00:21:21.34\00:21:22.68 Wow. 00:21:22.71\00:21:24.51 You have just 10x once again, 00:21:24.55\00:21:27.62 your Bible study time. 00:21:27.65\00:21:32.49 If I have all the stories 00:21:32.52\00:21:35.26 of Revelation in my mind. 00:21:35.29\00:21:39.53 Like, I'll give you an example. 00:21:39.56\00:21:40.90 Right now if I want to do a study 00:21:40.93\00:21:42.43 on the seven churches and the seven seals, 00:21:42.46\00:21:46.37 I typically will not have to go to my Bible 00:21:46.40\00:21:50.01 and open it up and say, 00:21:50.04\00:21:51.37 "Okay, it is time for me to study the seven churches." 00:21:51.41\00:21:54.61 Because I have it here, my Bible study is here. 00:21:54.64\00:21:59.31 Wow! See, that's huge. 00:21:59.35\00:22:02.42 That is stored. Yeah. 00:22:02.45\00:22:05.05 So when it comes time for me to put together my sermon, 00:22:05.09\00:22:07.89 it's pretty much already happened here. 00:22:11.59\00:22:16.90 When I go to the Bible, 00:22:16.93\00:22:18.27 all I'm doing now is I'm finding the verses 00:22:18.30\00:22:24.01 that were already right here. 00:22:24.04\00:22:26.94 Got you. 00:22:26.98\00:22:28.31 I'm putting together storyline 00:22:28.34\00:22:30.45 that was already put together right here. 00:22:30.48\00:22:32.61 Yes, yes. Right. 00:22:32.65\00:22:36.42 That's your... 00:22:36.45\00:22:38.95 because we're memorizing verses, 00:22:38.99\00:22:40.69 a lot of people, "Oh, man, 00:22:40.72\00:22:42.26 I got to memories the whole Bible. 00:22:42.29\00:22:43.83 Yeah, my memory is not... 00:22:43.86\00:22:45.19 I can't, you know, that's never gonna happen." 00:22:45.23\00:22:47.40 All right, let's translate 00:22:47.43\00:22:49.26 those verses into images. 00:22:49.30\00:22:53.84 "Oh, okay, yeah, yeah, I could do that." 00:22:53.87\00:22:55.84 Let's put that in your photo theology palace. 00:22:55.87\00:22:58.97 Wow. Right. 00:22:59.01\00:23:00.74 So in a sense, I'm showing people 00:23:00.78\00:23:04.55 you do have a photographic memory. 00:23:04.58\00:23:06.48 Yeah. 00:23:06.51\00:23:07.85 And see, that's huge with that Bible study, 00:23:07.88\00:23:10.29 like in your mind, because you can be on the go, 00:23:10.32\00:23:13.22 it doesn't matter where you are, 00:23:13.25\00:23:14.76 you can be studying the Word in your mind. 00:23:14.79\00:23:17.03 And when there comes a time 00:23:17.06\00:23:18.63 where we don't have access to our Bibles, you know... 00:23:18.66\00:23:22.93 Absolutely. 00:23:22.96\00:23:24.30 That will come, it'll be that much more incredible 00:23:24.33\00:23:29.84 during that time as well and needed as well. 00:23:29.87\00:23:33.84 Absolutely. So... 00:23:33.88\00:23:35.58 So that kind of brings up... 00:23:35.61\00:23:37.25 Now, what are you gonna say? Go ahead. 00:23:37.28\00:23:38.61 That kind of brings up what? 00:23:38.65\00:23:40.85 I was gonna say that that what I just talked about, 00:23:40.88\00:23:44.62 kind of brings us into another room, 00:23:44.65\00:23:46.49 which I don't think we talked about 00:23:46.52\00:23:48.86 in our last program, which was the freestyle room. 00:23:48.89\00:23:50.69 Oh, biblical free styling. Biblical free styling. 00:23:50.73\00:23:56.06 So there are two different freestyle routes. 00:23:56.10\00:23:58.83 There is the biblical freestyle, 00:23:58.87\00:24:01.10 and there's the nature freestyle. 00:24:01.14\00:24:04.17 So let me talk about the nature freestyle. 00:24:04.21\00:24:07.04 That's what I want to focus on today, and it's this. 00:24:07.08\00:24:11.28 I believe Jesus was a master freestyler. 00:24:11.31\00:24:15.28 Now when I say the word freestyle 00:24:15.32\00:24:17.85 or the term freestyle, in the hip hop industry, 00:24:17.89\00:24:20.96 this is what we would do, 00:24:20.99\00:24:22.66 we would often freestyle 00:24:22.69\00:24:25.26 and what that meant was, 00:24:25.29\00:24:27.13 you had to come up spontaneously with a runner. 00:24:27.16\00:24:31.53 Okay? 00:24:31.57\00:24:32.90 It was the art of spontaneous rhyming. 00:24:32.93\00:24:37.01 So in a biblical sense, 00:24:37.04\00:24:39.54 the reason I'm using that term in a biblical sense is this. 00:24:39.57\00:24:43.85 Jesus, I believe Jesus, 00:24:43.88\00:24:47.08 He didn't pre plan a lot of the things 00:24:47.12\00:24:49.08 He was going to say, right? 00:24:49.12\00:24:51.49 He wasn't taking notes like, 00:24:51.52\00:24:52.85 "Oh, yeah, consider the lilies of the field." 00:24:52.89\00:24:55.16 I think he was in the field, right, 00:24:55.19\00:24:58.36 talking to the people 00:24:58.39\00:24:59.73 and He looked at the lilies and be like, 00:24:59.76\00:25:02.96 "Consider the lilies of the field." 00:25:03.00\00:25:04.33 Uh-huh. Uh-huh. 00:25:04.37\00:25:06.74 Jesus... 00:25:06.77\00:25:08.50 The sheep and the goats, right? 00:25:08.54\00:25:10.37 He spontaneously would take object lessons 00:25:10.41\00:25:15.31 from nature 00:25:15.34\00:25:17.05 and make it applicable to the gospel. 00:25:17.08\00:25:18.41 Yeah. 00:25:18.45\00:25:19.78 And he tailored it to the people 00:25:19.81\00:25:21.15 He was speaking to. 00:25:21.18\00:25:22.68 Absolutely. 00:25:22.72\00:25:25.72 So one of the things I encourage my students to do 00:25:25.75\00:25:28.56 in the freestyle room is this, 00:25:28.59\00:25:30.76 I want you when you're driving to work, 00:25:30.79\00:25:34.83 I need you to start thinking about object lessons 00:25:34.86\00:25:38.13 regarding driving to work. 00:25:38.17\00:25:41.34 Right? 00:25:41.37\00:25:42.70 When you're on the road driving, 00:25:42.74\00:25:44.41 I want you to think about object lessons. 00:25:44.44\00:25:46.27 "Okay. 00:25:46.31\00:25:48.28 We are all on the road of life." 00:25:48.31\00:25:50.11 Yes, that's right. You're on the road of life. 00:25:50.15\00:25:52.75 And, you know, we need to be careful 00:25:52.78\00:25:55.58 of what exit we get off because we... 00:25:55.62\00:25:57.72 Yes, yes. 00:25:57.75\00:25:59.09 And you start making analogies, right? 00:25:59.12\00:26:02.89 Of the very thing you're doing in real life right there. 00:26:02.92\00:26:05.69 Yeah. 00:26:05.73\00:26:07.96 So what this does is it enables you, 00:26:08.00\00:26:11.00 if you're cleaning out your garage, 00:26:11.03\00:26:13.70 I want you to think of object lessons about 00:26:13.74\00:26:17.14 cleaning out your garage. 00:26:17.17\00:26:18.51 Wow, so there's a sermon in everything. 00:26:18.54\00:26:19.87 If you're doing dishing, 00:26:19.91\00:26:22.64 there's a sermon in everything, right? 00:26:22.68\00:26:24.15 Yes. 00:26:24.18\00:26:25.55 We've got about one and a half minute left, 00:26:25.58\00:26:27.35 I know you can't see the clock, 00:26:27.38\00:26:28.72 but I want you to know, we got a minute and a half. 00:26:28.75\00:26:30.35 And I want people to know how to access this course. 00:26:30.39\00:26:35.79 So where can they go to get this course? 00:26:35.82\00:26:40.66 It's powerofthelamb.com, that's my website. 00:26:40.70\00:26:45.03 That's the easiest place to go and look up photo theology. 00:26:45.07\00:26:49.07 And you'll see how you can get access to the course 00:26:49.10\00:26:51.37 and I can't believe we just spent half an hour. 00:26:51.41\00:26:52.77 That's crazy. 00:26:52.81\00:26:54.14 I know it just flies by, I mean, there is so much. 00:26:54.18\00:26:57.91 What I love too 00:26:57.95\00:26:59.28 is how you're able to juice it down, 00:26:59.31\00:27:01.98 see it in pictures, and study on the go. 00:27:02.02\00:27:07.66 Yeah. That's right. That is incredible. 00:27:07.69\00:27:09.32 What would you say to that 00:27:09.36\00:27:11.26 individual that has never given Jesus a chance? 00:27:11.29\00:27:14.13 We've got about maybe 30 seconds. 00:27:14.16\00:27:18.50 I would say that for me personally, 00:27:18.53\00:27:22.40 the best thing that 00:27:22.44\00:27:23.97 I ever did was to give Jesus a chance, 00:27:24.01\00:27:26.27 He changed my life. 00:27:26.31\00:27:29.34 There is nothing that 00:27:29.38\00:27:30.71 I regret about giving Him that chance. 00:27:30.75\00:27:33.01 And so I would encourage you to do the same thing. 00:27:33.05\00:27:37.89 I think there is nothing to lose, 00:27:37.92\00:27:40.06 you have nothing to lose. 00:27:40.09\00:27:41.76 I think if you give Jesus a chance, 00:27:41.79\00:27:43.96 allow Him to come into your heart. 00:27:43.99\00:27:45.93 You will see what a blessing it is to live 00:27:45.96\00:27:50.23 with a blessed hope residing in your heart. 00:27:50.27\00:27:53.03 Amen. Amen. 00:27:53.07\00:27:54.87 Yeah, I've seen a little bit of your testimony 00:27:54.90\00:27:58.84 and how He's transformed your life 00:27:58.87\00:28:00.41 and that's truly a blessing. 00:28:00.44\00:28:01.78 I want to thank you for joining us 00:28:01.81\00:28:03.48 here on Urban Report. 00:28:03.51\00:28:05.28 And I want to thank you for tuning in. 00:28:05.31\00:28:06.78 Well, we've reached the end of another program. 00:28:06.82\00:28:08.68 Join us next time and remember, 00:28:08.72\00:28:10.05 it just wouldn't be the same without you. 00:28:10.09\00:28:11.82
