What's your specialty? 00:04:05.17\00:04:09.78 Well, my training actually was in surgery. 00:04:09.81\00:04:12.58 Okay. 00:04:12.61\00:04:13.95 But now I practice a mobile family practice 00:04:13.98\00:04:17.69 with a emphasis on natural holistic 00:04:17.72\00:04:22.39 type of presentation. 00:04:22.42\00:04:24.33 Okay. 00:04:24.36\00:04:25.69 Using the methods that God gave us to get well. 00:04:25.73\00:04:30.97 So would you say it's like kind of 00:04:31.00\00:04:32.67 integrative medicine or... 00:04:32.70\00:04:35.44 Yes, it's a form of integrative medicine, yes. 00:04:35.47\00:04:38.34 Okay. Okay. 00:04:38.37\00:04:39.97 And how long have you been practicing? 00:04:40.01\00:04:43.48 I'm an old man, Jason. 00:04:43.51\00:04:45.88 I started, actual, I finished my residency in '83. 00:04:45.91\00:04:51.35 And that's when I switched 00:04:51.39\00:04:52.72 from surgery to holistic medicine. 00:04:52.75\00:04:55.19 So I've been practicing since 1983. 00:04:55.22\00:04:56.76 Wow. 00:04:56.79\00:04:58.13 And what made you decide to go that route? 00:04:58.16\00:04:59.59 Before you were born. 00:04:59.63\00:05:00.96 Yeah, that that actually was a few years 00:05:01.00\00:05:03.37 before I came into the world. 00:05:03.40\00:05:05.23 Yeah. Yes, yes. 00:05:05.27\00:05:08.44 So what made you decide to go into that that line of work? 00:05:08.47\00:05:14.41 It's very interesting. 00:05:14.44\00:05:15.91 People say, "Well, you know, you were really smart to switch 00:05:15.94\00:05:18.85 over from surgery to holistic medicine." 00:05:18.88\00:05:22.68 I said, "No, I was not." 00:05:22.72\00:05:25.99 God told me to leave surgery. 00:05:26.02\00:05:28.22 And I told God, "No, I'm good with this knife." 00:05:28.26\00:05:32.29 You know, He said, 00:05:32.33\00:05:34.53 "No, I need you in holistic medicine." 00:05:34.56\00:05:38.53 And there was a group of us 00:05:38.57\00:05:40.44 who was gonna go down south 00:05:40.47\00:05:41.80 and do this self-supporting ministry, 00:05:41.84\00:05:43.77 and I actually went into surgery for there, 00:05:43.81\00:05:45.81 I would have done probably cardiology, 00:05:45.84\00:05:48.31 but after they backed out, 00:05:48.34\00:05:51.48 I was depressed and almost never get depressed, 00:05:51.51\00:05:54.28 but I was depressed as such, 00:05:54.32\00:05:55.68 asking Lord, "What should I do?" 00:05:55.72\00:05:57.42 He said, "Leave surgery." 00:05:57.45\00:05:59.32 I said, "No, Lord." 00:05:59.35\00:06:00.69 But it took me two years to get the courage to leave. 00:06:00.72\00:06:04.59 All right. 00:06:04.63\00:06:05.96 Because surgery, that knife very powerful. 00:06:05.99\00:06:10.23 You know, I've opened up people's chests 00:06:10.27\00:06:13.03 right in the emergency room trying to save their lives. 00:06:13.07\00:06:15.97 It's, but I am so happy that I listened to God. 00:06:16.00\00:06:20.88 And He led me to, we need surgeons, 00:06:20.91\00:06:24.68 we need, and whenever 00:06:24.71\00:06:26.35 one of my patients needs a surgeon, 00:06:26.38\00:06:27.72 I try to find the best surgeon I can, 00:06:27.75\00:06:30.39 but there's so many people 00:06:30.42\00:06:33.02 that can avoid surgery and medication 00:06:33.05\00:06:35.92 if we just use the simple principles 00:06:35.96\00:06:38.93 that God has given us. 00:06:38.96\00:06:40.30 Amen. Amen. 00:06:40.33\00:06:41.76 You know, and that brings me to my next question, 00:06:41.80\00:06:43.70 and which is what are some of the nutritional changes 00:06:43.73\00:06:46.03 we can make to support the immune system? 00:06:46.07\00:06:51.21 You know, one of the interesting things 00:06:51.24\00:06:55.81 is that most of the diseases 00:06:55.84\00:06:58.05 or many of the diseases that we face today 00:06:58.08\00:07:01.78 are associated with the immune system. 00:07:01.82\00:07:04.05 When I was a third year resident, 00:07:04.09\00:07:06.25 I did my pediatrics at Bethesda Naval, 00:07:06.29\00:07:09.16 and I wrote a paper on 00:07:09.19\00:07:11.13 if we're going to overcome cancer, 00:07:11.16\00:07:14.13 we must do it by strengthening the immune system. 00:07:14.16\00:07:16.87 How do you do that? You do it by your diet. 00:07:16.90\00:07:22.60 Fresh fruits, vegetables, 00:07:22.64\00:07:26.47 whole grain, seeds, nuts, beans, 00:07:26.51\00:07:30.71 these common foods are just packed with nutrients. 00:07:30.75\00:07:36.35 You know, there are certain herbs 00:07:36.38\00:07:39.49 and other supplements that you can use 00:07:39.52\00:07:43.09 to really strengthen the immune system. 00:07:43.12\00:07:44.69 I don't push a lot of herbs in my practice. 00:07:44.73\00:07:47.96 There are only a couple that I will use frequently, 00:07:48.00\00:07:52.30 vitamin B12 because I encourage most of my patients 00:07:52.33\00:07:54.87 to be vegans like all of them to be vegans 00:07:54.90\00:07:58.91 and many of them listen, and so vitamin B12 is needed. 00:07:58.94\00:08:04.21 And I find that vitamin D, 00:08:04.25\00:08:07.85 which both of which are very important 00:08:07.88\00:08:11.02 to strengthen the immune system. 00:08:11.05\00:08:13.56 And then vitamin C, zinc, 00:08:13.59\00:08:16.73 other nutrients like that are very important. 00:08:16.76\00:08:19.49 One of the things that I'm using 00:08:19.53\00:08:22.16 and I understand that someone said that 00:08:22.20\00:08:25.57 they even heard it mentioned on your station. 00:08:25.60\00:08:31.57 NAC. Oh, yes. 00:08:31.61\00:08:34.41 You now, N-acetyl cysteine, 00:08:34.44\00:08:36.91 you know, because it stimulates the immune system. 00:08:36.95\00:08:40.55 And it's very, very, very beneficial. 00:08:40.58\00:08:43.82 Got you. 00:08:43.85\00:08:45.19 Now vitamin B12 that gives you energy too, doesn't it? 00:08:45.22\00:08:46.89 Okay, let me go a little further 00:08:46.92\00:08:49.66 on this because 00:08:49.69\00:08:52.73 there are other simple things that are important. 00:08:52.76\00:08:56.26 One of the most important things 00:08:56.30\00:08:58.43 I believe is decrease in stress. 00:08:58.47\00:09:01.80 Decrease stress, and my formula 00:09:01.84\00:09:04.11 for decreasing stresses take your burden to the Lord 00:09:04.14\00:09:06.98 and leave them. 00:09:07.01\00:09:08.34 You know, He promised that 00:09:08.38\00:09:09.74 He would not leave us or forsake us. 00:09:09.78\00:09:11.75 And if we believe that, you know, when I was in school, 00:09:11.78\00:09:16.02 I learned the only fear we have in the future. 00:09:16.05\00:09:19.35 And so we forget where God has led us in the past. 00:09:19.39\00:09:22.86 We must remember that God is in charge. 00:09:22.89\00:09:25.59 And so decreasing stress, exercise, 00:09:25.63\00:09:28.66 plenty of water, rest. 00:09:28.70\00:09:31.13 I interviewed a doctor just two weeks ago 00:09:31.17\00:09:35.47 on my radio show here dealing with sleep, 00:09:35.50\00:09:39.64 and he talked about the importance of sleep 00:09:39.67\00:09:41.91 and how it boosts the immune system 00:09:41.94\00:09:43.95 and can help one tackle these powers. 00:09:43.98\00:09:48.08 Interesting, interesting. 00:09:48.12\00:09:50.19 It seems like your faith plays a huge role in what you do. 00:09:50.22\00:09:54.59 How does your faith come into play in your line of work? 00:09:54.62\00:10:00.13 Well, when I was graduating from medical school, 00:10:00.16\00:10:05.13 I made a decision that 00:10:05.17\00:10:07.14 if ever there was a conflict 00:10:07.17\00:10:10.94 between what God teaches 00:10:10.97\00:10:13.31 and what I learned in medical school, 00:10:13.34\00:10:15.48 I was going with God, you know, 00:10:15.51\00:10:18.41 I said, "God got me in. 00:10:18.45\00:10:22.68 He got to get me out." 00:10:22.72\00:10:24.55 And once I got out, 00:10:24.59\00:10:26.65 I didn't wanna forget how I got in and got out. 00:10:26.69\00:10:30.63 And so, God is, you know, 00:10:30.66\00:10:33.09 I tell people, I'm just a little project boy, 00:10:33.13\00:10:34.96 little welfare kid that God has blessed. 00:10:35.00\00:10:37.73 And so, I can't forget where He's brought me. 00:10:37.77\00:10:42.50 And if in addition, Jason, 00:10:42.54\00:10:46.54 what I find is that when we deal with patients, 00:10:46.57\00:10:50.35 and this COVID virus is a classic example. 00:10:50.38\00:10:53.45 There's a lot of fear. 00:10:53.48\00:10:55.28 You know, people are fearful of even 00:10:55.32\00:10:58.69 with all the medical science that we have. 00:10:58.72\00:11:01.52 How can we handle this thing? Yes. 00:11:01.56\00:11:03.83 You know, and I tell them, 00:11:03.86\00:11:07.00 "Yes, I believe in washing my hands 00:11:07.03\00:11:09.40 and doing the things that we need to do 00:11:09.43\00:11:11.33 using my mask when I'm gonna be in public, 00:11:11.37\00:11:14.94 but I don't worry about the virus 00:11:14.97\00:11:18.07 because my God has..." 00:11:18.11\00:11:20.84 He said, "If you put the blood on the doorpost, 00:11:20.88\00:11:24.05 I'm gonna pass over." 00:11:24.08\00:11:26.05 And I believe that He's passing over now. 00:11:26.08\00:11:29.05 And so I trust Him because I remember 00:11:29.08\00:11:33.15 what He's done for me in the past 00:11:33.19\00:11:34.99 and what He's doing for me even now. 00:11:35.02\00:11:37.89 Amen. 00:11:37.93\00:11:39.43 What are some things that 00:11:39.46\00:11:41.13 we can do to protect our homes from the virus? 00:11:41.16\00:11:45.37 Well, one we need to clean it down. 00:11:49.67\00:11:53.41 We need to clean it down. 00:11:53.44\00:11:54.78 We can use alcohol and other... 00:11:54.81\00:11:57.11 germicidal solutions, 00:12:00.92\00:12:03.89 you know, I don't wanna get commercial, 00:12:03.92\00:12:06.52 but if you go into the store, 00:12:06.55\00:12:08.72 you're not gonna find Lysol 00:12:08.76\00:12:10.69 because everybody has found out 00:12:10.73\00:12:12.09 that Lysol is a good germicidal. 00:12:12.13\00:12:14.36 And so, but regular rubbing alcohol 00:12:14.40\00:12:16.60 but it needs to be at least 60%. 00:12:16.63\00:12:18.53 Clean all the areas that 00:12:18.57\00:12:23.41 you're gonna come in contact with. 00:12:23.44\00:12:26.78 And, you know, if someone comes into your home, 00:12:26.81\00:12:31.61 that's not a part of the family, 00:12:31.65\00:12:36.95 they need to have mask, gloves, etcetera, 00:12:36.99\00:12:42.09 and then when they leave, 00:12:42.12\00:12:44.43 you need to make sure that you sterilize the area. 00:12:44.46\00:12:48.26 We can't see the virus. 00:12:48.30\00:12:50.37 And so we have to assume that 00:12:50.40\00:12:52.43 the virus comes in when someone else comes in. 00:12:52.47\00:12:55.40 When we go out and we come in, 00:12:55.44\00:12:57.77 we need to make sure that we wipe down. 00:12:57.81\00:12:59.94 When I come in, I spray the knobs and so forth, 00:12:59.97\00:13:03.75 anywhere I go, I go and wash my hands 00:13:03.78\00:13:06.51 and you need to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds 00:13:06.55\00:13:09.98 with warm soapy water. 00:13:10.02\00:13:11.62 You don't have warm soapy water, 00:13:11.65\00:13:13.32 you can use, you know, 00:13:13.36\00:13:15.06 the Lysol, you can use the 60% alcohol, etcetera, 00:13:15.09\00:13:20.00 the hand sterilizers to clean yourself. 00:13:20.03\00:13:23.67 Those are the kinds of things you need to do. 00:13:23.70\00:13:26.23 If there's someone that you suspect 00:13:26.27\00:13:30.77 has come in contact, you need to isolate them, 00:13:30.81\00:13:35.38 quarantine them in the house so that 00:13:35.41\00:13:39.91 they don't spread it to other members of the house. 00:13:39.95\00:13:42.95 Yes, yes. 00:13:42.98\00:13:44.52 One of the things that I'm trying to do 00:13:44.55\00:13:46.15 is limit anybody that comes to the house 00:13:46.19\00:13:48.82 like I'm not really having any type of visitors 00:13:48.86\00:13:52.16 or anything 'cause you really don't know 00:13:52.19\00:13:53.90 who's carrying it. 00:13:53.93\00:13:55.30 And you don't know if you have it, 00:13:55.33\00:13:57.20 you know right away and that's very scary. 00:13:57.23\00:14:01.50 That is something that is scary about this. 00:14:01.54\00:14:04.57 And if anything, you know, 00:14:04.61\00:14:06.57 but once again that's where trust in God. 00:14:06.61\00:14:09.61 We do what we can. Yeah. 00:14:09.64\00:14:11.61 And God would do the rest. Yes. 00:14:11.65\00:14:13.42 But avoiding people that you don't, you know, 00:14:13.45\00:14:19.35 my daughter got me so bad. 00:14:19.39\00:14:21.42 Daddy you cannot go back to the office 00:14:21.46\00:14:24.16 and for now for about four weeks 00:14:24.19\00:14:25.79 I've been doing telemedicine. 00:14:25.83\00:14:27.36 Okay. 00:14:27.40\00:14:28.73 Because you just can't trust the situation. 00:14:28.76\00:14:34.40 You just don't know. 00:14:34.44\00:14:35.80 So let me ask you this because it seems like this thing 00:14:35.84\00:14:38.47 has been spreading at such a rapid rate. 00:14:38.51\00:14:41.41 How does the virus spread? 00:14:41.44\00:14:43.95 Well, it generally spreads through droplets, all right? 00:14:43.98\00:14:47.45 Through droplets, someone cough, they sneeze, 00:14:47.48\00:14:51.82 and you inhale it, you know, 00:14:51.85\00:14:57.03 and it goes into your body and multiplies. 00:14:57.06\00:15:02.90 Also, you can touch a surface that someone with the virus 00:15:02.93\00:15:08.60 has touched or sneezed and, 00:15:08.64\00:15:11.41 you know, now that they're suggesting even that 00:15:11.44\00:15:15.28 it's in the air and just talking to someone 00:15:15.31\00:15:18.91 I heard the other day just talking 00:15:18.95\00:15:22.15 can actually spread the virus and so, 00:15:22.18\00:15:24.39 but it's basically the droplets that come from the mouth, 00:15:24.42\00:15:30.19 from the nose the primary ways in which you can get. 00:15:30.23\00:15:32.89 So if I hear you correctly, just talking to somebody 00:15:32.93\00:15:36.10 does that mean like as you're talking to somebody, 00:15:36.13\00:15:38.27 sometimes when people talk 00:15:38.30\00:15:39.73 some droplets come out of their mouth, 00:15:39.77\00:15:41.37 is that what you're saying? 00:15:41.40\00:15:42.74 They spit. Okay, okay. 00:15:42.77\00:15:44.64 Exactly. Yes. 00:15:44.67\00:15:46.51 They can emit droplets that get 00:15:46.54\00:15:49.04 into the air and can spray it. 00:15:49.08\00:15:52.91 Okay. 00:15:52.95\00:15:54.28 You know, what I find really nasty is that, 00:15:54.32\00:15:58.09 you know, all of this stuff 00:15:58.12\00:15:59.45 has been taking place all of this time, 00:15:59.49\00:16:02.12 you know, I don't think we've realized exactly 00:16:02.16\00:16:05.29 how many droplets 00:16:05.33\00:16:06.66 and stuff we encounter on a daily basis, 00:16:06.70\00:16:09.86 but this is really bringing a wake up call to that. 00:16:09.90\00:16:13.64 I remember as a little boy. 00:16:13.67\00:16:20.01 And when we moved up to the projects, 00:16:20.04\00:16:23.68 I'm seeing the dust, the light, hit the dust in the air, 00:16:23.71\00:16:28.92 and flicker and you see 00:16:28.95\00:16:30.29 all those particles, you know, while they're still in the air. 00:16:30.32\00:16:35.16 We just don't see them, all right? 00:16:35.19\00:16:37.76 But they're there and they can spread 00:16:37.79\00:16:40.20 for quite probably about 15 feet or more, you know, 00:16:40.23\00:16:46.13 and so it's very important generally we say, 6 feet, 00:16:46.17\00:16:50.04 but they can actually spread further than that. 00:16:50.07\00:16:52.54 Wow. 00:16:52.57\00:16:53.91 What are some common myths about COVID-19? 00:16:53.94\00:16:59.58 Well, 00:16:59.61\00:17:03.62 people say that, you know, 00:17:03.65\00:17:07.42 that certain people can't get it, you know, 00:17:07.46\00:17:10.63 their immune system is so strong 00:17:10.66\00:17:14.33 that they can't get it 00:17:14.36\00:17:15.93 or that it only affects older people, sick people. 00:17:15.96\00:17:20.87 Well, that's truly a myth because young athletes, 00:17:20.90\00:17:26.17 we know NBA players, 00:17:26.21\00:17:28.38 other athletes strong in the prime of life 00:17:28.41\00:17:34.55 they have gotten. 00:17:34.58\00:17:35.92 And so it's a myth that only old people, 00:17:35.95\00:17:39.05 you know, in fact as we look at that, 00:17:39.09\00:17:43.22 we need to recognize that in your area in Chicago, 00:17:43.26\00:17:48.26 they said about 97%, 00:17:48.30\00:17:51.50 I was reading just this morning 97% of the deaths 00:17:51.53\00:17:56.20 that have occurred in Chicago are in people 00:17:56.24\00:17:59.94 who have pre-existing illnesses are over 60. 00:17:59.97\00:18:05.65 Now those pre-existing illnesses 00:18:05.68\00:18:07.95 can occur in young people. 00:18:07.98\00:18:11.62 A young man just came to my office today. 00:18:11.65\00:18:13.56 I wasn't there, but my secretary 00:18:13.59\00:18:15.39 gave him some things to boost his immune system. 00:18:15.42\00:18:18.63 He's in his 30s. Wow. 00:18:18.66\00:18:20.33 All right, and others in their 30s. 00:18:20.36\00:18:24.40 There are people who have died in the 30s and 40s and 50s. 00:18:24.43\00:18:29.64 And so that's a myth, all right? 00:18:29.67\00:18:34.74 There's a lot of things going around that 00:18:34.78\00:18:38.38 there is a conspiracy. 00:18:38.41\00:18:40.92 You know, I tell people, this is a real virus. 00:18:40.95\00:18:44.95 And it's really killing people. 00:18:44.99\00:18:46.86 And certainly there are people 00:18:46.89\00:18:50.33 who will conspire, 00:18:50.36\00:18:52.73 but I'm not taking any chances on something serious. 00:18:52.76\00:18:56.33 Yes. Yes. 00:18:56.36\00:18:58.20 I wanna do everything I can 00:18:58.23\00:19:00.24 to improve my immune system to stay away, 00:19:00.27\00:19:03.71 you do that distancing that we need to do, 00:19:03.74\00:19:06.34 you know, so those are myths. 00:19:06.37\00:19:07.71 Absolutely. Those myths are common. 00:19:07.74\00:19:10.28 What about the fact that if you catch the virus 00:19:10.31\00:19:13.95 and you can't get it again, is that a myth? 00:19:13.98\00:19:16.18 I can't say that it's a myth. 00:19:21.12\00:19:26.19 The research on this is conflicting. 00:19:26.23\00:19:30.57 Okay. 00:19:30.60\00:19:31.93 There have been studies to show that 00:19:31.97\00:19:33.64 people who got it for instance in China afterwards, 00:19:33.67\00:19:38.44 they had a relapse 00:19:38.47\00:19:43.45 or got it again. 00:19:43.48\00:19:45.48 Now the question is, 00:19:45.51\00:19:47.08 did they ever get rid of the virus? 00:19:47.12\00:19:51.59 Another study, I was reading about 00:19:51.62\00:19:53.82 some young people in China. 00:19:53.86\00:19:58.29 They were 00:19:58.33\00:20:02.86 said to have overcome, 00:20:02.90\00:20:06.13 but they did a study where they actually tested them 00:20:06.17\00:20:11.37 with swabs in the nose 5 days, 00:20:11.41\00:20:16.11 up to 13 days. 00:20:16.14\00:20:18.81 They tested them after they were quote well, 00:20:18.85\00:20:23.18 and the virus was present on every one of the tests. 00:20:23.22\00:20:28.49 Wow. All right. 00:20:28.52\00:20:29.86 So we know that these viruses can linger. 00:20:29.89\00:20:33.36 You know, the Ebola virus, it was around months 00:20:33.40\00:20:37.53 after a person was quote well, 00:20:37.57\00:20:40.40 you know, so that they were carriers. 00:20:40.44\00:20:43.34 They didn't have an active disease, 00:20:43.37\00:20:45.54 but they were still carriers of the virus, 00:20:45.57\00:20:47.48 therefore, they could pass it on to others, and possibly, 00:20:47.51\00:20:53.01 depending on the situation could get reinfected again. 00:20:53.05\00:20:56.89 Wow. 00:20:56.92\00:20:58.49 At what point would you say someone should go get tested? 00:20:58.52\00:21:01.19 That's a very, another very good question. 00:21:05.73\00:21:09.96 You know, if you have symptoms, a fever, 00:21:10.00\00:21:15.94 no contact with someone 00:21:15.97\00:21:19.84 who has been tested positive, 00:21:19.87\00:21:25.81 you've had recent travel, especially out of the country 00:21:25.85\00:21:30.42 or to an endemic area. 00:21:30.45\00:21:32.62 Those people definitely should be tested. 00:21:32.65\00:21:34.76 If you have pre-existing illnesses 00:21:34.79\00:21:39.66 and any of those symptoms, 00:21:39.69\00:21:41.13 you definitely need to be tested. 00:21:41.16\00:21:42.50 Now, what's the process? 00:21:42.53\00:21:45.13 The first thing I would do is call, 00:21:45.17\00:21:47.20 I would suggest you call 00:21:47.24\00:21:48.57 your private physician, all right? 00:21:48.60\00:21:51.01 Or if you can't reach them 00:21:51.04\00:21:53.81 and most areas especially in cities, 00:21:53.84\00:21:56.58 there are places through the Department of Health 00:21:56.61\00:22:00.62 that's been set up where you can call 00:22:00.65\00:22:03.15 and they can direct you as to where you should go. 00:22:03.18\00:22:07.09 Because number one, you need an appointment, 00:22:07.12\00:22:09.26 you know, it's getting better now, 00:22:09.29\00:22:11.09 but still, in the beginning, 00:22:11.13\00:22:13.86 there was such a shortage of tests. 00:22:13.90\00:22:17.23 I mean, you could go and still not be tested. 00:22:17.27\00:22:20.57 And in fact by going put yourself at risk 00:22:20.60\00:22:23.34 because you're around other people who are positive. 00:22:23.37\00:22:25.14 Yeah. 00:22:25.17\00:22:26.51 And if you didn't have it, 00:22:26.54\00:22:27.88 you can get it by exposing yourself. 00:22:27.91\00:22:29.94 Yes. 00:22:29.98\00:22:31.31 They say the emergency room 00:22:31.35\00:22:32.68 was one of the worst places to be in this time 00:22:32.71\00:22:34.98 because if you don't have it when you leave, you'll have it. 00:22:35.02\00:22:39.15 Absolutely. Absolutely. 00:22:39.19\00:22:41.96 You know, it's interesting, you know, 00:22:41.99\00:22:44.89 exactly what you're saying. 00:22:44.93\00:22:46.33 You know, you can go in 00:22:46.36\00:22:47.70 and get tested for it and not have it, 00:22:47.73\00:22:50.33 but then you go in, and then, you know, you may get it, 00:22:50.37\00:22:53.17 you know, you never know. 00:22:53.20\00:22:55.94 And also with this is depending on 00:22:55.97\00:23:00.24 when you're tested, all right? 00:23:00.28\00:23:02.61 You may be exposed... 00:23:02.64\00:23:04.71 If you aren't having symptoms, all right? 00:23:04.75\00:23:07.52 You can go in, you can be tested 00:23:07.55\00:23:10.19 and be negative, and then later get it 00:23:10.22\00:23:12.89 because the incubation period can differ from 00:23:12.92\00:23:15.26 2 days, 14 days, you know... 00:23:15.29\00:23:17.66 Yes. 00:23:17.69\00:23:19.03 And so that's why, in addition to that, 00:23:19.06\00:23:21.66 we know that people will have it be positive 00:23:21.70\00:23:25.60 and never have symptoms. 00:23:25.63\00:23:27.27 So you can't always wait for symptoms. 00:23:27.30\00:23:29.07 So that's why have you been exposed to someone, you know, 00:23:29.10\00:23:32.81 have you been in an endemic area, 00:23:32.84\00:23:35.68 you've been flying, etcetera, those effects. 00:23:35.71\00:23:39.31 Let me ask you this. 00:23:39.35\00:23:40.98 You know, if someone's in home isolation 00:23:41.02\00:23:43.89 because they believe they might be infected, 00:23:43.92\00:23:45.52 how do they know 00:23:45.55\00:23:46.89 when it's safe to discontinue that isolation? 00:23:46.92\00:23:52.13 One, the fever will break. All right. 00:23:52.16\00:23:55.40 If they have other symptoms, 00:23:55.43\00:23:57.43 they'll clear just like if you had the flu. 00:23:57.47\00:24:00.40 You sort of know when the flu is over. 00:24:00.44\00:24:03.91 But in addition to that, you need to be tested. 00:24:03.94\00:24:06.61 If you've been tested positive, you need to be tested again. 00:24:06.64\00:24:10.58 In fact, two days in a row, you need to have negative tests 00:24:10.61\00:24:14.88 in order to be assumed that you're over with the virus. 00:24:14.92\00:24:19.45 And so once the symptoms clear, then you can go 00:24:19.49\00:24:22.62 and you get tested two days and if you are free, 00:24:22.66\00:24:28.50 then you can consider yourself to have been over the virus. 00:24:28.53\00:24:34.60 Okay. 00:24:34.64\00:24:36.64 What steps can doctors take to stay healthy 00:24:36.67\00:24:39.67 during COVID-19 during this pandemic? 00:24:39.71\00:24:43.41 In addition to eating right, 00:24:43.45\00:24:46.38 getting their rest, trusting in God. 00:24:46.41\00:24:52.29 They certainly need to have 00:24:52.32\00:24:56.06 the protective equipment. 00:24:56.09\00:25:00.50 And they need to limit their contact with patients. 00:25:00.53\00:25:06.27 Most doctors now 00:25:06.30\00:25:08.40 unless they are in the emergent, you know, 00:25:08.44\00:25:12.81 the critical care area are doing phone calls, 00:25:12.84\00:25:17.25 telemedicine. 00:25:17.28\00:25:18.61 Okay. 00:25:18.65\00:25:19.98 You know, because you don't know 00:25:20.02\00:25:22.38 who has it and so most doctors 00:25:22.42\00:25:26.86 are not directly, 00:25:26.89\00:25:29.72 you know, I contacted a doctor today, 00:25:29.76\00:25:33.63 and he's a urologist. 00:25:33.66\00:25:40.14 And, no, he was a dermatologist and he said, "Well, 00:25:40.17\00:25:43.14 I'm gonna be in my office 00:25:43.17\00:25:45.41 to see only emergencies on Thursday." 00:25:45.44\00:25:49.44 But of course, he's gonna be, 00:25:49.48\00:25:51.71 you know, have the appropriate protection on 00:25:51.75\00:25:56.32 and just see people from a distance. 00:25:56.35\00:25:58.72 Okay. 00:25:58.75\00:26:00.09 Doctors when they, 00:26:00.12\00:26:01.46 I was talking to a urologist yesterday. 00:26:01.49\00:26:03.89 And he said, he scheduled them, they come in, 00:26:03.93\00:26:09.60 later they don't have patients 00:26:09.63\00:26:11.37 sitting in the emergency room they come in, 00:26:11.40\00:26:14.04 I mean in the office, they come in, 00:26:14.07\00:26:16.14 you're seeing they leave. 00:26:16.17\00:26:19.27 Yeah, so they're still practicing 00:26:19.31\00:26:21.48 their social distancing in a way too... 00:26:21.51\00:26:23.58 There some are practicing, but it's much, much less. 00:26:23.61\00:26:27.85 Yes. 00:26:27.88\00:26:29.22 Now you also conduct seminars 00:26:29.25\00:26:31.45 and all of that stuff as well, right? 00:26:31.49\00:26:33.02 If somebody wants to reach out to you 00:26:33.05\00:26:35.36 and book you for a seminar, what's your website? 00:26:35.39\00:26:40.93 It's www.TwiLiving.com. 00:26:40.96\00:26:44.53 Twi that stands for the Watkins Institute. 00:26:47.64\00:26:50.84 Got you.
