NAPS. 00:00:57.89\00:00:59.22 NAPS. 00:00:59.25\00:01:00.59 It stands for the National Association 00:01:00.62\00:01:02.72 for the Prevention of Starvation. 00:01:02.76\00:01:04.99 And it kind of just talks about how the group was started, 00:01:05.03\00:01:08.03 which was providing food to people 00:01:08.06\00:01:09.73 under the bridge in Huntsville, Alabama. 00:01:09.76\00:01:11.83 Oh, so they were giving meals to people under the bridge. 00:01:11.87\00:01:15.87 That's correct. 00:01:15.90\00:01:17.24 And then it's expanded to what? 00:01:17.27\00:01:18.94 Well now, Praise Lord, 00:01:18.97\00:01:20.31 we've actually been able to start traveling 00:01:20.34\00:01:21.94 around the United States, 00:01:21.98\00:01:23.31 and we even have international work. 00:01:23.35\00:01:25.35 So we have about 13 branches around the world 00:01:25.38\00:01:27.85 in each of the countries that we visited. 00:01:27.88\00:01:30.39 And now, who is NAPS comprised of? 00:01:30.42\00:01:33.42 Okay, it used to just be college students, 00:01:33.46\00:01:36.22 but now it's, it's broadened both up and down the scale. 00:01:36.26\00:01:40.20 So we have our NAPS, 00:01:40.23\00:01:41.56 Abundant Life Academy students who, 00:01:41.60\00:01:43.63 that's in middle school or even younger, 00:01:43.67\00:01:46.03 you're looking at age ten or nine, 00:01:46.07\00:01:48.34 who are joining up with us for missions. 00:01:48.37\00:01:50.41 Oh, so this is a... 00:01:50.44\00:01:53.04 So you have 00:01:53.07\00:01:54.74 like an elementary school contingency... 00:01:54.78\00:01:56.38 Yes, right. 00:01:56.41\00:01:58.78 And it goes all the way up to college or beyond? 00:01:58.81\00:02:01.35 Through college and beyond. 00:02:01.38\00:02:02.95 We've had people on missions 00:02:02.98\00:02:04.35 in their 60s, their 70s joining with the ministry. 00:02:04.39\00:02:07.26 So you've got the young kids and the seniors. 00:02:07.29\00:02:09.32 That's right. Everybody can get involved. 00:02:09.36\00:02:11.56 That's awesome. 00:02:11.59\00:02:12.93 How long has NAPS been with us? 00:02:12.96\00:02:15.06 Okay, well NAPS started as an idea in '78. 00:02:15.10\00:02:18.23 That's when the bridge feeding started. 00:02:18.27\00:02:20.34 And then we registered and it fired up in about '93. 00:02:20.37\00:02:24.64 Wow, wow. 00:02:24.67\00:02:26.14 Tell us some of the experiences that you've had with people 00:02:26.17\00:02:30.58 that you've helped with NAPS? 00:02:30.61\00:02:32.21 Oh, wow, it's so powerful. 00:02:32.25\00:02:34.15 As you travel to the different countries. 00:02:34.18\00:02:36.75 And even in the US, when you connect with people, 00:02:36.79\00:02:39.89 and you bring them the gospel. 00:02:39.92\00:02:41.26 I can remember in a juvenile detention center, 00:02:41.29\00:02:43.83 we were doing a presentation, 00:02:43.86\00:02:45.79 and at the end the lady told us about, 00:02:45.83\00:02:48.66 she's had groups come in, but first off, 00:02:48.70\00:02:51.87 they were never so quiet and respectful 00:02:51.90\00:02:54.04 until our group was there. 00:02:54.07\00:02:55.54 And then at the end of our presentations, 00:02:55.57\00:02:57.77 we make an appeal and she said 00:02:57.81\00:03:00.21 90% of those young men 00:03:00.24\00:03:01.74 who've never had anything involving spiritual or God 00:03:01.78\00:03:06.48 took a stand for a new life in Christ. 00:03:06.51\00:03:08.32 And so, just seeing how God can use anyone 00:03:08.35\00:03:11.45 to reach people with His message, 00:03:11.49\00:03:12.95 I love that. That's tremendous. 00:03:12.99\00:03:14.82 And so what you're doing is 00:03:14.86\00:03:16.59 you're meeting people at their point of need. 00:03:16.62\00:03:19.23 They're hungry, you're feeding them... 00:03:19.26\00:03:20.76 That's right. 00:03:20.80\00:03:22.13 But you're also feeding them besides physically, 00:03:22.16\00:03:24.27 you're feeding them spiritually. 00:03:24.30\00:03:25.87 Yes. That is incredible. 00:03:25.90\00:03:27.34 That is incredible. 00:03:27.37\00:03:28.70 What would you say are some of the needs 00:03:28.74\00:03:31.07 that NAPS has right now? 00:03:31.11\00:03:32.47 Okay, well, right now, as I mentioned our school, 00:03:32.51\00:03:35.61 we actually are in need of more teachers to come in, 00:03:35.64\00:03:38.25 because the students are there. 00:03:38.28\00:03:40.38 We have the facilities, but we just need more people 00:03:40.42\00:03:42.58 who are able to come in and to teach, 00:03:42.62\00:03:44.95 whether it's agriculture, English, math, 00:03:44.99\00:03:47.56 all of those different types of subjects to help. 00:03:47.59\00:03:50.46 We have main teachers there. 00:03:50.49\00:03:52.39 But because we're a boarding academy, 00:03:52.43\00:03:55.30 they have to see them in the classroom 00:03:55.33\00:03:57.37 and then even care for them at the home which is powerful. 00:03:57.40\00:04:00.54 But that can be a weight on the teachers sometimes. 00:04:00.57\00:04:02.97 So if we're able to get more people 00:04:03.00\00:04:04.34 to help out there. 00:04:04.37\00:04:05.71 Honestly, I wasn't even aware of the boarding academy. 00:04:05.74\00:04:08.11 Oh, yes, the school is a boarding. 00:04:08.14\00:04:09.48 So you've got the middle school, right? 00:04:09.51\00:04:12.05 And then you have the boarding academy. 00:04:12.08\00:04:13.72 Right. 00:04:13.75\00:04:15.08 The middle school, the K-8 academy 00:04:15.12\00:04:16.45 is a boarding academy. 00:04:16.48\00:04:17.85 We have some day students, 00:04:17.89\00:04:19.22 but we realized that with the students, 00:04:19.25\00:04:21.02 when they come if they go back to the home environment 00:04:21.06\00:04:24.56 that can sometimes when they return back, 00:04:24.59\00:04:27.83 we have to realign with them. 00:04:27.86\00:04:29.83 But as we see when they're boarding 00:04:29.86\00:04:31.50 with the teachers, they get to get help with them. 00:04:31.53\00:04:34.24 They put them to bed at night. 00:04:34.27\00:04:35.60 We're seeing a greater impact on the students lives. 00:04:35.64\00:04:38.01 So yes, it's a boarding academy. 00:04:38.04\00:04:40.08 What do you look for 00:04:40.11\00:04:41.91 when you're interviewing someone 00:04:41.94\00:04:44.35 who wants to join NAPS? 00:04:44.38\00:04:46.08 What do you look for in that, in those candidates? 00:04:46.11\00:04:49.15 Someone who's just willing, 00:04:49.18\00:04:50.99 we do a lot of what we say on the job training. 00:04:51.02\00:04:54.19 When you come in, we teach, we train, 00:04:54.22\00:04:56.66 and then people are just, 00:04:56.69\00:04:58.03 you just have to be willing to sacrifice. 00:04:58.06\00:04:59.76 Because it's not the easiest of things, 00:04:59.79\00:05:01.86 you're not going to get the king size plush bed 00:05:01.90\00:05:04.40 that some people may be used to, 00:05:04.43\00:05:05.77 you know, you have that twin size mattress 00:05:05.80\00:05:08.00 and we're going. 00:05:08.04\00:05:09.37 So as long as they're willing, 00:05:09.40\00:05:10.74 they can be used by the Master. 00:05:10.77\00:05:12.17 Amen, what a blessing. 00:05:12.21\00:05:14.04 We thank you so much for all that you're doing. 00:05:14.08\00:05:16.04 You know, it's amazing to me when I see young people 00:05:16.08\00:05:19.68 that are really focused and dedicated 00:05:19.71\00:05:22.68 to the work of the Lord. 00:05:22.72\00:05:24.05 It's so inspiring, 00:05:24.09\00:05:25.42 because you can be doing anything else. 00:05:25.45\00:05:28.12 There's so many things that you know, 00:05:28.16\00:05:30.36 the world pulls you with, but this is a blessing. 00:05:30.39\00:05:33.56 Do you have a quick closing thought, 00:05:33.60\00:05:35.13 like, quick. 00:05:35.16\00:05:36.50 Okay, I could be very quick, just to say, you know, 00:05:36.53\00:05:39.20 wherever you are, whatever you're doing, 00:05:39.23\00:05:40.60 God can use you. 00:05:40.64\00:05:41.97 You don't have to have the big talents. 00:05:42.00\00:05:43.51 Just the willingness is all God needs. 00:05:43.54\00:05:45.81 And He can use anyone. 00:05:45.84\00:05:47.18 Amen. What's your website? 00:05:47.21\00:05:48.58 It's napsglobal.org. 00:05:48.61\00:05:51.05 N-A-P-S-G-L-O-B-A-L.org. 00:05:51.08\00:05:54.82 God bless. 00:05:54.85\00:05:56.95 It's amazing to see how God continues 00:05:56.99\00:05:59.45 to grow The NAPS organization 00:05:59.49\00:06:01.56 and how they are implementing Christ method. 00:06:01.59\00:06:04.56 Thank you Torry, for all that you're doing 00:06:04.59\00:06:06.19 for the cause of Christ. 00:06:06.23\00:06:07.66 Okay, let's see who Mrs. Shelton talk to next. 00:06:07.70\00:06:12.40 I have the privilege of standing here 00:06:12.43\00:06:14.07 with Rudy Harnish. 00:06:14.10\00:06:15.80 And Rudy is the director 00:06:15.84\00:06:17.94 of the Adventist Muslim Relations Department. 00:06:17.97\00:06:22.84 Is it a department? 00:06:22.88\00:06:24.88 With the..? 00:06:24.91\00:06:26.25 Canadian Union. 00:06:26.28\00:06:27.62 Canadian Union. 00:06:27.65\00:06:28.98 A Canadian Union in Canada. 00:06:29.02\00:06:30.35 In Canada. 00:06:30.39\00:06:31.72 And you know, 00:06:31.75\00:06:33.09 I have to tell you, Brother Rudy, 00:06:33.12\00:06:34.46 that, I have had such a, 00:06:34.49\00:06:38.56 an interest in Adventist Muslim relations. 00:06:38.59\00:06:42.86 I've been reading these books about the Muslims 00:06:42.90\00:06:45.83 in different countries in the Middle East 00:06:45.87\00:06:48.64 and how difficult it is to reach them and when you, 00:06:48.67\00:06:53.38 but God is reaching them through dreams, 00:06:53.41\00:06:56.41 Jesus is appearing in dreams. 00:06:56.44\00:06:59.08 What led you to get involved in this, 00:06:59.11\00:07:02.08 this whole movement of Adventist Muslim Relations? 00:07:02.12\00:07:05.75 We were missionaries in East Africa, Tanzania. 00:07:05.79\00:07:08.82 I recognize there were 40% of the people were Muslims. 00:07:08.86\00:07:12.96 But there was no literature geared specifically for them. 00:07:12.99\00:07:17.17 And so, you know, 00:07:17.20\00:07:19.13 they, they look at things differently. 00:07:19.17\00:07:22.10 And so unless literature 00:07:22.14\00:07:23.61 is designed specifically for them, 00:07:23.64\00:07:26.91 they usually walk away from it. 00:07:26.94\00:07:28.68 And the reason they do is, 00:07:28.71\00:07:30.45 there's some, there's multiple reasons 00:07:30.48\00:07:32.31 why they don't want to accept Christian literature, 00:07:32.35\00:07:34.72 because to them, a standard Christian 00:07:34.75\00:07:36.95 is someone who worships Mary, 00:07:36.99\00:07:40.09 who drinks alcohol, who eats pork, 00:07:40.12\00:07:43.83 and who bows down to images. 00:07:43.86\00:07:46.39 And so when they, 00:07:46.43\00:07:47.76 when you tell them you're a Christian, 00:07:47.80\00:07:49.36 that's the first thing that comes to their mind. 00:07:49.40\00:07:52.20 And so when we identify ourselves 00:07:52.23\00:07:53.64 as Seventh-day Adventist, 00:07:53.67\00:07:55.64 that takes on a whole different... 00:07:55.67\00:07:58.27 It takes just a whole different course. 00:07:58.31\00:08:00.08 I would think so. 00:08:00.11\00:08:01.44 And I would think that when you tell them 00:08:01.48\00:08:02.94 that we don't eat pork, 00:08:02.98\00:08:05.38 that, that is a kind of wake up call for them 00:08:05.41\00:08:10.29 because like, oh, Christians who don't eat pork, 00:08:10.32\00:08:12.92 Christians who don't venerate Mary. 00:08:12.95\00:08:14.56 Yeah. 00:08:14.59\00:08:15.92 I mean, that's really, that's really great. 00:08:15.96\00:08:17.29 That's right. 00:08:17.33\00:08:18.66 So you were a missionary in Tanzania? 00:08:18.69\00:08:21.13 Tanzania. 00:08:21.16\00:08:23.40 How do you approach Muslims now 00:08:23.43\00:08:26.90 when you, now that we, we do have literature, 00:08:26.94\00:08:29.74 how do you approach them? 00:08:29.77\00:08:31.74 Just the other day at the airport, 00:08:31.77\00:08:34.04 I had to take a taxi. 00:08:34.08\00:08:35.88 I recognize he's a man of color, 00:08:35.91\00:08:37.85 a little bit, 00:08:37.88\00:08:39.21 he looked Middle Eastern, so I tested it. 00:08:39.25\00:08:41.62 I said As-Salamu Alaikum, 00:08:41.65\00:08:43.89 which is Arabic for may peace be upon you. 00:08:43.92\00:08:46.05 Yes, yes. 00:08:46.09\00:08:47.42 He instantly responded Wa Alaikum Salaam. 00:08:47.46\00:08:50.86 Who are you? Are you a Muslim? 00:08:50.89\00:08:52.26 I said, "I'm a Seventh-day Adventist." 00:08:52.29\00:08:54.73 Oh, what's that? 00:08:54.76\00:08:56.10 I said, "Well, we don't eat pork." 00:08:56.13\00:08:58.50 He said, "Really?" 00:08:58.53\00:09:00.27 He said, "Do you people drink alcohol?" 00:09:00.30\00:09:02.10 I said, "No, we don't drink alcohol." 00:09:02.14\00:09:04.31 Then for the next few minutes he kept repeating this. 00:09:04.34\00:09:06.84 You are the true people of the book 00:09:06.88\00:09:09.08 that are followers of Jesus. 00:09:09.11\00:09:11.08 That came from his own words. 00:09:11.11\00:09:13.55 Yes, I've heard that, the People of the Book. 00:09:13.58\00:09:16.08 Yeah. 00:09:16.12\00:09:17.45 That Adventist can be considered 00:09:17.49\00:09:20.02 the People of the Book. 00:09:20.06\00:09:21.39 That's what the Quran says. 00:09:21.42\00:09:22.76 Now, what else does it say about that? 00:09:22.79\00:09:24.53 The Quran says that, 00:09:24.56\00:09:25.93 there's a distinction between the People of the Book 00:09:25.96\00:09:28.76 and many who have gone far astray. 00:09:28.80\00:09:30.87 But it says, "A portion are among the righteous 00:09:30.90\00:09:33.37 and it lists what they do." 00:09:33.40\00:09:35.37 And it fits Adventists perfectly. 00:09:35.40\00:09:37.44 My, my. 00:09:37.47\00:09:38.84 So what are you doing with the Muslims now? 00:09:38.87\00:09:41.84 What do you? 00:09:41.88\00:09:43.21 How are you approaching the whole situation? 00:09:43.24\00:09:44.85 Well, we'd like to, 00:09:44.88\00:09:46.38 I like to approach Muslims with the idea 00:09:46.41\00:09:48.98 of their history in Scripture, 00:09:49.02\00:09:51.82 starting with Abraham, because it's monumental. 00:09:51.85\00:09:54.96 Yes. 00:09:54.99\00:09:56.62 You know, the whole story of Ishmael, 00:09:56.66\00:09:58.79 he was driven out. 00:09:58.83\00:10:00.16 But the descendants of Ishmael 00:10:00.20\00:10:01.53 and from the other wife of Abraham, Keturah, 00:10:01.56\00:10:03.90 they went on to be involved 00:10:03.93\00:10:07.10 in some very interesting incidents 00:10:07.14\00:10:09.84 throughout Scripture like Job. 00:10:09.87\00:10:12.34 Job was not. 00:10:12.37\00:10:13.71 He was an Arab... Really? 00:10:13.74\00:10:15.94 And there's a large section of the Bible 00:10:15.98\00:10:17.55 and the Old Testament is written by Job, the Arab, 00:10:17.58\00:10:20.92 who was a faithful follower of God, 00:10:20.95\00:10:23.12 but from the other side of the family. 00:10:23.15\00:10:25.25 Here we look at people like Moses? 00:10:25.29\00:10:27.66 Where did he find asylum when the Pharaoh was after him? 00:10:27.69\00:10:31.33 He ran to Jethro the Midianite... 00:10:31.36\00:10:33.16 Midianite, right. 00:10:33.19\00:10:34.70 Again, someone from the other side of the family, 00:10:34.73\00:10:37.13 who sheltered, protected him. 00:10:37.17\00:10:39.17 Then we, you know, the grand story, 00:10:39.20\00:10:41.50 the three wise men bringing gifts 00:10:41.54\00:10:43.71 from the east to support Jesus 00:10:43.74\00:10:47.28 and His young and His family... 00:10:47.31\00:10:48.98 Yes. In Egypt. 00:10:49.01\00:10:50.35 That's tremendous. 00:10:50.38\00:10:51.71 What is your website 00:10:51.75\00:10:53.08 so that people can take a look at what you have? 00:10:53.11\00:10:54.45 The website is, is for Muslims or anybody can go there. 00:10:54.48\00:10:56.52 It's called salahallah.com. 00:10:56.55\00:10:59.42 Oh, could you spell it? Yes. 00:12:24.07\00:12:25.41 So AR TV is Adventist Review Television, 00:12:25.44\00:12:27.84 and it's a part of the Adventist Review, 00:12:27.88\00:12:29.61 which is the longest running publication 00:12:29.64\00:12:32.01 in really in Adventism, for sure, 00:12:32.05\00:12:35.88 but also as a Christian publication. 00:12:35.92\00:12:38.62 So it, you know, it's come from a long history, 00:12:38.65\00:12:41.39 and we're not just a print magazine anymore. 00:12:41.42\00:12:44.99 We're now in television, and digital, and innovation. 00:12:45.03\00:12:48.43 We're developing game, games, 00:12:48.46\00:12:50.93 which is one is going to be launched at Oshkosh, 00:12:50.97\00:12:53.07 which is a game console with virtual reality that's, 00:12:53.10\00:12:57.87 you actually become David and slay Goliath. 00:12:57.91\00:13:01.34 Really cool stuff right here at our booth. 00:13:01.38\00:13:03.35 But the thing that I'm most excited 00:13:03.38\00:13:04.78 about on ARTV is, 00:13:04.81\00:13:06.55 some of the projects that we're doing. 00:13:06.58\00:13:08.15 One of them is called 14th and U. 00:13:08.18\00:13:09.88 Now I grew up in Washington DC. 00:13:09.92\00:13:12.15 And one day I was standing there 00:13:12.19\00:13:13.52 at the corner of 14th and U, 00:13:13.56\00:13:14.89 and I said, "Boy, wouldn't it be interesting 00:13:14.92\00:13:16.39 if we tried to be much more current and relevant 00:13:16.42\00:13:20.00 and talk about the things that people are talking about?" 00:13:20.03\00:13:22.80 So I go down there every week. 00:13:22.83\00:13:24.60 I do man on the street. 00:13:24.63\00:13:25.97 Love it. 00:13:26.00\00:13:27.34 Ask them what they are, you know, 00:13:27.37\00:13:28.70 what are they thinking about topics like 00:13:28.74\00:13:31.47 surveillance, gun control, gun rise, sex abuse, 00:13:31.51\00:13:35.28 sex trafficking, the scandals with the college kids 00:13:35.31\00:13:38.75 and their parents paying for them to get in. 00:13:38.78\00:13:41.62 All those things that are really 00:13:41.65\00:13:43.32 on the top of people's minds. 00:13:43.35\00:13:45.32 And then we go back to the studio 00:13:45.35\00:13:46.76 and it's discussed by Dwain Esmond, 00:13:46.79\00:13:48.72 who is of the Ellen White Estate, 00:13:48.76\00:13:50.26 and Cliff Goldstein. 00:13:50.29\00:13:51.63 Most people know him, as he does a Sabbath School. 00:13:51.66\00:13:53.96 So that's, that's a really fun project 00:13:54.00\00:13:55.50 we're doing right now. 00:13:55.53\00:13:56.87 Oh, that sounds incredible. 00:13:56.90\00:13:58.57 I've seen some of your work and I'm loving, 00:13:58.60\00:14:01.54 that it's so contemporary, 00:14:01.57\00:14:03.10 like you're not just dealing with, 00:14:03.14\00:14:05.87 you're dealing with things 00:14:05.91\00:14:07.24 that are relevant to people right here and now. 00:14:07.28\00:14:09.64 And that's what's so important. 00:14:09.68\00:14:11.01 And you're not afraid to tackle the hard subjects. 00:14:11.05\00:14:14.02 We do that at Dare to Dream too. 00:14:14.05\00:14:15.82 Because you can, God has given you this platform 00:14:15.85\00:14:20.32 and you're using it. 00:14:20.36\00:14:21.69 What's your vision for ARTV? 00:14:21.72\00:14:23.32 What are you doing? 00:14:23.36\00:14:24.69 Our vision is to really get outside of the studio, 00:14:24.73\00:14:28.03 to get out where people are, 00:14:28.06\00:14:30.33 to touch them, to engage with them, 00:14:30.37\00:14:32.23 to have conversations with them, 00:14:32.27\00:14:34.00 and then sort of bring those, 00:14:34.04\00:14:37.21 you know, those issues and those stories 00:14:37.24\00:14:39.11 back into a more spiritual narrative. 00:14:39.14\00:14:42.18 Yes. 00:14:42.21\00:14:43.55 Because that's what's missing on the news. 00:14:43.58\00:14:44.91 People will watch the news. 00:14:44.95\00:14:46.28 And I'm not saying this is a new show, 00:14:46.31\00:14:47.72 but people are, you know, 00:14:47.75\00:14:49.42 the news cycle dominates our lives. 00:14:49.45\00:14:51.35 Absolutely. 00:14:51.39\00:14:52.72 You know, and people are so caught up 00:14:52.75\00:14:54.09 and they hear the negative, 00:14:54.12\00:14:55.46 they hear that this and that and the lies and, 00:14:55.49\00:14:57.69 but they never really get to 00:14:57.73\00:14:59.06 what does the Bible say about these things? 00:14:59.09\00:15:00.50 What's the deeper bigger story? 00:15:00.53\00:15:03.00 Yes. 00:15:03.03\00:15:04.37 And we want to bring all subjects 00:15:04.40\00:15:05.77 because you know, the Bible is, 00:15:05.80\00:15:07.97 it is exceedingly broad. 00:15:08.00\00:15:09.44 Yes. 00:15:09.47\00:15:10.81 And it deals with everything 00:15:10.84\00:15:12.17 if you understand the principle. 00:15:12.21\00:15:13.54 That's right. 00:15:13.58\00:15:14.91 So we bring out those principles. 00:15:14.94\00:15:16.28 So that's the vision for us. 00:15:16.31\00:15:17.65 That's so good, Rico. 00:15:17.68\00:15:19.01 Because again, it's one thing to watch the news, 00:15:19.05\00:15:21.55 it's another thing to place it within the spiritual context... 00:15:21.58\00:15:24.89 That's right. 00:15:24.92\00:15:26.25 And that's what you guys are doing. 00:15:26.29\00:15:27.69 Oh, that's, that is so important. 00:15:27.72\00:15:29.42 But not only with our, 00:15:29.46\00:15:30.79 this weekly show that we're doing, 00:15:30.83\00:15:32.16 14th and U. 00:15:32.19\00:15:33.53 But we're also doing it with our documentaries. 00:15:33.56\00:15:37.17 Any type, we're doing it with series 00:15:37.20\00:15:39.60 where we are looking for total integration 00:15:39.63\00:15:42.00 with the magazine. 00:15:42.04\00:15:43.37 So what you see on ARTV, you also see in the magazines, 00:15:43.41\00:15:47.28 and each one is sort of playing, 00:15:47.31\00:15:49.21 you know, promoting the other. 00:15:49.24\00:15:50.58 Nice, nice. 00:15:50.61\00:15:52.25 So there's some continuity there. 00:15:52.28\00:15:54.35 We want that continuity... Yes. 00:15:54.38\00:15:56.32 Whatever the platform you can engage with us, 00:15:56.35\00:15:58.75 so that you see that we're speaking this, 00:15:58.79\00:16:01.42 you know, whatever the audience is 00:16:01.46\00:16:02.79 'cause some people just want to go through a magazine. 00:16:02.82\00:16:04.46 Yes. 00:16:04.49\00:16:05.83 Others are, you know, they're digital 00:16:05.86\00:16:07.20 and they're on demand. 00:16:07.23\00:16:08.56 So we've got ARTV On Demand. 00:16:08.60\00:16:10.63 And you know, 00:16:10.67\00:16:12.00 so we're trying to be current on all platforms. 00:16:12.03\00:16:14.60 Wonderful. You 00:17:22.47\00:17:23.97 Yes, God really brought me, 00:17:24.01\00:17:27.18 I used to be a drug dealer. 00:17:27.21\00:17:29.54 And I was in the world doing the devil's work 00:17:29.58\00:17:34.02 until God called me from there in a very mighty way 00:17:34.05\00:17:39.19 and He brought me into know His truth. 00:17:39.22\00:17:43.22 And I started working for Him 00:17:43.26\00:17:45.46 in the medical missionary work. 00:17:45.49\00:17:48.33 And that's what we're doing. 00:17:48.36\00:17:50.23 We believe that the family 00:17:50.27\00:17:52.93 as a family can do a lot full time ministry. 00:17:52.97\00:17:57.14 So that's why we have Family Run Ministry 00:17:57.17\00:17:59.74 where we train the families to do medical missionary work. 00:17:59.77\00:18:03.38 So the whole family is involved 00:18:03.41\00:18:05.91 in doing medical missionary work? 00:18:05.95\00:18:07.78 Well, yes, but not necessarily 00:18:07.82\00:18:09.58 has to be all the members of the family. 00:18:09.62\00:18:11.89 But this is different than a large institution. 00:18:11.92\00:18:16.42 We're talking their family and their family level 00:18:16.46\00:18:19.09 where will be there, 00:18:19.13\00:18:20.63 all the family members or just their spouses, 00:18:20.66\00:18:23.47 you know, working on it, but on a family level. 00:18:23.50\00:18:27.07 So we're training families 00:18:27.10\00:18:29.00 to embrace medical missionary work, 00:18:29.04\00:18:31.37 and we train them in these four areas 00:18:31.41\00:18:34.18 with the health, country living, 00:18:34.21\00:18:36.18 business and outreach. 00:18:36.21\00:18:38.71 So let's go through each one a little bit. 00:18:38.75\00:18:40.88 So with the health, 00:18:40.92\00:18:42.25 what are you doing with the families with health? 00:18:42.28\00:18:43.99 Okay, we'll train them 00:18:44.02\00:18:45.35 how to deal with different problems. 00:18:45.39\00:18:50.36 The health problems with... 00:18:50.39\00:18:52.53 Using natural remedies? 00:18:52.56\00:18:53.90 Yes, using natural remedies and also teaching them 00:18:53.93\00:18:57.23 how to have a healthy lifestyle. 00:18:57.27\00:19:00.37 Okay, okay. What about country living? 00:19:00.40\00:19:03.24 Then we teach them on organic gardening, 00:19:03.27\00:19:05.71 how to do organic gardening in very simple way 00:19:05.74\00:19:08.41 but that's just fun part. 00:19:08.44\00:19:10.85 Now what about people, like, who live in the cities? 00:19:10.88\00:19:13.82 Do you have like, like, gardening like in apartments? 00:19:13.85\00:19:17.95 Would you like terrace, terrace gardening? 00:19:17.99\00:19:20.19 Yes, yes, they can do it. 00:19:20.22\00:19:22.22 We know people that in the seventh floor, 00:19:22.26\00:19:24.39 they have their garden right there in Miami... 00:19:24.43\00:19:27.10 Nice, nice. 00:19:27.13\00:19:28.66 So it can be done. Nice, nice. 00:19:28.70\00:19:30.23 Okay, what about business? 00:19:30.27\00:19:31.93 Yes, with the ministries, 00:19:31.97\00:19:33.30 they need to be self supporting, 00:19:33.34\00:19:35.07 you know, they need to be sustainable. 00:19:35.10\00:19:37.31 And so there we teach them administration 00:19:37.34\00:19:40.04 and some principle of accounting and business 00:19:40.08\00:19:42.81 so they can have their own income generator 00:19:42.84\00:19:45.58 in order to operate and in that way, 00:19:45.61\00:19:47.55 do the Lord's work. 00:19:47.58\00:19:48.92 So you're only teaching them how to help others, 00:19:48.95\00:19:53.79 but you're teaching, you're helping them 00:19:53.82\00:19:56.39 to have another income stream. 00:19:56.42\00:19:57.96 Yes. Oh, that's a great idea. 00:19:57.99\00:20:00.53 That is a great idea. 00:20:00.56\00:20:01.96 So with the business, they, this becomes... 00:20:02.00\00:20:05.37 It's ministry, but it's also business, Right, 00:20:05.40\00:20:07.97 so they have their income generator 00:20:08.00\00:20:09.47 so they can spread the gospel. 00:20:09.50\00:20:11.14 And that bring us to the other part 00:20:11.17\00:20:13.81 of our outreach, the program, 00:20:13.84\00:20:16.41 which is getting to the people, leading them 00:20:16.44\00:20:20.62 into the Lord's plan of salvation, 00:20:20.65\00:20:23.28 so the outreach... 00:20:23.32\00:20:24.65 Ah, so evangelism outreach. 00:20:24.69\00:20:26.02 Evangelism, yes, we have a small group, 00:20:26.05\00:20:27.96 we do evangelistic campaigns, 00:20:27.99\00:20:30.43 and we work with the church and help to spread the gospel. 00:20:30.46\00:20:35.96 So all these things helps as a family, 00:20:36.00\00:20:38.90 so they can have a good environment 00:20:38.93\00:20:42.40 living in the country. 00:20:42.44\00:20:43.81 If that's the case, we teach them 00:20:43.84\00:20:46.37 how they can have their own health 00:20:46.41\00:20:50.01 and also help other people. 00:20:50.05\00:20:51.81 You see the Lord did teaching. 00:20:51.85\00:20:54.88 He did the preaching, and also He did the healing. 00:20:54.92\00:20:58.02 That's right. 00:20:58.05\00:20:59.39 And if we as a family can be doing that, 00:20:59.42\00:21:02.09 that's what He wants us to do, His work. 00:21:02.12\00:21:03.73 Nice, yes, yes. 00:21:03.76\00:21:06.70 So what you're doing is you're meeting people 00:21:06.73\00:21:09.13 at their point of need... 00:21:09.16\00:21:10.87 Yes. 00:21:10.90\00:21:12.23 You know, because people need healing, 00:21:12.27\00:21:14.24 they need information on how to do things naturally. 00:21:14.27\00:21:17.71 And then you're kind of walking them through, 00:21:17.74\00:21:19.84 you know, helping themselves and helping others... 00:21:19.87\00:21:22.51 There you go. 00:21:22.54\00:21:23.88 And leading them to Jesus. Yes. 00:21:23.91\00:21:25.55 So and that's exciting, you know, to see family 00:21:25.58\00:21:29.18 because there's a lot of families 00:21:29.22\00:21:30.55 that they are tired of just sitting 00:21:30.59\00:21:32.45 in the pews in the church, 00:21:32.49\00:21:34.09 but they want to do more than that. 00:21:34.12\00:21:36.22 But they don't know how, so we're training them. 00:21:36.26\00:21:38.99 And we have a book that will help them 00:21:39.03\00:21:41.56 how to guidelines, how to do that. 00:21:41.60\00:21:44.07 Yeah, thank you so much. 00:21:44.10\00:21:45.43 Give us your website real quick. 00:21:45.47\00:21:47.17 www.cmsmex.com. 00:21:47.20\00:21:52.97 God bless God bless. 00:21:53.01\00:21:54.34 Thank you. 00:21:54.38\00:21:56.71 Jaime is no stranger to the Dare to Dream Network. 00:21:56.75\00:21:59.75 I love the four components of Family Run Ministries, 00:21:59.78\00:22:03.59 health, country living, business and outreach. 00:22:03.62\00:22:07.72 Family Run Ministries 00:22:07.76\00:22:09.09 is mobilizing people for Christ. 00:22:09.12\00:22:11.26 Let's take a look at our final guest. 00:22:11.29\00:22:14.56 I'm here with Pastor Rich Contan... 00:22:14.60\00:22:17.90 I knew I was gonna mess up your name. 00:22:17.93\00:22:19.27 No problem. How does it work? 00:24:42.24\00:24:44.48 Okay, the Revival Plan is a 16 month journey. 00:24:44.51\00:24:49.12 And in the 16 months, you read 10 pages a day. 00:24:49.15\00:24:52.75 If you sign up at revivalplan.com, 00:24:52.79\00:24:55.32 you can get an email every day with 10 pages 00:24:55.36\00:24:58.89 and also the audio clip of just those 10 pages. 00:24:58.93\00:25:02.16 And so you complete it in 16 months. 00:25:02.20\00:25:03.93 It's never been done before. 00:25:03.97\00:25:05.90 The Testimonies for the Church 00:25:05.93\00:25:07.27 have been addressed, generally speaking, 00:25:07.30\00:25:10.31 but I don't know that there's ever been 00:25:10.34\00:25:11.81 a really concerted effort to thoroughly study that. 00:25:11.84\00:25:16.24 And so back in the 60's during a time 00:25:16.28\00:25:18.21 of great political upheaval, 00:25:18.25\00:25:20.12 of sexual exploration, and of civil unrest, 00:25:20.15\00:25:24.35 there was something called testimony countdown. 00:25:24.39\00:25:27.16 And that was an overview, 00:25:27.19\00:25:29.29 over 10 nights at various churches 00:25:29.32\00:25:31.76 in our denomination Takoma Park, 00:25:31.79\00:25:33.96 at the GC there was at in Keene, 00:25:34.00\00:25:36.20 Southwestern, Hinsdale, Illinois. 00:25:36.23\00:25:38.37 And so they did this testimony countdown, 00:25:38.40\00:25:41.67 but it was an overview. 00:25:41.70\00:25:43.04 It was very successful, and it brought great revival. 00:25:43.07\00:25:46.24 So this is more of an in depth. 00:25:46.27\00:25:47.74 So that's the first piece is the testimonies reading. 00:25:47.78\00:25:50.18 And then I can tell you a little bit more if you want. 00:25:50.21\00:25:52.11 Yeah, please, do, do. 00:25:52.15\00:25:54.08 So the second part, 00:25:54.12\00:25:55.95 no revival can happen without prayer. 00:25:55.98\00:25:57.72 Yes. 00:25:57.75\00:25:59.09 And so we have an initiative called Pioneer Prayer, 00:25:59.12\00:26:02.22 which is trying to restore going back 00:26:02.26\00:26:03.99 to the old paths of apostolic, 00:26:04.03\00:26:07.20 first century dedication to God. 00:26:07.23\00:26:10.20 And so also the first experience 00:26:10.23\00:26:13.00 of our pioneers as well. 00:26:13.03\00:26:14.37 So a pioneer prayer basically for the next, 00:26:14.40\00:26:17.64 I'd say 48 weeks 00:26:17.67\00:26:19.21 until the next GC session in 2020. 00:26:19.24\00:26:23.35 We're wanting people to pray every week, 00:26:23.38\00:26:26.92 in a small group for at least a half an hour 00:26:26.95\00:26:29.12 of dedicated prayer 00:26:29.15\00:26:30.75 for the General Conference session, 00:26:30.79\00:26:32.59 and also praying about our own lives and characters. 00:26:32.62\00:26:36.16 And so Pioneer Prayer 00:26:36.19\00:26:37.53 is the second initiative of Revival Plan, 00:26:37.56\00:26:39.56 where we actually take requests directly 00:26:39.59\00:26:41.90 from the testimonies themselves. 00:26:41.93\00:26:44.20 So when I read the testimonies, 00:26:44.23\00:26:46.23 I am convicted. 00:26:46.27\00:26:47.74 And so I don't want to lose hope. 00:26:47.77\00:26:49.10 So I pray and I asked God, 00:26:49.14\00:26:50.47 please help me to be a better father. 00:26:50.51\00:26:51.84 Help me to be a better husband. 00:26:51.87\00:26:53.21 Help me to be a better pastor, 00:26:53.24\00:26:54.58 a better Christian. 00:26:54.61\00:26:55.94 And so these, these requests are taken 00:26:55.98\00:26:58.51 for the next 48 weeks, 00:26:58.55\00:26:59.88 every week from the testimonies themselves. 00:26:59.91\00:27:01.75 You can sign up at revivalplan.com 00:27:01.78\00:27:03.75 Revivalplan.com, what a great plan. 00:27:03.79\00:27:07.86 Praise the Lord. We praise the Lord for it. 00:27:07.89\00:27:09.72 And thank you so much for your ministry. 00:27:09.76\00:27:11.66 Praise the Lord. Thank you. God bless you. 00:27:11.69\00:27:14.06 We are definitely in need of revival. 00:27:14.10\00:27:16.43 And I love this unique approach 00:27:16.46\00:27:17.90 that Pastor Rich's ministry is taking 00:27:17.93\00:27:19.97 that Pastor Rich's and inspire revival and reformation. 00:27:20.00\00:27:23.67 I'm a firm believer that Jesus is coming back soon. 00:27:23.71\00:27:26.81 Please make sure 00:27:26.84\00:27:28.18 you keep all of these ministries 00:27:28.21\00:27:29.54 in your prayers and consider supporting them 00:27:29.58\00:27:32.18 as they continue to spread the gospel 00:27:32.21\00:27:34.18 around the world. 00:27:34.22\00:27:35.62 Maybe God is calling you to get personally involved 00:27:35.65\00:27:38.05 with one of these ministries. 00:27:38.09\00:27:39.89 Whatever the case may be, 00:27:39.92\00:27:41.26 make sure you seek God's will for your life. 00:27:41.29\00:27:44.23 He knows you better than you know yourself 00:27:44.26\00:27:46.23 and He sees the end from the beginning. 00:27:46.26\00:27:48.86 Place all your trust in Him. 00:27:48.90\00:27:51.60 And remember, He loves you with an everlasting love. 00:27:51.63\00:27:56.30 Well, we've reached the end of another program. 00:27:56.34\00:27:58.91 Thanks for tuning in. 00:27:58.94\00:28:00.31 And remember, 00:28:00.34\00:28:01.68 it just wouldn't be the same without you. 00:28:01.71\00:28:04.41
