Yeah. 00:07:46.66\00:07:48.00 Why is health so important to you? 00:07:48.03\00:07:50.20 I mean, health is very essential 00:07:50.23\00:07:51.57 because especially right now, 00:07:51.60\00:07:53.47 not only as a means of helping us, you know, 00:07:53.50\00:07:55.70 physically to be able to present the gospel even better, 00:07:55.74\00:07:58.54 present it to individuals, 00:07:58.57\00:08:00.38 and you know, to the end for our life 00:08:00.41\00:08:01.81 where we can actually be a more powerful witness 00:08:01.84\00:08:03.98 but it's also an end-to-end voyage. 00:08:04.01\00:08:05.51 Just like the health food store 00:08:05.55\00:08:06.88 is not just another health food store. 00:08:06.92\00:08:08.25 Okay. But guess what? 00:08:08.28\00:08:09.62 It's a city mission. 00:08:09.65\00:08:10.99 It is a sense of influence where we can be able to reach 00:08:11.02\00:08:13.66 more people in our local community 00:08:13.69\00:08:15.86 and ensuring that gospel reach them 00:08:15.89\00:08:17.23 before it's too late. 00:08:17.26\00:08:18.59 Nice. 00:08:18.63\00:08:19.96 And you know that the theme of ASI this year is unusual, 00:08:20.00\00:08:21.43 Business Unusual. 00:08:21.46\00:08:22.80 So this is basically unusual business of evangelism. 00:08:22.83\00:08:24.53 I'm loving it. 00:08:24.57\00:08:25.90 Yeah, and God is just using this practical ways 00:08:25.93\00:08:27.80 of establishment to meet people every single day 00:08:27.84\00:08:30.44 and have contact with them, and then as a result, 00:08:30.47\00:08:32.97 leading them to Christ in a very systematic way. 00:08:33.01\00:08:34.78 Amen. 00:08:34.81\00:08:36.14 And then so take us to the wellness center 00:08:36.18\00:08:38.28 or the sanitarium. 00:08:38.31\00:08:39.88 What takes place there? 00:08:39.91\00:08:42.02 Somebody was baptized, weren't they? 00:08:42.05\00:08:43.99 Yes, actually, a few days ago, 00:08:44.02\00:08:45.89 we had the grand opening of the lifestyle center. 00:08:45.92\00:08:49.19 And it was just, we had a previous health guest 00:08:49.22\00:08:51.63 that expressed his to give his life to God. 00:08:51.66\00:08:54.93 He wants to give his life to God. 00:08:54.96\00:08:56.30 And as a result of going through the program, 00:08:56.33\00:08:58.47 he decided to give his heart to God. 00:08:58.50\00:09:00.50 And so he was baptized at the dedication service 00:09:00.54\00:09:03.64 that we had for the ministry, Upstate New York. 00:09:03.67\00:09:07.41 Yeah, so basically sanitariums 00:09:07.44\00:09:09.14 don't just make sick people well 00:09:09.18\00:09:12.55 but it leads people to Christ. 00:09:12.58\00:09:14.52 And that was the most powerful thing 00:09:14.55\00:09:15.88 we have ever witnessed on the campus, 00:09:15.92\00:09:17.95 to see a soul give his life to God. 00:09:17.99\00:09:19.82 Amen. Yes. 00:09:19.85\00:09:21.19 And who's involved in the team? This is a family thing. 00:09:21.22\00:09:23.73 Who is involved in the team? 00:09:23.76\00:09:25.73 Right now, initially, we really started as family 00:09:25.76\00:09:28.13 but then it's growing beyond just family. 00:09:28.16\00:09:30.70 So we do have our individuals 00:09:30.73\00:09:32.07 who are now coming on to the team 00:09:32.10\00:09:33.44 and are still praying for more as well 00:09:33.47\00:09:34.97 because we need a lot more labors in many aspects 00:09:35.00\00:09:37.74 as it is growing in many different aspects of the team 00:09:37.77\00:09:40.58 to allow it to be done more effectively 00:09:40.61\00:09:42.71 and allow it to be done 00:09:42.74\00:09:44.08 in a more efficient manner as well. 00:09:44.11\00:09:45.85 Amen. Yes. 00:09:45.88\00:09:47.22 Yeah, man, you guys are doing amazing things 00:09:47.25\00:09:49.42 for the cause of Christ. 00:09:49.45\00:09:50.79 And you also have several products too. 00:09:50.82\00:09:53.19 I mean, what are some of the products 00:09:53.22\00:09:54.72 that you have there? 00:09:54.76\00:09:56.09 We have several products 00:09:56.12\00:09:57.46 when it comes to health products. 00:09:57.49\00:09:58.83 I mean, different cleanses, 00:09:58.86\00:10:00.20 you know, colon detox, blood detoc, blood purifying, 00:10:00.23\00:10:02.46 and all of different types of natural products. 00:10:02.50\00:10:04.63 And also we're getting into 00:10:04.67\00:10:06.00 the health food products too as well. 00:10:06.03\00:10:07.37 To help our health food store 00:10:07.40\00:10:08.74 so we can provide a cost efficient, 00:10:08.77\00:10:11.74 good quality food 00:10:11.77\00:10:13.11 that we can actually control the quality of the food 00:10:13.14\00:10:14.94 that people are actually getting. 00:10:14.98\00:10:16.31 Avoid the GMOs and all that stuff. 00:10:16.34\00:10:18.48 We want people to access healthy. 00:10:18.51\00:10:20.58 So it's not just a rich man's thing 00:10:20.62\00:10:22.52 or an expensive endeavor, 00:10:22.55\00:10:24.12 but simple people and simple communities 00:10:24.15\00:10:26.49 can live a healthier lifestyle. 00:10:26.52\00:10:27.86 And that's what 00:10:27.89\00:10:29.22 health food store is all about too. 00:10:29.26\00:10:30.59 Which is huge because I mean, there's such an issue of 00:10:30.63\00:10:31.96 if you're not paying for it, you know, upfront, 00:10:31.99\00:10:34.53 you're making it affordable which is excellent. 00:10:34.56\00:10:37.17 And, you know, a lot of people will spend 00:10:37.20\00:10:39.33 a lot of money at the hospital 00:10:39.37\00:10:41.07 as opposed to taking that preventative care. 00:10:41.10\00:10:43.41 Eventually that is the important. 00:10:43.44\00:10:44.77 Absolutely. 00:10:44.81\00:10:46.14 Well, I just want to thank you guys for what you're doing, 00:10:46.17\00:10:47.81 what you're allowing the Lord to do through you. 00:10:47.84\00:10:50.98 Keep doing it, 00:10:51.01\00:10:52.35 and I'm looking forward to hearing more, 00:10:52.38\00:10:55.65 our viewers and me are looking forward 00:10:55.68\00:10:58.75 to hearing more about what you've got going on. 00:10:58.79\00:11:00.72 Thank you for what you're doing for the cause of Christ. 00:11:00.76\00:11:02.52 Praise God. 00:11:02.56\00:11:04.66 Wow. 00:11:04.69\00:11:06.03 God has blessed their ministry tremendously, 00:11:06.06\00:11:08.20 and they are continuing to grow. 00:11:08.23\00:11:10.07 You know, I've interviewed them before on Urban Report, 00:11:10.10\00:11:13.57 and it's like, you know, 00:11:13.60\00:11:15.10 when they've prayed about different things, 00:11:15.14\00:11:17.87 areas where they wanted to grow, 00:11:17.91\00:11:20.01 we've been able to see 00:11:20.04\00:11:21.38 where God has blessed their ministry 00:11:21.41\00:11:23.35 and helped them to flourish. 00:11:23.38\00:11:25.25 Let's check in with Felicia Datus 00:11:25.28\00:11:26.82 and see what she has going on. 00:11:26.85\00:11:28.48 I am excited to learn about this ministry, 00:11:30.49\00:11:33.96 the Center for Online Evangelism. 00:11:33.99\00:11:36.26 I'm here with Felicia Datus, 00:11:36.29\00:11:38.29 and she's going to tell us a little bit about 00:11:38.33\00:11:40.20 what they do and who they are. 00:11:40.23\00:11:41.76 Yeah, Jason, thanks so much. 00:11:41.80\00:11:43.13 Well, we are at the Center of Online Evangelism, 00:11:43.16\00:11:45.47 and what happens is that 00:11:45.50\00:11:46.90 a lot of times someone hears about Adventists, 00:11:46.94\00:11:49.40 or they hear the name Ellen White, 00:11:49.44\00:11:50.97 and the first thing that they're going to do 00:11:51.01\00:11:52.37 especially in this day and age is pull up their phone, 00:11:52.41\00:11:54.48 and they're going to Google who are Adventists. 00:11:54.51\00:11:57.05 Unfortunately, many of the content 00:11:57.08\00:11:59.01 that comes up is not always positive. 00:11:59.05\00:12:01.68 So we have others who are actually 00:12:01.72\00:12:03.42 telling the Adventist's story. 00:12:03.45\00:12:04.99 Some of the content shows up 00:12:05.02\00:12:06.35 and says that either were a cult 00:12:06.39\00:12:07.72 or that Ellen White is a false prophet. 00:12:07.76\00:12:10.16 Some of the information is not what we want to have out there. 00:12:10.19\00:12:14.33 And so we know that 60% of people 00:12:14.36\00:12:17.40 who start attending church or evangelistic series, 00:12:17.43\00:12:20.04 for example, stop attending 00:12:20.07\00:12:21.70 because of this negative content 00:12:21.74\00:12:23.07 of what they are seeing. 00:12:23.10\00:12:24.44 What percentage? Sixty percent. 00:12:24.47\00:12:26.14 Sixty percent? Yes. 00:12:26.17\00:12:27.64 So we had an evangelistic over 20-year period, 00:12:27.68\00:12:30.78 every time someone stopped attending, 00:12:30.81\00:12:32.51 he would go and he would interview them and ask them, 00:12:32.55\00:12:34.18 "Hey, why did you just stopped attending?" 00:12:34.22\00:12:35.75 You know, many of these persons, 00:12:35.78\00:12:37.45 they accept Sabbath, they accept these Bible truths. 00:12:37.49\00:12:39.95 But then they tell... For example, their parents. 00:12:39.99\00:12:41.96 "Yeah, I'm visiting an Adventist church," 00:12:41.99\00:12:44.29 and then they go on Google they say, 00:12:44.33\00:12:45.66 "You're part of a cult," for example. 00:12:45.69\00:12:48.43 And so many of these people stopped attending 00:12:48.46\00:12:50.37 because of that. 00:12:50.40\00:12:51.73 So at the Center for Online Evangelism, 00:12:51.77\00:12:53.64 we realized that 00:12:53.67\00:12:55.00 there is a mission field online, 00:12:55.04\00:12:57.11 and we need to start creating more content, 00:12:57.14\00:13:00.41 more positive content, more biblical truth, 00:13:00.44\00:13:02.48 putting that online so that when people are searching 00:13:02.51\00:13:04.88 and they want to know who is Jesus Christ, 00:13:04.91\00:13:06.58 or questions about the Bible, finding out about the Sabbath, 00:13:06.61\00:13:10.25 that they are finding positive content 00:13:10.29\00:13:12.49 and also about Adventists. 00:13:12.52\00:13:14.09 And truthful content 00:13:14.12\00:13:15.46 because all the other stuff that they're putting out 00:13:15.49\00:13:17.86 with that negative connotation is false. 00:13:17.89\00:13:21.06 It's falsehood. Right. 00:13:21.10\00:13:22.43 And so with our organization, it's a four-fold work. 00:13:22.46\00:13:25.77 First thing, we do search engine optimization, 00:13:25.80\00:13:27.87 and those who are in marketing... 00:13:27.90\00:13:29.30 SEO. Digital maketing, 00:13:29.34\00:13:30.67 SEO, they may be familiar with that. 00:13:30.71\00:13:32.31 So we're taking these very same concepts 00:13:32.34\00:13:34.01 and applying that into evangelism. 00:13:34.04\00:13:35.94 And we also want to train others out there. 00:13:35.98\00:13:38.61 So whatever ministry you have, 00:13:38.65\00:13:40.25 you can apply the same thing in the online field. 00:13:40.28\00:13:42.92 Wow. So this is universal. 00:13:42.95\00:13:44.59 It's across the board. Precisely. 00:13:44.62\00:13:46.42 So whether, for example, 00:13:46.45\00:13:47.79 if you have a Bible study at your church, 00:13:47.82\00:13:49.26 maybe about 50 people would turn up. 00:13:49.29\00:13:51.09 But if you incorporate an online aspect of value, 00:13:51.13\00:13:53.46 you can have persons from all over the world 00:13:53.50\00:13:55.26 who are right there joining you for that online Bible study. 00:13:55.30\00:13:58.23 We also have a course coming up. 00:13:58.27\00:14:00.37 It's digital marketing course. 00:14:00.40\00:14:01.74 We are teaching people how to apply 00:14:01.77\00:14:03.10 those very same principles into evangelism. 00:14:03.14\00:14:06.04 You have a digital marketing course? 00:14:06.07\00:14:07.84 We have that coming up in the fall. 00:14:07.88\00:14:09.48 Yeah, I might want to sign up for that. 00:14:09.51\00:14:11.68 Yeah, most definitely. I need to ask you about that. 00:14:11.71\00:14:13.28 I need to learn about that. Yeah. 00:14:13.31\00:14:14.65 So we're asking churches and pastors, you know, 00:14:14.68\00:14:17.12 you can send someone to learn about online evangelism 00:14:17.15\00:14:20.56 and take that right back into the church, 00:14:20.59\00:14:22.12 and teach them how to fish for men 00:14:22.16\00:14:23.79 rather than us doing it 00:14:23.83\00:14:25.16 or a certain organization doing it. 00:14:25.19\00:14:26.56 So those are some of the main components of our ministry. 00:14:26.59\00:14:29.56 Which is beautiful because you know, 00:14:29.60\00:14:30.93 where as you know, 00:14:30.97\00:14:32.47 we're living in a digital age, you know? 00:14:32.50\00:14:34.40 So everybody, like you said, pulling out that smartphone 00:14:34.44\00:14:37.01 and going and googling everything. 00:14:37.04\00:14:38.91 Precisely. Absolutely. 00:14:38.94\00:14:40.28 While we are here at ASI, this is what, 00:14:40.31\00:14:42.64 the second day or the third day of ASI, 00:14:42.68\00:14:45.18 we've had so many people come by our booth, Jason, 00:14:45.21\00:14:47.65 and they said this ministry is so important 00:14:47.68\00:14:50.39 because I had a son-in-law, I had a daughter, 00:14:50.42\00:14:52.75 or I know of someone who started attending church, 00:14:52.79\00:14:55.69 persons who were attending faithfully for a whole year, 00:14:55.72\00:14:57.89 and then they decided to google and they were like, 00:14:57.93\00:15:00.13 "This content is just too much," 00:15:00.16\00:15:01.50 so Pastor Google's voice actually seems to be 00:15:01.53\00:15:05.13 louder than our own voice. 00:15:05.17\00:15:06.50 People are trusting Pastor Google 00:15:06.53\00:15:07.97 more than they're trusting us. 00:15:08.00\00:15:09.64 Pastor Google. Pastor Google. Any... 00:15:09.67\00:15:12.07 Listen, if someone had a headache, 00:15:12.11\00:15:13.44 what do they do? 00:15:13.48\00:15:14.81 They go and google it. That's true. 00:15:14.84\00:15:16.18 So if someone has a question about the Bible, 00:15:16.21\00:15:17.55 they're going to google it, 00:15:17.58\00:15:18.91 and they're going to trust Google more. 00:15:18.95\00:15:20.28 So if we're now having that positive content, 00:15:20.32\00:15:22.68 it makes a big difference. 00:15:22.72\00:15:24.05 Wow. 00:15:24.09\00:15:25.42 So you're making a difference in evangelism 00:15:25.45\00:15:27.46 in the digital space. 00:15:27.49\00:15:28.82 Precisely. 00:15:28.86\00:15:30.19 And then we are teaching churches how to do it. 00:15:30.23\00:15:31.56 We're teaching pastors. 00:15:31.59\00:15:32.93 Listen, it's not just about getting up there 00:15:32.96\00:15:34.80 and preaching on Sabbath morning, 00:15:34.83\00:15:36.30 that same sermon you can take it out, 00:15:36.33\00:15:37.87 you can turn that into a podcast, 00:15:37.90\00:15:39.33 you can have a YouTube channel, 00:15:39.37\00:15:40.90 get the members of your church involved in online evangelism. 00:15:40.94\00:15:44.27 So have you seen how... 00:15:44.31\00:15:46.07 Has it helped with member retention? 00:15:46.11\00:15:48.74 Most definitely because one thing 00:15:48.78\00:15:51.21 when members realize 00:15:51.25\00:15:52.81 or when people from the community realize, 00:15:52.85\00:15:54.45 you know, the church is not just about 00:15:54.48\00:15:55.88 Bible study and prayer, while that is very important, 00:15:55.92\00:15:58.49 but if I'm struggling with mental health, 00:15:58.52\00:16:00.32 I can go to our church's website 00:16:00.36\00:16:01.86 because they have a whole video series 00:16:01.89\00:16:03.29 about mental health. 00:16:03.32\00:16:04.66 Or someone who is struggling with pornography, for example, 00:16:04.69\00:16:07.70 they know that their church has a YouTube channel 00:16:07.73\00:16:10.03 dealing specifically with that. 00:16:10.07\00:16:11.97 So the church is actually 00:16:12.00\00:16:13.57 catering to needs of people online. 00:16:13.60\00:16:15.50 So it points you in the right direction 00:16:15.54\00:16:17.57 where you can get biblical truth. 00:16:17.61\00:16:18.94 Precisely. 00:16:18.97\00:16:20.31 Thank you so much for what you're doing 00:16:20.34\00:16:21.68 for the cause of Christ 00:16:21.71\00:16:23.04 and this just goes to show that there're so many different ways 00:16:23.08\00:16:25.91 that you can get involved in ministry. 00:16:25.95\00:16:27.48 Yes. Thank you so much. 00:16:27.52\00:16:28.85 Yes. God bless you. 00:16:28.88\00:16:30.22 So they can visit our website and subscribe. 00:16:30.25\00:16:31.59 Thanks. 00:16:31.62\00:16:32.95 There are many different facets in ministry, 00:16:34.22\00:16:36.46 and it's awesome to see that Felicia is having an impact 00:16:36.49\00:16:39.49 in the digital space. 00:16:39.53\00:16:41.00 Let's go see what Taylor has to say 00:16:41.03\00:16:43.00 about the Fruition Lab. 00:16:43.03\00:16:44.57 I'm excited to learn more about the Fruition Lab, 00:16:46.84\00:16:51.57 the school ministry that's doing 00:16:51.61\00:16:53.48 an amazing thing for Christ. 00:16:53.51\00:16:54.84 I'm here with one of the co-founders 00:16:54.88\00:16:56.81 Taylor Paris. 00:16:56.85\00:16:58.18 Taylor, tell us all about the Fruition Lab. 00:16:58.21\00:17:00.82 What is it? Yeah. 00:17:22.20\00:17:24.14 You know, we are one of the few. 00:17:24.17\00:17:26.64 But we're just excited because you know, 00:17:26.68\00:17:28.71 there's so many people that want to start something, 00:17:28.74\00:17:31.45 they don't know how. 00:17:31.48\00:17:32.81 So it just kind of gives them the tools, the tips, 00:17:32.85\00:17:35.52 and the community to empower them because, you know, 00:17:35.55\00:17:38.09 entrepreneurship can be very lonely, 00:17:38.12\00:17:40.69 starting certainly can be lonely. 00:17:40.72\00:17:42.49 So we're really excited to give people a community 00:17:42.52\00:17:45.73 to really to launch things. 00:17:45.76\00:17:47.76 Absolutely. 00:17:47.80\00:17:49.13 Why is that so important? 00:17:49.16\00:17:51.57 Well, we feel it's really important 00:17:51.60\00:17:53.44 because business, more than anything else, 00:17:53.47\00:17:56.60 has an impact on community. 00:17:56.64\00:17:59.01 So on your employees, your customers, 00:17:59.04\00:18:02.44 and all the people that you impact, 00:18:02.48\00:18:05.31 business does that in a bigger way 00:18:05.35\00:18:06.75 and you can do it by yourself. 00:18:06.78\00:18:08.42 So that's why we really feel that empowering ministries, 00:18:08.45\00:18:11.75 businesses to grow that are faith-driven 00:18:11.79\00:18:15.09 can have a huge impact on our world 00:18:15.12\00:18:18.06 and our faith community. 00:18:18.09\00:18:19.56 Absolutely.
