close to our aging parents,

Yeah, and it's hard
to leave over there,

and come here and think,

And we begin to look around,

at Houston, Texas.

And this is the fifth largest
metro area, fast growing,

the most diverse
place in United States.

Because there is no
majority population,

and because they
have 4,000 to 5,000

new refugees coming
in every single year,

entering there.

So as we were discovering this,

we found out they're coming
from the hardest countries

in the world, meaning,

you're most likely

to be persecuted as a Christian,

so like Afghanistan, Somalia,

these places that
you just couldn't go.

But God has sent them
here, I believe for a reason.

We have this influx,

we've got
immigrants, we have refugees,

we have international students,

more than a million
international students studying

and I think God has done it

because He wants us
to get the work done

and we didn't go there.

And so we got to go down there,

thought he was talking

but Rachel began
to come close to him,

and smile, and talk to him,

and he was intrigued
that she was from China,

you know, Taiwan
and spoke Chinese,

and pretty soon his
story was pouring out,

that during the Khmer Rouge

and the Pol Pot
War in that country,

his first wife
had been separated

from him and killed.

And then in the refugee camp,

he remarried,
only to have that wife,

as she was pregnant,

step on a
landmine and also died.

So he said to us,

he said, you know,
you can see the tears

still in his
eyes 30 years later.

You can imagine, I never
want to get married again.

And then he said, but
then this lady found me.

pulled out one of the few things

that didn't get
ruined by the flood,

picture of his third wife.

the Buddhist temple.

brings people together,
