a pretty long process.

everybody was talking about

the election coming

and you had all these
people running for offices

and I began to
watch the Democrats,

watch the Republicans,
and the independents

and watch all of these people

and things they would say
to their audiences to make sure

they got votes

was just
ridiculous a lot of times.

And I'm like, you
know, these people

they're so worried about
being politically correct,

it seems like somewhere

the truth has been lost in this.

started having this burden

because I thought, "Man,
there are all of these people,

there's an audience out there,

say they're Christians

and were deciding
'How am I gonna vote?'

religion work into politics

and which way am I gonna go."

And so I began to
hear people make excuses

for voting in
ways that you wonder,

well, this doesn't
line up with the Bible

or supporting candidates

that doesn't line
up with the Bible.

And I said, you know,
something needs to be...

I've never been
one as, you might know,

even when I was a kid, to
keep my mouth shut too much.

If I got in trouble,
I usually wasn't mean,

I was talking
too much, you know,

when my folks tell me
to be quiet or something.

been one that felt like,

something has to be said

or something has to be done.

And so it began to dawn on
me, the Spiritual Vigilantes.

I looked at churches,

I looked at how churches

were mixing
politics and religion, Jason.

And I'm like, you
know, this is amazing to me.

Isn't it
interesting, in the world

we have Vigilantes, physical,

when we talk about a vigilante,

someone who takes
the law of the land

into their own hands,

they become judge,
jury, and executioner.

And I said it's
amazing that Christians,

some Christians
and even churches,

have taken God's law
into their own hands.

So based on that, I thought,

"Let's don't be

first and serve Him

no matter what His law
says, do we love Him enough,

do we trust Him

So let's talk about
how they've taken God's law

into their own hands.

How did they do that?

Well, this started, you
know, thousands of years ago,

but hundreds of years ago,

and we can look back
into the first century AD,

for instance,
there were Christians

who took God's law and
tried, I always say tried,

they didn't change
the fourth commandment

but they tried.

God gave us Ten Commandments,

he didn't give us a
smorgasbord and say,

"Jay, pick out, you know,

which one of
these you want to keep?"

He said,
"Here's Ten Commandments
00:04:47.48\00:04:48.82
and he listed them all,

and these are
the ones you keep."

But people, supposedly,

theologians got
together and said,

"Well, you really
don't have to do that.

Let's go by tradition.

We don't want to be
associated with Judaism.

So we're going to
start our own day of worship

and so we're going to do it
on the first day of the week."

That, to me, is a
spiritual vigilante

because you're now fooling
around with the laws of God.

That's the last
thing I want to, you know,

be doing is
messing with God, right?

So we've seen it over and
over and over, then in 1970s,

here in the
United States of America,

'73 or so, you know,
we had Roe versus Wade,
00:05:24.62\00:05:27.36
that's way before Jay was born.
00:05:27.39\00:05:29.62
And the abortion... I
remember reading about that.

And so many
Christians support abortion.
00:05:31.86\00:05:34.86
Well, if I have it right,

abortion would be
about the sixth commandment,

"Thou shalt not murder."

And so we say, well, you
know, it's the law of the land,

and, you know,
it's just something,

maybe people
should have a choice.

But I would say,

some people think
it's okay to abort a child

literally up to minutes

before they
come out of the womb.

So I say, "Well, it's
okay to kill a child anytime,

whatever trimester,
all the way till the end.

But as soon as
it's born and comes out,

then it's murder."

people have compromised,

Such a word as sneaked up on us.

the same sex marriage.

We, as a country, I
didn't get to vote on it,

Obama administration...

Why can they pass a law
that the Supreme Court passes,

and it says that a man and a man

or a woman and a
woman can be married

when Scripture says
everything but, it says,

'God created
man, male and female,'

and He said, 'Be
fruitful and multiply.'

And yet now,

the United States government
has said that same..."

And not only the United States,

many
governments around the world

have said that same
sex marriage is lawful

and it's normal and it's okay.

So these are all
attempts of the world

or the church
to change something

we have no jurisdiction over.

So what do you say to
people who might say to you,

"Well, I don't agree
with same sex marriage,

but I don't like
this about the other party

or I don't like that
about the other party"?

What do you... How
would you answer that?

Because that's what
a lot of people say.

been dead since 1974.

But I can hear him saying

drilled it into my mind

when I was a little kid,

Usually, it's

"Oh, well, this candidate..."

talking Trump or Hillary

or if it's going
to be Oprah here.

We know when there have
been heads of our countries,

necessarily Christians.

people who followed God,

but were looking at policy

of God on a country.

Donald Trump or Barack Obama.

And because we don't like

how this person
acts or what he said,

we have to look what policy,

what are they
forming for this nation,

and what we're seeing
is it's becoming more anti

and anti-God here in the
United States of America.

remember seeing in your book

about how a lot of people think

that America is
a Christian nation

and was a Christian nation.

What do you have
to say about that?

Well, I did some homework on it.

When you study back...

And as you said, people say,

were a Christian nation.

structure of the Constitution

designed around God's moral law

are you going to look

for something that
if you want to live

in peace and tranquility,

we've gone so far from that.

that want to conform
religion to their lifestyle

as opposed to conforming
their lifestyle to religion.

So they're not
embracing the principles of God,

but they're going
with their feelings

and what's popular.

yellow, whatever color,

it would make any difference.

Right is right
and wrong is wrong."

And so to me, it has
nothing to do with racism,

If I want to be homosexual

I have the freedom
of speech to do it,

and no one should

Then I'll say, you're right,

doesn't harm anybody,
