00:01 Stay tuned to meet a millennial business entrepreneur,
00:03 who's using his talents to glorify God.
00:05 My name is Jason Bradley,
00:07 and you're watching Urban Report.
00:34 Hello, and welcome to Urban Report.
00:36 My guest today is Vuong Doan,
00:38 and he is determined to spread the gospel
00:40 in a very unique way.
00:41 Welcome to Urban Report Vuong.
00:43 Hey, Jason, good to be here.
00:45 Yes, man.
00:46 So there's so much stuff
00:48 that we want to get into in this particular program,
00:50 but let's take a look at your background.
00:52 Sure.
00:53 Where did you grow up?
00:55 And were you always Adventist?
00:58 No, I grew...
01:00 I was born in Vietnam, South Vietnam.
01:03 So I grew up there, and I came to America in 1994.
01:07 So I've been here for a while
01:09 and I pretty much came with my family and everything.
01:12 So I kinda I think I'm more Americanized now.
01:14 Okay.
01:15 Then, you know, like,
01:17 but I can still speak Vietnamese
01:18 and stuff like that.
01:19 Wow.
01:21 Just it takes me a while to write and stuff,
01:22 but born there, I grew up in Southern California.
01:26 Okay. That's where my heart is.
01:28 That's why I love California.
01:30 Yeah.
01:31 And currently, I am in Houston,
01:33 so that's why I'm saying I love California.
01:35 Okay.
01:37 Family they...
01:39 We grew up as...
01:41 The whole family is of...
01:42 Our religion is Buddhism.
01:43 Okay. Yeah.
01:45 Okay.
01:46 And but you're an Adventist now?
01:48 I'm Adventist now, praise God.
01:49 So we need to get into how all that came about
01:53 and the dynamic in the family like
01:56 what is it like being Adventist in a family
01:59 whose primarily Buddhist.
02:01 Oh, totally.
02:03 That's, you know, it wasn't easy obviously,
02:07 but for me, after high school,
02:13 I guess you get to the age
02:14 where you kinda feel like you know everything,
02:16 you know, you're on your own.
02:18 You getting to college and stuff and...
02:20 At the same time,
02:21 it's when you question life I guess,
02:24 you know, where did I come from,
02:26 where am I going,
02:27 and what's the meaning of life and stuff.
02:29 And I've always liked Prophecies.
02:32 Okay.
02:34 Yeah, and so there was a documentary
02:38 with Nostradamus,
02:40 where he predicted this king will fall
02:42 or this event will happen,
02:43 and I was blown, I was fascinated.
02:46 These things he said it
02:47 and it happens like years later.
02:49 But the thing is those, my friend told me,
02:53 well, he is only 80% correct,
02:56 there's something that's 100% correct,
02:58 and it's Prophecy,
02:59 and I was curious about it, too.
03:01 Mm-hm. Yeah.
03:03 And, you know, if it's only 80% then it's not correct.
03:05 That's like okay,
03:06 like how the devil likes to do it, right?
03:09 He might throw 99% truth
03:12 but he'll put that 1% lie in there
03:16 and that makes it a little it's just not truth.
03:18 Hoping to get back.
03:19 Yeah, it's like would you drink...
03:22 I've heard this before,
03:24 would you take a glass of juice
03:26 that is 99% pure and, say, 1% poisonous.
03:32 Oh, no. Absolutely not.
03:33 Totally not, no. Absolutely not.
03:35 Yeah, so at that time, I questioned...
03:40 Actually, I studied,
03:41 tried to study every religion that's out there, you know.
03:45 Buddhism have fascinating story,
03:47 I liked the story and the philosophy
03:50 but certain thing didn't make sense,
03:51 certain thing didn't get answered.
03:53 So I looked into Islam stuff, I looked into Judaism, Hindu,
03:59 and Taoism, and even Christianity
04:02 and study a little bit each of the histories.
04:06 They all have fascinating stories
04:08 and everything.
04:09 Mm-hm.
04:11 And even in Christendom, each one...
04:13 That's where I was confused 'cause there's Catholic,
04:15 there's all these other Christians,
04:17 and then luckily my best friend,
04:21 he was an Adventist.
04:23 I was like "Who?
04:24 What? What?
04:25 Are you even a Christian?
04:27 What is Adventist, you know?"
04:28 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
04:30 But he said no, no, no, Adventist Christian.
04:32 I said okay.
04:33 So they're different compared to all the Christians
04:37 I have met and stuff like that.
04:39 I noticed, you know, he said,
04:41 "Hey, come to church, check it out."
04:43 Luckily, he's my best friend,
04:46 the church is like down the street,
04:48 and, you know, we were both learning,
04:51 you know, and those were I believe,
04:53 You know, God just put those things together.
04:55 Absolutely, that's definitely divined providence,
04:57 and it sounds like you were hungry,
04:59 you were searching for answers
05:00 because you were brought up Buddhist,
05:03 but you weren't finding the answers that you need.
05:05 It didn't satisfy,
05:07 like the monks I've have spoken to,
05:09 they kinda did gave me a vague answer.
05:12 In fact, like everybody gave me a different answer like,
05:15 "Okay, you know, what happens when you die?
05:17 Or where did human came from?
05:19 And how does reincarnation work?"
05:21 Like they have concepts
05:23 but I didn't hear like about peace,
05:28 I didn't hear about love more,
05:29 I've heard about just how to live life
05:33 and try to do your best,
05:35 and like, you know, you are on your own basically,
05:37 that's what I felt like.
05:38 Whereas in the Christianity world,
05:42 you're on your own
05:43 but there's someone always that has your back
05:47 'cause sometimes
05:48 you can't just do everything on your own, right?
05:50 Absolutely not.
05:53 Yeah, we definitely need the power of Christ.
05:55 Exactly.
05:56 Working in us, on us, and through us.
05:58 Yeah, so he brought me to Church,
06:01 and the dashboard on his car was Amazing Facts study guide.
06:08 And the topic was about the Second Coming of Christ
06:15 and that one has the prophecy, the red moon's gonna happen,
06:18 or it happened already, right?
06:21 There's a prophecy where the stars
06:23 were so bright in the night
06:24 where you could read the newspaper,
06:26 the stars were falling,
06:27 just several things that came together
06:30 in the past 100%.
06:34 From Amazing Facts.
06:35 From Amazing Facts Bible study guide.
06:37 But that was lesson seven, so I was like there's more?
06:40 Yeah, yeah.
06:41 Yeah, so long story short,
06:44 I studied that on my own really fast,
06:48 even my best friend was like,
06:49 "Hey, you need to slow down.
06:50 These doctrines, these topics,
06:53 you know, they're heavy topics,"
06:55 but I was eating it up.
06:57 I understood it,
06:58 there's nothing I was confused about it
06:59 like I went through a few...
07:01 Within a few weeks
07:03 even the advanced Amazing Facts Bible study guides.
07:06 And I learnt a lot, I learnt a lot more from those than,
07:11 you know, few people because it was fascinating.
07:14 Yeah, and you were hungry,
07:16 you knew that there was something more
07:17 that you needed, something that you're missing,
07:19 and that was Christ.
07:20 Exactly. That was Christ.
07:22 Now I have been extremely impressed
07:25 with the ministry in business that God has blessed you with.
07:31 Tell us a little bit about that.
07:34 You have several things going on, Vuong, I always...
07:37 I always tease you when I see you
07:39 about all the different things you have going on,
07:42 but tell us, it's really inspiring.
07:43 Tell us about
07:45 some of the shirts and the websites.
07:47 Tell us about that. Yeah, totally.
07:49 So I guess I started when...
07:52 How I started and basically, I think,
07:59 I always wanted to be an entrepreneur,
08:00 like I always wanted to work on my own,
08:02 be on my own, 'cause I did several office jobs,
08:06 I worked for companies,
08:07 and I did like things but a lot of times,
08:09 it's just routine and I like changes,
08:12 I like to do different task and everything.
08:15 I can't be in the office all day,
08:17 and so from that like I started to learn
08:22 about how to print t-shirts.
08:26 Wait, let me go back.
08:28 Okay.
08:29 Before I was baptized in high school,
08:34 I was with like a dancing screw so we did, you know,
08:37 dancing and stuff like that, and we needed t-shirts.
08:40 Okay. Yeah. There you go.
08:42 Okay.
08:44 And then we need it quick, too, so just we,
08:47 we kinda sprayed paint in different things
08:49 but that's not how you do shirts.
08:51 But I like creativity, I like art too,
08:55 so that just makes sense to me like drawing and graphic stuff.
09:00 Okay.
09:01 And then put that into a business
09:03 and, you know, you get printed t-shirts.
09:04 So from that concept basically,
09:08 I started my own
09:12 t-shirt custom printing, you know, company.
09:15 Which is called what?
09:17 Well, the first one is called the Shirt Dudes,
09:21 it's another one I worked on,
09:22 and then eventually leads to SDA Shirts right now
09:25 where I am doing also.
09:26 I'm still running both
09:28 and then I'm starting new clothing line, too.
09:30 Wow.
09:31 And I'm just...
09:32 I like shirts.
09:34 I see.
09:35 I have a lot of shirts at home.
09:37 Yeah. I would've imagined so.
09:38 My closet is like, you know, when you go somewhere
09:41 and they giveaway shirts, I say,
09:42 "Well, I have in home, there's a lot."
09:44 Yes, yes, yes.
09:46 So you basically took what you were passionate about
09:48 and you combined both interest,
09:51 your passion with art and creativity and God.
09:53 Art, creativity,
09:55 and then SDA Shirts was born
09:57 because God came into the picture.
10:00 Hmm, nice.
10:01 Before, I was doing custom shirts
10:03 for churches and businesses and schools,
10:06 I started out in my garage.
10:07 Uh-huh.
10:09 Nobody needs to know.
10:10 On the website, it looks like you're a big company
10:11 but down to my garage,
10:13 but praise God, you know, I am in a real shop now.
10:16 Yes, I'm in it and there's a lot of huge companies
10:18 that started it in somebody's garage.
10:20 You gotta start somewhere.
10:22 Yeah, a lot of, you know, the big CEOs are,
10:26 you know, famous people
10:27 that we know started out in garage.
10:29 And so overtime, I just wanted to do shirts,
10:34 and I pretty much quit the corporate world.
10:41 There was a point where I was thinking
10:43 the more I worked for this company,
10:45 I'm making the company grow,
10:47 I'm making the company expand.
10:51 What am I doing for God's kingdom?
10:53 Hmm, yes.
10:54 You know like it's...
10:55 I am doing the best for the company,
10:57 like I'm making this company like spread out
10:59 and everybody gets to know
11:01 about their products and services, right?
11:02 But what about God's product and services?
11:04 Amen.
11:05 Right back.
11:07 Yeah, you want to build the kingdom.
11:08 You saw the bigger picture.
11:09 Yeah, and so that's when I said,
11:12 "You know I want to do something bigger,"
11:14 and so I combined
11:18 what I've always been doing and noticed that,
11:20 you know, I can put messages on t-shirts
11:23 not just like regular verses,
11:24 that's cool, but are especially Adventist message.
11:28 Yes, absolutely. It makes a difference.
11:30 Now we not only have some of your shirts here
11:34 but we have some pictures that we want to take a look at,
11:37 and as we look at these pictures,
11:38 just give us, tell us briefly what each shirt
11:40 'cause there're some that has some writing
11:42 that I don't understand.
11:44 That's fine. Yeah.
11:45 So this one is one of my newest design,
11:47 it's Called To Serve,
11:49 which is our calling pretty much
11:51 we're called to serve worldwide.
11:53 And this is a big hit with missionaries
11:56 and those who want to do community service,
11:58 they love this shirt.
11:59 And it comes in variety of colors
12:01 and it's a popular one.
12:02 This one is obviously for especially
12:04 the Adventist Christians.
12:06 We celebrate the Lord Sabbath,
12:09 which is Saturday, the Seventh day,
12:11 and that hasn't changed and when we celebrate it,
12:15 we're happy, so...
12:16 Since Genesis 2:2, I bought that shirt
12:18 but that was the first shirt that I bought from you.
12:20 Awesome. Yeah, Since Genesis 2:2.
12:22 And this...
12:24 This is... I need a translator for this.
12:25 You can read this. I can't get that one.
12:28 So the intension of this shirt
12:30 is people are curious like what does that mean.
12:33 Yes.
12:34 And when they look closely,
12:36 I said, "Well, it's actually John 3:16."
12:38 Do you know what that verse says?
12:40 Hmm, yeah.
12:41 That's a conversation's thought.
12:43 So this is available in Korean, in Chinese, and in Japanese.
12:47 There you go, that's the Korean one.
12:48 Nice.
12:49 Yeah, so that one, people are curious,
12:51 "Oh, that's cool, that's charactered,"
12:53 but like, you know,
12:54 there's elements of Jesus in there, too,
12:56 you know, the Thorn and the Nails.
12:58 Then they see the verse and go research it in the Bible.
13:00 Yeah, exactly. Smart.
13:01 I like it. It's a conversation's thought.
13:02 And this one, well, 'cause I am mainly vegetarian,
13:06 part-time vegan and, you know, we've power by tofu.
13:11 It looks like a strong block of tofu.
13:13 And Adventist, we're known to be the third healthiest,
13:18 longest, living people
13:19 according to National Geographic
13:21 that, you know, we live longer 'cause of our health.
13:24 And the last one is the timeline
13:27 of the 2,300 days Prophecy.
13:30 When you study Daniel,
13:31 it's a whole expansion of different things
13:33 and that went on the t-shirt, the whole thing.
13:36 Nice, nice.
13:38 And this one is my best seller and everyone loves it
13:41 'cause it's a Prophecy of Daniel,
13:43 it's what I started with, it's why I love Prophecy.
13:46 And it's what you have on today.
13:48 Yes, exactly.
13:50 Yeah. True.
13:51 And there was, what is this one?
13:55 Oh, yes, the sanctuary,
13:57 you know, the whole sanctuary message
14:00 on a t-shirt like who thought of that.
14:01 Well...
14:03 So checking all the reductions that we all know,
14:08 we've read about it, we hear about it,
14:11 and now you get to see it visually.
14:13 Yes. On a picture.
14:15 Yes, and it creates that conversation.
14:17 And this one is my newest one.
14:20 It's just a simple message
14:21 "Saturday is still God's Sabbath."
14:22 Okay.
14:24 Since Genesis 2:2,
14:26 established then hasn't changed,
14:28 and it still be kept in heaven,
14:30 there is nowhere in the Bible that says "We've changed,
14:33 God's changed the Sabbath from Saturday to another day."
14:36 Absolutely. Yeah, still Sabbath.
14:37 Absolutely, now, we recognize that both those faces,
14:41 but we recognized who you're with.
14:43 Tell us about that. Doug Batchelor.
14:44 Yes, I finally get to met him,
14:47 and I gave him one of the shirts
14:48 and told him why I have learnt so much from him.
14:51 Mm-hm. Amazing Facts Ministry.
14:53 Mm-hm.
14:54 And so it was just as fascinating and to,
14:56 I was able to give and share with him the testimony
14:59 and somehow he made an influence in my life.
15:03 Wonderful, wonderful.
15:05 Now we also have this right here,
15:09 which is a license plate cover,
15:11 and it says, "The Seventh Day Is Still God's Sabbath."
15:16 Now, I have this on my car right now
15:18 and I can tell you
15:20 that it actually started some conversations like...
15:23 Awesome.
15:24 I've I had some conversation with people on so
15:26 what's the Seventh day?
15:28 And...
15:29 You know, where do you find that?
15:31 So this has come in handy for a ministry too.
15:36 Yeah, I made that
15:38 because you think about you're in traffic...
15:41 Thousands of people,
15:42 they're watching, they're reading,
15:44 and why not, plant a seed in their mind,
15:46 you know, make them curious.
15:48 Absolutely, so let me ask you this question.
15:51 Is it just you doing the shirt?
15:54 I mean is it just you running SDA Shirts and Adventist Hub,
15:59 and we didn't even get into Adventist Hub yet,
16:01 but we're gonna talk about that.
16:03 But is it just you?
16:04 I'm a business card that says manager.
16:07 Okay.
16:08 'Cause the owner is God.
16:09 Amen, Amen.
16:11 So yeah, at the moment, it's just me,
16:14 I've always just tried to keep my hands in everything...
16:18 And make sure I have control of things,
16:20 but I guess I eventually need help in that,
16:24 thanks to my mom and dad,
16:25 sometime, they come on and help.
16:26 Oh, nice, nice.
16:28 Now, are you a member of ASI?
16:30 Yes, I am.
16:31 You are? Yes, ASI member.
16:33 Okay, wonderful.
16:34 And tell us about Adventist Hub.
16:36 What is Adventist Hub?
16:38 Adventist Hub, I'm excited.
16:41 Pretty sure it's all things Adventists in one place,
16:45 all things SDA like.
16:47 Over there, you could find the latest news.
16:48 Mm-hm.
16:49 There are latest events coming up,
16:51 different ministries,
16:53 all kind of good Christian music
16:56 that are from Adventists singers,
16:59 just a research website,
17:00 like a Yellow Pages for Adventists.
17:01 Okay.
17:03 I've been working on the site,
17:04 just here and there when I'm able to,
17:06 but I always wanted to have a resource, directory,
17:10 to connect everything in one place,
17:13 and so that would've helped me at the early times
17:16 when I have just became Adventist,
17:18 that was how I could've used them back then.
17:20 Absolutely, it's like a one-stab sharp.
17:23 You've 3ABN, you've Dare to Dream on there,
17:26 you have LLBN and HOPE channel, you have all those channels,
17:29 everything on there.
17:30 You can watch TV.
17:31 Score and everything.
17:33 You can watch this TV on that website.
17:34 Wow.
17:35 In fact, I'm also putting live stream on Saturdays,
17:37 where you can watch the Church on the website, too.
17:41 Nice, nice, nice.
17:43 And so what's next for you?
17:46 I mean wherever God leads.
17:48 Mm-hm.
17:49 You know, I'm doing this by faith.
17:52 It's...
17:53 I can't do this without Him. Let's put it that way, right?
17:55 Absolutely.
17:56 Philippians says, you know,
17:58 "I can do all things through Christ
17:59 who strengthens me," and He is what strengthens me,
18:02 like to run several businesses at one time.
18:04 Mm-hm.
18:05 And I give glory to him in everything.
18:09 So what's next for?
18:11 As the shirts is I hope it could spread out,
18:14 everybody could see it
18:15 and learn about the Sabbath truth.
18:17 And eventually, one day,
18:18 I want to meet everyone in heaven
18:21 that has been influenced by these t-shirts
18:23 and somehow connected to a faith.
18:25 And I guess that's where it goes
18:27 and pretty much, it's how,
18:32 I got to keep going kind of hustle.
18:33 Yeah. Absolutely, absolutely.
18:36 Now, how do people get in touch with you?
18:38 Now, it they want a custom shirt,
18:40 how can they get in touch with you?
18:42 Well, it's a very cool website,
18:44 there is a website called SDAshirst.com, right there.
18:48 And so, of course, right there,
18:51 that's where you find these cool shirts,
18:52 but also I'm working, you know,
18:55 I can do custom t-shirts on the side,
18:57 been able to print with several ministries
18:58 in the past, and churches, and stuff like that.
19:01 So yeah, just go there,
19:02 fill out the form, and get a call.
19:05 Nice. Nice.
19:06 And what advice would you have for the young person out there
19:10 that is watching this program and is inspired
19:14 and wants to start something in ministry?
19:19 Well, see, everything you do is a ministry,
19:23 and how you connect it together,
19:25 then it become the part of your ministry,
19:27 and who you invest time and people with.
19:29 If you are someone who has the entrepreneurial spirit,
19:34 go for it, go find something you're really passionate about,
19:37 your talents.
19:38 God has given us talents,
19:40 and He wants us to maximize and use it.
19:41 And only recent few years
19:44 that I got there like, I decided,
19:46 'cause I want to do everything, but God says,
19:48 "You know, you're a graphic guy,
19:50 I gave you talents for graphics,"
19:52 and so I'm using the most of that.
19:54 For young person, pursue it, learn from it,
19:57 you can learn so much now a days,
19:59 and it's all free as long as you put the time into it,
20:02 you got to grain you want to wake up
20:04 and just keep going at it.
20:07 I would say that the way how internet works right now...
20:13 Mm-hm.
20:14 That's somewhere you want to be involved with.
20:16 Really, so now is the time.
20:17 Yeah, because I don't really have a storefront.
20:20 I don't really want that, I really...
20:22 E-commerce is the way to go in my opinion.
20:24 Mm-hm. You know I'm just saying.
20:26 Online stores is a nicer platform
20:27 to do the most
20:28 with the littlest time that you have,
20:30 that's why I'm able to have a lot of things going on,
20:33 but I don't have a lot of employees,
20:34 sort of whatever.
20:36 Yes.
20:37 So without giving us trade secrets,
20:40 if you will,
20:42 give us a little bit of insight into the process,
20:45 like what goes in,
20:46 and give us a little bit of the behind the scenes.
20:49 Behind the scenes. Yeah.
20:50 Well, I wake up in my pajamas
20:54 and sometime I come to work to noon.
20:57 But I'm working from home,
20:59 that's the beauty of e-commerce and online
21:02 'cause I worked everything on my laptop.
21:04 I would say 70% of my time are laptop time
21:06 really production,
21:08 I dedicate day to do,
21:10 everything as much as I can and want...
21:11 Mm-hm.
21:13 And just marketing, just you know.
21:17 What percentage do you think is,
21:18 would you say is, marketing?
21:20 At the moment, I could improve in that,
21:24 but I believe I need to improve a lot
21:26 like maybe 60% of our time should be marketing,
21:29 that's what I learnt in business school,
21:31 so that should be something.
21:32 Wow, 60 to 70%.
21:34 Yeah. Okay.
21:35 Yeah, it's crazy but that's where I need to be,
21:39 so that you get out there.
21:41 Wonderful, and what stories do you have for us
21:43 where you've sold somebody a shirt
21:45 or someone's seen your shirt and has come up to you
21:48 and wanted to talk and find out more about Christ?
21:52 Cool, there is tons of testimonies I get,
21:55 people with their words very simple.
21:58 In fact, before SDA Shirts, I ran another,
22:02 you know, t-shirt company
22:04 that has nothing to do with Christian,
22:06 but they are funny, they're good humor.
22:07 And each one I give a glow track,
22:09 I don't know if you know that.
22:10 Yeah, it's a portable glow track...
22:12 Okay.
22:13 Given to strangers, and they contacted me,
22:16 they're like blessed by it, and stuff like that.
22:18 And that's where I want to encourage people,
22:19 whatever work, line of work you're doing,
22:22 how can you emphasize a ministry path to your work.
22:24 Mm-hm.
22:26 So these were strangers
22:27 who bought a funny shirt in Australia,
22:29 in France, in different countries...
22:31 Mm-hm.
22:32 And I give a glow track
22:33 shipping it all the way over there
22:35 with their t-shirt.
22:36 And that was tasteful humor. Yeah.
22:37 It was a...
22:39 Oh, yeah. No. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
22:40 No, no. Okay.
22:42 I just wanted to clarify that for our viewers so they know,
22:44 so it was tasteful humor
22:45 and you provided them with a glow track
22:47 and that gave them information that they needed.
22:50 Yeah.
22:51 And for SDA Shirts, when that started,
22:55 there's just people who are not Christian,
22:58 they saw the shirt, they're like, "Hey, brother,
23:00 I'm studying about Daniel
23:02 and I'm kinda confused about the last part, you know."
23:04 And conversation started, leads to a Bible study,
23:08 leads to maybe a Baptism,
23:10 and leads to other people engaging them.
23:12 So just one t-shirt read and a...
23:19 A seed is planted. A seed is planted.
23:21 There you go. In their mind.
23:22 Yeah. Uh-huh.
23:24 Wonderful, now what do your friends think,
23:26 like and I know your friends had to see you
23:28 constantly working?
23:30 I remember going to GYC Southwest,
23:34 and I did see on your laptop,
23:36 just plug-in away, just plug-in away
23:38 on your laptop.
23:39 What are your friends think when they see you busy?
23:42 Are they inspired,
23:43 are they motivated to get up and do something?
23:45 I hope to be inspirational,
23:48 I mean, I'm just doing what I do,
23:50 the thing that's always, I got to hustle, you know like.
23:53 Yeah.
23:54 Got to hustle, got a grain, and I work hard
23:57 because I didn't come to,
23:59 my family, we didn't come here rich,
24:01 we came poor, my dad worked two jobs,
24:04 and even throughout the nights.
24:05 And like I feel in life now
24:08 where it's my turn to give back.
24:11 Yes. You know what I'm saying?
24:12 Yeah.
24:13 He sacrificed a lot
24:15 and pretty much like gave a lot of time off
24:20 so that I could have a better life.
24:21 Yeah.
24:22 And in fact, he'd never went to watch a movie
24:25 or do some fun activity
24:26 'cause he's always working.
24:28 Wow.
24:29 Yeah, so that's something that I want to give back
24:34 for the time he had dedicated, you know.
24:36 So yes, you can see me working on my laptop
24:39 because I got to keep going,
24:41 you know, as long as I have energy,
24:43 as long as I'm still focused on the mission,
24:48 I got to spread it out
24:49 and keep going, keep working hard.
24:51 Absolutely.
24:52 Work hard but, you know, stay humble.
24:53 Absolutely, and it's always interesting
24:56 to hear the story behind
24:59 how a ministry or a company got started,
25:03 because often times,
25:04 you just see the finished product.
25:05 You've no idea where it came from,
25:07 what went into creating it, what's the story behind it.
25:12 So that's always exciting,
25:14 and I really love the fact
25:16 that you're allowing God to use you
25:18 and to spread the Gospel via the shirts, you know,
25:23 it creates so much conversation.
25:26 One thing I didn't add
25:27 or did I add, I don't know but...
25:31 Just by the shirts alone like they last very long.
25:37 Mm-hm.
25:38 So a lot of you get to see it in the conversations' thought.
25:41 Let me see one of those, you have, yes,
25:43 this is the shirt that you have on.
25:46 Yeah, if you like this one, too.
25:48 Yeah, that's nice.
25:50 I need to get, I have to get Tiffany some more shirts.
25:54 Oh, yeah, definitely.
25:55 It feels like a great quality.
25:57 Yeah, I have choose, you can see here,
26:01 I choose like a softer fabric,
26:03 it's not heavy kind or anything so that,
26:06 it's just softer, nicer feeling,
26:07 it's something I like to wear.
26:08 Right, so...
26:10 Uh-huh.
26:11 Instead of just wearing the regular stuff,
26:13 I like the softer and comfortable shirts,
26:15 those high-quality stuff.
26:16 Now, what about shrinkage?
26:18 Like when you wash it, does it shrink?
26:20 Or I mean what is the...
26:21 1.89%, does that matter?
26:24 No, not in this case.
26:27 Shrink a little bit, but not so much.
26:29 Wow, okay.
26:30 Yeah, so it's just, what I'm doing right now,
26:33 this is the chapter
26:35 that God has let in my life so far.
26:37 Praise Lord, and you took some time off work,
26:40 like when you were working, you took how many months off?
26:43 I took three months off,
26:47 pretty much out of work in the last three months
26:49 to research and redefine the company,
26:53 redefine the business.
26:54 And it paid off, meaning not money wise,
27:01 it paid off in terms of how I conduct the business,
27:03 things are better quality,
27:05 things are, the philosophy is different.
27:07 Mm-hm. And that's been really awesome.
27:09 Sometimes you got to do that with any industry.
27:11 Absolutely.
27:13 so what did people say like
27:14 when you were taking off three to four months?
27:17 They're like, "You are crazy,
27:18 you're like, you know, how you're gonna get work?
27:19 Are you paying the bills?"
27:21 Or like, you know, and stuff like that.
27:25 Yeah, sometimes, I was like,
27:27 "Wow, I should really get back to work."
27:29 But sometime research and development
27:32 in any business,
27:33 you got to step back and check out
27:37 and how to make it more efficient,
27:38 I learned so much about my industry
27:40 that I didn't know before.
27:41 Yeah.
27:42 'Cause I was just over busy
27:44 and couldn't have time to dedicate.
27:45 So that's why I shut of everything.
27:46 Absolutely, I can definitely understand that.
27:48 Well, thank you so much for being with us,
27:50 and thank you for joining us.
27:52 Well, we have reached the end of another program.
27:54 Join us next time and remember,
27:56 it just wouldn't be the same without you.
