I'm so glad you're here, you know. 00:00:45.31\00:00:46.91 I met you at ASI and you had a number of herbal remedies there 00:00:46.98\00:00:52.55 and you so graciously let me try the Ginseng for energy 00:00:52.58\00:00:57.25 because I was tired and all that 00:00:57.29\00:00:59.19 so I took it and I took it home with me 00:00:59.22\00:01:02.42 and I took some more and I'm... it really helps... 00:01:02.46\00:01:06.06 Didn't keep you awake did it? 00:01:06.09\00:01:07.50 No, no... it really didn't... at night... no... 00:01:07.56\00:01:10.67 I really needed some... a little boost... 00:01:10.70\00:01:13.03 That's great... we all do. 00:01:13.10\00:01:15.07 I love herbs... 00:01:15.10\00:01:17.77 I've loved them from the time I was introduced to them 00:01:17.81\00:01:21.14 back in the... maybe '70s or '80s 00:01:21.21\00:01:23.51 how did you get involved with herbs? 00:01:23.55\00:01:26.28 Well, years ago when I was growing up, 00:01:26.31\00:01:28.98 my mother was a Herbalist... when I was in my teenage years 00:01:29.02\00:01:32.42 and when I was 14... my grandfather passed away 00:01:32.45\00:01:35.59 and it left a big hole in our family... 00:01:35.62\00:01:38.79 my mother was very close to my grandfather 00:01:38.83\00:01:41.93 and she started getting an interest at that time 00:01:41.96\00:01:45.37 into natural remedies... 00:01:45.40\00:01:46.74 because she saw so much suffering he went through 00:01:46.77\00:01:48.64 and she thought, "There's got to be an answer... 00:01:48.67\00:01:50.64 there's got to be some natural solutions" 00:01:50.67\00:01:53.07 so she used to bring home all these different concoctions 00:01:53.11\00:01:56.54 and decoctions... I was the guinea pig... 00:01:56.61\00:01:59.95 and so... she used to get me to take these things, 00:01:59.98\00:02:03.85 I'd have to hold my nose and swallow them 00:02:03.89\00:02:07.59 so that was my first introduction 00:02:07.66\00:02:09.82 but I really didn't have much of an interest, 00:02:09.86\00:02:12.96 I knew that deep down 00:02:12.99\00:02:14.76 that they're probably doing me some good 00:02:14.80\00:02:16.46 but as far as doing that for my career, future, 00:02:16.50\00:02:21.44 there was no interest in that but as years went by, 00:02:21.47\00:02:24.61 I did get an interest in health 00:02:24.64\00:02:27.01 and that developed to the point where I could start teaching 00:02:27.04\00:02:33.15 I taught at Wildwood Lifestyle Center and Hospital, 00:02:33.18\00:02:35.25 I taught Plant Physiology and then Nutrition 00:02:35.28\00:02:38.65 and then my wife and I... 00:02:38.69\00:02:40.79 we traveled to an island in the Philippines 00:02:40.82\00:02:44.53 and it was just a mission trip that we were over there 00:02:44.56\00:02:48.26 to teach natural remedies 00:02:48.30\00:02:49.70 and my wife got very ill with a serious case of insomnia, 00:02:49.73\00:02:54.84 she couldn't sleep past midnight every night 00:02:54.87\00:02:57.51 and this went on day after day, week after week, 00:02:57.54\00:03:00.11 month after month... it went on for five and half years. 00:03:00.14\00:03:02.58 She would wake up... 00:03:02.61\00:03:03.95 She would wake up at 12 o'clock, could not get back to sleep 00:03:03.98\00:03:07.42 and so, we had tried many different things... 00:03:07.48\00:03:11.65 we had a pretty good lifestyle already 00:03:11.69\00:03:14.62 and we really didn't understand what was going on, 00:03:14.66\00:03:19.23 the doctors didn't know what was going on 00:03:19.26\00:03:21.03 and it wasn't until we were working at Wildwood, 00:03:21.06\00:03:26.43 when my wife was actually... 00:03:26.47\00:03:28.07 even though she was very serious with this condition, 00:03:28.10\00:03:31.07 she was still trying to help people with their health 00:03:31.11\00:03:34.01 and she came across a herb she thought, 00:03:34.04\00:03:36.95 "Maybe I should try this... " 00:03:36.98\00:03:38.31 and within three days of taking it... 00:03:38.35\00:03:41.38 she was back to eight hours sleep at night 00:03:41.42\00:03:43.69 and has not regressed since. 00:03:43.72\00:03:45.75 And what herb was that? 00:03:45.79\00:03:47.12 It's called Oat Straw or Avena Sativa 00:03:47.16\00:03:53.09 and the reason it helped with that particular case 00:03:53.13\00:03:57.70 was because she was so exhausted 00:03:57.73\00:03:59.53 and it really helps with sleep situations 00:03:59.57\00:04:04.57 where there's prolonged exhaustion 00:04:04.61\00:04:06.94 you know when we get so tired sometimes, we can't sleep... 00:04:06.98\00:04:09.08 Yvonne: Yes... 00:04:09.14\00:04:10.48 Lee: It's ironic that that would be the case, 00:04:10.51\00:04:12.55 but it's because our nerves are so exhausted, 00:04:12.58\00:04:14.82 it's been depleted with electrolytes 00:04:14.85\00:04:17.15 and so the Oat Straw was a nerve feeder... 00:04:17.19\00:04:19.39 it fed the electrolytes and if the nerve can relax 00:04:19.45\00:04:22.32 then you can relax so... 00:04:22.36\00:04:24.16 Did she have adrenal fatigue? 00:04:24.19\00:04:25.96 I think so... yes... and so... that also helps 00:04:25.99\00:04:29.63 with the adrenals as well. 00:04:29.66\00:04:31.00 Wow! and so after she took that... 00:04:31.03\00:04:33.94 and did she have to like... kind of play with the dosage 00:04:33.97\00:04:38.87 to know how much to take or... 00:04:38.91\00:04:40.84 Yes, my wife... she's someone that 00:04:40.88\00:04:43.68 if she thinks it's a good idea, 00:04:43.71\00:04:46.45 she'll probably take more than she needs to 00:04:46.48\00:04:49.12 and so she... she took a whole quart 00:04:49.15\00:04:52.05 with a cup of the herb 00:04:52.09\00:04:54.59 and just made it into a tea and she started drinking this 00:04:54.62\00:04:57.46 and it's a very safe herb to use 00:04:57.53\00:05:00.86 in fact it doesn't contradict... from what we understand 00:05:00.90\00:05:04.87 up to this point with any medications... 00:05:04.90\00:05:06.63 so it was very safe to take... and so... yeah... 00:05:06.67\00:05:09.67 within 3 days she was back to eight hours sleep 00:05:09.70\00:05:12.67 and we were... as you can imagine 00:05:12.71\00:05:15.61 very excited... if you've been sleep deprived for so long 00:05:15.64\00:05:19.35 and then you find a remedy, 00:05:19.38\00:05:20.72 you just want to tell the whole world. 00:05:20.75\00:05:22.08 And one that's safe. 00:05:22.12\00:05:24.89 And one that's safe... that's right. 00:05:24.92\00:05:26.79 Because as you know, there are side effects with sleep remedies 00:05:26.82\00:05:29.56 with sleep medication and so, 00:05:29.62\00:05:31.83 to find something that's safe... 00:05:31.86\00:05:33.73 it doesn't interact with anything... that's great. 00:05:33.76\00:05:36.46 Yes, yes, and I should add too 00:05:36.50\00:05:37.93 that she also tried other herbs that were standard herbs 00:05:38.00\00:05:40.94 but they weren't helping her in that particular case 00:05:40.97\00:05:44.14 which brings me to an important point 00:05:44.17\00:05:47.68 that we need to know what the condition is, 00:05:47.71\00:05:51.21 what is causing it to really be intelligent 00:05:51.25\00:05:54.75 in selecting the very best herbs 00:05:54.78\00:05:56.82 specific for that condition. 00:05:56.85\00:05:58.35 Absolutely, so you're saying... 00:05:58.39\00:05:59.99 you need to get to the root of the problem. 00:06:00.02\00:06:01.62 Lee: Root of the problem, exactly. 00:06:01.66\00:06:03.43 Yvonne: And how do you know what that is? 00:06:03.49\00:06:05.13 Lee: Well, I've been doing health consultations with people 00:06:05.16\00:06:09.70 over the last ten years and I found most of the time 00:06:09.73\00:06:13.57 people will tell you what it is. 00:06:13.60\00:06:16.20 Yvonne: Hmmm... 00:06:16.24\00:06:17.57 Lee: It's not always the case but usually they can pinpoint 00:06:17.61\00:06:20.71 to when it started to go haywire... 00:06:20.74\00:06:23.08 certain events, maybe, even certain decisions 00:06:23.11\00:06:25.81 that they made in their lives that caused that problem 00:06:25.85\00:06:28.48 but also a lifestyle analysis 00:06:28.55\00:06:31.35 where you can see if they're eating healthy... 00:06:31.39\00:06:34.66 or what their stress levels are, exercise and... 00:06:34.69\00:06:37.89 I try to explain to people that although herbs have a place, 00:06:37.93\00:06:42.86 they're not a substitute for poor lifestyle habits, 00:06:42.90\00:06:45.37 Yvonne: Hmmm... 00:06:45.43\00:06:47.00 Lee: So, if we have a good lifestyle, 00:06:47.04\00:06:48.50 the herbs will actually compliment that more 00:06:48.54\00:06:50.91 than someone who has a bad lifestyle... 00:06:50.94\00:06:53.24 and is just taking them for... to get rid of their headache 00:06:53.27\00:06:55.91 or a cold or something like that. 00:06:55.94\00:06:57.98 That's such a great point because 00:06:58.01\00:07:00.08 you don't want people to think, 00:07:00.12\00:07:02.15 "Well, I can just pop some herbs... " 00:07:02.18\00:07:04.09 just like a popping pill... 00:07:04.12\00:07:05.75 and that it's going to change things 00:07:05.79\00:07:08.06 because you want to get to the root cause of it 00:07:08.09\00:07:11.36 and the herbs can help with this... not just the symptoms 00:07:11.39\00:07:16.10 but help to alleviate the root cause of it, 00:07:16.13\00:07:19.93 so, you don't want to just abuse your body and then say, 00:07:19.97\00:07:23.51 "Oh, I can just take this herb and it's fine... " 00:07:23.54\00:07:25.44 no, if you're not getting enough sleep, 00:07:25.47\00:07:27.38 if you're not eating properly, if you're too stressed out, 00:07:27.41\00:07:30.55 those are the things that you have to address as well. 00:07:30.58\00:07:33.72 Lee: Right... right... well the Bible says that 00:07:33.75\00:07:35.35 the curse causeless shall not come... 00:07:35.38\00:07:37.62 then it also says, " the honour of God to conceal a matter: 00:07:37.65\00:07:40.39 it's the Glory of God, to search it out. " 00:07:40.42\00:07:42.62 Yvonne: Hmmm... 00:07:42.66\00:07:43.99 Lee: And so, this is something that God requires us 00:07:44.03\00:07:48.16 to look into and to study, 00:07:48.23\00:07:50.43 it says, "My people perish for lack of knowledge. " 00:07:50.47\00:07:52.13 Yvonne: Yes... 00:07:52.17\00:07:53.50 Lee: And it also reminds me of a text in 2nd Corinthians 00:07:53.54\00:07:59.04 actually I'd like to read it to you. 00:07:59.07\00:08:00.74 Yvonne: Yes, please. 00:08:00.78\00:08:02.11 Lee: 2nd Corinthians chapter 1 verse 6 00:08:02.14\00:08:05.65 and at the time when you are going through these experiences, 00:08:05.68\00:08:09.55 you wonder if it's ever going to end and you start to question 00:08:09.58\00:08:13.42 "Is God really answering my prayer?" 00:08:13.46\00:08:15.86 And it can really be a struggle of one's faith, 00:08:15.89\00:08:18.93 when you have prolonged illness, 00:08:18.96\00:08:20.40 and especially when you're doing everything in your power 00:08:20.43\00:08:22.80 to do that which is correct, but it says here, 00:08:22.83\00:08:26.90 "And whether we be afflicted, 00:08:26.94\00:08:28.47 it is for your consolation and salvation, 00:08:28.50\00:08:32.57 which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings 00:08:32.64\00:08:37.11 which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, 00:08:37.15\00:08:40.98 it is for your consolation and salvation. " 00:08:41.02\00:08:43.18 Yvonne: Hmmm... 00:08:43.22\00:08:44.55 Lee: And the reason I'm bringing this text out is 00:08:44.59\00:08:46.59 because at the time when we're going through this, 00:08:46.62\00:08:48.99 we didn't know that God had a plan to use this experience 00:08:49.02\00:08:52.73 and I don't believe that God loves suffering, 00:08:52.76\00:08:57.73 I believe He does everything he can do to relieve suffering, 00:08:57.77\00:09:02.00 but on going through this experience, 00:09:02.04\00:09:05.37 He was able to turn it for good. 00:09:05.41\00:09:07.04 Yvonne: Yes. 00:09:07.08\00:09:08.48 Lee: And now looking back, we can see 00:09:08.51\00:09:11.01 how He permitted these events to occur 00:09:11.05\00:09:13.45 that now, we can help other people with some of their issues 00:09:13.48\00:09:17.22 and that was not the only experience we had 00:09:17.25\00:09:19.89 because we also used herbs for hormones... 00:09:19.92\00:09:22.52 my wife had hormonal problems, that helped stabilize them, 00:09:22.56\00:09:26.19 the doctors said we wouldn't have children 00:09:26.23\00:09:28.93 and we tried for years to have children 00:09:28.96\00:09:31.63 and nothing was happening and then 00:09:31.67\00:09:34.77 we used a particular herb, 00:09:34.80\00:09:37.77 maybe I shouldn't share it with you, 00:09:37.81\00:09:39.97 Yvonne: We need to know... 00:09:40.01\00:09:42.08 Lee: I'm not saying that if you take it, 00:09:42.11\00:09:44.01 you'll get pregnant but I'm also saying, 00:09:44.05\00:09:45.91 "If you take it, you may... " 00:09:45.95\00:09:47.28 Well, and you know what... you're not... 00:09:47.32\00:09:49.85 this Program is not about us saying, 00:09:49.88\00:09:52.45 "Don't take your medicine... " 00:09:52.49\00:09:54.32 this is not about us saying, 00:09:54.36\00:09:56.12 "Stop your meds and just do herbs... Yvonne: I can tell... 00:18:44.69\00:18:46.15 I can tell... when I was talking to you at ASI 00:18:46.19\00:18:49.12 and I saw all of the remedies that you have 00:18:49.19\00:18:51.86 and people need to know how they can get those, by the way, 00:18:51.89\00:18:54.90 how can they get your natural remedies? 00:18:54.93\00:18:57.33 Yeah, we actually have a website... 00:18:57.37\00:18:59.70 it's www. herballiving. org 00:18:59.73\00:19:04.21 and that's... that gives a list of all our different products 00:19:04.24\00:19:09.38 but you won't find any information 00:19:09.41\00:19:13.62 as far as how they work because it's in regulations 00:19:13.65\00:19:16.65 so they'll just have a name on there 00:19:16.69\00:19:19.12 and the ingredients on there. Yvonne: Right... 00:19:19.15\00:19:22.32 Lee: But we also have another website called: 00:19:22.39\00:19:25.53 www. Lightingtheworld. org 00:19:25.56\00:19:29.33 and that is to give us information on training, 00:19:29.36\00:19:33.17 and so if you want to do a course on Natural Remedies 00:19:33.20\00:19:36.57 because there are so many courses out there 00:19:36.60\00:19:38.87 but the problem is that 00:19:38.91\00:19:41.21 the devil has taken a lot of what God has made 00:19:41.24\00:19:44.05 and he's put his own philosophy on that 00:19:44.08\00:19:47.88 so, there are very, very few herb courses 00:19:47.95\00:19:51.22 that actually have a Christian perspective. 00:19:51.25\00:19:54.06 Yvonne: Hmmm... 00:19:54.09\00:19:55.42 Lee: I mean God is the one that made the herbs, 00:19:55.46\00:19:58.36 it says in Psalm 104:14 that God gave us the herbs 00:19:58.39\00:20:01.43 for the... for the service of man... 00:20:01.46\00:20:03.60 so they're our servants 00:20:03.67\00:20:06.07 and that's another reason they represent Jesus. 00:20:06.13\00:20:09.34 Yvonne: Yes, yes... 00:20:09.40\00:20:10.91 so tell us about this Course that you have, what's in it? 00:20:10.94\00:20:14.64 Lee: Okay, well, we cover about a thousand different herbs, 00:20:14.68\00:20:18.98 what they're good for and how to make different formulas 00:20:19.01\00:20:23.08 and different things at home. 00:20:23.12\00:20:24.45 Yvonne: Ah... 00:20:24.49\00:20:25.82 Lee: So, if you want to learn how to make something 00:20:25.85\00:20:27.79 for your children, if they get a cold... 00:20:27.82\00:20:29.82 you want to boost their immune system 00:20:29.86\00:20:31.79 or maybe you want to make an extract or a certain tea 00:20:31.83\00:20:35.93 for energy or a cream, okay, so we go through 00:20:35.96\00:20:39.53 all the different systems and how we can apply 00:20:39.57\00:20:43.10 natural remedies to those and just simple conditions 00:20:43.14\00:20:46.31 that, maybe you don't need to pop a pill but 00:20:46.34\00:20:49.61 just educate yourself how to make something 00:20:49.64\00:20:52.91 and you may see that you don't need to 00:20:52.95\00:20:57.92 go on another trip to the doctor to get a prescription 00:20:57.95\00:21:03.66 and I should add too that some people think, 00:21:03.69\00:21:07.40 "Well, if you're into herbal remedies, 00:21:07.43\00:21:09.60 then you're... you're not really that much into Allopathic 00:21:09.63\00:21:15.94 or you're not into conventional medicine" 00:21:15.97\00:21:17.71 but I take the approach that there are good in both sides 00:21:17.74\00:21:21.34 and we need to be educated 00:21:21.38\00:21:22.94 and we need to stick within the parameters 00:21:22.98\00:21:25.98 of... they're not competition, it's just we... 00:21:26.01\00:21:28.98 we know... through study 00:21:29.02\00:21:31.89 and through our own personal effort, 00:21:31.92\00:21:33.32 that we'll get a better idea 00:21:33.36\00:21:34.72 as to what applies to what situation. 00:21:34.76\00:21:36.09 Yvonne: Right... 00:21:36.12\00:21:37.46 Lee: So they can co-exist in an intelligent mind-set. 00:21:37.49\00:21:41.33 Yvonne: Yeah, you don't need to feel also that if you're... 00:21:41.36\00:21:45.53 if you're going to a doctor that you're sinning 00:21:45.57\00:21:48.57 and if you're just doing natural remedies, 00:21:48.60\00:21:51.77 you have to pray about it and ask for guidance 00:21:51.81\00:21:54.81 but God has given us natural remedies 00:21:54.84\00:21:58.31 so if you check... and I'm saying all this because 00:21:58.35\00:22:03.25 you really have to be careful 00:22:03.28\00:22:05.35 because some people will just kind of... 00:22:05.39\00:22:07.26 just kind of abandon everything and go into just the natural... 00:22:07.29\00:22:12.26 and we don't want to encourage that, 00:22:12.29\00:22:14.60 but we want to encourage you to do your homework, 00:22:14.63\00:22:18.43 to investigate the natural remedies, 00:22:18.47\00:22:21.04 find out from your doctor if you... 00:22:21.07\00:22:23.37 let him know that you want to... 00:22:23.41\00:22:25.64 or her... let them know that you want to try X, Y or Z... 00:22:25.67\00:22:31.01 so they're aware of what you're doing 00:22:31.05\00:22:33.21 but try and look into it... educate yourself 00:22:33.25\00:22:37.09 because these natural remedies can really get to the cause, 00:22:37.12\00:22:40.82 the root cause of the issue and that's really... 00:22:40.86\00:22:44.76 it... Allopathic Medicine... it's great for acute situations 00:22:44.79\00:22:50.03 but chronic situations are more challenging. 00:22:50.07\00:22:52.90 Lee: That's correct. 00:22:52.93\00:22:54.27 Yvonne: Because the Pharmaceuticals 00:22:54.30\00:22:55.64 are not necessarily curative, 00:22:55.67\00:22:57.01 they are palliative... 00:22:57.04\00:22:59.27 they kind of help you to mitigate the symptoms, 00:22:59.31\00:23:02.38 but they're not necessarily reaching the cure... 00:23:02.41\00:23:05.48 I mean... the cause... 00:23:05.51\00:23:06.85 so, we don't want you again... and I'm really emphasizing this 00:23:06.88\00:23:11.75 because I want to make sure you get it, 00:23:11.82\00:23:13.76 don't just stop your meds but educate yourself 00:23:13.79\00:23:16.69 and that's what you do, you give them... 00:23:16.73\00:23:20.00 you give the Viewer who is watching... 00:23:20.03\00:23:22.36 if they want your Course... an education 00:23:22.40\00:23:25.13 in the different herbs and what they do. 00:23:25.17\00:23:27.44 Lee: That's correct. 00:23:27.50\00:23:28.84 Yvonne: And how much is it, what's the cost for the class? 00:23:28.87\00:23:31.64 Lee: For the whole one-month course, it is $495 00:23:31.67\00:23:35.94 and we're also working on a six-month program 00:23:35.98\00:23:39.55 which will be an extension to that one-month 00:23:39.58\00:23:43.08 which will help people to learn how they can, for example, 00:23:43.12\00:23:48.12 start their own herb ministry or become an instructor 00:23:48.16\00:23:51.69 in herbal remedies and things like that... 00:23:51.73\00:23:53.70 so, it's more for the serious students that want it. 00:23:53.76\00:23:57.40 Yes, those who want to kind of delve more deeply into it 00:23:57.47\00:24:00.67 and maybe... maybe some of our Viewers 00:24:00.70\00:24:04.94 can do the $495... if they... maybe over time 00:24:04.97\00:24:08.54 can set up something with you and then pay 00:24:08.58\00:24:11.31 and then get the course at the end of that 00:24:11.35\00:24:14.08 you could work something out. 00:24:14.12\00:24:15.95 Well, I should add... it's not actually... 00:24:15.98\00:24:17.92 I'm in the Instructor... the Organization is: 00:24:17.95\00:24:22.46 Lay Institute of Global Health Training 00:24:22.49\00:24:25.39 and so that's based in Georgia and so, 00:24:25.43\00:24:28.23 I'm sort of coming in there as the Instructor 00:24:28.26\00:24:30.57 and they're the ones that put the course platform together 00:24:30.60\00:24:36.20 and take phone calls. 00:24:36.24\00:24:38.57 Yvonne: Oh, okay, is it online? 00:24:38.61\00:24:40.08 Lee: It's online, it is online. Yvonne: Oh, okay. 00:24:40.11\00:24:43.41 Lee: Totally online... 00:24:43.45\00:24:44.85 Yvonne: That's great... that's great. 00:24:44.88\00:24:46.82 Lee: I was going to say we also do Seminars 00:24:46.85\00:24:50.02 on the weekend specially for people that want to see 00:24:50.09\00:24:54.79 how to make these things. 00:24:54.82\00:24:56.32 Yvonne: So you teach them. 00:24:56.36\00:24:57.76 Lee: Right, it's like a cooking school with herbs. 00:24:57.79\00:24:59.96 Yvonne: Yes... that's so incredible 00:25:00.00\00:25:01.53 because that's one of the things 00:25:01.56\00:25:03.03 that you and I have talked and you're going to come and 00:25:03.06\00:25:06.90 do some work on Dare to Dream 00:25:06.94\00:25:08.27 and teach natural remedies and herbal... herbal remedies... 00:25:08.30\00:25:11.94 Lee: Yeah, and get you in the kitchen. 00:25:11.97\00:25:13.31 Yvonne: Okay, cool... I love it... I love it... 00:25:13.34\00:25:15.24 Lee: That will be fun. 00:25:15.28\00:25:17.35 Yvonne: Get me in the kitchen, okay, that sounds good, 00:25:17.38\00:25:19.61 tell us some of the things that you would include in the Series. 00:25:19.65\00:25:22.92 Lee: Well, these are simple things that everyone can make 00:25:22.95\00:25:26.69 so, for example, a lot of mothers 00:25:26.72\00:25:28.86 want to know how to take care of their children, 00:25:28.92\00:25:30.99 so, if they're getting a runny nose, 00:25:31.06\00:25:33.43 if they're getting a cough... sore throat, 00:25:33.46\00:25:35.33 getting a cold, help boost that, 00:25:35.36\00:25:38.40 we could show how to make extracts, 00:25:38.43\00:25:41.10 how to make simple creams or salves, 00:25:41.14\00:25:43.77 if you got some inflammation, some little pain, 00:25:43.81\00:25:46.61 you can rub something topically on that... it helps with that... 00:25:46.64\00:25:49.24 how to make different teas and decoctions 00:25:49.28\00:25:52.85 and we'll probably even throw in some herbal smoothies. 00:25:52.88\00:25:55.38 Yvonne: Oh cool... 00:25:55.42\00:25:56.75 Lee: I'm getting really creative after you asked me about this. 00:25:56.79\00:26:00.62 Yvonne: I like it, I like that, herbal smoothies. 00:26:00.66\00:26:03.02 Lee: I even thought of an herb cake. 00:26:03.06\00:26:04.39 Yvonne: Really. 00:26:04.43\00:26:05.76 Lee: Yeah, oh, well not all herbs but 00:26:05.79\00:26:08.70 it will be a cake with some herbs. 00:26:08.73\00:26:11.73 Yvonne: Okay, that sounds good, yummy, that sounds good, 00:26:11.77\00:26:15.00 so what do you want the Viewer to take away 00:26:15.04\00:26:18.31 from the presentations that you make 00:26:18.34\00:26:21.74 and your whole philosophy about herbs, 00:26:21.78\00:26:25.15 what do you want to the Viewer to take away? 00:26:25.18\00:26:26.61 Lee: I want them to understand that this is something 00:26:26.65\00:26:30.39 that they themselves can do at home, very simple with it, 00:26:30.42\00:26:34.12 just a little bit of knowledge and a kitchen to use 00:26:34.16\00:26:37.23 some pots and pans so my role is to educate 00:26:37.26\00:26:40.26 and I believe that if people can swallow some education 00:26:40.30\00:26:42.90 they can avoid a lot of medication 00:26:42.96\00:26:44.47 and so I would like to get more and more people interested 00:26:44.50\00:26:51.61 in natural remedies and I see a growing trend 00:26:51.67\00:26:54.44 especially here in the United States 00:26:54.48\00:26:56.18 and First-world Countries of herbal medicine, 00:26:56.21\00:26:59.55 in fact, according to the World Health Organization, 00:26:59.58\00:27:02.05 we have over 4 billion people in the world using herbs. 00:27:02.08\00:27:04.19 Yvonne: Hmmm... 00:27:04.22\00:27:05.55 Lee: And even a lot of drug derivatives come from herbs 00:27:05.59\00:27:11.36 about 25 percent of modern pharmaceuticals 00:27:11.39\00:27:15.10 used in this Country come from herbs 00:27:15.13\00:27:17.40 so, we just want to get people excited about using them, 00:27:17.43\00:27:22.47 and using them intelligently. 00:27:22.50\00:27:23.91 Yvonne: Yes... 00:27:23.94\00:27:25.27 Lee: Because there's a right way and a wrong way, 00:27:25.31\00:27:26.98 so we need to educate... the right way. 00:27:27.01\00:27:29.08 Yvonne: Well, thank you so much, you've just... 00:27:29.11\00:27:31.08 you've given us some good education today 00:27:31.11\00:27:32.78 and we get to see your passion for the Lord and for this area 00:27:32.81\00:27:38.59 so thank you so much. 00:27:38.62\00:27:39.95 Lee: Thank you for having me, it's been a blessing. 00:27:39.99\00:27:42.52 Yvonne: And keep us informed as to what you're doing 00:27:42.56\00:27:45.29 and how we can reach you 00:27:45.33\00:27:46.66 and we'll put it up on our Facebook as well. 00:27:46.70\00:27:48.76 Lee: Great. 00:27:48.80\00:27:50.13 Yvonne: Well, we've reached the end of another Program, 00:27:50.17\00:27:53.27 I can't believe how quickly our time has flown, 00:27:53.30\00:27:56.40 you know, you need to check out herbs, 00:27:56.44\00:27:59.24 pray and then join us next time 00:27:59.27\00:28:02.24 because it just wouldn't be the same... without you. 00:28:02.28\00:28:04.61
