Exactly... exactly... 00:07:08.70\00:07:12.35 and that's so true... you know God gives us the... 00:07:12.38\00:07:16.00 the Bible says in the book of Deuteronomy... 00:07:16.03\00:07:17.49 that His Commandments are for life... 00:07:17.52\00:07:20.47 so, the Commandments and Laws, many times we look at God 00:07:20.50\00:07:23.30 like He's Godzilla... you know, and if we don't do what God says 00:07:23.34\00:07:26.13 then we're going to get zapped, He's going to come and bite us 00:07:26.16\00:07:28.92 or we kind of look at this God as a "Zapping God" 00:07:28.96\00:07:31.46 rather than realizing that what God has given us 00:07:31.50\00:07:33.93 is for our own benefit... you know, again each Commandment 00:07:33.96\00:07:36.89 every law that God gives... even Laws that He's given 00:07:36.93\00:07:39.42 that governs our bodies... if we follow with His laws... 00:07:39.46\00:07:42.17 the body in essence... reacts... in a healthy way... 00:07:42.21\00:07:44.89 if we work out... what happens? 00:07:44.93\00:07:46.67 We start looking, getting a little buff, 00:07:46.71\00:07:48.79 you know what I'm saying... we start getting fit... 00:07:48.83\00:07:50.86 and so, everything again... the things that He's given us 00:07:50.90\00:07:52.90 the Laws of Life, the Laws of His Word, 00:07:52.93\00:07:54.80 are only for our benefit... that's the blessing... 00:07:54.83\00:07:57.73 There are real... 00:07:57.76\00:07:59.80 there are bad things in the world... 00:07:59.84\00:08:01.70 there's real evil in the world, 00:08:01.74\00:08:03.29 there are real diseases in the world, 00:08:03.32\00:08:05.62 so if God is loving, and God is a father, 00:08:05.65\00:08:07.69 then, He's going to want to protect us 00:08:07.73\00:08:09.40 from these things and like you said, 00:08:09.44\00:08:11.04 "The Commandments are that protective barrier" 00:08:11.08\00:08:13.44 the moral and the physical elements... 00:08:13.47\00:08:15.64 Amen... Amen... 00:08:15.67\00:08:16.82 Now, have you done this 28-day challenge before 00:08:16.86\00:08:19.77 have you done a challenge similar to this or... 00:08:19.81\00:08:22.69 We actually have... believe it or not... 00:08:22.72\00:08:25.38 I've actually been having restaurants 00:08:25.42\00:08:28.02 for the last 7 or 8 years... and then those experiences... 00:08:28.05\00:08:31.82 we have been able to run those Programs in our restaurant... 00:08:31.86\00:08:35.59 I've been able to do it in a personal level 00:08:35.63\00:08:37.52 to give you a success story, there was a lady 00:08:37.55\00:08:39.72 who was actually... who was on our Program... 00:08:39.76\00:08:42.12 she lived in D.C. and she didn't know anything 00:08:42.16\00:08:44.51 about eating healthy... she actually had a very 00:08:44.55\00:08:47.16 sedentary lifestyle... she was really overweight... 00:08:47.19\00:08:49.77 she had a skin disease called Eczema... 00:08:49.81\00:08:52.49 and believe it or not... she was in our Program 00:08:52.53\00:08:54.63 a little longer than 28 days but pretty much 00:08:54.67\00:08:57.73 in about 40 days... she lost almost 40 pounds... 00:08:57.77\00:09:00.66 it was amazing to see the progress that she had... 00:09:00.70\00:09:03.65 her skin began clearing up, I mean, she began to... 00:09:03.69\00:09:06.61 she was a Christian as well... 00:09:06.64\00:09:07.68 she was drawing closer to the Lord... 00:09:07.72\00:09:09.06 and I ended up moving away... so I didn't get to stay with her 00:09:09.09\00:09:13.12 longer than those 40 days... but the Lord really, really made 00:09:13.15\00:09:17.06 tremendous impact in her life... and so... 00:09:17.10\00:09:20.21 I mean, I have tons of success stories that God has done 00:09:20.24\00:09:22.74 similar to that... but it really does work, man... 00:09:22.77\00:09:24.29 it really does work... 00:09:24.33\00:09:25.73 So, you mean, you can take a person 00:09:25.76\00:09:27.50 that eats a little unhealthy maybe like steak... 00:09:27.53\00:09:32.59 maybe likes some chicken, maybe likes some French fries, 00:09:32.63\00:09:35.21 some ice cream at midnight, you know... something like that 00:09:35.24\00:09:38.03 and you can transform that diet like that 00:09:38.06\00:09:42.53 and with good food? Yes... 00:09:42.57\00:09:43.85 yes, you'd better believe it... I'll give you another story... 00:09:43.88\00:09:45.52 a lady... she was a doctor... 00:09:45.56\00:09:46.65 she was a doctor and she was a lawyer... 00:09:46.68\00:09:49.42 it's pretty interesting... she was a very educated woman 00:09:49.45\00:09:52.01 she worked also, in the DC-Maryland area... 00:09:52.04\00:09:54.44 and believe it or not... she actually had read some books 00:09:54.48\00:09:57.93 about eating a plant-based diet, 00:09:57.96\00:09:59.26 she didn't know how to make the transition, so... 00:09:59.29\00:10:01.41 she got in contact with me... we started working with her... 00:10:01.44\00:10:04.76 and amazingly, literally, 00:10:04.79\00:10:06.12 she had a disease where she was actually taking 00:10:06.15\00:10:08.90 a lot of... it's a kind of medication called Prednisone... 00:10:08.94\00:10:12.06 and the Prednisone was causing her to gain weight, 00:10:12.10\00:10:14.49 believe it or not, and within... literally... 00:10:14.53\00:10:16.85 again, it wasn't the 28 days... it was a little longer than that 00:10:16.89\00:10:19.40 she stuck with it for almost 2 or 3 months 00:10:19.44\00:10:21.15 by just changed her lifestyle within a few months... 00:10:21.19\00:10:23.91 she literally saw... she lost about 30 pounds... 00:10:23.94\00:10:26.44 she came off 90 percent of her medication... 00:10:26.47\00:10:28.93 she's found that... when she started eating... 00:10:28.97\00:10:31.06 the things that she wasn't supposed to eat... 00:10:31.10\00:10:33.16 because she would find her joints would begin 00:10:33.19\00:10:34.95 swelling again... and so she realized 00:10:34.99\00:10:37.00 as a Physician and understanding that... 00:10:37.04\00:10:38.98 she said, she saw quantitative and qualitative results... 00:10:39.02\00:10:42.32 as a result of changing her lifestyle going on a plant-based 00:10:42.35\00:10:45.61 lifestyle... and so, I say, 00:10:45.65\00:10:47.64 "Look, I've seen it... I've tasted it... it works... I like that... 00:12:26.27\00:12:28.40 It was always Burger King... 00:12:28.44\00:12:29.50 but, actually, I found out about health at a young age... 00:12:29.53\00:12:33.54 so at 17-years-old, I became a Vegan Vegetarian 00:12:33.57\00:12:37.18 and then, I went to do some things 00:12:37.22\00:12:39.35 left that lifestyle... and I got back in... 00:12:39.38\00:12:41.16 so I haven't been eating healthy always... 00:12:41.19\00:12:43.67 but as I was growing up my mom always fed us 00:12:43.71\00:12:46.12 meat protein... and she always fed us vegetarian meals 00:12:46.15\00:12:49.78 and so, one day we might have fried chicken 00:12:49.82\00:12:52.64 but then the next day we might have... 00:12:52.68\00:12:54.05 just an all vegetarian meal 00:12:54.08\00:12:55.69 and so, I had that balance, 00:12:55.73\00:12:57.30 and so it was an easy transition when I got older... 00:12:57.34\00:13:00.72 Mine was kind of similar but not exactly the same, 00:13:00.75\00:13:04.06 I grew up around a family, 00:13:04.09\00:13:05.66 my uncles and my aunts were vegetarians 00:13:05.70\00:13:07.35 but my family... man, oh man, 00:13:07.38\00:13:09.78 "give me the fried chicken" 00:13:09.81\00:13:12.14 you know what I'm saying... fried chicken... barbeque sauce 00:13:12.18\00:13:14.34 my nose is sweating... I'm dipping...
