Ten Commandments.

God gave the Ten Commandments
to keep us out of bondage.

show our love for God,

for our fellow human beings.

Let's look at them in sequence.

'I am the Lord your God,

who brought you out
of the land of Egypt,

So here we can
see that God spoke,

and all of Israel is listening
and acknowledging the fact

that God just rescued them
from being slaves in Egypt.

So what He's about to say next,

instructs them how to
stay free from any bondage,

and shows them
what freedom really is.

Let's not forget
the unseen battle

going on behind the
scenes between God and Satan.

The devil must
have been observing God

speaking to the Israelites,

and I imagined him cringing,

when he heard the
thundering voice of God

review His heavenly principles

with the human race.
00:06:45.13\00:06:46.84
Because these same 10
rules are what he hates,

the very thing that he
rebelled against in heaven.

Plus, if humans
follow these laws,

it makes Satan's
work much more difficult.

Now, verse 3, this is
commandment number one,

"You shall have no
other gods before Me."

When I read that commandment,

I sit back and I
think, if I was God,

King of the universe,

and I had just
created an incredible planet,

and I love my
beautiful creation so much

that I would do
anything and everything for them

in the most ideal ultimate way,

I would want My creations
to acknowledge Me as their God,

love Me by their
own freewill, trust Me,

and enjoy a personal
relationship with Me.

And because I would want
to protect My human race,

I would desire for
them to not be misled

by counterfeit gods
that I know have no power.

Conversely, if I was Satan,

even obsessed with
anything besides God.

And it wouldn't have to
be gods of other religions,

television shows that usurp

humans' thoughts and time,

Friends, the
first commandment shows

God pleading with
us to love Him back

without any
stumbling block interfering

in an intimate
relationship with Him.

He desires that we cherish Him,

and not the
things of this world.

We are not to have
anything in the place of God.

He is to be our number one.

commandment number two,

This lowers man's
conception of God.

down to a stone carving

or wax figure,

your mind is not on God above.

But instead you're
attracted to the creature

rather than to the Creator.

As society's
conceptions of God lowers,

In my travels around the world,

I witness various
multitudes of people

paying homage to
different images and idols.

Many of these
idols are broken down,

semi deteriorated,
worn, and have no life source.

Many of these gods resemble
terrifying monster faces

and have
distorted disfigured bodies.

They're always selfish gods.

Isn't it interesting that
the living God is selfless

and all about pure beauty.

This is
reflected onto our planet,

from gorgeous flowers
to breathtaking landscapes,

from tropical birds
to colorful sunsets.

So isn't it interesting
that manmade gods of this world

are often hideous and grotesque?

If I was God's chief
rival, that's what I'll do.

God says He's a jealous God,
meaning He loves you so much,

and is willing to do
whatever it takes to save you.

God's saying, "Please

don't make up replicas and fakes

when I'm offering you Myself,

the real deal

We show our
allegiance via worship.

So there is no doubt
that the enemy of God

who and how we worship.

come to Me through images,

Satan is constantly
endeavoring to attract attention

to man in the place of God.

He leads the
people to look to bishops,

to pastors, to professors
of theology as their guides,

instead of
searching the scriptures

to learn their
duty for themselves.

Then by controlling
the minds of these leaders,

the devil can
influence the multitudes

according to his will.

Prophecy repeatedly shows

this is the very
thing that's happening.

Also, in this commandment,

God calls
attention to parents advising

if you as a parent
choose wrongdoing in your life,

this and is influenced by it.

forgot the only commandment

that God said to remember.

And if they did
remember something about it,

I would distort and twist it.

Friends, for me personally,

this commandment every week,

because the benefits
are not only spiritual,

commandment number five,

I know that when I have
not done this in the past,

when I disrespected
my parents in some way,

Whereas when I treat
my parents with love,

kindness and

Also, this commandment
has a promise for a long life.
