this series of meetings

famous Antichrist of Scripture.

that will resist its power.

and answer three questions.

is the antichrist?

Let me just mentioned some
of those that in the course

hundred and fifty years

candidates as the antichrist

when they rose. There
were some that believe

that Benito
Mussolini was the antichrist.

He was the premiere of Italy,
and he ruled from 1922 to 1943.

Obviously he
wasn't the antichrist

because they hung
him in the public square.

Then a little bit later

they thought that perhaps
that might be Adolf Hitler,

who was the Führer of
Germany from 1934 to 1945.

But of course he wasn't,
because he committed suicide.

Others thought that it
might be the Ayatollah Khomeini,

the founder of
the Islamic Republic

that overthrew the Shah.

But he's dead. He
wasn't the Antichrist.

might be Yasser Arafat,

who was the chairman of the PLO,

heard Christians say that.

Now for most evangelicals,
for most Protestants

of the Adventist Church,

the antichrist will
be a nasty individual

that is going to
rise at the end of time

after the rapture of the church.

This individual will
rebuild the Jewish temple.

He will make an image of himself
and command everyone to worship

this is the scenario

individuals that are mentioned

we don't need to guess.

We don't need to conjecture
about who the antichrist is,

makes it very clear

dealing with symbols,

There are not leopards that

dealing with symbols,

and symbols have to be decoded.

determine what their meaning is.

question is how can we determine

symbol. It's very simple.

explained in the very context

going to be based on Daniel 7.

we're going to study Daniel 7.

So we're going to take a
look at these two chapters,

if we can catch the flow
of the historical flow method.

Now, it's important to recognize
the date of Daniel chapter 7.

Daniel chapter 7
was actually written,

or at least the vision Daniel
had was in the year 550 B.C..

Five-hundred and
fifty years before Christ.

Now eleven years
later the kingdom of Babylon

was going to fall.

So basically everything
that we have in Daniel 7

is future from the time
that Daniel received the vision.

That's amazing
because we're going to find

a precise description of a
chain of events in history.

One event right after
another. Beginning with Babylon

and ending with the setting up
of Christ's everlasting Kingdom.

So let's go to Daniel chapter 7,
and let's analyze this chapter

how prophetic history flows

and where it ends.

four winds of heaven were
stirring up the great sea. >>

And we have two symbols here.

We have the four winds,
and we have the great sea.

So the question is, what
is meant by the four winds

and what is
meant by the great sea?

I know we usually use

where it says that the waters
upon which the harlot sits

are multitudes
nations tongues and peoples.

But I believe that
there's a better text to explain

what the waters represent then
Revelation chapter 17 verse 15.

Here it says, << Woe to
the multitude of many people,

who make a noise
like the roar of the seas;

..So what does the
roar of the seas represent?

Many what? Many people.

And then the second half
of the verse expands upon it.

The second half says..
and to the rushing of nations,

that make a rushing like
the rushing of mighty waters!>>

So what does the rushing of
the mighty waters represent?

The rushing of what? Of
nations, the rushing of nations.

And what happens when the
winds hit the waves of the sea?

Oh the sea becomes agitated.

So the winds represent
strife and wars among nations

in order to gain the supremacy.

meaning of the winds.

So Daniel says to

Babylon a kingdom?

kingdom is going to arise

is what God is saying.

So, in other words,
beasts, yes they represent kings

way of knowing this.

In France, the Gallic
rooster. In other words,

nation has their own mascot.

Animals represent kingdoms.

And so it shouldn't surprise
us that in Daniel chapter 7

these animals
that rise from the sea,

that are carnivorous,

represent various
nations or various kingdoms.

So let's take a
look at the first beast

that rises in the midst of
the turmoil of the nations.

Daniel chapter 7 verse 4
gives us the starting point

for the great prophetic
chain. Remember that phrase,

Daniel 7:4 gives us the
starting point of the chain.

And then Daniel
7 is gonna give us

all of the other
links of the chain

with Revelation chapter 13.

Archaeologists have dug
up what was ancient Babylon

main entrances to the city.

So we know that the lion
was something very important

for King Nebuchadnezzar.

So that's probably
why God would tell him

that Babylon
represented the lion.

He would feel very
comfortable with that idea.

Now the lion not only is found
in the entrances of Babylon

in the midst of the winds

in the Christian world,

But the problem is

says that the Antichrist
is gonna be a nasty individual

that will rise

and rule for three

and persecute the Jews
and make an image of himself

Whereas, in the

represents a power that existed

during the history
