00:02 Can you believe it?
00:05 Can you build your faith on it? 00:08 The promises of God's Word are sure. 00:12 They do not fail. 00:17 This book has stood the test of time. 00:30 Heavenly Father, 00:33 tonight as we look at this great prophecy 00:38 we would like to invite the Holy Spirit 00:42 to be in our presence. 00:45 Lord, may it enlighten our minds. 00:50 We pray, Lord, that our hearts may be open. 00:57 That they may be soft. 01:01 That the Holy Spirit may be able to show us 01:04 and lead us and direct us. 01:06 That we might see that Jesus Christ 01:11 is everything that He claims to be 01:16 and that each one of us here tonight 01:20 may reach out, claim the things that He has done for us. 01:26 For this we ask in Christ's name, Amen. 01:37 I was holding a meeting 01:38 in the southern part of the United States, 01:42 and to this meeting came a couple young ladies. 01:47 One 17 years old; the other 19 years old. 01:52 And after they had been coming to the meeting for about 01:56 two weeks they came up to me after the meeting one night 02:00 and said: "Would you consider being a witness for us? " 02:06 And I said: "I don't know what you mean. 02:10 What are you taking about? " 02:11 And they said: "Well, we've got to appear before a judge 02:16 and we would like for you to be a character witness for us. " 02:21 And I said: "I still don't understand what's going on. " 02:25 And they said: "Well, uh, 02:27 we were arrested and 02:31 we need a character witness. " 02:33 And I said: "What were you arrested for? " 02:35 And they said: "Oh, we were arrested for dealing drugs. " 02:39 And said: "We would like to... for you to be a character 02:44 witness for us. " 02:45 And I said: "Well, I'll tell you what... 02:46 I'll be happy to go to the court with you. 02:49 And I'll be happy to tell the judge you've been coming 02:52 to the meetings each night. I'll be more than happy 02:53 to do that. " And they said: "OK. 02:56 If you'll do that. " And I said: "I'll be happy to do that. " 02:58 So we went to court. 03:01 A little bit the judge talked to the girls. 03:04 He said: "I understand you have a character witness. " 03:07 So he called me up 03:09 and I told him that these girls had been coming every night 03:11 to the meetings for about two weeks 03:13 and they have shown an interest in God's Word and all that. 03:17 And the judge said: "Thank you" and he turned to the girls 03:20 and he said: "I'll you what... " He said: 03:22 "I'll make it easy on you. " 03:25 He said: "I'll make it easy on you. 03:27 You tell me who's selling you the drugs 03:32 and I'll drop everything. " 03:37 And these girls said 03:39 "We're not going to tell you who's selling us the drugs. " 03:42 And the judge said: "Let me tell you something: 03:46 if you don't tell me who's selling you the drugs 03:49 I'm going to throw the book at you. " 03:51 And the girls said: "Well we're not telling you who sold... 03:55 who we bought the drugs from. " 03:57 The judge said: "I'll tell you what. I'm going to give you 04:00 three days to think it over. " 04:01 And he said: "In three days I want you back here in the court 04:05 and you can decide whether you're going to tell me 04:07 or whether you're not. " So we left. 04:10 And when the girls came to the meeting that night 04:12 I said: "Have you decided what you're going to do? " 04:15 And they said: "Oh, we're not going to tell him. " 04:17 And I said: "That judge is going to let you have it. " 04:21 And they said: "Nah... he's not going to do it. " 04:24 Said: "He's not going to do it. " 04:25 I said: "Let me tell you something. That judge 04:28 is not playing around with you. 04:29 He's going to throw the book at you. " 04:31 They said: "No, he's not going to do anything like that. 04:35 We're not going to tell who 04:37 we've been buying the drugs from. " 04:39 So in three days we went back to court. 04:41 I went with the girls. 04:42 Judge called them up and said: "Uh, 04:45 who... who have you been buying the drugs from? " 04:49 "Oh, " they said, "judge, we're not going to tell you. " 04:51 And the judge said: "I'm asking you... 04:55 you tell me who you're buying the drugs from. " 04:58 And they said: "No, judge, we're not going to tell you. " 05:00 And I watched... I watched as that judge 05:05 sentenced one girl to 17 years in prison 05:09 and the other girl to 25 years. 05:12 I watched the blood drain out of their faces. 05:17 Sobbing... I watched the guards carry them off to prison. 05:24 And I turned to the judge and I said: 05:26 "Judge, do you understand what you've done? " 05:28 And he said: "What do you mean? " 05:31 And I said: "These girls were coming to my meeting. 05:34 There was some chance that maybe they might 05:37 give their heart to the Lord 05:38 and that He could change their life and make them different. 05:41 And now look what you've done. You've put them in prison 05:43 and I can't even get to them. " 05:45 He said: "Oh, I'll solve that. " 05:46 He just wrote out a note and he said: 05:47 "All you've got to do is show this and they'll let you in 05:49 any time. " 05:53 So I went in to see the girls. 05:57 To say that they were shook up 06:00 is to put it mildly, folks. 06:02 And I said: "I told you he was going to do this. " 06:06 Said: "You wouldn't believe me. 06:08 I told you he was going to do this. " 06:09 I said: "Why don't you tell him? " 06:14 And I don't know where I got the crazy idea, folks, 06:18 but I said: "If these people that are selling you the drugs, 06:23 selling the drugs to you, told you to tell them, 06:25 would you tell him? " 06:27 They said: "Oh, they would never do that. " 06:30 And I said: "Let me talk to them... 06:33 Let me talk to them. " 06:36 So after a bit they said: "OK. " 06:39 And they wrote out a note. Told me where to take that note 06:44 and who to contact... 06:45 and the arrangements would be made. 06:47 Well, I took the note and arrangements were made. 06:52 They sent me back a note and said: 06:53 "We'll meet you Tuesday night at Pier 11 at 11 o'clock. 07:00 I've got to admit one of the... scaredest I think I've ever been 07:04 in my life... because I walked down Pier 9 there. 07:10 There wasn't a light on. It was pitch dark. 07:13 11 o'clock at night standing there by myself... 07:17 scared to death. 07:19 And finally down the pier came these two men 07:24 dressed in business suits. 07:26 I mean, nice looking. 07:30 Neat, clean... regular businessmen. 07:36 And we had quite a conversation. 07:40 I finally said to them, you know: "How can you... 07:43 how can you let two girls - one go to prison for 17 years 07:47 and another one go to prison for 25 years - 07:49 how can you do that? " 07:52 So after we talked a while, they said: "OK, 07:54 they said: "Uh, you tell the girls they can tell them... 07:58 but you can't take this note to the girls for 24 hours. " 08:03 And so I assured them I wouldn't. 08:06 They wrote the note telling the girls to tell them, 08:10 and 24 hours later I took it to the girls. 08:14 The girls told the judge. I'll never forget it. 08:17 Of course, I'm sure those men were gone long by then. 08:21 But what I'm trying to tell you, dear friends, 08:24 is every one of us here tonight - 08:26 I don't care who you are - 08:28 every last one of us here 08:31 are going to have to stand before the judgment bar of God. 08:34 For the scripture tells us that. 08:37 Ecclesiastes the 12th chapter verse 14: 08:54 Going to bring it all into judgment. 08:56 It doesn't make any difference. 08:59 And dear friend, let me tell you something: 09:01 it's here... it's here during this life. 09:05 There's not such a thing as a second chance. 09:09 That doesn't exist... it's now! 09:11 Take it or leave it. 09:13 It's your last chance. 09:15 There's not another opportunity, 09:18 for the scripture makes that clear in the book of Hebrews. 09:20 Hebrews 9:27: 09:31 Scripture is absolutely clear. 09:33 Says: "It's appointed unto man to die once, 09:36 after that the judgment. " What's going to happen then? 09:52 It says very clear man's going to die. 09:55 After that's going to be the judgment. 09:57 Jesus is going to come! 10:00 That's clear... that's what it says. 10:03 So you and I have this time now. 10:07 You don't have some future time, you have today. 10:12 And it says God is going to bring every work into judgment. 10:16 Now I told you... we've studied Bible prophecy. 10:22 I've tried to lay a foundation to help you. 10:26 Now you can begin to apply 10:29 some of the things that you have learned. 10:31 Notice what it says here in Daniel the 7th chapter 10:35 verse 21, OK? 11:12 Did you put some things together? 11:14 It talked about the little horn. 11:18 We studied that little horn, OK? 11:20 And it says that when little horn came down to an end 11:24 that the judgment would begin. 11:27 That's what it's saying here. 11:28 And in our study of Daniel the 7th chapter 11:31 we identified that little horn as... 11:35 papal Rome. 11:37 So it says that as papal Rome would come to an end 11:43 the judgment would begin. 11:46 And when the judgment came to an end 11:49 the saints would possess the kingdom. 11:52 Are you putting it together? 11:54 Step by step, that's what the scripture is saying. 11:56 Well you remember in our study - 11:58 Daniel 7: 25- listen carefully: 12:07 So it says that little horn 12:10 the saints were going to be given into his hand 12:13 for a time, times, and a dividing of time. 12:16 Listen carefully: 12:21 Saints are going to be given into his hand for a time, 12:25 times, and a half a time... 12:27 then the court is going to be seated. 12:29 That means judgment, all right? 12:32 "And they shall take away his dominion... " 12:36 When did they take away his dominion, folks? 12:40 Napoleon came in and overthrew it when? 12:46 February 15, 1798. 12:49 Are you putting it together? 12:51 All right, that's when his dominion ended. 12:54 "they shall take away his dominion to consume and 12:57 destroy it forever. " 13:00 Now, as we have studied the scripture, God said 13:02 that He gave us how much? A day for... 13:05 each year. That's what He's told us it represents. 13:09 OK. 13:12 Says its going to be given... 13:13 saints will be given into his hand for a time, 13:15 times, and a half a time. 13:18 We found out that in Bible prophecy 13:20 a time represented one year. 13:23 OK. That would be 360 days. 13:27 Times would represent 2 years which would be 720. 13:31 And a half a time would be 180. 13:34 If you add those together, it gives you 13:37 1,260 days... 13:41 each day representing a year. 13:43 We found out in our study that the papal power 13:46 came to power in the year of 538 AD, right? 13:52 And it says that it was going to be given into his hand 13:55 for 1,260 years. 13:57 If I add 1,260 years to 538, 14:02 it takes me to 1798 AD. 14:06 OK, that is the period. 14:08 And it says when that period ended 14:11 the court would be seated. 14:14 Are you with me? 14:15 Now, folks, watch very carefully because that's Daniel 7. 14:21 We're moving into Daniel 8. 14:24 Watch what begins to happen. 14:45 So it says that this power - this little horn - 14:48 it prospered during the 1,260 years. 14:52 That's what it's saying. 14:53 Now watch... we're Daniel 8: 15:11 He's saying: "How long is this going to go on? " 15:15 Because it said that little horn would prosper. 15:17 It could cast the truth to the ground. 15:19 It would do these things. He said: "How long 15:21 is this going to go on? " 15:23 Watch: 15:38 All right, now let's put it together. 15:41 He's saying: "How long is this going to go on? " 15:45 It was going to go on for 1,260 years. 15:48 All right? Then he said When that's going to be over... 15:52 and then he said there would be 2,300 days 15:57 or 2,300 years. 15:59 When Daniel had this vision in the 8th chapter, folks, 16:03 he didn't understand it. 16:06 Couldn't put it together. 16:08 And you come to the last verse of the 8th chapter of Daniel 16:12 and it reads like this: 16:31 Couldn't put it together. 16:33 So in the 9th chapter of Daniel, Daniel begins to pray 16:37 that God will help him understand this vision. 16:41 And as Daniel is praying 16:43 asking God to reveal this vision to him 16:46 all of a sudden God sends an angel 16:50 by the name of Gabriel. 17:16 All right? 17:23 So that angel Gabriel, folks, is come 17:27 to explain this vision to Daniel. 17:29 What vision is he explaining? 17:31 He's explaining this 2,300 days, that's what he's explaining. 17:36 So watch now as Daniel takes it through. 17:40 And those of you that are here 17:42 who have some questions about Jesus Christ 17:45 being all that He claimed to be 17:47 then I'd like to invite you to follow me very, very 17:52 carefully. 17:55 Daniel 9:24... angel Gabriel speaking to Daniel... 17:59 He says: "Daniel... " 18:06 Who is Daniel's people? 18:08 The Jewish people: that's Daniel's people. 18:13 So he said: "Seventy weeks 18:15 are determined for your people, Daniel. " 18:18 Now watch: 18:30 How can I know when the prophecy starts? 18:33 The angel Gabriel does not leave you in any doubt 18:37 whatsoever. Listen to these words: 18:47 Until what? 18:51 OK, here we go... 18:54 Those of you that are having questions about Jesus Christ 18:57 watch clearly: 19:05 The Jewish people are in captivity. 19:08 They've been in captivity in Babylon. 19:10 They're now in captivity to Medo-Persia. 19:13 And he's told him when the decree goes forth, 19:17 OK, for them to go back and rebuild Jerusalem 19:21 unto the Messiah, the Prince, 19:34 So he's told him here clearly. 19:36 Said: "Daniel, seventy weeks are determined on your people. " 19:39 "Understand, Daniel... from the going forth of the commandment 19:44 to restore and build Jerusalem 19:45 unto the Messiah, the Prince, 19:48 will be sixty-nine weeks. 19:52 That's what the angel Gabriel has just told him. 19:55 OK. When was the decree given 19:59 to restore and rebuild Jerusalem? 20:01 Well there were three decrees that were given. 20:03 Cyrus gave a decree 20:05 sending them back to rebuild the temple. 20:08 Later, Darius gave a decree 20:11 in which... helped them finish building the temple. 20:14 A little later than that, a king by the name of Artaxerxes... 20:18 Artaxerxes sent Nehemiah back 20:21 and he rebuilt the walls and the gates. 20:24 But it wasn't until Artaxerxes made a decree 20:28 that gave to Ezra the right to go back and to 20:33 elect judges and magistrates and set Israel back 20:39 as a nation that that decree really went into effect. 20:44 This decree is recorded in Ezra the 7th chapter 20:47 and verse 12, and it says: 21:12 That decree was given by King Artaxerxes, folks, 21:16 in the year 457 BC. 21:21 So you have a starting date. 21:24 That was the decree that was given for them to go back 21:28 and rebuild Jerusalem... 457 BC. 21:32 He said from there it would be sixty-nine weeks 21:36 unto the... what? 21:40 Messiah. 21:43 OK. We have a little key that we keep referring to. 21:47 I don't want you to forget it. 21:49 Because if we're dealing with 2,300 days in Bible prophecy 21:53 that would be... 2,300 years. 22:08 So that's a principle that's there in scripture 22:10 telling you that a day represents a year. 22:12 Now let's watch as we see how the Bible puts it together. 22:16 A prophetic... in Bible prophecy a prophetic day equals 22:20 one literal year. 22:23 All right. 22:41 So if I've got sixty-nine weeks, 22:44 my starting date is 457 BC. 22:50 OK... Here we go. 22:52 starting date. 22:57 So I'm going to put them down. 22:59 Now if I've got sixty-nine weeks 23:02 right? And how many days are there in a week? 23:06 Seven days in a week. 23:09 So I have to multiply 7 times 69, right? 23:15 If I multiply 7 times 69, that equals 23:21 483. 23:25 Now in BC dates, folks, 23:28 BC dates you subtract. 23:30 AD dates we add, you know... but BC dates you must subtract. 23:34 So I have to subtract 23:36 483 from 457. 23:41 With me? 23:43 If I subtract 483 from 457, 23:50 that will take me to the date 23:53 of 27 AD. 23:58 OK? There it is. 24:01 If I subtract 457 from 483, 24:06 it takes me to 27 AD. 24:08 Now folks, something has to happen! 24:12 Something has to take place. 24:14 Because Daniel has said back here... way back in 500 BC 24:19 he said it's sixty-nine weeks or 483 years 24:23 unto the Messiah the Prince. 24:27 Watch what happens, folks. 24:32 Luke the 3rd chapter verse 1... 24:43 OK, that's Luke the 3rd chapter. 24:46 Watch the 3rd chapter verse 21: 25:11 Are you getting the picture? 25:12 Right there Jesus was baptized, He began His ministry. 25:18 You want to see an interesting fact? 25:26 Jesus was baptized right on time and began His ministry. 25:31 Dear friend tonight if you don't believe this book, 25:34 if you don't believe that Jesus Christ was the Messiah, 25:37 answer that for me. 25:39 Answer it for me. Tell me how that can be! 25:42 Tell me anybody else 25:45 anybody else in the whole wide world 25:48 that fits that time sequence. 25:52 Jesus Christ alone is the only one that fits that time sequence 25:57 and He was born exactly right on time 26:01 and He began His ministry exactly on time. 26:07 There's nobody else. 26:09 Jesus Christ alone is the one that fits that. 26:15 If you're intellectually honest, 26:18 if you're intellectually honest, 26:21 you've got to do something 26:22 with that. 26:24 You can't see that 26:26 and look at that square in the face 26:28 and say: "Well, all these prophesies about Him being 26:33 the Messiah - there's over 300 of them in the Old Testament - 26:35 They don't have any meaning? " 26:39 Indeed they do have meaning, friends. 26:41 He is the Savior of mankind. But let's go on. 26:46 Daniel... the angel Gabriel has said to Daniel... 26:49 how many weeks was determined upon his people? 26:51 Seventy weeks... 26:55 Well, we have looked at 69. 27:00 That's how many we've looked at. 27:01 So if we've looked at sixty-nine weeks, 27:04 sixty-nine weeks brought us down to 27 AD... 27:08 so I still have one week left. 27:12 All right. You with me? 27:14 "Seventy weeks are determined on your people. " 27:17 We've looked at 69... 27:18 so that leaves me one week. 27:21 This last week, folks, is extremely important. 27:25 Look at it very, very carefully. 27:44 Now it's speaking of the Messiah here 27:47 and it says that He would con... that He would 27:52 "confirm the covenant. " And by the way, 27:54 I run onto some people that want to apply that 27:56 to the antichrist rather than Jesus Christ. 28:01 Let me tell you something. 28:02 There is nowhere in this book - 28:04 absolutely nowhere in this book - 28:06 does it ever refer to the antichrist and the covenant. 28:09 The covenant always refers to Jesus Christ. 28:14 Never, never does it ever refer to an antichrist. 28:18 Just does not do that. 28:19 When it says "He would confirm the covenant with many 28:22 for one week, " that can't be talking about anything other 28:25 than Jesus Christ. 28:27 "And He shall bring an end to sacrifices and offerings. " 28:32 Well, let's see what we're going to do. 28:34 We have this seventh week right here. 28:37 27 AD. 28:40 Said in the MIDDLE of the week He's going to cause the 28:44 sacrifices and ablations to cease. 28:46 Well, if I've got 7 and I go to half of it, 28:50 that's how much? 28:51 Three and a half. 28:52 So if I go 3-1/2... 28:55 if I go 3-1/2 from 27 AD, 29:00 it says that Jesus would bring the sacrifices and ablations 29:05 to an end. 29:06 Let's see what happened. 29:09 They've taken Christ. 29:12 They taken Him out to Golgotha 29:15 and they've hung Him on a cross. 29:19 While He's there hanging there on the cross 29:22 in Jerusalem the high priest - 29:26 or a priest, I should say - 29:29 is about ready to offer a sacrificial lamb. 29:31 Has his hand raised to take the life of that lamb 29:37 when all of a sudden this veil - 29:40 this huge veil that separated 29:42 the holy and the and the most holy place - 29:44 began to tear at the top 29:46 and it tore all the way to the bottom. 29:49 It's recorded here in Mark the 15th chapter verse 38: 29:59 Now dear friends, the famous historian Josephus 30:04 describes that event. 30:06 And he says when that veil tore from top to bottom 30:10 that that priest dropped his knife and he said he 30:13 went running out of the temple yelling: 30:15 "Ichabod, Ichabod! " 30:17 Which meant that the glory of God had departed 30:21 from the temple. 30:23 Why? Because the Lamb of God had died. 30:27 The sacrifices, ablations, offerings... 30:31 they came to an end. 30:33 The sacrifice had been paid for all mankind. 30:38 No longer... No longer, dear friends, 30:42 do we need to bring a sacrifice. 30:45 He was the sacrifice. 30:48 The whole sacrificial system came to an end 30:54 just exactly as the scripture declared it would. 30:57 31 AD is when that took place. 31:02 31 AD. 31:05 OK. If I have three and a half, 31:11 brought me to 31 AD, 31:14 I still have how much left? 31:16 Three and a half... because we divided seven. 31:19 So I've got three and a half. 31:20 So if I add 3-1/2 to 31 AD, 31:24 that's going to take me to 34 AD. 31:29 34 AD. 31:31 You still have doubts about this book? 31:33 Still have questions about it? 31:36 Are you not convinced yet that you can trust it? 31:43 Not far along enough to say: 31:47 "Well, God will do what He says? " 31:51 If you're that way, then listen: 31:54 He said: "Daniel seventy weeks 31:58 are determined upon thy people. " 32:00 That seventy weeks, dear friends, came to an end 32:04 in 34 AD. 32:08 Daniel's people was the Jewish people. 32:10 OK. It's going to come to an end 34 AD. 32:17 Now let's watch... watch what happens: 32:23 There's a young man... very articulate. 32:28 Great powers of reasoning. 32:31 And he has gone throughout all of Israel preaching. 32:35 Preaching that Jesus Christ IS the Messiah. 32:39 And not only just preaching, folks, 32:41 he's taken this very prophecy - 32:43 this very prophecy we're talking about tonight - 32:46 and he has explained that with detail 32:49 and showed how that Jesus met every point 32:52 exactly as the scripture said. 32:54 And his reasoning was so strong 32:57 that they couldn't find anything wrong with it. 32:59 And hundreds and hundreds - a multitude the scripture says - 33:04 of priests even believed. 33:06 They were accepting Jesus Christ. 33:09 So many were giving their hearts to Christ 33:12 that the Sanhedrin had him arrested. 33:17 They brought this young man in before them 33:20 and they gave him an opportunity to defend himself. 33:25 And he picked up the scripture 33:28 and he began to take these prophecies 33:31 and he began to explain 33:33 how Christ fulfilled every one of them. 33:36 And his arguments were so sound, 33:39 his reasoning so right, 33:41 that they couldn't take it. 33:43 In fact, the scripture says that got to the place 33:46 that they couldn't stand it 33:48 and they stuck their fingers in their ears. 33:51 And he said to them: "Oh, you uncircumcised of heart! 33:55 How long will you cease to believe? " 33:57 And they grabbed him 34:00 and they drug him outside the city. 34:02 They took off their coats. 34:06 They laid them at the feet of a young man 34:09 by the name of Saul of Tarsus 34:12 and they stoned Stephen to death. 34:18 Saul of Tarsus, a few days later, 34:22 has been called by the high priest Ananias. 34:27 Asked to go down to Damascus 34:30 and to arrest the Christians there. 34:32 He's been given a group of soldiers 34:33 and they've headed for Damascus. 34:37 And as they get within sight of the city of Damascus 34:41 all of a sudden a bright light shines out of heaven. 34:45 And it's so bright that it knocks Saul to the ground. 34:48 And a voice speaks and says: "Saul, Saul, 34:51 why persecutest thou Me? " 34:53 He said: "Who are you, Lord? " 34:56 And He said: "I am Jesus whom you're persecuting. " 35:00 And he said: "What will You have me do? " 35:03 And He said: "Go on to Damascus and it will be shown you 35:07 what you shall do. " 35:09 And they led Saul by the hand, blind, to Damascus. 35:14 God spoke to a man by the name of Ananias in Damascus and said: 35:21 "Go pray for Saul that he may receive his sight. " 35:24 He prayed for him, and he was given his sight. 35:28 I want you to listen to what it says about Saul of Tarsus. 35:45 You want the date for that? 35:47 34 AD. 35:51 Just exactly as the scripture said 35:53 "seventy weeks are determined upon your people. " 35:56 And when that 70 weeks came to an end in 34 AD 35:59 the gospel went to the Gentiles... 36:02 just as God said it would. 36:05 Dear friend, I don't care who you are: 36:08 I don't care tonight if you're an atheist. 36:10 If you're an agnostic... if you're an infidel, 36:15 then all I ask... all I ask of you 36:20 is are you honest? 36:22 Are you intellectually honest? 36:24 If you are, answer those prophecies for me. 36:28 Show me where they don't hold up. 36:33 Tell me how anybody else 36:35 could be the Messiah except Jesus Christ. 36:39 He fulfilled it in every detail. 36:43 But the prophecy doesn't stop there, folks. 36:46 Gabriel's explaining how much? 36:50 Well, he's explaining 2,300. 36:54 You remember? That's what he's explaining. 36:56 So he's not just explaining the seventy weeks, 36:59 he's explaining the 2,300. 37:01 That seventy weeks was just part of the 2,300. 37:12 So he's explaining more than just seventy weeks. 37:18 OK, if we've got seventy weeks 37:21 and seventy weeks brought us to 34 AD, 37:25 then if I subtract... if I subtract 37:32 457 from 2,300, it takes me to? 37:39 1844 AD. 37:41 That's what I've got left. 37:44 Takes me to the date 1844 AD. 38:04 Also known as the cleansing of the sanctuary... 38:07 also known as the Day of Atonement. 38:11 OK? 38:12 On this day the high priest is going to go 38:17 into the most holy place. 38:19 He's going to appear into the presence of God. 38:22 Before God and the mercy seat 38:25 to plead and bear the sins of the children of Israel. 38:32 OK. That was known as the Day of Judgment. 38:37 OK? Known as the Day of Judgment. 38:40 Listen very carefully to what the book of Revelation says. 38:55 Now folks, it does not say is coming. 39:00 It doesn't say that. It says the hour of God's judgment 39:04 HAS COME. 39:06 OK? That's present tense. 39:09 HAS COME. 39:10 Let's look at another text. 39:12 Revelation 22 verse 10: 39:23 Follow very carefully now. 39:47 What do you think that's talking about? 39:49 That's judgment! 39:52 That's what it's talking about: judgment. 39:55 "He who is righteous, let him be righteous still; 39:58 he who is holy, let him be holy still. " 40:00 That's judgment. 40:01 Listen. It doesn't stop here: 40:15 Now dear friend, let me ask you something. 40:18 If Jesus brings His reward with Him, 40:21 then doesn't man have to have been judged? 40:24 You see, you can't very well 40:27 pass out reward and have the judgment later! 40:32 That wouldn't work... 40:33 so judgment has to have taken place. 40:38 So what the scripture is trying to tell you 40:41 is judgment began in 1844 AD. 40:45 Did you put it together? I hope so! 40:50 Speaking of the little horn. 40:52 Says his dominion would be taken away from him. 40:56 It was taken away from him when? 40:58 1798 AD. 41:01 And it says after his dominion was taken away from him 41:04 the court would be seated. 41:07 That means judgment would begin. 41:09 Judgment began in 1844 AD. Are you putting it together? 41:13 See how those prophesies all fit? 41:15 They dovetail together, dear friends. 41:39 Now I don't know... 41:41 I don't know where you are, dear friends. 41:43 I don't know spiritually where you are, 41:46 but let me tell you something. 41:49 The little horn: its dominion was taken away from it. 41:53 That's past. 41:55 1844 AD the judgment started. 41:58 It's been going on all this time. 42:01 Do you know what's next? 42:04 The saints are going to possess the kingdom. 42:08 Are you beginning to see where you are? 42:10 Beginning to understand where we are in the stream of time? 42:14 See, that's what it's telling you. 42:25 That's the time YOU are living in: 42:28 God's judgment hour. 42:30 When that judgment in heaven ends, 42:33 Jesus Christ is coming back. 42:35 That's what's happening. 42:38 That's what's going on. 42:39 So you've got 2,300 years. 42:41 That 2,300 years is broken into different parts 42:46 that began in 457 BC. 42:50 457 BC when Artaxerxes gave a decree 42:54 that the Jewish people should go back 42:56 and they became the nation... 457 BC. 42:58 And he said from that point seventy weeks were determined 43:01 upon Daniel's people... which was the Jewish people. 43:04 If you went seventy weeks or 490 years 43:08 from 457 BC will take you to 34 AD. 43:13 But he said: "Know therefore and understand 43:16 that from the going forth of the commandment to restore 43:18 and build Jerusalem unto Messiah the Prince 43:20 shall be seven weeks, three score and two weeks. " 43:23 So he broke up that 70 weeks and he gave you 69 weeks 43:27 unto Messiah the Prince. 43:29 So if you come 69 weeks or 483 years 43:33 from 457 BC, it will take you to 27 AD... 43:37 at which time Jesus was baptized, began His ministry. 43:42 Then it said He would confirm the covenant with many 43:45 for one week 43:47 and in the midst of the week He would cause the sacrifices 43:50 and ablations to cease. 43:51 So that 70th week was broken up into two parts. 43:56 Three and a half: that was the time of Christ's ministry... 44:01 from 27 AD to 31 AD. 44:03 Christ dies in 31 AD. 44:06 The sacrifices and ablations came to an end. 44:10 The Lamb of God died. 44:11 The last 3-1/2 weeks was from 31 AD to 34 AD... 44:16 at which time the gospel went to the Gentiles. 44:21 That brings us to 34 AD. 44:23 If I subtract 490 44:28 from 2,300, that leaves me 1810. 44:32 If I add 1810 to 34 AD, 44:38 that takes me to 1844 AD... 44:40 at which time the scripture says judgment would begin. 44:44 Now I want to share some good news with you tonight 44:47 about the judgment. 44:50 Dear friend, if you don't understand this, 44:53 if you can just get hold of this one fact... 44:57 if you can just believe this one fact... 45:00 what a difference it will make. Listen: 45:06 Oh, that's good news, isn't it? 45:08 God doesn't judge any of you. 45:10 He just doesn't do that. 45:16 Marvelous! 45:18 What more can you ask? 45:20 I mean, Jesus is the judge. 45:25 But dear friends, more than that: 45:27 He's not just the judge... He is also your representative. 45:32 And He came and took upon Himself humanity. 45:37 He lived like you; He understands our weaknesses. 45:40 Marvelous! 45:54 Tonight, do you want everlasting life? 46:00 Or maybe you're... maybe you're happy with this old world? 46:06 But if you'd like to have everlasting life, 46:12 all you have to do tonight is to believe... 46:16 believe in Jesus Christ. 46:20 Accept Him; give your heart to Him. 46:23 Surrender your life to Him. 46:25 He'll give you eternal life. 46:28 And listen to this, now folks. 46:30 Listen to this: 46:38 Marvelous! 46:40 You know... you know what that's saying? 46:42 That's saying that judgment's going on up in heaven tonight. 46:47 That started in 1844 AD and has been going on. 46:50 And it says that if you've given your heart to Jesus Christ 46:53 and your name comes up in the judgment, 46:56 do you know what happens? 46:57 Jesus stands up and says: "Father, 47:00 I will represent this person. 47:03 You see, Father, this person has accepted Me; 47:08 therefore, I will represent him. " 47:11 Now let me tell you something: 47:14 if Jesus Christ accepts your case, 47:19 you can't lose. 47:23 Marvelous! 47:25 Said: "I will plead My blood on behalf of this person, 47:30 Father. I died for that individual. 47:34 I lived a perfect life for him. 47:35 Father, accept him. " 47:39 You know what the scripture says? 47:41 It says in Ephesians that God accepts you 47:45 because of His Son. 47:47 Now He doesn't accept you 'cause you're good looking. See? 47:51 Or He doesn't accept you because you're smart. See? 47:56 He accepts you because of His Son, Jesus Christ. 48:00 Says: "Father, accept them. " 48:02 And the Father says: "Because You died for them, 48:05 I'll accept them. " 48:08 That's what He does for you and for me. 48:10 The Bible says there's several books that are used 48:13 in the judgment. 48:15 One of the books that's used in the judgment is 48:17 called the Book of Life. 48:19 Marvelous book... the Book of Life. 48:23 You know what you've got to do 48:25 to get your name in the Book of Life? 48:27 Huh? 48:29 Oh... just be good. 48:34 Does that get your name in the Book of Life? 48:37 No. You've got to accept Jesus Christ. 48:40 This is what the scripture says about it: 48:55 So when a person accepts Christ as his personal Savior 49:00 you name is entered in the Book of Life. 49:04 That's what gives Jesus the right to represent you. 49:09 When you name comes up in the judgment 49:12 they look in the Book of Life and they say: 49:13 "Oh, his name's right here. " And Christ can step up and say: 49:15 "Father, I plead My blood on behalf of this person. " 49:29 OK, there's two other books. 49:31 Another book called the Book of Remembrance. 49:34 You may not have known about that book. 49:37 You see, the Book of Remembrance 49:40 all the good things that you do 49:43 are recorded in the Book of Remembrance. 49:46 Listen. Malachi the 3rd chapter verse 16: 50:04 So it says all the good things that you and I do 50:08 are written down in the Book of Remembrance. 50:11 That's nice to know, isn't it. 50:15 Every good deed you do. 50:17 Every good word you say. 50:19 Every person you help. 50:22 That's all recorded in the books of heaven. 50:24 I don't have time to get into it tonight, 50:26 but do you know that every last one of you here - 50:30 I mean every last one of you - 50:33 whether you like it or whether you don't... 50:35 do you know that every one of you have an angel? 50:39 That angel keeps records... what he does. 50:43 OK. There's another book that's used. 50:48 That book is called the Book of Iniquity. 50:51 That's where all the sins... 50:55 all the bad things that you and I do... are recorded. 50:59 This is what it says: 51:14 So all the bad... all the bad things that we do 51:19 are written down, recorded. 51:24 You see, I used to believe that when you got to the judgment 51:29 they opened up the Book of Remembrance 51:31 and they opened up the Book of Iniquity 51:33 and if your good outweighed your bad, you made it. 51:36 But that's not the way it is. 51:39 That's not the way it is. 51:41 You see, there's something in the Bible called justification. 51:47 That when you accept Jesus Christ 51:51 it says that "He remembers your sins no more. " 51:57 See? And all the things that you and I have in the 52:01 Book of Iniquity... wiped out. 52:04 Remembered no more! 52:09 Now if there's some of you here tonight 52:11 who like the fellow said to me, 52:14 we were talking about the judgment and he said: 52:16 "Well, " he said, "when I get to heaven 52:18 to the judgment, " he said, 52:20 "I'm going to ask for justice. " 52:22 Not me! 52:25 I don't want justice... I want mercy. 52:29 See... I don't want justice. 52:31 I want mercy. 52:32 So, I want Jesus Christ's blood 52:37 to be in my place. 52:38 I want Him to cover all of my sins. 52:41 I don't want to have to face it 52:42 because I KNOW what I deserve. 52:45 Don't have any question about that. 52:47 This is what God will do for you: 53:08 So it says if you sin, you can come to Christ. 53:12 He's your Advocate; He'll plead your case. 53:23 Let me tell you quickly 53:25 what your responsibility and my responsibility is. 53:31 Your responsibility, dear friend, 53:33 is to accept Jesus Christ. 53:37 That's your part is to accept Him. 53:40 And every morning when you get up 53:43 to commit your life to Jesus Christ. 53:46 Then He will do His work in your life. 53:50 See? But I must every day 53:53 commit my life to Jesus Christ. 53:56 If I do that, He'll work in my life. 54:09 So tonight Jesus Christ is willing 54:12 to confess your name before His Father and the holy angels. 54:19 So the judgment is set. 54:22 God is inviting you and I to reach out in faith 54:27 and accept His Son Jesus Christ. 54:31 The judgment has set, 54:36 the books have been opened. 54:43 How shall we stand 54:46 on that great day? 54:53 When every word 54:57 and thought and action 55:04 God, the righteous judge, 55:11 shall weigh. 55:16 Three questions I want you to look at with me tonight. 55:20 First question says: 55:24 If tonight you would like to accept Christ's gift 55:28 of eternal life... You'd like to accept His 55:32 righteousness in your place, 55:34 then put a check by #1. 55:40 Second question says: 55:46 See, that's part of it. 55:49 I've got to be willing to let Jesus Christ give me a new life. 55:54 Change my life; make me different. 55:57 My responsibility is each morning 56:01 to surrender my life to Him 56:03 and let Him do His work in my life. 56:06 If you're willing to accept that gift of a new life, 56:09 then put a check by #2. 56:11 Third question: 56:17 Now let me explain something, folks. 56:19 I don't know of anything... 56:21 I know of absolutely nothing in this life 56:24 that gives you the opportunity to start over 56:29 except baptism. 56:31 Baptism is God's way in which He just wipes the slate 56:35 completely clean and lets you start brand new. 56:38 That's what He does for you. 56:40 How shall we stand 56:45 in that great day? 56:51 How shall we stand 56:56 in that great day? 57:04 Shall we be found 57:08 before Him 57:11 wanting? 57:15 Or with our sins 57:20 all washed 57:23 away? 57:29 Let's bow our heads for a word of prayer. 57:32 Father, we thank you 57:34 for the marvelous promises of Your Word. 57:37 Thankful that by accepting Jesus Christ 57:41 that we don't have to come into judgment. 57:49 To obtain a copy of this program or for more information, 57:52 please write to: |
