Welcome to a Taste of Paradise. My name is Evita Tezeno 00:00:14.98\00:00:18.28 And you know one of my favorite fruits is Mango. I love the rich 00:00:19.25\00:00:23.99 juiciness of a mango. And I was sitting down thinking one day 00:00:24.02\00:00:27.99 what can I pair it with to make it even more fabulous? 00:00:28.02\00:00:32.03 And I thought about pears. Now pears are not as sweet as mangos 00:00:32.06\00:00:36.93 so the real sweetness and the nice subtle taste of a pear 00:00:36.97\00:00:41.20 would be amazing. So today we're going to do a pear mango cobbler 00:00:41.24\00:00:47.38 And I'm telling you it is fabulous, it's delicious 00:00:47.41\00:00:50.91 And so let's read the recipe. 00:00:50.95\00:00:53.45 So we're gonna start by using our food processor 00:01:37.63\00:01:42.16 using the hazelnuts and this is going to be our flour. 00:01:42.20\00:01:45.17 Hazelnuts have a real nutty flavor and even though they're 00:01:45.20\00:01:50.27 not roasted they have a nice roasted flavor 00:01:50.31\00:01:53.04 and it's also a very good source of calcium. 00:01:53.07\00:01:57.05 So now we're going to do the cream. 00:02:25.01\00:02:27.28 And we have our almond milk 00:02:32.51\00:02:34.65 our mango 00:02:38.82\00:02:41.79 our dates and be sure to pit the dates we don't want any 00:02:46.16\00:02:51.20 pits in our dates. Vanilla extract. 00:02:51.23\00:02:56.60 And salt. 00:02:57.81\00:03:00.34 My dates of choice is Mejdool. I love Mejdool dates. 00:03:00.38\00:03:04.28 And then we're going to add our cashews. 00:03:24.73\00:03:27.14 Now if you want to make this nut free you can add 2 bananas 00:03:59.17\00:04:03.10 instead of using cashews. It will also make it very creamy. 00:04:03.14\00:04:08.68 I'll get this out of the way. 00:04:18.62\00:04:21.19 So we're gonna take our hazelnut flour and start to drizzle it 00:04:26.39\00:04:31.40 at the bottom of our pan. 00:04:31.43\00:04:33.23 And this one's a little chunky if you want a little finer 00:04:36.60\00:04:40.68 you have to just let your processor go a little longer. 00:04:40.71\00:04:44.18 And then we line our pears. 00:04:44.95\00:04:47.68 And there are so many different varieties of pears, I used 00:04:50.22\00:04:54.12 Bosc pears today. That's one of my favorite pears. 00:04:54.16\00:04:58.69 And then we put some of the cream 00:05:09.70\00:05:13.31 Real simple recipe 00:05:19.15\00:05:22.05 Then our mangos 00:05:29.06\00:05:34.63 And then some more cream 00:05:52.95\00:05:57.09 Just going to finish off the cream here. 00:06:01.02\00:06:03.59 Spread it all over 00:06:03.63\00:06:06.90 And you can either eat it right away or you can put it in the 00:06:08.83\00:06:13.34 refrigerator to chill it. 00:06:13.37\00:06:16.17 We'll take some more pears 00:06:25.91\00:06:28.78 So this is like, this is a layered cobbler. 00:06:37.06\00:06:41.83 Layered fruit cobbler. 00:06:41.86\00:06:43.30 And you could use thinly sliced apples if you want 00:06:44.87\00:06:50.97 It will be crunchy, nice 00:06:51.37\00:06:54.41 Sprinkle it with the hazelnut flour 00:06:56.85\00:07:02.58 And then we're gonna garnish it with some strawberries. 00:07:07.76\00:07:13.83 Now wasn't that quick and simple? 00:07:26.61\00:07:30.08 Very, very nice. You can either eat this for breakfast 00:07:32.21\00:07:35.62 or it can also be a dessert but, I'm gonna eat it for breakfast 00:07:35.65\00:07:43.36 Another fabulous recipe from the Taste of Paradise 00:07:43.39\00:07:47.23 And this is Evita Tezeno and remember to live life fresh! 00:07:47.26\00:07:52.47 Welcome back. We just saw a delicious meal prepared by Evita 00:07:58.84\00:08:04.21 That was good for the inside of the body not just tasty as well. 00:08:04.25\00:08:08.42 So today we're gonna focus because a lot of individuals 00:08:08.45\00:08:12.22 have enjoyed our presentations on the skin and facials and all 00:08:12.25\00:08:15.46 of that stuff. The funniest thing is you would think that 00:08:15.49\00:08:18.69 people would be so excited about food for the body and all 00:08:18.73\00:08:21.33 that and they are but when we talk about skin people go crazy 00:08:21.36\00:08:26.03 and they're excited, especially the ladies but guys we take care 00:08:26.07\00:08:29.17 of our skins too of course. So today it's called SOS 00:08:29.20\00:08:33.58 Yes, save me, help me save or excellent food for the skin 00:08:33.61\00:08:39.71 Save Our Skin is our topic today. 00:08:39.75\00:08:42.18 And what better way to talk about our skin than our own 00:08:42.22\00:08:45.89 skin expert, well she may not consider herself a skin expert 00:08:45.92\00:08:49.66 but the example itself will tell all of the story. So we want 00:08:49.69\00:08:54.76 to welcome our general manager. Amen, thank you so much for 00:08:54.80\00:08:58.63 comin over and hangin out with us here. Thank you Nyse, I'm so 00:08:58.67\00:09:01.94 happy to be here. Thank you for inviting me. She's usually 00:09:01.97\00:09:05.07 on call and ready to do it and I said, Come on out I don't know 00:09:05.11\00:09:08.54 if you've seen any of our other programs. You know we had a 00:09:08.58\00:09:11.88 chance to take her out and stuff well now she needs to help us 00:09:11.91\00:09:15.78 a little bit because we have our own, if I could say, Adventist 00:09:15.82\00:09:19.49 Vanessa Williams, Amen. Watch it now, dangerous. 00:09:19.52\00:09:22.82 But look, just look. It's ok to be an example, to show others 00:09:23.89\00:09:31.23 I'm sure you're not taking care of skin so you could be better 00:09:31.27\00:09:34.24 than the other ladies but just to be a good example and by 00:09:34.27\00:09:37.27 God's you've done that. So I said she gotta come on the show 00:09:37.31\00:09:40.28 Today, how are we gonna save our skin. We're gonna make 00:09:40.31\00:09:42.91 some soap. But the skin, how do you keep yours so beautiful 00:09:42.94\00:09:45.78 and vibrant? Well Praise the Lord. Actually the skin 00:09:45.81\00:09:51.35 you take care of the inside and the outside. 00:09:51.39\00:09:54.02 Crucial. It's what you eat and you're giving us some 00:09:54.06\00:09:56.79 great recipes on how to nourish the skin internally 00:09:56.83\00:10:00.83 and externally you have to do some things like moisturize 00:10:00.86\00:10:05.47 use the right cleanser and that kind of thing. You don't wanna 00:10:05.50\00:10:09.27 just put drying agents on the skin. Yes and that's vital 00:10:09.30\00:10:14.08 I mean, you're only turning 41 or 42 something like that, so 00:10:14.11\00:10:18.45 She could get away with it so, this is a great guy right here 00:10:18.48\00:10:21.42 Oh, amen amen. But you notice the key words, the moisturizer 00:10:21.45\00:10:25.25 is what works for you and a lot of times the reason why we need 00:10:25.29\00:10:29.02 so many moisturizers is because we're putting so many harmful 00:10:29.06\00:10:33.40 or very strong aggressive chemicals on the skin. Exactly 00:10:33.43\00:10:37.77 and we don't realize it. We go to the store and we buy things 00:10:37.80\00:10:40.77 and we think that, Ok this is ok to use. I mean it's here 00:10:40.80\00:10:43.74 on the shelf so it must be ok to use. But then you can tell 00:10:43.77\00:10:48.21 when you're using the wrong thing because your skin starts 00:10:48.24\00:10:50.68 to dry out immediately. I notice when I'm washing dishes 00:10:50.71\00:10:54.78 and stuff like that that my skin like cracks up literally. The 00:10:54.82\00:10:58.75 other day I was like, man I need gloves to wash dishes 00:10:58.79\00:11:01.32 and my friend was like, Are you a man or what? 00:11:01.36\00:11:03.79 I'm like, I just need to take care, I need to take care 00:11:03.83\00:11:06.39 of my skin because it cracks up and it's not a good feeling 00:11:06.43\00:11:09.70 That's because there's chemicals in there. It's the chemicals. 00:11:09.73\00:11:12.43 It's not natural stuff, it's chemicals. And so the reason 00:11:12.47\00:11:15.10 why a lot of individuals are drying out so often is because 00:11:15.14\00:11:18.61 they're putting chemicals on their skin. Matter of fact it's 00:11:18.64\00:11:21.88 in our soaps. You think you're actually cleansing when you're 00:11:21.91\00:11:25.71 actually only harming the skin. The other day I picked up a soap 00:11:25.75\00:11:29.98 item and I read the ingredients and when I started to see all 00:11:30.02\00:11:34.42 of the ingredients, phosphate blah, blah what language is this 00:11:34.46\00:11:40.26 What's the rule of thumb? If you can't pronounce it 00:11:40.30\00:11:44.07 don't buy it. When in doubt leave it out and so as I was 00:11:44.10\00:11:47.70 so I just put it down and you won't believe what happened 00:11:47.74\00:11:50.37 What? I literally took a shower for the next week just with 00:11:50.41\00:11:53.34 water and a cloth. It actually helped me to make sure I got 00:11:53.38\00:11:57.78 every part, you know what I mean because I was like I don't have 00:11:57.81\00:12:00.12 any soap or whatever but the problem is not always that we 00:12:00.15\00:12:02.85 need a soap item it's just that we don't want to harm the skin 00:12:02.88\00:12:06.42 So today, SOS. Save Our Skins Save Our Skins. 00:12:06.45\00:12:10.83 We're going to share a simple recipe that you can do to make 00:12:10.86\00:12:13.73 your own soap. Soap from scratch and this one you can't taste it 00:12:13.76\00:12:19.60 But allow your skin to taste it alright? So Save Our Skin, here 00:12:19.63\00:12:22.90 is the simple thing that you will need for our recipe here 00:12:22.94\00:12:26.57 today. Save Our Skin. 00:12:26.61\00:12:28.61 And so we can use any of these to make our own. What's your 00:13:04.58\00:13:09.78 favorite essence or herb or smell? You know what? I love 00:13:09.82\00:13:14.49 peppermint, I love orange, lemon, sandalwood. 00:13:14.52\00:13:20.23 Wow you picked the ones that we're actually gonna do here 00:13:20.26\00:13:23.37 So it's real simple how you get it. Now you did say 3 bars? 00:13:23.40\00:13:27.47 Right. You can buy them at the Arts and Crafts shop. 00:13:27.50\00:13:29.70 You see here, this is a whole, one I actually did half n half 00:13:29.74\00:13:34.04 Yeah, so this one is the Shea butter and this is just a clear 00:13:34.08\00:13:37.38 glycerin one as well. So you can see that there 00:13:37.41\00:13:41.22 We basically take this out now. This is the method that we're 00:13:41.25\00:13:44.49 using here is called the melt and pour. Ok. Melt and Pour 00:13:44.52\00:13:48.02 Because the other ones take quite a bit of time and we don't 00:13:48.06\00:13:50.66 have enough time to do that on the show and everybody 00:13:50.69\00:13:52.13 wants to rush, rush, rush. So what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna 00:13:52.16\00:13:54.56 take these out. I already cut them half and half and I'm gonna 00:13:54.60\00:13:58.53 do the first one here, yeah. And this is yours because 00:13:58.57\00:14:02.34 you're gonna make soap today also. Ok. So you just come out 00:14:02.37\00:14:05.41 here and look pretty and stuff you know, Lotta work. 00:14:05.44\00:14:08.38 She's been workin hard enough but a little extra. 00:14:08.41\00:14:10.91 Then you take one of these items or you just take a knife 00:14:10.95\00:14:13.62 I bought this at the Arts and Crafts, it's about $3-4. 00:14:13.65\00:14:16.32 What do you call it, do you know? I just call it a cutter. 00:14:16.35\00:14:18.69 There's no special name for it. I'm not a soap making expert. 00:14:18.72\00:14:22.16 Yeah it's a little cutter and it's cool but like I said 00:14:22.19\00:14:24.93 you can take a knife because it's not hard and here it is 00:14:24.96\00:14:28.33 Just press down and it goes all the way through 00:14:28.36\00:14:30.93 We'll do that again. We'll just press down all the way through 00:14:30.97\00:14:35.50 And why we're cutting it is because we have to melt it 00:14:35.54\00:14:38.87 right? And if it's just like that in the bar then it's not 00:14:38.91\00:14:42.41 gonna melt properly. So we're trying to make it a little 00:14:42.44\00:14:44.65 bit smaller and we'll add those up, so are you ready? 00:14:44.68\00:14:48.42 You're ready to try yours? Oh yes I'm ready. 00:14:48.45\00:14:50.42 You go ahead and you do the same thing. 00:14:50.45\00:14:52.69 I'm not the queen of this ok. I'm not great. You're not the 00:14:52.72\00:14:55.66 Soap Queen? No, I'm not the Soap Queen. 00:14:55.69\00:14:57.83 The soap make yourself, you got it. Here it is. Ok, ok. 00:14:57.86\00:15:00.76 I'm gonna put that in here. I'm feeling very accomplished now. 00:15:00.80\00:15:04.40 Wow look at that. You're keepin us movin here on air so you've 00:15:04.43\00:15:08.97 done quite a bit. Now you're gonna cut it again into small 00:15:09.00\00:15:11.67 squares. Ok. And so this is some thing you can do. When I found 00:15:11.71\00:15:16.18 out about this, I'm like this is cool I have to do, it I have to. 00:15:16.21\00:15:19.81 This is so neat, even I can do this. Anybody no? Absolutely. 00:15:19.85\00:15:24.85 Well you're here today and you are doing something good. Now 00:15:24.89\00:15:27.86 we have to melt it of course, right? Now you can do a double 00:15:27.89\00:15:31.66 boiler, basically you take two pots, one with hot water and 00:15:31.69\00:15:35.53 another one there that takes a little bit of time. So if you're 00:15:35.56\00:15:38.87 know what it is, I have a microwave here, and I know you 00:15:38.90\00:15:41.10 hate the microwave. I don't use the microwave, yeah and so 00:15:41.14\00:15:44.37 it comes with the house some times and I'm like, why? 00:15:44.41\00:15:46.47 Can I get my money back or something because I do not use 00:15:46.51\00:15:48.71 microwave but in this case for time purposes we're just gonna 00:15:48.74\00:15:51.88 use it for that. So you basically set it for 30 seconds 00:15:51.91\00:15:55.62 or one minute. You don't want to set it too long. 00:15:55.65\00:15:58.52 You're trying to get it to melt right? Because sometimes 00:15:58.55\00:16:01.39 you set it too long it will burn Ahh.. right, so here we go 00:16:01.42\00:16:04.89 So I'm just going to start this this is for about one minute 00:16:04.93\00:16:07.66 So it's just the glycerin in there, right? Yeah. Basically 00:16:07.70\00:16:11.60 And you melt it so it's more malleable. Yes. Something you 00:16:11.63\00:16:16.04 can work with. So we can use it correct. So we just wanna melt 00:16:16.07\00:16:19.81 it and it's gonna become like a liquid there. And then once it 00:16:19.84\00:16:22.51 becomes like a liquid we can add our ingredients and then 00:16:22.54\00:16:25.38 it congeals back once it gets cool again at regular temps 00:16:25.41\00:16:29.08 So when you put it in the double boiler, is it like 00:16:29.12\00:16:33.89 steaming it or, well the heat from the double boiler 00:16:33.92\00:16:38.09 the heat from it will start to melt it. And so you just have 00:16:38.13\00:16:41.96 to be really quick with it. And it takes a little bit of time 00:16:42.00\00:16:46.03 you know it takes a little bit longer and we didn't have the 00:16:46.07\00:16:48.60 chance to do that here but that would be the 'Ideal". 00:16:48.64\00:16:51.24 I don't know about this thing, I'm holding my breath right now 00:16:51.27\00:16:54.14 I'm gonna find out, I'm just kidding with you all. 00:16:54.18\00:16:56.34 But I don't use the microwave in general so it's better to just 00:16:56.38\00:17:00.05 go ahead and warm up your food on a stove or somethin 00:17:00.08\00:17:04.55 of that nature. And our viewers need to know that if you use 00:17:04.59\00:17:07.16 the microwave do not stand in front of it. Yes. Do not stand 00:17:07.19\00:17:11.19 in front of the microwave. But it's better to not use it at all 00:17:11.23\00:17:14.13 Here it is, it's starting to melt a little bit so I'm just 00:17:14.16\00:17:16.23 checkin and we're going to do it again for another minute 00:17:16.26\00:17:19.03 it just takes a little bit of time. We're gonna melt it again 00:17:19.07\00:17:23.07 Now the key is why we're doin this, the largest organ of the 00:17:23.10\00:17:28.44 body is the skin. And we're feedin the heart 00:17:28.48\00:17:33.11 and we're feedin this and feedin that, 00:17:33.15\00:17:34.92 we need to take better care of the skin. Absolutely. So this 00:17:34.95\00:17:39.02 That's because the skin both absorbs and it also secretes 00:17:39.05\00:17:44.36 Yes, so you want the pores to be open so that there is this 00:17:44.39\00:17:49.53 transfer. The toxins come out and the nutrients can go in. 00:17:49.56\00:17:54.64 Ah man, you heard it from the beauty skin queen herself, yeah? 00:17:54.67\00:17:59.64 So it does both jobs and so we have to make sure that we 00:17:59.67\00:18:04.21 are taking care of it as much as possible. So this is melting 00:18:04.25\00:18:09.02 here and let's see we have a couple more, and what's gonna 00:18:09.05\00:18:12.65 happen? We gotta move quick now. Soon as it comes out we're 00:18:12.69\00:18:16.42 going to add some, so let's do mint, and maybe lemon 00:18:16.46\00:18:20.00 so we have our essence there. Alright, let's see. 00:18:20.03\00:18:24.07 Alright here it is. It's starting to melt already. 00:18:25.57\00:18:28.24 So here it is, if you all can take a quick look. I'm just 00:18:28.27\00:18:31.04 going to mix it. As you can see some of it is still, you don't 00:18:31.07\00:18:33.94 have to melt all of it cause you're just tryin to get in 00:18:33.98\00:18:36.21 the flavors. So let's add a couple of items. Let's go 00:18:36.24\00:18:39.25 with the peppermint extract there. So we're going to pour 00:18:39.28\00:18:43.22 that in, and how much? Ah about a tablespoon or so. 00:18:43.25\00:18:48.12 Just go ahead, you know add a little extra. Ok. You know why 00:18:48.16\00:18:51.36 our soaps smell the way they do because so much perfumes 00:18:51.39\00:18:56.93 and stuff was added to it right? So I'm going to mix it up 00:18:56.97\00:19:01.14 And then let me get this going so this can start melting in 00:19:01.17\00:19:03.91 the process. Oh good. Yeah. You have this one here so 00:19:03.94\00:19:07.64 let's do that and then we're going to add some actual 00:19:07.68\00:19:10.71 peppermint leaves to that. So let's bring that over 00:19:10.75\00:19:14.92 and then you just take off a couple of those leaves there 00:19:14.95\00:19:18.19 and you should be good. And I'm going to put this in the 00:19:19.15\00:19:21.46 microwave in the meantime. Ok so do I just add the leaves 00:19:21.49\00:19:25.39 tear them or, oh just add them. You can tear them if you want 00:19:25.43\00:19:30.27 Ok. That maybe good as well. 00:19:30.30\00:19:34.27 You add it there, now you gotta get it rolling 00:19:37.21\00:19:39.97 Smell it a little bit, Yeah. 00:19:40.01\00:19:42.04 We have peppermint. You want more? 00:19:42.08\00:19:45.28 Yes, let's load it up, load it up. This is why we want 00:19:45.31\00:19:48.38 to grow our own herbs and stuff so we can add it. You 00:19:48.42\00:19:51.42 smell it already, right? If you even crush it up that 00:19:51.45\00:19:54.36 may come out but this is gonna look cool, it's going to be good 00:19:54.39\00:19:57.93 for you and it's actually gonna help the skin. I can put some 00:19:57.96\00:20:00.93 ice in there and drink it. Ha ha 00:20:00.96\00:20:03.67 I know it'll taste of paradise animal paradise, right? 00:20:05.47\00:20:09.30 Alright, so. You want more? Load it up. 00:20:09.34\00:20:12.84 You're gonna be taking a shower with this stuff. Ok. 00:20:12.87\00:20:15.01 You want the shower to smell good, the skin to smell good 00:20:15.04\00:20:19.35 as well. For sure. You can add different essences, whatever 00:20:19.38\00:20:22.95 is your favorite, you can add those to it. 00:20:22.98\00:20:25.05 Look at that. That should be good. Oh man, you done poor 00:20:26.12\00:20:30.83 poor peppermint plant. Look at that, it's looking kinda 00:20:30.86\00:20:35.46 messed up there but that's fine it'll grow back, yeah? 00:20:35.50\00:20:38.30 So we'll get a couple more in there. 00:20:39.13\00:20:41.70 You know what'll be cool? If you throw in the stem, ah good 00:20:42.47\00:20:45.21 You want the stem? No, if you had it, if you had it. This is 00:20:45.24\00:20:49.68 starting to get tight now. Or starting to congeal, so what 00:20:49.71\00:20:54.38 we're going to do is we have to add it to our moulds now. 00:20:54.42\00:20:57.69 And then that's almost done. So, yeah you see it? So let's 00:20:57.72\00:21:02.32 do two here and two there and let's. You get these from the 00:21:02.36\00:21:04.79 craft store as well? Yes you get those from the craft store 00:21:04.83\00:21:07.60 Oh this is so neat. Oh look at yours. Oh. It's hot though 00:21:07.63\00:21:11.83 So here you're gonna start mixing that. And here's what 00:21:11.87\00:21:15.64 I'm gonna do cause mine is getting tight you see that there 00:21:15.67\00:21:18.17 So I'm going to pour mine. Into moulds? Into the mould. So I'm 00:21:18.21\00:21:22.44 gonna do a square mould and I'm going to do one square mould 00:21:22.48\00:21:28.65 and let's do a big mould here 00:21:29.55\00:21:34.22 Uh Oh. See this one I took a little long, and then 00:21:35.52\00:21:39.13 and one more, let's do a little one. 00:21:40.83\00:21:43.77 Ok, so the quicker once we get that out of the microwave 00:21:43.80\00:21:47.97 we gotta keep it moving. Yes you can't play around because 00:21:48.00\00:21:50.77 look it's already done and you probably have to melt it again 00:21:50.81\00:21:53.74 and do all of that stuff. Mine's little ugly but hey it's gonna 00:21:53.78\00:21:58.21 melt away, so. You have that there look it's already starting 00:21:59.45\00:22:02.32 to dry. Uh huh. So what do you have? You have that one. Let's 00:22:02.35\00:22:06.49 put some different flavors on that. Ok 00:22:06.52\00:22:08.86 So what are we gonna do? We can put some tea tree maybe or 00:22:08.89\00:22:12.46 lemon and orange. What flavor do you want? 00:22:12.49\00:22:15.23 Little citrusy. Little citrusy. So this is gonna be our citrus 00:22:15.26\00:22:17.67 one. So you can add that and I'm going to like literally 00:22:17.70\00:22:22.10 grate, I'm going to grate an orange. Ooh. 00:22:22.14\00:22:27.48 Oh she loaded that one up. So here it is. I'm just going to 00:22:27.51\00:22:31.65 grate this in. Just the zest yeah? And actually the coolest 00:22:31.68\00:22:37.25 thing is, is the mixture starting to get tight? 00:22:37.29\00:22:39.79 Uh Oh. We gotta hurry up. 00:22:39.82\00:22:41.82 The coolest thing is when you do this the color starts to change 00:22:44.89\00:22:48.73 adds color a little bit as well and you're gonna be taking a 00:22:48.76\00:22:52.83 shower with all natural, this is literally all natural. D'you add 00:22:52.87\00:22:56.77 a little tea tree to it too? Do you want to add tea tree, that's 00:22:56.81\00:22:59.27 fine. A little antiseptic kinda thing. Look at that! 00:22:59.31\00:23:02.51 We've got doctors in the house. Tea tree. Ok so you have that 00:23:02.54\00:23:06.41 Is it getting thick, do we need to start pouring? 00:23:06.45\00:23:08.32 I think that's good enough. 00:23:08.35\00:23:10.99 Poor orange, we took all the zest from it. 00:23:12.95\00:23:15.02 And then it should be, how are we doing? Yeah. 00:23:16.42\00:23:18.86 We're doing ok, it's getting thick. 00:23:18.89\00:23:21.70 It's getting thick, uh oh. We may need to put it back in the 00:23:21.73\00:23:25.53 microwave or something. But here let's see if we can squeeze it 00:23:25.57\00:23:29.34 in. I'll put that in. Oh we got some peppermint in there 00:23:29.37\00:23:32.37 Let me see. Oh we were supposed to pour but we'll work with it. 00:23:32.41\00:23:36.78 Have mercy Lord. Good thing we made one in advance. 00:23:36.81\00:23:39.15 Yeah. Ha ha ha. So here it is. That's one there. 00:23:39.18\00:23:43.32 Let's do another square one. It smells so good. 00:23:43.35\00:23:46.49 This one doesn't look as good but it's gonna smell good. Oh. 00:23:46.52\00:23:50.66 Have mercy. So here it is. That one is really thick. 00:23:50.69\00:23:53.90 I mean that's really nice. It looks like whipped cream 00:23:53.93\00:23:57.47 And we'll pour it in a bit. It got really thick on us. 00:24:01.40\00:24:05.87 So normally you wanna do it while it's real liquidy 00:24:05.91\00:24:09.11 and stuff. And if it gets thick you heat it again? You just 00:24:09.14\00:24:12.98 put it right back in and heat it again one more time and it'll 00:24:13.01\00:24:17.09 melt for you yeah? so this one it's, they usually say it's 00:24:17.12\00:24:21.52 fabulous, you know what I'm talkin about alright 00:24:21.56\00:24:23.49 this is the fabulous version. But the more you do it at home 00:24:23.53\00:24:26.76 and spend some time it will come out really good. 00:24:26.80\00:24:29.40 So lemme show it. You take this and it sets so quick 00:24:29.43\00:24:32.50 We'll take this and put it out of the way 00:24:32.53\00:24:34.24 I've already done some here for you. 00:24:34.27\00:24:37.14 Look at that. It's gonna melt when you start taking a bath 00:24:37.17\00:24:40.71 anyway and then we have a nice little finished product. 00:24:40.74\00:24:45.25 Let's talk a little bit about this here. 00:24:45.28\00:24:47.05 So here you go. This is how it's supposed to come out. 00:24:47.08\00:24:50.55 That is so neat. So this is the one you made. You made this one 00:24:50.59\00:24:54.56 And this is the, I want to smell em. Smell em 00:24:54.59\00:24:57.16 So you have, mine is really peppermint. Uh huh. 00:24:57.19\00:25:00.76 smelling and look you even have the little herbs and stuff 00:25:00.80\00:25:04.23 you can check that out. How neat! 00:25:04.27\00:25:06.47 Ah this smells so good. Is it alright? Peppermint is so good. 00:25:07.40\00:25:10.87 If you have a headache you can put some essential oils of 00:25:10.91\00:25:14.01 peppermint oil on your temples and now you can bathe with it 00:25:14.04\00:25:17.88 as well. You can bathe with it so that's why we can use the 00:25:17.91\00:25:20.35 lavender so it's soothing, that works well. You can also put 00:25:20.38\00:25:27.26 some coconut. We want to make some really from scratch. 00:25:27.29\00:25:30.93 Here we thought like a part of it but you wanna use some 00:25:30.96\00:25:34.26 coconut, some Shea butter. There's different ways you can 00:25:34.30\00:25:38.40 make some of these recipes or something like that. 00:25:38.43\00:25:43.30 And it builds in the moisturizer Now does this lather well cause 00:25:43.34\00:25:47.84 I like bubbles and stuff. 00:25:47.88\00:25:49.58 We know who's takin a bath all the time. 00:25:50.65\00:25:52.98 You know they don't build houses with tubs any more. 00:25:53.01\00:25:57.02 Everything is like stand up shower because society is like 00:25:57.05\00:25:59.35 causing you to run, run, run. 00:25:59.39\00:26:00.92 We need to take some time and go and shower and yes, it 00:26:00.96\00:26:05.56 actually does lather very well. So you'll enjoy this. 00:26:05.59\00:26:09.36 And the reason why we want to start doing our own soap 00:26:09.40\00:26:11.77 is because regular soaps they have parabens and a whole bunch 00:26:11.80\00:26:16.44 of additional items. They're basically chemicals. 00:26:16.47\00:26:19.14 That's right. So I mean just read the ingredients 00:26:19.17\00:26:22.04 and it's just chemicals. Just stuff that's supposed to be 00:26:22.08\00:26:26.41 taking care of the skin and you're pouring chemicals on 00:26:26.45\00:26:28.45 your skin. You're rubbing chemicals on your skin. 00:26:28.48\00:26:30.52 You're like man, I'm so dry. And remember the skin absorbs 00:26:30.55\00:26:34.32 Yes, so it takes in those chemicals. 00:26:34.36\00:26:37.03 You don't want your body to kind of process those chemicals 00:26:37.06\00:26:41.66 This is true. So you have your body taking in some of these 00:26:41.70\00:26:44.53 chemicals and because they are chemicals what are they doing? 00:26:44.57\00:26:47.44 They're leaching your body of natural oils and moisture 00:26:47.47\00:26:51.47 that God has already put in there. I wanna try something. 00:26:51.51\00:26:55.24 I think if we hydrate very well and stay away because a lot of 00:26:55.28\00:26:59.41 people have irritations and allergies and all of these items 00:26:59.45\00:27:03.59 it plays a part because a simple soap and stuff that we're using 00:27:03.62\00:27:10.09 I worked with one gentleman, his child was really breakin out 00:27:10.13\00:27:13.93 really bad and he was like he's eating good. You see milk causes 00:27:13.96\00:27:17.40 the reaction and come to find out he wasn't using any of them 00:27:17.43\00:27:21.24 And what was the problem? They were using aggressive soap. 00:27:21.27\00:27:24.31 They were giving the baby, not the baby but they were washing 00:27:24.34\00:27:27.34 the baby with this soap that they thought was good but when 00:27:27.38\00:27:30.78 they started to read the ingredients it was like, wow 00:27:30.81\00:27:33.78 Hmm, it was trouble, trouble trouble. 00:27:33.82\00:27:36.05 And once they stopped and started using something more 00:27:36.08\00:27:39.02 natural, guess they have baby soaps and stuff now 00:27:39.05\00:27:41.16 the problem went away and the irritation was not a problem 00:27:41.19\00:27:44.39 anymore. So here it is. You have your simple Save Our Skin 00:27:44.43\00:27:49.10 recipes that can help you to save our skin 00:27:49.13\00:27:52.03 and then maybe one day we can look like her. 00:27:52.07\00:27:54.37 Simple recipes that you can enjoy.
