00:00:33.40\00:00:35.63 He is such a wonderful Father. 00:00:35.66\00:00:38.00 And I have been thinking about the wonderful gifts 00:00:38.03\00:00:41.30 that He has given us. 00:00:41.34\00:00:42.80 He has given us such array of fruits and vegetables, 00:00:42.84\00:00:46.04 all different types of colors, it's just amazing. 00:00:46.07\00:00:49.71 And I was walking through the supermarket the other day, 00:00:49.74\00:00:52.88 and I was just looking at all the array of colors 00:00:52.91\00:00:57.25 and just smelling the different 00:00:57.29\00:00:59.99 aromas of the vegetables and fruit, 00:01:00.02\00:01:02.12 and I came across the cabbage. 00:01:02.16\00:01:04.09 Now a lot of people don't talk about cabbage 00:01:04.13\00:01:06.53 because it's an underrated vegetable. 00:01:06.56\00:01:09.66 But the cabbage is amazing. 00:01:09.70\00:01:11.87 It has internal healing properties as well as 00:01:11.90\00:01:15.24 external healing properties. 00:01:15.27\00:01:17.84 It is good for skin eruptions 00:01:17.87\00:01:20.48 or inflammations as eczema or psoriasis. 00:01:20.51\00:01:24.25 And internally, it's good for, 00:01:24.28\00:01:27.42 if you have any ulcers 00:01:27.45\00:01:29.58 or any other inflammations inside. 00:01:29.62\00:01:32.45 So cabbage is fantastic, 00:01:32.49\00:01:35.16 so we're gonna do a Cabbage Salad today, 00:01:35.19\00:01:37.49 that not only is nutritionally good for you, 00:01:37.53\00:01:41.06 but also touts a very good flavor. 00:01:41.10\00:01:44.33 Let's go to the recipe. 00:01:44.37\00:01:46.03 So here is our cabbage 00:02:35.98\00:02:39.45 which is finely chopped 00:02:39.49\00:02:42.66 and this is a really quick recipe. 00:02:42.69\00:02:44.76 Everything that is in this recipe 00:02:44.79\00:02:47.50 can be obtained from the grocery store. 00:02:47.53\00:02:49.33 Maybe the yeast flakes, 00:02:49.36\00:02:52.90 may not be able to be bought at the grocery store, 00:02:52.93\00:02:58.04 but mostly you could run out and you could do this today. 00:02:58.07\00:03:04.05 And we have our radishes. 00:03:04.08\00:03:06.25 And this is, I call this a power packed vitamin C salad 00:03:06.28\00:03:10.12 because cabbage is really rich in vitamin C 00:03:10.15\00:03:13.72 and also radish is real rich in vitamin C as well. 00:03:13.76\00:03:19.53 Now you can use red onions 00:03:19.56\00:03:22.20 but if you don't like red onions, 00:03:22.23\00:03:23.57 you could use a green onions 00:03:23.60\00:03:26.94 'cause they have a little milder taste. 00:03:26.97\00:03:30.44 So all we're doing is just palling all the vegetables 00:03:30.47\00:03:35.21 in a really nice in a bowl. 00:03:35.24\00:03:38.08 And if you don't like jalapenos, peppers, 00:03:38.11\00:03:40.92 you don't have to have them 00:03:40.95\00:03:42.28 but they also are rich in vitamin C as well. 00:03:42.32\00:03:45.55 And they also help rev up your metabolism as well. 00:03:45.59\00:03:49.56 And I love the little spice in the jalapenos. 00:03:49.59\00:03:53.29 And then we have a avocado. 00:03:56.20\00:03:57.77 And I love avocado. 00:04:01.24\00:04:04.11 It is a healthy fat... 00:04:04.14\00:04:06.27 and it makes you full as well. 00:04:09.14\00:04:11.28 So if you need, 00:04:11.31\00:04:13.11 you're not quiet full 00:04:13.15\00:04:14.98 when you're eating a salad, put some avocado in it, 00:04:15.02\00:04:18.69 and it will give you that extra fullness, 00:04:18.72\00:04:21.99 without weighing you down. 00:04:22.02\00:04:23.63 So we're just gonna chop this up, 00:04:23.66\00:04:26.03 just real quickly. 00:04:26.06\00:04:27.56 I'm making a mess here. 00:04:31.83\00:04:34.10 But isn't food better when it's messy? 00:07:02.95\00:07:06.09 Well, today, we're gonna learn 00:07:06.12\00:07:07.46 some of the simple basic principles 00:07:07.49\00:07:09.69 about the importance of juice 00:07:09.72\00:07:11.89 and maybe the drawbacks of even juicing. 00:07:11.93\00:07:15.00 But let us stop here real quick. 00:07:15.03\00:07:17.00 We all love some juice. 00:07:17.03\00:07:18.40 I enjoy some 100% grape juice once in a while, 00:07:18.43\00:07:22.40 I know you do, too. 00:07:22.44\00:07:23.77 And matter of fact, even a Bible talks about juice. 00:07:23.81\00:07:25.67 Yes, the Bible talks about juice, 00:07:25.71\00:07:27.34 and it shows us that juice is a special item, 00:07:27.38\00:07:30.18 a nice little sweetie as some people would say 00:07:30.21\00:07:32.95 that we can have them in special occasions. 00:07:32.98\00:07:35.38 One person even said, "Jesus himself loves juice." 00:07:35.42\00:07:38.95 Yes, you remember when He hung out 00:07:38.99\00:07:40.66 at that wedding? 00:07:40.69\00:07:42.02 They ran out of the wine aka juice, 00:07:42.06\00:07:44.83 and ultimately, 00:07:44.86\00:07:46.19 you remember what his mom said, his mom said, 00:07:46.23\00:07:48.16 "Do whatever He says, 00:07:48.20\00:07:49.60 and we'll get some juice again." 00:07:49.63\00:07:51.53 And even Jesus was like, "Hold on, Mom, 00:07:51.57\00:07:53.40 I like the juice." 00:07:53.44\00:07:54.77 Now this is the Nyse international version. 00:07:54.80\00:07:56.74 But, man, please, this is not my time. 00:07:56.77\00:07:59.41 But even Jesus listened to his mom 00:07:59.44\00:08:00.98 and what did he do? 00:08:01.01\00:08:02.34 He turned the water into juice. 00:08:02.38\00:08:04.21 Juice is for special occasions. 00:08:04.25\00:08:06.51 So today, we're gonna look at is juice really 00:08:06.55\00:08:10.72 the coolest smoothest thing to do. 00:08:10.75\00:08:13.15 I know there is a lot of fast, 00:08:13.19\00:08:14.52 there is now juice diets going on, 00:08:14.56\00:08:16.52 and everybody is going crazy, and it works for this 00:08:16.56\00:08:18.89 and it works for that, but at the end of the day, 00:08:18.93\00:08:21.36 is it really something that works? 00:08:21.40\00:08:23.43 What happens is when a person goes on aka juice fast, 00:08:23.47\00:08:27.50 the body now starts to use up 00:08:27.54\00:08:29.84 a lot of its glycogen stores, why? 00:08:29.87\00:08:32.34 Because now juice doesn't have any carbohydrates, 00:08:32.37\00:08:35.41 it doesn't, it's very low in calories as well. 00:08:35.44\00:08:38.48 So when a person does a juice fast 00:08:38.51\00:08:40.28 over a short period of time, 00:08:40.32\00:08:41.65 they use a lot of what is known as water weight. 00:08:41.68\00:08:44.39 So after two, three, four days 00:08:44.42\00:08:45.95 or what they do a seventh day plan, then voila, 00:08:45.99\00:08:49.12 "Wow, I just lost 10 pounds." 00:08:49.16\00:08:51.06 But what happens as soon as they eat something again, 00:08:51.09\00:08:54.33 maybe something that has carbs or calories 00:08:54.36\00:08:56.53 or something of the nature 00:08:56.56\00:08:57.90 'cause you can't do juicing forever. 00:08:57.93\00:08:59.27 What happens? 00:08:59.30\00:09:00.64 Bam, the weight comes right back. 00:09:00.67\00:09:02.07 So is juicing the best thing, it has its purpose, 00:09:02.10\00:09:05.61 and let's look at the Bible what it says again. 00:09:05.64\00:09:07.54 It says that you can use it for special occasions, 00:09:07.58\00:09:09.58 weddings, festivals, feasts. 00:09:09.61\00:09:11.18 Some of us we already celebrated 00:09:11.21\00:09:13.08 three weddings today alone. 00:09:13.11\00:09:15.12 Ten feasts this week, 00:09:15.15\00:09:16.82 but what did they drink every other day of the gear? 00:09:16.85\00:09:19.22 They drank what? Water. 00:09:19.25\00:09:20.99 When else did the Bible talk about juice? 00:09:21.02\00:09:22.92 When you're not feeling too well, 00:09:22.96\00:09:24.53 so maybe if somebody is dealing with a ill, 00:09:24.56\00:09:27.20 cold or flu, maybe a disease or something, 00:09:27.23\00:09:30.80 they can use a little juice to do, what? 00:09:30.83\00:09:32.67 Boost a body back with vitamins and minerals and antioxidants. 00:09:32.70\00:09:36.60 And then after that 00:09:36.64\00:09:37.97 what is the best thing we should do? 00:09:38.01\00:09:39.34 Go back to the food and drink what again, everybody? 00:09:39.37\00:09:41.44 Water. 00:09:41.48\00:09:42.81 Water is what God gave us, so let's enjoy that. 00:09:42.84\00:09:45.38 So are we saying juicing is good or bad? 00:09:45.41\00:09:47.98 What I say is let's find a balance, 00:09:48.02\00:09:49.88 use it for special occasions as I did tell you, 00:09:49.92\00:09:52.35 it does have antioxidants. 00:09:52.39\00:09:54.06 So if an individual is using so much antioxidants 00:09:54.09\00:09:57.06 all everyday of the week, what happens when we're sick, 00:09:57.09\00:09:59.96 and a body needs a little boost of vitamins and minerals? 00:10:00.00\00:10:02.70 The body looks at that juice again and says, 00:10:02.73\00:10:04.33 "Whoa, I've seen you all week already, 00:10:04.37\00:10:07.10 you're not gonna help me anymore or less." 00:10:07.14\00:10:09.44 So the best thing is always eat your food 00:10:09.47\00:10:12.37 instead of drinking your food. 00:10:12.41\00:10:14.08 But juice is a good thing 00:10:14.11\00:10:15.44 and so today we're gonna look at 00:10:15.48\00:10:16.81 how to prepare some simple healthy 00:10:16.85\00:10:20.62 juice recipe 00:10:20.65\00:10:21.98 or maybe even a smoothie as well, 00:10:22.02\00:10:24.79 that will be beneficial for you 00:10:24.82\00:10:26.76 and for me on special occasions. 00:10:26.79\00:10:28.12 So come with me to the kitchen, 00:10:28.16\00:10:29.49 while we prepare some of this nice, 00:10:29.52\00:10:32.26 one of my favorite recipes for helping us 00:10:32.29\00:10:34.60 is the Green Super Juice, what is it called? 00:16:13.07\00:16:16.10 I know, you'll are thinking about it. 00:16:16.14\00:16:17.47 You like to just juice or whatever. 00:16:17.51\00:16:18.97 And here it is the natural valve 00:16:19.01\00:16:21.34 that God has given us, 00:16:21.38\00:16:23.08 if you all can see here is fiber. 00:16:23.11\00:16:26.75 Yes, fiber. 00:16:26.78\00:16:28.48 I remember, my mom, she had cancer 00:16:28.52\00:16:31.05 and the Lord blessed her, 00:16:31.09\00:16:33.36 she made some changes in her lifestyle, 00:16:33.39\00:16:35.22 and she got over her cancer, right? 00:16:35.26\00:16:37.23 So she called me the other day, she says, 00:16:37.26\00:16:39.69 you're going all around the world, 00:16:39.73\00:16:41.33 help our people to balance their blessings, you know, 00:16:41.36\00:16:43.87 aka it you know, lose weight, 00:16:43.90\00:16:45.53 to balance their weight. 00:16:45.57\00:16:46.90 And she says, you're not helping me. 00:16:46.94\00:16:48.50 And she says, I know I'm a little over blessed, 00:16:48.54\00:16:50.61 but help me. 00:16:50.64\00:16:51.97 I said, "Mom, I can't help you 'cause you don't listen." 00:16:52.01\00:16:54.48 You know, it's really cool as parents age a little bit, 00:16:54.51\00:16:57.21 you know, the table start to turn a little bit, 00:16:57.25\00:17:00.12 but you know it doesn't turn too much 00:17:00.15\00:17:01.58 'cause if mom is upset, 00:17:01.62\00:17:02.95 would you, you do something wrong, 00:17:02.98\00:17:04.32 she'll still give you spanking. 00:17:04.35\00:17:05.69 But I said, "You don't listen, you have a hardhead, Mom." 00:17:05.72\00:17:07.82 And she says, "Okay, I'll listen." 00:17:07.86\00:17:09.46 I said, "What are you doing? 00:17:09.49\00:17:10.83 Are you exercising, are you doing this? 00:17:10.86\00:17:12.43 Are you doing that?" And she says yes. 00:17:12.46\00:17:14.50 "Are you eating well?" She says yes. 00:17:14.53\00:17:16.23 I said, "What about juices and stuff of that nature?" 00:17:16.26\00:17:19.23 She says, "Well, I'm juicing. 00:17:19.27\00:17:20.64 I said, "Why are you still juicing? 00:17:20.67\00:17:22.47 She said, "It healed me of cancer." 00:17:22.50\00:17:25.41 Let's call a timeout, everybody. 00:17:25.44\00:17:27.58 Juice is good. 00:17:27.61\00:17:28.94 It has a lot of vitamins and minerals. 00:17:28.98\00:17:30.31 But there is no healing power in the juice. 00:17:30.35\00:17:32.95 Healing only comes from who? 00:17:32.98\00:17:34.42 God. 00:17:34.45\00:17:35.78 He blesses us when we are faithful, 00:17:35.82\00:17:37.82 when we listen and are obedient and we take care of our body. 00:17:37.85\00:17:41.32 The reason why people get better 00:17:41.36\00:17:42.92 is 'cause they're obedient 00:17:42.96\00:17:44.29 and they're going back o the natural diet 00:17:44.33\00:17:45.69 that God has given them. 00:17:45.73\00:17:47.06 But I said, "Mom, the healing wasn't in the carrot juice, 00:17:47.10\00:17:49.80 the healing was God, amen." 00:17:49.83\00:17:51.83 And so she said okay. 00:17:51.87\00:17:53.27 I said, "Why? 00:17:53.30\00:17:54.64 You don't need to drink that juice in general 00:17:54.67\00:17:57.31 'cause you're not sick anymore." 00:17:57.34\00:17:58.67 The Lord blessed her and cancer was gone. 00:17:58.71\00:18:00.91 And she says, "Oh, yeah." 00:18:00.94\00:18:02.28 I said, "Let me ask you a quick question. 00:18:02.31\00:18:03.68 How many carrots and beets does it take to make what, 00:18:03.71\00:18:07.85 one glass of juice?" 00:18:07.88\00:18:09.85 Well, we just used three carrots, one bead, 00:18:09.88\00:18:12.75 two celery, a cup, a half a cup of kale 00:18:12.79\00:18:16.19 and all of that stuff. 00:18:16.22\00:18:17.56 So I asked one simple question, 00:18:17.59\00:18:18.93 and you all can help me answer this. 00:18:18.96\00:18:20.43 Can you eat all of that? 00:18:20.46\00:18:23.40 Can you eat all of what we just made here? 00:18:23.43\00:18:26.00 And most people will say what? 00:18:26.03\00:18:27.74 No, and my mom says no. 00:18:27.77\00:18:30.37 I could only probably eat two carrots. 00:18:30.41\00:18:32.44 I know I'm a little blessed. 00:18:32.47\00:18:34.34 Yeah, maybe a little over blessed, 00:18:34.38\00:18:36.85 but I'm not greedy. 00:18:36.88\00:18:38.48 And you know what? 00:18:38.51\00:18:39.85 She is right, she's not greedy. 00:18:39.88\00:18:41.22 Why can she not eat all of this? 00:18:41.25\00:18:43.79 Why can you not eat all of this? 00:18:43.82\00:18:45.59 After your first or second carrot 00:18:45.62\00:18:47.99 because the valve is still in it. 00:18:48.02\00:18:49.89 What is the valve everybody? 00:18:49.92\00:18:51.33 Fiber. 00:18:51.36\00:18:52.69 Yes, this fiber because the fiber is still in it, 00:18:52.73\00:18:55.26 it does what? 00:18:55.30\00:18:56.63 Fiber's indigestible, 00:18:56.67\00:18:58.33 that means your body can't digest 00:18:58.37\00:18:59.70 so what does fiber do? 00:18:59.73\00:19:01.07 It goes and swells up on you 00:19:01.10\00:19:03.64 and starts cleaning the lining of the digestive track 00:19:03.67\00:19:07.41 and starts getting everything out. 00:19:07.44\00:19:09.84 But at the same time, when you try to go 00:19:09.88\00:19:12.68 and eat another carrot, the body says stop. 00:19:12.71\00:19:16.42 Why?
