Paradise. 00:00:12.41\00:00:13.78 Welcome to A Taste of Paradise. 00:00:30.06\00:00:32.06 My name is Evita Tezeno, 00:00:32.09\00:00:34.30 and you know everybody has a sweet tooth 00:00:34.33\00:00:37.47 and I am the biggest fans of sweet. 00:00:37.50\00:00:41.17 I know this friend of mine and he calls it sweet meat. 00:00:41.20\00:00:44.91 Every time he wants dessert, he says, 00:00:44.94\00:00:47.34 "Can you make me some sweet meat." 00:00:47.38\00:00:49.24 So, yes, I love dessert, and today, 00:00:49.28\00:00:52.41 I'm gonna be sharing a wonderful recipe with you. 00:00:52.45\00:00:55.88 It's a Pecan Cranberry Tart and it's creamy, 00:00:55.92\00:01:00.79 it resembles a cheesecake. 00:01:00.82\00:01:02.89 But it's a little more creamier and it's all plant based. 00:01:02.92\00:01:06.83 And let's see the recipe. 00:01:06.86\00:01:09.03 For the crust you would need: 00:01:09.06\00:01:10.87 So we're gonna use the Cuisinart today, 00:01:25.51\00:01:29.15 the processor, 00:01:29.18\00:01:31.49 and we'll start with almonds 00:01:31.52\00:01:33.46 that have been soaked and dehydrated. 00:01:33.49\00:01:37.16 And we want to grind them into a fine powder first. 00:01:37.19\00:01:41.03 Once they've have been grounded into fine powder, 00:02:03.52\00:02:05.89 you want to add your carob powder. 00:02:05.92\00:02:08.66 And we use carob 00:02:08.69\00:02:10.63 because chocolate has caffeine in it 00:02:10.66\00:02:16.80 and I... 00:02:16.83\00:02:18.17 And chocolate also is not sweet. 00:02:18.20\00:02:20.87 It's, it is bitter to the taste 00:02:20.90\00:02:23.97 and they put a lot of milk and sugar in it 00:02:24.01\00:02:26.54 to make it sweet 00:02:26.57\00:02:28.01 but carob powder is naturally sweet. 00:02:28.04\00:02:30.21 So that's why I use carob. 00:02:30.25\00:02:32.71 And then we want to add the maple syrup. 00:02:32.75\00:02:36.95 And we put a little salt in it just to balance the taste. 00:02:36.99\00:02:42.12 And then we want to process it. 00:02:42.16\00:02:45.96 And then we're gonna add our coconut oil. 00:02:52.67\00:02:56.14 And if you notice it's like a cookie dough consistency. 00:03:25.40\00:03:30.84 So we're gonna take this mixture 00:03:30.87\00:03:32.94 and I have already started one in our tart pan. 00:03:32.97\00:03:37.38 And we're gonna take the mixture 00:03:37.41\00:03:40.95 and we're just gonna pad it around 00:03:40.98\00:03:44.35 and fill up... 00:03:44.39\00:03:46.65 the tart pan. 00:03:50.19\00:03:53.83 You know desserts 00:03:53.86\00:03:57.17 that are plant based are very, very easy. 00:03:57.20\00:04:00.77 And a lot of people asked me, they said, 00:04:00.80\00:04:04.21 "I have a sweet tooth. 00:04:04.24\00:04:06.37 And I just don't want to give up my desserts." 00:04:06.41\00:04:09.24 But you don't have to. 00:04:09.28\00:04:11.31 You can have wonderful desserts 00:04:11.35\00:04:14.58 that are sugar free and they are very good for you, 00:04:14.62\00:04:20.46 like this one for instance 00:04:20.49\00:04:23.66 because of the cranberries is high in vitamin C. 00:04:23.69\00:04:26.26 So I have placed all the mixture around 00:04:31.50\00:04:35.64 the tart pan 00:04:35.67\00:04:37.01 and now we are ready for the filling. 00:04:37.04\00:04:41.14 And the recipe for the filling is: 00:04:41.18\00:04:42.91 Okay, so we're gonna start with the filling 00:05:10.51\00:05:14.24 and these are cashews 00:05:14.28\00:05:15.91 that have been soaked overnight. 00:05:15.94\00:05:19.11 And one reason why I love to soak my cashews 00:05:19.15\00:05:22.28 because it makes desserts and dishes more creamy 00:05:22.32\00:05:27.82 and we're gonna do the water, 00:05:27.86\00:05:29.19 the salt. 00:05:33.86\00:05:35.20 And I always like to put a little salt in sweet things 00:05:35.23\00:05:37.53 because it balance the flavor. 00:05:37.57\00:05:39.73 This is the lemon juice. 00:05:39.77\00:05:42.70 The lemon juice makes it have that 00:05:42.74\00:05:44.27 kind of cream cheese kind of taste. 00:05:44.31\00:05:48.98 We have agave. 00:05:49.01\00:05:50.35 If you don't want to use agave, 00:05:50.38\00:05:51.71 you can use honey or maple syrup. 00:05:51.75\00:05:54.88 And then our coconut oil, 00:05:58.25\00:06:00.82 and this coconut oil makes the dessert solidify 00:06:04.56\00:06:10.03 when it's cold. 00:06:10.07\00:06:11.40 And then we want to blend this up. 00:06:18.77\00:06:21.04 Now once it all have blended up 00:06:44.90\00:06:48.50 and this top just didn't want to come off. 00:06:48.54\00:06:51.57 We want to pour this into a bowl. 00:06:51.61\00:06:53.81 And then put the cranberries in 00:07:00.55\00:07:02.52 and then the pecans. 00:07:08.66\00:07:09.99 You guys are really gonna love this dessert. 00:07:13.29\00:07:15.56 It is sweet and tart at the same time 00:07:15.60\00:07:18.70 that what's gives it that extraordinary kind of flavor 00:07:18.73\00:07:25.17 because the tartness is from the cranberries 00:07:25.21\00:07:28.58 and then the sweet from the custard, 00:07:28.61\00:07:30.58 it's amazing. 00:07:30.61\00:07:33.65 And then you want to just gently pour. 00:07:33.68\00:07:37.82 Now this recipe recalls for a larger tart pan, 00:07:37.85\00:07:41.99 I'm using a smaller tart pan today. 00:07:42.02\00:07:44.49 And then you want to stick this into fridge. 00:07:48.53\00:07:51.53 And if you really are in a hurry 00:07:51.57\00:07:55.14 and you want to eat it now, 00:07:55.17\00:07:56.74 you can stick it in the freezer. 00:07:56.77\00:07:59.11 And it needs about maybe a good... 00:07:59.14\00:08:01.34 In the freezer you need about maybe six hours, 00:08:01.38\00:08:05.81 but in the refrigerator it needs to be overnight 00:08:05.85\00:08:09.25 and it will solidify and I made one beforehand, 00:08:09.28\00:08:13.79 so let's see. 00:08:13.82\00:08:15.16 Check this out. 00:08:20.26\00:08:23.00 This is so festive looking 00:08:23.03\00:08:26.03 and I'm telling you it's delicious. 00:08:26.07\00:08:28.87 I made one a couple of nights ago 00:08:28.90\00:08:31.04 and we devoured it. 00:08:31.07\00:08:34.58 This is been Evita with another fabulous recipe, 00:08:34.61\00:08:38.05 and remember to live life fresh. 00:08:38.08\00:08:41.38 Never Settle for Less! 00:08:48.56\00:08:50.16 Only Eat Grandma's Best. 00:08:50.19\00:08:51.83 Y'all remember when grandma used to tell you, 00:08:51.86\00:08:53.46 "Son, never settle for less!" 00:08:53.50\00:08:56.03 When you do something do the best that you can. 00:08:56.06\00:08:58.63 And so, I will start this program today 00:08:58.67\00:09:01.17 with the best apology I can. 00:09:01.20\00:09:03.34 Many years ago and seasons way before, 00:09:03.37\00:09:06.34 we made something called cornbread. 00:09:06.37\00:09:08.81 I actually call it corn rocks 00:09:08.84\00:09:10.71 because it came out so hard 00:09:10.75\00:09:12.08 like you have to eat it immediately 00:09:12.11\00:09:13.95 or else it would like hit you back, 00:09:13.98\00:09:15.78 and so I said, no, we have to do better. 00:09:15.82\00:09:18.15 We got to step it up 00:09:18.19\00:09:19.52 because I remember that still small voice, 00:09:19.55\00:09:21.62 I know it was the Holy Spirit of course, 00:09:21.66\00:09:22.99 but Grandma's saying, "Son, never settle for less, 00:09:23.02\00:09:26.03 only do the best." 00:09:26.06\00:09:27.40 And so we said, you know, 00:09:27.43\00:09:28.76 we have to search and find out 00:09:28.80\00:09:30.17 what is the best cornbread recipe 00:09:30.20\00:09:33.03 that we can use, 00:09:33.07\00:09:34.54 that we can eat, because we all love it. 00:09:34.57\00:09:36.74 Matter of fact sometime ago, 00:09:36.77\00:09:38.31 I was at a program 00:09:38.34\00:09:39.67 and they were serving this cornbread, 00:09:39.71\00:09:41.04 it was so tasty, 00:09:41.08\00:09:42.84 one of our special chefs, her name is Juanita Gonzalez, 00:09:42.88\00:09:45.81 you know, this little, little Spanish lady there 00:09:45.85\00:09:48.75 and she made it and I said, "I need this recipe." 00:09:48.78\00:09:51.69 But I'll tell you a little secret. 00:09:51.72\00:09:53.05 She gave me the other one too. 00:09:53.09\00:09:54.42 So I think she tried to sidetrack me 00:09:54.46\00:09:55.89 but anyway it was so good, it was so good. 00:09:55.92\00:09:58.73 Don't worry, she's not a grandma. 00:09:58.76\00:10:00.10 But I said, 00:10:00.13\00:10:01.46 let us try this one more time 00:10:01.50\00:10:02.83 and give people something better. 00:10:02.86\00:10:04.60 Matter of fact that recipe was so good, 00:10:04.63\00:10:06.40 we had it once a week for the next 13 weeks. 00:10:06.43\00:10:08.87 Pray for me, 00:10:08.90\00:10:10.24 I need to be tempered, I know. 00:10:10.27\00:10:11.61 But now, we're gonna share with you that. 00:10:11.64\00:10:13.38 We're gonna make some cornbread, 00:10:13.41\00:10:14.98 some good old cornbread, 00:10:15.01\00:10:16.34 and we're gonna make some collard greens, 00:10:16.38\00:10:18.48 you've got to have the greens. 00:10:18.51\00:10:19.85 And we're gonna look at some of the beneficial properties. 00:10:19.88\00:10:21.95 Matter of fact when you think of greens, 00:10:21.98\00:10:23.32 anybody think, 00:10:23.35\00:10:24.69 they only think of spinach or kale 00:10:24.72\00:10:26.32 or something of that nature, 00:10:26.35\00:10:27.69 but today we're gonna look at some good old collard greens. 00:10:27.72\00:10:30.23 So we're gonna make some good cornbread, 00:10:30.26\00:10:32.36 healthy cornbread 00:10:32.39\00:10:33.73 without the aluminum baking powder 00:10:33.76\00:10:36.23 and all of this other stuff, the good one from scratch. 00:10:36.26\00:10:39.13 And we're gonna go through this recipe 00:10:39.17\00:10:40.50 because we've got to get that in the oven 00:10:40.54\00:10:41.87 so we can get roll in. 00:10:41.90\00:10:43.24 All you need for Grandma's Best Never Settle 00:10:43.27\00:10:44.87 For Less Cornbread is: 00:10:44.91\00:10:46.54 And literally that's how easy it is. 00:11:10.90\00:11:14.04 There's no reason, no excuses we can make. 00:11:14.07\00:11:16.71 I need to put baking powder or whatever like that. 00:11:16.74\00:11:19.64 No, because that aluminum in there 00:11:19.67\00:11:21.91 as we learned over and over again 00:11:21.94\00:11:23.71 is gonna cause other problems, 00:11:23.75\00:11:25.08 that's why they have that aluminum free 00:11:25.11\00:11:26.65 but then aluminum free still has 00:11:26.68\00:11:28.55 what is known as sodium bicarbonate 00:11:28.58\00:11:30.42 which interrupts some of the digestive processes there. 00:11:30.45\00:11:33.25 So we're gonna go with the Featherweight here, 00:11:33.29\00:11:34.62 very simple, easy and tasty, 00:11:34.66\00:11:36.56 so let's get this thing moving. 00:11:36.59\00:11:37.93 What we're gonna do, 00:11:37.96\00:11:39.29 we're gonna just take our mixing bowl. 00:11:39.33\00:11:40.66 We're gonna get the other ingredients going. 00:11:40.70\00:11:42.33 You have to have, 00:11:42.36\00:11:43.70 you have to start with some cornmeal. 00:11:43.73\00:11:46.47 This is a crucial, crucial ingredient, 00:11:46.50\00:11:50.37 foundational ingredient. 00:11:50.41\00:11:52.24 So we're gonna take that cornmeal, 00:11:52.27\00:11:53.84 we're gonna poor that in, nice, simple. 00:11:53.88\00:11:56.18 Preferably if you can get organic one, 00:11:56.21\00:11:57.95 you're in good shape but work with what you have, 00:11:57.98\00:11:59.75 is that all right. 00:11:59.78\00:12:01.12 We're gonna put that flour in there as well. 00:12:01.15\00:12:03.22 We're gonna get those items slowly 00:12:03.25\00:12:04.72 but surely mixing up. 00:12:04.75\00:12:06.65 Then we're gonna take this one here, 00:12:06.69\00:12:09.99 we're gonna have some of that evaporated cane juice crystals, 00:12:10.03\00:12:12.96 this is the secret ingredient. 00:12:12.99\00:12:14.43 You didn't get the first time, 00:12:14.46\00:12:15.80 now you're gonna get it all right, 00:12:15.83\00:12:17.17 so we have the evaporated cane juice crystals there. 00:12:17.20\00:12:21.10 We're gonna add some now. 00:12:21.14\00:12:22.77 We're gonna take the salt, 00:12:22.80\00:12:25.21 make sure you put that in the above, 00:12:25.24\00:12:26.81 make sure please mix it properly 00:12:26.84\00:12:29.71 because I remember one time I was having cornbread 00:12:29.74\00:12:32.21 and I don't know what happened. 00:12:32.25\00:12:33.72 I just got a salty bite. 00:12:33.75\00:12:35.88 Yes, a salty bite 00:12:35.92\00:12:37.25 if sometimes we don't mix it properly. 00:12:37.29\00:12:38.62 So you're gonna mix 00:12:38.65\00:12:39.99 all of the dry ingredients here together, 00:12:40.02\00:12:42.16 and then we're gonna hold on a featherweight, 00:12:42.19\00:12:44.36 though we're gonna leave that one for last 00:12:44.39\00:12:45.79 because that gets, that gets rolling. 00:12:45.83\00:12:47.73 It may act like a featherweight 00:12:47.76\00:12:49.23 but it hits like a heavyweight. 00:12:49.26\00:12:50.87 Then we're gonna take some of that soy milk 00:12:50.90\00:12:53.84 or any kind of milk you have, 00:12:53.87\00:12:55.54 nut milk, rice milk or almond milk, 00:12:55.57\00:12:58.41 enjoy we're gonna mix those up 00:12:58.44\00:12:59.77 and we're gonna add that oil in there also. 00:12:59.81\00:13:02.58 This is, this is crucial this gonna give it 00:13:02.61\00:13:04.41 that nice fluffiness that we all want 00:13:04.45\00:13:07.15 and it's gonna taste amazing. 00:13:07.18\00:13:09.15 So we have the salt 00:13:09.18\00:13:11.02 and evaporated cane juice crystals. 00:13:11.05\00:13:13.82 Now this is that all crucial. 00:13:13.86\00:13:15.99 Look at this, this thing don't even want to get out. 00:13:16.02\00:13:17.93 As it is just use a spoon, 00:13:17.96\00:13:19.69 so I'm gonna go ahead and get this out of here even, 00:13:19.73\00:13:22.33 even a mixer wants to hold on to this recipe, 00:13:22.36\00:13:24.73 I don't, I don't... 00:13:24.77\00:13:26.10 Yeah, I better get it 00:13:26.13\00:13:27.47 or somebody else will, all right. 00:13:27.50\00:13:29.00 And so we're gonna add this 00:13:29.04\00:13:30.37 but we're gonna make one more 00:13:30.41\00:13:31.94 because you see it's nice and thick, 00:13:31.97\00:13:33.31 I just want to mix that up properly, 00:13:33.34\00:13:34.68 then we're gonna add that coconut milk this, 00:13:34.71\00:13:38.18 this right here, this changes it all. 00:13:38.21\00:13:40.98 We call the coconut milk, the game changer. 00:13:41.02\00:13:43.65 All right. 00:13:43.69\00:13:45.02 So we're gonna have that going. 00:13:45.05\00:13:46.39 Matter of fact 00:13:46.42\00:13:47.76 if you just take coconut milk and cornmeal, 00:13:47.79\00:13:50.13 and you put it in a pot or sauce pan 00:13:50.16\00:13:53.60 and you mix it up and you leave it there, 00:13:53.63\00:13:56.90 you mix it up and you boil it for a little while, 00:13:56.93\00:13:59.93 you can even make butter. 00:13:59.97\00:14:02.00 Yes, you can make butter from scratch here, 00:14:02.04\00:14:05.27 just by using the what? 00:14:05.31\00:14:06.68 The cornmeal and the, 00:14:06.71\00:14:09.38 and the coconut milk with a little bit of sauce, 00:14:09.41\00:14:11.05 so you can make your own butter from scratch 00:14:11.08\00:14:12.88 because you ever try to go to the store 00:14:12.91\00:14:14.25 and buy those healthy butters, 00:14:14.28\00:14:16.38 their price was healthy too. 00:14:16.42\00:14:18.55 So now you can do it yourself, all right. 00:14:18.59\00:14:20.59 So we're gonna mix those items there. 00:14:20.62\00:14:22.42 Look at that, it's looking good. 00:14:22.46\00:14:24.76 All right. 00:14:24.79\00:14:26.13 I'm shaking up the whole place here. 00:14:26.16\00:14:28.26 Oh, man, that's how that cornmeal... 00:14:28.30\00:14:29.73 Matter of fact, grandma, 00:14:29.76\00:14:31.10 her cornmeal was so good 00:14:31.13\00:14:33.13 that we were eating it before it was even done. 00:14:33.17\00:14:35.47 You know what I'm talking about, right, 00:14:35.50\00:14:36.84 where you go and you get it. 00:14:36.87\00:14:39.27 Then here it is the heavyweight that, 00:14:39.31\00:14:41.31 it's called the featherweight. 00:14:41.34\00:14:42.74 We're gonna add the featherweight to that. 00:14:42.78\00:14:45.75 And we're gonna get that going nice, look at it, 00:14:45.78\00:14:48.38 it's all up in the air 00:14:48.42\00:14:50.02 so we're gonna mix this in properly. 00:14:50.05\00:14:51.42 This is gonna give us that, 00:14:51.45\00:14:53.39 that body that we want there for the cornmeal 00:14:53.42\00:14:57.13 so, get it going nicely, whip it up there. 00:14:57.16\00:15:00.30 And all you're gonna do now is take this, 00:15:00.33\00:15:03.43 put it in a little bacon dish. 00:15:03.47\00:15:05.37 I have a nice little circular bacon dish. 00:15:05.40\00:15:07.14 We're gonna take this now, we're gonna spread up. 00:15:07.17\00:15:10.24 If you don't want to use a spray, 00:15:10.27\00:15:11.61 then just go ahead and put some little olive oil. 00:15:11.64\00:15:13.27 This is what I have, 00:15:13.31\00:15:14.64 I'm gonna work with it and put some olive oil, 00:15:14.68\00:15:18.38 or you could put some of that 00:15:18.41\00:15:19.81 maybe your homemade butter or something 00:15:19.85\00:15:21.48 or even coconut milk probably 00:15:21.52\00:15:23.22 because it has a nice good amount of oil or fats there. 00:15:23.25\00:15:28.42 Then we're gonna take this, all right. 00:15:28.46\00:15:30.46 Let me switch this up a little bit. 00:15:30.49\00:15:32.36 Now, here's the time for my spatula, 00:15:32.39\00:15:34.16 I'm just gonna pour this in nicely. 00:15:34.20\00:15:37.83 All right. 00:15:37.87\00:15:40.07 Look at this, even a bowl doesn't want to let go. 00:15:40.10\00:15:42.27 Everybody wants some of grandma's cornbread. 00:15:42.30\00:15:45.31 Oh, nice thick. 00:15:45.34\00:15:47.91 Oh, man, this is gonna be ready in no time, 00:15:47.94\00:15:50.28 and we pour that in there. 00:15:50.31\00:15:51.98 Oh, man, Thanksgiving, Christmas, 00:15:52.01\00:15:54.35 we're gonna celebrate early whatever time Easter, 00:15:54.38\00:15:57.42 I don't know, I'm not really big into the holidays 00:15:57.45\00:16:00.06 but I'll be making up holidays 00:16:00.09\00:16:01.72 so I can make some of this or invite my friends, 00:16:01.76\00:16:04.69 so they can make it for me. 00:16:04.73\00:16:06.06 I'm tired of cooking. 00:16:06.09\00:16:07.43 And we're gonna go ahead. 00:16:07.46\00:16:08.80 Now, we're gonna take this, 00:16:08.83\00:16:10.17 we're gonna put this in oven 300-350 00:16:10.20\00:16:12.33 but keep an eye on it, because it's done in no time. 00:16:12.37\00:16:15.30 So we're gonna take that and I have a nice little cool 00:16:15.34\00:16:17.97 finished product for you all and here it is. 00:16:18.01\00:16:22.94 This is how it should come out looking. 00:16:22.98\00:16:25.01 This is what I'm talking about here. 00:16:25.05\00:16:27.05 This is the cornbread that people, 00:16:27.08\00:16:29.18 I'm not gonna say, die for it, 00:16:29.22\00:16:30.59 but they would if they could. 00:16:30.62\00:16:32.35 This is very tasty delicious. 00:16:32.39\00:16:34.46 Matter of fact, 00:16:34.49\00:16:35.82 we shared it already with so many people 00:16:35.86\00:16:37.39 and they're asking for a recipe. 00:16:37.43\00:16:39.03 Just call A Taste of Paradise, they will take care of you. 00:16:39.06\00:16:41.80 We need to put it in our book or something like that 00:16:41.83\00:16:44.50 because this is a moneymaker here. 00:16:44.53\00:16:46.37 All right, so, that is your cornbread, 00:16:46.40\00:16:48.57 very simple and easy. 00:16:48.60\00:16:50.07 Can you do that or what? 00:16:50.11\00:16:51.44 A couple of ingredients and it's over. 00:16:51.47\00:16:53.68 As simple as that, 00:16:53.71\00:16:55.04 but you can just have cornbread but with cornbread alone. 00:16:55.08\00:16:58.21 I know it's good, 00:16:58.25\00:16:59.58 but we're gonna add a little extra. 00:16:59.61\00:17:01.48 We're gonna have some greens. 00:17:01.52\00:17:02.92 And what kind of greens are we talking about? 00:17:02.95\00:17:04.75 We're talking about that good old collard greens. 00:17:04.79\00:17:07.82 This here is a Southern favorite. 00:17:07.86\00:17:09.69 Everybody loves it. 00:17:09.72\00:17:11.06 Everybody wants it. 00:17:11.09\00:17:12.43 It's like, it's like 00:17:12.46\00:17:13.80 the cornbread is the left, 00:17:13.83\00:17:15.60 but then you got to get the right, 00:17:15.63\00:17:16.97 hook right there with the collard greens, 00:17:17.00\00:17:18.80 so now we're gonna make Never Settle for Less! 00:17:18.83\00:17:21.20 Grandma's Best. 00:17:21.24\00:17:23.27 Grandma's Best Never Settle for Less, 00:17:23.30\00:17:24.64 Collard greens. 00:17:24.67\00:17:26.01 All you need is about: 00:17:26.04\00:17:27.38 Woo! 00:18:06.51\00:18:07.85 Now, that was a mouthful there, 00:18:07.88\00:18:09.22 but don't worry, it's gonna be worth it all. 00:18:09.25\00:18:11.05 I know y'all are trying to write this thing down 00:18:11.09\00:18:13.09 or keep up but just follow along. 00:18:13.12\00:18:15.22 If you get it, for me this is how I learn. 00:18:15.26\00:18:17.73 I just need to watch people do it properly one time, 00:18:17.76\00:18:21.63 and by God's grace I'll learn how to do it. 00:18:21.66\00:18:24.53 You ever noticed 00:18:24.57\00:18:25.90 especially in a life of Jesus with the disciples, 00:18:25.93\00:18:27.27 they were like, "what should we do." 00:18:27.30\00:18:28.64 He's like what? 00:18:28.67\00:18:30.01 "Come follow me." 00:18:30.04\00:18:31.37 So you don't need no numbers and stuff like that, 00:18:31.41\00:18:32.74 just follow me 00:18:32.77\00:18:34.11 and I'm gonna show you how to do it. 00:18:34.14\00:18:35.48 So just try to follow, I watch others do it, 00:18:35.51\00:18:37.01 and I'm gonna try to do it myself, all right. 00:18:37.05\00:18:38.61 So we have the collard greens. 00:18:38.65\00:18:39.98 We're gonna take about two to three cups of water. 00:18:40.02\00:18:41.92 Let me get this stove running first. 00:18:41.95\00:18:45.22 All right, so I got that, 00:18:45.25\00:18:46.59 I already have the water in there. 00:18:46.62\00:18:48.49 Then I'm gonna take my about... 00:18:48.52\00:18:51.43 Let's see how much we have here. 00:18:51.46\00:18:53.33 We have about two pounds. 00:18:53.36\00:18:54.70 This is literally two pounds of collard greens 00:18:54.73\00:18:56.56 ready for you to go, and we're gonna take this, 00:18:56.60\00:18:58.83 we're gonna put this into the pot a little bit there. 00:18:58.87\00:19:01.90 And this has been washed, it says, triple wash 00:19:01.94\00:19:04.71 but sometimes I guess you can never be too sure. 00:19:04.74\00:19:07.21 So if you're unsure 00:19:07.24\00:19:08.74 then what I want to encourage you to do is 00:19:08.78\00:19:10.88 just wash it again, all right. 00:19:10.91\00:19:12.91 And I'm gonna put as much as I can in there 00:19:12.95\00:19:17.05 without making a mess. 00:19:17.09\00:19:18.42 As you know with collard greens it takes a little, 00:19:18.45\00:19:21.02 a little while there, it's gonna work its way down. 00:19:21.06\00:19:23.93 All right so for rest I'm gonna hold over here. 00:19:23.96\00:19:27.20 And here's a simple little tip 00:19:27.23\00:19:29.40 because we have to add the rest of the ingredients 00:19:29.43\00:19:31.17 so I have my coconut milk, 00:19:31.20\00:19:33.10 I have my tomatoes and all that stuff. 00:19:33.13\00:19:35.40 You see my pot, 00:19:35.44\00:19:36.77 I'm squeezed here for space on my pot, 00:19:36.81\00:19:38.24 so I'm just gonna take these items, 00:19:38.27\00:19:40.28 especially the small dry ingredients 00:19:40.31\00:19:43.35 like the onion powder, garlic powder. 00:19:43.38\00:19:44.75 I'm just gonna mix this all up in advance 00:19:44.78\00:19:46.58 before I pour it over the top there 00:19:46.61\00:19:49.88 and then we should be, we should be good. 00:19:49.92\00:19:51.69 We're gonna have the salt, all right. 00:19:51.72\00:19:54.49 And remember I said about two to three cups of water. 00:19:54.52\00:19:56.29 So I'm gonna mix all of these items in advance. 00:19:56.32\00:20:00.60 We have all of this stuff here. 00:20:00.63\00:20:03.57 All right. 00:20:03.60\00:20:05.33 We have some... 00:20:05.37\00:20:07.14 So we want the Braggs 00:20:07.17\00:20:08.50 but we'll work with what we have, 00:20:08.54\00:20:10.01 all right. 00:20:10.04\00:20:11.37 So we got that going there. 00:20:11.41\00:20:12.74 We have some nice turmeric. 00:20:12.77\00:20:14.11 Oh, turmeric is amazing. 00:20:14.14\00:20:15.91 Matter of fact turmeric is so good 00:20:15.94\00:20:17.28 especially for the ladies 00:20:17.31\00:20:19.08 that has what is known as Cox-2 or 3 inhibitor 00:20:19.11\00:20:21.68 which kind of stifles or hinders, 00:20:21.72\00:20:24.45 you know tumors and those items from growing. 00:20:24.49\00:20:27.29 You know, a lot of people dealing with fibroids 00:20:27.32\00:20:29.42 or cyst or you know 00:20:29.46\00:20:32.13 it's just all over the place and watch this, 00:20:32.16\00:20:33.66 a lot of people ask, 00:20:33.70\00:20:35.03 "What do we do about fibroids, cysts, 00:20:35.06\00:20:36.60 or tumors or whatever." 00:20:36.63\00:20:37.97 Now, did you know that fibroids 00:20:38.00\00:20:39.33 or these growths are not like some random thing 00:20:39.37\00:20:42.20 that just comes from the air and goes into ear. 00:20:42.24\00:20:44.37 You know from the air in your ear 00:20:44.41\00:20:46.61 and make its way down to the uterus 00:20:46.64\00:20:48.34 or to the stomach or something. 00:20:48.38\00:20:49.71 These are normal cells in a body 00:20:49.74\00:20:51.18 that have just overgrown. 00:20:51.21\00:20:53.05 Maybe it could be, 00:20:53.08\00:20:54.92 you know, people going through stress, 00:20:54.95\00:20:56.45 the estrogen increases a little bit. 00:20:56.48\00:20:58.92 It's just sometimes unfortunately common in ladies 00:20:58.95\00:21:01.72 as they move into their, in their, 00:21:01.76\00:21:03.83 you know, latter moments in life, 00:21:03.86\00:21:05.23 we call those tropical moments, 00:21:05.26\00:21:06.86 you know, it's not hot or cold, 00:21:06.90\00:21:09.76 it just switches up, 00:21:09.80\00:21:11.13 and one second it's a warm breeze 00:21:11.17\00:21:12.93 and they're like this, 00:21:12.97\00:21:14.30 the next second is a cold breeze 00:21:14.34\00:21:15.67 and they kind to try to warm up. 00:21:15.70\00:21:17.04 So when they move into this point there, 00:21:17.07\00:21:20.08 they show that turmeric is actually acts like 00:21:20.11\00:21:22.38 because it stifles those fibroids 00:21:22.41\00:21:24.71 or those cysts or those items from growing, 00:21:24.75\00:21:27.48 but you remember to keep with all diseases. 00:21:27.52\00:21:29.72 I'm gonna have to say it again is please try your best 00:21:29.75\00:21:33.46 if you can hold off on distress, 00:21:33.49\00:21:35.92 never settle for less, 00:21:35.96\00:21:37.56 only ask the Lord for the best, all right. 00:21:37.59\00:21:40.46 So what can you use? 00:21:40.50\00:21:41.83 Turmeric, however do not use this thing... 00:21:41.86\00:21:44.93 Some people find out turmeric is good. 00:21:44.97\00:21:46.57 So what do they do? 00:21:46.60\00:21:47.94 They go on a turmeric binge. 00:21:47.97\00:21:50.17 Turmeric in a salad, turmeric in their green. 00:21:50.21\00:21:53.11 They're drinking turmeric, taking turmeric pills. 00:21:53.14\00:21:55.74 Too much, too much I better cry. 00:21:55.78\00:21:57.95 Use it for its intended purpose 00:21:57.98\00:21:59.81 and other than that hold off on it. 00:21:59.85\00:22:01.72 And if you can check out some of our other recipes, 00:22:01.75\00:22:03.39 we've done Curry in a Hurry, 00:22:03.42\00:22:04.75 we use a little turmeric there as well. 00:22:04.79\00:22:07.66 So enough of the whole turmeric story, all right. 00:22:07.69\00:22:10.39 Here we go, we're gonna go ahead, 00:22:10.43\00:22:11.76 we're gonna mix those items up. 00:24:06.64\00:24:07.98 Now, let me you something with all I explain and why. 00:24:08.01\00:24:10.65 When you heat that then you eat it, what it does, 00:24:10.68\00:24:13.35 it naturally by God's grace, 00:24:13.38\00:24:15.38 it binds to what is known as bile acids, 00:24:15.42\00:24:18.82 okay, what do we say bile acids. 00:24:18.85\00:24:21.29 So it binds to the bile acid. 00:24:21.32\00:24:23.56 As a result of binding to it, 00:24:23.59\00:24:25.89 it helps with the excretion of the what, Bile who? 00:24:25.93\00:24:29.66 Acid. 00:24:29.70\00:24:31.03 Now let's go back, 00:24:31.07\00:24:32.40 I don't know if you all have been paying attention. 00:24:32.43\00:24:33.77 Season one, season two, season three, 00:24:33.80\00:24:35.90 that when we went over bile, bile is not a bad thing, 00:24:35.94\00:24:39.74 bile is actually good, all right. 00:24:39.77\00:24:41.48 Bile is necessary, is stored in a gallbladder 00:24:41.51\00:24:43.88 and is excreted to breakdown what?
