Have you ever wondered 00:00:01.33\00:00:02.66 exactly how to prepare healthy food 00:00:02.70\00:00:04.07 that actually tastes good? 00:00:04.13\00:00:05.90 Well, stay tuned while Evita Tezeno, 00:00:05.93\00:00:07.77 and yours truly Nyse Collins show you just how to do it 00:00:07.80\00:00:10.91 and give you something better, A Taste of Paradise. 00:00:10.94\00:00:13.94 Welcome to A Taste of Paradise. 00:00:31.69\00:00:33.56 My name is Evita Tezeno 00:00:33.60\00:00:36.23 and today I have a treat for you, guys. 00:00:36.26\00:00:41.84 I am making lemon pie. 00:00:41.87\00:00:45.11 Oh, my, lemon pie, can you believe it? 00:00:45.14\00:00:50.21 And you said, "A lemon pie, is it raw?" 00:00:50.28\00:00:53.45 Of course, of course, it's raw. 00:00:53.48\00:00:57.12 And we're gonna begin with the crust. 00:00:57.15\00:00:59.12 Okay. 00:01:16.77\00:01:18.57 Remember to always soak your nuts 00:01:18.61\00:01:21.94 because they have enzyme inhibitors on them. 00:01:21.98\00:01:25.18 I must remember that, 00:01:25.21\00:01:28.58 and then we put the cashews and the almonds, 00:01:28.62\00:01:33.86 the lemon juice. 00:01:33.92\00:01:35.56 I mean, the lemon zest, not the juice, maple syrup... 00:01:35.59\00:01:38.66 the coconut 00:01:43.40\00:01:47.17 and some salt. 00:01:47.20\00:01:50.04 And then we're gonna process it. 00:01:50.07\00:01:51.41 And this is a fabulous, no bake crust 00:02:10.03\00:02:14.10 that you can use basically with any recipe 00:02:14.10\00:02:17.13 and you can just take out the lemon zest 00:02:17.17\00:02:20.10 and you can use it 00:02:20.14\00:02:22.04 with different other pie recipes. 00:02:22.07\00:02:26.34 So we have our pie pan 00:02:26.37\00:02:32.31 and we're taking a little coconut oil 00:02:32.35\00:02:36.05 and we're greasing the pie pan 00:02:36.08\00:02:38.72 so we will not, 00:02:38.75\00:02:42.02 so we won't stick. 00:02:42.06\00:02:43.39 And my hands are clean 00:02:47.76\00:02:49.06 so we're gonna use some of the pie crust 00:02:49.10\00:02:52.97 and we're just gonna press it in. 00:02:53.00\00:02:55.84 Very, very simple. 00:02:55.87\00:02:59.47 And what I like to do after it's all pressed in, 00:02:59.51\00:03:03.04 I like to stick it in the freezer for a bit 00:03:03.08\00:03:06.82 so it firms up. 00:03:06.85\00:03:09.08 But it's according to your preference, 00:03:09.12\00:03:12.62 I just like to do that. 00:03:12.65\00:03:16.73 You continue to press it and, you know, 00:03:16.76\00:03:21.26 I have friends that tramp, 00:03:21.30\00:03:24.37 they say that they don't make the pie like I do. 00:03:24.40\00:03:27.94 So they come and visit me 00:03:27.97\00:03:29.40 when they know I'm making this pie. 00:03:29.44\00:03:32.97 And I serve this one time 00:03:33.01\00:03:34.98 at one of my apartment's gathering 00:03:35.01\00:03:40.18 and everybody was asking me for the recipe. 00:03:40.22\00:03:44.05 It is so delicious 00:03:44.09\00:03:48.06 and it's sweet and it's, 00:03:48.09\00:03:52.73 it's just a great recipe. 00:03:52.76\00:03:55.43 So after you have placed all the crust 00:03:55.46\00:04:00.77 into the pie pan, 00:04:00.84\00:04:03.81 now we're gonna make the filling. 00:04:03.84\00:04:06.54 And the recipe for the filling is: 00:04:06.57\00:04:08.84 Okay, so now we're gonna do the filling, 00:04:33.03\00:04:37.21 and we're using the Vitamix 00:04:37.27\00:04:39.97 and the filling consist of a young coconut. 00:04:40.04\00:04:45.15 Remember, this is a young coconut 00:04:45.18\00:04:48.72 before it matures and turn brown. 00:04:48.75\00:04:51.09 And this is loaded with antioxidants 00:04:51.12\00:04:55.06 and it's also loaded with great, great energy. 00:04:55.09\00:05:02.03 So this is the coconut cut, diced into small pieces. 00:05:02.06\00:05:08.64 We have the coconut oil... 00:05:13.38\00:05:15.11 the maple syrup, and you can use maple syrup 00:05:18.58\00:05:21.05 or you can use honey, 00:05:21.08\00:05:23.15 or you can use agave, 00:05:23.18\00:05:25.12 any liquid sweetener would do. 00:05:25.15\00:05:29.09 You have a vanilla and lemon zest. 00:05:29.12\00:05:32.23 What lemon zest is it is the rind of the lemon 00:05:32.26\00:05:36.63 and you grade it, you zest it or grade it down 00:05:36.67\00:05:41.24 right before you get to the white or the lemon, 00:05:41.27\00:05:45.97 the actual fruit of the lemon, 00:05:46.01\00:05:48.78 because if you put the little white part in of the zest, 00:05:48.81\00:05:53.05 it's a little bitter. 00:05:53.08\00:05:54.42 So you just want to get the skin of the lemon, 00:05:54.45\00:05:56.35 just the outer part of the lemon. 00:05:56.38\00:06:00.79 And that's what lemon zest is. 00:06:00.82\00:06:05.26 Fresh lemon juice. 00:06:05.29\00:06:07.03 Now I really don't like using the concentrate 00:06:07.03\00:06:10.07 out of the bottle, 00:06:10.10\00:06:11.43 you want to use fresh 'cause fresh is fabulous. 00:06:11.47\00:06:13.77 And the turmeric which makes it the yellow color. 00:06:17.64\00:06:20.68 And then we're going to blend. 00:06:24.38\00:06:26.21 Now after all the ingredients have been blended... 00:06:49.30\00:06:52.51 you want to pour this into your pie crust. 00:06:55.74\00:06:58.15 And then you want to spread it around. 00:07:04.22\00:07:06.42 Then you want to set this into a freezer 00:07:11.69\00:07:16.20 for about maybe six hours 00:07:16.23\00:07:19.20 so you wanted to harden up. 00:07:19.23\00:07:22.77 And I have a finished product. 00:07:22.80\00:07:25.24 I can't wait for you guys to see this. 00:07:25.27\00:07:28.91 Let me clear out all my dishes. 00:07:28.94\00:07:34.85 And here, look at it. 00:07:34.88\00:07:37.69 Now this one I forgot to put the turmeric in 00:07:37.72\00:07:40.39 but it's still is delicious. 00:07:40.46\00:07:45.03 And here you have it 00:07:45.06\00:07:47.10 the lemon pie that everybody dreams off. 00:07:47.13\00:07:51.27 It is a raw lemon pie. 00:07:51.30\00:07:54.94 This is Evita Tezeno with A Taste of Paradise, 00:07:54.97\00:07:59.54 and remember to live life fresh. 00:07:59.57\00:08:03.28 Wow, wow Evita, man, she is hooking us up today. 00:08:11.35\00:08:15.86 That thing was scrumptious that pie. 00:08:15.89\00:08:18.36 Oh, my goodness I had one, I wanted more 00:08:18.39\00:08:20.96 but it was all done. 00:08:21.00\00:08:22.33 And I wanna encourage that y'all better go ahead 00:08:22.36\00:08:24.00 and make that. 00:08:24.07\00:08:25.40 I've already had my dessert first, 00:08:25.43\00:08:26.77 but now I need a main course. 00:08:26.80\00:08:28.14 And so today we're gonna do something very, 00:08:28.17\00:08:29.87 very special, it's called the tasty t'ickin' stir fry. 00:08:29.90\00:08:33.68 People like this, "Brother, oh, he's making up names." 00:08:33.71\00:08:35.91 And now let me repeat tasty what, 00:08:35.94\00:08:38.55 t'ickin' this is not chicken, 00:08:38.58\00:08:40.42 it's not tofu but it's the combination, 00:08:40.45\00:08:43.08 it taste so good, it just be t'ickin'. 00:08:43.12\00:08:45.45 And that's what we're gonna do today, 00:08:45.49\00:08:46.86 but we're gonna stir fry it up a little bit. 00:08:46.89\00:08:48.59 We're gonna over to Asia, you know, get that going. 00:08:48.62\00:08:50.86 We were hanging on in the Caribbean, 00:08:50.93\00:08:52.33 there is also tropical places, A Taste of Paradise in Asia. 00:08:52.36\00:08:56.06 But I love, one of the things 00:08:56.10\00:08:57.53 that I love the most is those stir fries, you know, 00:08:57.57\00:09:00.07 so you get that fresh. 00:09:00.10\00:09:01.44 We're trying to live life fresh. 00:09:01.47\00:09:02.80 Remember what Evita say, we're trying to live life fresh 00:09:02.84\00:09:04.61 but then, you know, sometimes little something warm 00:09:04.64\00:09:06.41 for the belly is always good. 00:09:06.44\00:09:07.78 So we're gonna bring those two together, 00:09:07.81\00:09:09.34 and we're gonna have this nice tasty t'ickin' stir fry, 00:09:09.38\00:09:12.38 very tasty, some situation, matter of fact, 00:09:12.41\00:09:14.28 you can knock it out in no time, it is so good. 00:09:14.35\00:09:17.62 And it's a really simple recipe that we all can do, 00:09:17.65\00:09:20.52 a lot of people... 00:09:20.59\00:09:22.22 We all like Chinese food, or Asian food, 00:09:22.26\00:09:24.73 and we're always taking it out, or taking it to golf, 00:09:24.76\00:09:26.83 we always hitting up the buffets, 00:09:26.86\00:09:28.46 if you know what I'm talking about. 00:09:28.50\00:09:29.93 And sometimes eating a little more than we need, 00:09:29.96\00:09:32.00 but today we're gonna show you 00:09:32.03\00:09:33.37 how to bring that stuff back at home. 00:09:33.44\00:09:34.80 Our whole goal and focus 00:09:34.84\00:09:36.71 is that our home becomes the restaurant, you know. 00:09:36.74\00:09:39.37 And we can make things with a healthy taste 00:09:39.41\00:09:42.31 and a healthy kick to it, we can have paradise at home 00:09:42.34\00:09:45.65 but also it will be good for us and filling. 00:09:45.68\00:09:47.78 So today we're gonna do a little bit of both here. 00:09:47.82\00:09:50.72 We're gonna understand one of the key items, you know, 00:09:50.79\00:09:53.25 when you get that stir fry going, 00:09:53.29\00:09:54.62 it's all about that rice, right? 00:09:54.66\00:09:56.46 And so we're gonna breakdown the anatomy of it 00:09:56.49\00:09:58.83 and show us why there are different types of rice 00:09:58.86\00:10:01.06 but which one is the best one. 00:10:01.10\00:10:03.16 But I'm not gonna even wait any longer 00:10:03.20\00:10:05.13 because I need to get my t'ickin' going here. 00:10:05.17\00:10:07.20 And it's a simple recipe 00:10:07.24\00:10:08.64 to get this tasty t'ickin' stir fry. 00:10:08.67\00:10:11.17 Get your pens, get you papers, it's a lot. 00:10:11.21\00:10:13.94 So write as much as you can 00:10:13.98\00:10:15.91 and the recipe is really, really simple. 00:10:15.94\00:10:18.08 And here it is for you, all you need is: 00:10:18.11\00:10:21.12 We all know broccoli, 00:11:05.46\00:11:06.80 this basically the head of the broccoli 00:11:06.83\00:11:08.80 as you see there. 00:11:08.83\00:11:10.17 I was over here trying to get my pot ready already. 00:11:10.23\00:11:12.77 And so just go ahead and get those items again. 00:11:12.80\00:11:14.67 And we're gonna start 00:11:14.70\00:11:16.04 because first we need to get that tofu going. 00:11:16.07\00:11:17.81 Okay. 00:11:17.84\00:11:19.17 So we have our nice little skillet here, 00:11:19.21\00:11:21.11 we're gonna put on the fire, get this rolling 00:11:21.14\00:11:23.71 because in order to do this as you know stir fry with... 00:11:23.75\00:11:27.02 You have to mix it up a lot 00:11:27.08\00:11:28.42 and if your tofu is not in a good, in a good form 00:11:28.45\00:11:31.75 and it hasn't been cooked properly, 00:11:31.79\00:11:33.12 it's just gonna blend up 00:11:33.15\00:11:34.49 or break up into all of the items. 00:11:34.52\00:11:36.06 So what we gonna do, 00:11:36.09\00:11:37.43 we gonna take tofu as you see here, 00:11:37.49\00:11:38.96 this is just a block of tofu and we're gonna put it. 00:11:38.99\00:11:41.43 I'm just gonna put it in here real quick 00:11:41.46\00:11:42.86 and then you can take a quick look at it. 00:11:42.90\00:11:44.63 So we're gonna take that, 00:11:44.67\00:11:46.00 we're gonna break that up into pieces there 00:11:46.03\00:11:47.87 and this is cubed, okay, 00:11:47.90\00:11:49.54 so you can do it anyway you want, 00:11:49.57\00:11:50.91 you can do a long way, short way, 00:11:50.94\00:11:52.27 you name it and it's all good. 00:11:52.31\00:11:54.01 So this is nicely cubed for you, okay. 00:11:54.04\00:11:58.11 They do sell them cubed 00:11:58.15\00:11:59.55 but, I'm like, it's not even worth it 00:11:59.58\00:12:01.28 because they give you less than the cubed ones. 00:12:01.32\00:12:03.05 And I can cut it myself so just buy the whole block, 00:12:03.08\00:12:05.15 you know, the nice little packages that they have. 00:12:05.19\00:12:07.06 You get that fire going. 00:12:07.09\00:12:08.42 You go ahead now, 00:12:08.46\00:12:09.82 you put just a little bit of that oil over the top here. 00:12:09.86\00:12:12.86 If you don't want to use oil, no problem, don't use it. 00:12:12.89\00:12:15.53 Just make sure you have a nonstick 00:12:15.56\00:12:17.53 but then people say, "Oh, nonstick is no good, 00:12:17.57\00:12:19.23 I just can't keep up with it, 00:12:19.27\00:12:20.60 so little olive oil is not gonna hurt anybody. 00:12:20.64\00:12:23.67 So we get that going, then key ingredient, 00:12:23.71\00:12:26.37 key ingredient is that kickin' chicken style seasoning. 00:12:26.41\00:12:28.88 If you use anything else, 00:12:28.91\00:12:30.25 you would not have t'ickin' you just have tofu chicken. 00:12:30.31\00:12:33.18 Now this makes it into t'ickin' for you. 00:12:33.21\00:12:34.65 All right. 00:12:34.68\00:12:36.02 So you just sprinkle that over nicely, 00:12:36.05\00:12:38.12 I always make a good batch of this 00:12:38.15\00:12:41.46 of kickin' chicken style seasoning 00:12:41.49\00:12:42.82 because if I'm running late or something, 00:12:42.86\00:12:44.49 I could always put it in 00:12:44.53\00:12:45.86 so I even travel 00:12:45.89\00:12:47.36 with a little container of this seasoning 00:12:47.40\00:12:49.46 because I need some good tasty food, 00:12:49.50\00:12:51.33 I don't know about you. 00:12:51.37\00:12:52.70 So you get that going there and then you wanted, 00:12:52.73\00:12:55.00 if you notice you're gonna start 00:12:55.04\00:12:56.37 for bread up a little bit. 00:12:56.40\00:12:57.74 All right. 00:12:57.77\00:12:59.11 So I want this to get going nicely 00:12:59.14\00:13:00.61 'cause once it gets a little hard 00:13:00.68\00:13:03.11 then we can work on the next part of our recipe. 00:13:03.14\00:13:05.71 All right. So just a little thing about this tofu. 00:13:05.75\00:13:08.05 I heard somebody say some bad rap about the tofu. 00:13:08.08\00:13:12.59 They said, tofu causing this problem 00:13:12.62\00:13:14.36 and that problem and all of these things. 00:13:14.39\00:13:16.83 And they say, may be causing cancer 00:13:16.86\00:13:18.96 and I'm like, where does this information come from? 00:13:18.99\00:13:21.53 You know, if the tofu was so bad, 00:13:21.56\00:13:23.43 then everybody in Asia should not be alive right now, 00:13:23.47\00:13:26.47 because when you think of tofu, who eats the most tofu? 00:13:26.50\00:13:28.97 The people in Asia. 00:13:29.00\00:13:30.37 Is cancer very high in Asia? 00:13:30.41\00:13:31.74 No, it's actually very low, 00:13:31.77\00:13:33.11 they did a special study called the China Study 00:13:33.14\00:13:34.88 and they studied individuals who live like this 00:13:34.91\00:13:39.05 and they found out that cancer was very low. 00:13:39.08\00:13:41.22 So if the theory of tofu 00:13:41.25\00:13:43.39 causing cancer was so true or... 00:13:43.45\00:13:45.85 And there may be some studies and they can show, 00:13:45.89\00:13:48.72 then everybody in Asia should have cancer, 00:13:48.76\00:13:50.53 so it's actually pretty good for you. 00:13:50.59\00:13:53.86 It has what is known as phytoestrogens, 00:13:53.90\00:13:55.73 which does the complete opposite of estrogen. 00:13:55.76\00:13:58.43 When we think of estrogen, 00:13:58.47\00:13:59.80 estrogen causes things to expand and grow, 00:13:59.83\00:14:01.97 you know, you put in animal feeds 00:14:02.00\00:14:03.34 so you get bigger faster or more blessed. 00:14:03.41\00:14:05.81 But actually phytoestrogens does the opposite. 00:14:05.84\00:14:07.91 If that was the case, 00:14:07.94\00:14:09.28 then we shouldn't even be eating broccoli, your apples, 00:14:09.31\00:14:11.45 and other foods that contain phytoestrogens. 00:14:11.48\00:14:14.58 So it's pretty good, 00:14:14.62\00:14:15.95 but here is the one thing 00:14:15.98\00:14:17.32 that I can agree with other individuals on, 00:14:17.39\00:14:19.69 two much of anything is gonna cause the problem. 00:14:19.72\00:14:21.92 Sometimes we wake up in the morning 00:14:21.96\00:14:23.83 and we drink soy milk, 00:14:23.86\00:14:25.36 and then we have soy milk, and then we have soy cereal, 00:14:25.39\00:14:29.30 then we have scrambled tofu, which is made from soy. 00:14:29.33\00:14:31.70 Okay, so that's just too much, then we go to work 00:14:31.73\00:14:33.94 and we're snacking on some roasted soy nuts, 00:14:34.00\00:14:35.97 then when we get to work at lunch time 00:14:36.00\00:14:37.51 we have a soy smoothie. 00:14:37.57\00:14:39.27 Then we have what kind of veggie burger? 00:14:39.31\00:14:40.88 A veggie burger made from soy. 00:14:40.94\00:14:42.28 But what kind of cheese? Soy cheese. 00:14:42.31\00:14:43.85 What kind of mayonnaise? Soy mayonnaise. 00:14:43.91\00:14:45.38 Then you get home you eat rice 00:14:45.41\00:14:46.78 with some tofu t'ickin' or tasty t'ickin' 00:14:46.82\00:14:49.55 and the body is like too much of tofu. 00:14:49.58\00:14:51.75 So the only thing we want to keep eye on 00:14:51.79\00:14:53.92 is not to overdo it, is that fair reasonable? 00:14:53.96\00:14:56.79 Can we all agree on something here today? 00:14:56.83\00:14:59.46 Oops, and there you go, 00:14:59.49\00:15:00.93 then you see me here making a mess 00:15:00.96\00:15:02.26 but no problem 00:15:02.30\00:15:04.10 I have some oil here to just back it up. 00:15:04.17\00:15:06.97 All right. 00:15:07.04\00:15:08.37 So you get that oil going, 00:15:08.40\00:15:10.04 then let me just go ahead and clean up, 00:15:10.11\00:15:12.07 we're in a kitchen today. 00:15:12.11\00:15:13.48 All right. 00:15:13.51\00:15:14.84 Not too much, we don't wanna end up frying the stuff, 00:15:14.88\00:15:17.15 but you just wanna get it nice and kind of thick little, 00:15:17.18\00:15:21.78 you know, crust around the end and stuff, 00:15:21.82\00:15:23.69 so that will get going. 00:15:23.72\00:15:25.82 Then we're gonna go ahead shortly 00:15:25.85\00:15:27.92 and once this is ready, 00:15:27.96\00:15:30.13 we're gonna mix this thing with the other ingredients. 00:15:30.16\00:15:32.06 But I'm gonna talk about brown rice right now. 00:15:32.09\00:15:34.66 Brown rice is crucial. 00:15:34.73\00:15:36.03 We have our two cups of brown rice right here. 00:15:36.06\00:15:38.00 This thing is phenomenal for you. 00:15:38.03\00:15:39.40 I encourage everybody, make sure you use brown rice. 00:15:39.43\00:15:41.87 And, of course, the big difference of brown rice 00:15:41.90\00:15:43.77 and white rice is that, 00:15:43.81\00:15:45.14 the white rice has been degermed 00:15:45.17\00:15:47.14 and the fiber has been taken off of it. 00:15:47.18\00:15:49.38 And if you take a quick look or just view with me here, 00:15:49.41\00:15:53.78 there are three parts to every whole grain. 00:15:53.82\00:15:56.12 One part is the bran or the fiber 00:15:56.15\00:15:58.55 that's on the outside as you can, 00:15:58.59\00:16:00.39 you know, imagine what you can see there. 00:16:00.42\00:16:02.49 And then there is another part which is called the endosperm 00:16:02.52\00:16:05.99 that's your white rice 00:16:06.03\00:16:07.40 and then there is one more part 00:16:07.46\00:16:08.83 at the bottom of it which is the germ. 00:16:08.86\00:16:10.97 I'll show you how to make three sources of income 00:16:11.00\00:16:12.77 of a one whole grain of rice or wheat. 00:16:12.80\00:16:15.60 You take off the germ 00:16:15.64\00:16:17.41 and you put that in a bottle and they call it what? 00:16:17.44\00:16:20.18 Wheat germ, high in vitamin A, high in E, 00:16:20.21\00:16:23.88 add that back to your healthy high fiber cereal, 00:16:23.95\00:16:27.22 which is bran flakes. 00:16:27.25\00:16:28.62 Oh, God, you just pulled off the bran 00:16:28.65\00:16:30.99 and now you put it in cereal and you say, 00:16:31.02\00:16:32.55 "Hey, eat your high fiber cereal." 00:16:32.59\00:16:34.06 Then you say, fortify your cereal 00:16:34.09\00:16:35.62 with a bottle of wheat germ or add wheat germ to it. 00:16:35.66\00:16:38.43 So that's already two sources of income, 00:16:38.46\00:16:40.53 and then the last part is what? 00:16:40.60\00:16:43.10 The white rice. 00:16:43.13\00:16:44.47 So if you take a quick look at me, 00:16:44.50\00:16:45.83 I'll show you three types of rice that is, 00:16:45.87\00:16:48.10 that is out there in general. 00:16:48.14\00:16:50.07 You have the brown rice right here. 00:16:50.11\00:16:52.67 This is a whole grain rice, you see it. 00:16:52.71\00:16:54.74 It's really nice and thick there, 00:16:54.78\00:16:56.85 it has the three parts. 00:16:56.91\00:16:58.25 If you look at it really close, you see the three parts to it. 00:16:58.28\00:17:01.18 And then at the end of it, 00:17:01.22\00:17:02.55 you see a little white part which is the germ. Okay. 00:17:02.58\00:17:06.12 Then what they do is, they rip off the fiber, 00:17:06.15\00:17:08.69 they rip off the germ and then you end up with what? 00:17:08.72\00:17:12.36 This right here, take a look, this is white rice. 00:17:12.39\00:17:14.83 Okay, so this doesn't have the fiber, 00:17:14.86\00:17:17.70 this doesn't have the germ, that's white rice. 00:17:17.73\00:17:19.43 Okay. 00:17:19.47\00:17:20.84 Then what they do is they make another rice for you 00:17:20.87\00:17:23.94 what they treated a little bit, this is called, it looks brown, 00:17:24.01\00:17:28.64 but it ain't brown rice 00:17:28.68\00:17:30.15 and this is right here carbo rice, did you see that? 00:17:30.18\00:17:33.18 That's been treated for you. 00:17:33.21\00:17:35.02 I mean, people say, "Hey, I've been eating this rice, 00:17:35.05\00:17:36.82 I thought it was brown rice." 00:17:36.89\00:17:38.22 It look brown, but it's not as you see here, 00:17:38.25\00:17:42.49 the actual whole grain brown rice. 00:17:42.52\00:17:45.43 Y'all following with me here. And now... 00:21:19.17\00:21:21.18 So you're gonna go ahead, 00:21:21.21\00:21:22.54 you gonna do that till it's nice and... 00:21:22.58\00:21:24.95 The broccoli, the broccoli is there. 00:21:24.98\00:21:26.45 Let me tell you something about that broccoli. 00:21:26.48\00:21:27.82 That broccoli is amazing for you or emazing 00:21:27.85\00:21:31.09 because they say it's excellent, 00:21:31.12\00:21:32.45 so they spell it with a E. 00:21:32.49\00:21:33.82 Why is it amazing, because it's one of the best 00:21:33.86\00:21:36.79 anticarcinogenic fighters out there. 00:21:36.83\00:21:39.29 It's in the same family, of course, 00:21:39.33\00:21:40.66 as you know as the cauliflower, also like, you know, 00:21:40.70\00:21:44.63 related over there to the cabbage as we see here. 00:21:44.67\00:21:47.30 These items are very good. 00:21:47.37\00:21:49.07 Only thing is some people eat it raw, most times they say, 00:21:49.10\00:21:51.81 "Hey, just go ahead and steam it a little bit." 00:21:51.84\00:21:53.71 Because like let's say with cabbage, okay. 00:21:53.74\00:21:55.71 Cabbage has a item in it, it's called goitrin, all right. 00:21:55.74\00:21:58.88 So when you eat it raw, it has a antithyroidal affect, 00:21:58.91\00:22:02.58 meaning that it doesn't allow the thyroid to function 00:22:02.62\00:22:06.19 at its optimal capability. 00:22:06.22\00:22:08.42 Now many people say, "Oh, is that bad or good?" 00:22:08.46\00:22:10.13 Well, if a person has hyperthyroid, 00:22:10.16\00:22:12.46 which means what? 00:22:12.49\00:22:13.83 The thyroid is overacting, you know, they're sweating, 00:22:13.90\00:22:15.96 their heart is raising all the time, 00:22:16.00\00:22:17.53 then they'll use some what? 00:22:17.57\00:22:18.90 Raw cabbage. 00:22:18.93\00:22:20.27 It's a nice little natural remedy 00:22:20.30\00:22:21.64 but please, before you do anything, 00:22:21.67\00:22:23.00 don't run home and tell everybody 00:22:23.04\00:22:24.37 who was hyperthyroid eat raw cabbages, 00:22:24.41\00:22:25.74 it's good for you. 00:22:25.77\00:22:27.14 And the doctor already has them on a plan. 00:22:27.18\00:22:28.54 Let your doctor know everything that you're doing. 00:22:28.58\00:22:30.11 But watch this, if a person has hypothyroid 00:22:30.15\00:22:32.98 that means underacting, there you find out 00:22:33.01\00:22:35.08 that they're adding on more blessings, 00:22:35.12\00:22:37.15 they feel, "I'm really sluggish all the time." 00:22:37.19\00:22:39.19 Then I would recommend that they don't hold, 00:22:39.22\00:22:42.62 they don't use as much raw items 00:22:42.66\00:22:45.46 in the form of cabbage 00:22:45.49\00:22:47.36 if they have hypothyroid issues 00:22:47.40\00:22:51.00 because then it will slow that down even more. 00:22:51.03\00:22:53.03 Are we saying it's bad? 00:22:53.07\00:22:54.40 No, it's actually good 00:22:54.44\00:22:55.77 but just in those specific situations, 00:22:55.80\00:22:59.44 we'll find some caution there. 00:22:59.47\00:23:01.51 Okay. 00:23:01.54\00:23:02.88 So here we go, that's rolling, 00:23:02.91\00:23:04.61 it's looking good, looking excellent. 00:23:04.65\00:23:07.22 So we have that broccoli... 00:23:07.25\00:23:08.58 Let's say you don't have broccoli in your house, 00:23:08.62\00:23:10.19 you only have cauliflower or something. 00:23:10.22\00:23:12.12 That's what you're gonna use, just use cauliflower, 00:23:12.15\00:23:14.16 use whatever veggie you have. 00:23:14.19\00:23:15.66 If you wanna put bean shoots or... 00:23:15.69\00:23:18.76 You know, how we do it and, you know, the Chinese, 00:23:18.79\00:23:20.80 I remember, man, back in the days, man. 00:23:20.83\00:23:22.70 We used to order some of that fried rice 00:23:22.73\00:23:24.57 and it wasn't t'ickin' fried rice, 00:23:24.60\00:23:25.93 you know, what I'm talking about, 00:23:25.97\00:23:27.30 it's straight out chicken fried rice. 00:23:27.34\00:23:28.67 But now we're learning to do better, of course, 00:23:28.70\00:23:31.71 and choose better options as you see here. 00:23:31.74\00:23:35.04 And so it doesn't mean 00:23:35.08\00:23:36.81 that we have to avoid these foods anymore. 00:23:36.85\00:23:40.48 What it means is let's go ahead 00:23:40.52\00:23:41.92 and give people something better. 00:23:41.95\00:23:43.59 Won't you choose a better option? 00:23:43.65\00:23:45.29 And you can do it yourself at home, 00:23:45.32\00:23:47.22 everybody would truly enjoy it, 00:23:47.26\00:23:49.02 and it's actually helpful for you. 00:23:49.06\00:23:50.89 So now, our fried rice is coming along nicely. 00:23:50.93\00:23:54.60 I'm gonna go ahead 00:23:54.63\00:23:55.96 and I'm gonna take that t'ickin', 00:23:56.00\00:23:57.63 and I'm just gonna go ahead and pour that in there. 00:23:57.67\00:24:00.84 All right. 00:24:03.27\00:24:04.74 Oh, man, it looks like 00:24:04.77\00:24:06.11 I got more t'ickin' in here than rice. 00:24:06.14\00:24:08.34 But, hey, no worries, this is actually good for you. 00:24:08.38\00:24:12.11 So that right there it's just gonna go ahead 00:24:12.15\00:24:15.32 and cook together nicely. 00:24:15.35\00:24:16.69 We're gonna get that the flavors rolling 00:24:16.72\00:24:18.65 and because now 00:24:18.69\00:24:20.06 that the t'ickin' has been cooked well. 00:24:20.09\00:24:22.56 It's not gonna break up or mash up 00:24:22.59\00:24:26.19 like it would normally, 00:24:26.23\00:24:27.60 if you just put in there and it's like fresh steak 00:24:27.60\00:24:30.33 or like whole steak there. 00:24:30.37\00:24:32.10 So here we go. 00:24:32.13\00:24:33.90 Oh, man, this is smelling good. 00:24:33.94\00:24:35.64 Matter of fact, I think, I'm eating too much here. 00:24:35.67\00:24:39.27 While, it's cooking here, 00:24:39.31\00:24:40.64 I'm gonna add on some extra blessings. 00:24:40.68\00:24:42.28 So y'all need to hurry up and make this yourself, 00:24:42.31\00:24:44.31 so I don't get in trouble. 00:24:44.35\00:24:46.08 You get that rolling, 00:24:46.11\00:24:47.48 I'm just gonna clean up here nicely. 00:24:47.52\00:24:50.09 And you're pretty much almost done with it. 00:24:50.15\00:24:54.66 Now, if you need the broccoli to cook a little bit more, 00:24:54.69\00:24:57.03 one thing that you can do before you make this recipe, 00:24:57.09\00:24:59.43 you can steam the broccoli and that may be your option. 00:24:59.46\00:25:04.37 What else could you do? 00:26:04.69\00:26:07.40 Well, tofu doesn't have vitamin B12. 00:26:07.46\00:26:09.73 Well, that's obvious because only in general 00:26:09.76\00:26:12.10 animal products have vitamin B12. 00:26:12.13\00:26:14.57 Some people may develop allergies 00:26:14.60\00:26:16.17 and we talked about that a little bit. 00:26:16.20\00:26:17.71 How do you develop an allergy? 00:26:17.74\00:26:19.07 You just overuse it. 00:26:19.11\00:26:20.48 You use it in the morning, you use it in the afternoon. 00:26:20.51\00:26:22.38 Matter of fact the other day 00:26:22.41\00:26:23.75 I saw a detergent that was based on soy. 00:26:23.78\00:26:28.18 And so this soy thing is like getting out of controls 00:26:28.22\00:26:30.79 because we're using too much of it, 00:26:30.82\00:26:32.92 but soy is actually a good thing. 00:26:32.95\00:26:34.69 And a matter of fact, I wanna tell you something. 00:26:34.72\00:26:36.32 When I hear bad news about God's good products, I smile, 00:26:36.36\00:26:39.93 and I pull out my wallet. 00:26:40.00\00:26:41.70 People say, "What are you talking about?" 00:26:41.73\00:26:43.06 The other day, not too long ago, 00:26:43.10\00:26:44.43 they were saying, "Oh, almonds are no good for you." 00:26:44.47\00:26:46.40 I'm like, "What? Who said almonds are no good?" 00:26:46.43\00:26:48.47 Well, the way they process it, they radiate it, 00:26:48.50\00:26:50.81 and do all kind of stuff. 00:26:50.87\00:26:52.21 I said, "Look, that's fine." 00:26:52.24\00:26:53.58 I called my buddy, I said, 00:26:53.61\00:26:54.94 "You heard the news that's out?" 00:26:54.98\00:26:56.31 And he was like, "What are you talking about?" 00:26:56.34\00:26:57.68 They say, "Almonds are no good for you." 00:26:57.71\00:26:59.05 I said, "Are you ready?" He said, "Yeah." 00:26:59.08\00:27:00.55 I said, "I'm ready, how much you got?" 00:27:00.58\00:27:01.92 You $50, I got $50. 00:27:01.95\00:27:03.42 We bought over a $100 in almonds. 00:27:03.45\00:27:07.02 Now people say, "Wait a second 00:27:07.09\00:27:08.42 but bad news was out on almonds." 00:27:08.46\00:27:09.79 I believe the Lord in his wisdom 00:27:09.82\00:27:12.03 allow bad news to come out on good products. 00:27:12.06\00:27:15.50 Let me explain. 00:27:15.53\00:27:17.17 If they knew how powerful almonds, or soy, 00:27:17.20\00:27:20.77 and all these other beans, and nuts, 00:27:20.84\00:27:22.47 and these natural things. 00:27:22.50\00:27:23.84 If people knew how good it was, the price will be what, 00:27:23.91\00:27:27.31 too high that not even a poor person can afford it. 00:27:27.38\00:27:29.98 So the Lord in His wisdoms, I believe sometimes allows 00:27:30.05\00:27:32.45 bad news to go out on good products 00:27:32.48\00:27:34.38 because what happens to the price? 00:27:34.42\00:27:35.75 The price drops. 00:27:35.78\00:27:37.12 So what happens to the price of almonds? 00:27:37.19\00:27:38.52 It drops. 00:27:38.55\00:27:39.89 So we bought a whole huge amount of almonds there, 00:27:39.92\00:27:42.62 and so I wanna encourage you don't worry 00:27:42.66\00:27:45.03 when you hear this news 00:27:45.06\00:27:46.46 about good products that God has given us. 00:27:46.49\00:27:48.33 And here is the final product in nice, 00:27:48.36\00:27:50.13 little pretty way that you can take a quick look at it there. 00:27:50.17\00:27:53.60 A lot of people truly enjoy this, 00:27:53.64\00:27:55.34 and this is the t'ickin' 00:27:55.37\00:27:57.21 the t'ickin' tasty t'ickin' stir fry. 00:27:57.27\00:27:59.87 Enjoy it. 00:27:59.91\00:28:01.31
