Have you ever wondered 00:00:01.36\00:00:02.70 exactly how to prepare healthy food 00:00:02.73\00:00:04.13 that actually tastes good? 00:00:04.17\00:00:05.97 Well, stay tuned while Evita Tezeno, 00:00:06.00\00:00:07.84 and yours truly Nyse Collins show you just how to do it 00:00:07.87\00:00:10.97 and give you something better, A Taste of Paradise. 00:00:11.01\00:00:13.98 Welcome to A Taste of Paradise. 00:00:31.76\00:00:33.63 My name is Evita Tezeno 00:00:33.66\00:00:36.33 and today I have a treat for you, guys. 00:00:36.36\00:00:41.94 I am making lemon pie. 00:00:41.97\00:00:45.21 Oh, my, lemon pie, can you believe it? 00:00:45.24\00:00:50.31 And you said, "A lemon pie, is it raw?" 00:00:50.35\00:00:53.52 Of course, of course, it's raw. 00:00:53.55\00:00:57.22 And we're gonna begin with the crust. 00:00:57.25\00:00:59.22 Okay. 00:01:16.81\00:01:18.64 Remember to always soak your nuts 00:01:18.67\00:01:22.01 because they have enzyme inhibitors on them. 00:01:22.04\00:01:25.25 I must remember that, 00:01:25.28\00:01:28.65 and then we put the cashews and the almonds, 00:01:28.68\00:01:33.92 the lemon juice. 00:01:33.96\00:01:35.62 I mean, the lemon zest, not the juice, maple syrup... 00:01:35.66\00:01:38.73 the coconut 00:01:43.47\00:01:47.24 and some salt. 00:01:47.27\00:01:50.14 And then we're gonna process it. 00:01:50.17\00:01:51.51 And this is a fabulous, no bake crust 00:02:10.03\00:02:14.10 that you can use basically with any recipe 00:02:14.13\00:02:17.17 and you can just take out the lemon zest 00:02:17.20\00:02:20.14 and you can use it 00:02:20.17\00:02:22.10 with different other pie recipes. 00:02:22.14\00:02:26.41 So we have our pie pan 00:02:26.44\00:02:32.38 and we're taking a little coconut oil 00:02:32.41\00:02:36.12 and we're greasing the pie pan 00:02:36.15\00:02:38.79 so we will not, 00:02:38.82\00:02:42.09 so we won't stick. 00:02:42.12\00:02:43.46 And my hands are clean 00:02:47.83\00:02:49.16 so we're gonna use some of the pie crust 00:02:49.20\00:02:53.07 and we're just gonna press it in. 00:02:53.10\00:02:55.94 Very, very simple. 00:02:55.97\00:02:59.57 And what I like to do after it's all pressed in, 00:02:59.61\00:03:03.08 I like to stick it in the freezer for a bit 00:03:03.11\00:03:06.82 so it firms up. 00:03:06.85\00:03:09.12 But it's according to your preference, 00:03:09.15\00:03:12.65 I just like to do that. 00:03:12.69\00:03:16.73 You continue to press it and, you know, 00:03:16.76\00:03:21.33 I have friends that tramp, 00:03:21.36\00:03:24.43 they say that they don't make the pie like I do. 00:03:24.47\00:03:28.00 So they come and visit me 00:03:28.04\00:03:29.47 when they know I'm making this pie. 00:03:29.50\00:03:33.04 And I serve this one time 00:03:33.07\00:03:35.04 at one of my apartment's gathering 00:03:35.08\00:03:40.22 and everybody was asking me for the recipe. 00:03:40.25\00:03:44.12 It is so delicious 00:03:44.15\00:03:48.12 and it's sweet and it's, 00:03:48.16\00:03:52.79 it's just a great recipe. 00:03:52.83\00:03:55.53 So after you have placed all the crust 00:03:55.56\00:04:00.80 into the pie pan, 00:04:00.84\00:04:03.84 now we're gonna make the filling. 00:04:03.87\00:04:06.57 And the recipe for the filling is: 00:04:06.61\00:04:08.88 Okay, so now we're gonna do the filling, 00:04:33.10\00:04:37.27 and we're using the Vitamix 00:04:37.31\00:04:40.04 and the filling consist of a young coconut. 00:04:40.08\00:04:45.21 Remember, this is a young coconut 00:04:45.25\00:04:48.78 before it matures and turn brown. 00:04:48.82\00:04:51.15 And this is loaded with antioxidants 00:04:51.19\00:04:55.12 and it's also loaded with great, great energy. 00:04:55.16\00:05:02.06 So this is the coconut cut, diced into small pieces. 00:05:02.10\00:05:08.67 We have the coconut oil... 00:05:13.38\00:05:15.14 the maple syrup, and you can use maple syrup 00:05:18.61\00:05:21.08 or you can use honey, 00:05:21.12\00:05:23.18 or you can use agave, 00:05:23.22\00:05:25.15 any liquid sweetener would do. 00:05:25.19\00:05:29.12 You have a vanilla and lemon zest. 00:05:29.16\00:05:32.26 What lemon zest is it is the rind of the lemon 00:05:32.29\00:05:36.67 and you grade it, you zest it or grade it down 00:05:36.70\00:05:41.30 right before you get to the white or the lemon, 00:05:41.34\00:05:46.04 the actual fruit of the lemon, 00:05:46.07\00:05:48.84 because if you put the little white part in of the zest, 00:05:48.88\00:05:53.11 it's a little bitter. 00:05:53.15\00:05:54.48 So you just want to get the skin of the lemon, 00:05:54.52\00:05:56.42 just the outer part of the lemon. 00:05:56.45\00:06:00.79 And that's what lemon zest is. 00:06:00.82\00:06:05.26 Fresh lemon juice. 00:06:05.29\00:06:07.00 Now I really don't like using the concentrate 00:06:07.03\00:06:10.07 out of the bottle, 00:06:10.10\00:06:11.43 you want to use fresh 'cause fresh is fabulous. 00:06:11.47\00:06:13.80 And the turmeric which makes it the yellow color. 00:06:17.67\00:06:20.68 And then we're going to blend. 00:06:24.41\00:06:26.25 Now after all the ingredients have been blended... 00:06:49.37\00:06:52.57 you want to pour this into your pie crust. 00:06:55.81\00:06:58.21 And then you want to spread it around. 00:07:04.19\00:07:06.42 Then you want to set this into a freezer 00:07:11.69\00:07:16.23 for about maybe six hours 00:07:16.26\00:07:19.23 so you wanted to harden up. 00:07:19.27\00:07:22.80 And I have a finished product. 00:07:22.84\00:07:25.27 I can't wait for you guys to see this. 00:07:25.31\00:07:28.94 Let me clear out all my dishes. 00:07:28.98\00:07:34.88 And here, look at it. 00:07:34.92\00:07:37.72 Now this one I forgot to put the turmeric in 00:07:37.75\00:07:40.42 but it's still is delicious. 00:07:40.46\00:07:45.06 And here you have it 00:07:45.09\00:07:47.10 the lemon pie that everybody dreams off. 00:07:47.13\00:07:51.33 It is a raw lemon pie. 00:07:51.37\00:07:55.00 This is Evita Tezeno with A Taste of Paradise, 00:07:55.04\00:07:59.61 and remember to live life fresh. 00:07:59.64\00:08:03.28 Wow, wow Evita, man, she is hooking us up today. 00:08:11.35\00:08:15.86 That thing was scrumptious that pie. 00:08:15.89\00:08:18.36 Oh, my goodness I had one, I wanted more 00:08:18.39\00:08:21.00 but it was all done. 00:08:21.03\00:08:22.36 And I wanna encourage that y'all better go ahead 00:08:22.40\00:08:24.03 and make that. 00:08:24.07\00:08:25.40 I've already had my dessert first, 00:08:25.43\00:08:26.77 but now I need a main course. 00:08:26.80\00:08:28.14 And so today we're gonna do something very, 00:08:28.17\00:08:29.90 very special, it's called the tasty t'ickin' stir fry. 00:08:29.94\00:08:33.68 People like this, "Brother, oh, he's making up names." 00:08:33.71\00:08:35.94 And now let me repeat tasty what, 00:08:35.98\00:08:38.58 t'ickin' this is not chicken, 00:08:38.61\00:08:40.42 it's not tofu but it's the combination, 00:08:40.45\00:08:43.12 it taste so good, it just be t'ickin'. 00:08:43.15\00:08:45.49 And that's what we're gonna do today, 00:08:45.52\00:08:46.86 but we're gonna stir fry it up a little bit. 00:08:46.89\00:08:48.62 We're gonna over to Asia, you know, get that going. 00:08:48.66\00:08:50.89 We were hanging on in the Caribbean, 00:08:50.93\00:08:52.36 there is also tropical places, A Taste of Paradise in Asia. 00:08:52.39\00:08:56.13 But I love, one of the things 00:08:56.16\00:08:57.57 that I love the most is those stir fries, you know, 00:08:57.60\00:09:00.04 so you get that fresh. 00:09:00.07\00:09:01.40 We're trying to live life fresh. 00:09:01.44\00:09:02.77 Remember what Evita say, we're trying to live life fresh 00:09:02.80\00:09:04.61 but then, you know, sometimes little something warm 00:09:04.64\00:09:06.41 for the belly is always good. 00:09:06.44\00:09:07.78 So we're gonna bring those two together, 00:09:07.81\00:09:09.34 and we're gonna have this nice tasty t'ickin' stir fry, 00:09:09.38\00:09:12.38 very tasty, some situation, matter of fact, 00:09:12.41\00:09:14.28 you can knock it out in no time, it is so good. 00:09:14.32\00:09:17.59 And it's a really simple recipe that we all can do, 00:09:17.62\00:09:20.52 a lot of people... 00:09:20.56\00:09:22.22 We all like Chinese food, or Asian food, 00:09:22.26\00:09:24.73 and we're always taking it out, or taking it to golf, 00:09:24.76\00:09:26.80 we always hitting up the buffets, 00:09:26.83\00:09:28.50 if you know what I'm talking about. 00:09:28.53\00:09:29.96 And sometimes eating a little more than we need, 00:09:30.00\00:09:32.03 but today we're gonna show you 00:09:32.07\00:09:33.40 how to bring that stuff back at home. 00:09:33.44\00:09:34.84 Our whole goal and focus 00:09:34.87\00:09:36.71 is that our home becomes the restaurant, you know. 00:09:36.74\00:09:39.41 And we can make things with a healthy taste 00:09:39.44\00:09:42.34 and a healthy kick to it, we can have paradise at home 00:09:42.38\00:09:45.68 but also it will be good for us and filling. 00:09:45.71\00:09:47.82 So today we're gonna do a little bit of both here. 00:09:47.85\00:09:50.75 We're gonna understand one of the key items, you know, 00:09:50.79\00:09:53.29 when you get that stir fry going, 00:09:53.32\00:09:54.66 it's all about that rice, right? 00:09:54.69\00:09:56.49 And so we're gonna breakdown the anatomy of it 00:09:56.52\00:09:58.86 and show us why there are different types of rice 00:09:58.89\00:10:01.13 but which one is the best one. 00:10:01.16\00:10:03.23 But I'm not gonna even wait any longer 00:10:03.26\00:10:05.20 because I need to get my t'ickin' going here. 00:10:05.23\00:10:07.27 And it's a simple recipe 00:10:07.30\00:10:08.70 to get this tasty t'ickin' stir fry. 00:10:08.74\00:10:11.24 Get your pens, get you papers, it's a lot. 00:10:11.27\00:10:13.98 So write as much as you can 00:10:14.01\00:10:15.98 and the recipe is really, really simple. 00:10:16.01\00:10:18.15 And here it is for you, all you need is: 00:10:18.18\00:10:21.18 We all know broccoli, 00:11:05.49\00:11:06.83 this basically the head of the broccoli 00:11:06.86\00:11:08.86 as you see there. 00:11:08.90\00:11:10.23 I was over here trying to get my pot ready already. 00:11:10.27\00:11:12.83 And so just go ahead and get those items again. 00:11:12.87\00:11:14.74 And we're gonna start 00:11:14.77\00:11:16.10 because first we need to get that tofu going. 00:11:16.14\00:11:17.87 Okay. 00:11:17.91\00:11:19.24 So we have our nice little skillet here, 00:11:19.27\00:11:21.18 we're gonna put on the fire, get this rolling 00:11:21.21\00:11:23.78 because in order to do this as you know stir fry with... 00:11:23.81\00:11:27.08 You have to mix it up a lot 00:11:27.12\00:11:28.45 and if your tofu is not in a good, in a good form 00:11:28.48\00:11:31.82 and it hasn't been cooked properly, 00:11:31.85\00:11:33.19 it's just gonna blend up 00:11:33.22\00:11:34.56 or break up into all of the items. 00:11:34.59\00:11:36.12 So what we gonna do, 00:11:36.16\00:11:37.49 we gonna take tofu as you see here, 00:11:37.53\00:11:39.03 this is just a block of tofu and we're gonna put it. 00:11:39.06\00:11:41.53 I'm just gonna put it in here real quick 00:11:41.56\00:11:42.96 and then you can take a quick look at it. 00:11:43.00\00:11:44.73 So we're gonna take that, 00:11:44.77\00:11:46.10 we're gonna break that up into pieces there 00:11:46.13\00:11:47.97 and this is cubed, okay, 00:11:48.00\00:11:49.64 so you can do it anyway you want, 00:11:49.67\00:11:51.01 you can do a long way, short way, 00:11:51.04\00:11:52.37 you name it and it's all good. 00:11:52.41\00:11:54.08 So this is nicely cubed for you, okay. 00:11:54.11\00:11:58.21 They do sell them cubed 00:11:58.25\00:11:59.65 but, I'm like, it's not even worth it 00:11:59.68\00:12:01.32 because they give you less than the cubed ones. 00:12:01.35\00:12:03.08 And I can cut it myself so just buy the whole block, 00:12:03.12\00:12:05.19 you know, the nice little packages that they have. 00:12:05.22\00:12:07.09 You get that fire going. 00:12:07.12\00:12:08.46 You go ahead now, 00:12:08.49\00:12:09.86 you put just a little bit of that oil over the top here. 00:12:09.89\00:12:12.89 If you don't want to use oil, no problem, don't use it. 00:12:12.93\00:12:15.60 Just make sure you have a nonstick 00:12:15.63\00:12:17.57 but then people say, "Oh, nonstick is no good, 00:12:17.60\00:12:19.30 I just can't keep up with it, 00:12:19.33\00:12:20.67 so little olive oil is not gonna hurt anybody. 00:12:20.70\00:12:23.74 So we get that going, then key ingredient, 00:12:23.77\00:12:26.44 key ingredient is that kickin' chicken style seasoning. 00:12:26.47\00:12:28.94 If you use anything else, 00:12:28.98\00:12:30.31 you would not have t'ickin' you just have tofu chicken. 00:12:30.35\00:12:33.25 Now this makes it into t'ickin' for you. 00:12:33.28\00:12:34.72 All right. 00:12:34.75\00:12:36.08 So you just sprinkle that over nicely, 00:12:36.12\00:12:38.19 I always make a good batch of this 00:12:38.22\00:12:41.52 of kickin' chicken style seasoning 00:12:41.56\00:12:42.89 because if I'm running late or something, 00:12:42.92\00:12:44.56 I could always put it in 00:12:44.59\00:12:45.93 so I even travel 00:12:45.96\00:12:47.40 with a little container of this seasoning 00:12:47.43\00:12:49.56 because I need some good tasty food, 00:12:49.60\00:12:51.43 I don't know about you. 00:12:51.47\00:12:52.80 So you get that going there and then you wanted, 00:12:52.83\00:12:55.10 if you notice you're gonna start 00:12:55.14\00:12:56.47 for bread up a little bit. 00:12:56.50\00:12:57.84 All right. 00:12:57.87\00:12:59.21 So I want this to get going nicely 00:12:59.24\00:13:00.64 'cause once it gets a little hard 00:13:00.68\00:13:03.14 then we can work on the next part of our recipe. 00:13:03.18\00:13:05.75 All right. So just a little thing about this tofu. 00:13:05.78\00:13:08.08 I heard somebody say some bad rap about the tofu. 00:13:08.12\00:13:12.62 They said, tofu causing this problem 00:13:12.65\00:13:14.39 and that problem and all of these things. 00:13:14.42\00:13:16.83 And they say, may be causing cancer 00:13:16.86\00:13:18.99 and I'm like, where does this information come from? 00:13:19.03\00:13:21.60 You know, if the tofu was so bad, 00:13:21.63\00:13:23.50 then everybody in Asia should not be alive right now, 00:13:23.53\00:13:26.53 because when you think of tofu, who eats the most tofu? 00:13:26.57\00:13:29.04 The people in Asia. 00:13:29.07\00:13:30.41 Is cancer very high in Asia? 00:13:30.44\00:13:31.81 No, it's actually very low, 00:13:31.84\00:13:33.17 they did a special study called the China Study 00:13:33.21\00:13:34.94 and they studied individuals who live like this 00:13:34.98\00:13:39.11 and they found out that cancer was very low. 00:13:39.15\00:13:41.28 So if the theory of tofu 00:13:41.32\00:13:43.45 causing cancer was so true or... 00:13:43.49\00:13:45.92 And there may be some studies and they can show, 00:13:45.95\00:13:48.79 then everybody in Asia should have cancer, 00:13:48.82\00:13:50.59 so it's actually pretty good for you. 00:13:50.63\00:13:53.93 It has what is known as phytoestrogens, 00:13:53.96\00:13:55.83 which does the complete opposite of estrogen. 00:13:55.86\00:13:58.53 When we think of estrogen, 00:13:58.57\00:13:59.90 estrogen causes things to expand and grow, 00:13:59.93\00:14:02.00 you know, you put in animal feeds 00:14:02.04\00:14:03.37 so you get bigger faster or more blessed. 00:14:03.41\00:14:05.84 But actually phytoestrogens does the opposite. 00:14:05.87\00:14:07.94 If that was the case, 00:14:07.98\00:14:09.31 then we shouldn't even be eating broccoli, your apples, 00:14:09.34\00:14:11.48 and other foods that contain phytoestrogens. 00:14:11.51\00:14:14.62 So it's pretty good, 00:14:14.65\00:14:15.98 but here is the one thing 00:14:16.02\00:14:17.35 that I can agree with other individuals on, 00:14:17.39\00:14:19.72 two much of anything is gonna cause the problem. 00:14:19.75\00:14:21.96 Sometimes we wake up in the morning 00:14:21.99\00:14:23.83 and we drink soy milk, 00:14:23.86\00:14:25.39 and then we have soy milk, and then we have soy cereal, 00:14:25.43\00:14:29.36 then we have scrambled tofu, which is made from soy. 00:14:29.40\00:14:31.77 Okay, so that's just too much, then we go to work 00:14:31.80\00:14:34.00 and we're snacking on some roasted soy nuts, 00:14:34.04\00:14:36.04 then when we get to work at lunch time 00:14:36.07\00:14:37.57 we have a soy smoothie. 00:14:37.61\00:14:39.34 Then we have what kind of veggie burger? 00:14:39.37\00:14:40.94 A veggie burger made from soy. 00:14:40.98\00:14:42.31 But what kind of cheese? Soy cheese. 00:14:42.34\00:14:43.91 What kind of mayonnaise? Soy mayonnaise. 00:14:43.95\00:14:45.45 Then you get home you eat rice 00:14:45.48\00:14:46.82 with some tofu t'ickin' or tasty t'ickin' 00:14:46.85\00:14:49.62 and the body is like too much of tofu. 00:14:49.65\00:14:51.82 So the only thing we want to keep eye on 00:14:51.85\00:14:53.99 is not to overdo it, is that fair reasonable? 00:14:54.02\00:14:56.83 Can we all agree on something here today? 00:14:56.86\00:14:59.53 Oops, and there you go, 00:14:59.56\00:15:00.90 then you see me here making a mess 00:15:00.93\00:15:02.26 but no problem 00:15:02.30\00:15:04.13 I have some oil here to just back it up. 00:15:04.17\00:15:07.00 All right. 00:15:07.04\00:15:08.37 So you get that oil going, 00:15:08.40\00:15:10.07 then let me just go ahead and clean up, 00:15:10.11\00:15:12.11 we're in a kitchen today. 00:15:12.14\00:15:13.48 All right. 00:15:13.51\00:15:14.84 Not too much, we don't wanna end up frying the stuff, 00:15:14.88\00:15:17.15 but you just wanna get it nice and kind of thick little, 00:15:17.18\00:15:21.82 you know, crust around the end and stuff, 00:15:21.85\00:15:23.69 so that will get going. 00:15:23.72\00:15:25.85 Then we're gonna go ahead shortly 00:15:25.89\00:15:27.96 and once this is ready, 00:15:27.99\00:15:30.16 we're gonna mix this thing with the other ingredients. 00:15:30.19\00:15:32.09 But I'm gonna talk about brown rice right now. 00:15:32.13\00:15:34.73 Brown rice is crucial. 00:15:34.76\00:15:36.10 We have our two cups of brown rice right here. 00:15:36.13\00:15:38.07 This thing is phenomenal for you. 00:15:38.10\00:15:39.47 I encourage everybody, make sure you use brown rice. 00:15:39.50\00:15:41.94 And, of course, the big difference of brown rice 00:15:41.97\00:15:43.84 and white rice is that, 00:15:43.87\00:15:45.21 the white rice has been degermed 00:15:45.24\00:15:47.18 and the fiber has been taken off of it. 00:15:47.21\00:15:49.44 And if you take a quick look or just view with me here, 00:15:49.48\00:15:53.85 there are three parts to every whole grain. 00:15:53.88\00:15:56.18 One part is the bran or the fiber 00:15:56.22\00:15:58.62 that's on the outside as you can, 00:15:58.65\00:16:00.39 you know, imagine what you can see there. 00:16:00.42\00:16:02.49 And then there is another part which is called the endosperm 00:16:02.52\00:16:05.99 that's your white rice 00:16:06.03\00:16:07.40 and then there is one more part 00:16:07.43\00:16:08.86 at the bottom of it which is the germ. 00:16:08.90\00:16:10.97 I'll show you how to make three sources of income 00:16:11.00\00:16:12.80 of a one whole grain of rice or wheat. 00:16:12.83\00:16:15.64 You take off the germ 00:16:15.67\00:16:17.41 and you put that in a bottle and they call it what? 00:16:17.44\00:16:20.18 Wheat germ, high in vitamin A, high in E, 00:16:20.21\00:16:23.91 add that back to your healthy high fiber cereal, 00:16:23.95\00:16:27.25 which is bran flakes. 00:16:27.28\00:16:28.65 Oh, God, you just pulled off the bran 00:16:28.68\00:16:30.99 and now you put it in cereal and you say, 00:16:31.02\00:16:32.59 "Hey, eat your high fiber cereal." 00:16:32.62\00:16:34.06 Then you say, fortify your cereal 00:16:34.09\00:16:35.66 with a bottle of wheat germ or add wheat germ to it. 00:16:35.69\00:16:38.46 So that's already two sources of income, 00:16:38.49\00:16:40.56 and then the last part is what? 00:16:40.60\00:16:43.16 The white rice. 00:16:43.20\00:16:44.53 So if you take a quick look at me, 00:16:44.57\00:16:45.90 I'll show you three types of rice that is, 00:16:45.93\00:16:48.17 that is out there in general. 00:16:48.20\00:16:50.14 You have the brown rice right here. 00:16:50.17\00:16:52.74 This is a whole grain rice, you see it. 00:16:52.77\00:16:54.81 It's really nice and thick there, 00:16:54.84\00:16:56.91 it has the three parts. 00:16:56.95\00:16:58.28 If you look at it really close, you see the three parts to it. 00:16:58.31\00:17:01.18 And then at the end of it, 00:17:01.22\00:17:02.55 you see a little white part which is the germ. Okay. 00:17:02.58\00:17:06.12 Then what they do is, they rip off the fiber, 00:17:06.15\00:17:08.69 they rip off the germ and then you end up with what? 00:17:08.72\00:17:12.36 This right here, take a look, this is white rice. 00:17:12.39\00:17:14.86 Okay, so this doesn't have the fiber, 00:17:14.90\00:17:17.73 this doesn't have the germ, that's white rice. 00:17:17.77\00:17:19.47 Okay. 00:17:19.50\00:17:20.84 Then what they do is they make another rice for you 00:17:20.87\00:17:23.97 what they treated a little bit, this is called, it looks brown, 00:17:24.01\00:17:28.68 but it ain't brown rice 00:17:28.71\00:17:30.18 and this is right here carbo rice, did you see that? 00:17:30.21\00:17:33.21 That's been treated for you. 00:17:33.25\00:17:35.05 I mean, people say, "Hey, I've been eating this rice, 00:17:35.08\00:17:36.85 I thought it was brown rice." 00:17:36.89\00:17:38.22 It look brown, but it's not as you see here, 00:17:38.25\00:17:42.52 the actual whole grain brown rice. 00:17:42.56\00:17:45.46 Y'all following with me here. And now... 00:21:19.24\00:21:21.24 So you're gonna go ahead, 00:21:21.28\00:21:22.61 you gonna do that till it's nice and... 00:21:22.64\00:21:25.01 The broccoli, the broccoli is there. 00:21:25.05\00:21:26.51 Let me tell you something about that broccoli. 00:21:26.55\00:21:27.88 That broccoli is amazing for you or emazing 00:21:27.92\00:21:31.15 because they say it's excellent, 00:21:31.19\00:21:32.52 so they spell it with a E. 00:21:32.55\00:21:33.89 Why is it amazing, because it's one of the best 00:21:33.92\00:21:36.83 anticarcinogenic fighters out there. 00:21:36.86\00:21:39.36 It's in the same family, of course, 00:21:39.39\00:21:40.73 as you know as the cauliflower, also like, you know, 00:21:40.76\00:21:44.73 related over there to the cabbage as we see here. 00:21:44.77\00:21:47.40 These items are very good. 00:21:47.44\00:21:49.17 Only thing is some people eat it raw, most times they say, 00:21:49.20\00:21:51.91 "Hey, just go ahead and steam it a little bit." 00:21:51.94\00:21:53.81 Because like let's say with cabbage, okay. 00:21:53.84\00:21:55.81 Cabbage has a item in it, it's called goitrin, all right. 00:21:55.84\00:21:58.98 So when you eat it raw, it has a antithyroidal affect, 00:21:59.01\00:22:02.62 meaning that it doesn't allow the thyroid to function 00:22:02.65\00:22:06.22 at its optimal capability. 00:22:06.25\00:22:08.46 Now many people say, "Oh, is that bad or good?" 00:22:08.49\00:22:10.13 Well, if a person has hyperthyroid, 00:22:10.16\00:22:12.49 which means what? 00:22:12.53\00:22:13.86 The thyroid is overacting, you know, they're sweating, 00:22:13.90\00:22:16.03 their heart is raising all the time, 00:22:16.06\00:22:17.57 then they'll use some what? 00:22:17.60\00:22:18.93 Raw cabbage. 00:22:18.97\00:22:20.30 It's a nice little natural remedy 00:22:20.34\00:22:21.67 but please, before you do anything, 00:22:21.70\00:22:23.04 don't run home and tell everybody 00:22:23.07\00:22:24.41 who was hyperthyroid eat raw cabbages, 00:22:24.44\00:22:25.81 it's good for you. 00:22:25.84\00:22:27.18 And the doctor already has them on a plan. 00:22:27.21\00:22:28.61 Let your doctor know everything that you're doing. 00:22:28.64\00:22:30.15 But watch this, if a person has hypothyroid 00:22:30.18\00:22:33.05 that means underacting, there you find out 00:22:33.08\00:22:35.15 that they're adding on more blessings, 00:22:35.18\00:22:37.19 they feel, "I'm really sluggish all the time." 00:22:37.22\00:22:39.25 Then I would recommend that they don't hold, 00:22:39.29\00:22:42.69 they don't use as much raw items 00:22:42.72\00:22:45.53 in the form of cabbage 00:22:45.56\00:22:47.43 if they have hypothyroid issues 00:22:47.46\00:22:51.10 because then it will slow that down even more. 00:22:51.13\00:22:53.13 Are we saying it's bad? 00:22:53.17\00:22:54.50 No, it's actually good 00:22:54.54\00:22:55.87 but just in those specific situations, 00:22:55.90\00:22:59.54 we'll find some caution there. 00:22:59.57\00:23:01.54 Okay. 00:23:01.58\00:23:02.91 So here we go, that's rolling, 00:23:02.94\00:23:04.65 it's looking good, looking excellent. 00:23:04.68\00:23:07.22 So we have that broccoli... 00:23:07.25\00:23:08.58 Let's say you don't have broccoli in your house, 00:23:08.62\00:23:10.22 you only have cauliflower or something. 00:23:10.25\00:23:12.15 That's what you're gonna use, just use cauliflower, 00:23:12.19\00:23:14.19 use whatever veggie you have. 00:23:14.22\00:23:15.69 If you wanna put bean shoots or... 00:23:15.72\00:23:18.79 You know, how we do it and, you know, the Chinese, 00:23:18.83\00:23:20.83 I remember, man, back in the days, man. 00:23:20.86\00:23:22.76 We used to order some of that fried rice 00:23:22.80\00:23:24.63 and it wasn't t'ickin' fried rice, 00:23:24.67\00:23:26.00 you know, what I'm talking about, 00:23:26.03\00:23:27.37 it's straight out chicken fried rice. 00:23:27.40\00:23:28.74 But now we're learning to do better, of course, 00:23:28.77\00:23:31.77 and choose better options as you see here. 00:23:31.81\00:23:35.11 And so it doesn't mean 00:23:35.14\00:23:36.85 that we have to avoid these foods anymore. 00:23:36.88\00:23:40.52 What it means is let's go ahead 00:23:40.55\00:23:41.98 and give people something better. 00:23:42.02\00:23:43.65 Won't you choose a better option? 00:23:43.69\00:23:45.35 And you can do it yourself at home, 00:23:45.39\00:23:47.26 everybody would truly enjoy it, 00:23:47.29\00:23:49.09 and it's actually helpful for you. 00:23:49.12\00:23:50.93 So now, our fried rice is coming along nicely. 00:23:50.96\00:23:54.70 I'm gonna go ahead 00:23:54.73\00:23:56.06 and I'm gonna take that t'ickin', 00:23:56.10\00:23:57.73 and I'm just gonna go ahead and pour that in there. 00:23:57.77\00:24:00.84 All right. 00:24:03.30\00:24:04.77 Oh, man, it looks like 00:24:04.81\00:24:06.14 I got more t'ickin' in here than rice. 00:24:06.17\00:24:08.38 But, hey, no worries, this is actually good for you. 00:24:08.41\00:24:12.15 So that right there it's just gonna go ahead 00:24:12.18\00:24:15.35 and cook together nicely. 00:24:15.38\00:24:16.72 We're gonna get that the flavors rolling 00:24:16.75\00:24:18.69 and because now 00:24:18.72\00:24:20.06 that the t'ickin' has been cooked well. 00:24:20.09\00:24:22.59 It's not gonna break up or mash up 00:24:22.62\00:24:26.23 like it would normally, 00:24:26.26\00:24:27.60 if you just put in there and it's like fresh steak 00:24:27.63\00:24:30.37 or like whole steak there. 00:24:30.40\00:24:32.17 So here we go. 00:24:32.20\00:24:33.97 Oh, man, this is smelling good. 00:24:34.00\00:24:35.70 Matter of fact, I think, I'm eating too much here. 00:24:35.74\00:24:39.34 While, it's cooking here, 00:24:39.37\00:24:40.71 I'm gonna add on some extra blessings. 00:24:40.74\00:24:42.34 So y'all need to hurry up and make this yourself, 00:24:42.38\00:24:44.38 so I don't get in trouble. 00:24:44.41\00:24:46.15 You get that rolling, 00:24:46.18\00:24:47.52 I'm just gonna clean up here nicely. 00:24:47.55\00:24:50.15 And you're pretty much almost done with it. 00:24:50.19\00:24:54.72 Now, if you need the broccoli to cook a little bit more, 00:24:54.76\00:24:57.09 one thing that you can do before you make this recipe, 00:24:57.13\00:24:59.49 you can steam the broccoli and that may be your option. 00:24:59.53\00:25:04.40 What else could you do? 00:26:04.69\00:26:07.43 Well, tofu doesn't have vitamin B12. 00:26:07.46\00:26:09.76 Well, that's obvious because only in general 00:26:09.80\00:26:12.13 animal products have vitamin B12. 00:26:12.17\00:26:14.60 Some people may develop allergies 00:26:14.64\00:26:16.20 and we talked about that a little bit. 00:26:16.24\00:26:17.74 How do you develop an allergy? 00:26:17.77\00:26:19.11 You just overuse it. 00:26:19.14\00:26:20.48 You use it in the morning, you use it in the afternoon. 00:26:20.51\00:26:22.41 Matter of fact the other day 00:26:22.44\00:26:23.78 I saw a detergent that was based on soy. 00:26:23.81\00:26:28.22 And so this soy thing is like getting out of controls 00:26:28.25\00:26:30.82 because we're using too much of it, 00:26:30.85\00:26:32.95 but soy is actually a good thing. 00:26:32.99\00:26:34.72 And a matter of fact, I wanna tell you something. 00:26:34.76\00:26:36.36 When I hear bad news about God's good products, I smile, 00:26:36.39\00:26:39.96 and I pull out my wallet. 00:26:40.00\00:26:41.76 People say, "What are you talking about?" 00:26:41.80\00:26:43.13 The other day, not too long ago, 00:26:43.16\00:26:44.50 they were saying, "Oh, almonds are no good for you." 00:26:44.53\00:26:46.47 I'm like, "What? Who said almonds are no good?" 00:26:46.50\00:26:48.54 Well, the way they process it, they radiate it, 00:26:48.57\00:26:50.87 and do all kind of stuff. 00:26:50.91\00:26:52.24 I said, "Look, that's fine." 00:26:52.27\00:26:53.61 I called my buddy, I said, 00:26:53.64\00:26:54.98 "You heard the news that's out?" 00:26:55.01\00:26:56.34 And he was like, "What are you talking about?" 00:26:56.38\00:26:57.71 They say, "Almonds are no good for you." 00:26:57.75\00:26:59.08 I said, "Are you ready?" He said, "Yeah." 00:26:59.11\00:27:00.52 I said, "I'm ready, how much you got?" 00:27:00.55\00:27:01.88 You $50, I got $50. 00:27:01.92\00:27:03.42 We bought over a $100 in almonds. 00:27:03.45\00:27:07.02 Now people say, "Wait a second 00:27:07.06\00:27:08.39 but bad news was out on almonds." 00:27:08.42\00:27:09.76 I believe the Lord in his wisdom 00:27:09.79\00:27:12.03 allow bad news to come out on good products. 00:27:12.06\00:27:15.53 Let me explain. 00:27:15.56\00:27:17.17 If they knew how powerful almonds, or soy, 00:27:17.20\00:27:20.80 and all these other beans, and nuts, 00:27:20.84\00:27:22.50 and these natural things. 00:27:22.54\00:27:23.87 If people knew how good it was, the price will be what, 00:27:23.91\00:27:27.34 too high that not even a poor person can afford it. 00:27:27.38\00:27:30.01 So the Lord in His wisdoms, I believe sometimes allows 00:27:30.05\00:27:32.48 bad news to go out on good products 00:27:32.51\00:27:34.42 because what happens to the price? 00:27:34.45\00:27:35.78 The price drops. 00:27:35.82\00:27:37.15 So what happens to the price of almonds? 00:27:37.19\00:27:38.52 It drops. 00:27:38.55\00:27:39.89 So we bought a whole huge amount of almonds there, 00:27:39.92\00:27:42.66 and so I wanna encourage you don't worry 00:27:42.69\00:27:45.06 when you hear this news 00:27:45.09\00:27:46.49 about good products that God has given us. 00:27:46.53\00:27:48.40 And here is the final product in nice, 00:27:48.43\00:27:50.17 little pretty way that you can take a quick look at it there. 00:27:50.20\00:27:53.64 A lot of people truly enjoy this, 00:27:53.67\00:27:55.40 and this is the t'ickin' 00:27:55.44\00:27:57.27 the t'ickin' tasty t'ickin' stir fry. 00:27:57.31\00:27:59.94 Enjoy it. 00:27:59.97\00:28:01.31
