Paradise. 00:00:31.39\00:00:33.50 My name is Evita Tezeno. 00:00:33.56\00:00:36.03 And have you ever wondered... 00:00:36.06\00:00:39.77 What am I going to eat today for desert? 00:00:39.80\00:00:43.97 Ah, carrot cake! 00:00:44.04\00:00:45.94 Yes, carrot cake. 00:00:45.97\00:00:47.34 We are making carrot cake today. 00:00:47.41\00:00:50.41 Raw carrot cake. 00:00:50.48\00:00:54.05 Can that be done? 00:00:54.08\00:00:55.48 Yes. 00:00:55.52\00:00:56.85 And we're gonna show you 00:00:56.92\00:00:58.25 how to make an amazing raw carrot cake 00:00:58.29\00:01:01.86 which is simple, and easy, and delicious. 00:01:01.89\00:01:06.13 And the ingredients are... 00:01:06.16\00:01:07.76 And have you ever juiced a whole bunch of carrots 00:01:34.39\00:01:39.83 and didn't know what to do with them? 00:01:39.86\00:01:43.00 Now here's a recipe that shows you 00:01:43.03\00:01:44.67 what to do with your leftover carrot pulp, 00:01:44.70\00:01:46.90 you can make a carrot cake. 00:01:46.97\00:01:48.97 Today, we're gonna make carrot cupcakes. 00:01:49.00\00:01:52.87 So we start off with the dry ingredients first. 00:01:52.91\00:01:56.31 We have our walnuts, and remember, 00:01:56.34\00:01:58.61 to have a stash of soaked, 00:01:58.65\00:02:02.98 dehydrated walnuts at every time, 00:02:03.02\00:02:04.99 you can keep them in the freezer, 00:02:05.02\00:02:06.52 so you'll have them ready and available at all times. 00:02:06.55\00:02:11.46 We put our salt, 00:02:15.33\00:02:16.67 and salt balances the taste in sweet stuff. 00:02:16.73\00:02:19.50 So we just, just do a pinch, 00:02:19.53\00:02:21.64 a pinch of salt 00:02:21.67\00:02:23.81 and then we're gonna put our coriander, 00:02:23.87\00:02:27.78 and our cardamom. 00:02:27.81\00:02:29.14 I love the smell of cardamom, it's just so wonderful. 00:02:29.18\00:02:34.38 And then we process. 00:02:37.49\00:02:38.82 And you want to process till it looks 00:02:53.07\00:02:54.90 a little bit like sand, 00:02:54.94\00:02:57.84 okay, so now it's ready for its wet ingredients. 00:02:57.87\00:03:03.38 You know, I'm gonna put the, the dates in. 00:03:03.45\00:03:08.12 And then the carrot. 00:03:18.16\00:03:19.83 Next is the ginger. 00:03:31.31\00:03:32.81 And the vanilla. 00:03:37.31\00:03:40.98 And it's gonna make a lot of noise 00:03:41.02\00:03:42.35 because the dates are kind of hardy, 00:03:42.38\00:03:47.42 so that's why you need a very strong food processor. 00:03:47.46\00:03:50.09 We'll work it around. 00:03:58.40\00:03:59.73 And you may have to stop it a couple of times 00:04:12.18\00:04:14.82 and work it around. 00:04:14.85\00:04:17.19 If you don't have a very strong food processor, 00:04:17.22\00:04:21.46 you have to keep working it, 00:04:21.49\00:04:25.46 because it might not blend properly. 00:04:25.49\00:04:29.66 So when this is processed, 00:04:45.21\00:04:48.28 you want to put it in a bowl. 00:04:48.32\00:04:49.98 And to me, it looks like cake dough, 00:04:55.06\00:04:59.56 and the cardamom has a wonderful aroma, 00:04:59.59\00:05:03.67 it's pretty awesome. 00:05:03.70\00:05:05.30 Now what I like to do is, 00:05:11.94\00:05:14.91 I like to just sprinkle my raisins in, 00:05:14.94\00:05:19.15 and work 'em in, not put them in the processor. 00:05:19.18\00:05:24.55 So you want to just quickly 00:05:24.59\00:05:28.16 work your raisins in, 00:05:28.19\00:05:30.36 and if you want to, 00:05:30.43\00:05:31.76 you can also put pecans in there 00:05:31.79\00:05:34.83 or some more walnuts, if you want more nuts in it. 00:05:34.83\00:05:38.47 So after you've done that, 00:05:46.21\00:05:50.41 you want to get... 00:05:50.45\00:05:51.78 A muffin pan 00:05:58.09\00:06:00.29 and take your batter 00:06:00.32\00:06:04.99 and put them in each muffin 00:06:05.03\00:06:11.40 with the cupcake paper inside. 00:06:11.43\00:06:17.91 And then after you've done that, 00:06:17.94\00:06:21.08 we are going to frost them. 00:06:21.11\00:06:24.15 And the frosting recipe is... 00:06:24.18\00:06:28.82 For the cream cheese frosting, you would need... 00:06:28.85\00:06:31.25 So we're going to use the vitamins 00:06:48.90\00:06:52.27 for the frosting. 00:06:52.31\00:06:54.51 And these cashews have been soaked overnight... 00:06:54.54\00:06:58.15 And that makes them much more creamier, 00:07:01.88\00:07:03.92 and also digestible. 00:07:03.95\00:07:06.79 We have our dates, 00:07:06.82\00:07:10.29 and we're gonna process this a little bit first 00:07:10.36\00:07:13.33 with a little water. 00:07:13.36\00:07:16.80 I'm gonna put the lemon juice in, 00:07:16.87\00:07:18.60 and then put just a little bit of water. 00:07:18.63\00:07:20.87 Okay, we're gonna put the remainder of the water, 00:07:55.17\00:07:59.54 oops, 00:07:59.57\00:08:02.54 and then the vanilla extract. 00:08:02.58\00:08:05.98 Look at that, it looks like frosting. 00:08:25.70\00:08:30.04 I'm gonna give it a taste. 00:08:30.11\00:08:31.51 Very good. 00:08:35.54\00:08:36.88 So we'll take some of the frosting 00:08:40.32\00:08:44.22 and we're going to... 00:08:44.29\00:08:45.62 Ice the cupcake. 00:08:50.73\00:08:52.06 This is a great recipe to use at... 00:08:58.37\00:09:04.07 Around the holidays, 00:09:04.14\00:09:06.37 when you have all those rich deserts. 00:09:06.41\00:09:13.15 And you can have a desert and still be healthy. 00:09:13.18\00:09:19.69 So I'm gonna try it. 00:09:19.72\00:09:21.22 Very good. 00:09:27.96\00:09:30.57 The cardamom, gives it a really good taste. 00:09:30.60\00:09:35.24 I just love cardamom. 00:09:35.27\00:09:38.84 And it's so, so pretty too, look at it. 00:09:38.87\00:09:43.78 This has been Evita Tezeno with A Taste of Paradise 00:09:43.85\00:09:47.85 and remember to live life fresh. 00:09:47.88\00:09:50.59 Healing of the nation. 00:09:58.49\00:10:00.23 Herbs and medicinal plants, there are so many things, 00:10:00.30\00:10:03.00 natural things that we can use to help, 00:10:03.03\00:10:05.17 bring on help from recovery that will be beneficial to us. 00:10:05.20\00:10:09.10 The only question is, which ones? 00:10:09.14\00:10:10.77 And how does it work? 00:10:10.81\00:10:12.14 And when is it necessary? 00:10:12.17\00:10:13.54 And there's so many things that we can do. 00:10:13.58\00:10:15.18 I always encourage people, number one, first and foremost, 00:10:15.21\00:10:17.71 if there is a problem or ailment, 00:10:17.75\00:10:19.28 the first thing we should do is 00:10:19.31\00:10:20.68 not per se just look at what we can do 00:10:20.72\00:10:22.12 to help the problem. 00:10:22.15\00:10:23.49 We should look at 00:10:23.55\00:10:24.89 what is the cause of the problem. 00:10:24.92\00:10:26.25 What's causing a situation? 00:10:26.29\00:10:27.66 Why does my stomach hurt? 00:10:27.69\00:10:29.02 Why do I have a headache? 00:10:29.06\00:10:30.43 Not per se, "Hey, what do I need to do?" 00:10:30.49\00:10:32.73 The reason why, 00:10:32.76\00:10:34.10 if you understand what is the cause, 00:10:34.13\00:10:35.46 and I know it's easier said than done, 00:10:35.50\00:10:36.83 'cause when you're dealing with headaches, you're like, 00:10:36.90\00:10:38.23 "Just give me something to get rid of it or whatever." 00:10:38.27\00:10:40.94 But a lot of times when you get rid of it too fast, 00:10:40.97\00:10:42.94 you forget to take the time and try to find out 00:10:42.97\00:10:45.64 what is the cause of these situations. 00:10:45.67\00:10:47.84 And so there's a couple of things 00:10:47.88\00:10:50.18 I want to share. 00:10:50.21\00:10:51.55 If you understand the cause of a problem, 00:10:51.58\00:10:54.38 then what you want to do now is get rid of it, you know, 00:10:54.42\00:10:58.55 if you can intelligently get rid of it. 00:10:58.59\00:11:00.66 This is very helpful and you'll take a little quick, 00:11:00.69\00:11:03.93 a look at some different things, 00:11:03.96\00:11:06.06 different things, there's three little steps 00:11:06.09\00:11:07.60 that I'll share with you that is helpful for, 00:11:07.60\00:11:09.80 when we are sick, what we should do? 00:11:09.83\00:11:11.60 And number one is, 00:11:11.63\00:11:13.34 the first step is identify the true cause? 00:11:13.40\00:11:16.40 What is the true cause of a ailment or a problem 00:11:16.44\00:11:19.17 that we're dealing with? 00:11:19.21\00:11:20.54 Number two is, intelligently remove the cause. 00:11:20.58\00:11:24.41 What is number two? 00:11:24.45\00:11:25.78 Intelligently, remove the cause. 00:11:25.81\00:11:27.58 And number three, help the body, 00:11:27.62\00:11:29.78 help the body by not overworking, 00:11:29.82\00:11:32.62 not overeating, or causing any other imbalance, 00:11:32.65\00:11:35.26 but help the body by following 00:11:35.29\00:11:36.62 the simple principles of health, nutrition, 00:11:36.69\00:11:38.69 and exercises, sunlight, and water, and trust, 00:11:38.73\00:11:43.60 and air, and rest, 00:11:43.63\00:11:45.10 and all of these intemperance, of course, 00:11:45.13\00:11:47.07 all of these things which is good for us. 00:11:47.10\00:11:49.34 This is very, very important 00:11:49.37\00:11:51.17 because if we continue to have this headache 00:11:51.21\00:11:53.64 over and over and over again, 00:11:53.71\00:11:55.31 it's not gonna help us. 00:11:55.34\00:11:56.68 If we just find a quick fix, but what is causing a headache? 00:11:56.71\00:11:59.28 Is it maybe even cheese, 00:11:59.31\00:12:01.22 cheese has certain items and it got tyramine 00:12:01.25\00:12:03.79 and that will cause the headaches that come once, 00:12:03.82\00:12:06.86 some people are allergic to it as well. 00:12:06.89\00:12:09.79 Why do we get that cold and flu? 00:12:09.82\00:12:11.19 Sometimes we may be overworking, 00:12:11.23\00:12:12.96 you know what I mean? 00:12:12.99\00:12:14.30 Sometimes when you overwork and it's really, it's not funny 00:12:14.36\00:12:17.03 but it's interesting when you overwork, 00:12:17.07\00:12:19.00 unfortunately, you get sick, right? 00:12:19.03\00:12:20.70 Then you go to the doc and say, "Doc, 00:12:20.74\00:12:22.27 what can I do to get rid of this cold and flu?" 00:12:22.30\00:12:24.17 Can the doctor give you medication to get rid of it? 00:12:24.21\00:12:26.17 No, not quite. What does doctor do? 00:12:26.21\00:12:27.84 Doctor says, "Look here, 00:12:27.88\00:12:29.21 what I need you to do, number one, 00:12:29.24\00:12:30.61 I can give you some stuff 00:12:30.65\00:12:32.01 to get rid of the signs and the symptoms 00:12:32.05\00:12:34.35 or the symptoms of this situation. 00:12:34.38\00:12:36.55 But what you have to do, you have to go home, 00:12:36.58\00:12:38.72 stop working so much. 00:12:38.75\00:12:40.12 Here's a note to give to your job or to your school 00:12:40.16\00:12:42.46 that you don't have to go to work, 00:12:42.49\00:12:43.83 because you need what? 00:12:43.89\00:12:45.23 Rest. All right. 00:13:27.10\00:13:28.87 I guess, they can call Jessica or something like that. 00:13:28.90\00:13:31.31 Oh, no, just no way. 00:13:31.34\00:13:33.11 Just go ahead, follow the instructions 00:13:33.14\00:13:34.81 but do what you can. 00:13:34.84\00:13:36.28 And if you start using some medicinal plants, 00:13:36.31\00:13:38.55 make sure you let your doctor know. 00:13:38.58\00:13:41.05 A lot of people are lying to their physician. 00:13:41.08\00:13:43.02 The doctor ask them, 00:13:43.05\00:13:44.39 "Are you taking your medication?" 00:13:44.42\00:13:46.19 And they, no, they're not taking, 00:13:46.22\00:13:47.82 they got a three or four bottles full at home 00:13:47.86\00:13:50.49 and they're taking other things. 00:13:50.53\00:13:52.06 One day she says, 00:13:52.09\00:13:53.46 "I have my blood pressure under control." 00:13:53.50\00:13:55.33 I said, "Really, do you want it under control? 00:13:55.36\00:13:57.53 Or you want to get rid of high blood pressure?" 00:13:57.57\00:13:59.13 So she says, "Well, you know, 00:13:59.17\00:14:00.57 I can only keep it under control." 00:14:00.64\00:14:01.97 So I ask this simple question, 00:14:02.00\00:14:03.34 "How do you have it under control? 00:14:03.37\00:14:04.71 What are you doing?" 00:14:04.74\00:14:06.07 She said, "I'll do it all naturally." 00:14:06.11\00:14:07.44 All natural, I said, "What do you mean?" 00:14:07.48\00:14:08.81 She's taken 5,000 milligrams of garlic. 00:14:08.84\00:14:12.88 Like, hello, anybody that takes that much garlic, 00:14:12.91\00:14:15.88 your blood pressure is gonna be like at attention, yes, sir. 00:14:15.92\00:14:18.59 You know, it's not gonna act up 'cause it's under, all of this, 00:14:18.62\00:14:21.36 and garlic is good for our blood pressure. 00:14:21.39\00:14:22.92 But what happens? 00:14:22.96\00:14:24.33 I have a quick question for everybody, are you ready? 00:14:24.36\00:14:26.13 What happens now 00:14:26.16\00:14:28.36 if you come off of that 5,000 milligrams of garlic? 00:14:28.40\00:14:31.90 The blood pressure will go what? 00:14:31.93\00:14:33.34 Right back up. 00:14:33.40\00:14:34.74 So that lets us know we haven't solved the problem, 00:14:34.77\00:14:37.01 we have to get to the source of the problem. 00:14:37.07\00:14:38.81 It's like a faucet, if the faucet is on 00:14:38.84\00:14:40.78 and the sink is clogged up, the water is overflowing. 00:14:40.84\00:14:42.84 What is the first thing you're gonna do? 00:14:42.88\00:14:44.21 Are you gonna unclog it? Are you gonna mop up the floor? 00:14:44.25\00:14:46.25 No, you're gonna turn off the source of the water, 00:14:46.28\00:14:49.28 then you're gonna try to solve the problem, 00:14:49.32\00:14:51.39 intelligently removing the cause, 00:14:51.42\00:14:53.12 what has clogged up the sink 00:14:53.15\00:14:54.52 and then you're gonna start to cleanup. 00:14:54.56\00:14:56.06 So let's do that today 00:14:56.09\00:14:57.93 and we're gonna look at a couple of herbs, 00:14:57.96\00:14:59.29 some simple ones. 00:14:59.33\00:15:01.16 One in particular is peppermint, 00:15:01.20\00:15:02.63 I found some old peppermint leaves 00:15:02.66\00:15:04.17 or something like that. 00:15:04.20\00:15:05.53 You know how they look or whatever. 00:15:05.57\00:15:07.04 So there are some old peppermint leaves 00:15:07.07\00:15:09.20 that you can use. 00:15:09.24\00:15:10.61 Peppermint is very good. 00:15:10.64\00:15:12.14 However, these are medicinal plants. 00:15:12.17\00:15:14.34 So follow with me closely. 00:15:14.38\00:15:15.71 If they are plant and they work like medicine, 00:15:15.74\00:15:18.28 that means we should only use them 00:15:18.31\00:15:20.22 for their medicinal purpose. 00:15:20.25\00:15:22.42 Does that make sense? You get that? 00:15:22.45\00:15:24.19 So if it's a plant and it works medicinally, 00:15:24.22\00:15:26.86 like medicine, 00:15:26.89\00:15:28.22 then you should only use it for its purpose. 00:15:28.26\00:15:29.59 I have a question for you. 00:15:29.62\00:15:30.96 If you do not have diabetes 00:15:30.99\00:15:32.33 and I give you diabetic medication 00:15:32.36\00:15:34.00 and say, "Hey, please take this." 00:15:34.00\00:15:35.33 Will you take it? 00:15:35.36\00:15:36.70 Mostly you're like, obviously not, 00:15:36.73\00:15:38.07 'cause I don't have diabetes. 00:15:38.10\00:15:39.67 So why are we taking 00:15:39.70\00:15:41.04 all of these excess medicinal plants 00:15:41.07\00:15:43.57 and we are not sick? 00:15:43.61\00:15:45.24 This is the question that we have. 00:15:45.27\00:15:46.94 So let us not use things unnecessarily, 00:15:46.98\00:15:49.68 well, 'cause let's say, I am using it unnecessarily 00:15:49.71\00:15:52.25 and I do get sick, then the body develops a what? 00:15:52.28\00:15:55.18 The resistance or immunity to it. 00:15:55.22\00:15:57.35 So what we want to do is, learn about these plants 00:15:57.39\00:15:59.92 that work like medicine and use it for their purpose. 00:15:59.95\00:16:02.62 I'll tell you in one case real quick. 00:16:02.66\00:16:05.59 I was in one little island, okay? 00:16:05.63\00:16:07.76 And I won't tell you which island, 00:16:07.76\00:16:09.10 and everybody in this island was drinking this, 00:16:09.13\00:16:10.87 these herbs and one was called, fever grass, 00:16:10.90\00:16:14.07 and another one is lemon grass, and bush tea, 00:16:14.14\00:16:17.21 and all of these things. 00:16:17.24\00:16:18.57 And we were asking, "What are you using this for?" 00:16:18.61\00:16:21.31 They say, "Oh, we heard it's good for diabetes." 00:16:21.34\00:16:23.18 So we asked them a simple question, 00:16:23.21\00:16:24.55 "Do you have diabetes?" 00:16:24.58\00:16:26.11 They said, "No. 00:16:26.15\00:16:27.52 That's why we're taking it 'cause we don't want diabetes." 00:16:27.55\00:16:29.42 So I said, "If you don't have diabetes, 00:16:29.45\00:16:30.79 why are you using medicine for it?" 00:16:30.82\00:16:32.15 They said, "'Cause we don't want the problem." 00:16:32.19\00:16:33.56 But you know what? 00:16:33.59\00:16:34.92 So nobody in that area in general had diabetes 00:16:34.96\00:16:36.83 but everybody had high blood pressure, why? 00:16:36.86\00:16:39.03 Because certain plants work like medicine. 00:16:39.06\00:16:40.90 Did you know even plants have side effects? 00:16:40.93\00:16:43.16 And I'll explain that shortly here to you. 00:16:43.20\00:16:44.87 So as a result, certain plants have 00:16:44.90\00:16:46.80 what is known as vasoconstrictive properties. 00:16:46.84\00:16:49.30 All right? 00:16:49.34\00:16:50.67 So what are vasoconstrictive properties? 00:16:50.71\00:16:52.24 These properties are things that cause the arteries 00:16:52.27\00:16:54.48 and the blood vessels to constrict a little bit. 00:16:54.51\00:16:56.48 So if you cause that constriction to take place, 00:16:56.51\00:16:58.78 the blood has to still go through, 00:16:58.81\00:17:00.48 so then what happens to your blood pressure? 00:17:00.55\00:17:01.88 It goes high. 00:17:01.92\00:17:03.62 So a lot of times, 00:17:03.65\00:17:04.99 it's not what we can take for the problem, 00:17:05.02\00:17:06.52 it's ascertaining, number one, 00:17:06.55\00:17:08.22 the true cause of the problem 00:17:08.26\00:17:10.06 and then working intelligently to remove that. 00:17:10.09\00:17:11.99 So I'm gonna take one medicinal plant, 00:17:12.03\00:17:13.46 when you think of herbs and drinking teas and stuff, 00:17:13.53\00:17:15.73 and that's what I'm talking about, 00:17:15.76\00:17:17.10 using medicine unnecessarily like in a form of tea, 00:17:17.17\00:17:20.14 which one do you think are most importantly? 00:17:20.17\00:17:22.10 A lot of people think of peppermint. 00:17:22.14\00:17:24.61 Peppermint tea, or mint tea. 00:17:24.64\00:17:26.88 Now this thing tastes good. 00:17:26.91\00:17:28.24 Actually I grew up on this stuff. 00:17:28.28\00:17:30.25 We used to take peppermint and just, 00:17:30.28\00:17:32.28 with that powder or soy milk, I used to love it. 00:17:32.31\00:17:35.75 But we realized after sometime that it tastes good 00:17:35.78\00:17:38.75 but at the same time, 00:17:38.79\00:17:40.16 it's probably not the best thing. 00:17:40.19\00:17:41.52 Why? 00:17:41.56\00:17:42.89 Let's look at what peppermint is actually good for. 00:17:42.92\00:17:44.33 Peppermint is good, it's an invigorator, okay? 00:17:44.36\00:17:47.76 Peppermint helps with muscle aches 00:17:47.83\00:17:49.73 and different items of that nature, 00:17:49.76\00:17:51.53 so peppermint is fantastic, 00:17:51.57\00:17:53.60 it also works to fight against viruses. 00:17:53.64\00:17:57.91 But if I'm drinking peppermint tea everyday, 00:17:57.94\00:18:00.54 let's say I get a cold or flu, 00:18:00.61\00:18:01.94 and then I try to use peppermint tea again for it, 00:18:01.98\00:18:04.18 will it work? 00:18:04.21\00:18:05.55 Not quite. 00:18:05.58\00:18:06.92 It won't have the same efficacy, 00:18:06.95\00:18:08.28 that means its power, its punch. 00:18:08.32\00:18:10.42 And so that's why I keep the peppermint tea aside 00:18:10.45\00:18:13.79 and I only use it when I feel a little itch in the throat 00:18:13.82\00:18:16.22 because it has antiviral properties, 00:18:16.26\00:18:18.59 that means, you know, drink it, 00:18:18.63\00:18:20.43 you make a tea out of it and drink it inside. 00:18:20.46\00:18:22.50 How was it also good? 00:18:22.53\00:18:23.87 It helps to fight against hepatitis as well, 00:18:23.90\00:18:26.33 because it's a anti what? 00:18:26.37\00:18:28.14 Viral. 00:18:28.17\00:18:29.50 Many people say, "Olive oil is good for muscle aches 00:18:29.54\00:18:31.27 and bone aches." 00:18:31.31\00:18:32.64 Yes, but not internally, 00:18:32.67\00:18:34.51 you have to use what is known as peppermint oil essence, 00:18:34.54\00:18:37.55 and you take that essence 00:18:37.58\00:18:38.91 and you rub it on the affected areas, 00:18:38.95\00:18:40.98 the areas where it hurts and it works very good. 00:18:41.02\00:18:43.89 However, when you look at that peppermint essence 00:18:43.92\00:18:45.92 or that oil, how much is it? 00:18:45.95\00:18:48.09 That stuff is not cheap at all. 00:18:48.12\00:18:50.33 So today, I want to share with you a little recipe. 00:18:50.36\00:18:53.40 This one, you, however, you won't drink, 00:18:53.43\00:18:54.93 you just apply it on the outside. 00:18:54.96\00:18:56.63 A little quick recipe 00:18:56.67\00:18:58.00 on how we can make our own peppermint oil essence. 00:18:58.03\00:19:00.77 When you look at the price sometimes, 00:19:00.80\00:19:02.14 it is $30, $40 for a little bottle like this. 00:19:02.17\00:19:05.14 So if you have a garden, dig a hole, throw some... 00:19:05.17\00:19:08.98 Plant, some peppermint in there, 00:19:09.01\00:19:10.58 and now you can have your own healing bond. 00:19:10.61\00:19:13.31 And here is the simple recipe for a peppermint oil essence 00:19:13.35\00:19:16.72 for the healing of the nation. 00:19:16.75\00:19:18.09 And all you need here today is... 00:19:18.12\00:19:20.49 Like literally, it's that simple, that easy, 00:19:30.47\00:19:33.44 you can make your own peppermint oil essence. 00:19:33.47\00:19:35.57 However, it doesn't happen overnight, 00:19:35.60\00:19:36.94 it's gonna take a little time and effort 00:19:37.01\00:19:38.91 and this is something that we should all implement. 00:19:38.94\00:19:41.24 Now today, I didn't even have another glass jar, 00:19:41.28\00:19:43.28 so I use two clear ones 00:19:43.35\00:19:44.98 but you can put it in a dark room 00:19:45.01\00:19:47.02 or something of that nature to help it to go ahead 00:19:47.05\00:19:50.29 and develop its concentration. 00:19:50.32\00:19:52.02 So what I have here is a bunch of leaves 00:19:52.05\00:19:54.82 and let me just pull that over here to show you. 00:19:54.86\00:19:57.16 These are just the peppermint leaves, 00:19:57.23\00:19:58.76 you can put as many as you want, 00:19:58.79\00:20:00.13 it doesn't have to be one or two, 00:20:00.20\00:20:01.50 some even dried out on me. 00:20:01.53\00:20:02.86 But, hey, work with what you have, 00:20:02.90\00:20:04.23 all right? Now let me just make a note of that actually. 00:24:55.96\00:24:58.16 There's a difference between spices and herbs. 00:24:58.19\00:25:00.43 Your spices are your more hot items 00:25:00.46\00:25:02.53 such as, your peppers, and your cinnamon, 00:25:02.56\00:25:04.60 and the clove, and the nutmeg, 00:25:04.63\00:25:06.84 and all of these things. 00:25:06.87\00:25:08.20 Now those are spices. 00:25:08.24\00:25:09.57 Your herbs are more green items. 00:25:09.60\00:25:11.41 They're delicate and medicinal. 00:25:11.44\00:25:13.17 So as many people know that even nutmeg can be poisonous. 00:25:13.21\00:25:15.71 How is that? 00:25:15.74\00:25:17.08 Because nutmeg has a item, a alkali called myristicin, 00:25:17.15\00:25:21.58 which depresses the central nervous system. 00:25:21.62\00:25:24.35 Do you know kids, way back in like the '60s, 00:25:24.39\00:25:26.96 they used to take nutmeg and, you know, they grind it down 00:25:26.99\00:25:30.63 and they take a little sniff of it? 00:25:30.66\00:25:32.56 And what it would do, 00:25:32.59\00:25:33.93 it will produce a feeling of just like, 00:25:34.00\00:25:35.73 "Hey, everything is cool, and how are you?" 00:25:35.76\00:25:38.20 You know what I mean? 00:25:38.23\00:25:39.57 Because it starts to depress the nervous system, 00:25:39.60\00:25:41.44 so we encourage you to hold off, 00:25:41.47\00:25:42.80 instead of using nutmeg in your meals, 00:25:42.84\00:25:45.84 you can use what is known as cardamom. 00:25:45.87\00:25:47.91 Instead of cinnamon, 00:25:47.94\00:25:49.28 you can use what is known as coriander. 00:25:49.31\00:25:51.78 These are just some simple substitutes, 00:25:51.81\00:25:53.31 because those spices, 00:25:53.38\00:25:54.72 what they do is they irritate the digestive track. 00:25:54.75\00:25:56.89 You have your black and white peppers, 00:25:56.95\00:25:58.32 even cloves. 00:25:58.35\00:25:59.79 Cloves, I'll talk about some of my family, 00:25:59.82\00:26:03.19 some of my family is from a certain island 00:26:03.22\00:26:04.96 and they love using cloves. 00:26:04.99\00:26:06.56 It's like they go into kitchen, 00:26:06.59\00:26:07.93 they take cloves and they throw it into air. 00:26:07.96\00:26:09.26 It's in everything, 00:26:09.30\00:26:10.67 sometimes it ends up in a juice or a drink 00:26:10.70\00:26:12.37 and I'm like, "Why are we using so much cloves?" 00:26:12.40\00:26:14.40 But they're always calling, 00:26:14.44\00:26:15.77 they're complaining about digestive problem, 00:26:15.80\00:26:17.61 not digestive problem, but like gas. 00:26:17.64\00:26:18.97 You know what I mean? 00:26:19.01\00:26:20.34 Or extra wind, is what they say. 00:26:20.38\00:26:21.71 And I say, "Well, 00:26:21.74\00:26:23.08 it's not that you can take another tea for it. 00:26:23.11\00:26:24.78 We need to stop using these spices." 00:26:24.81\00:26:27.42 'Cause spices do what? 00:26:27.45\00:26:28.78 They irritate, they irritate, they irritate, 00:26:28.82\00:26:30.19 so the body tries to protect itself 00:26:30.22\00:26:31.85 by producing more mucous, and then do you have what? 00:26:31.89\00:26:34.42 A whole gassy situation and gas is all over the place. 00:26:34.46\00:26:37.99 Sometimes they say, "Oh, the gas is here, gas is there." 00:26:38.03\00:26:41.03 And I said, "Let's just hold off 00:26:41.06\00:26:42.40 on the excess spices." 00:26:42.43\00:26:43.77 Let's use more of what? 00:26:43.83\00:26:45.17 More herbs. 00:26:45.20\00:26:46.53 And so what are some herbs that we can use? 00:26:46.57\00:26:47.90 We can use basil, we can use thyme, 00:26:47.94\00:26:49.97 we can use sage, and matter of fact, 00:26:50.01\00:26:51.84 basil as well works naturally there, 00:26:51.87\00:26:54.71 it helps with headaches. 00:26:54.74\00:26:56.34 You have sage, people use sage for like menstrual cramps, 00:26:56.38\00:27:00.15 so different items. 00:27:00.18\00:27:01.52 And these are all good 00:27:01.55\00:27:02.88 but these are very delicate and medicinal, 00:27:02.92\00:27:04.69 you can use a turmeric. 00:27:04.72\00:27:06.59 Everybody knows turmeric, yeah, turmeric is really... 00:27:06.62\00:27:09.49 You know, turmeric here, 00:27:09.52\00:27:10.86 it has what is known as a COX-2 inhibitor, 00:27:10.89\00:27:12.99 a COX what? 00:27:13.03\00:27:14.36 COX-2 inhibitor, this prevents these growths of like tumors, 00:27:14.36\00:27:19.10 and cysts, and fibroids, and stuff. 00:27:19.13\00:27:21.94 However, let me ask a quick question. 00:27:21.97\00:27:23.41 Is this gonna solve the problem? 00:27:23.44\00:27:25.04 Not quite, it's not gonna solve. 00:27:25.07\00:27:26.54 We have to get to the source of the problem. 00:27:26.57\00:27:28.01 What's causing these things to grow in our body? 00:27:28.04\00:27:30.25 What's causing these lumps in the breasts? 00:27:30.28\00:27:32.71 Even now, did you know? 00:27:32.75\00:27:34.12 Men are developing breast cancer. 00:27:34.15\00:27:36.15 You don't hear about it much. 00:27:36.18\00:27:37.52 Can you imagine your dad comes home one day and say, 00:27:37.59\00:27:38.99 "I have breast cancer." 00:27:39.02\00:27:40.36 You're gonna start looking at him funny, 00:27:40.39\00:27:41.72 you're like, "Are you really my dad?" 00:27:41.76\00:27:43.09 You know, and so they don't talk about it 00:27:43.12\00:27:44.46 but these things are happening. 00:27:44.49\00:27:45.83 How? 00:27:45.86\00:27:47.20 By eating certain products that has like, 00:27:47.23\00:27:48.53 high estrogenic stuff, 00:27:48.56\00:27:49.90 that causes other things in our bodies to grow. 00:27:49.93\00:27:51.93 But if we just follow 00:27:51.97\00:27:53.30 some of the simple basic principles 00:27:53.34\00:27:54.67 that God has given us, 00:27:54.70\00:27:56.04 the herbs and the medicinal plants 00:27:56.07\00:27:57.41 that will be for healing of the nation. 00:27:57.47\00:27:59.47 Go ahead and give it a try yourself. 00:27:59.51\00:28:01.51
