Paradise. 00:00:31.46\00:00:33.56 My name is Evita Tezeno. 00:00:33.60\00:00:36.13 And have you ever wondered... 00:00:36.16\00:00:39.87 What am I going to eat today for desert? 00:00:39.90\00:00:44.07 Ah, carrot cake! 00:00:44.11\00:00:46.04 Yes, carrot cake. 00:00:46.07\00:00:47.44 We are making carrot cake today. 00:00:47.48\00:00:50.51 Raw carrot cake. 00:00:50.55\00:00:54.12 Can that be done? 00:00:54.15\00:00:55.58 Yes. 00:00:55.62\00:00:56.95 And we're gonna show you 00:00:56.99\00:00:58.32 how to make an amazing raw carrot cake 00:00:58.35\00:01:01.89 which is simple, and easy, and delicious. 00:01:01.92\00:01:06.16 And the ingredients are... 00:01:06.19\00:01:07.83 And have you ever juiced a whole bunch of carrots 00:01:34.46\00:01:39.89 and didn't know what to do with them? 00:01:39.93\00:01:43.10 Now here's a recipe that shows you 00:01:43.13\00:01:44.77 what to do with your leftover carrot pulp, 00:01:44.80\00:01:47.00 you can make a carrot cake. 00:01:47.04\00:01:49.07 Today, we're gonna make carrot cupcakes. 00:01:49.10\00:01:52.97 So we start off with the dry ingredients first. 00:01:53.01\00:01:56.41 We have our walnuts, and remember, 00:01:56.44\00:01:58.71 to have a stash of soaked, 00:01:58.75\00:02:03.02 dehydrated walnuts at every time, 00:02:03.05\00:02:05.02 you can keep them in the freezer, 00:02:05.05\00:02:06.55 so you'll have them ready and available at all times. 00:02:06.59\00:02:11.49 We put our salt, 00:02:15.40\00:02:16.73 and salt balances the taste in sweet stuff. 00:02:16.77\00:02:19.57 So we just, just do a pinch, 00:02:19.60\00:02:21.70 a pinch of salt 00:02:21.74\00:02:23.87 and then we're gonna put our coriander, 00:02:23.91\00:02:27.84 and our cardamom. 00:02:27.88\00:02:29.21 I love the smell of cardamom, it's just so wonderful. 00:02:29.24\00:02:34.45 And then we process. 00:02:37.55\00:02:38.89 And you want to process till it looks 00:02:53.17\00:02:55.00 a little bit like sand, 00:02:55.04\00:02:57.94 okay, so now it's ready for its wet ingredients. 00:02:57.97\00:03:03.41 You know, I'm gonna put the, the dates in. 00:03:03.45\00:03:08.15 And then the carrot. 00:03:18.19\00:03:19.86 Next is the ginger. 00:03:31.37\00:03:32.87 And the vanilla. 00:03:37.38\00:03:41.05 And it's gonna make a lot of noise 00:03:41.08\00:03:42.42 because the dates are kind of hardy, 00:03:42.45\00:03:47.49 so that's why you need a very strong food processor. 00:03:47.52\00:03:50.13 We'll work it around. 00:03:58.50\00:03:59.83 And you may have to stop it a couple of times 00:04:12.21\00:04:14.85 and work it around. 00:04:14.88\00:04:17.19 If you don't have a very strong food processor, 00:04:17.22\00:04:21.49 you have to keep working it, 00:04:21.52\00:04:25.49 because it might not blend properly. 00:04:25.53\00:04:29.73 So when this is processed, 00:04:45.28\00:04:48.35 you want to put it in a bowl. 00:04:48.38\00:04:50.05 And to me, it looks like cake dough, 00:04:55.12\00:04:59.63 and the cardamom has a wonderful aroma, 00:04:59.66\00:05:03.67 it's pretty awesome. 00:05:03.70\00:05:05.33 Now what I like to do is, 00:05:11.97\00:05:14.94 I like to just sprinkle my raisins in, 00:05:14.98\00:05:19.18 and work 'em in, not put them in the processor. 00:05:19.21\00:05:24.59 So you want to just quickly 00:05:24.62\00:05:28.19 work your raisins in, 00:05:28.22\00:05:30.39 and if you want to, 00:05:30.43\00:05:31.76 you can also put pecans in there 00:05:31.79\00:05:34.86 or some more walnuts, if you want more nuts in it. 00:05:34.90\00:05:38.53 So after you've done that, 00:05:46.27\00:05:50.45 you want to get... 00:05:50.48\00:05:51.81 A muffin pan 00:05:58.15\00:06:00.26 and take your batter 00:06:00.29\00:06:04.99 and put them in each muffin 00:06:05.03\00:06:11.43 with the cupcake paper inside. 00:06:11.47\00:06:17.94 And then after you've done that, 00:06:17.97\00:06:21.11 we are going to frost them. 00:06:21.14\00:06:24.15 And the frosting recipe is... 00:06:24.18\00:06:28.85 For the cream cheese frosting, you would need... 00:06:28.88\00:06:31.29 So we're going to use the vitamins 00:06:48.97\00:06:52.34 for the frosting. 00:06:52.37\00:06:54.58 And these cashews have been soaked overnight... 00:06:54.61\00:06:58.21 And that makes them much more creamier, 00:07:01.88\00:07:03.92 and also digestible. 00:07:03.95\00:07:06.76 We have our dates, 00:07:06.79\00:07:10.29 and we're gonna process this a little bit first 00:07:10.33\00:07:13.33 with a little water. 00:07:13.36\00:07:16.83 I'm gonna put the lemon juice in, 00:07:16.87\00:07:18.63 and then put just a little bit of water. 00:07:18.67\00:07:20.90 Okay, we're gonna put the remainder of the water, 00:07:55.24\00:07:59.61 oops, 00:07:59.64\00:08:02.54 and then the vanilla extract. 00:08:02.58\00:08:05.98 Look at that, it looks like frosting. 00:08:25.73\00:08:30.07 I'm gonna give it a taste. 00:08:30.11\00:08:31.54 Very good. 00:08:35.58\00:08:36.91 So we'll take some of the frosting 00:08:40.32\00:08:44.25 and we're going to... 00:08:44.29\00:08:45.62 Ice the cupcake. 00:08:50.73\00:08:52.06 This is a great recipe to use at... 00:08:58.43\00:09:04.07 Around the holidays, 00:09:04.11\00:09:06.37 when you have all those rich deserts. 00:09:06.41\00:09:13.15 And you can have a desert and still be healthy. 00:09:13.18\00:09:19.69 So I'm gonna try it. 00:09:19.72\00:09:21.22 Very good. 00:09:28.00\00:09:30.57 The cardamom, gives it a really good taste. 00:09:30.60\00:09:35.27 I just love cardamom. 00:09:35.30\00:09:38.87 And it's so, so pretty too, look at it. 00:09:38.91\00:09:43.81 This has been Evita Tezeno with A Taste of Paradise 00:09:43.85\00:09:47.88 and remember to live life fresh. 00:09:47.92\00:09:50.59 Healing of the nation. 00:09:58.53\00:10:00.26 Herbs and medicinal plants, there are so many things, 00:10:00.30\00:10:03.06 natural things that we can use to help, 00:10:03.10\00:10:05.23 bring on help from recovery that will be beneficial to us. 00:10:05.27\00:10:09.17 The only question is, which ones? 00:10:09.20\00:10:10.84 And how does it work? 00:10:10.87\00:10:12.21 And when is it necessary? 00:10:12.24\00:10:13.58 And there's so many things that we can do. 00:10:13.61\00:10:15.24 I always encourage people, number one, first and foremost, 00:10:15.28\00:10:17.78 if there is a problem or ailment, 00:10:17.81\00:10:19.35 the first thing we should do is 00:10:19.38\00:10:20.72 not per se just look at what we can do 00:10:20.75\00:10:22.18 to help the problem. 00:10:22.22\00:10:23.55 We should look at 00:10:23.59\00:10:24.92 what is the cause of the problem. 00:10:24.95\00:10:26.29 What's causing a situation? 00:10:26.32\00:10:27.72 Why does my stomach hurt? 00:10:27.76\00:10:29.09 Why do I have a headache? 00:10:29.12\00:10:30.49 Not per se, "Hey, what do I need to do?" 00:10:30.53\00:10:32.79 The reason why, 00:10:32.83\00:10:34.16 if you understand what is the cause, 00:10:34.20\00:10:35.56 and I know it's easier said than done, 00:10:35.60\00:10:36.93 'cause when you're dealing with headaches, you're like, 00:10:36.97\00:10:38.30 "Just give me something to get rid of it or whatever." 00:10:38.33\00:10:41.04 But a lot of times when you get rid of it too fast, 00:10:41.07\00:10:43.04 you forget to take the time and try to find out 00:10:43.07\00:10:45.74 what is the cause of these situations. 00:10:45.77\00:10:47.94 And so there's a couple of things 00:10:47.98\00:10:50.25 I want to share. 00:10:50.28\00:10:51.61 If you understand the cause of a problem, 00:10:51.65\00:10:54.48 then what you want to do now is get rid of it, you know, 00:10:54.52\00:10:58.65 if you can intelligently get rid of it. 00:10:58.69\00:11:00.69 This is very helpful and you'll take a little quick, 00:11:00.72\00:11:03.93 a look at some different things, 00:11:03.96\00:11:06.09 different things, there's three little steps 00:11:06.13\00:11:07.63 that I'll share with you that is helpful for, 00:11:07.66\00:11:09.86 when we are sick, what we should do? 00:11:09.90\00:11:11.67 And number one is, 00:11:11.70\00:11:13.40 the first step is identify the true cause? 00:11:13.44\00:11:16.47 What is the true cause of a ailment or a problem 00:11:16.50\00:11:19.24 that we're dealing with? 00:11:19.27\00:11:20.61 Number two is, intelligently remove the cause. 00:11:20.64\00:11:24.48 What is number two? 00:11:24.51\00:11:25.85 Intelligently, remove the cause. 00:11:25.88\00:11:27.65 And number three, help the body, 00:11:27.68\00:11:29.85 help the body by not overworking, 00:11:29.88\00:11:32.69 not overeating, or causing any other imbalance, 00:11:32.72\00:11:35.32 but help the body by following 00:11:35.36\00:11:36.69 the simple principles of health, nutrition, 00:11:36.73\00:11:38.76 and exercises, sunlight, and water, and trust, 00:11:38.79\00:11:43.70 and air, and rest, 00:11:43.73\00:11:45.20 and all of these intemperance, of course, 00:11:45.23\00:11:47.14 all of these things which is good for us. 00:11:47.17\00:11:49.44 This is very, very important 00:11:49.47\00:11:51.27 because if we continue to have this headache 00:11:51.31\00:11:53.74 over and over and over again, 00:11:53.78\00:11:55.41 it's not gonna help us. 00:11:55.44\00:11:56.78 If we just find a quick fix, but what is causing a headache? 00:11:56.81\00:11:59.38 Is it maybe even cheese, 00:11:59.41\00:12:01.25 cheese has certain items and it got tyramine 00:12:01.28\00:12:03.79 and that will cause the headaches that come once, 00:12:03.82\00:12:06.86 some people are allergic to it as well. 00:12:06.89\00:12:09.82 Why do we get that cold and flu? 00:12:09.86\00:12:11.23 Sometimes we may be overworking, 00:12:11.26\00:12:12.99 you know what I mean? 00:12:13.03\00:12:14.36 Sometimes when you overwork and it's really, it's not funny 00:12:14.40\00:12:17.07 but it's interesting when you overwork, 00:12:17.10\00:12:19.07 unfortunately, you get sick, right? 00:12:19.10\00:12:20.77 Then you go to the doc and say, "Doc, 00:12:20.80\00:12:22.34 what can I do to get rid of this cold and flu?" 00:12:22.37\00:12:24.24 Can the doctor give you medication to get rid of it? 00:12:24.27\00:12:26.24 No, not quite. What does doctor do? 00:12:26.27\00:12:27.91 Doctor says, "Look here, 00:12:27.94\00:12:29.28 what I need you to do, number one, 00:12:29.31\00:12:30.65 I can give you some stuff 00:12:30.68\00:12:32.08 to get rid of the signs and the symptoms 00:12:32.11\00:12:34.42 or the symptoms of this situation. 00:12:34.45\00:12:36.62 But what you have to do, you have to go home, 00:12:36.65\00:12:38.79 stop working so much. 00:12:38.82\00:12:40.16 Here's a note to give to your job or to your school 00:12:40.19\00:12:42.52 that you don't have to go to work, 00:12:42.56\00:12:43.89 because you need what? 00:12:43.93\00:12:45.26 Rest. All right. 00:13:27.14\00:13:28.94 I guess, they can call Jessica or something like that. 00:13:28.97\00:13:31.37 Oh, no, just no way. 00:13:31.41\00:13:33.17 Just go ahead, follow the instructions 00:13:33.21\00:13:34.88 but do what you can. 00:13:34.91\00:13:36.34 And if you start using some medicinal plants, 00:13:36.38\00:13:38.61 make sure you let your doctor know. 00:13:38.65\00:13:41.12 A lot of people are lying to their physician. 00:13:41.15\00:13:43.08 The doctor ask them, 00:13:43.12\00:13:44.45 "Are you taking your medication?" 00:13:44.49\00:13:46.25 And they, no, they're not taking, 00:13:46.29\00:13:47.89 they got a three or four bottles full at home 00:13:47.92\00:13:50.53 and they're taking other things. 00:13:50.56\00:13:52.13 One day she says, 00:13:52.16\00:13:53.50 "I have my blood pressure under control." 00:13:53.53\00:13:55.43 I said, "Really, do you want it under control? 00:13:55.46\00:13:57.63 Or you want to get rid of high blood pressure?" 00:13:57.67\00:13:59.23 So she says, "Well, you know, 00:13:59.27\00:14:00.60 I can only keep it under control." 00:14:00.64\00:14:01.97 So I ask this simple question, 00:14:02.00\00:14:03.34 "How do you have it under control? 00:14:03.37\00:14:04.71 What are you doing?" 00:14:04.74\00:14:06.07 She said, "I'll do it all naturally." 00:14:06.11\00:14:07.44 All natural, I said, "What do you mean?" 00:14:07.48\00:14:08.81 She's taken 5,000 milligrams of garlic. 00:14:08.84\00:14:12.91 Like, hello, anybody that takes that much garlic, 00:14:12.95\00:14:15.92 your blood pressure is gonna be like at attention, yes, sir. 00:14:15.95\00:14:18.62 You know, it's not gonna act up 'cause it's under, all of this, 00:14:18.65\00:14:21.39 and garlic is good for our blood pressure. 00:14:21.42\00:14:22.96 But what happens? 00:14:22.99\00:14:24.33 I have a quick question for everybody, are you ready? 00:14:24.36\00:14:26.16 What happens now 00:14:26.19\00:14:28.43 if you come off of that 5,000 milligrams of garlic? 00:14:28.46\00:14:31.97 The blood pressure will go what? 00:14:32.00\00:14:33.40 Right back up. 00:14:33.44\00:14:34.77 So that lets us know we haven't solved the problem, 00:14:34.80\00:14:37.07 we have to get to the source of the problem. 00:14:37.11\00:14:38.87 It's like a faucet, if the faucet is on 00:14:38.91\00:14:40.84 and the sink is clogged up, the water is overflowing. 00:14:40.88\00:14:42.91 What is the first thing you're gonna do? 00:14:42.94\00:14:44.28 Are you gonna unclog it? Are you gonna mop up the floor? 00:14:44.31\00:14:46.31 No, you're gonna turn off the source of the water, 00:14:46.35\00:14:49.35 then you're gonna try to solve the problem, 00:14:49.38\00:14:51.45 intelligently removing the cause, 00:14:51.49\00:14:53.19 what has clogged up the sink 00:14:53.22\00:14:54.59 and then you're gonna start to cleanup. 00:14:54.62\00:14:56.12 So let's do that today 00:14:56.16\00:14:57.99 and we're gonna look at a couple of herbs, 00:14:58.03\00:14:59.36 some simple ones. 00:14:59.39\00:15:01.20 One in particular is peppermint, 00:15:01.23\00:15:02.66 I found some old peppermint leaves 00:15:02.70\00:15:04.20 or something like that. 00:15:04.23\00:15:05.57 You know how they look or whatever. 00:15:05.60\00:15:07.07 So there are some old peppermint leaves 00:15:07.10\00:15:09.24 that you can use. 00:15:09.27\00:15:10.61 Peppermint is very good. 00:15:10.64\00:15:12.17 However, these are medicinal plants. 00:15:12.21\00:15:14.38 So follow with me closely. 00:15:14.41\00:15:15.74 If they are plant and they work like medicine, 00:15:15.78\00:15:18.31 that means we should only use them 00:15:18.35\00:15:20.22 for their medicinal purpose. 00:15:20.25\00:15:22.45 Does that make sense? You get that? 00:15:22.48\00:15:24.19 So if it's a plant and it works medicinally, 00:15:24.22\00:15:26.86 like medicine, 00:15:26.89\00:15:28.22 then you should only use it for its purpose. 00:15:28.26\00:15:29.59 I have a question for you. 00:15:29.62\00:15:30.96 If you do not have diabetes 00:15:30.99\00:15:32.36 and I give you diabetic medication 00:15:32.39\00:15:34.00 and say, "Hey, please take this." 00:15:34.03\00:15:35.36 Will you take it? 00:15:35.40\00:15:36.73 Mostly you're like, obviously not, 00:15:36.77\00:15:38.10 'cause I don't have diabetes. 00:15:38.13\00:15:39.73 So why are we taking 00:15:39.77\00:15:41.10 all of these excess medicinal plants 00:15:41.14\00:15:43.61 and we are not sick? 00:15:43.64\00:15:45.31 This is the question that we have. 00:15:45.34\00:15:46.98 So let us not use things unnecessarily, 00:15:47.01\00:15:49.74 well, 'cause let's say, I am using it unnecessarily 00:15:49.78\00:15:52.31 and I do get sick, then the body develops a what? 00:15:52.35\00:15:55.25 The resistance or immunity to it. 00:15:55.28\00:15:57.42 So what we want to do is, learn about these plants 00:15:57.45\00:15:59.99 that work like medicine and use it for their purpose. 00:16:00.02\00:16:02.62 I'll tell you in one case real quick. 00:16:02.66\00:16:05.59 I was in one little island, okay? 00:16:05.63\00:16:07.76 And I won't tell you which island, 00:16:07.80\00:16:09.13 and everybody in this island was drinking this, 00:16:09.16\00:16:10.87 these herbs and one was called, fever grass, 00:16:10.90\00:16:14.10 and another one is lemon grass, and bush tea, 00:16:14.14\00:16:17.21 and all of these things. 00:16:17.24\00:16:18.57 And we were asking, "What are you using this for?" 00:16:18.61\00:16:21.34 They say, "Oh, we heard it's good for diabetes." 00:16:21.38\00:16:23.21 So we asked them a simple question, 00:16:23.24\00:16:24.58 "Do you have diabetes?" 00:16:24.61\00:16:26.15 They said, "No. 00:16:26.18\00:16:27.52 That's why we're taking it 'cause we don't want diabetes." 00:16:27.55\00:16:29.45 So I said, "If you don't have diabetes, 00:16:29.48\00:16:30.82 why are you using medicine for it?" 00:16:30.85\00:16:32.19 They said, "'Cause we don't want the problem." 00:16:32.22\00:16:33.56 But you know what? 00:16:33.59\00:16:34.92 So nobody in that area in general had diabetes 00:16:34.96\00:16:36.83 but everybody had high blood pressure, why? 00:16:36.86\00:16:39.06 Because certain plants work like medicine. 00:16:39.09\00:16:40.90 Did you know even plants have side effects? 00:16:40.93\00:16:43.23 And I'll explain that shortly here to you. 00:16:43.26\00:16:44.93 So as a result, certain plants have 00:16:44.97\00:16:46.84 what is known as vasoconstrictive properties. 00:16:46.87\00:16:49.37 All right? 00:16:49.40\00:16:50.74 So what are vasoconstrictive properties? 00:16:50.77\00:16:52.31 These properties are things that cause the arteries 00:16:52.34\00:16:54.54 and the blood vessels to constrict a little bit. 00:16:54.58\00:16:56.54 So if you cause that constriction to take place, 00:16:56.58\00:16:58.85 the blood has to still go through, 00:16:58.88\00:17:00.48 so then what happens to your blood pressure? 00:17:00.52\00:17:01.88 It goes high. 00:17:01.92\00:17:03.62 So a lot of times, 00:17:03.65\00:17:04.99 it's not what we can take for the problem, 00:17:05.02\00:17:06.52 it's ascertaining, number one, 00:17:06.55\00:17:08.22 the true cause of the problem 00:17:08.26\00:17:10.03 and then working intelligently to remove that. 00:17:10.06\00:17:11.99 So I'm gonna take one medicinal plant, 00:17:12.03\00:17:13.46 when you think of herbs and drinking teas and stuff, 00:17:13.50\00:17:15.76 and that's what I'm talking about, 00:17:15.80\00:17:17.13 using medicine unnecessarily like in a form of tea, 00:17:17.17\00:17:20.14 which one do you think are most importantly? 00:17:20.17\00:17:22.14 A lot of people think of peppermint. 00:17:22.17\00:17:24.64 Peppermint tea, or mint tea. 00:17:24.67\00:17:26.91 Now this thing tastes good. 00:17:26.94\00:17:28.28 Actually I grew up on this stuff. 00:17:28.31\00:17:30.28 We used to take peppermint and just, 00:17:30.31\00:17:32.31 with that powder or soy milk, I used to love it. 00:17:32.35\00:17:35.78 But we realized after sometime that it tastes good 00:17:35.82\00:17:38.79 but at the same time, 00:17:38.82\00:17:40.16 it's probably not the best thing. 00:17:40.19\00:17:41.52 Why? 00:17:41.56\00:17:42.89 Let's look at what peppermint is actually good for. 00:17:42.92\00:17:44.33 Peppermint is good, it's an invigorator, okay? 00:17:44.36\00:17:47.83 Peppermint helps with muscle aches 00:17:47.86\00:17:49.80 and different items of that nature, 00:17:49.83\00:17:51.60 so peppermint is fantastic, 00:17:51.63\00:17:53.67 it also works to fight against viruses. 00:17:53.70\00:17:57.97 But if I'm drinking peppermint tea everyday, 00:17:58.01\00:18:00.54 let's say I get a cold or flu, 00:18:00.58\00:18:01.91 and then I try to use peppermint tea again for it, 00:18:01.94\00:18:04.15 will it work? 00:18:04.18\00:18:05.51 Not quite. 00:18:05.55\00:18:06.88 It won't have the same efficacy, 00:18:06.92\00:18:08.25 that means its power, its punch. 00:18:08.28\00:18:10.42 And so that's why I keep the peppermint tea aside 00:18:10.45\00:18:13.76 and I only use it when I feel a little itch in the throat 00:18:13.79\00:18:16.22 because it has antiviral properties, 00:18:16.26\00:18:18.59 that means, you know, drink it, 00:18:18.63\00:18:20.40 you make a tea out of it and drink it inside. 00:18:20.43\00:18:22.53 How was it also good? 00:18:22.56\00:18:23.90 It helps to fight against hepatitis as well, 00:18:23.93\00:18:26.37 because it's a anti what? 00:18:26.40\00:18:28.17 Viral. 00:18:28.20\00:18:29.54 Many people say, "Olive oil is good for muscle aches 00:18:29.57\00:18:31.31 and bone aches." 00:18:31.34\00:18:32.67 Yes, but not internally, 00:18:32.71\00:18:34.54 you have to use what is known as peppermint oil essence, 00:18:34.58\00:18:37.55 and you take that essence 00:18:37.58\00:18:38.91 and you rub it on the affected areas, 00:18:38.95\00:18:41.02 the areas where it hurts and it works very good. 00:18:41.05\00:18:43.92 However, when you look at that peppermint essence 00:18:43.95\00:18:45.95 or that oil, how much is it? 00:18:45.99\00:18:48.12 That stuff is not cheap at all. 00:18:48.16\00:18:50.36 So today, I want to share with you a little recipe. 00:18:50.39\00:18:53.40 This one, you, however, you won't drink, 00:18:53.43\00:18:55.00 you just apply it on the outside. 00:18:55.03\00:18:56.70 A little quick recipe 00:18:56.73\00:18:58.07 on how we can make our own peppermint oil essence. 00:18:58.10\00:19:00.77 When you look at the price sometimes, 00:19:00.80\00:19:02.14 it is $30, $40 for a little bottle like this. 00:19:02.17\00:19:05.14 So if you have a garden, dig a hole, throw some... 00:19:05.17\00:19:08.98 Plant, some peppermint in there, 00:19:09.01\00:19:10.55 and now you can have your own healing bond. 00:19:10.58\00:19:13.31 And here is the simple recipe for a peppermint oil essence 00:19:13.35\00:19:16.69 for the healing of the nation. 00:19:16.72\00:19:18.05 And all you need here today is... 00:19:18.09\00:19:20.49 Like literally, it's that simple, that easy, 00:19:30.50\00:19:33.44 you can make your own peppermint oil essence. 00:19:33.47\00:19:35.60 However, it doesn't happen overnight, 00:19:35.64\00:19:36.97 it's gonna take a little time and effort 00:19:37.01\00:19:38.94 and this is something that we should all implement. 00:19:38.97\00:19:41.28 Now today, I didn't even have another glass jar, 00:19:41.31\00:19:43.31 so I use two clear ones 00:19:43.35\00:19:45.01 but you can put it in a dark room 00:19:45.05\00:19:47.05 or something of that nature to help it to go ahead 00:19:47.08\00:19:50.29 and develop its concentration. 00:19:50.32\00:19:52.05 So what I have here is a bunch of leaves 00:19:52.09\00:19:54.86 and let me just pull that over here to show you. 00:19:54.89\00:19:57.19 These are just the peppermint leaves, 00:19:57.23\00:19:58.79 you can put as many as you want, 00:19:58.83\00:20:00.16 it doesn't have to be one or two, 00:20:00.20\00:20:01.53 some even dried out on me. 00:20:01.56\00:20:02.90 But, hey, work with what you have, 00:20:02.93\00:20:04.27 all right? Now let me just make a note of that actually. 00:24:56.02\00:24:58.23 There's a difference between spices and herbs. 00:24:58.26\00:25:00.40 Your spices are your more hot items 00:25:00.43\00:25:02.56 such as, your peppers, and your cinnamon, 00:25:02.60\00:25:04.63 and the clove, and the nutmeg, 00:25:04.67\00:25:06.87 and all of these things. 00:25:06.90\00:25:08.24 Now those are spices. 00:25:08.27\00:25:09.60 Your herbs are more green items. 00:25:09.64\00:25:11.44 They're delicate and medicinal. 00:25:11.47\00:25:13.21 So as many people know that even nutmeg can be poisonous. 00:25:13.24\00:25:15.74 How is that? 00:25:15.78\00:25:17.11 Because nutmeg has a item, a alkali called myristicin, 00:25:17.15\00:25:21.62 which depresses the central nervous system. 00:25:21.65\00:25:24.39 Do you know kids, way back in like the '60s, 00:25:24.42\00:25:26.99 they used to take nutmeg and, you know, they grind it down 00:25:27.02\00:25:30.63 and they take a little sniff of it? 00:25:30.66\00:25:32.59 And what it would do, 00:25:32.63\00:25:33.96 it will produce a feeling of just like, 00:25:34.00\00:25:35.80 "Hey, everything is cool, and how are you?" 00:25:35.83\00:25:38.27 You know what I mean? 00:25:38.30\00:25:39.63 Because it starts to depress the nervous system, 00:25:39.67\00:25:41.50 so we encourage you to hold off, 00:25:41.54\00:25:42.87 instead of using nutmeg in your meals, 00:25:42.90\00:25:45.91 you can use what is known as cardamom. 00:25:45.94\00:25:47.98 Instead of cinnamon, 00:25:48.01\00:25:49.34 you can use what is known as coriander. 00:25:49.38\00:25:51.85 These are just some simple substitutes, 00:25:51.88\00:25:53.38 because those spices, 00:25:53.42\00:25:54.75 what they do is they irritate the digestive track. 00:25:54.78\00:25:56.95 You have your black and white peppers, 00:25:56.99\00:25:58.39 even cloves. 00:25:58.42\00:25:59.85 Cloves, I'll talk about some of my family, 00:25:59.89\00:26:03.19 some of my family is from a certain island 00:26:03.22\00:26:04.96 and they love using cloves. 00:26:04.99\00:26:06.56 It's like they go into kitchen, 00:26:06.59\00:26:07.93 they take cloves and they throw it into air. 00:26:07.96\00:26:09.30 It's in everything, 00:26:09.33\00:26:10.67 sometimes it ends up in a juice or a drink 00:26:10.70\00:26:12.40 and I'm like, "Why are we using so much cloves?" 00:26:12.43\00:26:14.44 But they're always calling, 00:26:14.47\00:26:15.80 they're complaining about digestive problem, 00:26:15.84\00:26:17.61 not digestive problem, but like gas. 00:26:17.64\00:26:18.97 You know what I mean? 00:26:19.01\00:26:20.34 Or extra wind, is what they say. 00:26:20.38\00:26:21.71 And I say, "Well, 00:26:21.74\00:26:23.08 it's not that you can take another tea for it. 00:26:23.11\00:26:24.81 We need to stop using these spices." 00:26:24.85\00:26:27.45 'Cause spices do what? 00:26:27.48\00:26:28.82 They irritate, they irritate, they irritate, 00:26:28.85\00:26:30.19 so the body tries to protect itself 00:26:30.22\00:26:31.89 by producing more mucous, and then do you have what? 00:26:31.92\00:26:34.46 A whole gassy situation and gas is all over the place. 00:26:34.49\00:26:38.03 Sometimes they say, "Oh, the gas is here, gas is there." 00:26:38.06\00:26:41.10 And I said, "Let's just hold off 00:26:41.13\00:26:42.46 on the excess spices." 00:26:42.50\00:26:43.83 Let's use more of what? 00:26:43.87\00:26:45.20 More herbs. 00:26:45.23\00:26:46.57 And so what are some herbs that we can use? 00:26:46.60\00:26:47.94 We can use basil, we can use thyme, 00:26:47.97\00:26:50.01 we can use sage, and matter of fact, 00:26:50.04\00:26:51.91 basil as well works naturally there, 00:26:51.94\00:26:54.78 it helps with headaches. 00:26:54.81\00:26:56.41 You have sage, people use sage for like menstrual cramps, 00:26:56.44\00:27:00.12 so different items. 00:27:00.15\00:27:01.48 And these are all good 00:27:01.52\00:27:02.85 but these are very delicate and medicinal, 00:27:02.88\00:27:04.69 you can use a turmeric. 00:27:04.72\00:27:06.59 Everybody knows turmeric, yeah, turmeric is really... 00:27:06.62\00:27:09.49 You know, turmeric here, 00:27:09.52\00:27:10.86 it has what is known as a COX-2 inhibitor, 00:27:10.89\00:27:12.99 a COX what? 00:27:13.03\00:27:14.36 COX-2 inhibitor, this prevents these growths of like tumors, 00:27:14.40\00:27:19.13 and cysts, and fibroids, and stuff. 00:27:19.17\00:27:21.97 However, let me ask a quick question. 00:27:22.00\00:27:23.44 Is this gonna solve the problem? 00:27:23.47\00:27:25.07 Not quite, it's not gonna solve. 00:27:25.11\00:27:26.57 We have to get to the source of the problem. 00:27:26.61\00:27:28.04 What's causing these things to grow in our body? 00:27:28.08\00:27:30.28 What's causing these lumps in the breasts? 00:27:30.31\00:27:32.75 Even now, did you know? 00:27:32.78\00:27:34.12 Men are developing breast cancer. 00:27:34.15\00:27:36.18 You don't hear about it much. 00:27:36.22\00:27:37.55 Can you imagine your dad comes home one day and say, 00:27:37.59\00:27:39.02 "I have breast cancer." 00:27:39.05\00:27:40.39 You're gonna start looking at him funny, 00:27:40.42\00:27:41.76 you're like, "Are you really my dad?" 00:27:41.79\00:27:43.12 You know, and so they don't talk about it 00:27:43.16\00:27:44.49 but these things are happening. 00:27:44.53\00:27:45.86 How? 00:27:45.89\00:27:47.23 By eating certain products that has like, 00:27:47.26\00:27:48.60 high estrogenic stuff, 00:27:48.63\00:27:49.96 that causes other things in our bodies to grow. 00:27:50.00\00:27:52.00 But if we just follow 00:27:52.03\00:27:53.37 some of the simple basic principles 00:27:53.40\00:27:54.74 that God has given us, 00:27:54.77\00:27:56.10 the herbs and the medicinal plants 00:27:56.14\00:27:57.47 that will be for healing of the nation. 00:27:57.51\00:27:59.54 Go ahead and give it a try yourself. 00:27:59.57\00:28:01.51
