If you eat raw living foods, what do you eat? 00:00:39.43\00:00:44.51 Let me tell you. There's such a large variety, a vast variety 00:00:44.54\00:00:50.55 of recipes that you can do. And today we're going to do two 00:00:50.58\00:00:56.22 great recipes that I love. A buckwheat porridge 00:00:56.25\00:01:00.06 and an Apple Crisp. So we're going to start with the 00:01:00.09\00:01:03.79 buckwheat porridge. The recipe is 00:01:03.83\00:01:06.63 So we're going to start with the apple. And if it's organic 00:01:32.99\00:01:38.26 apple I like to keep the skin on it because that's where 00:01:38.29\00:01:43.06 a lot of the vitamins are and it still has a lot of fiber 00:01:43.10\00:01:50.44 So I'm going to chop up the apples 00:01:53.61\00:01:56.88 and you know it's a cliché but it's true 00:01:56.91\00:02:00.55 an apple a day does keep the doctor away 00:02:00.58\00:02:03.12 I love this breakfast 00:02:08.99\00:02:14.46 It's quick, it's easy and lot of people think that just because 00:02:14.50\00:02:20.84 it's raw you have to spend so much time in the kitchen 00:02:20.87\00:02:23.27 But you can do this right before you go to work 00:02:24.74\00:02:28.04 and you can have a really, really nice breakfast 00:02:28.08\00:02:31.91 So, it's all chopped up 00:02:34.82\00:02:38.25 and we're gonna use the food processor today 00:02:38.29\00:02:41.66 and we're gonna put our buck wheat groats into the processor 00:02:42.99\00:02:47.66 that have been soaking overnight 00:02:48.93\00:02:50.97 our cardamom, coriander and salt 00:02:52.47\00:02:58.24 and our honey 00:02:58.27\00:03:00.88 And this is really a recipe for one person 00:03:02.28\00:03:05.75 You can double it if you want it for more people 00:03:05.78\00:03:10.55 but it's a one person recipe 00:03:10.59\00:03:13.02 and you want to whiz it really quickly 00:03:13.05\00:03:15.86 You don't want it to be really smooth but just a little smooth 00:03:23.40\00:03:29.70 and you could put it right into the bowl 00:03:31.27\00:03:34.58 that you're going to eat from and this is really filling 00:03:37.75\00:03:43.89 because of the buckwheat groats buckwheat oat groats are very 00:03:46.19\00:03:52.66 very filling. 00:03:52.69\00:03:54.93 You wanna add your apples 00:03:57.80\00:04:00.94 Then these are soaked golden raisins 00:04:03.04\00:04:07.61 which gives it its extra sweetness 00:04:11.41\00:04:15.18 You wanna just mix this in 00:04:15.22\00:04:18.59 top it with a banana 00:04:24.39\00:04:25.93 bananas are a great source of potassium 00:04:35.70\00:04:38.41 And last but not least 00:04:41.41\00:04:45.51 your pecans. 00:04:45.55\00:04:48.35 very quick and easy breakfast 00:04:49.15\00:04:53.25 So our next recipe is an Apple Crisp 00:04:53.29\00:04:57.99 And the ingredients for that are 00:04:58.03\00:05:00.56 And we're gonna make the crust 00:05:11.07\00:05:13.98 We have our walnuts 00:05:14.88\00:05:16.78 almonds and our dates 00:05:20.08\00:05:24.09 and they've been soaking overnight 00:05:24.12\00:05:27.26 and you process it 00:05:30.69\00:05:34.33 you want a sticky consistency and this is perfect 00:05:56.12\00:06:00.49 and for our filling, we'll need 00:06:00.52\00:06:03.69 And now we're gonna do the filling 00:06:23.65\00:06:27.15 and we have 3 cups of chopped apples 00:06:27.18\00:06:31.42 our dates that have been soaking 00:06:35.12\00:06:37.89 cardamom and coriander 00:06:39.33\00:06:42.96 Ginger, oh I love ginger 00:06:44.27\00:06:47.07 salt. And we're gonna leave the raisins 00:06:47.10\00:06:51.07 whole so we'll wait until we do our mixture 00:06:51.71\00:06:54.78 and we're gonna blend it in afterwards. 00:06:54.81\00:06:58.11 And this is the filling and we are going to put it in a bowl 00:07:21.04\00:07:25.57 it's almost like apple sauce 00:07:27.94\00:07:30.31 but it's a little chunkier than apple sauce 00:07:30.35\00:07:33.21 and now we wanna combine it with the raisins 00:07:34.88\00:07:40.06 that have been soaking and wanna soak the raisins because 00:07:40.09\00:07:44.26 we want to hydrate them 00:07:44.29\00:07:46.29 and it makes it a little more easier to chew 00:07:46.33\00:07:50.47 and these are golden raisins again 00:07:50.50\00:07:53.80 This is a great recipe for breakfast and it also can be a 00:07:57.61\00:08:02.11 great dessert recipe. 00:08:02.14\00:08:03.75 So now we're going to use a springform pan 00:08:03.78\00:08:08.38 cause we're gonna do this recipe for just one person 00:08:08.42\00:08:10.89 so we're gonna take our crust 00:08:13.15\00:08:15.32 and put a lot in cause we wanna press it down 00:08:17.86\00:08:22.20 Keep pressing. So we wanna put maybe an eighth of an inch 00:08:25.93\00:08:31.17 of the crust in, push it down 00:08:31.21\00:08:36.11 and now we want to put our filling 00:08:39.91\00:08:42.72 smells good. The cardamom, the ginger 00:08:45.92\00:08:49.82 Wonderful 00:08:51.16\00:08:52.96 And then we wanna pack it down 00:08:57.47\00:09:00.14 Then top it with our crust 00:09:03.67\00:09:06.44 You see how easy this is. It's a real quick, easy recipe 00:09:09.34\00:09:14.15 And then we want to open up our springform pan 00:09:24.23\00:09:29.66 and hopefully it will set 00:09:31.73\00:09:36.44 and there you have it 00:09:36.47\00:09:39.74 You can serve it with a little cashew cream on top 00:09:39.77\00:09:42.84 or just like it is. 00:09:42.88\00:09:46.08 This is a wonderful breakfast that I truly love. 00:09:46.11\00:09:51.75 Let us always remember, Live Life Fresh! 00:09:51.79\00:09:57.96 We are back for a taste of real Paradise 00:10:05.03\00:10:09.07 Lots of time we talk about a taste of paradise 00:10:09.10\00:10:12.07 we think about different places we think about maybe, Caribbean 00:10:12.11\00:10:15.21 or maybe we think about islands in the Pacific 00:10:15.24\00:10:17.88 or something of that nature. But when we really think about 00:10:17.91\00:10:21.18 Paradise we think about some of the good food that we eat 00:10:21.22\00:10:24.75 and some of the good herbs and spices that go into the food 00:10:24.79\00:10:29.59 and so today we're gonna look at some of those items 00:10:29.62\00:10:32.53 so get your pens, your paper ready because we gonna really 00:10:32.56\00:10:35.30 dig a little deep here, but we gonna make some really healthy 00:10:35.33\00:10:38.63 tasty food and also when we think of those spices and stuff 00:10:38.67\00:10:43.54 there's one that kinda sticks out the most, especially when 00:10:43.57\00:10:46.61 you talk a Taste of Paradise or a Taste of the Caribbean 00:10:46.64\00:10:50.25 and it's normally what? Curry, curry. Everybody loves curry 00:10:50.28\00:10:53.85 We love the spices that goes with it. You just think of like 00:10:53.88\00:10:56.69 Indian dishes. You like just can't wait you know, the smell 00:10:56.72\00:11:00.49 is like all the way, who knows three, four blocks down 00:11:00.52\00:11:03.63 and you're like, man I can't wait to get some. 00:11:03.66\00:11:05.99 And sometimes we wanna bring it home as well. 00:11:06.03\00:11:08.70 We can do so but now we're gonna try our best to do 00:11:08.73\00:11:11.63 it with healthy alternatives because a lot of times you 00:11:11.67\00:11:14.27 remember you have all that good delicious food and at the end of 00:11:14.30\00:11:18.04 the day you go home and there's trouble in the camp! 00:11:18.07\00:11:21.71 You know what I'm talkin about, what kinda trouble? 00:11:21.74\00:11:23.41 Burning all the way down, all the way down, literally 00:11:23.45\00:11:26.88 all the way down and you know what I'm talkin about there 00:11:26.92\00:11:30.49 and that is a kind of a sign that maybe the body has a 00:11:30.52\00:11:34.16 little problem handling some of these spices, you know. 00:11:34.19\00:11:37.69 We love it but then at the end of the day you're just like 00:11:37.73\00:11:41.33 you know at the end of it, actually I was flying to 00:11:41.36\00:11:43.57 India not too long ago and I had a chance to meet with 00:11:43.60\00:11:46.90 one gentleman who was sitting next to me on the plane 00:11:46.94\00:11:48.84 and he was like, yeah I can't wait to get there I'm gonna eat 00:11:48.87\00:11:51.54 some good food. But I have a backup plan. I said, a back up 00:11:51.57\00:11:54.64 plan for what? He said because my body doesn't like it 00:11:54.68\00:11:57.45 And he pulled out all of these anti-acid medication and stuff 00:11:57.48\00:12:02.78 of that nature and why do we have to suffer when we're tryin 00:12:02.82\00:12:07.12 to enjoy something? So why don't we focus on enjoyin it 00:12:07.16\00:12:11.19 and no sufferin? And there's a way we can do that 00:12:11.23\00:12:13.60 and the reason why the sufferin usually takes place 00:12:13.63\00:12:16.43 unfortunately is because a lot of those spices are basically 00:12:16.46\00:12:20.50 what we know as irritants. So they irritate the digestive 00:12:20.54\00:12:23.71 tract. The whole process. They irritate you here too, you just 00:12:23.74\00:12:27.34 don't realize. People start eatin, you see them pullin 00:12:27.38\00:12:29.64 out their handkerchiefs cause they're sweatin up a storm 00:12:29.68\00:12:31.81 the temperature is risin and the AC is still on and you're like 00:12:31.85\00:12:35.32 what's goin on here? It's because it's not only irritated 00:12:35.35\00:12:38.55 it's stimulated and the body is like 'Fire in the Camp' 00:12:38.59\00:12:42.62 And as a result you start to have all of these other problems 00:12:42.66\00:12:46.29 So what we have to do now is look at ways that we can make a 00:12:46.33\00:12:51.07 little adjustment. We're not here to change nobody 00:12:51.10\00:12:53.47 we're here to make an adjustment so we can enjoy this good 00:12:53.50\00:12:56.91 healthy food. And what are some of those items in the curry that 00:12:56.94\00:13:00.64 causes major problems? Ok curry is made up of almost 10, 12 00:13:00.68\00:13:05.68 15 different ingredients and spices. You have the pepper, 00:13:05.71\00:13:08.38 Of course that goes in there. It goes in hot and comes out 00:13:08.42\00:13:12.42 hot. That's probably a sign that your body can't handle that. 00:13:12.45\00:13:14.92 So as a matter of fact let me expound on that point a bit 00:13:14.96\00:13:18.06 Yeah you pepper lovers thought we'll get away with it 00:13:18.09\00:13:20.50 and that's me included. I'm talkin about all peppers. 00:13:20.53\00:13:23.90 especially the hot ones. Not the sweet ones we're talking 00:13:23.93\00:13:26.57 about. We're talkin about the hot peppers right now. 00:13:26.60\00:13:28.50 Everybody's cryin about my blood pressure is high 00:13:28.54\00:13:31.04 what should I do? I eat healthy I do this healthy and I'm just 00:13:31.07\00:13:34.21 using this. As a matter of fact I had a chance at work and 00:13:34.24\00:13:36.95 I was in Alabama somewhere, I won't tell you so you don't look 00:13:36.98\00:13:39.51 up the people there. One gentleman said, man when I came 00:13:39.55\00:13:43.25 into the knowledge of health and stuff you know they taught 00:13:43.28\00:13:46.42 me that I shouldn't be using black and white pepper 00:13:46.45\00:13:48.46 So I said, great brother you're doing an excellent job. 00:13:48.49\00:13:50.99 So what did you do? He said, man when I came in they gave me 00:13:51.03\00:13:54.16 something else, they gave me cayenne pepper. I was like, OK 00:13:54.20\00:13:58.00 interesting, interesting. He said, man I used that thing 00:13:58.03\00:14:00.80 he said, Lord have mercy. The next day fire and brimstone 00:14:00.84\00:14:05.07 came down on me. I said, what happened? Jesus didn't come yet 00:14:05.11\00:14:08.64 He said, Lord I almost called in sick. I went to the restroom 00:14:08.68\00:14:13.21 and man I didn't know what to do Y'all know what I'm talkin about 00:14:13.25\00:14:17.02 fire and brimstone. It burned this poor brother almost to 00:14:17.05\00:14:20.56 death. He said, I didn't know what to do 00:14:20.59\00:14:22.36 he said I just got a piece of towel, wet it up a little bit 00:14:22.39\00:14:25.29 I kinda took care of my business and he said I made my way 00:14:25.33\00:14:28.50 to work. He said, it was burnin, I was strugglin. And I said 00:14:28.53\00:14:32.07 have mercy. Y'all know what? That's a sign here 00:14:32.10\00:14:34.87 You know what that's a sign of? Your body can't even handle 00:14:34.90\00:14:38.77 that cayenne. It's spicy. Like that rule of thumb, watch this 00:14:38.81\00:14:42.51 watch this, let's call a time out. I see everybody gettin 00:14:42.54\00:14:45.98 uncomfortable in their seats right now. They're saying, 00:14:46.01\00:14:48.25 wait a second man, are you tellin us cayenne is bad for us? 00:14:48.28\00:14:51.25 No, this is what I'll share with you. Cayenne has its 00:14:51.29\00:14:53.66 purpose, ok? What did we say? It has it's what? Its purpose 00:14:53.69\00:14:58.59 However, maybe one of those purposes is not inside. 00:14:58.63\00:15:01.70 What we said is it's good for circulation. Obviously 00:15:01.73\00:15:05.20 when the fire comes in your body is like, who let the fire 00:15:05.23\00:15:09.60 in? Let's get the fire out. So what happens? The body now tries 00:15:09.64\00:15:13.31 to compensate, get the circulation going, to bring 00:15:13.34\00:15:16.04 as much fluid to the what? The digestive tract because 00:15:16.08\00:15:18.81 it's burning. I'll tell you what cayenne is really good for. 00:15:18.85\00:15:21.18 It's been shown that cayenne works externally even better. 00:15:21.22\00:15:24.79 If you ever have muscle or arthritic pain it works as an 00:15:24.82\00:15:28.42 analgesic. Mix that with a little bit of olive oil 00:15:28.46\00:15:30.76 you put a cheese cloth on your knee here and you put that there 00:15:30.79\00:15:33.90 you make a little poultice and put that cayenne right on top of 00:15:33.93\00:15:36.16 that. Hold it there for a little while but not too long 00:15:36.20\00:15:38.87 Now why not too long? I'll tell you a quick story. 00:15:38.90\00:15:42.37 My mom was at one of my presentations. She heard me 00:15:42.40\00:15:45.67 talkin about the benefits of cayenne, externally that is 00:15:45.71\00:15:49.04 So she ran home before I could finish the presentation 00:15:49.08\00:15:52.38 and she has arthritis like to the 10th power, really bad 00:15:52.41\00:15:55.82 and she went and make this little thing, she didn't put 00:15:55.85\00:15:58.79 cheese cloth or anything, she put it right on her knees 00:15:58.82\00:16:01.62 her knees are bad. She used to be a police officer in New York 00:16:01.66\00:16:04.19 and she hurt her knee one time. She put it on her knee 00:16:04.23\00:16:07.26 When I finally came back and checked on her, she said you're 00:16:07.30\00:16:11.03 not sharing good information. I said why not? 00:16:11.07\00:16:12.97 She said, look at my knee. And when she lifted up her knee 00:16:13.00\00:16:16.30 blisters were on it. I said who did this to you? 00:16:16.34\00:16:19.41 Where is he at? Nobody did it to me. You did it to me. 00:16:19.44\00:16:23.04 I was like, how did I do that? She said you didn't tell me 00:16:23.08\00:16:25.58 I said, Mom you left before I could finish my program 00:16:25.61\00:16:28.15 You were supposed to do it only for a little while and you were 00:16:28.18\00:16:30.65 not supposed to put it directly on the skin. She said, why not? 00:16:30.69\00:16:33.66 I said, look what happened? It will burn you. She says, no way. 00:16:33.69\00:16:37.73 She said I didn't believe it before but I believe it now 00:16:37.76\00:16:40.23 Now watch this. Her messed up knee, one that you have scars 00:16:40.26\00:16:44.07 and stuff for years, all kinda calluses and stuff on the knee 00:16:44.10\00:16:49.20 The cayenne will burn right through that! 00:16:49.24\00:16:51.11 Can you imagine what it does inside the system? 00:16:52.47\00:16:55.38 The exposed soft mucosa tissue of your body? 00:16:56.48\00:17:00.08 It's burning. Yeah it's going to be circulation alright 00:17:00.12\00:17:03.28 It says put that fire out. So let's call a time out. 00:17:03.32\00:17:06.65 Are we sayin it's bad? Not at all. It works to relieve 00:17:06.69\00:17:10.39 the pain as analgesic. Fungus as well. Do you know cayenne 00:17:10.43\00:17:14.20 you make a poultice out of it. I remember I was in this place 00:17:14.23\00:17:16.67 a little far away land and I was doin a program. And I said, look 00:17:16.70\00:17:19.63 when you invite me, I'll stay anywhere you know, just let me 00:17:19.67\00:17:23.54 know. I was stayin in a hotel and I used one of those cloths 00:17:23.57\00:17:27.04 of whatever and a little fungus started developing, right here 00:17:27.08\00:17:31.25 don't look too close now. Little fungus. I was like, man 00:17:31.28\00:17:33.48 I can't be teachin people about health and I got fungus growin 00:17:33.52\00:17:36.72 out of my head. So I went ahead and I got some cayenne and I 00:17:36.75\00:17:39.89 mixed it up and I put it right there and I waited just about 00:17:39.92\00:17:44.03 a minute, washed it off and then I said, alright tomorrow I'm 00:17:44.06\00:17:46.70 gonna give it the next dose. And I did it again tomorrow 00:17:46.73\00:17:48.60 Man that fungus took off. I don't know where it went, 00:17:48.63\00:17:51.13 but it went everywhere besides here because it said who let 00:17:51.17\00:17:53.70 the fire in this place? It burned right through that 00:17:53.74\00:17:56.94 So we got a chance to work with one of our clients. 00:17:56.97\00:18:01.11 Her blood pressure was high. She said, what's goin on? 00:18:01.14\00:18:03.65 I don't know what to do. The information worked and I started 00:18:03.68\00:18:06.92 doin it but my blood pressure started creeping back up 00:18:06.95\00:18:09.05 We sat down with her, We began to pray and we were about to 00:18:09.08\00:18:11.65 eat some delicious food. And before we prayed she said, Oh 00:18:11.69\00:18:15.12 this good healthy food, I need to add some pepper to it 00:18:15.16\00:18:17.93 She said I'm using the good pepper, the cayenne. 00:18:17.96\00:18:19.66 We saw her, she went to put it on and we said, sister that one 00:18:19.69\00:18:23.26 goes in the garden. Make yourself a new plate. 00:18:23.30\00:18:25.67 And do you know, just by her using that, now watch this 00:18:25.70\00:18:29.00 it started to gradually increase her blood pressure. 00:18:29.04\00:18:31.87 You don't believe me. If you're usin it, try it and watch 00:18:31.91\00:18:33.81 what will happen to the blood pressure. It's hot. It's what 00:18:33.84\00:18:35.84 is known as a stimulant. Read it yourself. It's one of the 00:18:35.88\00:18:39.25 greatest stimulants as well. But we're not sayin it's bad 00:18:39.28\00:18:42.62 It has it's what? It has it's purpose. 00:18:42.65\00:18:45.19 Give it a try and you'll see. That is one of the things 00:18:45.22\00:18:48.36 in curry that we gravitate to, and we already know this 00:18:48.39\00:18:51.93 cause when you first started using the pepper you only did 00:18:51.96\00:18:54.33 one dash. You ate it, it was pretty good right? 00:18:54.36\00:18:57.83 Then you went back again and you went two dashes 00:18:57.87\00:19:02.07 Pretty good, pretty good. Then how do we do pepper now? 00:19:02.10\00:19:06.37 We can't eat without 3 or 4 dashes, we're like the food 00:19:06.41\00:19:09.38 doesn't taste good unless I have some what? some pepper. 00:19:09.41\00:19:12.38 So we gotta get ourselves off of this high if I could say that 00:19:12.41\00:19:18.49 and if anybody knows about the high, it was me. I put pepper 00:19:18.52\00:19:21.66 in everything. Fruit, salad, everything. Pepper was in it. 00:19:21.69\00:19:24.33 Until I started to learn. So give it a try, we're not 00:19:24.36\00:19:26.93 here to tell anybody to do anything but I'll tell you this 00:19:26.96\00:19:29.33 when in doubt, leave it out. 00:19:29.36\00:19:31.60 And your body will tell you that as well. 00:19:31.63\00:19:33.34 So that's why we're gonna make some good, healthy curry 00:19:33.37\00:19:36.04 that has a good mild flavor but avoidin all the problems 00:19:36.07\00:19:40.58 intestinal inflammation, acid reflux that comes with use 00:19:40.61\00:19:45.91 of all of these spices. And it's a really simple recipe 00:19:45.95\00:19:48.72 you probably have most of the ingredients in your home 00:19:48.75\00:19:51.32 and I'm gonna share this with you and we'll get to a couple of 00:19:51.35\00:19:54.32 other things that come along with the curry and here it is 00:19:54.36\00:19:57.53 A lot of times its hard to find so we're not going to make it 00:20:35.43\00:20:37.67 a requirement for your curry. As a matter of fact I'll tell 00:20:37.70\00:20:40.80 you a secret. I couldn't even find it here so it's not gonna 00:20:40.84\00:20:43.34 be in this curry today but the flavor is still there 00:20:43.37\00:20:46.54 you can enjoy it as well. And it's really, really simple. I 00:20:46.57\00:20:50.65 hope you all remember as well what do we normally use 00:20:50.68\00:20:54.28 we use coriander in place of cinnamon. We use the what? 00:20:54.32\00:20:57.59 cardamom in place of nutmeg. These are some ingredients 00:20:57.62\00:21:01.99 that they use to make the average curry but they also use 00:21:02.02\00:21:05.13 cloves and a whole bunch of other things 00:21:05.16\00:21:08.30 you just double check the ingredients yourself 00:21:08.33\00:21:10.03 and it's real simple how to make I just put these here 00:21:10.07\00:21:12.70 on this plate, just go ahead and check it out. 00:21:12.73\00:21:14.87 And I just line them up nicely. If you're at home and you have 00:21:14.90\00:21:17.61 a bowl, just put it all in a bowl and that works the same way 00:21:17.64\00:21:22.14 so we have the paprika, the coriander, the cumin. Cumin is 00:21:22.18\00:21:26.72 my favorite, one of the favorites. You add that a little 00:21:26.75\00:21:30.75 bit to tofu and your tofu turns into tiken! 00:21:30.79\00:21:33.42 That's not chicken but that's tofu chicken. Oh man, cumin is 00:21:33.46\00:21:36.83 is an amazing, excellent spice and then we have the turmeric 00:21:36.86\00:21:39.86 which will add the color to it. So just watch this 00:21:39.89\00:21:41.50 I'm just going to go ahead and bring those nicely together 00:21:41.53\00:21:44.33 here. As a matter of fact people have been smelling this 00:21:44.37\00:21:47.27 and I didn't even mix it up yet. And we are going to 00:21:47.30\00:21:50.87 the Caribbean right here for sure! 00:21:50.91\00:21:53.38 Now you just mix those up nicely and you will get 00:21:53.41\00:21:56.54 your curry, it's smelling like, smelling like Trinidad up here. 00:21:56.58\00:22:01.68 And now you have it nice, simple, easy. Like I said 00:22:01.72\00:22:07.02 fenugreek will be an additional one you can add. But you know 00:22:07.06\00:22:10.86 if you have it. Most times you don't find it generally unless 00:22:10.89\00:22:14.26 you go to a specialty shop but sometimes you can also find it 00:22:14.30\00:22:17.97 in, sometimes people use it as a supplement. So sometimes 00:22:18.00\00:22:24.87 when I'm around, I go back home check on my girl friend 00:22:24.91\00:22:27.34 my girl friend is my mom of course and she has fenugreek 00:22:27.38\00:22:29.94 on her counter. I go ahead and grab some of those capsules 00:22:29.98\00:22:33.58 and I take out the fenugreek and put it in there. And she's 00:22:33.62\00:22:36.95 like, who stole my fenugreek? And I say, you did cause now 00:22:36.99\00:22:40.36 you're eatin it. And I make something real nice. And that's 00:22:40.39\00:22:42.66 what we're gonna do today. We're gonna make some potato curry 00:22:42.69\00:22:44.26 Some simple curry in a hurry and I want you to see how we do 00:22:44.29\00:22:48.90 this cause we have the curry here, the healthy curry that 00:22:48.93\00:22:51.90 you don't have to worry about. But we're now gonna look at how 00:22:51.93\00:22:54.70 to take this curry and make something real nice such as 00:22:54.74\00:22:57.51 potato curry and the ingredients are really simple, mostly 00:22:57.54\00:23:01.04 what you already have at home. 00:23:01.08\00:23:02.41 Really simple, really easy. This is what we call potato curry 00:23:29.77\00:23:35.08 in a hurry cause I know some of y'all have to have time 00:23:35.11\00:23:38.88 you're rushin to your appointments and stuff 00:23:38.91\00:23:40.98 and I can show you how to do it real easy, look 00:23:41.02\00:23:43.02 at me makin a mess. All you do is take your cashews alright 00:23:43.05\00:23:46.92 put that in a blender, real simple and easy. 00:23:46.96\00:23:50.06 I have cashew bits here, if you have whole regular cashews 00:23:50.09\00:23:53.80 go ahead, preferably raw cause it has the nice good stuff 00:23:53.83\00:23:58.60 hasn't been dried out as you have in the roasted ones 00:23:58.63\00:24:01.87 Then we're going to go ahead and add salt to it. 00:24:01.90\00:24:05.21 So we're basically putting all of the ingredients, ooh you know 00:24:05.24\00:24:08.74 what, I'm gonna start right here. I'm gonna pour this water 00:24:08.78\00:24:11.78 One and half cups, and depending on your blender, ok 00:24:11.81\00:24:17.95 so I'm gonna put that and I can show you two ways to do it 00:24:17.99\00:24:22.16 Bear with me I'm gonna be real quick. I'm gonna blend this one 00:24:22.19\00:24:24.53 we're gonna make the cream first. 00:24:24.56\00:24:26.56 Now what you do is you add a little extra cashews in here 00:24:44.41\00:24:49.55 Basically you can make cashew milk right here, you just put 00:24:49.58\00:24:52.19 less salt of course. You can put more cashews and make 00:24:52.22\00:24:56.66 cashew cream. That's another thing that you can do here 00:24:56.69\00:25:01.10 You put honey in that, man matter of fact I'll probably 00:25:01.13\00:25:04.17 make a recipe and I'll show you how to make a nice, sweet 00:25:04.20\00:25:07.27 cashew cream, you know how sometimes you have the 00:25:07.30\00:25:09.50 fruit salad and you put sweet milk, condensed milk over it 00:25:09.54\00:25:13.24 well you don't have to do that no more, we're gonna show you 00:25:13.27\00:25:15.01 how to do that but you gotta keep watchin now 00:25:15.04\00:25:16.71 Then what we're gonna do now, we're gonna take the rest of the 00:25:16.75\00:25:19.41 onions, we already had them chopped. Y'all don't need to 00:25:19.45\00:25:23.18 see me choppin up no onions. You all know how to cut onions 00:25:23.22\00:25:25.35 and garlic. And I put the garlic in here, alright. Then I'm gonna 00:25:25.39\00:25:29.92 put the top but I need one last thing. We have 2 tablespoons 00:25:29.96\00:25:35.10 of that nice curry in a hurry. 00:25:35.13\00:25:39.23 Matter of fact that's everything there, that's about 2 tablespoon 00:25:40.04\00:25:43.91 You put that over. 00:25:45.27\00:25:46.98 Now you wanna make sure you blend it properly so you don't 00:26:14.40\00:26:16.94 hear little cracklin sounds. People are knockin at your door 00:26:16.97\00:26:20.18 that's really your blender. That's a sign that the cashews 00:26:20.21\00:26:22.84 haven't been blended properly. So you blend it properly there 00:26:22.88\00:26:25.58 and you get your nice curry cream. Alright I don't know 00:26:25.61\00:26:30.39 if you're ready but here's the key. Remember how we said we'd 00:26:30.42\00:26:32.45 take 4-5 medium potatoes. What you do with those potatoes 00:26:32.49\00:26:36.39 you take it, I'm so excited to grab this. You take it now and 00:26:36.42\00:26:39.89 boil it a little bit till it's nice and tender there 00:26:39.93\00:26:41.96 you can boil it all the way it's up to you. And then you 00:26:42.00\00:26:44.60 take nice cream. Follow me here. This is some good stuff 00:26:44.63\00:26:48.37 and you pour that over it nicely. This is potato curry 00:26:48.40\00:26:52.71 in a hurry. Remember we're in a hurry, so we gotta get 00:26:52.74\00:26:55.08 this going quickly. As you can notice I made a little extra 00:26:55.11\00:26:59.68 sauce. You can do however you like there, um and then 00:26:59.71\00:27:05.45 you can take that and bake it a little bit 00:27:05.49\00:27:08.12 Let me just shake it up a bit nice and delicious when it bakes 00:27:09.32\00:27:13.09 it dehydrates it a little bit so you can bake it or you can 00:27:13.13\00:27:16.46 actually do this on a stove top too. So here you go. 00:27:16.50\00:27:20.60 And then I'll show you the finished product. 00:27:20.64\00:27:22.44 Voila! We have potato curry in a hurry. 00:27:22.47\00:27:29.84 Don't worry any more you can have your good healthy curry 00:27:29.88\00:27:34.62 and enjoy it. And this won't raise your blood pressure 00:27:34.65\00:27:37.49 In fact your blood pressure may hit the ground cause its healthy 00:27:37.52\00:27:40.76 for you, so tasty. Where's my spoon? I may even have to 00:27:40.79\00:27:44.09 dip into this a little bit. And watch this, we can go 00:27:44.13\00:27:47.20 to the Caribbean but we don't have to come back suffering 00:27:47.23\00:27:50.50 we can come back enjoying it we can leave those spices there 00:27:50.53\00:27:54.64 and come back home with some herbs. Herbs is the difference 00:27:54.67\00:27:57.34 But you'll enjoy it. Your Potato Curry in a Hurry 00:27:57.37\00:27:59.97
