"A Taste of Paradise". 00:00:11.51\00:00:13.88 Welcome to "A Taste of Paradise". 00:00:32.49\00:00:35.16 My name is Evita Tezeno, and today we are going to talk about 00:00:35.20\00:00:39.20 seeds, seeds, and more seeds. Our first recipe is going to be 00:00:39.23\00:00:44.31 a Blueberry Chia Seed recipe. 00:00:44.34\00:00:47.31 Let's see the ingredients: 00:00:47.34\00:00:49.94 So, what we did was we take these Chia seeds, which are 00:01:17.74\00:01:27.92 amazing, they are high in protein, 00:01:27.95\00:01:33.12 they are a complete protein. They have nine essential 00:01:33.15\00:01:39.06 amino acids, they are a great source of minerals and vitamins, 00:01:39.09\00:01:50.21 and we are taking the Chia seeds and combining them 00:01:50.24\00:01:53.78 with Almond Milk, and if you are wondering how to make 00:01:53.81\00:01:57.08 Almond Milk, look at one of my previous video's 00:01:57.11\00:02:01.58 from season one, we did the Almond Milk. 00:02:01.62\00:02:04.55 This is soaked over night, I prepared this before hand, 00:02:04.59\00:02:12.59 and you see it gets... the term is called gelatinous. 00:02:12.63\00:02:17.33 It gets very gelatinous, so we want to put the Chia seeds 00:02:17.37\00:02:23.51 in the Food Processor, dates, salt, the vanilla extract, 00:02:23.54\00:02:40.39 the cardamom and the coriander, and we want to process it. 00:02:40.42\00:02:49.03 After the ingredients are all processed, we want to add the 00:03:07.95\00:03:12.32 banana...bananas are a great source of potassium, 00:03:12.35\00:03:18.93 wonderful, break up the banana, process... 00:03:18.96\00:03:26.43 We want to make sure that everything is combined, 00:03:38.85\00:03:42.45 no lumps...there is a little lump there. 00:03:42.48\00:03:45.15 We get a bowl, add your blueberries, 00:04:04.64\00:04:18.99 and this is so filling, it's wonderful, 00:04:21.39\00:04:24.96 and there you have it. Look at this, the blueberries 00:04:24.99\00:04:31.90 add so much color and it's so delicious. 00:04:31.93\00:04:35.84 Our next recipe will be a Cheesy Hemp sauce. 00:04:35.87\00:04:39.97 The ingredients are: 00:04:40.01\00:04:41.38 Now, we are going to use the Food Processor because I want it 00:05:16.81\00:05:20.88 a little chunky, so we will start with Hemp seed... 00:05:20.92\00:05:25.09 Hemp seed is a great source of the essential fatty acids, 00:05:25.12\00:05:31.09 it is a power food, it's high in protein, 00:05:31.13\00:05:35.60 it's good when you want to work out and you want that 00:05:35.63\00:05:38.47 extra umpff, Hemp seeds are wonderful. 00:05:38.50\00:05:42.44 Combine the Hemp seed, the water, the red bell peppers, 00:05:42.47\00:05:51.31 the date, the Nutritional yeast, the onion, the Bragg's Aminos, 00:05:51.35\00:06:05.66 the salt, the Cayenne, and the Turmeric, and we process. 00:06:05.69\00:06:15.87 So we are going to plate it now. It smells incredible, 00:06:45.03\00:06:54.24 and it is a great source of protein, like I said 00:06:54.28\00:07:03.28 and it is so good for people that work out, 00:07:03.32\00:07:07.06 and they want that extra protein. 00:07:07.09\00:07:09.42 Look at the colors, the taste of it kind of reminds you of 00:07:09.46\00:07:19.00 pimento cheese, so I am going to try it. 00:07:19.03\00:07:26.34 I have celery sticks, and zucchini's, and carrots. 00:07:26.37\00:07:31.85 Let's see. Ummm! 00:07:31.88\00:07:37.49 This is so good. Remember, live life fresh. 00:07:37.52\00:07:46.90 Ohh! This is not easy. How are you all doing? 00:07:54.14\00:07:59.71 Well, I see Evita is making all of this food and didn't 00:07:59.74\00:08:03.04 even leave any for me. Well that's alright, 00:08:03.08\00:08:05.25 I went to get my own food, because we are going to go ahead 00:08:05.28\00:08:07.25 and we're going to cook on this Taste of Paradise Program, 00:08:07.28\00:08:10.92 and I know you all will enjoy... 00:08:10.95\00:08:12.62 Well, most importantly today, we are going to do something 00:08:12.65\00:08:14.62 really special. As you remember from past, we are now in the 00:08:14.66\00:08:18.79 V.I.P. room. I think you all remember what the V.I.P. room 00:08:18.83\00:08:22.30 is, I know it is a very important place, 00:08:22.33\00:08:24.67 a very important room of the house, and normally when we 00:08:24.70\00:08:28.34 think of the V.I.P. room, we think of Executive Clubs, 00:08:28.37\00:08:30.84 we think of maybe a club and there's a special area 00:08:30.87\00:08:33.81 or just a place where special people go. 00:08:33.84\00:08:35.98 Well, I'm going to invite everybody here today to the 00:08:36.01\00:08:38.15 V.I.P. room... as a matter of fact, I think you even have it 00:08:38.18\00:08:40.55 in your own home, and it is the kitchen. 00:08:40.58\00:08:43.32 I know many people think the bedroom is important, 00:08:43.35\00:08:46.12 or maybe even the bathroom... Now the bathroom is important, 00:08:46.15\00:08:49.32 you use it, you live, you don't use it, you may die. 00:08:49.36\00:08:52.49 So all of that is good, but today the kitchen, 00:08:52.53\00:08:56.53 we find out is the most important place. 00:08:56.56\00:08:58.87 There's an old saying and it is written, and it says, 00:08:58.90\00:09:01.27 Upon many graves it is written why the person... 00:09:01.30\00:09:04.31 If we could really see why it is written, why they are there, 00:09:04.34\00:09:07.01 it says because of poor cookery. 00:09:07.04\00:09:09.18 So if we can cook properly, and we can make this kitchen 00:09:09.21\00:09:12.38 the most important room in the house, 00:09:12.41\00:09:13.85 then maybe there won't be so many tomb stones anymore, 00:09:13.88\00:09:16.58 and we can all live. 00:09:16.62\00:09:17.95 But here's the key, a lot of people say ok, I want to use 00:09:17.99\00:09:20.49 my V.I.P. room...as a matter of fact, 00:09:20.52\00:09:22.59 I've spent all of this money on this thing... 00:09:22.62\00:09:24.99 As a matter of fact, when you look at renovations, 00:09:25.03\00:09:26.86 and you know, you watch these shows on TV, 00:09:26.90\00:09:28.83 which room do they spend the most money on? 00:09:28.86\00:09:31.13 Probably the kitchen, and so what we're going to do now, 00:09:31.17\00:09:34.04 we're going to take advantage of this. 00:09:34.07\00:09:35.54 Why spend 3, 4, 5, 10, $15,000 on a room and we barely use it? 00:09:35.57\00:09:41.01 My friend was sharing the other day, that he knows somebody 00:09:41.04\00:09:44.15 that has a three thousand square foot kitchen, 00:09:44.18\00:09:46.61 that is bigger than where I live, but they barely use it. 00:09:46.65\00:09:49.52 So now we are going to use it today, and a lot of people say 00:09:49.55\00:09:52.79 ok, alright, alright Nyse. So we want to use it, 00:09:52.82\00:09:54.92 but how do we do it? Well, here's the first thing. 00:09:54.96\00:09:57.56 As you see, I went shopping here, 00:09:57.59\00:09:59.39 I bought a lot of good, healthy food... 00:09:59.43\00:10:01.46 we got to look at some staples and different items 00:10:01.50\00:10:03.06 of that nature. But first and most importantly, 00:10:03.10\00:10:05.60 we got to make sure... There's a certain area 00:10:05.63\00:10:08.57 in this V.I.P. room, it's where you stock the goods. 00:10:08.60\00:10:11.54 A lot of times when I go into people's homes, and they say 00:10:11.57\00:10:14.44 I would love to learn how to cook and what do I need to do? 00:10:14.48\00:10:17.81 The first thing I go to, is the refrigerator, 00:10:17.85\00:10:21.38 and so many times when we go to this refrigerator... 00:10:21.42\00:10:24.75 I just came from one home and I went and I opened the 00:10:24.79\00:10:28.72 refrigerator, and it like scared me, it was so much stuff 00:10:28.76\00:10:33.23 in that fridge, I didn't know what to do. 00:10:33.26\00:10:35.46 How can we cook something when it looks like something 00:10:35.50\00:10:38.53 is already cooking in the fridge. 00:10:38.57\00:10:39.90 You all know what I'm talking about. 00:10:39.93\00:10:41.27 Stuff has been in that fridge for years, 00:10:41.30\00:10:44.07 that's not even talking about that door handle... 00:10:44.11\00:10:46.21 you' all know what I'm talking about those little containers 00:10:46.24\00:10:47.71 with those red, that red little paste in there. 00:10:47.74\00:10:50.48 Man, if you look at the dates, it already expired, 00:10:50.51\00:10:53.15 expired is usually supposed to mean in the future... 00:10:53.18\00:10:55.12 Our expiration date has already passed, we need to start 00:10:55.15\00:10:58.32 clearing up the refrigerator. You know, there is an old 00:10:58.35\00:11:01.62 saying, you don't know where you are going, if you don't know 00:11:01.66\00:11:04.99 where you are at. So let's find out where we are at 00:11:05.03\00:11:07.23 let's clean up the kitchen, and as I went into that home, 00:11:07.26\00:11:10.37 and I looked at the fridge, I said well, look here brother, 00:11:10.40\00:11:13.23 before we can start cooking today, we need to have some 00:11:13.27\00:11:16.07 directions. A path cleared out for us, and so he said 00:11:16.10\00:11:20.11 what shall I do? I said, let's clean the fridge, 00:11:20.14\00:11:22.78 and the funniest thing because as you see we went shopping 00:11:22.81\00:11:25.65 and when we brought all the food, there was no place 00:11:25.68\00:11:27.02 to put it, and you all know what I'm talking about. 00:11:27.05\00:11:28.42 Sometimes we forget about that fridge and we buy another 00:11:28.45\00:11:31.55 one, we have two fridges now, so we have so much blessings, 00:11:31.59\00:11:34.66 you know what I am talking about there as well. 00:11:34.69\00:11:36.02 We become over blessed, but we started to work on that fridge, 00:11:36.06\00:11:39.59 and started cleaning it, and you know what the funniest 00:11:39.63\00:11:42.53 thing was? We had so much room when we finished cleaning 00:11:42.56\00:11:45.57 the fridge. We had like two shelves empty and ready to roll, 00:11:45.60\00:11:49.90 but there was two big garbage bags on the floor, 00:11:49.94\00:11:52.14 Because there was so much stuff in there that was growing and 00:11:52.17\00:11:55.41 I don't know, if the police would have come an 00:11:55.44\00:11:57.88 they would have though he was making something else, 00:11:57.91\00:11:59.41 so you know what I am talking about. 00:11:59.45\00:12:00.78 But let's not grow any more in the fridge, 00:12:00.82\00:12:03.42 we have gardens for that, so let's clean it up and 00:12:03.45\00:12:06.12 let's get some direction and now after we done that part, 00:12:06.15\00:12:09.46 we have to find out, what are we going to stock the 00:12:09.49\00:12:12.89 V.I.P. room with. Many rooms are stocked with a lot 00:12:12.93\00:12:15.66 of things and you know what I'm talking about. 00:12:15.70\00:12:18.73 Different items of the nature, but this V.I.P. room, 00:12:18.77\00:12:21.44 the kitchen, the most important place of the house, 00:12:21.47\00:12:23.41 we're going to stock it with some simple staple items 00:12:23.44\00:12:26.61 that everybody can access, simple, cheap, cost effective, 00:12:26.64\00:12:32.58 and there is about five of them, you can probably add 00:12:32.61\00:12:35.32 six or seven, but today we are going to stick with five items, 00:12:35.35\00:12:37.89 that when you go to the store you need to pick up. 00:12:37.92\00:12:41.22 Don't leave your V.I.P. room unstocked without these items. 00:12:41.26\00:12:45.73 So there is five staple items that we are going to show you 00:12:45.76\00:12:48.13 here that every room, V.I.P. room should have. 00:12:48.16\00:12:50.43 Number one, you should have some fruits, 00:12:50.47\00:12:53.30 any kind, enjoy them, bananas, and apples, and berries, 00:12:53.57\00:12:57.47 and you name it. But fruits is good, but that's not the only 00:12:57.51\00:13:00.91 thing, you also need some whole grains, alright. 00:13:00.94\00:13:03.85 Now you notice that we didn't just say grains, we said 00:13:03.88\00:13:05.41 Whole Grains, such as brown rice, and whole wheat pasta, 00:13:05.45\00:13:09.18 and whole wheat bread, you know what I mean, they just call it 00:13:09.22\00:13:12.42 the W's, make sure everything is whole. 00:13:12.45\00:13:14.62 Then there is another key item that needs to be in every 00:13:14.66\00:13:17.66 V.I.P. room, and it is your Veggies. 00:13:17.69\00:13:21.00 You have the spinach, you have the kale, you have the carrots, 00:13:21.03\00:13:25.70 and pumpkins, some consider it fruit, whatever you consider it, 00:13:25.73\00:13:29.44 that's fine, make sure you have your veggies. 00:13:29.47\00:13:31.41 Then here's another key ingredient and you need some 00:13:31.44\00:13:34.48 Nuts, alright, nuts and seeds. You have the cashews, 00:13:34.51\00:13:38.38 and the walnuts, sunflower seeds, almonds, make sure you 00:13:38.41\00:13:42.15 have these groups going, ok. That's just the first four, 00:13:42.18\00:13:45.09 and then here's the key item here as we wrap up, 00:13:45.12\00:13:47.16 Beans, make sure you have beans in the house, lentils, and 00:13:47.19\00:13:51.73 kidney beans, and chickpeas, and pigeon peas, and you name it, 00:13:51.76\00:13:57.43 lentils and the whole works, just make sure you 00:13:57.47\00:14:00.47 have them, in the bag, in the can...we're going to look at 00:14:00.50\00:14:03.07 some of those items because people say, Nyse, 00:14:03.10\00:14:05.17 we always want to know, when you go shopping, 00:14:05.21\00:14:07.28 what do you buy? 00:14:07.31\00:14:08.64 Don't worry about me, there's a simple blueprint that's given 00:14:08.68\00:14:11.61 to all of us, and it's the fruits, and the grains, 00:14:11.65\00:14:14.35 and the nuts, and we have the veggies, and then we will look 00:14:14.38\00:14:17.29 at some of the other items, so if you want to see, let's start 00:14:17.32\00:14:19.62 with some of those. You all remember what the fruits were, 00:14:24.93\00:14:27.80 we have the bananas, the banana is good for constipation, 00:14:27.83\00:14:31.53 good for diarrhea, it's good for everything. 00:14:31.57\00:14:32.97 I know you don't want to talk about these things while we are 00:14:33.00\00:14:34.60 in the kitchen, but hey, it's good for that any way, 00:14:34.64\00:14:36.20 and the potassium and all of those items. 00:14:36.24\00:14:39.44 I remember there was a lady, she finally...unfortunately 00:14:39.47\00:14:43.61 she was sick, and she went into the hospital and the doctors 00:14:43.65\00:14:45.95 were going to give her potassium, 00:14:45.98\00:14:47.32 and she said doctor, doctor, no potassium, 00:14:47.35\00:14:49.68 give me a banana please. You have your oranges, 00:15:36.50\00:15:39.80 or these are like little tangerines... 00:15:39.83\00:15:41.30 I like these because these are really easy, oranges is just 00:15:41.34\00:15:44.27 to much time to be cutting and all of that stuff. 00:15:44.31\00:15:46.44 I just rip this open and it's a done deal, so that is good. 00:15:46.47\00:15:50.05 What are some other fruits we can... Oh my, 00:15:50.08\00:15:52.05 you know what I used to say? That what Eve ate from the tree 00:15:52.08\00:15:56.72 it was apple, I kind of beg to differ, 00:15:56.75\00:15:59.62 it may have been a mango, it's too sweet, 00:15:59.65\00:16:02.69 apples are great, but there not as good as a mango. 00:16:02.72\00:16:05.13 So I think the mango came off and let's just seek God 00:16:05.16\00:16:10.13 in all things and study the Bible and that should be 00:16:10.17\00:16:12.20 enough knowledge for us. 00:16:12.23\00:16:13.57 What are some other fruits that we should have? 00:16:13.60\00:16:15.57 Tomatoes, uh oh, I don't want no problems in here today, 00:16:15.60\00:16:18.87 but yeah, tomato... What is a fruit? 00:16:18.91\00:16:20.81 A fruit as the Bible says is something that bears a seed, 00:16:20.84\00:16:23.68 so we have the tomato, it has seed so, a.k.a. fruit, 00:16:23.71\00:16:27.08 is that alright? So we have the fruits there. 00:16:27.12\00:16:29.38 What is another fruit? Oh my, red bell peppers 00:16:29.42\00:16:33.72 as we can see here. Do you know red bell peppers 00:16:33.76\00:16:36.59 are amazing for you, when think of vitamin C, 00:16:36.62\00:16:40.63 normally we think of oranges, tangerines, and kiwi, 00:16:40.66\00:16:44.53 and stuff of that nature. Well I need you all to try 00:16:44.57\00:16:47.24 something new. Do you it is shown that red bell peppers 00:16:47.27\00:16:51.57 contain up to four times the amount of vitamin C 00:16:51.61\00:16:55.21 than our orange. Now let's call a time out, 00:16:55.24\00:16:58.51 are we saying that oranges are bad? Not at all, 00:16:58.55\00:17:00.65 oranges are fantastic. But cold and flu season come around, 00:17:00.68\00:17:03.72 I am not running and buying supplements, 00:17:03.75\00:17:05.15 I am running and buying me some red bell peppers. 00:17:05.19\00:17:08.36 Some people call them sweet peppers, whatever the name, 00:17:08.39\00:17:10.56 just eat them, they are fantastic, now you notice, 00:17:10.59\00:17:12.59 I said the red and not the green and not the orange, 00:17:12.63\00:17:14.56 and not the yellow, the pink, they got purple ones these days, 00:17:14.60\00:17:16.90 the red ones is the key items that you want to get. 00:17:16.93\00:17:20.34 And one last fruit that we have here is Avocado. 00:17:20.37\00:17:23.87 Some call it ourcotte. or saboca, you all know what I'm 00:17:23.91\00:17:29.24 talking about, the avocado. Now I know a lot of times 00:17:29.28\00:17:31.91 when you buy these avocado's, some may be ripe, 00:17:31.95\00:17:35.95 and some are not ripe or sometimes none of them are ripe, 00:17:35.98\00:17:38.82 or all of them are green, that's actually a good thing, 00:17:38.85\00:17:41.79 still buy it, because what I like to do, a lot of times 00:17:41.82\00:17:44.26 when we go to people's homes... remember how the fridge was 00:17:44.29\00:17:47.00 growing things. It's because they buy everything ripe 00:17:47.03\00:17:49.23 at the same time. Now we are not going to eat everything 00:17:49.26\00:17:52.20 in the same moment, alright, so in order to stock this 00:17:52.23\00:17:55.44 V.I.P. room, you have to plan, you just can't plan for 00:17:55.47\00:17:57.77 that day, you have to plan for the whole week. 00:17:57.81\00:17:59.77 So I buy one or two that's ripe and ready and tender to go, 00:17:59.81\00:18:02.88 and then I buy a couple that are green... 00:18:02.91\00:18:05.05 and even though I live in the city, I grow my own, 00:18:05.08\00:18:10.02 and what I mean is that I buy the green ones, 00:18:10.05\00:18:11.75 and I put them under, I take care of them, 00:18:11.79\00:18:13.46 keep them in the dark, and when the time is ready, 00:18:13.49\00:18:15.52 I grab them, so I pluck them, I don't pluck them off the tree 00:18:15.56\00:18:18.56 as they should, but I plucked them out of the cabinet 00:18:18.59\00:18:22.36 and stuff of that nature. So avocado, please buy some 00:18:22.40\00:18:24.90 ripe, buy some un- ripe, and you should be good. 00:18:24.93\00:18:28.64 Let's go to the next food group, which is grains, 00:18:28.67\00:18:31.67 this is crucial, a lot of people try to eat healthy 00:18:31.71\00:18:34.34 and enjoy a Taste of Paradise. Now Paradise does have a lot 00:18:34.38\00:18:38.61 of fruits, but also grains, and we are going to go on to 00:18:38.65\00:18:41.42 like menu planning and items of that nature. 00:18:41.45\00:18:43.39 If you only eat fruits in the morning for breakfast, 00:18:43.42\00:18:45.05 what's going to happen in an hour or two? 00:18:45.09\00:18:46.65 You're starving, but you also need to have a complete diet 00:18:46.69\00:18:50.26 and that's why we are going to look at some grains here. 00:18:50.29\00:18:52.29 So let's grab some grains and you all know what I'm 00:18:52.33\00:18:56.23 talking about here, I'll just grab them. 00:18:56.26\00:18:58.90 I'm talking about "Oats", ok, so you have the oats here, 00:18:58.93\00:19:05.04 this is "Old Fashioned Oats", you also have...Uh oh! 00:19:05.07\00:19:09.04 Oh, this one was opened, no problem, we in the kitchen, 00:19:09.08\00:19:11.81 are making a mess, have a good time, so you have the 00:19:11.85\00:19:13.75 "Quick Oats" as well. The "Quick Oats" right here is fantastic. 00:19:13.78\00:19:18.52 What else do we have? We have some other "whole grains" 00:19:18.55\00:19:21.69 which is "Whole Wheat Pasta". I know we talk about 00:19:21.72\00:19:24.99 whole grains and all of that stuff, but a lot of times we 00:19:25.03\00:19:29.40 skip, we eat "Whole Wheat Bread", we eat oats and 00:19:29.43\00:19:33.07 all of that stuff, but when it comes to pasta, 00:19:33.10\00:19:35.47 it's like we jump off the ship, you know what I mean, 00:19:35.50\00:19:37.51 and we go for the white pasta. Now that white pasta is going to 00:19:37.54\00:19:40.48 cause a little problem such as a.k.a., constipation, 00:19:40.51\00:19:43.38 so that's why we use what, whole wheat pasta. 00:19:43.41\00:19:47.35 This is fantastic, you can buy so many, and a matter of fact, 00:19:47.38\00:19:50.59 their doing a very good job now with the Whole Wheat Pasta's. 00:19:50.62\00:19:53.39 Remember back in the days when I used to be young, 00:19:53.42\00:19:55.62 I don't think you all were around back then, 00:19:55.66\00:19:57.16 well, when I used to be young and they started making this 00:19:57.19\00:19:59.66 Whole Wheat Pasta, oh man, it was a," if you don't mind", 00:19:59.69\00:20:02.56 it was a disaster. The thing was rough and you would eat it, 00:20:02.60\00:20:06.03 and you were like ma, can I get the real stuff because 00:20:06.07\00:20:08.27 this "Whole Wheat" stuff is no good. 00:20:08.30\00:20:09.80 But here's the little rule of thumb, for some reason 00:20:09.84\00:20:13.07 along the way I learned that if something went in rough, 00:20:13.11\00:20:16.24 it usually came out soft. Alright, I am sorry, excuse me. 00:20:16.28\00:20:21.95 But it's just the truth, when it goes in rough, 00:20:21.98\00:20:24.29 because of the fiber and stuff, it gets in and it keeps things 00:20:24.32\00:20:28.29 moving and pushes things out and they come out soft. 00:20:28.32\00:20:30.63 But when something goes in smooth, white bread, 00:20:30.66\00:20:33.03 white rice, white pasta, you know that it may not even 00:20:33.06\00:20:36.43 come out some time. Of course it will come out, 00:20:36.46\00:20:38.10 but it will come out rough, people are there and struggling 00:20:38.13\00:20:40.40 and praying "Lord help me", for number two you know, 00:20:40.44\00:20:43.34 when you go to the bathroom. So please, "Whole Grains", 00:20:43.37\00:20:46.07 "Whole Grains". And the last item that I have here 00:20:46.11\00:20:49.54 besides that is a "Whole Grain Rice", this is "Brown Rice" 00:20:49.58\00:20:55.18 ok, now there's a lot of rice out there that look brown, 00:20:55.22\00:20:58.49 but it is not "Whole Grain". a.k.a., par-boiled rice. 00:20:58.52\00:21:02.09 That means that they just went ahead and cooked it 00:21:02.12\00:21:03.69 a little bit for you, treated it a little bit. 00:21:03.73\00:21:05.69 But "Whole Grain Brown Rice" is a crucial staple to have 00:21:05.73\00:21:09.80 in your V.I.P. room along with the other ones. 00:21:09.83\00:21:13.20 How can you tell if your rice is a whole grain, 00:21:13.23\00:21:15.80 when you look at it closely, it should have three parts to it. 00:21:15.84\00:21:19.37 Ok you ready for the three parts? 00:21:19.41\00:21:20.84 First part, it should have some fiber on it, 00:21:20.88\00:21:24.15 so when you look at the brown rice, you see little specks 00:21:24.18\00:21:26.38 and stuff of that nature, that's a good sign, 00:21:26.41\00:21:28.72 Ok, that helps keep things moving. 00:21:28.75\00:21:30.59 Then you see at the end of it a little white spot, 00:21:30.62\00:21:33.59 that's called the germ, a.k.a wheat germ, 00:21:33.62\00:21:36.96 and so you have that there, and then you have the endosperm 00:21:36.99\00:21:40.63 which is just the white rice, the cheapest thing around. 00:21:40.66\00:21:42.90 And then we have the whole wheat bread, 00:21:42.93\00:21:44.90 now it's best to go ahead and make your own bread, 00:21:44.93\00:21:47.54 because you ever try to buy bread is the store that 00:21:47.57\00:21:50.34 was healthy? Whew, I mean they have so many ingredients 00:21:50.37\00:21:54.88 in them, you just...One whole side of the loaf has like 00:21:54.91\00:21:58.18 a million ingredients, you can't keep up with it. 00:21:58.21\00:22:00.35 The only bread that I have found if I am on the move and stuff, 00:22:00.38\00:22:03.25 is like whole wheat pita bread. They only use about four 00:22:03.28\00:22:06.15 or five, maybe six ingredients, this is a good sign of a good 00:22:06.19\00:22:09.12 bread, and so I need this to try and look for that, 00:22:09.16\00:22:12.93 and if you can't find it, there is no reason why 00:22:12.96\00:22:14.93 you should be using white bread per se, you can go ahead 00:22:14.96\00:22:17.83 and start making your own bread. 00:22:17.87\00:22:19.20 So we have the fruits, we have the grains, let's go to some 00:22:19.23\00:22:22.27 more here. We're going to move on to some nuts, 00:22:22.30\00:22:25.34 ok, what are some nuts that we should have in our V.I.P. room? 00:22:25.37\00:22:30.58 Ok, here is the V.I.P. room. We have Brazil nuts, 00:22:30.61\00:22:33.65 fantastic, I don't know if you remember a couple of shows 00:22:33.68\00:22:36.45 that we've used Brazil nuts. It's crucial to make some nice, 00:22:36.48\00:22:40.59 really healthy gravy and if somebody is looking to like, 00:22:40.62\00:22:43.36 stop, you know what I mean, smoking, 00:22:43.39\00:22:44.73 and you wanted to help them, of course we are going to 00:22:44.76\00:22:47.36 pray for them, but number two, Brazil nuts help with the 00:22:47.40\00:22:50.23 cessation, there to help them to move away from smoking. 00:22:50.27\00:22:54.04 Almonds is a crucial item to have you can make Almond Milk, 00:22:54.07\00:22:57.84 you can make Almond Cheese, you put it in your cereal, 00:22:57.87\00:23:03.21 as we've done previously, and walnuts is fantastic. 00:23:03.24\00:23:07.78 There's an old little tip there, what organ of the body is 00:23:07.82\00:23:11.29 is the walnut good for? It looks like the what? 00:23:11.32\00:23:14.79 The brain, so it's good for brain, it provides Omega's, 00:23:14.82\00:23:18.93 along with flax seed, or some call it linseed, so enjoy these, 00:23:18.96\00:23:23.10 however, in moderation. 00:23:23.13\00:23:25.87 Please, some time we people, we only want you to have a handful 00:23:25.90\00:23:30.04 of nuts. Some of us do handsful, some of us do a whole bag full, 00:23:30.07\00:23:34.41 some of us eat a whole can full, and we are wondering why we 00:23:34.44\00:23:38.25 can't balance those blessings, to much nuts, to much fats. 00:23:38.28\00:23:41.48 To much of a good thing can be a bad thing. 00:23:41.52\00:23:43.85 So we have the nuts there, and I just wanted to share a couple 00:23:43.89\00:23:48.02 of other items...If you look on your Food Pyramid and stuff, 00:23:48.06\00:23:51.86 you'll notice that it talks about the nuts pistachios, 00:23:51.89\00:23:54.70 I forgot about this one. This one is fantastic for people 00:23:54.73\00:23:57.30 who are dealing with anemia. This provides a good amount of 00:23:57.33\00:24:00.24 iron, and it's fantastic, you can buy them unsalted, 00:24:00.27\00:24:03.84 great, if not take it anyway, it's still good for you. 00:24:03.87\00:24:06.64 Then we have the olive oil there which is fantastic, 00:24:06.68\00:24:09.98 Extra Virgin, Cold Pressed, and sometimes you want to try 00:24:10.01\00:24:12.78 the light tasting one when you making deserts and 00:24:12.81\00:24:16.35 recipes when you don't want that strong olive oil 00:24:16.38\00:24:19.15 flavor, you go for the light one. 00:24:19.19\00:24:21.29 Then we found some nice healthy soy butter as well 00:24:21.32\00:24:25.36 as you see that there, this is pretty good, they are doing 00:24:25.39\00:24:28.06 a good job, but stay tuned, stay tuned, 00:24:28.10\00:24:30.80 and keep watching the program, we're going to show you how to 00:24:30.83\00:24:32.17 make your own butter, and it you don't mind, 00:24:32.20\00:24:34.67 this is "A Taste of Paradise" right? 00:24:34.70\00:24:36.84 You cannot have or go without "Coconut Milk" in your 00:24:36.87\00:24:42.81 V.I.P. room, this is crucial and we'll explain, 00:24:42.84\00:24:45.78 some people are afraid of coconut milk, I am not sure why, 00:24:45.81\00:24:48.38 it's actually good for you. If you get stranded on an island 00:24:48.42\00:24:51.39 you can live off of coconut, the water, for who knows how long, 00:24:51.42\00:24:54.72 and then by the mercies of God. 00:24:54.76\00:24:56.39 So Coconut Milk, have one around but please moderation, 00:24:56.42\00:25:00.16 sometimes people take this whole thing and they are just 00:25:00.20\00:25:02.93 pouring it in everything. 00:25:02.96\00:25:04.30 We are going to use some recipe's with this, 00:25:04.33\00:25:05.67 so make sure you stock your V.I.P. room. 00:25:05.70\00:25:07.47 But let's move on to a couple of last items here... 00:25:07.50\00:25:10.37 Ohhh! I just remembered Quinoa, Quinoa, you all know Quinoa, 00:25:10.41\00:25:14.21 this is fantastic good for high in protein... 00:25:14.24\00:25:17.11 So we have our fruits here, we have our grains, 00:25:17.15\00:25:20.28 we have our nuts, and now we are going to go to one 00:25:20.32\00:25:23.42 or two last items in my bag... I bought so much food, 00:25:23.45\00:25:26.52 I could barely keep up with it, Beans, make sure you have 00:25:26.55\00:25:31.43 the beans.
