Are you telling me 00:00:42.57\00:00:44.64 you're going to make a collard green wrap out of 00:00:44.67\00:00:46.94 a raw collard green? Yes! 00:00:46.98\00:00:49.44 Aren't those tough? 00:00:49.48\00:00:50.81 Yes they are tough, but you have to do a couple 00:00:50.85\00:00:54.32 of things with them before you eat them this way. 00:00:54.35\00:00:58.05 So let's begin... 00:00:58.09\00:01:00.69 We'll start out with a collard green leaf and we take the 00:01:00.72\00:01:06.70 stem off and then we shred the spine of the stem a little bit. 00:01:06.73\00:01:15.80 And why are we taking off the spine? 00:01:15.84\00:01:17.67 Because the spine is really woody and it's tough. 00:01:17.71\00:01:22.51 So we take the spine off so it will be more edible. 00:01:22.54\00:01:26.92 And then we break the spine, just break it like this. 00:01:26.95\00:01:32.89 Now to make it more... Tender? Yes, it's a Cuisinart. 00:03:24.87\00:03:26.80 This is one of my favorite tools to use. 00:03:26.84\00:03:32.74 And what about these walnuts, are these raw? 00:03:32.77\00:03:35.48 Yes these are raw and they have been soaked overnight. 00:03:35.51\00:03:38.21 And what happens is that when you eat nuts that have not been 00:03:38.25\00:03:43.45 soaked overnight, they have enzyme inhibitors. 00:03:43.49\00:03:46.39 So it makes it hard to digest. 00:03:46.42\00:03:48.52 So you want to soak them overnight and rinse them. Yes 00:03:48.56\00:03:52.33 So we begin with 1-1/2 cups of walnuts, 00:03:52.36\00:03:58.33 and then we have liquid aminos 00:03:58.37\00:04:00.94 which is like a soy sauce substitute. 00:04:00.97\00:04:05.14 And what is that? This is cayenne. Cayenne. Um hm. 00:04:05.17\00:04:08.11 Coriander, and this is cumin. 00:04:09.11\00:04:14.38 And then we process it. 00:04:14.42\00:04:18.25 And how long should we process? 00:04:18.29\00:04:19.92 Oh, until it starts looking real kind of grainy. 00:04:19.95\00:04:25.99 So we're finished processing it. 00:04:33.94\00:04:36.30 Doesn't it look like meat? 00:04:36.91\00:04:43.14 It smells so good! 00:04:43.18\00:04:48.98 So, can you get the things ready for me for the next recipe? 00:04:49.88\00:04:53.59 Well and we're going to clear off this station. 00:04:53.62\00:04:57.03 So the next recipe that we're going to do is the: 00:05:02.86\00:05:05.73 Macadamia almond cheese. 00:05:05.77\00:05:08.17 So let's begin! 00:05:30.13\00:05:31.69 So Brenda, hand me the walnuts. 00:05:31.73\00:05:34.73 These walnuts have been soaked overnight, 00:05:34.76\00:05:37.73 and the benefits of soaking nuts again, overnight, 00:05:37.77\00:05:41.80 is because they have enzyme inhibitors, 00:05:41.84\00:05:44.74 and to make them more digestible, you want to soak 00:05:44.77\00:05:48.01 them overnight and rinse them. 00:05:48.04\00:05:50.01 So we have raw almonds that have been soaked overnight, 00:05:50.05\00:05:54.12 and these are macadamia nuts and also soaking them 00:05:54.15\00:05:59.12 makes the cheese a little more creamier. 00:05:59.15\00:06:05.06 We have nutritional yeast, lemon juice, 00:06:05.09\00:06:10.97 some sea salt and some onions chopped, 00:06:11.00\00:06:21.71 and 2 cloves of garlic, now let's process this. 00:06:21.74\00:06:28.42 Oh, I forgot the water, here you go. 00:06:28.45\00:06:35.89 Evita, what was the purpose of the yeast flakes again? 00:06:35.92\00:06:38.56 Yeast flakes makes the cheese cheesier, cheesy flavor, 00:06:38.59\00:06:44.17 and also it's really high in B vitamins as well. 00:06:44.20\00:06:47.14 And this is going to be really hard to blend, 00:06:47.17\00:06:52.47 so we're going to have to use the damper. 00:06:52.51\00:06:58.51 Now this is our cheese. 00:07:27.24\00:07:31.75 Smells cheesy! I'll be happy to. 00:08:53.63\00:08:55.63 Okay Brenda, I'll need the spatula. 00:08:55.66\00:08:58.50 Okay, what I'm going to do is, I'm going to combine 00:08:58.53\00:09:08.14 the avocado, the onions and the tomatoes. 00:09:08.18\00:09:16.48 Let me just ask you, Evita, do I need to keep the 00:09:16.52\00:09:18.39 seeds from the jalapeno pepper? 00:09:18.42\00:09:20.46 Well you can if people don't like it really hot, 00:09:20.49\00:09:23.49 you could take the seeds out, but I like it a little spicy. 00:09:23.53\00:09:26.43 So I keep the seeds in. 00:09:26.46\00:09:30.27 So we have a collard green wrap that has a collard green that 00:09:30.30\00:09:34.24 has been marinated overnight and we start off with 00:09:34.27\00:09:37.81 the macadamia nut cheese. 00:09:37.84\00:09:39.77 And we spread it on the collard green. 00:09:39.81\00:09:43.65 And does it matter which side you spread the cheese on? 00:09:45.51\00:09:47.82 Well I do it on the back side. 00:09:47.85\00:09:49.68 It makes it easier to wrap. 00:09:49.72\00:09:55.36 Then you take a little bit of the taco meat, 00:09:55.39\00:09:59.19 and put it in there. 00:09:59.23\00:10:01.63 And are you finished with that collard green? 00:11:43.30\00:11:44.73 There is this big craze going on right now; 00:11:44.77\00:11:47.17 everybody is trying to detoxify. 00:11:47.20\00:11:49.34 They're trying to clean here and clean there, 00:11:49.37\00:11:51.84 and I'm not talking about their houses which would be nice, 00:11:51.87\00:11:54.88 but I'm talking about their bodies. 00:11:54.91\00:11:56.64 They're putting stuff in, stuff is coming out. 00:11:56.68\00:11:59.35 They're scrubbing here, stuff is going there. 00:11:59.38\00:12:01.65 And it's just a mess, and everybody wants to feel 00:12:01.68\00:12:04.39 fresh and clean. 00:12:04.42\00:12:05.75 So how can we do that? 00:12:05.79\00:12:07.42 Today, we're going to share with you a couple of little 00:12:07.46\00:12:09.02 tips that you will find a blessing. 00:12:09.06\00:12:11.69 A lot of people, actually this program is back 00:12:11.73\00:12:13.90 by popular demand because everybody wants to know 00:12:13.93\00:12:16.80 how to clean the system! 00:12:16.83\00:12:18.70 Everybody is taking this pill and that pill; 00:12:18.73\00:12:21.14 we're using this machine and that machine, 00:12:21.17\00:12:23.20 and scrubbing here... and nothing seems to work. 00:12:23.24\00:12:26.68 All they want to do is clean out, 00:12:26.71\00:12:28.04 so the question is today... 00:12:28.08\00:12:29.71 What are we trying to clean out? 00:12:29.74\00:12:31.41 Not the house, not the car, but they're trying to 00:12:31.45\00:12:33.28 clean out their body. 00:12:33.31\00:12:34.65 Many people always shared with me that, "Hey, I've been 00:12:34.68\00:12:37.65 eating this way for so long and I want to live a 00:12:37.69\00:12:40.92 new lifestyle, I want to appreciate the 00:12:40.96\00:12:43.32 simple food; I want to receive 00:12:43.36\00:12:45.16 something better, but I need to clean the 00:12:45.19\00:12:47.63 body out first." 00:12:47.66\00:12:49.00 And, I mean, they may be on to something, 00:12:49.03\00:12:51.17 and it's true because when you make a new start on life, 00:12:51.20\00:12:53.47 you want to kind of wash away the things from the past. 00:12:53.50\00:12:55.60 That's the same message we all know; 00:12:55.64\00:12:57.31 clean the things away from the past and then move forward. 00:12:57.34\00:13:00.38 But, however, do we really need to do some of these 00:13:00.41\00:13:03.18 extreme things to clean out the body? 00:13:03.21\00:13:05.35 Or, can we do it naturally? 00:13:05.38\00:13:06.95 Naturally and almost at no cost. 00:13:06.98\00:13:09.38 That's what we're going to learn today 00:13:09.42\00:13:10.75 in "So Fresh and So Clean" 00:13:10.79\00:13:13.56 But the issue is: "What are we doing?" 00:13:13.59\00:13:16.99 A lot of times, we're using many strong pills 00:13:17.03\00:13:20.93 or maybe machines or maybe procedures. 00:13:20.96\00:13:23.70 Actually one of our clients, some time ago, 00:13:23.73\00:13:25.97 shared with me she used to do this cleanse. 00:13:26.00\00:13:28.07 As-a-matter-of-fact, she used to do it once a month. 00:13:28.10\00:13:29.80 She got so addicted to it, she started doing it 00:13:29.84\00:13:31.77 twice a month and she said, "One day I started to feel 00:13:31.81\00:13:34.71 very faint and very weak and tired and I didn't know 00:13:34.74\00:13:37.78 what to do," and she said, "my head was even spinning." 00:13:37.81\00:13:40.72 And what we found out when they ran her to the 00:13:40.75\00:13:42.95 emergency room was that she cleansed so much 00:13:42.98\00:13:46.15 she was actually causing another problem. 00:13:46.19\00:13:47.92 It was her electrolytes... they became unbalanced 00:13:47.96\00:13:50.76 or she had an electrolyte imbalance and as a result, 00:13:50.79\00:13:54.03 she was causing other problems. 00:13:54.06\00:13:56.00 How could this happen? 00:13:56.03\00:13:57.37 A lot of the cleanses that we do are actually removing 00:13:57.40\00:14:00.57 a lot of the things that are actually necessary for us. 00:14:00.60\00:14:04.31 So, what do we need to do to avoid the removal 00:14:04.34\00:14:08.34 of the items that are necessary for us? 00:14:08.38\00:14:10.25 We just have to do things the 00:14:10.28\00:14:11.61 way the Lord instructed us to do it. 00:14:11.65\00:14:13.72 And I have a very new, simple tip... 00:14:13.75\00:14:16.99 As-a-matter-of-fact, I'm thinking twice about sharing it 00:14:17.02\00:14:19.99 with you all because it's going to be 00:14:20.02\00:14:21.36 in one of my upcoming books. 00:14:21.39\00:14:23.19 So if I tell you this secret remedy on how to 00:14:23.22\00:14:26.49 detoxify the body, I know some of you all are going 00:14:26.53\00:14:28.50 to probably take it and make your own book out of it. 00:14:28.53\00:14:30.43 But no problem, it didn't come from me, it came from the Lord, 00:14:30.47\00:14:33.03 so you can use it as much as you want. 00:14:33.07\00:14:34.90 Get your pens, get your papers, you're going to write this down. 00:14:34.94\00:14:37.57 This is one-step in cleaning out the body - are you ready? 00:15:11.64\00:15:13.11 I know, I'm sorry I didn't come with a new secret herb 00:15:13.14\00:15:16.81 that will clean the body or do this medicine or do this or that 00:15:16.85\00:15:21.58 and this will clean out the body, it's that simple. 00:15:21.62\00:15:23.65 If we don't put in the things we want to clean out, 00:15:23.69\00:15:26.29 many people say, "Well what could it be?" 00:15:26.32\00:15:28.89 They could say, "Maybe it's cheese or sometimes, 00:15:28.92\00:15:30.83 I need to get the chicken out." 00:15:30.86\00:15:32.19 Or they tell me, "The beef stays in the system too long, 00:15:32.23\00:15:34.20 and I need to wash those out." 00:15:34.23\00:15:35.56 Well here's the rule, "Just don't eat it anymore." 00:15:35.60\00:15:38.37 And then the problem sooner or later will go away 00:15:38.40\00:15:41.37 when we use the natural things that God has given us. 00:15:41.40\00:15:43.64 It's as simple as that. 00:15:43.67\00:15:45.07 I know water is good and exercise is good. 00:15:45.11\00:15:47.38 You all are already doing that, 00:15:47.41\00:15:48.74 you don't need to hear that anymore. 00:15:48.78\00:15:50.11 You see, the thing is, if I give a quick shortcut, 00:15:50.15\00:15:52.01 and take this pill or this herb, then a lot of times, 00:15:52.05\00:15:54.88 even myself - I was guilty of it because I used to 00:15:54.92\00:15:57.15 do all these cleanses and stuff like that... 00:15:57.19\00:15:59.19 I would go and eat all the things that I knew 00:15:59.22\00:16:01.79 was not good for me, but because I knew I had 00:16:01.82\00:16:03.83 that special herb or that special pill back at home, 00:16:03.86\00:16:06.70 I would eat all the stuff, eat it all up, 00:16:06.73\00:16:09.10 and then I would come home and I would go... 00:16:09.13\00:16:10.87 and then you know what happened... 00:16:10.90\00:16:12.23 You have to run to the restroom, and #2 time, 00:16:12.27\00:16:14.27 I don't think I need to explain that anymore. 00:16:14.30\00:16:15.90 You all understand what I'm talking about, 00:16:15.94\00:16:17.27 and so as a result, I found a shortcut and I didn't 00:16:17.31\00:16:21.21 solve the problem because I kept going back 00:16:21.24\00:16:23.31 and eating the same things that wasn't good for me. 00:16:23.35\00:16:25.35 So let's solve the problem and just don't eat it to begin with. 00:16:25.38\00:16:28.32 And, what we can do... if there are some things 00:16:28.35\00:16:30.89 that need to be cleaned out, let's do it naturally 00:16:30.92\00:16:33.19 the way the Lord wants us to. 00:16:33.22\00:16:34.82 There are certain foods and veggies that the Lord 00:16:34.86\00:16:37.79 has given us that will start to go in the system 00:16:37.83\00:16:41.26 remove the things that shouldn't be there, 00:16:41.30\00:16:43.47 but what it will do, it will bypass the good things 00:16:43.50\00:16:46.67 that God has put in there. 00:16:46.70\00:16:48.04 I had a chance to work with one client, 00:16:48.07\00:16:49.54 she says, "Oh, I did this super cleanse and in the first week, 00:16:49.57\00:16:53.44 you know, I lost 5 pounds." 00:16:53.48\00:16:55.14 And I said, "Well, that's probably true... why? 00:16:55.18\00:16:57.71 Because when we do these heavy cleanses, 00:16:57.75\00:16:59.98 we also remove some of the normal flora bacteria 00:17:00.02\00:17:03.69 that God put in there to protect us, 00:17:03.72\00:17:05.95 and He puts almost 5 to 6 to 7 pounds of it." 00:17:05.99\00:17:08.82 So I said, "Oh man, I'm so sorry." 00:17:08.86\00:17:10.76 And I said "What did you have to do after you did the cleanse?" 00:17:10.79\00:17:13.43 She said, "I had to take some bacteria." 00:17:13.46\00:17:14.96 Well the reason why she had to eat those bacteria, 00:17:15.00\00:17:17.87 the acidophilus, and all of these other items, 00:17:17.90\00:17:21.24 is because she took it out to begin with. 00:17:21.27\00:17:24.41 Man can't improve upon God, 00:17:24.44\00:17:25.77 so whatever he makes will never be the same. 00:17:25.81\00:17:27.64 So let's leave what God has put in there and let's go 00:17:27.68\00:17:30.68 ahead and let's use some of the 00:17:30.71\00:17:32.15 bias cleanses that God has given us. 00:17:32.18\00:17:34.62 So today, by popular demand, we are going to do 00:17:34.65\00:17:37.42 my favorite recipe and it's called the 00:17:37.45\00:17:39.69 "tropical detoxifying fruit salad." 00:17:39.72\00:17:43.36 And it's really simple, all you need is: 00:17:43.39\00:17:45.43 I think everybody has that in their home already... 00:17:51.97\00:17:54.27 If not, just run to the local store. 00:17:54.30\00:17:56.30 In our other recipes that we used to do, 00:17:56.34\00:17:57.91 we used to use papaya because papaya is also good 00:17:57.94\00:18:00.21 for the digestive system. 00:18:00.24\00:18:01.64 We used to use other items, not only that, 00:18:01.68\00:18:05.88 we used to use apples - you remember that old saying... 00:18:05.91\00:18:07.75 "An apple a day will keep the doctor away," 00:18:07.78\00:18:09.72 well, check this out... "An apple a day will keep you 00:18:09.75\00:18:13.05 going and getting that stuff away," if you know what I mean. 00:18:13.09\00:18:16.12 So go ahead and enjoy the apple and enjoy all those items, 00:18:16.16\00:18:18.96 but we're just going to use some special fruits 00:18:18.99\00:18:21.16 that God has given us that will 00:18:21.20\00:18:22.76 take care of these items naturally. 00:18:22.80\00:18:24.83 And so all you need is one nice pineapple, 00:18:24.87\00:18:28.17 and this time I did a better job of picking it. 00:18:28.20\00:18:30.31 It's nice and ready to go. 00:18:30.34\00:18:31.87 I already went ahead and demoed one, 00:18:31.91\00:18:34.61 but I'm going to show you how to do it because, 00:18:34.64\00:18:36.14 me, I don't like dishes, all right?
