Yes, it's very nutrient dense. 00:03:23.59\00:03:27.04 Oh Brenda, what are we going to make next? 00:03:27.07\00:03:29.23 We are going to be making Avocado Kale Salad, 00:03:29.26\00:03:32.02 So let's go ahead and get started. 00:03:52.51\00:03:54.76 We will be using green leafy kale today. 00:03:54.79\00:04:00.31 Brenda, most people think that kale is garnish. 00:04:05.17\00:04:07.26 Kale is a garnish but kale is also very delicious 00:04:07.29\00:04:11.72 to eat. So what we are doing now 00:04:11.75\00:04:14.61 is we are de-stemming the kale, and we do this so it is easy 00:04:14.64\00:04:25.65 for us to chop. I'll take that for you. Thank you! 00:04:25.68\00:04:32.55 And what you do is grab you a bunch like this, 00:04:32.58\00:04:37.84 then you begin to cut it. We are kind of slicing it 00:04:37.87\00:04:46.67 very thin. Wow, that smells good. Yes it is very good. 00:04:46.70\00:04:57.64 What are some of the benefits of kale Brenda? 00:04:57.67\00:05:05.23 Well kale is high in vitamin A, vitamin K, vitamin C, 00:05:05.26\00:05:10.10 potassium, and also Folic Acid. 00:05:10.13\00:05:13.97 This is a real simple dish, it doesn't even need equipment 00:05:19.30\00:05:22.50 to make. Let's do it like that. I'll take that out of your way. 00:05:22.53\00:05:31.35 Thank you! Ok, so to start we will need our two tablespoons of 00:05:31.38\00:05:36.27 Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and then we have our Sea Salt, 00:05:36.30\00:05:44.32 and then what we do is we massage the kale. 00:05:44.35\00:05:52.96 Why do you massage the kale? 00:05:52.99\00:05:57.42 We massage the kale so that it breaks it down so that 00:05:57.45\00:06:00.60 it is easy to digest. Kale is very hard to digest 00:06:00.63\00:06:04.13 if it is not broken down like this. 00:06:04.16\00:06:08.00 A lot of people don't know that they can eat kale raw... 00:06:11.30\00:06:14.36 You know I've seen many recipes and it's been cooked. 00:06:14.39\00:06:18.60 Yes, this massaging also gives it the appearance 00:06:18.63\00:06:21.27 of being cooked. So you do this for about a minute or so. 00:06:21.30\00:06:26.63 Really getting in there and working it. 00:06:28.87\00:06:31.56 Well, it's going down already. Yes, we started out with a 00:06:32.27\00:06:35.51 pretty good size bowl of it and it's really breaking down. 00:06:35.54\00:06:39.12 Can kind of getting messy. OK! 00:06:42.72\00:06:52.62 I think that gives it pretty good. Ok, so we are going to 00:06:52.65\00:06:57.54 add...We're going to add some lemon juice... 00:06:57.57\00:07:00.02 Thank you! Massage it just a little bit more, 00:07:04.32\00:07:08.17 can you give me a clove of garlic? Oh ok! 00:07:10.25\00:07:13.47 What do you want me to do with it? 00:07:13.50\00:07:16.66 Using our garlic press, we are going to press that right on in. 00:07:16.69\00:07:22.15 Mmmm! The garlic really smells good. 00:07:30.02\00:07:32.02 I think the garlic kind of gives it an extra kick. 00:07:32.05\00:07:35.40 What's the next ingredient? Let's dump in some of the 00:07:35.43\00:07:45.17 green onions. 00:07:45.20\00:07:47.84 I'm getting these cherry tomatoes chopped for you 00:07:47.87\00:08:00.84 while you are doing that. Um-humm! 00:08:00.87\00:08:03.41 I love cherry tomatoes because they are so sweet. 00:08:03.44\00:08:11.00 Ok! Then we are going to add in our avocado, 00:08:11.03\00:08:17.28 half of avocado, and this is when it really gets gooey. 00:08:17.31\00:08:23.04 Laughter! Mmmm! Smells so good! 00:08:23.07\00:08:30.90 Still massaging! And you actually don't have to massage 00:08:36.16\00:08:43.85 all of the kale in completely into the kale...The avocado! 00:08:43.88\00:08:47.93 The avocado? Oh yeah! 00:08:47.96\00:08:49.30 You can leave a few chunks in there. 00:08:52.77\00:08:55.49 Ok! Then last, we are going to add in our cherry tomatoes, 00:08:55.52\00:09:03.32 just for decoration. 00:09:03.35\00:09:05.66 Just kind of mix that around like so. You know what, 00:09:10.83\00:09:16.72 this is a good dish to bring to a picnic. Yes, you will "WOW" 00:09:16.75\00:09:20.77 people with this dish. Remember the first time we went 00:09:20.80\00:09:23.84 to that raw food meet over in the... and we brought this 00:09:23.87\00:09:27.40 dish, everybody loved it. This is the dish that really 00:09:27.43\00:09:31.10 got you and I going raw. Yes it did! 00:09:31.13\00:09:33.79 Ok! And there you have it. Avocado Kale Salad. 00:09:33.82\00:09:38.99 Welcome to the V.I.P. room! The most important room there is. 00:09:44.76\00:09:49.49 The question is, do you know what the V.I.P. room is? 00:09:49.52\00:09:52.40 Well, many people think of the V.I.P. room, they think of 00:09:52.43\00:09:56.15 maybe a special place in a certain location where 00:09:56.18\00:10:00.23 only the "Elite" goes to. They may think of sometimes 00:10:00.26\00:10:03.73 people think of a club, or maybe a country club. 00:10:03.76\00:10:06.92 There is always a V.I.P. section... Matter of fact 00:10:06.95\00:10:09.40 even when you go to the airport, there is a little 00:10:09.43\00:10:10.89 V.I.P. room for those who fly all the time and items like that 00:10:10.92\00:10:14.60 and so, that is not what I am talking about here today. 00:10:14.63\00:10:17.91 I am talking about the V.I.P. room of your home. 00:10:17.94\00:10:21.44 So if I ask you what is the V.I.P. room, many people will 00:10:21.47\00:10:24.40 ask...or answer and they will say, well maybe it's the 00:10:24.43\00:10:27.36 bedroom, you know, where the family is made. 00:10:27.39\00:10:29.71 And that's very important, but that is not what I want 00:10:29.74\00:10:31.75 to talk about. Some people also think of the bathroom, 00:10:31.78\00:10:34.90 and it is very true, if you don't use the bathroom, 00:10:34.93\00:10:37.49 you are going to be in big trouble. 00:10:37.52\00:10:38.65 But that still is not the V.I.P. room. The V.I.P. room 00:10:38.68\00:10:42.68 is the kitchen, you use it you live, you don't, 00:10:42.71\00:10:47.16 some people say, you may die. And so we want to focus on that 00:10:47.19\00:10:51.47 today, not just because it is all about cooking 00:10:51.51\00:10:54.34 and different items like that, but a lot of relationships are 00:10:54.37\00:10:56.88 built in the kitchen, which I believe is the V.I.P. room. 00:10:56.91\00:11:00.13 You spend time with the family, you eat together... 00:11:00.16\00:11:03.77 There is an old saying, those who pray together, 00:11:03.80\00:11:05.38 stay together, but I also believe, those who eat together 00:11:05.41\00:11:07.98 stay together. And you do fun things in there. 00:11:08.01\00:11:11.26 Another reason I believe why it's the V.I.P. room, 00:11:11.29\00:11:13.67 if you don't use it you are going to be in big trouble. 00:11:13.70\00:11:16.09 A lot of people that don't use that V.I.P. section, 00:11:16.12\00:11:18.54 which is the kitchen and they go out and have fast food... 00:11:18.57\00:11:21.91 I remember somebody telling me, if you eat fast food, 00:11:21.94\00:11:24.25 you live a fast life. You are here today... 00:11:24.28\00:11:26.57 Remember the old saying, Gone tomorrow! 00:11:26.60\00:11:28.26 I would like to change that, Gone Tonight! 00:11:28.29\00:11:30.60 So be careful that we don't get into that other section. 00:11:30.63\00:11:35.02 Well, let's start to use the kitchen. 00:11:35.05\00:11:37.15 I remember a long time ago when I used to be young, 00:11:37.18\00:11:39.45 I don't think you all were around back then, 00:11:39.48\00:11:41.24 I learned a lot of things in the kitchen. 00:11:41.27\00:11:44.58 We learned how to cook even granola, we learned how to make 00:11:44.61\00:11:48.04 some pasta, we learned how to make rice and all of that 00:11:48.07\00:11:51.12 good stuff. Of course we made a mess, we were children, 00:11:51.15\00:11:54.77 but actually it was the best memories. Why, because now 00:11:54.80\00:11:58.06 I have the opportunity to cook and I learned it when 00:11:58.09\00:12:00.57 I was hanging out in that room. 00:12:00.60\00:12:02.00 Matter of fact, one of my friends was just telling me here 00:12:02.03\00:12:05.59 why is the kitchen also very important? 00:12:05.62\00:12:07.33 Because it will save you some money. You eat out... 00:12:07.36\00:12:11.21 Matter of fact, one of my good friends was talking about 00:12:11.24\00:12:14.70 the other day...He is always in debt...Oh I don't have 00:12:14.73\00:12:17.42 money this, and I'm always broke and the man 00:12:17.45\00:12:20.02 works almost 60- 70 hours a week. Why is he always broke? 00:12:20.05\00:12:24.79 And so we started to look at some of the things that he was 00:12:24.82\00:12:27.38 doing...The first thing is I asked him where do you eat 00:12:27.41\00:12:30.11 breakfast? He says, I pick it up at the local shop. 00:12:30.14\00:12:32.56 Where do you eat lunch? I pick it up here. 00:12:32.59\00:12:34.71 And where do you eat dinner? Oh, I go out there. 00:12:34.74\00:12:36.90 Right there...Let's do a little calculation if you don't mind. 00:12:36.93\00:12:40.22 The average meal, let's say lunch, is about seven 00:12:40.25\00:12:43.74 or eight dollars, I know this big promotion now about the 00:12:43.77\00:12:47.71 five footers and the five dollars, and get everything 00:12:47.74\00:12:50.96 for five, but watch this. Let's just say it's just five. 00:12:50.99\00:12:53.44 If I eat out...Let's say I work five days a week, and I spend 00:12:53.47\00:12:57.18 five dollars a day, and I know you all just don't spend 00:12:57.21\00:13:00.39 five dollars a day, cause when I used to eat out 00:13:00.42\00:13:02.46 I would get that meal, and then I would go ahead and add 00:13:02.49\00:13:04.92 something on to that. Maybe a cookie, or a little bag of 00:13:04.95\00:13:08.15 chips, or you remember the old thing the super size it 00:13:08.18\00:13:10.69 and all that good stuff... Let's just stick to five though, 00:13:10.72\00:13:14.30 Five time five is 35, no 25, and so you add that up 00:13:14.33\00:13:20.92 and you go how many weeks in a month? Is four weeks in 00:13:20.95\00:13:24.56 a month, so let's go 25 by four, that's $100 right there 00:13:24.59\00:13:29.08 and you go ahead and multiply that over how long? 00:13:29.11\00:13:32.45 Twelve months in one year, and that's what, $1,200, 00:13:32.48\00:13:36.40 and that was just on lunch, and I know we just don't 00:13:36.43\00:13:40.84 spend five. We're not talking about sometimes when we eat out, 00:13:40.87\00:13:43.67 with breakfast, or even dinner, and all those items, so you 00:13:43.70\00:13:46.93 can take that and multiply that is 3,600, 4,500. 00:13:46.96\00:13:51.02 Some of us, even myself, I used to spend $5.00 a day 00:13:51.05\00:13:54.46 getting that special... you know that little drink that you 00:13:54.49\00:13:57.48 get you know, with all the extra whipped cream on top, 00:13:57.51\00:14:00.28 Thank the Lord, I don't do that any more. 00:14:00.31\00:14:02.03 But we spend so much money because we are not using 00:14:02.06\00:14:05.25 the V.I.P. room, so let's get back home. 00:14:05.28\00:14:08.18 Let's spend some time, and I know a lot of people say, OH 00:14:08.21\00:14:11.55 I don't have time to be cooking and time to do this, but 00:14:11.58\00:14:14.59 watch this! If you don't take the time out now, 00:14:14.62\00:14:17.40 you will have to take the time out later. 00:14:17.43\00:14:20.37 Unfortunately later, is when we are sick. 00:14:20.40\00:14:24.18 Unfortunately later is when somebody else has to take 00:14:24.21\00:14:27.24 the time to take care of us. So let's start making some time 00:14:27.27\00:14:30.53 in our schedules, in our lives, to use that kitchen. 00:14:30.56\00:14:34.41 Matter of fact, I was just reading a report, 00:14:34.44\00:14:36.46 everybody's spending thousands and thousands of dollars 00:14:36.49\00:14:39.16 on upgrades to their kitchen, but nobody is using the kitchen. 00:14:39.19\00:14:42.62 Matter of fact, don't even upgrade the kitchen if you 00:14:42.65\00:14:45.24 are not going to use it. Go ahead and use that money for 00:14:45.27\00:14:47.63 something else, but if you are going to spend the money on 00:14:47.66\00:14:49.09 the kitchen, then go ahead and put it to use. 00:14:49.12\00:14:51.57 So today we want to focus on that and we want to focus 00:14:51.60\00:14:55.62 on one meal that we usually do around the kitchen, 00:14:55.65\00:14:59.56 and one meal that we focus on around the family. 00:14:59.59\00:15:03.26 And we do it for holidays, we do it for special occasions, 00:15:03.29\00:15:07.53 and stuff like that, but everybody always says Ahh! 00:15:07.56\00:15:10.10 that recipe is usually not the best because it has a lot of 00:15:10.13\00:15:13.67 fat and stuff like that, and you all know what I am 00:15:13.70\00:15:16.18 talking about. It's the stuff with the little stringy items 00:15:16.21\00:15:19.14 that you have to boil it and do all of that stuff. 00:15:19.17\00:15:21.69 Yes! and you put all this cheese on it, I'm talking about 00:15:21.72\00:15:24.74 the Mac and Cheese Pie. Matter of fact, when you go ahead and cook it 00:16:58.26\00:17:01.95 you need to just cook it just until it's tender, 00:17:01.98\00:17:04.26 because we are going to go ahead and bake it a little bit. 00:17:04.29\00:17:06.28 So if you cook it until it is like to soft and stuff, like a 00:17:06.31\00:17:08.64 how you normally have it and then you bake it again, 00:17:08.67\00:17:11.18 instead of having macaroni and cheese pie, 00:17:11.21\00:17:13.02 you would have like macaroni and cheese mush, 00:17:13.05\00:17:14.93 or something of that nature. 00:17:14.96\00:17:16.23 But you all already know that so no worries about that, 00:17:16.26\00:17:18.65 and because of time, we went ahead and prepared it for you, 00:17:18.68\00:17:21.31 so I have my tender macaroni... whole wheat macaroni. 00:17:21.34\00:17:26.88 After it's cooked, you just go ahead and drain that out 00:17:26.91\00:17:30.06 real quick and so this is the little excess... 00:17:30.09\00:17:32.39 and that's the cool thing about macaroni, if you make more than 00:17:32.42\00:17:34.86 enough, you can make a salad out of it, you can do different 00:17:34.89\00:17:38.06 things, so that is the excess here. We already have... 00:17:38.09\00:17:40.75 What you need is a casserole dish, and this casserole dish... 00:17:40.78\00:17:44.67 preferably clear, I like the Pyrex ones...Why, 00:17:44.70\00:17:48.02 because one of the first steps in digestion, 00:17:48.05\00:17:50.91 it has to be visual, ok. And I am going to show you 00:17:50.94\00:17:54.09 the finished product here in a little while 00:17:54.12\00:17:55.47 so go ahead and put it in one of those items. 00:17:55.50\00:17:58.44 You take a regular blender or whatever you have... 00:17:58.48\00:18:00.70 you get that going. I have my two cups of raw cashews... 00:18:00.73\00:18:05.84 A lot of times you can rinse it...man if you see where these 00:18:05.87\00:18:08.16 things are grown and how people harvest them... 00:18:08.19\00:18:09.90 People walking all over it with their feet and stuff, 00:18:09.93\00:18:12.08 you'd be washing your stuff from now on. 00:18:12.11\00:18:14.33 But you go ahead, you add that, two cups, really simple, 00:18:14.36\00:18:19.56 then we are going to go ahead and add the rest of the other 00:18:19.59\00:18:22.34 ingredients. We have the salt, this is preferably sea salt ok. 00:18:22.37\00:18:27.03 People don't catch a heart attack, I know this quite a bit 00:18:27.07\00:18:29.68 but I'm going to explain because nobody's eating the whole 00:18:29.71\00:18:31.96 macaroni and cheese pie at the same time. 00:18:31.99\00:18:34.32 So a little salt is not going to cause any problem, 00:18:34.35\00:18:36.49 then we have some garlic powder, we have onion powder as well, 00:18:36.52\00:18:42.13 and here's the cool thing about it... 00:18:42.16\00:18:44.03 we're just doing this because we have to do it on TV, 00:18:44.06\00:18:46.62 but if you are at home and you don't have 00:18:46.65\00:18:48.42 onion or garlic powder...Where did onion powder come from? 00:18:48.45\00:18:50.60 It came from the onion, take a piece of onion, drop that 00:18:50.63\00:18:52.75 in there, the garlic powder, just take the garlic or two... 00:18:52.78\00:18:55.39 just take it easy, not too many because you have to talk 00:18:55.42\00:18:57.97 to people afterwards and so we don't want a riot 00:18:58.00\00:19:01.10 in the place because of our breath... 00:19:01.13\00:19:02.72 and so you can just drop the fresh garlic in there actually 00:19:02.75\00:19:05.58 I will tell you this quietly, I think that's even better. 00:19:05.61\00:19:08.06 So go ahead and do that... Lemon juice, we'll pour the 00:19:08.09\00:19:11.53 lemon juice in there, really simple, and 00:19:11.56\00:19:13.79 nutritional yeast flakes... People you get your vitamins 00:19:13.82\00:19:17.71 especially the B12 from that, and you can do it before 00:19:17.74\00:19:21.31 or after, then you add the water. 00:19:21.34\00:19:22.82 If you noticed it said three cups of water divided 00:19:22.85\00:19:25.50 and it depends on the blender you have, ok. So you can 00:19:25.53\00:19:29.59 pour it there...If you pour to much water, you may have 00:19:29.62\00:19:33.32 a problem depending on your blender of grinding up the nuts 00:19:33.35\00:19:36.19 and instead of having macaroni and cheese pie, you have 00:19:36.22\00:19:37.69 macaroni & cheese cashew pie crunch, or something of that 00:19:37.72\00:19:41.21 nature...So you want to go ahead and put in less water so 00:19:41.24\00:19:44.18 it could blend properly, and then you have your red 00:19:44.21\00:19:47.98 bell peppers. I have a quick question for everybody who is 00:19:48.01\00:19:50.74 watching here today. What is the highest source of Vitamin C? 00:19:50.77\00:19:56.62 Highest source of Vitamin C. Now I know you are all thinking 00:19:56.65\00:20:00.31 well you know maybe oranges or grapefruit or lemon and lime, 00:20:00.34\00:20:03.96 and you all are probably saying, obviously he is going to tell us 00:20:03.99\00:20:06.26 it's red bell peppers. Red bell peppers, not the number one 00:20:06.29\00:20:09.65 source but it's very high... Number one is called actually 00:20:09.68\00:20:14.51 Acerola Cherry! You eat this cherry, it tastes like a 00:20:14.54\00:20:17.09 vitamin C supplement, it burns your mouth... 00:20:17.12\00:20:19.62 But number two on the list is Sweet Red Bell Pepper. 00:20:19.65\00:20:24.67 Let me repeat Sweet Red Bell Pepper, everybody see it! 00:20:24.70\00:20:28.41 This one here, I'm telling you This is an amazing fruit because 00:20:28.44\00:20:32.09 it has so much Vitamin C... Matter of fact this 00:20:32.12\00:20:34.90 Sweet Red Bell Pepper has almost four times the amount 00:20:34.93\00:20:38.51 of Vitamin C than an orange and a lot of people don't know that 00:20:38.54\00:20:42.62 now a lot of people will also ask, well what about the 00:20:42.65\00:20:44.44 green one, or the orange, or the pink, or the yellow. 00:20:44.47\00:20:46.72 Now they got purple ones these days, I don't know about those, 00:20:46.75\00:20:49.35 I only know what we studied, and we found out the red ones... 00:20:49.38\00:20:52.15 Matter of fact, the red one is a sign that it has actually 00:20:52.18\00:20:55.55 ripened. The green ones are unripened Bell Peppers, 00:20:55.58\00:21:00.52 and so the greatest amount of Vitamin C will be found 00:21:00.55\00:21:03.63 in the red ones. A matter of fact, that's why they are 00:21:03.66\00:21:06.36 giving the green ones away at the supermarket. 00:21:06.39\00:21:08.34 A lot of people are like, well the red ones are expensive. 00:21:08.37\00:21:11.00 Why, because it costs the farmer man more time to grow it. 00:21:11.03\00:21:14.38 Matter of fact, if you leave the green one on the vine there 00:21:14.41\00:21:18.67 for a little bit longer it will actually turn red and so the 00:21:18.70\00:21:22.42 farmer man is like well, if it's going to cost me more 00:21:22.45\00:21:25.51 time, I'm going to charge you more. That's why these sometimes 00:21:25.54\00:21:27.39 are worth almost 3 or 4 dollars a pound and it's... 00:21:27.42\00:21:30.88 To me, I think it's extortion, but that's why... because 00:21:30.91\00:21:33.61 we can grow our own garden at home, so you will never have 00:21:33.64\00:21:36.75 to pay for this again. But, if you don't have your garden yet 00:21:36.78\00:21:39.46 go ahead and buy this, it's worth every last drop 00:21:39.49\00:21:42.82 because of the Vitamin C, and that's why we also put 00:21:42.85\00:21:45.60 roasted red bell peppers, because these actually... 00:21:45.63\00:21:49.17 in this container that I bought, it had about 3 or 4 in there 00:21:49.20\00:21:53.84 for only $2.98 or something of that nature, 00:21:53.87\00:21:57.14 and so it was actually cheaper than the fresh one. 00:21:57.17\00:22:00.00 The fresh one is always better, but if you can get it like that, 00:22:00.04\00:22:02.37 no problem, no complaints. So you put all of them in here 00:22:02.40\00:22:06.11 and we will just turn it on, so bear with me real quick. 00:22:06.14\00:22:10.91 No watch this, you want to blend it till you don't hear that 00:22:37.82\00:22:40.66 crispy, crackling sound, that means that the cashews have 00:22:40.69\00:22:43.45 actually been blended properly. Blend it until it is nice 00:22:43.48\00:22:46.31 and creamy, if you have a regular blender, take it easy 00:22:46.34\00:22:48.85 on the blender don't burn it out, stop and go, stop and go 00:22:48.88\00:22:51.37 as you want...and if it kind of gets like congested in there, 00:22:51.40\00:22:54.32 that's why you have an additional water to add. 00:22:54.35\00:22:58.07 But if you all don't mind, I like my mac and cheese 00:22:58.10\00:22:59.86 thick and creamy. If I want it on the stove top, 00:22:59.89\00:23:02.19 I'll do something else... and actually you can do stove top 00:23:02.22\00:23:04.18 just add more water and put it on the stove and keep mixing it. 00:23:04.21\00:23:06.69 But I like it nice and creamy, so I am not even going to add 00:23:06.72\00:23:09.05 that excess water there, and now I have nice cashew cream. 00:23:09.08\00:23:13.25 It is real simple how you do this. You go ahead...you take 00:23:13.28\00:23:16.18 your casserole dish, you take that cashew cream... 00:23:16.21\00:23:18.97 Oh my goodness! Look at this! 00:23:19.00\00:23:21.43 This is good stuff right here... and you pour that on there 00:23:21.46\00:23:25.27 and you all are like wait, you have more cheese than macaroni, 00:23:25.30\00:23:27.81 and that's how we do it back home. 00:23:27.84\00:23:30.22 This is actually so delicious, people won't even know it's 00:23:30.25\00:23:35.62 made from cashews, and because I have quite a bit, 00:23:35.65\00:23:38.39 I am going to go ahead and take some more cooked macaroni 00:23:38.42\00:23:42.40 and I am going to pour that on there, and what you want to do 00:23:42.43\00:23:45.89 is you want to mix that in there. 00:23:45.92\00:23:47.38 I like to use the kind of pasta that I would normally use 00:23:47.41\00:23:50.59 is the Rotini, the little spiral ones here... 00:23:50.62\00:23:52.72 You can use the elbows if you want, 00:23:52.75\00:23:54.70 whatever works best for you, but I like the Rotini because 00:23:54.73\00:23:57.96 then it gets all in it you know, and it holds it properly 00:23:57.99\00:24:02.67 and so let me put this down and mix that a little bit with 00:24:02.70\00:24:07.88 my smaller spoon. So you mix it properly and I think I have some 00:24:07.91\00:24:12.68 more cheese over here, so you know me, I don't like to waste 00:24:12.71\00:24:16.32 anything, so I am getting every last drop of cheese. 00:24:16.35\00:24:19.07 And you mix it in there properly, like I said you can 00:24:19.10\00:24:22.08 use the elbows, it's just that the cheese may not get in 00:24:22.11\00:24:25.67 the elbow so you will have an empty elbow 00:24:25.70\00:24:27.71 if you ever heard of that before. 00:24:27.74\00:24:28.82 Umm! And so you put it there, now you can stop here 00:24:28.85\00:24:35.24 and take it and put it in the oven, ok, you put this on the 00:24:35.27\00:24:41.20 oven 350- 375, follow the instructions there, 00:24:41.23\00:24:46.58 Ill go over this to give you something better. 00:24:46.61\00:24:48.35 So you take this, you put this in the oven, so if you don't 00:24:48.38\00:24:53.17 mind, giving me a second. Now we don't have all day to go ahead 00:24:53.20\00:24:56.75 and bake it, and it doesn't even take that long to bake 00:24:56.78\00:25:00.03 Matter of fact, one second. One lady said, I was making the 00:25:00.06\00:25:03.83 macaroni and cheese pie, but I was so hungry that I couldn't 00:25:03.86\00:25:08.72 wait for it to finish. So I said, "what happened"? 00:25:08.75\00:25:11.78 She said I pulled it back out of the oven and had started 00:25:11.81\00:25:16.36 eating it. I said, was it done? She said no, and she says 00:25:16.39\00:25:19.35 "am I going to get sick"? I said "why would you"? 00:25:19.38\00:25:22.23 It was just cashews, some lemon juice, onion powder, 00:25:22.26\00:25:25.24 garlic powder, and some stuff like that, no problem, eat it. 00:25:25.27\00:25:27.82 But you know what, if you made that other macaroni and cheese, 00:25:27.85\00:25:31.01 the one like grandma, you may get sick. "Why!" 00:25:31.04\00:25:33.70 Because she put a whole bunch of stuff in there, 00:25:33.73\00:25:35.90 and if you have to let it cook properly, because if it doesn't 00:25:35.93\00:25:38.48 cook properly, then it is going to cause other problems. 00:25:38.51\00:25:40.13 So let me get the other finished product one that we have here 00:25:40.16\00:25:43.79 for you...Now I don't want to show you because people my want 00:25:43.82\00:25:47.93 to order it and I'm trying to have this later for dinner, 00:25:47.96\00:25:52.30 but my dinner is lunch actually. And this is actually the 00:25:52.33\00:25:56.16 "Mac and Cheese Pie." As you see here, we got it a little 00:25:56.19\00:26:00.14 crispy and let it bake properly. What you do is you let this bake 00:26:00.17\00:26:05.49 in such a way that it gets really thick and you can see it 00:26:05.52\00:26:10.20 right here, look at this. Right there, simple, easy. 00:26:10.23\00:26:13.82 Don't worry, it's not going to fall. 00:26:13.85\00:26:15.61 Imagine if it did fall. But no, it won't fall on you 00:26:15.64\00:26:18.18 because it is nice and thick and hardy, 00:26:18.21\00:26:19.99 and here's the good thing about it, it's almost as good 00:26:20.02\00:26:23.25 as grandma's. "Almost!" Ok! And why do I say almost? 00:26:23.28\00:26:27.26 Because grandma's is not as good as this. 00:26:27.29\00:26:28.65 Because this one here... Did you ever notice when ah, 00:26:28.68\00:26:31.13 Thanksgiving and stuff like that, we'll come and we'll take 00:26:31.16\00:26:34.79 a slice of her macaroni and cheese...She will put like 00:26:34.82\00:26:36.84 five different cheeses in there, matter of fact, she will crack 00:26:36.87\00:26:39.24 a couple of eggs, milk, and all this stuff, and a whole 00:26:39.27\00:26:42.36 stick of butter...I remember because I ate one piece 00:26:42.39\00:26:45.32 and I was whew! Lord help me. I ate a second piece and I 00:26:45.35\00:26:47.87 felt my hear actually like start to flutter... 00:26:47.90\00:26:49.87 Oh I don't know if it was my heart, but I just got so tired 00:26:49.90\00:26:52.68 and if you notice at Thanksgiving everybody just 00:26:52.71\00:26:54.57 knocks out after the meal, because I don't know if they 00:26:54.60\00:26:57.62 knocked out or the mac and cheese knocked them out. 00:26:57.65\00:26:59.59 But the good thing with this one is, it will taste good 00:26:59.62\00:27:03.29 and it's actually good for you. 00:27:03.32\00:27:05.36 So go ahead, put this out on the table Thanksgiving, 00:27:05.39\00:27:09.18 special holidays... Enjoy it! 00:27:09.21\00:27:10.80 Just don't tell anybody, this is the fake one, 00:27:10.83\00:27:13.00 and this is the real one, just put it out there 00:27:13.03\00:27:14.98 and let them have a good time. 00:27:15.01\00:27:16.22
