when I was younger,

believe that the enemy

attacks ministers
and preacher's children

just to derail them and because
it throws off their ministry.

So I thought
myself being in the home,

went to a church
school, grandfather,

great grandfather--

of years in church school

or it was a balance between

church school and public school?

half, after middle school,

that are out there,

know, when they are young,

at a young age but you didn't.

What kind of motivated
you to keep you in school

ministry at a young age.

interested in all of things.

When I got to college
there was a lack of ministry.

So when I travel around to speak

I get strong emphasis
to the power of ministry.

Through the lack of ministries,

through the lack
of void in my life,

the enemy came in
and took up that space.

And so I found myself caught up

foolishness at a late age.

a lack of ministry.

young people's minds

they're trying to
get away from ministry,

of lack of ministry

involved in ministry.

And when things started to
change you went to college,

you to that lifestyle?

I was caught up
in were pretty heavy.

They were a lot of things
I say that I would never do.

Never smoke cigarettes.

Then I said, I
would never do drugs,

let alone sell drugs.

I said I would never
have sex before marriage.

go to any nightclubs.

These are all things
I said I would never do.

Now around what age were
you when you were saying,

you know, I'm not gonna
get involved in those things?

junior high and high school.

when I got into college

things drastically changed.

get involved with alcohol

cigarettes things like that,

smoking at 12-years-old,

13-years-old,
even before its legal.

And for you it
wasn't that case though.

Now, you also

gonna get involved in

I got caught up into that.

I said I never go to a clubs,

not only was I going
to clubs and partying

but I owned and operated it.

talk about that information.

You know, actually I

What were some other things

with while you were out there?

that I would sell to my friends.

every Friday and Saturday nights

throwing parties at
clubs, champagne, women,

you know, that
was just the lifestyle

for me for a while.

For a few years I made my
money solely illegally like that

and I just got so
taken away from the way

that I was brought up.

But God, in
order to save my soul,

He helped me lose everything.

involved with all these things,

still something lacking

and even when you
look at society today

and look at a lot
of entertainment stars,

many of them are
overdosing on drugs.

hooked on hard drugs.

Not just you know, cigarette
things like, some hard things.

a emptiness inside,

hand with a lot of these rappers

that you see on a lot
of different TV shows.

Yeah. They're depressed.

that same lifestyle.

and the woman weren't around,
I was empty and I was trying

of these music videos

young there was a song

that came out "Bling Bling"

everybody's flashing things,

everybody's shining.

Now this is actually a word
incorporated in the dictionary.

what's interesting is,

this and it starts,

but I was still empty inside.
