Amen, we are back. And we are getting 00:00:10.34\00:00:13.26 some answers to our homework assignment, 00:00:13.29\00:00:15.31 thank you so very, very much. 00:00:15.34\00:00:16.34 We've got one, the person didn't give us 00:00:16.37\00:00:19.13 their name and they are saying a miracle 00:00:19.16\00:00:21.70 is a thing that is impossible for a man 00:00:21.73\00:00:23.92 to do only God can perform. 00:00:23.95\00:00:26.57 I think that's pretty good. 00:00:26.60\00:00:27.73 Now, you didn't plan on doing this, 00:00:27.76\00:00:29.56 but you got to, you got to tell this story. 00:00:29.59\00:00:31.41 You said that when you told your story 00:00:31.44\00:00:33.90 of the glass, your father told you a story, yes. 00:00:33.93\00:00:38.21 Recap that story please. 00:00:38.24\00:00:40.41 Well he was selling books, canvassing. 00:00:40.44\00:00:43.70 That was against the law. 00:00:43.73\00:00:45.28 And they would catch you, you would go to 00:00:45.31\00:00:47.80 prison for the rest of your life probably. 00:00:47.83\00:00:49.82 And he was avoiding main roads and 00:00:49.85\00:00:55.19 he together with his friend Benjamin took, 00:00:55.22\00:00:59.63 they would go by the road through the forest 00:00:59.66\00:01:01.69 and they took instead of the main bridge 00:01:01.72\00:01:03.83 that the police could catch them because 00:01:03.86\00:01:05.95 people from the previous village. 00:01:05.98\00:01:07.67 Some of them would say hey there are 00:01:07.70\00:01:09.34 some people selling religious books. 00:01:09.37\00:01:11.18 So they would have to stay away from 00:01:11.21\00:01:12.75 the road in order to avoid the police. 00:01:12.78\00:01:16.05 So they took a different bridge that was old, 00:01:16.08\00:01:18.54 narrow, over a gorge, pretty deep, 00:01:18.57\00:01:22.41 rocks, water down. And the bridge had pieces 00:01:22.44\00:01:27.66 of wood boards that were, some of 00:01:27.69\00:01:29.81 them missing, some of them rotten. 00:01:29.84\00:01:31.54 So just rotten. Now some of the boards 00:01:31.57\00:01:32.91 are just not there they're gone, yes. 00:01:32.94\00:01:34.63 Totally missing, totally gone, 00:01:34.66\00:01:35.69 so you have to be very careful how you step. 00:01:35.72\00:01:37.56 And it was evening as they were talking, 00:01:37.59\00:01:40.91 Benjamin that was walking behind my father 00:01:40.94\00:01:43.91 and going slow called him and said Powell, 00:01:43.94\00:01:46.62 don't move. So my father stopped 00:01:46.65\00:01:49.52 and looked back what is it? 00:01:49.55\00:01:50.88 And he said look down. And he had, 00:01:50.91\00:01:53.34 there were like two meters of nothing. 00:01:54.38\00:01:57.04 The boards are all gone; the decks 00:01:57.07\00:01:59.63 were gone, yeah. The boards were gone. 00:01:59.66\00:02:01.18 And it was like he stepped one foot on 00:02:01.21\00:02:04.00 air the other one on air and now it was 00:02:04.03\00:02:06.23 one foot on wood still the foot behind was 00:02:06.26\00:02:09.13 still on air. And he told me that story, 00:02:09.16\00:02:14.97 he said probably God said His angels to 00:02:15.00\00:02:17.88 put their palm and hold my foot so 00:02:17.91\00:02:19.64 I won't be hurt. He said the same God 00:02:19.67\00:02:22.47 put His angels to hold the glass for, 00:02:22.50\00:02:25.13 hold that glass for you. Wow! Powerful, 00:02:25.16\00:02:28.06 powerful, powerful stories, yes. 00:02:28.09\00:02:30.91 So this idea of God standing up for 00:02:30.94\00:02:34.08 and showing Himself powerful in your 00:02:34.11\00:02:36.06 family is, it was not a new thing with you, 00:02:36.09\00:02:38.15 there was some history with that. 00:02:38.18\00:02:39.67 But you went to the army and we're gonna 00:02:39.70\00:02:42.87 do some of the stuff in just a moment 00:02:42.90\00:02:44.04 but you ran in some problems with army 00:02:44.07\00:02:47.79 service also. Absolutely. Yeah, yeah there are 00:02:47.82\00:02:52.79 many of them, one of them I remember 00:02:52.82\00:02:58.96 asking God to wake me up early in the 00:02:58.99\00:03:01.58 morning so I would have enough time to pray. 00:03:01.61\00:03:04.12 I didn't want to start the day without prayer. 00:03:04.15\00:03:06.80 And sure I didn't have a Bible, 00:03:06.83\00:03:09.28 but my girlfriend that is my wife. 00:03:09.31\00:03:11.77 She would send me letters and she would 00:03:11.80\00:03:13.89 write paragraphs from the spirit of prophecy 00:03:13.92\00:03:17.57 Bible verses and words of encouragement. 00:03:17.60\00:03:21.16 And I would pray and God would wake me 00:03:21.19\00:03:24.58 up early in the morning like 5:00, 4:30 00:03:24.61\00:03:28.60 and I would stay under the blanket 00:03:28.63\00:03:30.29 because I didn't want anybody to see me 00:03:30.32\00:03:32.54 and with a small flashlight I would 00:03:32.57\00:03:35.06 read and pray, read and pray and spend 00:03:35.09\00:03:38.08 some time with God. And then I would slowly 00:03:38.11\00:03:41.26 under the blanket get dressed, slow, 00:03:41.29\00:03:44.95 when the trumpet would call soldiers to wake up. 00:03:44.98\00:03:50.55 We would have just a short, extremely 00:03:50.58\00:03:52.97 short time to get dressed and be in front 00:03:53.00\00:03:54.78 of the garrison in the front yard. 00:03:54.81\00:03:57.63 I would always be the first one 00:03:57.66\00:03:58.97 because I was already dressed. 00:03:59.00\00:04:00.66 Well I remember one specific time I prayed 00:04:02.02\00:04:05.62 and said God please wake me up early enough 00:04:05.65\00:04:07.72 so I can start the day with you. 00:04:07.75\00:04:09.66 And God woke me up at 2:30. 00:04:09.69\00:04:12.26 And I said come on, this is too early. 00:04:12.29\00:04:16.12 And I wanted to go back to sleep and 00:04:16.15\00:04:18.08 God spoke in mind and said didn't you ask me 00:04:18.11\00:04:20.23 to wake you up. So I said okay then 00:04:20.26\00:04:23.23 I'm gonna pray, study and get the dressed. 00:04:23.26\00:04:26.88 And they got the rest then I wanted to 00:04:26.91\00:04:28.90 go back to sleep when the trumpet started 00:04:28.93\00:04:30.93 to sound and they had a drill, it was like 00:04:30.96\00:04:34.59 a war alarm. Yes. It was just a drill you know. 00:04:34.62\00:04:39.62 And everybody was sleepy; most of them 00:04:39.65\00:04:43.24 got punished for being late. I was the first 00:04:43.27\00:04:45.61 one there. And, so they asked me what 00:04:45.64\00:04:50.21 type of reward you want. A picture with 00:04:50.24\00:04:53.16 a flag, a few days at home, 00:04:53.19\00:04:55.67 what do you prefer? And so I took two 00:04:55.70\00:04:57.83 days at home. Then a different time 00:04:57.86\00:05:01.51 we were in, there were floods so they 00:05:01.54\00:05:04.17 called the army to go and pick up the corn 00:05:04.20\00:05:05.94 because the corn was in the water. 00:05:05.97\00:05:07.37 I remember that story, yes, yes, yes, yes. 00:05:07.40\00:05:09.62 And I would wake up early everyday and 00:05:09.65\00:05:12.54 they didn't have a clock, an alarm clock. 00:05:12.57\00:05:14.86 So the lieutenant asked one soldier to wake 00:05:14.89\00:05:18.06 everybody up, he slept longer than anybody 00:05:18.09\00:05:20.47 else so then the other one. 00:05:20.50\00:05:22.02 And then one of the soldiers, 00:05:22.05\00:05:23.74 his name was Adrian, he told the lieutenant 00:05:23.77\00:05:26.48 Goia wakes up early because I ask him, 00:05:26.51\00:05:29.83 he said God is waking him up to pray. 00:05:29.86\00:05:32.18 So if you want somebody to wake us up, 00:05:32.21\00:05:34.33 Goia can wake us up. So the lieutenant 00:05:34.36\00:05:36.85 said Goia, can you wake us up tomorrow? 00:05:36.88\00:05:38.81 I said yeah, what time? 5:30. I said okay. 00:05:38.84\00:05:42.31 How do you wake up? And I said well, 00:05:42.34\00:05:44.24 I'm praying and God wakes me up. 00:05:44.27\00:05:45.65 He asked, does He talk to you or 00:05:45.68\00:05:48.11 He would move your shoulder, 00:05:48.14\00:05:49.34 how does he do it? And I say well, 00:05:49.37\00:05:51.62 you pray and you will see how. 00:05:51.65\00:05:53.31 And I remember I would wake them up everyday 00:05:55.89\00:05:58.64 and I told the lieutenant, everyday I worked 00:05:58.67\00:06:02.11 and some of the soldiers would get drunk 00:06:02.14\00:06:04.82 and some of them would not work. 00:06:04.85\00:06:06.29 And he would come and check and he would 00:06:06.32\00:06:09.67 find that on the row that I'm on the corn is 00:06:09.70\00:06:13.82 picked up faithfully. And he would give me as 00:06:13.85\00:06:15.99 an example everyday; you see how he works, 00:06:16.02\00:06:17.85 you got to work the same. 00:06:17.88\00:06:19.09 Well Friday, I went to him and I said tomorrow 00:06:19.12\00:06:23.79 I cannot work; it's my day I worship God. 00:06:23.82\00:06:26.10 Go away; there is no God in this country. 00:06:26.13\00:06:30.15 I said I'm not gonna work. Yes, you will. 00:06:30.18\00:06:32.16 I'm not gonna work. Yes, you will. 00:06:32.19\00:06:34.37 Now you are in the service now, 00:06:34.40\00:06:35.53 this is not like before, you are under military 00:06:35.56\00:06:38.05 orders. You are under order; 00:06:38.08\00:06:39.68 you don't say no, you say yes sir. 00:06:39.71\00:06:41.21 Yes sir. And I said I'm sorry, I've been 00:06:41.24\00:06:44.52 obeying and respectful and do whatever 00:06:44.55\00:06:47.39 you say but tomorrow is God's day and that 00:06:47.42\00:06:49.86 is above you. So tomorrow I can't work. 00:06:49.89\00:06:53.05 He said, you will. I said respectfully 00:06:53.08\00:06:56.12 but I will not. He said you go to prison. 00:06:56.15\00:06:58.71 I said I will. I would rather go to prison. 00:06:58.74\00:07:00.76 He said are you crazy. I said well, 00:07:00.79\00:07:02.33 I don't know if I'm crazy or not. 00:07:02.36\00:07:03.89 But I said I want you to know I will not work. 00:07:03.92\00:07:07.60 He smiled and he said, if I let you not work 00:07:07.63\00:07:10.87 I can loose my job and my freedom. 00:07:10.90\00:07:13.28 And I said well if you let me not work the 00:07:13.31\00:07:16.24 God that is gonna take care of me, 00:07:16.27\00:07:17.41 is gonna take care of you too. 00:07:17.44\00:07:18.95 And he looked to me, he called me aside 00:07:18.98\00:07:23.91 and he said don't tell anybody, 00:07:23.94\00:07:26.22 I'm not gonna let you not work tomorrow. 00:07:26.25\00:07:28.92 I hope that your God is gonna take care 00:07:28.95\00:07:32.38 of me and my family. And then he asked 00:07:32.41\00:07:34.92 me to pray for him that was his name 00:07:34.95\00:07:36.27 was Barbulesco. Well after a month, no, 00:07:36.30\00:07:41.06 after two weeks, sorry, he was called back 00:07:41.09\00:07:43.42 to the garrison and the new one that was Vulpoi, 00:07:43.45\00:07:46.24 that in English means fox, he was sent. 00:07:46.27\00:07:48.58 That guy was a mean-guy. 00:07:48.61\00:07:50.90 There was a tough guy. Tough guy. 00:07:50.93\00:07:52.55 Yeah, yeah. He didn't care for soldiers, 00:07:52.58\00:07:54.66 he cared just for himself. He called us names, 00:07:54.69\00:07:58.44 he would not even care if we worked, 00:07:58.47\00:08:00.50 he would make our life miserable. 00:08:00.53\00:08:02.03 He didn't see that I work, but when I went 00:08:02.06\00:08:05.99 to him Friday and said I don't work tomorrow, 00:08:06.02\00:08:07.99 he said. I said you know I worked everyday, 00:08:08.02\00:08:10.89 he said I don't care that you worked. 00:08:10.92\00:08:12.60 You work tomorrow and if you work 00:08:12.63\00:08:15.33 or not you go in between the corn like 00:08:15.36\00:08:17.88 everybody else. I said I will not. 00:08:17.91\00:08:20.04 Yes, you will and I'm gonna make you go, 00:08:20.07\00:08:22.78 and if you go to prison I'm gonna make sure 00:08:22.81\00:08:24.51 you have a miserable life that in prison 00:08:24.54\00:08:26.25 you work, if not I will beat you to death 00:08:26.28\00:08:28.11 until you work. And he said I'm gonna make 00:08:28.14\00:08:30.60 sure that you do that. He called me names, 00:08:30.63\00:08:33.98 he cursed me. He took; I remember 00:08:34.01\00:08:36.59 an apple and threw after me and I said, 00:08:36.62\00:08:40.69 I said I'm not gonna work, get out, get away, 00:08:40.72\00:08:43.58 he didn't even wanna talk to me. 00:08:43.61\00:08:45.08 I prayed the whole night. And I remember 00:08:45.11\00:08:50.47 I had in my mind that I would have to 00:08:50.50\00:08:52.03 make a decision. I go to prison or I work. 00:08:52.06\00:08:55.65 And I asked God for strength, 00:08:55.68\00:08:57.93 it was not easy. And I made up my mind 00:08:57.96\00:09:00.69 that I'm not gonna work. Yeah. 00:09:00.72\00:09:02.53 So Saturday morning I went to him during 00:09:02.56\00:09:05.15 the breakfast. And I told him, I said I wanna 00:09:05.18\00:09:07.75 talk to you. Get out. I said, regardless if 00:09:07.78\00:09:10.10 you listen or not I'm gonna say it. 00:09:10.13\00:09:11.74 You will ruin my life I will go to prison. 00:09:11.77\00:09:14.67 But even if you put your gun I said in 00:09:14.70\00:09:16.54 my head and you shoot me, I will not 00:09:16.57\00:09:19.36 work because I love God more than my life. 00:09:19.39\00:09:21.29 And he said you are crazy. And I said probably, 00:09:21.32\00:09:25.99 but I said you are going to ruin somebody's life. 00:09:26.02\00:09:30.81 And I said I will not work. And I said may God 00:09:30.84\00:09:33.81 be with me. Wow! And he said you are crazy, 00:09:33.84\00:09:37.23 aren't you? You are serious, aren't you? 00:09:37.26\00:09:38.74 I said yes I am. Excuse me. 00:09:38.77\00:09:40.83 So you are willing to go to prison. 00:09:40.86\00:09:43.27 I said yes I am. What am I gonna do with you. 00:09:43.30\00:09:46.25 Now I need to just stop you and say, 00:09:46.28\00:09:48.45 when you talk about prison in Romania in 00:09:48.48\00:09:51.54 communist times you're not talking about 00:09:51.57\00:09:53.31 lounge chair watching TV sitting back. 00:09:53.34\00:09:55.61 You know some of our prisons here in the 00:09:55.64\00:09:57.75 States can be having been in a prison is 00:09:57.78\00:09:59.92 rough life. But depending on where you go, 00:09:59.95\00:10:02.69 you're talking about real prison, 00:10:02.72\00:10:03.97 this is not, no cakewalk, you are talking 00:10:04.00\00:10:05.72 about tough times. I have friends and 00:10:05.75\00:10:07.31 relatives that went to prison for having Bibles, 00:10:07.34\00:10:10.02 yes. And they would be beaten everyday, 00:10:10.05\00:10:13.00 everyday. And they stayed in prison 00:10:13.03\00:10:15.78 until revolution. And they have friends that 00:10:15.81\00:10:19.02 went to prison for not working Sabbath during 00:10:19.05\00:10:21.57 the army, they stayed in prison 7, 10, 11 years, 00:10:21.60\00:10:24.48 beaten extremely, extremely difficult life. 00:10:24.51\00:10:29.18 Yes. My cousin was in prison he lost weight 00:10:29.21\00:10:32.42 that you will not recognize him. 00:10:32.45\00:10:34.09 He would wish to die. He would tell you the 00:10:34.12\00:10:38.09 stories you will not even believe. So, basically. 00:10:38.12\00:10:42.84 You knew that's what was waiting for you, 00:10:42.87\00:10:43.94 I mean that's there was no, if, and or but. 00:10:43.97\00:10:46.35 That's what it was gonna be. Yes. Yeah. 00:10:46.38\00:10:49.02 So he said you are serious? I said, yes I am. 00:10:49.05\00:10:52.15 And he called me to come; it was something 00:10:52.18\00:10:58.81 like a kitchen, not the cafeteria where 00:10:58.84\00:11:02.92 everybody was eating. Yeah. And he said listen, 00:11:02.95\00:11:06.24 tomorrow you will not work but you will do 00:11:06.27\00:11:09.83 what I am asking you to do. 00:11:09.86\00:11:11.22 So I am gonna, I said hey don't ask me 00:11:11.25\00:11:13.82 to work because I'm not gonna work and 00:11:13.85\00:11:16.09 he said listen, if I let you not work the others 00:11:16.12\00:11:20.17 are gonna tell on me and I lose my job 00:11:20.20\00:11:22.67 and my freedom. I'm more not gonna do 00:11:22.70\00:11:24.34 that for you. But he said I'm gonna find 00:11:24.37\00:11:27.57 a way that they don't know and when 00:11:27.60\00:11:29.92 I call on you tomorrow you better answer. 00:11:29.95\00:11:32.74 Well I said, can I trust you because 00:11:32.77\00:11:36.92 I knew he didn't care for anybody and 00:11:36.95\00:11:38.95 you could not count on his word, he didn't 00:11:38.98\00:11:40.30 have a word. And he called me names 00:11:40.33\00:11:42.63 and he said get away if you don't trust me 00:11:42.66\00:11:44.45 then I don't even talk to you. 00:11:44.48\00:11:45.51 I said well it's not that I don't trust you 00:11:45.54\00:11:47.32 but I tell you don't ask me to work 00:11:47.35\00:11:49.40 because I will not work. 00:11:49.43\00:11:50.65 Saturday morning he asked every soldier 00:11:50.68\00:11:54.99 to take one row of corn. And then he 00:11:55.02\00:11:58.01 asked me the last one so I did. 00:11:58.04\00:12:01.71 I stood up right in front of the, 00:12:01.74\00:12:03.65 in line like everybody else. Now he said 00:12:03.68\00:12:06.15 soldiers go ahead straight forward start 00:12:06.18\00:12:08.99 picking corn. And he was waiting to see 00:12:09.02\00:12:12.21 what I do. And everybody in line, 00:12:12.24\00:12:16.05 everybody started to walk straight towards 00:12:16.08\00:12:18.02 the corn to start working. I didn't move. 00:12:18.05\00:12:21.37 I stood still. And then he looked to me 00:12:21.40\00:12:24.49 and after a few seconds he said Goia 00:12:24.52\00:12:27.14 come back, I want you to come here 00:12:27.17\00:12:29.34 and start a fire for me, I'm cold. 00:12:29.37\00:12:31.46 Pick up the wood and start a fire. 00:12:31.49\00:12:33.34 Turn around, I went to him I said 00:12:33.37\00:12:34.79 I'm not gonna start a fire for you. 00:12:34.82\00:12:36.32 But by this time soldiers were already 00:12:36.35\00:12:39.75 entering between the rows in the corn field. 00:12:39.78\00:12:43.21 He said, he called me names and then he said, 00:12:43.24\00:12:47.41 okay so what are you gonna do now. 00:12:47.44\00:12:49.39 If you stay here they see that you don't work. 00:12:49.42\00:12:52.01 Go. He said to me this very words, evaporate, 00:12:52.04\00:12:55.48 disappear, I don't want to see you, come tonight. 00:12:55.51\00:12:58.63 So I walked into the forest, walked until 00:12:58.66\00:13:03.49 to the next village and I asked where is the 00:13:03.52\00:13:05.41 Adventist Church and I went to the church. 00:13:05.44\00:13:07.38 Wow! After the church some church members 00:13:07.41\00:13:10.09 took me home and gave me good food 00:13:10.12\00:13:11.72 and after sunset after having prayer 00:13:11.75\00:13:15.36 and everything went back to the forest. 00:13:15.39\00:13:18.12 And he said, so how was your day. 00:13:18.15\00:13:21.00 I said it was great. And I said if you talk 00:13:21.03\00:13:23.70 something I will make your life miserable, 00:13:23.73\00:13:25.92 don't tell anybody anything. 00:13:25.95\00:13:27.45 So the soldiers who come to me, 00:13:27.48\00:13:30.27 so he called you back, yes he did. 00:13:30.30\00:13:32.13 What did he ask to do? I said, 00:13:32.16\00:13:33.57 well I can not tell you. Wow! Was he bad? 00:13:33.60\00:13:36.90 I said well, I can not tell you. I mean they 00:13:36.93\00:13:40.23 never knew. And they never knew. 00:13:40.26\00:13:43.38 Same second Sabbath however the, 00:13:43.41\00:13:45.88 after a month of corn we went back to 00:13:45.91\00:13:48.91 the garrison for instruction. 00:13:48.94\00:13:51.15 And it was a different one that was in the 00:13:51.18\00:13:53.44 communist party, Tufano was his name. 00:13:53.47\00:13:56.42 He was a mean-man, he was shameless, 00:13:56.45\00:13:59.83 Godless and almost like demon possessed. 00:13:59.86\00:14:04.57 He was extremely, extremely bad. 00:14:04.60\00:14:08.16 He came to me and said I know who you 00:14:08.19\00:14:09.88 are I know what you do I know what you talk, 00:14:09.91\00:14:12.31 I know what you eat at home, 00:14:12.34\00:14:13.69 I know every second of your life, 00:14:13.72\00:14:15.31 I know what you talk in the house. 00:14:15.34\00:14:16.85 And he said I'll make you eat pork, 00:14:16.88\00:14:20.58 I'll make you drink, I'll make you work 00:14:20.61\00:14:22.73 Saturdays, I'll make you curse God, 00:14:22.76\00:14:25.01 if not I'll terminate your life not just 00:14:25.04\00:14:27.61 your freedom, I'll make sure that 00:14:27.64\00:14:29.17 you don't live here. Isn't it interesting 00:14:29.20\00:14:30.61 how the Lord allowed you to go over 00:14:30.64\00:14:33.51 this ground again and again and again? 00:14:33.54\00:14:35.84 And how the devil put extremely belligerent, 00:14:35.87\00:14:38.28 mean-spirited, anti- God people in your path 00:14:38.31\00:14:42.84 and yet God proved himself faithful every time. 00:14:42.87\00:14:48.05 And when you read the book you almost 00:14:48.08\00:14:50.38 can't wait to get through one miracle, 00:14:50.41\00:14:52.23 one story to get to the next one because 00:14:52.26\00:14:54.77 there was just consistent, God showing 00:14:54.80\00:14:58.40 himself powerful each and every time, 00:14:58.43\00:15:01.16 so you go from one bad guy to a worse bad guy, 00:15:01.19\00:15:05.30 now to a worse bad guy. So walk us through 00:15:05.33\00:15:07.81 that story. I remember my father saying the 00:15:07.84\00:15:11.20 greater the challenge the greater the miracle, 00:15:11.23\00:15:13.04 yes, as long as you are in God's hands. 00:15:13.07\00:15:15.44 Now this guy called me to. 00:15:15.47\00:15:19.92 Meanwhile some things happened, 00:15:19.95\00:15:21.95 meanwhile soldiers used to steal from the 00:15:21.98\00:15:24.58 storage room compasses, shoes, tools and sell 00:15:24.61\00:15:30.90 them to buy alcohol. And they would ask 00:15:30.93\00:15:34.08 these soldiers to guard, to protect 00:15:34.11\00:15:37.05 and he himself would steal and then they 00:15:37.08\00:15:39.21 will ask a different one. Eventually my 00:15:39.24\00:15:41.81 friend Adrian went to them and said 00:15:41.84\00:15:43.76 if it was Goia nothing is gonna disappear, 00:15:43.79\00:15:45.92 this guy is honest. So they asked me to 00:15:45.95\00:15:47.76 oversee the storage room. And when the 00:15:47.79\00:15:50.73 soldiers would come for fresh socks 00:15:50.76\00:15:52.12 I would say you bring back the ones that 00:15:52.15\00:15:54.12 you stole in the morning and I give 00:15:54.15\00:15:56.03 you new ones. So things started to come back 00:15:56.06\00:15:58.28 and nothing disappeared anymore. 00:15:58.31\00:16:00.70 And then something happened, 00:16:00.73\00:16:03.25 the driveway was broken, it was paved 00:16:03.28\00:16:07.30 with nice stones like square. 00:16:07.33\00:16:11.17 I don't know how to call them, very nice, 00:16:11.20\00:16:13.36 you've seen in all cities. Oh that cobblestones. 00:16:13.39\00:16:15.32 Yes, yes, yes, yes. They didn't know 00:16:15.35\00:16:18.00 how to fix it, and I fixed the drive way. 00:16:18.03\00:16:19.91 And then I remember the museum, 00:16:19.94\00:16:23.72 it was a very old garrison, built in 1500s 00:16:23.75\00:16:27.20 by one of the Kings, way hundreds of 00:16:27.23\00:16:29.62 years before. So Alexander John Cuza 00:16:29.65\00:16:33.10 was the name of the garrison. 00:16:33.13\00:16:35.84 So they asked somebody to fix the museum 00:16:35.87\00:16:39.12 and they didn't know. So I did it, 00:16:39.15\00:16:41.34 and all the old weapons and swords and things, 00:16:41.37\00:16:44.56 I covered them in glass made kind of 00:16:44.59\00:16:46.96 boxes of glass. Covered all the old inscriptions 00:16:46.99\00:16:50.51 and just, by God's grace I made it beautiful. 00:16:50.54\00:16:53.02 And then the thing that holds the curtains over 00:16:53.05\00:16:57.48 the commander, the chief of the whole garrison 00:16:57.51\00:17:00.58 over the door that broken almost fell on 00:17:00.61\00:17:04.26 onto his head and almost hit him you know. 00:17:04.29\00:17:07.38 So nobody knew how to fix it and I did it. 00:17:07.41\00:17:10.54 So there were several things that happened 00:17:10.57\00:17:13.21 that God used me to help them, you know. 00:17:13.24\00:17:17.17 So eventually one Sabbath during some 00:17:17.20\00:17:22.00 Sabbaths I would hide in the bathroom, 00:17:22.03\00:17:24.04 during some Sabbaths I would find a way 00:17:24.07\00:17:27.61 to escape. But one Sabbath he specifically 00:17:27.64\00:17:30.27 called me and then put me in front of the other 00:17:30.30\00:17:34.11 soldiers and ordered me to dig a hole 00:17:34.14\00:17:36.48 in the ground. And I talked to him 00:17:36.51\00:17:38.97 and I said listen I will not do it, 00:17:39.00\00:17:40.72 please don't ask me to do it because 00:17:40.75\00:17:42.45 if you would ask me privately it would be 00:17:42.48\00:17:44.42 a punishment but if you would order me 00:17:44.45\00:17:47.33 in front of the whole company, we call it. 00:17:47.36\00:17:51.93 Yes. That would be a lot worse punishment 00:17:51.96\00:17:56.33 to disregard his command. And so he said 00:17:56.36\00:18:02.40 I'm gonna get you in front of everybody, 00:18:02.43\00:18:04.38 make you do it if not I'm gonna get the most 00:18:04.41\00:18:06.50 difficult, the hardest punishment for you. 00:18:06.53\00:18:08.80 And see, so he asked me to step forward 00:18:08.83\00:18:11.65 and to dig a hole in the ground and hide 00:18:11.68\00:18:13.75 from enemy. There was no enemy but 00:18:13.78\00:18:17.50 it was an order. And instead of when 00:18:17.53\00:18:20.31 he said that I should dig a hole in the ground, 00:18:20.34\00:18:23.49 I didn't move. So he ordered me again 00:18:23.52\00:18:26.91 and I didn't move. He ordered me again 00:18:26.94\00:18:29.97 he started to lose his temper, and he 00:18:30.00\00:18:32.57 started to scream and to get foam at 00:18:32.60\00:18:34.37 his mouth. He's angry. Extremely. Yes. 00:18:34.40\00:18:38.58 Extreme anger. And he screamed and he said 00:18:38.61\00:18:42.90 you disobey and disregarded in front 00:18:42.93\00:18:45.01 of the other soldiers, I'll make you pay for 00:18:45.04\00:18:47.44 it and screaming he left us there. 00:18:47.47\00:18:49.83 He called all the officers of the garrison. 00:18:49.86\00:18:52.82 He proposed maximum punishment during 00:18:52.85\00:18:57.66 the order to be the capital punishment, 00:18:57.69\00:18:59.36 however during the peace would be 00:18:59.39\00:19:01.51 7 to 14 years prison. They would just shoot 00:19:01.54\00:19:04.24 you on the spot in war time; you disobey 00:19:04.27\00:19:06.26 an order, yeah, yeah but now is prison. 00:19:06.29\00:19:08.86 So I left the training field went to the 00:19:08.89\00:19:14.63 storage room, locked myself inside. 00:19:14.66\00:19:18.65 And started to pray and in the beginning 00:19:18.68\00:19:21.26 I was asking God for help to protect me. 00:19:21.29\00:19:24.01 But as I was praying it came to my mind 00:19:24.04\00:19:27.12 that God should be the priority, 00:19:27.15\00:19:29.41 God's honor, God's name and that I should 00:19:29.44\00:19:32.38 ask that whatever happens just that 00:19:32.41\00:19:34.47 he would give me strength and peace and faith. 00:19:34.50\00:19:37.67 Amen. So I was praying for faith and there 00:19:37.70\00:19:40.18 I was praying He gave me peace. 00:19:40.21\00:19:43.36 Praise God. I remember I started to read 00:19:43.39\00:19:45.69 paragraphs that my girlfriend send me 00:19:45.72\00:19:48.11 and started to sing songs. And as I was 00:19:48.14\00:19:52.95 praying somebody knocks in the door. 00:19:52.98\00:19:55.37 It was a sergeant; his name was Chuchu Vassili. 00:19:55.40\00:19:58.64 No I'm sorry, Chuchu Marian. I'm, it's a 00:19:58.67\00:20:02.59 long time since, yes. He was a short guy, 00:20:02.62\00:20:05.81 funny guy. So I opened the door and 00:20:05.84\00:20:08.62 he said Pavel, I want you to be honest with me. 00:20:08.65\00:20:12.69 He said I'm honest with you. 00:20:12.72\00:20:14.33 Do you know General Wilkes? I said I don't 00:20:14.36\00:20:18.06 the general. He was one of the generals of 00:20:18.09\00:20:20.38 the four armies of Romania. 00:20:20.41\00:20:22.12 It was extremely big. And the general happened 00:20:22.15\00:20:27.32 that he came without announcing to check, 00:20:27.35\00:20:31.57 to inspect our garrison. When he came to inspect 00:20:31.60\00:20:35.62 he visited the museum and he noticed 00:20:35.65\00:20:37.62 that it's all covered in glass. And he visited 00:20:37.65\00:20:40.52 that and that and that and that. 00:20:40.55\00:20:42.23 Well all the work you have done all the time 00:20:42.26\00:20:43.90 the general was seeing all of this stuff. 00:20:43.93\00:20:45.53 But I didn't know. Yes, and this is one of 00:20:45.56\00:20:47.00 top guys in the country not just your little unit. 00:20:47.03\00:20:49.74 One of the four big guys in the country, 00:20:49.77\00:20:52.00 in the whole country, okay. And then they had 00:20:52.03\00:20:55.01 a meeting and so the sergeant says to me 00:20:55.04\00:20:58.41 you sure you don't know the general. 00:20:58.44\00:20:59.87 No. You don't know anybody in the central 00:20:59.90\00:21:02.01 committee, the communist party. Yeah. 00:21:02.04\00:21:03.83 I said no. you don't know anybody there? 00:21:03.86\00:21:05.44 No. Says wow. I said why? And he says this 00:21:05.47\00:21:08.60 is what happened. The general came from 00:21:08.63\00:21:11.25 Bucharest to inspect the garrison. 00:21:11.28\00:21:13.17 And they wanted, they said we have an 00:21:13.20\00:21:16.32 emergency meeting, we have to punish a guy. 00:21:16.35\00:21:18.57 I said well before you that, let's first get 00:21:18.60\00:21:21.46 down with the inspection. Yes. 00:21:21.49\00:21:23.07 And he said I notice that you did that. 00:21:23.10\00:21:25.33 Who did the museum when they said oh Goia. 00:21:25.36\00:21:27.67 I noticed that you got the drive way, 00:21:27.70\00:21:30.41 who did the drive way, Goia. 00:21:30.44\00:21:32.36 What about the storage room? 00:21:32.39\00:21:33.92 It's clean and in order and before older shovels 00:21:33.95\00:21:36.84 were dirty but I know they were clean and, 00:21:36.87\00:21:38.58 who did it? Goia, Goia. After they talked about 00:21:38.61\00:21:43.73 everything he says okay who is the guy 00:21:43.76\00:21:45.69 that you wanna punish. And they said this Goia, 00:21:45.72\00:21:48.00 Goia. And he said why would you punish him, 00:21:48.03\00:21:51.52 what did he do? Fighting, getting drunk, 00:21:51.55\00:21:54.83 he is against the country, against the 00:21:54.86\00:21:56.37 communist party and they said no. 00:21:56.40\00:21:57.96 He doesn't get involved in politics. 00:21:57.99\00:21:59.95 It is just that, he doesn't work Saturdays. 00:21:59.98\00:22:03.18 Does he work the other days? Yeah, 00:22:03.21\00:22:05.54 he works pretty hard everyday. 00:22:05.57\00:22:07.32 Is he honest? Yes he is. Does he do proselytism, 00:22:07.35\00:22:10.64 propaganda, religious propaganda? No. 00:22:10.67\00:22:13.43 Then what do you have against him? 00:22:13.46\00:22:15.68 Don't you wish that you had everybody 00:22:15.71\00:22:17.62 like him; if he is ready to die for his God, 00:22:17.65\00:22:19.76 don't you think that he would be ready 00:22:19.79\00:22:21.35 to die for his country too? These are the 00:22:21.38\00:22:23.58 people that never betray us. 00:22:23.61\00:22:25.38 We wish we would have more people like him, 00:22:25.41\00:22:27.58 yes. And he said you touch him, you lose your 00:22:27.61\00:22:30.88 jobs. You touch him you go against him. 00:22:30.91\00:22:33.50 He said don't touch this guy, alright. 00:22:33.53\00:22:36.54 So the sergeant said, so you don't know him, 00:22:36.57\00:22:39.84 I said No I don't. It was hard for me to 00:22:39.87\00:22:41.52 even believe. But after he left Barbulesco, 00:22:41.55\00:22:45.08 the guy that was in the first two weeks 00:22:45.11\00:22:46.70 at corn field. Yes. He came and says Pavel, 00:22:46.73\00:22:50.32 do you know the general? I said no, 00:22:50.35\00:22:52.18 I don't know him. You don't lie, 00:22:52.21\00:22:54.13 you cannot lie, you are an Adventist. 00:22:54.16\00:22:55.60 I said no I don't know. He told me the same story. 00:22:55.63\00:22:58.94 So basically after that lieutenants and others 00:22:58.97\00:23:04.10 and captains would come to me and say, 00:23:04.13\00:23:05.85 hey Pavel, don't you want to go to church? 00:23:05.88\00:23:09.85 Yes, I want. You are free to go. 00:23:09.88\00:23:11.43 Don't you want to go home? Yes, I want. 00:23:11.46\00:23:12.79 You are free to go. Just call the general 00:23:12.82\00:23:14.56 and tell him that we take good care of you. 00:23:14.59\00:23:16.59 They didn't believe that I don't even know, 00:23:16.62\00:23:19.08 know him yes, yes. So basically from that 00:23:19.11\00:23:21.63 day on I had the best life among all soldiers 00:23:21.66\00:23:25.65 there. Yes. I ate good food, I would go out 00:23:25.68\00:23:29.12 anytime I wanted to go home, anytime go to 00:23:29.15\00:23:31.13 church every Sabbath. They never asked me 00:23:31.16\00:23:33.05 to work Saturdays again, they would try 00:23:33.08\00:23:34.82 to protect me, so the general would be happy. 00:23:34.85\00:23:37.19 That is, God answered the prayer of Solomon; 00:23:37.22\00:23:39.09 he gave you what you wanted and what 00:23:39.12\00:23:40.55 you didn't even ask for. Someone took up your 00:23:40.58\00:23:42.96 cost who you did not even know, 00:23:42.99\00:23:44.62 that's our powerful God. That is an incredible 00:23:44.65\00:23:46.96 story. I saw that in the book, one of the great 00:23:46.99\00:23:51.45 miracles in the book. So, I think we'll stop 00:23:51.48\00:23:54.08 here while we are catching our breath 00:23:54.11\00:23:56.00 and go to some music. We've got some more 00:23:56.03\00:23:59.55 of these stories, they are fabulous and 00:23:59.58\00:24:01.26 I want to command you just saw the graphic 00:24:01.29\00:24:03.43 of the book. Go to ABC and get we don't 00:24:03.46\00:24:06.55 push books that much but this is not just a 00:24:06.58\00:24:09.13 book this is the working of God in a life and 00:24:09.16\00:24:13.70 it will encourage you. The Bible does say 00:24:13.73\00:24:15.36 that a good report makes your bones fat. 00:24:15.39\00:24:17.84 So we are, Pavel, we are fattening ourselves 00:24:17.87\00:24:20.28 up tonight on some really wonderful stories. 00:24:20.31\00:24:22.31 Tim Hebbert returns and this sort of fits in with 00:24:22.34\00:24:27.45 where we're going, what we're talking about, 00:24:27.48\00:24:29.13 to ask the question, who am I? 00:24:29.16\00:24:30.93 Well we are God's children and when we 00:24:30.96\00:24:33.92 stand up for him he does indeed stand up for us. 00:24:33.95\00:24:36.97 Tim Hebbert, sings now, Who Am I. 00:24:37.00\00:24:39.64 When I think of how He came so far from glory 00:24:55.90\00:25:09.56 Came and dwell to among the lowly such as I 00:25:09.59\00:25:25.03 To suffer shame and such disgrace 00:25:25.06\00:25:32.72 On Mount Calvary take my place 00:25:32.75\00:25:40.01 Then I ask myself one question, Who am I? 00:25:40.04\00:25:54.17 Who am I that The King would bleed and die for 00:25:54.20\00:26:08.60 Who am I that He would pray not my will, thine Lord 00:26:08.63\00:26:23.92 The answer I may never know 00:26:23.95\00:26:31.53 Why He ever loved me so 00:26:31.56\00:26:38.86 But to an old rugged cross He'd go For who am I? 00:26:38.89\00:26:53.54 When I'm reminded of His words I'll leave Him never 00:27:00.90\00:27:15.20 Just be true and I'll give to you new life forever 00:27:15.23\00:27:27.12 and forever Oh I wonder what I could have done 00:27:27.15\00:27:40.05 To deserve God's only Son 00:27:40.08\00:27:46.82 To fight my battles until they're won For who am I? 00:27:46.85\00:28:01.23 Who am I that The King would bleed and die for 00:28:01.26\00:28:16.36 Who am I that He would pray not my will, 00:28:16.39\00:28:26.40 thine Lord. The answer I may never know 00:28:26.43\00:28:39.04 Why He ever loved me so 00:28:39.07\00:28:46.12 But to an old rugged cross He'd go For who am I? 00:28:46.15\00:29:00.69 But to an old rugged cross He'd go For who am I? 00:29:00.72\00:29:17.85 Well done Tim Hebbert. Hebbert rather. 00:29:27.39\00:29:30.15 Who am I? Very powerful question. 00:29:30.18\00:29:32.41 We are children of the most high God. 00:29:32.44\00:29:34.75 I want to take just a moment and remind you 00:29:34.78\00:29:36.87 as we are half way through our second 00:29:36.90\00:29:39.49 hour reach out for life, ten truths from the Bible 00:29:39.52\00:29:43.73 that will change you forever. 00:29:43.76\00:29:46.48 Lonnie Melashenko's work, we would be 00:29:46.51\00:29:49.38 glad to send this out to you. 00:29:49.41\00:29:50.72 It is indeed our free offer, before the evening, 00:29:50.75\00:29:54.16 call us 618-627-4651. Email us freeoffer@3abn.org. 00:29:54.19\00:30:05.02 Thelive@3abn.org is your home work assignment; 00:30:05.05\00:30:10.27 you can call us at 618-627-4651 or 00:30:10.30\00:30:14.74 live@3abn.org for your little homework assignment. 00:30:14.77\00:30:20.62 A number of people, Janet writes from Trinidad 00:30:20.65\00:30:26.10 that she was in a coma, brain was bleeding. 00:30:26.13\00:30:28.45 Doctors said 96 percent chance of brain failure, 00:30:28.48\00:30:32.53 not gonna live, her miracle is, 00:30:32.56\00:30:35.96 basically she's alive and well. Amen. 00:30:35.99\00:30:39.50 That's a miracle from the Lord. 00:30:39.53\00:30:41.38 Mary, she says a miracle is out of the ordinary 00:30:41.41\00:30:47.11 or unusual result. She says some people get 00:30:47.14\00:30:51.87 miracles so that his purpose, that is God's 00:30:51.90\00:30:54.41 purpose is fulfilled. Rose answered the same 00:30:54.44\00:30:59.58 question. Miracle is a divine worker, 00:30:59.61\00:31:01.87 a gift from God. He knows the results will 00:31:01.90\00:31:07.00 play out for the best that's why God does 00:31:07.03\00:31:08.77 miracles in individual's lives. Then Sharon, 00:31:08.80\00:31:11.53 this is a local from Thompsonville. 00:31:11.56\00:31:13.26 A miracle is anything, oh I read this before, 00:31:13.29\00:31:15.67 this is that it happens beyond logic or reason. 00:31:15.70\00:31:18.36 And Betty from Ohio, I think we looked at before. 00:31:18.39\00:31:21.24 Bessie had a miracle in her life at a 00:31:21.27\00:31:23.85 clothing center. Donna from Georgia 00:31:23.88\00:31:26.15 has experienced miracles in her life. 00:31:26.18\00:31:28.71 Here's another one that we didn't get a name on. 00:31:28.74\00:31:34.12 Anne from New Jersey says that God does 00:31:34.15\00:31:39.82 these things so that those who do not know 00:31:39.85\00:31:42.24 Christ will be influenced. And I dare say so that 00:31:42.27\00:31:47.21 those who know Christ will also be encouraged. 00:31:47.24\00:31:50.51 Because these miracles this series of God 00:31:50.54\00:31:56.04 inserting Himself into your life must really 00:31:56.07\00:31:58.65 have strengthen to your faith, amen. 00:31:58.68\00:32:01.39 Because you stand up for him and each time 00:32:01.42\00:32:04.06 that he stands up for you. You know that God is 00:32:04.09\00:32:07.10 there and He is gonna stand up for you again 00:32:07.13\00:32:08.33 and again. Greg Bird said to me CA, 00:32:08.36\00:32:12.92 you've got to get Pavel to talk about the 00:32:12.95\00:32:16.10 Mene Mene story. It's a chapter in the book; 00:32:16.13\00:32:18.86 do you recall what that one was about? 00:32:18.89\00:32:20.69 Mene Mene. Tell us with that story what about? 00:32:20.72\00:32:22.96 That evident is Greg's favorite 00:32:22.99\00:32:25.27 or one of the most powerful, and just 00:32:25.30\00:32:26.61 walk us through that particular story. 00:32:26.64\00:32:28.45 Mene Mene, that's not his real name. 00:32:28.48\00:32:31.65 He was one of the children in, 00:32:31.68\00:32:35.96 he was not a child, he was 19 years old 00:32:35.99\00:32:37.77 but he looked like a child because he was short. 00:32:37.80\00:32:40.52 He had quite a few disabilities, 00:32:40.55\00:32:47.31 he was handicapped. He was unable to speak well, 00:32:47.34\00:32:50.52 he was unable to walk well, he would walk sideways. 00:32:50.55\00:32:53.88 Not use properly his right hand and his right leg. 00:32:53.91\00:32:56.37 And from a extremely poor family. 00:32:56.40\00:33:00.55 He was begging on the streets, 00:33:00.58\00:33:03.63 he had many accidents. One time a car hit him 00:33:03.66\00:33:06.92 by the marketplace. One time a bicycle hit 00:33:06.95\00:33:10.02 him in the train station. He would not look left 00:33:10.05\00:33:14.81 or right when he would cross the street, 00:33:14.84\00:33:15.97 he would just run somehow, yes. 00:33:16.00\00:33:18.86 And so, anyway I remember coming from 00:33:18.89\00:33:24.31 my sister, driving the car, get him home. 00:33:24.34\00:33:27.60 I'm planning to get gas and the next day 00:33:27.63\00:33:30.98 morning to go to the conference, 00:33:31.01\00:33:32.43 for the meeting for the pastoral meeting. 00:33:32.46\00:33:34.60 It was a crisis in the country, 00:33:34.63\00:33:36.99 there was no gas, so we would stay in long 00:33:37.02\00:33:38.91 lines to get gas. And the gas was limited, 00:33:38.94\00:33:41.84 it was a ratio you would get so much gas 00:33:41.87\00:33:43.62 a month. Sure, yeah. And basically I knew 00:33:43.65\00:33:46.88 that if I wait until the morning I may never 00:33:46.91\00:33:50.14 get in time to the pastoral meeting, 00:33:50.17\00:33:51.63 so I will have to go now and get gas and then. 00:33:51.66\00:33:54.59 So there was no gas station within the town, 00:33:54.62\00:33:57.69 it will be outside the town limits. 00:33:57.72\00:33:59.51 The night before I had a dream and usually 00:33:59.54\00:34:05.78 I thought I never dream, I thought just my mom 00:34:05.81\00:34:07.64 dreams. But I would sleep so hard that 00:34:07.67\00:34:11.57 I probably would not remember the dreams. 00:34:11.60\00:34:14.03 But that night I woke up crying 00:34:14.06\00:34:16.68 because in my dream I hit a child with my car 00:34:16.71\00:34:21.09 and he had blood all over coming and 00:34:21.12\00:34:23.39 I woke up and I told my wife what I dreamed? 00:34:23.42\00:34:26.11 Well that day after I got home. 00:34:26.14\00:34:29.30 My wife was cooking, cleaning. 00:34:29.33\00:34:32.63 I got in the car and went to the gas station. 00:34:32.66\00:34:35.71 As I was exiting the city, there are two 00:34:35.74\00:34:41.85 curves like an S on the road, yes. 00:34:41.88\00:34:46.16 And you can not see what is behind 00:34:46.19\00:34:47.39 because of the trees yes. 00:34:47.42\00:34:48.89 And everybody was driving extremely slow. 00:34:50.57\00:34:53.61 In front of all the cars there was a horse 00:34:53.64\00:34:58.30 pulled wagon and the wagon was filled up 00:34:58.33\00:35:02.20 with wood for fire. And the horse pulled wagon 00:35:02.23\00:35:07.51 was going so slow, yes. And no car could pass 00:35:07.54\00:35:11.05 because they would not see what comes on 00:35:11.08\00:35:12.84 the other side coming at you, towards you, 00:35:12.87\00:35:14.44 yes, yes. Exactly. So they would have to wait 00:35:14.47\00:35:16.82 and after the two curves finally pass 00:35:16.85\00:35:20.17 when they had visibility. Well so I put I had 00:35:20.20\00:35:24.09 a stick-shift, so I put that car in first 00:35:24.12\00:35:27.72 or second gear and go slow. 00:35:27.75\00:35:31.43 And I remember after the curves, 00:35:31.46\00:35:33.98 cars started to pass. So when I got to the 00:35:34.01\00:35:39.42 next one behind the wagon I passed 00:35:39.45\00:35:44.72 changing the second, changing the third gear 00:35:44.75\00:35:47.27 and there were cars coming from the other 00:35:47.30\00:35:49.53 direction on this two lane road. Yes. 00:35:49.56\00:35:52.93 It was a truck that came and when the 00:35:52.96\00:35:57.83 truck was parallel with my car from behind 00:35:57.86\00:36:02.44 the truck Mene Mene jumped right in front 00:36:02.47\00:36:07.89 of my car. Wow. So probably after the 00:36:07.92\00:36:11.94 truck passed, he started to run, yes. 00:36:11.97\00:36:14.22 Never thought about the car coming in the 00:36:14.25\00:36:16.12 other direction. Never thought about, exactly. 00:36:16.15\00:36:17.84 Yes, yes. And he didn't jump two meters 00:36:17.87\00:36:22.12 ahead or one meter or right in front of 00:36:22.15\00:36:26.12 the bumper, I didn't even have time to 00:36:26.15\00:36:27.72 push the brake. Hit him. You hit him 00:36:27.75\00:36:30.06 full force, no foot on the brake at all. 00:36:30.09\00:36:33.05 And then I pushed the brake but it was after 00:36:33.08\00:36:35.09 I hit him. You actually hit him, yes. 00:36:35.12\00:36:36.54 He went up, he came down and the car while 00:36:36.57\00:36:39.22 stopping hit him again. Oh. And to him, 00:36:39.25\00:36:42.06 by the side of the road and he also hit the 00:36:42.09\00:36:46.38 curb of the side of the road. 00:36:46.41\00:36:47.92 When you had your dream the night before, 00:36:47.95\00:36:49.60 did it happen as you saw in your dream 00:36:49.63\00:36:51.32 or fairly close, so you saw it pretty much 00:36:51.35\00:36:53.22 as it happened. Exactly. And so I didn't know 00:36:53.25\00:37:00.80 what to do, stopped there. A few cars 00:37:00.83\00:37:04.18 stopped in that time if you would wait for 00:37:04.21\00:37:06.87 the ambulance, I'm sorry to say but the 00:37:06.90\00:37:10.58 pizza car will come faster than the ambulance 00:37:10.61\00:37:12.85 you know. They will never come, so usually what 00:37:12.88\00:37:15.29 people did in that time they would put him in 00:37:15.32\00:37:19.06 the car and run. Just take him. Yeah. 00:37:19.09\00:37:21.16 Put him carefully ran him to hospital. Yeah. 00:37:21.19\00:37:24.11 So somebody stopped I remember an old red car, 00:37:24.14\00:37:27.61 got him in the car, ran him to hospital in that's 00:37:27.64\00:37:30.97 town called red steel. Because it was a 00:37:31.00\00:37:35.51 steel factory there, yes, yes. 00:37:35.54\00:37:37.70 And from that town it happens that one of the 00:37:37.73\00:37:42.60 doctors, one of the physicians was my neighbor. 00:37:42.63\00:37:45.49 And they looked at him and they said we can 00:37:45.52\00:37:50.54 not deal with him, it's to, how to say, 00:37:50.57\00:37:56.38 the damage is too great, yes, yes, yes. 00:37:56.41\00:37:59.48 So they put him in an ambulance, 00:37:59.51\00:38:01.14 rushed him to the next city that was bigger 00:38:01.17\00:38:03.50 to Caransebes. And there they said, 00:38:03.53\00:38:06.51 we should send him to Timisoara, to the biggest 00:38:06.54\00:38:08.94 city in that area. However they said 00:38:08.97\00:38:11.62 it may be too late. They did the x-ray 00:38:11.65\00:38:15.01 and I remember specifically when they 00:38:15.04\00:38:17.48 put them on a like a box that has glass 00:38:17.51\00:38:20.32 and behind the glass some light that you 00:38:20.35\00:38:21.83 can see the x-ray and they put the x-ray. 00:38:21.86\00:38:24.98 And I remember specifically doctor 00:38:25.01\00:38:26.92 saying brain hemorrhage, 00:38:26.95\00:38:29.97 spine broken in two places, right lung broken 00:38:30.00\00:38:35.30 and hemorrhage in his lung, arm broken, 00:38:35.33\00:38:40.42 shoulder and hip both broken and leg broken 00:38:40.45\00:38:44.74 in two places. How fast were you going 00:38:44.77\00:38:46.50 when you impacted him, do you have any idea? 00:38:46.53\00:38:49.08 Around 50 to 55 kilometers per hour. 00:38:49.11\00:38:52.26 But the impact was so short and so strong that. 00:38:52.29\00:38:55.94 Yes, yes, yes. It was not that I didn't have 00:38:55.97\00:38:58.59 time to slow down at all. And I hit him twice, 00:38:58.62\00:39:02.99 yes, yes. The other things the hands, 00:39:03.02\00:39:07.24 the shoulder, the leg, the hip, they would heal. 00:39:07.27\00:39:13.37 The problem with the brain, the spine and the 00:39:13.40\00:39:18.10 lung that was the worst one, yes, yes. 00:39:18.13\00:39:20.29 Because he could not breathe, 00:39:20.32\00:39:21.82 it was blood in his lung and he could hear him 00:39:21.85\00:39:25.51 gurgle into his own blood you know. 00:39:25.54\00:39:27.71 And so they put him to life support and in just 00:39:27.74\00:39:32.19 short time, it, yeah the flat line they call it 00:39:32.22\00:39:36.20 here, yes. The flat line came and they checked 00:39:36.23\00:39:39.36 his pulse and he had no blood pressure, no pulse. 00:39:39.39\00:39:42.32 The heart stopped and they just covered him. 00:39:42.35\00:39:45.67 I remember the doctor declaring him dead, 00:39:45.70\00:39:48.61 you now. Can I ask you at this moment, 00:39:48.64\00:39:51.59 because I've read the end of the story, 00:39:51.62\00:39:53.12 what were you feeling just now? 00:39:53.15\00:39:55.05 You hit somebody, wasn't your fault really 00:39:55.08\00:39:58.39 but that doesn't free you from the trauma 00:39:58.42\00:40:02.01 of having. In the beginning I was calm, 00:40:02.04\00:40:05.45 but as time would go by, I started to shake 00:40:05.48\00:40:08.61 and I started to think about it and I had in 00:40:08.64\00:40:14.32 my mind that I would rather die myself than 00:40:14.35\00:40:16.75 to know that I took somebody's life. Yes. 00:40:16.78\00:40:18.65 I could not bear it and I started to think about 00:40:18.68\00:40:24.12 me being a pastor. And people being so 00:40:24.15\00:40:27.76 superstitious you know and sometimes 00:40:27.79\00:40:31.05 so much prejudice around. People saying the 00:40:31.08\00:40:34.35 Adventist pastor killed that kid you know. 00:40:34.38\00:40:36.61 Yes, yes, yes, yes. So I started to pray 00:40:36.64\00:40:41.02 and I remember that one of the doctors, 00:40:41.05\00:40:44.85 some of them knew me there. 00:40:44.88\00:40:46.50 And one of them coming and saying pastor, 00:40:46.53\00:40:48.88 it's not your fault. Nobody is gonna do anything 00:40:48.91\00:40:51.76 against you. It doesn't help to pray anymore, 00:40:51.79\00:40:55.21 you could have prayed when he was alive. 00:40:55.24\00:40:56.84 Right now, it's too late. There were nurses, 00:40:56.87\00:40:59.65 there were doctors there, everybody trying 00:40:59.83\00:41:01.80 to save his life and he says right now 00:41:01.83\00:41:04.22 it's too late, he is dead. Nobody is gonna bring 00:41:04.25\00:41:07.80 him back not even God can bring him back. 00:41:07.83\00:41:10.59 But I don't agree because God is the one 00:41:10.62\00:41:13.58 who gives us life afterward. Yes, yes. 00:41:13.61\00:41:16.32 He is the creator, you know. Yes. 00:41:16.35\00:41:17.82 Well they asked me to leave, they said no 00:41:17.85\00:41:22.60 reason to stay here anymore he is dead. 00:41:22.63\00:41:24.15 I went home and my wife and I prayed the 00:41:24.18\00:41:28.47 whole night. We did not sleep a second. 00:41:28.50\00:41:31.49 And we prayed like never before, 00:41:31.52\00:41:35.66 to the point that I said God if you want 00:41:35.69\00:41:38.64 take my life and give it to him just please 00:41:38.67\00:41:41.19 work for your namesake, work the people 00:41:41.22\00:41:44.78 who not talk against the church. 00:41:44.81\00:41:46.88 Now that's what I was gonna ask you, 00:41:46.91\00:41:47.88 what was the burden of your prayer 00:41:47.89\00:41:49.60 because he's been declared dead. 00:41:49.63\00:41:51.99 Are you praying for him, for yourself, 00:41:52.02\00:41:55.11 that God's name be glorified? 00:41:55.14\00:41:57.54 You're up all night, you are agonizing 00:41:57.57\00:41:59.69 with the God, what's the focus, 00:41:59.72\00:42:02.08 what are you praying for specifically. 00:42:02.11\00:42:03.71 I was struggling with all of them, 00:42:03.74\00:42:05.01 all of the above. I was struggling with the fact 00:42:05.04\00:42:08.02 that I killed somebody and I was struggling 00:42:08.05\00:42:10.69 with the fact that the church is gonna suffer 00:42:10.72\00:42:12.96 because of me. And God's name is gonna be, 00:42:12.99\00:42:15.45 I don't know how to say it in English. Yeah. 00:42:15.48\00:42:20.82 Misrepresented or. Well we say dragged in the mud. 00:42:20.85\00:42:24.80 Thank you, dragged in the mud. Yeah. 00:42:24.83\00:42:28.15 And so I prayed for all of the above and 00:42:28.18\00:42:30.28 basically I said God, just find a way that the 00:42:30.31\00:42:34.17 church is not gonna be criticized over the news, 00:42:34.20\00:42:37.44 over the papers over the, you know. 00:42:37.47\00:42:39.43 And is not gonna effect the church and your 00:42:39.46\00:42:41.66 name will not be you know you will work in 00:42:41.69\00:42:43.79 this area. And basically I pleaded with God 00:42:43.82\00:42:49.04 and prayed the whole night, eternally 00:42:49.07\00:42:53.38 prayed hard. I remember one more time I prayed 00:42:53.41\00:42:55.70 that when my son had an accident just two years 00:42:55.73\00:42:58.15 ago, the same you know. So I actually, excuse me. 00:42:58.18\00:43:02.05 My wife and I prayed the whole night until morning. 00:43:02.08\00:43:05.46 And in the morning I went back to hospital. 00:43:05.49\00:43:09.76 And he was in the bed, sitting and eating. 00:43:12.28\00:43:17.75 And doctors were talking that when 00:43:17.78\00:43:21.93 the man came in the morning found him 00:43:21.96\00:43:24.92 sitting on that cold table, concrete table 00:43:24.95\00:43:27.95 and the guys started to run and called the others. 00:43:27.98\00:43:30.74 They came and they decided that he had 00:43:30.77\00:43:36.30 clinical death or a very deep coma, 00:43:36.33\00:43:39.95 I don't know how you call it, I don't what that 00:43:39.98\00:43:41.58 is but anyway that he was not totally dead. 00:43:41.61\00:43:44.40 But the problem they had was the x-ray. 00:43:44.43\00:43:48.31 They would analyze the yesterday x-ray, 00:43:48.34\00:43:51.02 and today's x-ray. X-ray yes, yes. 00:43:51.05\00:43:53.35 And they would say you can see it here, 00:43:53.38\00:43:55.82 brain damage and hemorrhage. 00:43:55.85\00:43:58.06 There is no brain damage here. 00:43:58.09\00:44:00.19 Broken spine, there is no broken spine here. 00:44:00.22\00:44:03.13 Broken lung and hemorrhage, 00:44:03.16\00:44:05.87 there is no broken lung and hemorrhage here. 00:44:05.90\00:44:08.12 Yet his bones were still broken, the hand, 00:44:08.15\00:44:11.20 hip, shoulder and leg. Yes. But the life 00:44:11.23\00:44:15.04 threatening serious stuff was gone. 00:44:15.07\00:44:17.55 Moreover. Yes. The big problem was that 00:44:17.58\00:44:20.94 they could not explain this. He could never talk 00:44:20.97\00:44:24.20 before, he was a. He was a mute, 00:44:24.23\00:44:29.97 he could not speak. He did speak but 00:44:30.00\00:44:32.10 he was a, I forgot the name when you say. 00:44:32.13\00:44:33.98 But, but, but, but, you know when you repeat, 00:44:34.01\00:44:37.29 oh he stuttered. Stuttered. Stuttered, yes. 00:44:37.32\00:44:40.04 Thank you. The word didn't come to me. 00:44:40.07\00:44:42.45 He was a stutterer. And even the word that 00:44:42.48\00:44:45.03 he said they were not clear. Yes. 00:44:45.06\00:44:48.55 You could not make sense. 00:44:48.58\00:44:49.61 You could not understand him. 00:44:49.64\00:44:51.13 He was speaking clear and nice. 00:44:51.16\00:44:53.77 So God made him better than before. 00:44:53.80\00:44:57.04 Glory to God. Not only did the Lord repair him, 00:44:57.70\00:45:00.16 He improved him. Praise God. 00:45:00.19\00:45:03.66 The whole town, I mean the news went so fast. 00:45:03.69\00:45:09.84 I'm sure. We did evangelism, 00:45:09.87\00:45:12.54 the church was packed. 44 people got baptized. 00:45:12.57\00:45:16.78 Glory to God. The whole town was talking, 00:45:16.81\00:45:20.44 I remember it was a crisis you could 00:45:20.47\00:45:22.07 not find anything. I went to the grocery store; 00:45:22.10\00:45:24.80 I was looking for oil to cook for canola 00:45:24.83\00:45:27.94 vegetable oil. And they had no oil and 00:45:27.97\00:45:30.59 I remember the lady from the cashier like, 00:45:30.62\00:45:33.10 she called the manager. I said call her by name 00:45:33.13\00:45:36.72 I don't remember the name and I said 00:45:36.75\00:45:37.85 can you get for the Adventist pastor some 00:45:37.88\00:45:39.77 oil from the back from the storage that 00:45:39.80\00:45:41.64 we have for ourselves. He can pray for you too, 00:45:41.67\00:45:44.46 you know. God truly glorified himself in 00:45:44.49\00:45:50.16 that incident. That's the kind of thing, 00:45:50.19\00:45:53.47 the kind of empirical evidence that justifies 00:45:53.50\00:45:56.47 logic, that's a miracle. You got a brain 00:45:56.50\00:45:59.07 hemorrhage the night before, the next 00:45:59.10\00:46:00.85 morning it is gone. I cannot help but say this, 00:46:00.88\00:46:03.84 the same God that's split the sea before, 00:46:03.87\00:46:07.11 yes, and did so many miracles in the Bible. 00:46:07.14\00:46:09.42 He never changed. No. And He is here to work to us, 00:46:09.45\00:46:14.44 to use us, to help us. Yes. And many times 00:46:14.47\00:46:18.05 we don't even have the courage to ask more than 00:46:18.08\00:46:20.51 we can do ourselves. Very true. 00:46:20.54\00:46:23.47 And many times we don't trust Him enough and. 00:46:23.50\00:46:25.50 Is like the paragraph that says that 00:46:25.53\00:46:27.66 we should ask him big things, not small things. 00:46:27.69\00:46:30.01 Yes, yes, and this is a big thing, 00:46:30.04\00:46:31.52 this is a big thing. And I think, the focus 00:46:31.55\00:46:33.86 of your prayer was Lord glorify your name, 00:46:33.89\00:46:36.30 just glorify your name. You know show yourself 00:46:36.33\00:46:41.06 powerful in these things and of course 00:46:41.09\00:46:42.40 when you ask that pray, that's the kind 00:46:42.43\00:46:44.13 of prayer that God's got to answer for 00:46:44.16\00:46:46.32 His own glory. What a powerful, you know 00:46:46.35\00:46:48.73 I've read that story. Initially I ran across 00:46:48.76\00:46:51.35 it again today in preparing for the show. 00:46:51.38\00:46:53.89 And every time it sends chills up and 00:46:53.92\00:46:57.21 down my spine. It just, it makes you so humble 00:46:57.24\00:47:01.00 that we serve a God who will go to those lengths. 00:47:01.03\00:47:04.30 This kid was gone. And God brought him back 00:47:04.33\00:47:09.02 and improved his speech. What a wonderful, 00:47:09.05\00:47:11.45 powerful witness, testimony for the church 00:47:11.48\00:47:14.52 and for the love of the Lord. 00:47:14.55\00:47:15.52 And of course 44 baptisms, 00:47:15.53\00:47:17.25 that's proof enough, powerful. 00:47:17.28\00:47:20.17 I've read this book twice. Once quite a bit ago 00:47:20.20\00:47:25.20 and sort of skimmed through it today. 00:47:25.23\00:47:28.04 Tell me a story that's not in the book. 00:47:28.07\00:47:31.45 Because I don't think that are happening 00:47:31.48\00:47:32.72 even to this day but outside, because this 00:47:32.75\00:47:35.41 book is one point in your life. Your life goes on, 00:47:35.44\00:47:38.06 you're pastoring today, successfully pastoring 00:47:38.09\00:47:41.38 something that's not in the book. 00:47:41.41\00:47:43.34 There are several of them, I want to give 00:47:43.37\00:47:47.49 one that is a little funny about our grand caravan, 00:47:47.52\00:47:51.13 about our car. And I remember we decided 00:47:51.16\00:47:56.84 that we're not gonna ask God for anything 00:47:56.87\00:47:58.28 that you don't use for him. Yes. 00:47:58.31\00:48:00.07 So, if we would buy a car we would pray 00:48:00.10\00:48:03.27 that we would use that car primarily for God 00:48:03.30\00:48:07.08 and then for ourselves. And if we would get a 00:48:07.11\00:48:09.74 house, we'd use the house first for God and 00:48:09.77\00:48:13.46 we will never ask God for anything that 00:48:13.49\00:48:14.82 we cannot use for him. And for instance 00:48:14.85\00:48:17.44 we got our first furniture, church members would 00:48:17.47\00:48:20.56 come over, they would come with children, 00:48:20.59\00:48:21.90 children would jump on the new couch. 00:48:21.93\00:48:23.82 I would get my ears red, my wife would know 00:48:23.85\00:48:27.33 when my ears are red it means I'm tense. 00:48:27.36\00:48:29.46 So, she would call me in the kitchen and 00:48:29.49\00:48:32.64 she will say calm down. And I will say don't 00:48:32.67\00:48:35.55 you see the children. They jump with the 00:48:35.58\00:48:38.06 shoes on, on our new couch. Yes. 00:48:38.09\00:48:40.09 And my wife would say didn't we pray that 00:48:40.12\00:48:42.40 our primary use would be for God. 00:48:42.43\00:48:45.23 Aren't these children more important 00:48:45.26\00:48:46.88 than our couch? Don't you want to gain their 00:48:46.91\00:48:50.31 friendship and to save them and their parents 00:48:50.34\00:48:52.83 more than to save your couch? 00:48:52.86\00:48:54.56 And I would say honey, you are right. 00:48:54.59\00:48:57.21 So my ears would cool down. I would go back 00:48:57.24\00:49:00.45 to the living room and just pretend I don't see it. 00:49:00.48\00:49:04.64 And in fact some of the parents mentioned 00:49:04.67\00:49:06.48 that and they said we cannot believe 00:49:06.51\00:49:08.00 how much you love our children, 00:49:08.03\00:49:09.03 how patient you are? They didn't know 00:49:09.06\00:49:11.45 the story about, anyway. The same with the car, 00:49:11.48\00:49:15.23 we got a Dodge Grand Caravan that we pray, 00:49:15.26\00:49:20.60 we use it for God. We basically used it more 00:49:20.63\00:49:23.68 for my wife's job. Not much for the church. 00:49:23.71\00:49:27.10 And somehow the transmission broke, 00:49:27.13\00:49:30.76 we got a second hand transmission, 00:49:30.79\00:49:34.14 paid the labor, paid the transmission, 00:49:34.17\00:49:36.47 got it fixed, just three months later it broke 00:49:36.50\00:49:41.34 again. I hated the car. I mean who wants 00:49:41.37\00:49:45.74 to spend so much money; if I sold the car 00:49:45.77\00:49:48.21 I would not recover that money. Sure. 00:49:48.24\00:49:49.80 We got the new transmission again, 00:49:49.83\00:49:52.09 second hand, paid the labor again, fixed it again 00:49:52.12\00:49:56.11 and I said I'm not gonna use the car again. Yes. 00:49:56.14\00:49:58.59 Put it for a sale. Hopefully somebody is gonna 00:49:58.62\00:50:00.99 buy it. Yes, yes, yes. And I started to pray, 00:50:01.02\00:50:03.30 God help me sell the car, help me sell the car. 00:50:03.33\00:50:06.00 Nobody called like everybody knew that 00:50:06.03\00:50:09.07 my car has a bad transmission. 00:50:09.10\00:50:10.62 Nobody called. After two months, 00:50:10.65\00:50:12.69 put it in the newspaper, put it on the cable, 00:50:12.72\00:50:15.20 on Craigslist, put even on the Windshield 00:50:15.23\00:50:19.14 a paper that is for sale. Yeah. Lower the price, 00:50:19.17\00:50:21.60 nobody called. I got so upset and I remember 00:50:21.63\00:50:28.13 coming to my mind what my father said that 00:50:28.16\00:50:31.40 whatever is not for God should not even exist 00:50:31.43\00:50:35.21 in our life, that we have no reason to live, 00:50:35.24\00:50:38.11 if we don't live for God. And it came in my 00:50:38.14\00:50:40.82 mind you want to sell the van but you do 00:50:40.85\00:50:44.41 it for yourself. So I was driving the van 00:50:44.44\00:50:47.98 from Beloit to Janesville Wisconsin. 00:50:48.01\00:50:50.53 Started to pray a different prayer. 00:50:50.56\00:50:53.15 I said God I'm not gonna ask you to sell the van. 00:50:53.18\00:50:55.46 I'm gonna ask you one of the two things. 00:50:55.49\00:50:57.64 If it sells give it to somebody who is 00:50:57.67\00:51:01.87 gonna use itss. for you. Yes. If it doesn't 00:51:01.90\00:51:03.84 help me from now on to use it for you first 00:51:03.87\00:51:06.48 and then for ourselves. Yes. I finished the prayer. 00:51:06.51\00:51:09.98 15 to 20 seconds my cell phone ringed. 00:51:10.01\00:51:12.85 It was one of my church members, 00:51:12.88\00:51:15.17 he said pastor do you still have that van, 00:51:15.20\00:51:18.36 I said yes I do. And she says I wanna buy 00:51:18.39\00:51:21.38 the van I say well you know that I had some 00:51:21.41\00:51:24.40 transmission problems. Yeah, I know, I know, 00:51:24.43\00:51:26.69 don't worry about it. I said why would you 00:51:26.72\00:51:28.88 buy the van, and she said I want to drive 00:51:28.91\00:51:31.14 people to evangelism who don't have transportation. 00:51:31.17\00:51:33.86 Oh praise God. And she had Dodge Neon, 00:51:33.89\00:51:36.41 that was a small car. Yes, yes. 00:51:36.44\00:51:38.05 So there was no room in my care I wanna drive 00:51:38.08\00:51:39.63 children to school. So I wanna use it for God 00:51:39.66\00:51:42.12 and I need a van. Yes. And she said how much 00:51:42.15\00:51:45.41 you want; I said well that's the price, 00:51:45.44\00:51:47.01 but I said how much you have? And she said 00:51:47.04\00:51:49.44 I have this money and that was kind of half 00:51:49.47\00:51:51.38 of my price. But I say listen pay whatever 00:51:51.41\00:51:56.08 you have that will be enough. She was happy, 00:51:56.11\00:51:58.80 and I trusted the Lord, I was happy with it. 00:51:58.83\00:52:01.92 Many years after the car didn't break again; 00:52:01.95\00:52:07.42 the car kept going and going. 00:52:07.45\00:52:10.69 Because it was in Lord's hands now, 00:52:10.72\00:52:14.44 so it didn't break down again. Praise God. 00:52:14.47\00:52:17.04 That is a fabulous story. I wanted, 00:52:17.07\00:52:21.07 before our time gets away, I'm looking at the 00:52:21.10\00:52:22.69 clock and we're slipping away. You have talked 00:52:22.72\00:52:25.16 a number of times about your wife. 00:52:25.19\00:52:27.35 Tell me a little about, she must been a woman 00:52:27.93\00:52:29.49 of great faith, how did you meet her? 00:52:29.52\00:52:31.08 This is a long story. I put my eyes on her 00:52:31.11\00:52:35.88 when she was 3 years old and I was 6 years old. 00:52:35.91\00:52:37.97 Okay. That's a good early start. 00:52:38.00\00:52:41.85 And I said I like her, and I would like 00:52:41.88\00:52:44.07 to marry her. And basically my sister 00:52:44.10\00:52:47.92 would say you don't know what you talk, 00:52:47.95\00:52:49.68 you are gonna change your mind many times. 00:52:49.71\00:52:51.70 Yes. Yes. Well, I kept watching her and 00:52:51.73\00:52:56.15 worrying about; I don't remember, sophomore, 00:52:56.18\00:53:03.54 whatever, in high school I started to talk to her. 00:53:03.57\00:53:06.28 And I remember one time I had a handkerchief 00:53:06.31\00:53:09.85 that I used some spray like Giorgio Armani 00:53:09.88\00:53:12.62 that I didn't use, I kept just for her. 00:53:12.65\00:53:14.80 I noticed her crying and I just gave her the 00:53:14.83\00:53:16.88 handkerchief, somehow got her attention. 00:53:16.91\00:53:19.47 Smooth guy. But this is what happened, I remember. 00:53:19.50\00:53:23.70 I would purposely when she would go to school 00:53:25.30\00:53:27.52 I would make sure that I go in the same time, 00:53:27.55\00:53:29.27 so we would walk together to school. Okay. 00:53:29.30\00:53:31.90 And I started to talk to her about my experience 00:53:31.93\00:53:33.89 with God and I would say what do you study. 00:53:33.92\00:53:37.15 And she would say I don't study though 00:53:37.18\00:53:39.16 she would go to church. And I would tell her 00:53:39.19\00:53:40.92 what I study. The books from the spirit of 00:53:40.95\00:53:43.61 prophesy, the Bible and what God is doing for me 00:53:43.64\00:53:46.56 and how God works in my life, in father's life. 00:53:46.59\00:53:49.29 And she would listen and we got closer 00:53:49.32\00:53:52.16 and closer friends to the point that 00:53:52.19\00:53:54.07 we started to meet and study and pray together. 00:53:54.10\00:53:56.56 Praise God. And she started to study alone 00:53:56.59\00:53:59.11 and do it, everyone at his house study at the same 00:53:59.14\00:54:02.01 we will wake up at 5:30, pray in the same time, 00:54:02.04\00:54:04.69 study in the same time. Same books, same chapters. 00:54:04.72\00:54:07.01 And then we would meet in the garden of the school 00:54:07.04\00:54:10.50 and share our thoughts. Praise God. 00:54:10.53\00:54:12.92 Now Pavel, I wanna stop you because as good as 00:54:12.95\00:54:15.52 this story is I want to get your contact 00:54:15.55\00:54:16.89 information up, because again you heard this 00:54:16.92\00:54:20.53 wonderful story. And I do give you an 00:55:42.50\00:55:44.43 A. Valentine, and Evangeline and Janet 00:55:44.46\00:55:48.50 and Mary and Rose and Sharon and Betty 00:55:48.53\00:55:54.52 and Bessie and Donna and no name, 00:55:54.55\00:55:59.31 and Ann and no name and no name, 00:55:59.34\00:56:02.17 and no name, and Marianne. 00:56:02.20\00:56:04.03 You all get an A on your homework assignment. 00:56:04.06\00:56:06.70 The answer is of course when God steps in 00:56:06.73\00:56:10.39 and does something outside of time and space 00:56:10.42\00:56:12.37 and the natural order of things, that's a miracle. 00:56:12.40\00:56:14.46 The good thing to know is that we serve a God 00:56:14.49\00:56:17.21 who is as much in the miracle working 00:56:17.24\00:56:19.25 business today, tonight, right now as 00:56:19.28\00:56:22.16 He ever was. God still works miracles in the 00:56:22.19\00:56:25.88 lives of men and women. 00:56:25.91\00:56:27.59 Pavel Goia is case in point. There are so 00:56:27.62\00:56:30.83 many stories, he's got a list here of miracles 00:56:30.86\00:56:33.83 that is as long as your arm. 00:56:33.86\00:56:35.47 We could spend hours talking about the miracles 00:56:35.50\00:56:37.69 of God. But these are not just the miracles of 00:56:37.72\00:56:40.51 one man, these are, we serve a God 00:56:40.54\00:56:43.78 who is interested in our salvation and glorifying 00:56:43.81\00:56:46.67 His name. And when you surrender yourself 00:56:46.70\00:56:49.19 to him, I still think the greatest miracle is 00:56:49.22\00:56:51.79 a person whose life turned from old to new, 00:56:51.82\00:56:55.22 who puts his life in the hands of God and 00:56:55.25\00:56:57.22 becomes a brand new preacher, 00:56:57.25\00:56:58.34 that is a great miracle. Our time is fast slipped 00:56:58.37\00:57:00.66 into eternity, allow me please in closing to 00:57:00.69\00:57:03.15 wish you grace and peace through our Lord 00:57:03.18\00:57:05.36 and Savior Jesus Christ, we will see you again 00:57:05.39\00:57:06.68 soon, bye, bye and God Bless. 00:57:06.71\00:57:08.64
