00:01 I want to spend my life
00:07 Mending broken people 00:12 I want to spend my life 00:18 Removing pain 00:23 Lord, let my words 00:29 Heal a heart that hurts 00:34 I want to spend my life 00:40 Mending broken people 00:45 I want to spend my life 00:51 Mending broken people 01:07 Hello, and we welcome you 01:08 to a very, very special 3ABN today program. 01:13 This is going to be a fun time 01:15 that we're gonna spend together. 01:16 My name is CA Murray and allow me once again to thank you 01:19 for sharing just a little of your 01:21 no doubt busy day with us, 01:22 to thank you for your love, your prayers, 01:24 you consistent support 01:26 of Three Angels Broadcasting Network. 01:27 Thank you for all of the years, 01:29 32 plus now that you have stood with us 01:32 as we have attempted to exercise our franchise 01:35 dare I say. 01:36 The call of God to take the gospel 01:38 to every corner of this inhabited world, 01:41 and so thank you for joining with us 01:43 I'm in a company of our Pastor John Lomacang... 01:45 Good to be here... 01:46 Of the lady Yvonne Lewis, the director of D2D, 01:48 Dare to Dream Network. All right. 01:50 I am CA Murray and our leader and friend Mr. Danny Shelton. 01:54 Danny, good to have you here, you're looking good, man. 01:56 Oh, thank you, it's good to be here. 01:57 Well, I tell you what, for an old man 01:58 I'm still on my feet. Praise the Lord. 02:00 Going forward so I'm happy about it, you know. 02:02 Everyday is a good one, right? 02:04 That's right. 02:05 We spend more years we always say 02:07 then we're living on borrowed times, 02:08 so you got to appreciate that for sure. 02:10 But right now I feel good, I'm blessed. 02:12 How about you at home? I hope you're blessed. 02:15 Doesn't mean you have to feel great 02:16 or be in the best, everything's going your way, 02:18 just means you're blessed, 02:20 you've read the back of the book. 02:21 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb 02:23 and the word of their testimony. 02:25 Amen. 02:26 And so if you have given your life 02:28 to the Lord Jesus Christ, 02:30 you've confessed your sins, 02:31 he's faithful and just to forgive you from sins, 02:34 all of your sins not part of them, 02:36 all of your sins and cleanse from all unrighteousness. 02:40 So people talk about being perfect, 02:42 none of us can be perfect. 02:44 Only through Jesus Christ that through his shed blood 02:48 that's frail human agents can get to the point 02:51 that God working in us and through us can prepare us 02:54 for eternity, so right now all we're doing each and every one 02:58 of us supposedly, hopefully that we're working on ourselves 03:03 because you can't help somebody else if you... 03:05 Right, if you can't help yourself. 03:08 So our responsibility, our privilege is 03:11 to tell the world about a soon coming savior. 03:14 How better to do it than through a project 03:17 like we're getting ready to talk about Calvary. 03:20 We're going to talk about Calvary. 03:22 And what it means to the human race, 03:24 absolutely incredible. 03:26 Let me just say something to you, said in the sub context 03:28 because we're going right to the punch line 03:29 which is we're going to talk about the Calvary project, 03:32 but I guess as part of the natural evolution 03:35 of the ministry around about 2009 or 10, 03:38 God sort of impressed you 03:39 to lets go heavily into music as a way to share the gospel. 03:44 And we got together and we, 03:45 we put some songs together and of course the very first one 03:47 was the Pillars, 03:49 and as I mentioned to you. 03:51 I just got back from the Philippines 03:52 and there in the Philippines for the people that were coming 03:55 in early to the meetings, 03:56 I look up on the screen and what's there? 03:58 Yeah, Pillars music. 03:59 Yeah, Pillars music. 04:01 And some of the kids' music from the very first project. 04:03 Okay. Beautiful world. 04:05 So, this music has impacted the world, 04:08 it has touched the world. 04:10 It has gone literally around the world 04:12 and 3ABN has been a blessing through its music ministry 04:15 in addition to its preaching and teaching ministry 04:17 through what God has pushed you into or led you into, 04:20 little better term, 04:22 to do the music and it's been a blessing. 04:24 And this, the newest one is just another step 04:27 in the evolution of our music. 04:28 Absolutely, it's been, it's actually easy to do because 04:31 with all of you here who are singers and musicians. 04:35 You also see, see the beauty I'm going to call it ministry 04:41 and music. 04:42 John you you've been singing since old Shep was a pup. 04:45 Wow. 04:48 It sounds like a long time. 04:49 Yeah, he's been a pup for a long time. 04:50 That's a hillbilly. That's a hillbilly term but... 04:53 You have seen the results of people coming to the Lord 04:57 through music just like when you're preaching, right. 04:59 Yeah, music is a powerful tool, 05:01 I mean you just mentioned a moment, 05:02 you can have a full part, 05:03 you said the process of Calvary, 05:05 Calvary, there is a process of Calvary. 05:07 And the process of Calvary is communicated 05:09 through the songs on this project 05:11 because there's a process to the cross. 05:13 There's a process at the cross. 05:16 There's a process after the cross. 05:17 Sure. 05:18 And we saw the gospel communicated through 05:20 the Calvary project, and we've seen, you know, 05:23 message and music go together, and there are times when 05:25 the message just kind of lays the foundation, 05:28 the music softens the heart and combined together. 05:31 It allows the gospel to enter the heart and changes 05:34 come into people's lives. 05:35 So when you talk about the Calvary project, 05:38 I like to include the Calvary process. 05:40 All right. 05:42 Through that project people see 05:43 and understand what happened in Calvary 05:46 or not just the fact that Jesus died. 05:48 You know, we always say, "Well, Jesus died for me." 05:51 Well, a lot of people were crucified 05:53 but Jesus rose for us. 05:54 Okay. 05:55 And so that we could have this newness of life, 05:57 and I like the fact you said that none of us is perfect. 06:00 Well, the Calvary process is not a process of perfection 06:04 only in Christ. 06:05 Yeah. 06:07 You know, he's the perfect Lamb. 06:08 Yeah, it's perfecting, pastor, 06:09 you know the process is perfecting. 06:11 So exactly, so Christ is the perfect one, 06:15 we are the ones being perfected, 06:17 and so that's what that project talks about. 06:19 Beautiful. 06:20 You know, we introduced Yvonne years ago, 06:22 we were doing a production at Northeastern Conference 06:25 and no less than berry black, talk about old Shep was a pup. 06:29 He said, well, Yvonne, she is beautiful 06:30 and she looks so young he said, 06:32 "But Yvonne's been around a lot." 06:34 I know what... 06:36 I mean what would possess him to say that. 06:39 I did not return, I didn't render evil for evil. 06:42 No, you did not. No, I did not. 06:43 That's good. She's smart and didn't speak. 06:45 Well, speaking of that, this wonderful woman, 06:47 she would know better than maybe even the rest of us 06:49 because the heights that you really attained in the secular 06:53 music industry, a number of gold and platinum records 06:57 and all of that, 06:58 but you said it many times publicly to us here, 07:02 all of us personally that there is no music like gospel music, 07:05 like music uplifting Jesus Christ. 07:08 It really, nothing compares to that, 07:10 and you know I was thinking as we would, 07:12 as you guys were talking about music and its impact, 07:17 you can... 07:19 When I would do a jingle, forget the jingle 07:21 when I walked out of the room. Okay. 07:22 I mean you just don't, I didn't file, 07:25 I didn't keep them in my head, 07:27 but these songs you find yourself humming these songs, 07:30 you find yourself singing these songs 07:32 because music and spiritual music just penetrates the soul. 07:37 So for me there's no comparison between singing about, 07:41 you know, Folgers coffee versus singing about 07:45 the water of life, 07:46 you know of Jesus, I think it's just, 07:48 there's no comparison and these, 07:51 these songs get to your spirit, they get to your heart. 07:54 They are beautiful songs. Praise the Lord. 07:56 Well, that's one of the things I wanted to talk about. 07:59 We're trying to pick out song and some of them 08:02 are newly written 08:03 and especially written for this project. 08:05 But we're trying to pick out songs that will be a blessing 08:08 to you, but the reason that we feel like they'll be a blessing 08:12 to you because they first was a blessing to us. 08:14 Well said. 08:15 We picked through them. 08:17 You say wow, this song is incredible, 08:18 and maybe it's a song like Reggie did and "At to Cross" 08:21 an older song with a little different arrangement... 08:24 Yes, yes. 08:25 You know, "Heaven came down and glory filled my soul," 08:27 brand new song that Lanny Wolfe wrote, 08:30 "Praise his holy name" that you to do with Aeolian so, 08:34 I mean honestly we did the Pillars 08:37 and we did like a Pillar's hymns I think in 2010. 08:40 Then later we did "Hallelujah, we're home at last" 08:43 a couple years ago with Larry Goss. 08:45 And I thought to myself, I don't know if we can ever 08:48 do another project that could keep up with these 08:52 and I was really very hesitant 08:54 because you don't want to do something you say, 08:55 well, this is a let down. 08:57 But the Lord as we prayed about it 08:59 and got together with brother Lanny Wolfe, 09:01 got together with Kris, Kris Wilkinson 09:03 and Larry has been and got together 09:07 with of course Reggie Smith and all of you, 09:09 and all of a sudden we pray about it. 09:11 We said, let's start thinking about it, 09:12 and the Lord gave us some new songs 09:15 and gave Lanny some new songs, 09:16 and I mean really I listen to this. 09:18 And tears have come down my eyes 09:20 on these songs because they are so beautiful 09:23 because they... 09:25 every song talks about the cross of Calvary. 09:27 Amen. 09:28 Ellen White actually has a quote 09:30 for those who are Adventist and she said, 09:32 she actually says this, 09:34 "The way you judge a song or the way we look at a song 09:37 if it's effective or not, she says, 09:40 "Every song should talk about the cross of Calvary." 09:43 Amen. 09:45 Every song, and so we can say on air every song talks about 09:48 the cross of Calvary, so what a blessing to do this. 09:51 Let's talk a little bit about some of the songs, 09:53 John you and CA, what, you kind of shared a song 09:58 and then of course you did some others with a quartet. 10:00 Yeah, the one "Were you there when they crucified my Lord." 10:04 That, that in itself is a song, it's been around a bit, 10:07 but every time you go back, 10:09 the lyrics itself take you back to that point. 10:13 This song has a satire in its tone. 10:18 It takes you to a great place were you there, 10:22 and it takes you to a place of mourning almost in the song. 10:26 But then it doesn't leave you there. 10:28 It takes you to the reality of what Jesus did, 10:30 and you know, we cannot underestimate what Jesus did. 10:33 A lot of times people say, 10:34 "Well, I'm so glad Jesus died for me 10:36 " but then that's just the minimal application 10:39 of what he did. 10:40 Were you there when they crucified my Lord, 10:43 where you there when they nailed him to the tree. 10:46 And we think of that as well, you know, 10:47 crucifixion, people were crucified, 10:49 people died but then were you there 10:51 when he rose from the grave. 10:54 Nobody ever rose up from the grave. 10:55 Okay. Yeah. 10:56 All right. 10:58 See so, the crucifixion process which was started actually 10:59 historically by the Medes and the Persians. 11:02 The Romans adopted it and studied it to extract 11:04 from it the most pain for its victims. 11:08 They even crucified them differently. 11:10 They chose to put their hands above the wood 11:13 so that it will stretch the extremities 11:14 so that you couldn't breath. 11:16 So when they nailed his feet, they nailed it in such a place 11:19 where the nerve would meet. 11:21 So he had to push himself up to breath. 11:23 And it was a constant experience of pain and so, 11:27 but to think that he went through all that, 11:28 he was led as a lamb to the slaughter, 11:30 yet he opened not his mouth and so that, 11:34 that song in itself is a part of the process of Calvary, 11:40 just in the project of Calvary. 11:42 But it continues to build and build and build and build, 11:46 and many of the glorious songs, that one that really gets me 11:49 is the one that Lanny Wolfe and Beethoven co-wrote. 11:53 Oh, and Yvonne sings. 11:55 Beethoven co-wrote with Lanny Wolfe. 11:58 They made a contract a few centuries apart. 12:00 Yeah. 12:01 Explain that please? 12:03 But Beethoven that song is the song, 12:04 the moment you hear it, 12:06 it just wow, that's that Beethoven symphony. 12:10 And then to take it and put the words of the cross to it. 12:14 Yes. 12:15 What are some of the lyrics of that? 12:17 Praise the Lord. You praise his holy name. 12:21 From whom all blessings flow for he has washed, 12:25 and made me white as snow. 12:27 I'm redeemed from all my sin and shame. 12:31 And then the Aeolians who put the found... 12:35 You know this kind of supportive vocal. 12:37 But then Yvonne here did not shy away 12:41 from just speaking to the whole power of that song 12:44 and it just takes you to a glorious place. 12:46 Tell us the about the Aeolians that you got to do the, 12:50 the background choir for the song. 12:52 Well, so exciting because the Oakwood University Aeolians 12:57 are like just who are we now. 13:00 And have been so for 50 plus years. 13:02 Yes, were you in the Aeolians at Oakwood? 13:04 No, I didn't. You weren't, were you? 13:06 No, I didn't, actually I never sang when I went to Oakwood. 13:08 You, you're kidding. 13:10 Never sang a song at Oakwood when I was there. 13:12 They don't even know you could sing. 13:13 Well, at that time I was just coming out 13:15 of my disc jockey world. 13:16 Oh, okay, okay. 13:17 I was still going over earth, wind and fire. 13:19 Oh, okay, okay. 13:20 And my boom box taken by the dean. 13:21 Have mercy. Have mercy. 13:24 Well, I was in the Aeolians at Oakwood and it to me... 13:28 I mean it was a great experience 13:30 that you get to travel and do all the stuff 13:32 and so too one day Danny and I were talking 13:38 and he said, "Wow. 13:39 It would be great to have the Aeolians singing 13:44 on praise his holy name." 13:45 I thought, wow, that is an incredible, 13:49 incredible suggestion so. 13:53 I don't know I guess Reggie got in touch with the Aeolians, 13:56 with the manager of the Aeolians. 13:57 Actually I talked to him I think first 13:59 and then Reggie talked to him, 14:01 and the Aeolians came to the studio, 14:04 and they were ultra professional. 14:07 They are. 14:09 Ultra professional, I mean they came in, 14:11 they want like a lot of times singers will talk in between 14:16 the songs and things like, you know, between them, 14:20 between the takes, you know, between like segments, 14:22 different segments, and while you're waiting 14:24 for the next segment, you talk, they were quiet, 14:27 there were just ultra professional in their, 14:30 their conductor Brother Ferdinand, 14:33 Jason Ferdinand just did an outstanding job. 14:36 So it was a, it was a wonderful blessing 14:38 and they sound amazing. 14:40 I hope you've heard them, they sound amazing. 14:43 We didn't even have to get on them about taking their 14:45 cell phones in and trying to text in between... 14:47 That's right. 14:49 In between like we do, like we do the professional 14:51 ones that make their living at... 14:52 That's true. 14:54 You got to put your phones out here, you know they, 14:56 and what beautiful voices and incredible singers. 14:59 And they're unison, sounds like one voice. 15:01 Yes. 15:03 You know you can tell when, when a group is seasoned. 15:06 They're in unison just sounds like one voice. 15:08 They just sound amazing. It was a wonderful experience. 15:12 Praise his holy name we left it for last because it, 15:15 the build up on it. 15:16 And I want to say just a little bit Kris Wilkinson, 15:20 she arranged the Pillars project 15:22 and the Pillars Hymns project 15:24 and Lanny Wolfe did the hallelujah, I'm sorry, 15:27 Larry Goss did the hallelujah, we're home at last, 15:32 again this woman has done movies, 15:34 I mean she's done work for stars, she does country music, 15:37 Christmas all of this, but I've worked with her 15:40 almost 35 years, I can't believe how long. 15:43 We've been working together in Nashville. 15:44 What a wonderful lady and her husband Larry 15:47 are great friends and what a great arranger. 15:49 So when she took this, you knew 15:51 it was going to be good and brought in an orchestra. 15:54 I mean it, we have the singers and it's just we give God 15:59 the honor and glory and the praise 16:00 but I really believe that Christians 16:03 shouldn't put out anything less than world does. 16:05 Amen. 16:06 Because the world is going to try to listen 16:09 to quality before they, they, you know anything else like, 16:12 well, how good, 16:13 it doesn't make any difference what you're saying or preaching 16:16 or singing if it's not good quality. 16:19 They are tuned to, wow, this got to look good 16:21 and got to sound good. 16:22 So, but we have something that the world doesn't have. 16:25 We have a message that means something 16:28 that gives opportunity for eternal life. 16:32 And so in the world all the songs you san as you said, 16:34 Yvonne, they were good, they made you a lot of money 16:36 at the time but they didn't, 16:38 weren't leading people to Christ. 16:40 That's right. 16:41 So in order to get this type of group together 16:43 with Reggie and a choir and all these professionals 16:46 who are Christians and the people who we are working with, 16:49 they are Christian people, wonderful people, 16:52 and then to put out music 16:53 that we already are seeing the effects of it 16:56 around the world and what a blessing it is. 16:59 And thank you for your prayers and your support 17:03 and financial support, 17:04 because when we invest in these, 17:05 the beauty of the music which unlike some other things, 17:09 people will purchase the music, they give love gifts, 17:12 and that will really bring in, 17:14 last time it brought in a lot of, 17:17 quite a bit more money than it took to produce this one. 17:20 So it's like once you do it, then the time these sell 17:23 for a year or so, now you've got enough money 17:25 so we're not having to keep getting new money, 17:28 and that's a real blessing to be able to do it. 17:30 But some of the songs on here we've got At Calvary, 17:33 Love found a way, which Lanny Wolfe and Melody wrote 17:37 Precious Blood was a Lanny Wolfe 17:40 and Joy Gardner sings 17:41 on that with Melody Gethsemane that Lanny and I wrote, 17:45 Reggie sings it Calvary says love to me, 17:48 Ladye Love Smith does that one. 17:50 Then we got Heaven came down, It was Love, 17:54 a song that we co-wrote, then At the Cross, 17:57 Precious Lamb of God with Lanny Wolfe, 17:59 I Will Glory in the cross with Dottie Rambo, 18:01 beautiful song, and we do the hymns medley. 18:05 Tammy Chance and Melody and I think several others, 18:07 John you and CA you're on part of that. 18:11 Then I'll never know is a beautiful song that Reggie 18:13 and Ladye wrote for this project. 18:16 And then of course, we end 13 songs on here praise 18:18 his holy name. 18:20 The DVD is just finished. 18:22 I mean literally after all this time several months 18:25 but incredible DVD, 18:26 and I can't say enough about our production. 18:29 We did it at spring camp meeting 18:31 and the LED lights behind when the music is up 18:34 and you see Jesus kneeling in Gethsemane, 18:37 and you know, you see this the baby being born, 18:40 I mean and been in a manger 18:43 when you're singing those words coming up. 18:46 It just makes it so... 18:48 bring that to the front of your mind and so real... 18:50 Can see in my head as you talk about it. 18:52 Yeah, it does, it really does. Yeah. 18:55 It was so rich, you know, seeing the scenes, 18:59 knowing that those scenes were behind because we could see 19:01 on the monitor and you could see 19:02 what was going on and it's just, 19:05 it just makes the experience so much richer. 19:08 And music just becomes so much richer 19:11 as you see visually and hear, 19:13 it's just, it's a real experience. 19:15 You know as we're taping, we're heading 19:17 into the holiday season. 19:18 We're at the beginning of December. 19:20 And really whether you are a person 19:23 who celebrates Christmas or you do not, 19:25 or you just want to extend something to someone 19:27 that you want to get the gospel into their home 19:29 in a very non intrusive way, 19:32 you just want to present them to the gospel, 19:34 present the gospel to them. 19:35 This may be the quintessential piece of music to do 19:39 so because everything is about Jesus, 19:41 everything and the message is very obvious, 19:43 you don't have to strain as it look. 19:44 It's there, it's there and it's about Jesus. 19:48 This is the kind of thing you want to put on in your own home 19:51 to kind of be the background music to your life 19:53 and certainly to share it with your friends. 19:55 Okay, what we're going to do. 19:57 We're actually going to play it for you the DVD 19:59 that what you'll be getting 20:01 should you decide to purchase it, 20:03 but also for the CDs we have CDs and the DVDs available. 20:07 And again I've been blessed as I listen to them these songs 20:11 because every song does talk about the cross of Calvary. 20:15 When we think about the great sacrifice 20:18 that Jesus did for us. 20:19 He didn't have to do it. 20:21 It was love that held Jesus to the cross. 20:23 Yes. You know Gethsemane... 20:29 That was love. 20:31 Sweat great drops of blood for us. 20:35 I mean all of these songs, praise his holy name at the end 20:38 it reminds me, it's a closest I think I've been 20:42 to imagining myself in heaven where choirs, 20:48 people, beautiful music, 20:49 we'll be giving praise and honor and glory 20:51 to the Lamb for eternity, 20:53 and this thing just builds and it builds so, 20:56 so I don't know about all of you, but if you're not, 20:59 and we're not talking about people here, not the singers, 21:02 but we're talking about the words to the song 21:05 because even though songwriters you can't, 21:08 we can't take any of us right. 21:10 >>> We can't take credit for those words anyway, 21:12 they come from God. 21:13 Amen. 21:14 When I sit down and I write there's been a few songs 21:16 I wrote just in time that you sang. 21:19 I cried while I was writing it. 21:21 It was new to me, I never thought about, 21:23 I'm not a songwriter, 21:24 I'm not a professional songwriter. 21:25 But when it came, I knew it was of the Lord. 21:28 Gethsemane, when I wrote that chorus, 21:30 I knew that was of the Lord, 21:32 and Lanny Wolfe picked it up 21:33 and did the verses so 21:35 when we say this is beautiful, it's great. 21:37 We're not talking about the singers and musicians. 21:40 We're talking about what God has done, 21:41 what Jesus did for us on the cross of Calvary. 21:44 The cross is nothing. 21:46 It's a piece of wood 21:47 and it's a way to torture people on it, 21:49 take the cross itself as John mentioned is nothing 21:53 but Jesus given his life on that cross 21:55 shedding his blood 21:57 that song that says, 21:58 "Each drop of blood brought me million years." 22:01 You know when you think about that love, 22:04 it will take an eternity to understand God 22:07 and his love for fallen man. 22:09 What we're gonna do, we're gonna go ahead and just, 22:11 just put out the whole, all I think 13 songs 22:14 and then we'll come back in a few minutes 22:16 and comment towards the end. 22:18 But we just want to say a little prayer 22:20 that the Lord will, that you'll be able to say, 22:23 "Lord come into my heart." 22:24 Maybe you're sitting there tonight, 22:27 and you have not really fully given your life to the Lord. 22:31 Now it doesn't mean you've never been to church. 22:33 You might be an elder, you might be a preacher. 22:35 You might be Sabbath School 22:38 or Sunday schoolteacher. 22:40 And yet you haven't fully given your heart 22:43 to the Lord Jesus Christ. 22:44 Maybe you're so busy 22:46 in what you're doing in your ministry, 22:48 you forget that one on one relationship 22:50 and that we're nothing of ourselves 22:52 but we can accomplish all things through Christ Jesus. 22:55 So tonight this is not a... 22:57 where you're going to go to New York on Broadway, 23:00 or you're gonna go to Hollywood. 23:02 This is music to bring honor and glory, 23:05 and it's our hope and prayer. 23:07 And I'm going to ask, Yvonne, if you will say a little prayer 23:09 that as the people listen to this tonight. 23:11 No matter who they are, 23:13 if you've never accepted Jesus 23:15 or if you have and you drifted away, 23:17 that you'll be drawn closer because of this project. 23:21 Father, we thank you so very much 23:22 that you've given us the gift of music. 23:25 For you are the creator of all things Lord, 23:28 and we just thank you that you have created music 23:32 and we pray that this music will bring glory to you 23:35 and that every ear that is hearing this music, Lord. 23:38 Every heart will be turned to you 23:41 that the music will not just be a bunch of notes 23:44 but will have meaning to every life. 23:48 Thank you, Lord. 23:49 Thank you for hearing our prayer 23:51 in Jesus' name, amen. 23:53 Amen. Amen. 23:57 Thousands of songs have been written about the most 24:00 important story in the history of mankind. 24:03 The sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross has inspired 24:07 millions to give him their hearts. 24:10 Now we invite you to join us as we lift up Jesus Christ 24:14 on this special 3ABN presentation 24:17 Calvary: Love Found a Way, 24:20 with Danny Shelton, Lanny Wolfe, 24:23 Reggie and Ladye Love Smith, 24:26 Joy Gardner, Yvonne Lewis, 24:29 Terry Blackwood, Gordon Mote, 24:33 Tim Parton, Kris Wilkinson, 24:37 Larry Paxton, Melody Shelton Firestone, 24:41 John Lomacang, Tammy Chance, 24:45 CA Murray and the 3ABN family Choir. 24:49 And now Calvary: Love Found a Way. 25:03 Years I spent in vanity and pride 25:07 Caring not my Lord was crucified 25:11 Knowing not it was for me 25:13 He died on Calvary 25:19 Mercy there was great, and grace was free 25:23 Pardon there was multiplied to me 25:27 There my burdened soul 25:29 Found liberty at Calvary 25:35 By God's Word at last my sin I learned 25:39 Then I trembled at the law I'd spurned 25:43 Till my guilty soul imploring turned to Calvary 25:51 Mercy there was great, and grace was free 25:55 Pardon there was multiplied to me 26:00 There my burdened soul Found liberty 26:03 at Calvary 26:12 Oh, the love that drew salvation's plan 26:16 Oh, the grace that brought it down to man 26:20 Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span 26:23 at Calvary 26:28 Mercy there was great, and grace was free 26:32 Pardon there was multiplied to me 26:36 There my burdened soul Found liberty 26:40 at Calvary 26:44 Mercy there was great, and grace was free 26:48 Pardon there was multiplied to me 26:53 There my burdened soul found liberty 26:56 At Calvary 27:00 At Calvary 27:15 Amen, praise the Lord. 27:17 Beautiful. Thank you so much, beautiful. 27:21 I'm going to ask Lanny Wolfe to come up, 27:23 come up here just a second little farther. 27:25 Lanny, you wrote that song. 27:26 It's a beautiful song, 27:28 and the folks out here 27:30 you get to see better than we do, some of the, 27:32 the LED lights and some of the different pictures 27:36 that were put up and video 27:38 that go along with some of these songs, 27:39 and I want to thank our crew 27:41 for doing an incredible job on that, 27:43 but tell us a little bit just quickly about this song. 27:46 What inspired you to write it? 27:49 This is a lullaby, Mary is singing to the Lamb. 27:53 In the stable she's holding the Lamb of God. 27:56 And so Mary is saying rest tiny hands, 27:59 rest tiny heart, rest tiny eyes 28:02 and so she goes through all these items, 28:04 basically singing a lullaby to the precious Lamb of God, 28:08 it's that simple. 28:09 All right, Melody. 28:45 Rest, tiny hands 28:52 Though you belong to a King 28:57 You will hold 28:59 no royal scepter 29:04 Or wear a royal ring 29:10 For your hands are reserved 29:16 For a Roman cross instead 29:21 Loving hands 29:24 to heal the sick 29:27 And raise the dead 29:35 You are the precious Lamb 29:42 of God 29:43 Precious Lamb of God 29:48 You are the precious 29:53 Lamb of God 30:01 The Word 30:02 became flesh 30:07 To fulfill redemption's plan 30:12 Jesus, 30:14 You are the precious 30:18 Lamb of God 30:33 Sleep, tiny heart 30:39 For time will come 30:41 when You will break 30:45 As on a lonely Cross, 30:49 You'll die 30:51 And men's rejection 30:54 You will take 30:58 But as you close 31:01 Your eyes 31:03 You will find rest 31:06 and then arise Defeating death, 31:12 hell, and the grave Forevermore alive 31:24 You are the precious 31:28 Lamb of God 31:32 Precious Lamb of God 31:36 You are the precious 31:41 Lamb of God 31:48 The Word became flesh 31:54 To fulfill redemption's plan 32:00 Jesus, You are the precious 32:06 Lamb of God 32:12 Precious Lamb 32:16 Precious Lamb 32:19 Oh how sweet 32:22 Oh how sweet 32:25 Hope of earth 32:28 and joy of Heaven 32:40 You are the precious 32:45 Lamb of God 32:49 Precious Lamb of God 32:53 You are the precious 32:57 Lamb of God 33:05 The Word became flesh 33:11 To fulfill redemption's plan 33:17 Jesus, You are the precious 33:23 Lamb of God 33:29 Jesus, You are 33:34 the precious Lamb 33:39 of God. 34:03 Beautiful. 34:06 I'm gonna ask Lanny to walk back up again. 34:09 We're getting ready to do a song called, 34:10 "It was Love." 34:12 And now you remember about a year and a half or so ago 34:14 that we did a project called, "Hallelujah, 34:16 We're Home at Last". 34:18 And on that project Yvonne and I wrote a song. 34:22 And I said all of these songs are on the second coming. 34:26 But this is all on Calvary so the second coming 34:29 we decided to look from heaven's perspective 34:32 what would be happening 34:35 instead of just as humans looking up 34:37 what happens in heaven. 34:39 So it was when Jesus stands up, 34:40 heaven has changed forevermore, 34:42 so on this project, I said, we've got a lot of songs 34:45 about the cross and Christ and Calvary. 34:47 But what about something from heaven's perspective, 34:51 so I began to talk to Lanny and I said, you know, 34:54 I wonder did angels question God's master plan 34:58 when man fell from grace. 34:59 Could redemption be bought 35:01 or would the price be too great. 35:03 Just kind of led him into it, from there he took it 35:06 and your daughter might tell us about it 35:09 and came up with a finished song 35:11 so I really can't take much credit for this. 35:13 We give all credit to God 35:14 but in the fleshly sense I'm honest, 35:17 Lanny, you and your daughter wrote most of this, 35:20 but thanks for let me have a little, little part in it, 35:22 it's beautiful song. 35:24 Thank you, Danny. 35:25 The important thing in this song is 35:27 that Danny planted the seed. 35:30 Because without the question did angels question, 35:33 then the song, the tree doesn't grow. 35:35 So Danny gave us the seed 35:38 and then my daughter Lana Marie 35:40 who's just a wonderful songwriter. 35:43 And I took the seed 35:45 and water the seed 35:47 and basically from the first two or three lines 35:49 we finished the song. 35:51 Basically when this happens, the best way I co-write 35:54 is give me what you have and leave me alone. 35:56 And get out of his way. Yeah. 35:58 Get out of my way 35:59 and let me finish the song and... 36:03 We came back together on a song called, 36:05 "It was love." 36:07 All right. 36:09 Ladye Love, can you help me with this? 36:23 Did angels question 36:27 God's master plan 36:29 When man fell from grace? 36:33 Could redemption be bought 36:38 Or would the price be too great? 36:42 But greater still, 36:45 God formed the hill 36:48 And on it placed a rugged tree 36:53 Where only One, 36:55 God's only Son 36:58 Could redeem you and me 37:05 It was love 37:07 that held Jesus 37:10 To the Cross of Calvary 37:14 Not the nails, but my sin 37:19 That brought Him pain and agony 37:24 Why He would take my place 37:29 I will never understand 37:34 It was love, 37:38 it was love 37:49 It was my sin, my shame 37:54 It was my fault, 37:57 I was to blame 38:00 But He who was sinless 38:04 Took my sin and shame 38:09 The debt was so great I 38:14 could never repay 38:19 When all hope was lost 38:21 God paid the cost 38:24 And love found a way 38:31 It was love that held Jesus 38:36 To the Cross of Calvary 38:41 Not the nails, but my sin 38:45 That brought Him pain and agony 38:51 Why He would take my place 38:56 I will never understand 39:01 It was love, 39:05 it was love 39:10 How rich and pure 39:16 How measureless 39:21 and strong 39:24 It shall forevermore 39:31 endure 39:35 The saints 39:36 and angels song 39:46 Only love could look down 39:50 from a Cross Praying, 39:52 "Father, forgive" 39:56 Only love could freely choose to die 40:02 So that I could freely live 40:09 It was love that held Jesus 40:14 To the Cross of Calvary 40:19 Not the nails, but my sin 40:24 That brought Him pain 40:26 and agony 40:30 Why He would take my place 40:34 I will never understand 40:41 It was love, 40:46 it was His love 40:53 It was love, 41:02 it was love 41:23 Amen, praise the Lord. 41:25 Thank you, Ladye. 41:28 The next song we're going to do is entitled, 41:31 we entitled it, Gethsemane. 41:33 And we were rushing to get a lot of songs done 41:36 and try to write some new ones 41:38 and the night before we went down to Nashville 41:41 to track the songs, 41:43 I was sitting with my guitar 41:44 and this little tune came to me 41:47 and the words just seemed like 41:48 they just literally flowed and it said, 41:52 he suffered Gethsemane through blood, sweat and tears. 41:57 And I said, "Wow, that, that's strong. 42:00 Each drop of blood he shed bought me a million years. 42:04 God's crowning sacrifice." 42:07 And I said, "Man, this is not coming from me." 42:10 Some of you songwriters ever write songs 42:12 or maybe write poems, I know you guys do. 42:14 Sometimes you know when you really work at it, 42:16 and then other times when it just seems like 42:19 God just throws it, throws it on and says, 42:22 "Here take it, what are you gonna do with it?" 42:24 Well, I'm very limited as a songwriter 42:26 and as a musician, but I said, 42:28 "Man, that song is so powerful, 42:31 the spotless Lamb of God who now is the great I am?" 42:34 And I said, "That, that is a powerful chorus." 42:36 Reggie called me to talking about the next morning. 42:39 And I sing it to him, 42:41 have my guitar and he said Danny, 42:42 you got to put that on the project. 42:43 I said, "Reggie, I don't have a chorus, I don't have, 42:46 I just have the music to the chorus and the words, 42:48 I don't have any verses." 42:50 Well, think about it. Pray about it. 42:51 The Lord will give it to you. 42:53 So I was talking to my brother Kenny. 42:56 I said, Lord gave me this, he said, 42:59 "Man, you got to do this," talking to Yvonne Lewis later. 43:03 Next morning we're going to Nashville, 43:05 I talked to these people and they said, 43:07 I can't get that song out of my mind, 43:09 you need to finish that song and do it on a project. 43:11 So I went to the airport 43:13 to pick up in Nashville Lanny Wolfe. 43:14 I said, Lanny, Lord gave me this little chorus 43:17 and you know, it's how you do if you think somebody 43:20 without asking them to co-write a guy like him. 43:22 You don't just ask him to co-write 43:24 so you try to be and he knew exactly 43:26 what I was doing but I said, Lanny, 43:27 Lord gave me this and this little chorus 43:30 and this was evening, by this time we'd done 43:32 one day of tracking, 43:34 and the next morning we went to breakfast. 43:36 Lanny said, "Danny, I can't get that song out of my mind, 43:39 you want me to write verses to it." 43:41 I said absolutely. 43:43 So literally that evening, he put together, 43:46 penned some of the most beautiful words 43:48 I've ever heard to the song first verse the last verse, 43:52 and we asked Reggie to sing and it's absolutely... 43:55 I cry when I hear, I know it's not me, 43:58 it's not Lanny this, 43:59 we do give God the credit for this 44:01 but Gethsemane, Reggie. 44:22 All the way 44:24 from Heaven's splendor 44:28 Robed in flesh, 44:30 born in a manger 44:35 Jesus came to set 44:38 sin's captives free 44:45 "Father, not My will 44:50 but Thine be done" 44:52 Was the prayer He prayed, 44:55 God's only Son 44:58 So He drank the bitter cup 45:03 for you and me 45:09 He suffered Gethsemane 45:16 Through blood, sweat, and tears 45:21 Each drop of blood 45:25 He shed Bought me 45:28 a million years 45:34 God's crowning Sacrifice 45:40 His spotless Lamb 45:46 Now risen from the grave 45:51 He is the great 45:55 I AM 46:01 All alone, 46:04 He felt forsaken 46:07 In the garden, 46:10 His heart was breaking 46:14 Yet He chose to die 46:19 on Calvary 46:25 Jesus, blessed Savior 46:29 and Redeemer 46:33 All to Him, 46:35 I now surrender 46:39 Could I do less after all 46:43 He's done for me? 46:49 He suffered Gethsemane 46:55 Through blood, sweat, and tears 47:01 Each drop of blood 47:05 He shed Bought me 47:08 a million years 47:13 God's crowning 47:16 Sacrifice 47:20 His spotless Lamb 47:26 Now risen from the grave 47:31 He is the great 47:34 I AM 47:40 He could 47:42 have left us to die in our sin 47:46 Alone, forever lost 47:52 But grace would change 47:56 how the story ends 47:59 Jesus' blood would pay the cost 48:11 For He suffered Gethsemane 48:14 Through blood, sweat, and tears 48:19 Each drop of blood 48:22 He shed Bought me 48:25 a million years 48:31 God's crowning 48:34 Sacrifice 48:38 His spotless Lamb 48:44 Now risen 48:46 from the grave 48:49 He is the great 48:52 I AM 48:56 God's crowning 48:59 Sacrifice 49:02 His spotless Lamb 49:10 Now risen from the grave 49:15 He is the great 49:18 I AM 49:23 Now risen from the grave 49:28 Jesus is the great 49:33 I AM 50:02 Thank you, Reg. 50:04 Thank you, Reggie. 50:05 Wow, praise the Lord. 50:07 God is good, isn't he? Yes. 50:09 Did you see some of the pictures behind 50:11 to give a little Jesus. 50:14 We can't imagine, he set his 50:15 sweat great drops of blood, 50:18 but each drop of blood bought us 50:20 a million years and more. 50:23 This love we'll never understand it. 50:25 About a year and a half or two years ago, 50:28 I had written, we were getting ready to do another project 50:30 and I was down with Larry Goss, 50:32 a great friend and wonderful, wonderful man. 50:34 He's now resting in Jesus, 50:36 and I was at his place and I said, 50:39 there's a song that we needed one more song, I said, 50:41 I just wrote a little, little song and it's called, 50:44 I entitled it Calvary says love to me, 50:47 and I played it for him on a guitar. 50:49 He said, "Danny, we got to do this on the project." 50:52 So as we come to this project songs on Calvary. 50:55 And that's what Calvary says to us, think about it. 50:58 It says love. 51:00 You know the Cross of itself is nothing. 51:02 I can go out and make a cross, 51:03 we can do all kinds of things 51:05 but Jesus shed blood on that cross 51:07 is what changed the whole world. 51:10 So when we think about it, 51:11 we think about the cross of Calvary. 51:14 We're going to have Ladye Love come and sing 51:15 Calvary says love to me. 51:30 In compassion and love 51:35 He looked down to earth 51:40 Then He sent His Son 51:44 Born of a virgin birth 51:50 He knew from Creation 51:55 What was to be 52:00 With great love for man 52:04 He planned Calvary 52:13 Calvary says love to me 52:22 Like words could never say 52:32 The blood He shed 52:36 Was love written in red 52:42 Calvary says love 52:47 to me 52:59 Separated by sin 53:04 Was the whole human race 53:09 Man was destined to die 53:13 Were it not for grace 53:19 A cross and three nails 53:24 Never held Him there 53:29 He willingly chose 53:34 The Cross to bear 53:41 Calvary says love to me 53:51 Like words 53:53 could never say 54:01 The blood He shed 54:05 Was love written in red 54:11 Calvary says love 54:16 to me 54:35 The blood He shed 54:40 Was love written 54:43 in red Calvary 54:47 says love to me 54:55 The blood He shed 54:59 Was love written 55:02 in red 55:08 Calvary 55:10 says love to me 55:18 Calvary says love 55:26 to me 55:50 Thank you. 55:51 It's beautiful. 55:53 Absolutely, you know what's amazing to me is 55:56 when God has, everybody has different gifts. 56:00 And I was sitting there thinking about 56:02 almost every note that you heard of all those instruments 56:05 was in her mind and Larry's mind, 56:08 and then you add people like Gordon on there 56:11 and Tim Parton, 56:12 and then get these singers on here. 56:15 And I don't think that 56:16 God's people have to take a backseat 56:18 to the world, do you? 56:19 And I'm so thankful that each and every one of these folk 56:23 have chosen to use their gifts 56:25 and their talents and abilities for God's work. 56:28 Amen. 56:30 And tonight the question would be, what about you? 56:32 What about me? 56:34 As we're here singing, 56:35 and I'm enjoying being able to sing 56:37 with such great singers and musicians, 56:39 but most importantly is what does Calvary mean to us? 56:42 What does Calvary say to us? 56:44 Does Calvary say love to us? 56:46 You see without a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, 56:49 we're going nowhere. 56:51 Literally there's no life. 56:53 There's no hope without the shed blood 56:56 of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. 56:59 I'm so thankful that he's a God of mercy, 57:02 that he's a God of patience, 57:05 that he doesn't mind taking the clay 57:07 and remold in it from time to time. 57:10 But he'll only do that if we come to him 57:12 and confess our sins, "Lord I'm a sinner." 57:17 He says, if we do that, he is faithful and just 57:20 to forgive us from our sins 57:21 and cleanse us from some of our unrighteousness. 57:24 Oh, you all are still awake, all right. 57:27 All unrighteous, isn't that amazing 57:30 that we as frail human agents 57:34 that God would even not destroy all of us 57:37 but he didn't, his love for us 57:41 is beyond comprehension. 57:42 So is great a writer as Lanny Wolfe is 57:45 when he gets to heaven, 57:46 he's going to have to sit in the back corner and say, 57:48 I thought I was a pretty good songwriter 57:50 but I didn't know the story. 57:52 I didn't know half the story, 57:53 I didn't know a tenth of the story 57:55 because we won't know. 57:56 The Bible says, now we see through a glass darkly. 57:59 But then face to face, isn't that wonderful? 58:04 I praise God 58:07 for his plan of salvation. 58:10 It's very simple, 58:11 maybe the greatest song ever written. 58:15 "Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so, 58:20 right, little ones to Him belong. 58:21 They are weak but he is strong." 58:24 Yes, Jesus loves me. 58:26 Yes, Jesus love me. 58:28 You love Jesus tonight? 58:30 I don't care what your problem is, 58:32 Jesus is coming back for a purified bride 58:34 and purified church. 58:36 And as I travel around, 58:37 I see you all are just like me, 58:39 you got a lot of problems in your life, right? 58:42 And I don't think the reason Jesus is not here yet 58:45 is not because we're waiting on him, 58:47 he's waiting on us. 58:48 He's waiting on his people to perfect his character 58:52 within our lives, 58:53 so that he can come back for a purified bride, 58:55 a purified church, and when we get to that point, 58:59 he says, "If I be lifted up from this earth will draw" 59:02 some folk to me. 59:04 You still awake, all right, "Draw all men unto me." 59:08 So I'm so thankful tonight to have this opportunity 59:12 to be here in minister music. 59:16 It talks about Jesus, right? 59:18 The Cross, the sanctuary 59:21 to give the world a last day message 59:24 because I believe we're living in the end times, don't you? 59:27 We have present truth to give to a lost and dying world. 59:30 If we don't do it who will. 59:32 I don't want to stand before Jesus and him say, 59:35 "Why didn't you do, you had the truth 59:37 but you didn't tell anybody." 59:39 I was over in London the other day 59:42 and somebody there said to me, you know what? 59:44 This is not like anywhere else in the world. 59:47 London is impossible to reach people. 59:50 People don't want the truth. 59:52 They're not willing to change. 59:54 And I said, "Well, then why didn't Jesus say 59:56 in Matthew 28:18-20 59:58 "Go ye into all the world except London." 01:00:00 You see, he didn't say that, did he? 01:00:03 He said, "Go ye into all the world." 01:00:05 And I said, I can tell you for a fact 01:00:07 that people in London are looking for truth 01:00:10 and they're looking for change. 01:00:12 There are 30,000 preachers 01:00:16 throughout the great city of London, 01:00:17 but there's over 80,000 registered witches. 01:00:21 There are every kind of culture you can think of, 01:00:24 the new age, there's all kinds of false religions 01:00:27 who do not give honor and glory to the Lord Jesus Christ 01:00:31 and to God, and they're growing by the millions. 01:00:34 The reason I believe they're not accepting truth, 01:00:37 not only in London, here West Frankfort, Illinois, 01:00:40 whether you're from Alabama, Tennessee, Africa, 01:00:43 I don't care where you're from 01:00:44 is because we have been ashamed of the gospel of Christ. 01:00:47 We should be so excited that everybody we see, 01:00:51 we want to tell them about 01:00:52 our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, am I right? 01:00:54 Yes. 01:00:56 I'm starting to get excited so I'm not a preacher 01:00:58 and not a son of a preacher, and I want to back up, 01:01:01 but we're going to sing a little bit about 01:01:02 heaven right now. 01:01:03 Heaven came down and what happened? 01:01:05 Glory filled our soul. All right. 01:01:07 I'll say quartet. 01:01:09 Okay, all right. 01:01:11 I'll try, I don't have much voice left 01:01:13 but we will do it. 01:01:26 Heaven came down And glory filled my soul 01:01:33 When at the Cross 01:01:35 The Savior made me whole 01:01:41 My sins were washed away 01:01:45 And my night was turned to day 01:01:49 Heaven came down 01:01:51 And glory filled my soul 01:01:58 O, what a wonderful, wonderful day 01:02:02 Day I will never forget 01:02:06 After I'd wandered in darkness away 01:02:10 Jesus my Savior I met 01:02:14 O, what a tender, compassionate Friend 01:02:18 He met the need of my heart 01:02:22 Shadows dispelling, 01:02:23 with joy I am telling 01:02:25 He made all the darkness depart 01:02:30 Heaven came down And glory filled my soul 01:02:37 When at the Cross The Savior made me whole 01:02:45 My sins were washed away 01:02:49 And my night was turned to day 01:02:54 Heaven came down And glory filled my soul 01:03:05 Now I've a hope that will surely endure 01:03:09 After the passing of time 01:03:13 I have a future in Heaven for sure 01:03:18 There in those mansions sublime. 01:03:22 And it's because of that wonderful day 01:03:26 When at the Cross I believed 01:03:29 Riches eternal and blessings supernal 01:03:33 From His precious hand I received 01:03:37 Oh, Heaven came down 01:03:39 And glory filled my soul 01:03:45 When at the Cross 01:03:47 The Savior made me whole 01:03:53 My sins were washed away 01:03:57 And my night was turned to day 01:04:02 Heaven came down 01:04:03 And glory filled my soul 01:04:09 My sins were washed away 01:04:13 And my night was turned to day 01:04:18 Heaven came down and glory 01:04:22 Heaven came down and glory 01:04:26 Heaven came down And glory filled my soul 01:04:37 Amen. Thank you. Thank you, guys. 01:04:41 It's beautiful. 01:04:43 I want to say a word about Reggie Smith. 01:04:46 Reggie, I called Reggie to say, 01:04:48 Reggie, would you produce this project. 01:04:51 If you don't know what a producer does, 01:04:53 you can ask Ladye Love. 01:04:54 He spends, if you have a studio, 01:04:58 a music studio in your attic. 01:05:00 They call it their attics, nice little upstairs. 01:05:03 But if you have one, 01:05:04 you spend about several months in the studio, 01:05:07 so she and Brett didn't get to see him very much 01:05:10 unless they went upstairs in the studio, 01:05:12 but Reggie literally produced, 01:05:14 put everything together, worked with Kris, Gordon, 01:05:18 Larry, everybody together and with the choir, 01:05:21 putting all the choir arranging, 01:05:23 he literally arranged all the parts 01:05:25 that were doing. 01:05:26 So, Reggie, thank you so much 01:05:28 for the literally hundreds of hours and months 01:05:31 that you have put in to this project. 01:05:37 Our next song is Precious Blood. 01:05:38 Lanny, come and tell us about this. 01:05:41 You wrote this song. 01:05:43 Paul talks about a thorn in his flesh. 01:05:46 Well, for many years of my life, 01:05:48 a thorn in my flesh for cellulitis. 01:05:50 Some of you know what that is. 01:05:52 I don't know what it is. I just know I would get it. 01:05:55 And when I would get it, it would my ankle 01:05:58 and it would hurt and would get red 01:06:00 and I couldn't even walk to the car to go to the hospital, 01:06:03 and then I'd be in the hospital for a week 01:06:05 and pay $10,000 and come home. 01:06:07 And then work to pay off the hospital bill 01:06:09 so that's what cellulitis was. 01:06:11 I was on a crowd tour, we were in Cincinnati, Ohio. 01:06:14 I would never know when this is going to happen. 01:06:16 It just happens. 01:06:17 And so we were there and it happened. 01:06:20 In the middle of a service, 01:06:21 I had 50 young people in a crowd tour. 01:06:23 And I thought, "God, I don't know 01:06:25 if I can make it through this service, 01:06:26 help me get through this service." 01:06:28 So at the end of the service, I turned the crowd, 01:06:30 we had more tour dates 01:06:31 so I turned it over to somebody 01:06:33 to go on with the choir to the next city. 01:06:36 I said, "Take me to emergency room." 01:06:37 And they did and so they put me in a room, 01:06:41 and they started doing all the stuff they do, 01:06:45 and the first thing they do is take your blood. 01:06:47 Well, I've had my blood taken many times, 01:06:50 you have too 01:06:51 but it was what I call as a songwriter 01:06:54 the moment of truth. 01:06:57 It was this time 01:06:59 when they were taking my blood. 01:07:02 Brother Murray, this time I got it. 01:07:07 Without blood, 01:07:09 none of the rest of this works. 01:07:11 It doesn't matter how beautiful your body is, 01:07:14 it doesn't matter how much money you've got, 01:07:16 if the blood is not there, nothing's there. 01:07:20 And so at that moment of truth, 01:07:22 God impressed me that for hundreds of years, 01:07:25 lambs were brought to offer for sacrifice for sins, 01:07:31 but Jesus Christ the Lamb of God... 01:07:33 Amen. 01:07:34 All right. 01:07:36 He went to the cross and he said, 01:07:38 "I will go and I would shed once and for all, 01:07:43 you don't need to bring any more lambs, I am the Lamb, 01:07:46 I am the Lamb of God." 01:07:48 Once and for all he drank the bitter cup 01:07:51 and he took the stripes on his back for our healing. 01:07:56 And so Jesus Christ heals, he heals today. 01:08:01 You need to be healed. 01:08:02 He took the stripes on his back. 01:08:04 So we could be healed 01:08:06 and so this song came in a hospital room 01:08:09 in Cincinnati Ohio, Precious Blood. 01:08:11 Melody. 01:08:37 So many years So many lambs 01:08:43 were offered up 01:08:47 But all the blood that was spilled 01:08:51 Could never fill that bitter cup 01:08:59 Till one spotless lamb, 01:09:01 in the form of man 01:09:04 Gave His life on Calvary 01:09:09 His was the only blood 01:09:12 That could ever set me free 01:09:20 For His blood was not just blood 01:09:25 Of another spotless lamb 01:09:31 But His blood was precious blood 01:09:36 For it washed the sins of man 01:09:41 And His blood it heals my body 01:09:47 And it sets my spirit free 01:09:52 And I'm so glad His precious blood 01:09:58 Still flows from Calvary 01:10:07 No other blood Can heal 01:10:11 my broken body 01:10:16 And no other blood 01:10:19 Can save my sin-sick soul 01:10:27 And no other blood could conquer death 01:10:33 And win the victory 01:10:38 No other blood 01:10:41 But the blood Jesus shed for me 01:10:49 For His blood was not just blood 01:10:54 Of another spotless lamb 01:11:00 But His blood was precious blood 01:11:05 For it washed the sins of man 01:11:10 And His blood it heals my body 01:11:16 And it sets my spirit free 01:11:21 And I'm so glad His precious blood 01:11:26 Still flows from Calvary 01:11:33 And His blood 01:11:38 it heals my body 01:11:41 And it sets my spirit free 01:11:45 And I'm so glad His precious blood 01:11:51 I'm so glad His precious blood 01:11:56 And I'm so glad His precious blood 01:12:01 Still flows from Calvary 01:12:09 It belongs to Calvary 01:12:16 Calvary 01:12:28 Amen. Amen. 01:12:30 Praise the Lord. 01:12:35 Okay. All right. 01:12:38 Wow, I don't know about you all 01:12:39 but I'm getting those great big old chill bumps all over me, 01:12:43 I'm gonna call them the Holy Spirit bumps 01:12:44 all right because it's sure not, 01:12:46 it's sure not cold in here, but I feel the anointing 01:12:49 of the Holy Spirit. 01:12:50 Anybody with me on this tonight, 01:12:53 because we're singing about the only thing 01:12:55 that really matters in life, right. 01:12:58 is life itself to life giver. 01:13:01 We're bringing honor and glory and praise to him tonight. 01:13:05 Reggie, we were at your house visiting, 01:13:09 Reggie went to the piano and said, I think I got a song, 01:13:13 it might work on a project. 01:13:16 And it worked, it's beautiful song. 01:13:18 Tell us about this song? 01:13:19 Well, this is an old hymn and... 01:13:22 With the different arrangement? 01:13:23 With the different arrangement, with a little twist to it 01:13:25 "At the Cross," you know that hymn, right? 01:13:29 And I didn't know if it would, you know, fit for the project. 01:13:31 You know, you want to tie everything together 01:13:33 and nicely and I was little scared to play it 01:13:35 for Danny honestly. 01:13:37 I was little nervous but I said, 01:13:38 well, I just worked on this little hymn 01:13:40 and Yvonne was sitting there, 01:13:42 so started to play along and Yvonne said, mm-hmm, yes, 01:13:47 yes, yes, yes, it's in. 01:13:52 So that made the cut so, it's so beautiful, 01:13:55 beautiful old lyric but a great song, so thank you. 01:14:11 Alas and did 01:14:17 my Savior bleed 01:14:22 And did my 01:14:25 Sovereign die? 01:14:33 Would He devote 01:14:38 that sacred head 01:14:44 For such a worm as I? 01:14:53 At the Cross, 01:14:56 at the Cross 01:14:59 Where I first saw the light 01:15:04 And the burden of my heart 01:15:09 rolled away 01:15:15 It was there by faith 01:15:20 I received my sight 01:15:26 And now I am happy 01:15:31 All the day 01:15:42 Was it for crimes 01:15:48 that I have done 01:15:53 He groaned upon the tree? 01:16:04 Amazing pity, 01:16:09 grace unknown 01:16:14 And love beyond degree 01:16:24 At the Cross, at the Cross 01:16:29 Where I first saw the light 01:16:35 And the burden 01:16:37 of my heart rolled away 01:16:45 It was there by faith 01:16:51 I received my sight 01:16:57 And now I am happy 01:17:01 all the day 01:17:23 At the Cross, at the Cross 01:17:28 Where I first saw the light 01:17:33 And the burden of my heart 01:17:39 rolled away 01:17:44 It was there by faith 01:17:49 I received my sight 01:17:58 And now I am happy 01:18:03 all the day 01:18:30 All right, I'm going to ask 01:18:31 Lanny Wolfe and Melody to come up. 01:18:35 I have to tell you a really short story. 01:18:38 I don't have much voice left, 01:18:40 but I got enough to tell this story. 01:18:43 I mean we got to talk about something tonight right, okay. 01:18:47 Another idea came to me. Okay, let's do this. 01:18:50 No, no, no, no, another other idea came to me about a song. 01:18:54 And I said, started talking about it, 01:18:57 I told Lanny, I said, I got this. 01:18:58 I think it's a great idea for a song. 01:19:01 He said, "Danny, that's a baby that needs to be birthed, 01:19:04 needs to be born." 01:19:06 Hung the world in space. 01:19:07 I said, hung the world in space was the one who hung 01:19:09 on the cross in our place. 01:19:11 Now that hit me, that's powerful, 01:19:13 I said, now what if we could write. 01:19:15 Joy, what if we could write 01:19:16 all of parallels like that something from heaven to earth. 01:19:20 Lanny said, "Oh, that's wonderful." 01:19:22 So we told Melody about it. 01:19:24 Melody come up with the first line or two, 01:19:27 and then Lanny come up with some more pretty soon. 01:19:31 I saw the three way emails were going to two way e-mails 01:19:35 and My name was left out 01:19:38 >>> My name was left out and I said, now wait a minute, 01:19:42 I thought I had a baby that was supposed to be born, 01:19:45 and so now all of a sudden things got very quiet. 01:19:49 You know what just like, 01:19:50 like I look at my email now surely there... 01:19:53 no, nothing here to today, so anyway but I'm really glad, 01:19:57 I'm really glad, I love teasing Melody about this. 01:20:00 Now you know Lanny is in charge. 01:20:03 So blame Lanny. 01:20:05 Wait, wait just a minute. Okay. 01:20:07 God woke me up in the middle of the night with a chorus that 01:20:11 was an Easter musical. 01:20:13 My first Easter musical Benson called "Love Found a Way." 01:20:16 And I thought it was a chorus because at the time it was, 01:20:20 it had three lines and then it repeated the third line. 01:20:23 It really wasn't a full fledged legit chorus. 01:20:27 God woke me up in the middle of the night and reminded me that 01:20:30 it wasn't a real chorus to make it a chorus. 01:20:33 So I called Danny and Melody and I said, I've got, 01:20:37 I've got the glue for this song and that was the moment 01:20:41 when you were lying... 01:20:42 That's the moment when he said, "Danny, you're out." 01:20:47 But what I'm going to try to do is sing on it anyway, right. 01:20:50 I was a part of it, but honestly 01:20:53 it is such a beautiful song and Lanny said, 01:20:56 "It'll just be birthed at another time." 01:20:58 The idea that I had so I'm going to hold you to that, 01:21:00 okay. 01:21:01 But thank you Melody for your support 01:21:03 in this and the words that you gave... 01:21:04 Thank you. 01:21:06 And working together with Lanny, beautiful song 01:21:07 and we're actually entitling this whole project, 01:21:11 Calvary: Love Found a Way. 01:21:33 From the foundation 01:21:36 of the world 01:21:39 God had a master plan 01:21:45 To conquer death, 01:21:49 darkness, and sin 01:21:52 Redeem fallen man 01:21:58 And with man's fall 01:22:01 from grace 01:22:03 The gulf was too great 01:22:06 to span 01:22:11 Oh, but love, 01:22:14 love built a bridge 01:22:17 Between God and man 01:22:24 Love found a way 01:22:27 To redeem my soul 01:22:30 Love found a way To make me whole 01:22:37 For God so loved The world that was lost 01:22:43 He gave His Son To die on the Cross 01:22:50 I'm saved today 01:22:53 and all because 01:22:56 Love found a way 01:23:03 Aimlessly wand'ring 01:23:07 so far from home 01:23:09 Sinking in deep despair 01:23:16 All hope was gone, I was sad and alone 01:23:21 Was there no one to care? 01:23:28 Then God in love reached down I was lost, now I'm found, 01:23:35 happy day Happy day 01:23:41 Life's now worthwhile 01:23:45 And all because God's love found a way 01:23:53 Love found a way To redeem my soul 01:24:00 Love found a way To make me whole 01:24:06 For God so loved The world that was lost 01:24:12 He gave His Son To die on the Cross 01:24:19 I'm saved today and all 01:24:23 because Love found a way 01:24:30 God could have emptied the coffers of Heaven 01:24:36 If riches could have set me free 01:24:42 But He knew if redemption's 01:24:46 lock Could be opened 01:24:49 Love was the only key 01:24:57 Love found a way 01:25:01 To redeem my soul 01:25:04 Love found a way To make me whole 01:25:10 For God so loved The world that was lost 01:25:17 He gave His Son To die on the Cross 01:25:23 I'm saved today and all because 01:25:30 Love found a way Love found a way 01:25:36 I'm saved today and all because 01:25:42 Love found a way 01:25:46 Love found a way 01:25:55 Amen. 01:25:59 Love found a way, aren't you glad? 01:26:01 I'm thankful, without that there is nothing, folks, 01:26:04 love found a way. 01:26:05 Melody, Lanny, thank you so much. 01:26:08 We're gonna have Reggie and Ladye come up, 01:26:10 another beautiful song. This was written by... 01:26:13 Dottie Rambo. Dottie Rambo 01:26:14 The wonderful Dottie Rambo, yes. 01:26:16 Beautiful, tell us about it. 01:26:18 Ladye Love, you gonna sing with him or just... 01:26:19 I will glory in the Cross. I will Glory in the Cross. 01:26:21 You remember this, when, Danny, 01:26:22 you know we when we to do the arrangement 01:26:24 and we all got together in Kris' room 01:26:27 and we started trying to figure out how with, 01:26:28 you know, listen, it was fun. 01:26:30 Are you kidding me? 01:26:31 She's magnificent, she's amazing. 01:26:32 And when you called me, Danny, to say it, 01:26:34 producer saying you didn't tell, 01:26:35 I told you about no twice, I told you no twice, 01:26:39 I could because our, our dear friend and the most wonderful 01:26:43 producer that we ever knew was Larry Goss, 01:26:45 he produced our Hallelujah. 01:26:47 And so there was just no way, 01:26:50 me, I could follow up anything like that. 01:26:53 Are you kidding me really, Larry Goss. 01:26:55 But you know what? 01:26:56 I said, if we can build a great team, a great team, 01:26:59 then we can get through this. 01:27:01 And we start, of course we started 01:27:02 with the magnificent orchestrator over there 01:27:05 and then Larry obviously was there too 01:27:07 and helping out write some 01:27:08 and did a great musicians everything. 01:27:11 And you know we got to thinking about this song, 01:27:12 we said how do we treat this because it's been recorded 01:27:14 many, many times. 01:27:15 Lorna Harris did a wonderful arrangement of the song, 01:27:17 incredible arrangement. 01:27:19 And we started thinking, how would... 01:27:21 I started thinking how would maybe 01:27:22 Miss Dottie had written this song 01:27:26 and she... I think she's from Kentucky originally, 01:27:29 is that right Kentucky. 01:27:30 So she was a, she was a country girl I think, 01:27:32 and she played the guitar, just kind of simple chords guitar, 01:27:36 and I don't think she would have played all these 01:27:38 fancy chords all over the world, you know, 01:27:40 she'd have played just right straight ahead 01:27:42 and so we kind of put a Celtic feeling to it. 01:27:46 Celtic Kentucky feeling to it, so that's what it became. 01:28:42 I boast not of works, 01:28:46 or tell of good deeds 01:28:51 For naught have I done, 01:28:56 to merit 01:28:59 His grace 01:29:05 All glory and praise 01:29:10 shall rest upon Him 01:29:17 So willing 01:29:19 to die in my place 01:29:29 I will glory 01:29:34 in the Cross, 01:29:37 in the Cross 01:29:38 Lest His suffering 01:29:43 all be in vain 01:29:49 I will weep no more, 01:29:54 for the Cross 01:29:56 that He bore 01:29:59 I will glory 01:30:03 in the Cross 01:30:10 My trophies and crowns, 01:30:15 my robe stained with sin 01:30:19 'Twas all that I had 01:30:24 to lay at His feet 01:30:30 Unworthy to eat 01:30:35 from the table of life 01:30:40 Till love made provision 01:30:44 for me 01:30:48 I will glory 01:30:53 in the Cross in the Cross 01:30:57 Lest His suffering 01:31:01 all be in vain 01:31:07 I will weep no more, 01:31:11 for the Cross that He bore 01:31:16 I will glory 01:31:19 in the Cross 01:31:35 In the Cross, 01:31:40 in the Cross 01:31:44 Be my glory ever 01:31:55 I will weep no more, 01:32:00 for the Cross that He bore 01:32:07 I will glory, 01:32:11 yes, I will glory 01:32:16 Yes, I will glory 01:32:20 in the Cross 01:32:27 In the Cross 01:32:37 All right. Thank you. 01:32:41 Beautiful. I will glory in the Cross. 01:32:44 Also want to thank E.T Everett sitting down front 01:32:47 right here some of the folk. 01:32:49 You might not be able to see her on camera too much. 01:32:53 What an incredible job, she's our sound center manager. 01:32:56 Incredible musician literally arranger, singer, 01:33:00 and she worked countless hours Bobby Bradley, 01:33:03 our chief engineer, sound engineer incredible 01:33:06 he is always behind the scenes and our whole 3ABN crew 01:33:10 here for what they are doing, it's so neat 01:33:13 and hence I can say after 31 years, 01:33:15 it's fun working together, isn't it E.T? 01:39:57 You all sound really good out there. 01:40:00 Thank you for singing, it's really nice 01:40:02 when we sing to hear y'all singing back on songs 01:40:05 that you know. 01:40:06 The next song is a song 01:40:08 that Reggie and Ladye and maybe Marty I'm not sure 01:40:11 who all wrote on this song, 01:40:14 but come up and tell us about it and sing it for us. 01:40:18 It's entitled, "I'll Never Know." 01:40:23 And I think we're just going to sing 01:40:25 and let it speak for itself. 01:40:26 All right. 01:40:28 But Marty did a great job, right. 01:40:30 But Marty, I honestly I had it... 01:40:32 wrote some music 01:40:33 and I had a kind of a hook in my mind you know the hook. 01:40:36 You got to come up with the hook, right, 01:40:37 for the song and read the music and I just was not pleased 01:40:41 at all with what was going on with the lyric. 01:40:43 I was just not pleased with it. 01:40:44 Matter of fact he got, for no known reason 01:40:46 it got brought back because Danny brought it back 01:40:48 because I'd already thrown on the cutting floor, 01:40:50 it wouldn't go make the cut. 01:40:52 But anyway and then Marty is amazing 01:40:53 and so he wrote this a fun, 01:40:55 a great lyric to it, so here we are. 01:41:15 I don't pretend to comprehend 01:41:21 All the wonders and all the mysteries 01:41:30 But why You gave Your life to save 01:41:36 The ones You knew would nail You to the tree 01:41:45 I've often read the words You said 01:41:51 About forgiveness and the failures all erased 01:42:00 I've understood, as best I could 01:42:06 But how could I begin 01:42:09 to fathom grace? 01:42:13 I'll never know 01:42:16 What made You leave Your throne 01:42:20 I'll never know 01:42:23 Why You chose Calvary 01:42:28 And knowing who I am 01:42:31 I know that I will never understand 01:42:36 Why One like You Would die for one like me 01:42:43 I'll never know But forever I'll believe 01:42:52 What kind of love 01:42:54 Would leave His home in Heaven 01:42:58 To become like the ones 01:43:01 He came to save 01:43:06 What power, 01:43:08 what compassion Would hold Him 01:43:11 to a Cross 01:43:14 Then raise Him up 01:43:15 triumphant from the grave? 01:43:24 I'll never know 01:43:27 What made You leave Your throne 01:43:31 I'll never know 01:43:34 Why You chose Calvary 01:43:39 And knowing who I am 01:43:42 I know that I will never understand 01:43:47 Why One like You 01:43:49 Would die for one like me 01:43:54 I'll never know 01:43:57 But forever 01:43:59 I'll believe 01:44:24 Amen, thank you, beautiful, beautiful. 01:44:30 Our last song on this project 01:44:33 we saved it last for a reason. 01:44:38 It's probably one of the most worshipful songs. 01:44:41 When you listen to it, you can't hardly help 01:44:44 but get in the spirit of worship our creator God. 01:44:47 Lanny wrote it and I can actually say this 01:44:50 without trying to be too funny, 01:44:51 but he co-wrote it with Beethoven, wasn't it? 01:44:54 In other words he borrowed, 01:44:57 we'll use the word borrowed some, 01:44:59 some of Beethoven's music and added his own Lanny Wolfe. 01:45:03 What an incredible song and we were able to get the Aeolians 01:45:07 from Oakwood University. 01:45:09 So you'll hear them singing with the choir here. 01:45:12 Absolutely, incredible young people, love Jesus, 01:45:16 talent that's off the charts. 01:45:18 And we're so thankful for them and their leadership 01:45:21 and being able to come to the studio and help Yvonne Lewis. 01:45:24 Yvonne is going to be singing the lead part. 01:45:27 Absolutely beautiful song Thank you, Lanny, 01:45:29 for this song and Praise His Holy Name. 01:46:35 Praise the Lord 01:46:41 From whom all 01:46:44 blessings flow 01:46:48 For He has washed 01:46:54 And made me white 01:46:59 as snow 01:47:03 I'm redeemed 01:47:09 from all my sin 01:47:13 and shame 01:47:16 For now and forever, 01:47:24 praise His 01:47:26 holy name 01:47:31 Praise His 01:47:33 holy name 01:47:38 Praise His 01:47:40 holy name 01:47:45 To God be the glory Now 01:47:50 and forever 01:47:52 Praise His holy name 01:48:22 God is great 01:48:27 and greatly to be praised 01:48:34 Above all 01:48:39 other, 01:48:42 let His name 01:48:45 be raised 01:48:49 and angels 01:48:56 evermore proclaim 01:49:02 That He alone is worthy, 01:49:10 praise His holy name 01:49:16 Praise His holy name 01:49:23 Praise His holy name 01:49:30 To God be the glory 01:49:34 Now and forever 01:49:37 Praise His holy name 01:49:44 Praise His 01:49:46 holy name 01:49:51 Praise His holy name 01:49:58 To God be the glory 01:50:05 To God be the glory 01:50:12 To God be the glory 01:50:16 Now and forever 01:50:25 Praise 01:50:27 His holy name 01:50:44 Praise His name 01:50:50 Praise His name 01:50:59 To God be the glory 01:51:03 Now and forever 01:51:07 Praise 01:51:10 His holy name 01:51:31 Lord left the comforts of heaven 01:51:35 If it would just set me free 01:51:48 Love was the only thing 01:51:51 Love was the only thing 01:51:56 Love found a way, 01:52:00 to redeem my soul 01:52:04 Love found a way 01:52:06 to make me whole 01:52:10 God thou so loved 01:52:13 the world that was lost 01:52:16 He gave His Son 01:52:19 to die on the cross 01:52:23 Christ save today 01:52:26 And though we lost, 01:52:29 love found a way 01:52:32 Love found a way 01:52:35 Christ save today 01:52:38 And all because 01:52:42 love found a way 01:52:45 Love found a way 01:52:56 You know that is a two hander. 01:52:57 Amen, praise the Lord. Amen. 01:52:58 You bless your heart, Yvonne, you hit some notes sometimes, 01:53:00 I'm... Over the years that I've known you. 01:53:03 I've seen her do M and M commercials. 01:53:05 Now she's gone from M and M to D2D, 01:53:07 you know in Calvary but God has blessed you such a gift, 01:53:10 and you talk about this 01:53:11 and I say this real quickly about professional people 01:53:14 God has brought into the 3ABN orbit. 01:53:16 Professional people who have stature in their own realms 01:53:19 but they've dedicated their gifts, 01:53:21 a Larry Goss, a Lanny Wolf, 01:53:23 a John Lomacang and Yvonne, yourself, 01:53:26 people who's been in the studio and Reggie and Ladye 01:53:29 who have dedicated... 01:53:30 That's why these projects are so good. 01:53:32 Absolutely, Kris Wilkinson. 01:53:33 Kris Wilkinson and Larry Paxton who have dedicated 01:53:35 their considerable talents to the Christ 01:53:37 and when you do that, your talent becomes ministry, 01:53:41 and that's what this album is all about. 01:53:42 Absolutely. 01:53:43 And it's not only that just about the Calvary 01:53:45 but there's a quote here that really emphasizes 01:53:47 what this is all about. 01:53:48 In the book Christian Teachings, it says on page 434, 01:53:52 "Lift up the man of Calvary higher and still higher. 01:53:55 There is power in the exaltation 01:53:57 of the cross of Christ." 01:53:58 And so it's not just the message of the Cross. 01:54:00 But there's a power that's there 01:54:02 that was not available before the cross. 01:54:04 Remember Jesus said, at resurrection said, 01:54:06 all power is given unto me and He released something 01:54:09 that He did not have to release prior to the cross. 01:54:12 Had he endured the trial, 01:54:14 then that all power was now available 01:54:17 to those who receive Him to them He gave power. 01:54:19 On the day of Pentecost, He poured out power on the church. 01:54:22 And so that's why this is to exalt Him. 01:54:25 When Christ is exalted, 01:54:26 the power of the cross is released 01:54:29 into the lives of those who will then be transformed by it. 01:54:32 So it's more than just a project. 01:54:33 I go back to Pastor CA, it's a process, 01:54:36 it's the process of Calvary. 01:54:38 Amen. Amen, that's rich. 01:54:40 What a great witnessing tool for the end of the year. 01:54:43 And as you've talked about earlier I think, 01:54:46 maybe you're thinking about giving somebody 01:54:48 a gift this time of a year 01:54:49 whether you believe in Christmas or not. 01:54:51 Calvary is relevant 24/7 for eternity now, right? 01:54:54 That's right. 01:54:55 We'll know Jesus by the nail prints in His hands... 01:54:57 Yes. Amen. That's right. 01:56:25 That's what it says. 01:56:26 So that's, that's, that's what we want to do to lift up Jesus, 01:56:30 and if you want to be part of that, 01:56:31 this is a certain and sure way to be part of that 01:56:35 because God is all in this as we say in eternity, 01:56:38 He's always there. He's all in it. 01:56:40 He's all in it, I like it. 01:56:41 He's all in it from the very beginning. 01:56:43 Absolutely. Yeah. 01:56:44 Well...
