that in urban society,

and in hip-hop culture,

that are used in
relation to growing

and understanding this culture.

we wanted to address

that education was used
even by the devil himself.

the Book of Daniel

where Nebuchadnezzar
wanted to take away

the true education
of God and His word
00:01:28.15\00:01:30.79
from the minds of
the Hebrew captives
00:01:30.82\00:01:32.92
and he wanted to
introduce a false education,
00:01:32.95\00:01:35.99
a science, falsely so
called to the minds of Israel,
00:01:36.02\00:01:39.29
so that they would forget God,
00:01:39.33\00:01:40.80
forget His word,
forget His truth,
00:01:40.83\00:01:42.63
forget His lifestyle
and culture and standards,
00:01:42.66\00:01:45.23
and of course
embrace the false education.

The Bible lets us know

that we are going
to once again be faced

with a spiritual Babylon.

recognized in our programs

that the hip-hop culture
is not the all encompassing

another tree there.

It's called the tree of
the knowledge of good and evil.

that wisdom is comes from God

and is designed to make us happy

to give us pleasure in life,

But then we saw

verses of Proverbs 3

that the tree
of life was equated

to that wisdom, that education,

that understanding
that God wanted to give.

So when we
entertain the question

of where did
true education begin,

it began right
there, in the beginning

even before sin
ever came into this world

through the
instrument of the tree of life.

It was designed to teach lessons

to Adam and Eve

so that their characters
would develop and grow.

And there are lessons that
we can learn from it as well.

more about true education,

the idea of false education.

well then how do we understand

coming into the picture now?

right in the Garden of Eden.

our attention to Genesis 3,

We're looking at Genesis 3,
we're starting with verse 1,

we're gonna go all
the way down to verse 10.

So I am gonna read those

and we will talk
about those origins.

It says here in Genesis 3:1,

"Now the serpent was more subtle

than any beast of the field
which the Lord God had made.

And he said unto the
woman, Yea, hath God said,

Ye shall not eat of
every tree of the garden?

And the woman
said unto the serpent,

We may eat of the fruit
of the trees of the garden:

But of the fruit of the tree

which is in the midst of
the garden, God hath said,

Ye shall not eat of it,
neither shall ye touch it,

So we see here,

can eat freely off

access to the tree of life.

But the tree which is
in the midst of the garden,

the tree of the
knowledge of good and evil,

you shall not eat of
it, because if you do,

it's gonna harm
you, it's gonna hurt you,

in fact, it will kill you.

But lo and
behold, a serpent appears.

A serpent
appears in the very tree

or in and around the every tree

that God said
expressively not to eat.

We saw that, that war in heaven

that we
discussed in Revelation 12

is dealing with a war
00:07:32.85\00:07:35.35
between Christ or God and Satan.

And it says the
dragon in Genesis 12--

oh, excuse me, Revelation 12,
00:07:43.02\00:07:45.13
but then it goes
on to say in verse 9
00:07:45.16\00:07:47.06
that the dragon
was that old serpent
00:07:47.10\00:07:52.13
called the devil and Satan.

So we find out who
this serpent was himself.

Absolutely. Okay.

So we know that this serpent,
that old serpent is the dragon

or the devil and Satan,
00:08:01.44\00:08:02.78
fallen Lucifer was now
been cast out of heaven

and comes to the earth
00:08:06.15\00:08:07.78
to tempt man and
challenge God if you will.

He's kind of
challenging God to say,
00:08:11.15\00:08:12.89
well, if they really love You

and if You are
who You say You are

then they are
gonna do what You say.

And in fact, you know,
it's kind of an argument

that is almost proposal,

we can see kind
of highlighted here.

It says that the
serpent was more subtle

If the wages of
sin is death, right.

And if all have sinned

and fall short of the
glory of God and if God said,

"If you eat of this tree,
then you will surely die."

Then Satan is arguing,

"Well, they ate it,
so they should die."

And so if You really are just,
00:08:50.33\00:08:53.33
You really are 100
percent a God of justice,
00:08:53.36\00:08:56.67
then you have to kill them.

"But on the
other hand, he can say,

"If You are love,
00:09:02.40\00:09:05.14
then You can't go
killing Your own children

and you have to forgive them."

So he kind of cast this
doubt and we talked about that

how Satan cast
doubt on God's character,

His government,
His way of determining

what is true or what is right

versus what is wrong

and how can God then
judge a righteous judgment.

And we see this now

this conflict
unfold on the earth

throughout the Bible, and
it deals with this subject

and it represents Christ.

It says that in Revelation 12

that we dealt with.

That they overcame them--

Yes, Revelation 12 or 11. Right.

And they overcame them
by the blood of the Lamb

and by the word
of their testimony

and they love not their
lives even onto the death.

So we're gonna
have to talk about that,

you know, shortly,

but God was willing
to substitute Himself

to pay the penalty
for man's transgression.

And as soon as that took place,

God was ready to
step in on man's behalf.

So death came,
physical death, degradation,

sin came unto the earth.

It affected man
mentally, physically

and all these things,

even spiritually
as we can clearly see.

But God supplied a
substitute in His own Son.

We saw John 3:16,

"For God so loved the world,

that He gave His
only begotten Son,

that whosoever believeth in Him

should not perish, but
have everlasting life."

So God didn't
wanted to just execute man

for
transgressing but nevertheless,

this false science,
this false education

through the
dragon, through Satan

comes in and
proposes an alternative

and makes the alternative appear

as if it will benefit them.

It's a complete
reversal of what God presented.

God presented two options.

You can eat everything

and you'll have
access to the tree of life.

You'll have joy, happiness.

Proverbs of Deuteronomy,

he is connected to the
tree of life with wisdom and joy

and happiness and life eternal.

The other alternative
was the tree of knowledge

of good and evil
which would bring death.

Satan comes along
and says something--

he's very cunning,
he's very deceptive

and I think I'll take
some time to talk about

how these things play
out in modern philosophies.

But he comes and says,

"Well, did God say

that you shall not eat
of any tree in the garden?"
00:11:23.08\00:11:28.08
So he already-- it's
what is in philosophy,

it's what called the
interrogation of the thesis.

So the thesis is
that God-- you can eat it,

God said you can eat everything
except this one thing.

Satan now comes and says,

"Did God say you
can't eat anything?"

So Eve now in
dialoging with the dragon

and that's one
very important lesson

that we all have to understand,
never dialog with the enemy.

It's not necessary.

Once you identify
that it is the enemy,

he can come and deceive you

and you don't know
who you're dealing with.

But once you identify
who you're dealing with,

conversation is over, no dialog

'cause we're not
gonna outwit Satan.

physically beat him either.

So he interrogates the thesis

and now Eve feels compelled
to educate the serpent.

God said that we
can eat the trees

and we can eat everything
except the tree that you're--

that we're
dealing with right now,

this tree of
knowledge of good and evil.

He says that we
can't eat it or touch it.

If we do we'll die.

Satan now introduces
the first lie on the earth.

And he says, "You
shall not surely die

because God knows

that in the day
that you eat this,

from this tree,

your eyes will be
open and you'll be as gods,

knowing good and
evil, you'll be like God.

You'll be better than or like

or better than that competition,

that strife, that emulation.

You'll be like
God or better than God

just like Lucifer
strive to be which,

which allowed him to be cast out

which cost him to be cast out.

But now he says,

"It will actually
benefit you Eve and Adam

if you do what
God said not to do.

It's the complete
reversal of the truth.

So it's a deceptive way

that kind of
mingles the truth with error

and creates
some new alternative.

And this is an extremely
devilish demonic practice

that is played out everywhere
in these philosophies today.

because this is incredibly deep

able to package it in a way

where we can say, "Wow,
let's look at this thing

understand this practically.

In the beginning God
gives a tree of life.

He equates education via
knowledge and wisdom of--

that's of a heavenly
origin to a tree of life.

We saw that in Proverbs 3.

Happiness, joy. Happiness, joy.

And he equates it
to a tree of life.

Then we read in
Deuteronomy 30:19-20

that God Himself
says, "I am life."

The Bible says,
"Choose life," in verse 19,

then in verse 20 He
says, "For I am life."

We know in John 14:6,
Jesus says, "I am life."

We know in John 11:25,
Jesus says, "I am life."

Now watch this.

While God is also
life, God is also truth.

And this is where Jesus says,
