being by the name of Lucifer,

And Lucifer as a
result of looking upon himself

and exalting himself,

he found himself at
odds or at variance with God.

He became God's enemy

and that's how he
earned the name Satan.

And then he began to slander God

and that's how he
earned the name Devil.

And we saw that it was
through self-exaltation.

Lucifer was not content

with the gifts and
the abilities that he had,

but he wanted to go ahead

and try to exalt himself,

not even as God but
above God, the Bible says.

And we were reviewing
that in Isaiah 14:12-14

and we saw incredible
things from the Word of God.

were going through these things

just to see the mindset of Satan

and then seeing how this
mindset was transitioning

into the minds of people

now are thinking that

but his mindset
started to become manifested

that kind of highlights this.

The Bible is constantly

thing that spoke to me

about the reality and
the truth of the Bible

is that it doesn't just
highlight the good things

about the characters
that are found in it.

It highlights the
wickedness of man as well,

and it shows the contrast

between
righteousness and wickedness

and that each man,
no matter how great,

has the potential of success
or failure in God's sight.

That's right.

So Isaiah 47:10, and

think it kind of summarizes

the idea that this corruption

the heart of Lucifer

humanity in the very beginning

now is being
perpetuated throughout humanity

and that same self-exaltation
can be found there.

it hath perverted thee.

in thine heart, I am,

and none else beside me."

Now we have individuals
with a certain wisdom

and a certain knowledge

but that certain wisdom
and knowledge perverted them.

you call it wisdom,

that's the crucial thing,

Just because you're wise,

you're godly or righteous.

Well, a good example of that

right back to Ezekiel 28.

Because Ezekiel 28 acknowledges
the fact that Satan,

he never ever lost wisdom.

It says that his
wisdom became corrupted.

So he still had wisdom but
now the gift that came from God,

which was designed
to give glory to God,

that gift now was
corrupted because it was...

All the focus of the
gifts were not designed

to give glory to God anymore.

Those focus or
those gifts was now

to bring glory to oneself.

So we see that
when an individual

is gifted with skill,
talent, or ability, wisdom,

whatever it maybe,

when an individual no
longer uses that skill, talent,

or ability to help
people know of the creator,

to help them
know this is the one

who gave these things to me...

To direct them to
God, not themselves.

Once they fall
into that situation,

corruption of wisdom as well.

exactly what we're seeing

through the concepts

fact that individual,

Well, we know that,

that's what God
says about Himself,

But now we have an
individuals saying,

"I am and there
is none beside me."

And the idea of a created being

claiming the prerogatives of God

is the highest
offense, if you will,

The idea that you
are God, or can be God,

the God of creation.

So there is also
many cases in the Bible

individuals that are highlighted

this self-exaltation.

So in my mind I
think of Nebuchadnezzar,

and we'll be talking
about him in future programs.

But
Nebuchadnezzar was an individual
00:06:21.18\00:06:23.21
who eventually got to
the point where he renovated,
00:06:23.24\00:06:26.45
or resurrected
Babylon, it became Neo-Babylon,
00:06:26.48\00:06:31.19
and when we say "Babylon"
00:06:31.22\00:06:32.69
all kinds of images
pop into people's minds.
00:06:32.72\00:06:35.06
You know, Babylon is
a town that still exists
00:06:35.09\00:06:36.96
but at this point
under Nebuchadnezzar's reign
00:06:36.99\00:06:39.29
and that become
the most prominent,
00:06:39.33\00:06:41.26
the greatest super
power on the planet,
00:06:41.30\00:06:43.77
and the most beautiful
city, capital city, if you will,

that exists and one of
the wonders of the world,

the gates, the walls.

In fact, museums are still
fields the greatest museums

have artifacts, and
some of these gates,

and some of these
reconstructions from Babylon.

That's right.

And one day the
Bible talks about

and we'll be highlighting that,

but it talks about
how he went out one day

know, perhaps on a balcony

and oversaw the city and said,

"Is this not great
Babylon that I have built?"

Now this is after he
learned that God is the one

who removes kings
and sets up kings.

And God is the one who
gives wisdom to the wise

and all these things
that we'll be talking about,

but he said I, and he
fell in to his great crisis.

That's right.

Another individual King Herod,
after the death of Christ,

these individuals became
kind of, they felt empowered,

they felt, you know, a
hardening against the truth,

and now that they were
able to kill Christ, well,

now they're gonna go
out and kill His followers.

And so he
arrested the Apostle Peter,

and the Apostle James,
00:07:48.46\00:07:49.90
he executes
James, cuts his head off

and then he orders
the execution of Peter.

And he goes out in between
kind of in this transition,

the people are
gathered, and he goes out
00:07:58.37\00:07:59.94
and gives this great speech
or whatever you wanna call it,

he preaches a
sermon or what have you.

And the people said
this was the voice of God
00:08:04.51\00:08:06.61
and not of a man.
00:08:06.65\00:08:08.18
And it says that he
gave not God the glory,

he accepted that
worship, if you will,

and accepted the
prerogatives of God upon himself

and he dropped
dead, right on the spot.

It says the angel of the
Lord came and he dropped dead.

So we have a case, every
single time in scripture,

where somebody catches
that disease, if you will,

that mindset or
accepts the ideology

or the
philosophy that Lucifer had

that "I am and there

that it leads to
destruction every time.

So what that tells me is just
because something is logical

you would leverage yourself

these religious aspects,

the hip-hop culture.

You would leverage
yourself against people

by just spitting
out facts, random facts.

of these random facts.

You know, the body is
two-thirds water, you know,

some people would

There is all
different random facts.

different languages.

down the Greek and the Hebrew.

to overwhelm people

use that kind of as hook

with your knowledge,

you the real reason

is always connected

of sin and confusion

affected all cultures.

come from this background

culture, we stress it.

so well, He wrote about it."

took them to the same text

And then I asked them,
"Would you let that person in?"

me like I'm crazy.

It says, "The heart is
