¤ ¤ 00:00:01.96\00:00:24.32 The greatest tank battle in history took place here in the 00:00:24.35\00:00:27.42 Ukraine. In June 1941 during the first week of Operation 00:00:27.46\00:00:32.39 Barbarossa, 00:00:32.43\00:00:34.10 the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union, the quiet cornfields and 00:00:34.13\00:00:38.30 small towns of western Ukraine were awakened by the clanking of 00:00:38.33\00:00:43.07 steel and the thunder of explosions. The battle of 00:00:43.10\00:00:46.27 Brody was underway. Three thousand tanks from the Red army 00:00:46.31\00:00:51.78 slammed into 800 Nazi tanks of the first SS Panzer Corp in an 00:00:51.81\00:00:58.02 enormous conflagration of flesh and metal. This was the first 00:00:58.05\00:01:02.76 of a series of huge tank battles along the Russian front that 00:01:02.79\00:01:07.20 would determine the outcome of World War II. Surprisingly these 00:01:07.23\00:01:12.63 great tank battles have a connection with a sleepy little 00:01:12.67\00:01:16.14 town in South Australia thousands of kilometers 00:01:16.17\00:01:19.44 away from here on the other side of the planet. But more 00:01:19.47\00:01:23.65 importantly they provide insight into universal war, the great 00:01:23.68\00:01:28.72 controversy that is still raging today and involves all of us. 00:01:28.75\00:01:33.56 Yes, even you and me. So stay tuned to hear all about it in 00:01:33.59\00:01:39.29 our new program, Defeat of Barbarossa. 00:01:39.33\00:01:44.27 ¤ ¤ 00:01:44.30\00:02:13.36 It happened in the predawn darkness of June 22, 1941. 00:02:13.40\00:02:18.63 Sudden hell broke loose as Hitler's war machine invaded the 00:02:18.67\00:02:23.10 Soviet Union. Tanks rolled and soldiers swarmed across the 00:02:23.14\00:02:27.21 border while bombs of the dreaded Luftwaffe screamed 00:02:27.24\00:02:30.95 overhead. The bloodiest land battle of history began at 3:30 00:02:30.98\00:02:36.22 that fateful June morning. It was a massive blitzkrieg of the 00:02:36.25\00:02:40.26 the Soviet Union covering a 3000 kilometer front from the Baltic 00:02:40.29\00:02:45.39 states down to the Black Sea. It was the longest battlefront in 00:02:45.43\00:02:50.07 military history. Hitler regarded the Soviet Union as his 00:02:50.10\00:02:54.90 natural enemy. He aimed to destroy its armies, capture its 00:02:54.94\00:02:59.24 vast economic resources and enslave its population, 00:02:59.27\00:03:03.31 providing the living space that he believed Germany needed in 00:03:03.35\00:03:07.75 the east. The Germans staged a three-pronged assault involving 00:03:07.78\00:03:13.19 five million troops, 150 divisions and 3000 tanks. To the 00:03:13.22\00:03:18.53 north they stormed through Lithuania toward Leningrad now 00:03:18.56\00:03:22.53 called St. Petersburg. Forces in the middle pillaged their way 00:03:22.56\00:03:26.77 east toward Moscow and to the south they plowed across the 00:03:26.80\00:03:31.21 the Ukraine toward Kiev and Stalingrad. Hitler called his 00:03:31.24\00:03:36.21 invasion of the Soviet Union Operation Barbarossa after the 00:03:36.24\00:03:41.28 famed ruler of the Holy Roman Empire. The attack caught Stalin 00:03:41.32\00:03:46.65 unprepared. The Soviets had not expected the Germans to break 00:03:46.69\00:03:51.76 their secret treaty so suddenly. Armed with the strategic element 00:03:51.79\00:03:56.26 of surprise the invaders made startling progress. In just a 00:03:56.30\00:04:01.40 single week German forces advanced 300 kilometers into 00:04:01.44\00:04:06.27 Soviet territory, destroyed thousands of aircraft and killed 00:04:06.31\00:04:10.71 and captured the wounded over half a million Red Army troops. 00:04:10.75\00:04:14.48 Hitler boasted that his Swastika would soon fly over Moscow 00:04:14.52\00:04:20.46 itself. Initially all went as planned. The Germans were 00:04:20.49\00:04:26.16 advancing on all fronts. Hitler had recognized the potential of 00:04:26.19\00:04:30.20 tanks in warfare. He saw them as one of the most important weapon 00:04:30.23\00:04:34.44 systems on the battlefield. Few weapons strike enemy soldiers 00:04:34.47\00:04:39.04 with the fear than a fully loaded tank rolling toward them 00:04:39.07\00:04:44.48 does. These armored fighting vehicles are specifically 00:04:44.51\00:04:49.58 designed for front line combat with heavy fire power, strong 00:04:49.62\00:04:54.82 armor, tracks and a powerful engine providing good battle 00:04:54.86\00:04:58.26 field maneuverability. And due to its use of tracks rather than 00:04:58.29\00:05:03.26 wheels tanks are like a moving fortress that can move over 00:05:03.30\00:05:07.80 rugged terrain in adverse conditions such as mud and be 00:05:07.84\00:05:11.91 positioned on the battlefield in advantageous locations. The 00:05:11.94\00:05:17.08 Germans designed a series of battle tanks called Panzers 00:05:17.11\00:05:21.45 and Operation Barbarossa was designed and planned around the 00:05:21.48\00:05:26.39 mass use of these tanks. Germany began their live style armored 00:05:26.42\00:05:32.49 campaign known as Blitzkrieg or lightening war spearheaded 00:05:32.53\00:05:37.73 by heavy concentrations of tanks combined with motorized and 00:05:37.77\00:05:42.64 mechanized infantry, artillery and air power designed to break 00:05:42.67\00:05:46.88 through the enemy front and collapse enemy resistance. This 00:05:46.91\00:05:52.55 strategy was particularly effective in the south as the 00:05:52.58\00:05:55.68 Panzers led the Nazi offensive into Ukraine. But the Germans 00:05:55.72\00:06:00.22 weren't the only nation that had amassed the tank force. The 00:06:00.26\00:06:03.96 Russians had also been busy. In fact by the start of the war, 00:06:03.99\00:06:07.73 the Soviets had built more tanks than the rest of the world 00:06:07.76\00:06:12.07 combined, about 22,000 and these included the iconic T34 model 00:06:12.10\00:06:18.57 which with its wide tracks, reliable engines heavy armor and 00:06:18.61\00:06:23.31 dual-purpose turret guns was considered the best medium tank 00:06:23.35\00:06:27.08 in the world. Germany and the Soviet Union built the best 00:06:27.12\00:06:33.56 tanks of World War II. So as the tank forces lined up against 00:06:33.59\00:06:37.79 each other in the small town of Brody western Ukraine, it was 00:06:37.83\00:06:42.60 the clash of titans. Eight hundred Nazi Panzers slammed 00:06:42.63\00:06:47.20 into 3000 Red Army tanks. It was the fiercest battle of the whole 00:06:47.24\00:06:53.84 invasion lasting over a week. The Soviets fought furiously and 00:06:53.88\00:06:59.98 the crews of the German of the German tank and antitank guns 00:07:00.02\00:07:03.55 found to their horror that the new Soviet T34 tanks were almost 00:07:03.59\00:07:09.62 immune to their weapons and the heavier series of Russian tanks 00:07:09.66\00:07:13.29 were impervious to virtually all German antitank weapons. The 00:07:13.33\00:07:18.53 headquarters of the Soviet 15th mechanized corp was destroyed 00:07:18.57\00:07:22.80 and its commander wounded. The Luftwaffe destroyed some 201 00:07:22.84\00:07:28.58 Soviet tanks in this one area alone. The Five Red Army Corp 00:07:28.61\00:07:33.95 opposing the Germans were mishandled while being 00:07:33.98\00:07:37.39 concentrated into large powerful groups. The German troops were 00:07:37.42\00:07:43.16 successful to isolate individual units and destroy them. 00:07:43.19\00:07:48.23 Meanwhile the Luftwaffe ranged free over the battlefields 00:07:48.26\00:07:52.17 bombing the Soviets incessantly and were able to separate the 00:07:52.20\00:07:56.77 supporting Soviet infantry and deny them resupply of fuel and 00:07:56.81\00:08:01.04 ammunition. Although the Red Army inflicted heavy losses on 00:08:01.08\00:08:05.71 the German forces and destroyed hundreds of Panzers, ultimately 00:08:05.75\00:08:10.55 they were out maneuvered by the Germans and suffered enormous 00:08:10.59\00:08:15.16 losses in tanks. In fact, they lost over 50% of their tanks. 00:08:15.19\00:08:20.23 That's more than 1500 of their tanks destroyed. The Battle of 00:08:20.26\00:08:28.10 Brody, the greatest tank battle in history, was a huge tactical 00:08:28.14\00:08:32.24 victory for Hitler and the Nazi war machine. But the victory 00:08:32.27\00:08:36.34 came with a cost. The first S.S. Panzer group had taken a severe 00:08:36.38\00:08:41.78 battering and required time to regroup. And further the battle 00:08:41.82\00:08:46.89 had taken German forces away from an early offensive 00:08:46.92\00:08:49.79 against Moscow and slowed down operation Barbarossa. This delay 00:08:49.82\00:08:55.43 would prove costly. In 1911 exactly 30 years before the 00:08:55.46\00:09:05.84 Battle of Brody a young Australian engineer and 00:09:05.87\00:09:08.98 inventor named Lance Demoll designed the first tank. Lance 00:09:09.01\00:09:14.22 was born in the small town of Wilunger in south Australia and 00:09:14.25\00:09:18.15 moved to Melbourne with his family when he was seven where 00:09:18.19\00:09:21.49 he completed his schooling. After leaving school he trained 00:09:21.52\00:09:25.36 as an engineer and draftsman. While working in the outback as 00:09:25.39\00:09:29.93 a civil engineer, he was having difficulty with his vehicles 00:09:29.96\00:09:33.67 getting bogged, so he invented a vehicle with what we now call 00:09:33.70\00:09:38.04 a caterpillar track that wouldn't get stuck in sand or 00:09:38.07\00:09:41.54 mud. He realized that this vehicle could be used in war. It 00:09:41.58\00:09:46.75 could be armor plated and fitted with guns and could drive 00:09:46.78\00:09:50.42 through barbed wire, cross ditches and trenches without 00:09:50.45\00:09:53.72 getting stuck. He described it as a mobile fortress. Lance 00:09:53.76\00:09:59.06 sent his design to the British war office. They politely 00:09:59.09\00:10:04.50 rejected his design as there was no need for such a machine at 00:10:04.53\00:10:06.90 that time and his plans were Pidgeon-holed. A friend advised 00:10:06.94\00:10:10.91 him to take his advice to the German consul. He declined as 00:10:10.94\00:10:15.58 he thought Germany could become an enemy at some later date. 00:10:15.61\00:10:19.58 With the outbreak of World War I he redesigned his mobile fort 00:10:19.61\00:10:25.32 and again forwarded it to the British war office in 1915. They 00:10:25.35\00:10:30.66 requested a working model which he provided. They liked what 00:10:30.69\00:10:34.60 they saw and recommended it to the tank board. The name tank 00:10:34.63\00:10:40.57 was given to the vehicle they were trying to build in an 00:10:40.60\00:10:43.77 effort to keep it top secret. They didn't want anyone to find 00:10:43.81\00:10:49.04 out what they were working on and so publicly they described 00:10:49.08\00:10:53.72 it as vehicle designed to carry water over rough terrain, a 00:10:53.75\00:10:58.19 mobile water tank. That's how it got its name "tank." The very 00:10:58.22\00:11:03.73 first tank they consequently developed had several of the 00:11:03.76\00:11:10.00 features from Lance's design. But the British war office paid 00:11:10.03\00:11:14.10 no royalties to the young Australian. After World War I 00:11:14.14\00:11:18.44 ended the war office awarded Lance Demoll expenses for his 00:11:18.47\00:11:23.04 work and awarded him the honor Commander of the Order of the 00:11:23.08\00:11:27.78 British Empire. And so 30 years after Lance Demoll first 00:11:27.82\00:11:33.09 designed the tank 100s of highly developed German Panzer tanks 00:11:33.12\00:11:37.49 were moving further east after their victory at Brody and on to 00:11:37.53\00:11:42.56 Kiev, one of the oldest cities in eastern Europe and the third 00:11:42.60\00:11:45.13 largest city in 00:11:45.17\00:11:46.50 the Soviet Union. Despite bad weather and courageous 00:11:46.53\00:11:52.24 resistance the Germans captured Kiev involving the largest 00:11:52.27\00:11:56.11 encirclement of troops in history. Nearly the entire 00:11:56.14\00:12:00.58 southwestern front of the Red Army was encircled with the 00:12:00.62\00:12:04.32 Germans capturing over 600,000 Soviet soldiers, 2642 guns and 00:12:04.35\00:12:11.09 mortars and 64 tanks. It was an unprecedented defeat for the Red 00:12:11.13\00:12:16.90 Army. The Nazis continued their relentless and seemingly 00:12:16.93\00:12:23.00 unstoppable march eastward toward Stalingrad. The city was 00:12:23.04\00:12:28.08 located in southwest Russia on the Volga river. It was a major 00:12:28.11\00:12:32.58 industrial and communications center for the Soviet Union in 00:12:32.61\00:12:37.02 the south. Also, it was named after the Soviet leader, Joseph 00:12:37.05\00:12:42.19 Stalin. This made the city important to Stalin and also 00:12:42.22\00:12:46.73 important to Hitler who hated Stalin. The battle began in July 00:12:46.76\00:12:53.03 1942 with the German air force, the Luftwaffe, bombing along the 00:12:53.07\00:12:57.74 Volga river and then the city of Stalingrad itself. They reduced 00:12:57.77\00:13:02.71 much of the city to rubble. Soon the German army moved in and was 00:13:02.74\00:13:08.12 able to take a large portion of the city. However, the Soviet 00:13:08.15\00:13:13.09 troops were not ready to give up Fighting in the city was fierce. 00:13:13.12\00:13:17.13 Soviets hid all over the city, in buildings and even the sewers 00:13:17.16\00:13:22.16 attacking the German soldiers. This brutal battle began to take 00:13:22.20\00:13:28.20 its toll on the Germans. In Nervenda, the Soviets gathered 00:13:28.24\00:13:35.31 and launched a fierce counter attack. They trapped the German 00:13:35.34\00:13:38.41 army inside the city. Soon the Germans began to run out of food 00:13:38.45\00:13:43.22 Finally weak from lack of food and freezing from the cold 00:13:43.25\00:13:47.82 winter, the majority of the German army surrendered. This 00:13:47.86\00:13:54.36 humiliating loss at Stalingrad left the German troops 00:13:54.40\00:13:56.23 demoralized. Hitler desperately needed a clear victory over the 00:13:56.26\00:14:00.97 Soviet Union to restore morale among his troops. He looked to 00:14:01.00\00:14:05.91 the small town of Kursk about 500 kilometers southeast of 00:14:05.94\00:14:10.95 Moscow to provide the opportunity he needed to finally 00:14:10.98\00:14:15.55 make a breakthrough and once again he turned to the SS Panzer 00:14:15.58\00:14:19.85 tank corp to lead the way and bring him victory. German forces 00:14:19.89\00:14:26.13 had trapped a sizeable portion of the Red Army near Kursk. The 00:14:26.16\00:14:30.87 German leaders believed they could launch and offensive to 00:14:30.90\00:14:34.54 destroy those forces and turn the tables against the Soviet 00:14:34.57\00:14:38.21 Union. Hitler planned an all out assault by German tanks and 00:14:38.24\00:14:43.48 aircraft, but he delayed the beginning of the operation 00:14:43.51\00:14:46.72 several times and this gave the Soviets plenty of time to 00:14:46.75\00:14:52.35 organize their defenses. On July 5, 1943, the Germans finally 00:14:52.39\00:14:57.76 launched their attack. They found little resistance at first 00:14:57.79\00:15:01.73 because the Soviet commander, Szukoff ordered his lines to 00:15:01.76\00:15:06.60 bend but not to break. The Germans soon overextended their 00:15:06.63\00:15:12.17 position. The major tank battle took place at Prokhorovka near 00:15:12.21\00:15:17.75 Kursk on July 12 when over 600 Soviet tanks smashed head-on 00:15:17.78\00:15:24.89 into 300 German tanks from the second Panzer corp. The fighting 00:15:24.92\00:15:29.09 was some of the fiercest in the history of tank warfare. The 00:15:29.12\00:15:33.70 Soviets lost about 400 tanks. About two-thirds of their force. 00:15:33.73\00:15:39.83 German tank losses were smaller by comparison, up to 80 tanks 00:15:39.87\00:15:45.47 destroyed. But the Germans weren't able to break through 00:15:45.51\00:15:48.11 the Russian lines and were too exhausted to continue their 00:15:48.14\00:15:51.78 offensive. And so the momentum swung to the side of the Soviets 00:15:51.81\00:15:57.55 who eventually won the battle of Kursk and destroyed the last 00:15:57.59\00:16:01.92 remaining reserves of Germany's Panzer power. It was the turning 00:16:01.96\00:16:13.34 point of Operation Barbarossa. The German offensive ended and 00:16:13.37\00:16:18.21 the Soviet offensive began. The Red Army began reclaiming lost 00:16:18.24\00:16:23.85 territory. By early November there on the outskirts of Kiev 00:16:23.88\00:16:28.05 and established their headquarters here at 00:16:28.08\00:16:30.42 the small village of 00:16:30.45\00:16:32.75 Navukitrasi. After three days of fierce fighting Kiev was 00:16:32.79\00:16:37.36 liberated and three years of Nazi terror ended. Today this 00:16:37.39\00:16:46.43 victory is commemorated by the huge motherland monument in the 00:16:46.47\00:16:49.34 heart of Kiev. It stands on the hill overlooking the city. The 00:16:49.37\00:16:54.34 stainless steel statue stands 62 meters tall with the overall 00:16:54.38\00:16:59.01 structure measuring 102 meters including its base and weighing 00:16:59.05\00:17:04.49 560 tons. The sword in the statue's hand is 60 meters long 00:17:04.52\00:17:11.76 and weighs nine tons. With the left hand holding up a 13 x 8 00:17:11.79\00:17:16.73 meter shield with the state emblem of the Soviet Union. It 00:17:16.77\00:17:20.97 stands today as a reminder that with the victory of Kiev the Red 00:17:21.00\00:17:26.44 Army was on the march westward and they didn't stop until the 00:17:26.47\00:17:31.85 Germans surrendered among the rubble and ruins of Berlin. 00:17:31.88\00:17:36.92 Operation Barbarossa remains the largest military operation 00:17:36.95\00:17:41.42 in manpower, area traversed and casualties in world history. The 00:17:41.46\00:17:48.73 failure of Operation Barbarossa 00:17:48.76\00:17:50.33 resulted in the eventual defeat of Nazi Germany and is 00:17:50.37\00:17:54.87 considered the turning point for Hitler and the Nazis. Most 00:17:54.90\00:17:58.37 importantly Operation Barbarossa opened up the eastern front 00:17:58.41\00:18:03.45 which ultimately became the biggest theater of war in world 00:18:03.48\00:18:07.88 history. The war had come full circle. Operation Barbarossa 00:18:07.92\00:18:14.59 began with the greatest tank battle in history and the 00:18:14.62\00:18:19.06 defeat of the Red Army a Brody. And just two laters it ended at 00:18:19.09\00:18:24.50 Kursk with another huge tank battle and the defeat of the 00:18:24.53\00:18:28.87 Nazis and victory for the Red Army. Yes, the war had come full 00:18:28.90\00:18:31.67 circle. And it reminds of another war; the universal war 00:18:31.71\00:18:38.65 the war behind all wars. It's a cosmic conflict between right 00:18:38.68\00:18:44.22 and wrong, between light and darkness, between God and a 00:18:44.25\00:18:50.29 rebel angel Lucifer. Surprisingly this war started in 00:18:50.33\00:18:55.00 heaven of all places. You can read all about it in the Bible. 00:18:55.03\00:18:59.33 Notice what it says here in Revelation: 00:18:59.37\00:19:02.40 Lucifer who became Satan through pride and jealousy wanted to 00:19:33.70\00:19:39.87 take the place of God. He wanted to take over, so he started a 00:19:39.91\00:19:45.68 rebellion, a war in heaven, a universal war. But Satan lost 00:19:45.71\00:19:49.88 the battle against God and he and his army of rebel angels 00:19:49.92\00:19:53.92 were cast to this world. And so planet earth became the arena 00:19:53.96\00:20:00.26 of the universal war. The war between good and evil, God and 00:20:00.30\00:20:07.37 Satan. Now God had created a perfect world for our first 00:20:07.40\00:20:11.91 parents, Adam and Eve. But Satan deceived them into joining his 00:20:11.94\00:20:16.08 rebellion against God. Sin entered the world and it seemed 00:20:16.11\00:20:20.85 that Satan had won the battle for planet earth in the great 00:20:20.88\00:20:24.55 universal war. Now all humanity is involved in this great 00:20:24.59\00:20:30.26 conflict, this universal war between God and Satan, between 00:20:30.29\00:20:35.43 good and evil. Yes, we're all involved, even you and me, and 00:20:35.46\00:20:42.67 as we know in our heart of hearts, we've all sinned and 00:20:42.70\00:20:46.91 joined the rebellion against God. Listen to what it says in 00:20:46.94\00:20:50.35 the Bible book of Romans chapter 3 and verse 23: 00:20:50.38\00:20:55.38 In this universal war, the war between good and evil, between 00:21:02.29\00:21:07.53 God and Satan, the entire human race has sinned and rebelled 00:21:07.56\00:21:13.47 God. Sin, rebellion, separates us from God and life. Here's 00:21:13.50\00:21:20.18 what the Bible says in Isaiah chapter 59 verses 1 and 2: 00:21:20.21\00:21:26.82 Men and women were made for fellowship with God, to be in 00:21:34.26\00:21:40.16 harmony with their Maker. When humans sinned they turned away 00:21:40.20\00:21:44.97 from God, they rejected God, they rebelled against God. And 00:21:45.00\00:21:49.70 there are consequences associated with rebelling 00:21:49.74\00:21:52.57 against God. Listen to what the Bible says in Romans chapter 6 00:21:52.61\00:21:57.21 and verse 23. 00:21:57.25\00:21:59.61 So because we've all sinned and rebelled against God we're 00:22:03.69\00:22:10.63 doomed. But there's good news. In this universal war between 00:22:10.66\00:22:15.76 God and Satan, God has a solution. God sent his son Jesus 00:22:15.80\00:22:21.97 to pay the penalty for our sins, to die in our place. He is our 00:22:22.00\00:22:28.98 substitute. He died in our place On a hill called Golgotha the 00:22:29.01\00:22:35.48 critical battle in the great universal war took place and 00:22:35.52\00:22:39.35 when Jesus died on the cross it appeared that Satan had 00:22:39.39\00:22:43.56 defeated God and won the war. All the forces of the evil one 00:22:43.59\00:22:48.93 watched with glee as Jesus breathed his last. They were 00:22:48.96\00:22:52.73 even more delighted when his limp, lifeless body was placed 00:22:52.77\00:22:57.84 in a borrowed tomb. But then as the light broke on the 00:22:57.87\00:23:02.01 resurrection morning Jesus overcame death and emerged 00:23:02.04\00:23:06.21 victorious from the grave. He's our Savior and if we accept 00:23:06.25\00:23:11.25 him and believe in him our sins are forgiven and we have eternal 00:23:11.29\00:23:16.46 life. Listen to what the Bible says in John chapter 3 and 00:23:16.49\00:23:22.56 verse 16... 00:23:22.60\00:23:34.44 And so because Jesus has paid the penalty for your sins 00:23:34.48\00:23:39.75 whoever you are, wherever you are and whatever you've done 00:23:39.78\00:23:45.45 your guilt can be healed and your sins forgiven. Yes the war 00:23:45.49\00:23:49.39 that began in heaven is still going on in the universe and in 00:23:49.42\00:23:53.23 our hearts. We're all involved in this continuing universal war 00:23:53.26\00:23:58.13 bad things happen. We fall and get discouraged and depressed. 00:23:58.17\00:24:03.51 But no matter how long your guilt and sin have haunted you 00:24:03.54\00:24:08.08 tortured you, crushed you, you can take it to Jesus just now. 00:24:08.11\00:24:13.42 and come away free and assured of forgiveness. And here's the 00:24:13.45\00:24:18.75 good news. The universal war, the war between good and evil, 00:24:18.79\00:24:22.92 between God and Satan has just about come full circle. It's 00:24:22.96\00:24:28.56 just about over. The same Jesus who died on the cross is soon to 00:24:28.60\00:24:33.40 return as King of kings and Lord of lords. The great controversy 00:24:33.44\00:24:38.81 between good and evil will be over forever. Sin and evil will 00:24:38.84\00:24:44.38 be destroyed and this earth will be restored to its original 00:24:44.41\00:24:48.68 perfect condition. That's the kind of world I'm looking 00:24:48.72\00:24:52.39 forward to. How about you? Does the idea of living in perfect 00:24:52.42\00:24:57.33 peace and harmony appeal to you? If it does why not decide right 00:24:57.36\00:25:03.57 now as we pray to be ready to meet Jesus when he comes. 00:25:03.60\00:25:09.27 Dear heavenly Father, we are all soldiers in the battle of life. 00:25:09.30\00:25:14.24 We are living behind enemy lines Please give us strength to 00:25:14.28\00:25:19.38 endure the struggles and challenges of the universal war. 00:25:19.41\00:25:23.62 Lord we know the outcome of this great controversy and we want to 00:25:23.65\00:25:29.19 be on the winning side. We know that Jesus will be victorious 00:25:29.22\00:25:33.26 and that he is coming to make all things new. May we be ready 00:25:33.29\00:25:38.30 to meet Jesus when he comes. We pray in Jesus' name, Amen. 00:25:38.33\00:25:45.97 The battle of Brody was the greatest tank battle in history. 00:25:46.01\00:25:53.38 Three thousand tanks from the Red Army slammed into 800 Nazi 00:25:53.42\00:25:57.92 tanks of the First SS Panzer Corp in an enormous 00:25:57.95\00:26:02.72 conflagration of flesh and metal The battle provides insights 00:26:02.76\00:26:06.33 into the universal battle and the war behind all wars.
