And it also reveals
what God did his life,

while here on earth.

And last, the
prophecies of Daniel 8, 9 opens

to us the very year, the
judgment begins in heaven.

Now perhaps the close
as we can get to Daniel

is right here in Qumran.

of Daniel that we possess

unpack this prophecy,

promotes Daniel to ruler

wise man of the kingdom.

Over 58 years go by, and
Daniel is now in his 70's.

To date, he's had
three different dreams,

but they all met the same thing,

four world kingdoms.

the same four kingdoms

that also the parallels

And we know from
inspiration in history

who those kingdoms were?

Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece,

and Rome, both Pagan and Papal.

But now in his
vision of Chapter 8,

Daniel hears one
angel asking another,

"How long shall be the vision
concerning the daily sacrifice,

For the Jews, life centered
around the sanctuary of temple.

The sacrificial
system was integral

to their faith and experience.

angel say it would be 2,300 days

idea what this meant.

But it didn't sound good to him,

time seemed insufferable.

I can hear Daniel wondering,

"How long till the sanctuary
will be restored in Jerusalem?"

be trampled and trodden

by the enemies of God?"

And then in verse 14,

comes an answer
that shakes him up,

and three hundred days,

This vision was
too much for Daniel.

And he fainted and was sick.

Daniel was sick,
for days he languished,

he's astonished by
the vision he had seen.

Now what did that mean?

He read the words of
Jeremiah the prophet.

His people, the Jews were
supposed to be in captivity

for only 70 years.

Now would the children
of Israel not be allowed

to go home after all?

Would the
prophecy of Jeremiah fail?

So he sets
himself to seek the Lord.

What did the vision
