study the events that transpire

the events during and after

the millennium, we need to speak
about the event that takes place

the thousand years begin.

be the second coming of Christ.

destroys the wicked.

And then, of course, as soon
as all of the wicked are dead,

then the millennium begins.

Jesus takes His people to heaven
and the millennium begins.

Now there are three
things that occur at the

of the earth is described

second coming of Christ.

Here, Jeremiah in vision says,
"I beheld the earth, and indeed

it was without form, and void."

So it's going to return
to the condition it was in

before creation week.

Disorderly and void.

It continues say, "And the
heavens, they had no light."

Do you remember at creation the
earth was without form and void,

and there was darkness?

So the earth is going to return
to the condition that it was,

God began the
process of creation week.

and indeed they trembled..."

Because there's a big
earthquake when Jesus comes.

hills moved back and forth.

So there are no human
beings alive, according to this.

In fact, every living thing.

Verse 26 says, "I beheld,

LORD, by His fierce anger."

And then we have this
very important verse, verse 27.

"For thus says the LORD, 'The
whole land shall be desolate;

yet I will not
make a full end.'"

In other words, what
has just been described

is not the full end.

Because there are events
that are going to take place

after the millennium,
after the thousand years.

the earth without form and void,

the earth like a wilderness,

second coming of Christ.

But verse 27 says
that is not the full end.

millennium and you still have

transpire after the millennium.

So first of all, at the
second coming the earth is

Second, all of the
wicked will die at the

second coming of Christ.

Of course, those who
died before the second coming

will remain dead.

But those who are
alive when Jesus comes,

they will perish.

And all of the
wicked will be dead

during the thousand years.

You can read that, for
example, in Revelation 19:21,

where it says that the rest
of the wicked were destroyed

by the brightness
of the coming of Jesus.

In the third place, we
know that immediately before

the millennium
begins, Satan, and by the way,

his angels as well,
will be bound to planet earth

for the thousand year period.

And he's bound here
for two specific reasons.

Number one, so that he can
contemplate the work of ruin
00:05:13.98\00:05:18.28
that he has
worked upon this world.
00:05:18.31\00:05:19.91
See, now he doesn't really pay
any attention to what's going on
00:05:19.95\00:05:23.22
because he's too busy.
00:05:23.25\00:05:24.69
But during the thousand
years, he's going to have to sit

and he's going to have
to look at what he has done.
00:05:27.26\00:05:30.86
And then secondly, he
also is going to have time to

meditate upon what is
going to happen to him

after the thousand years.

Because he knows very well
what the book of Revelation

has to say about him at
the end of the thousand years.

Now I would like to read from
the book, Great Controversy,

White explains why the devil

will be forced to remain
here during the thousand years.

This is how it reads,

beyond the power of Satan..."

During the millennium.

In other words, he's so busy
he hasn't had time to reflect.

against the
government of Heaven,

to the dreadful

for all the evil that
he has done and be punished

for the sins that he
has caused to be committed."

So that's the reason why Satan
is exiled to this wilderness

of an earth during
the thousand years.

So these are the
three things that happen

at the second coming of Christ.

Number one, what is it?

Number one, the earth is reduced
to a desolate wilderness.

Number two, all the wicked die.

And number three,
the Bible tells us

that Satan and his
angels, primarily Satan, will be

bound to this earth
for a thousand years.

Now we need to talk
about what will transpire
00:07:40.86\00:07:43.59
during the millennium.
00:07:43.79\00:07:45.29
See, the second coming
marks the moment when the
00:07:45.33\00:07:47.86
millennium is about to begin.
00:07:47.90\00:07:49.30
Actually, when Jesus arrives
in heaven with the righteous,

then the
millennial judgment begins.
00:07:53.34\00:07:56.97
Now as we have seen, all of the
lost of every age will be dead

at the second coming of Christ.
00:08:03.18\00:08:04.98
Some will have
died before Jesus comes,

and the others will die at
the moment when Jesus comes
00:08:07.65\00:08:11.12
as a result of, not
only His coming, but also the
00:08:11.15\00:08:14.16
plagues that fell before.
00:08:14.19\00:08:15.72
But this death of the
wicked is not their final
00:08:16.19\00:08:19.39
punishment for sin.

You see, the Bible tells us
that their punishment for sin

is the second
death, not the first death.

You can read
that in Revelation 20.

So even though they're
destroyed by the brightness

of Christ's coming, even though
some died before Jesus came,

still that death is not
their punishment for sin.

Because God would not
punish them without first

giving them their day in court.

So in other words,
they are going to see their

judgment process as well.

execute the judgment.

have a chance to see

the record of their lives.

what the wicked suffer,

What is the purpose of
the millennial judgment?

Basically, the purpose of
the millennial judgment is to

be in heaven with Jesus.

moment that they're going to

perform a work of judgment.

The saved have to see
that God acted correctly

in leaving the wicked behind.

There will be some
people missing in heaven

that the righteous were
sure were going to be there.
